State Chateau Trebon is a must-visit Renaissance-style mansion with opulent interiors and picturesque English gardens. It's one of the largest castle complexes in the Czech Republic, replacing the original gothic castle of the Lords of Rosenberg. The chateau offers engaging guided tours for children, allowing them to interact with historical furniture and take photos with costumed guides.
Beautiful park ;) It seems very nice city , it wasn’t in my plan to visit the city , but I’m coming back soon ,

A beautiful city well worth a visit. Stunning historical buildings and a beautiful park with a big playground to keep your kids busy while you just chill. It's a stones throw from the square which has an abundance of cafés, restaurants, ice cream parlors, retail shops, etc. It gets quite busy, parking can be an issue, so maybe get there earlier.

Very beatiful place. Very nice chateau. Very nice city. Very good entertainment performances. Best spa resort.

I visited Trebon in October of 2019, on a day trip originating from Ceske Budejovice. It was a pleasant walk from the train station to the city center. As I visited on a Sunday, the town was quiet, but Trebon is still a nice place to visit. Tour the brewery, if you like. The Town Square offers lunch, ice cream, parks with seating. A good quiet day, and I had plenty of photo opportunity

Wonderful place, many weddings take place there. The park that surrounds chateau is full of colourful flowers 😉

We had a wonderful experience with the tour for young children (navsteva u pani knezny) and can only recommend it. Besides the engaging tour the children could sit on some of the historical furniture and take pictures with the guide, who was wearing costume. After the tour the children received a nice work sheet to review the newly gained knowledge. This is one of the few castles in the area that offers a special tour for children.

Brewery
BOHEMIA REGENT Inc., established in AD 1379, is a remarkable brewery in South Bohemia with a rich history spanning 636 years. It stands as one of the oldest breweries in Central Europe, showcasing the beautifully preserved Schwarzenberg industrial architecture from the late 19th Century.
A really nice tourguide through a great brewery. The tour was in Czech but as we walked in the conplex, he took al time to answer our questions and afterwards he dra k a beer with us. Al lot of thanks and if you have time and are bored by the many (beautiful) castles in Czech Republic, go check out the brewery!

Worst service ever, refused to serve a drink after few seconds hesitation in giving order. No patience at all, you have to be ready, dont ask for anythung additional, at the end they banned our group to enter agai. Because we didnt clean glasses after.
Matus G — Google review
Do not trust anything they publish online! We made a 30 km bycyle tour to beautiful Třeboñ, mainly to spend some time on the “Terasa” (terrace restaurant) of the brewery which, according to the official brewery website shoul be open starting 11 a.m.! It was closed all day - the only thing opened was the souvenir shop where I found someone who spoke some English and asked if the “Terasa” maybe opened later that day (Sunday, 24. September 2023). Guess what: nope! Website maintenance is an important part of customer service and as far as opening times are concerned, Regent SUCKS A LOT. If you want to put off customers and your main concern is making money during the summer holidays: keep going that way. Otherwise get someone focused on what is published on www in your name. And no: I was not in the mood to buy your souvenirs, being too much disappointed.

A true pearl of South Bohemia. Est. AD 1379, one of the oldest breweries of Central Europe, the longest continuous tradition 636 years long. Still underrated Schwarzenberg industrial architecture of late 19th Century exquisitely preserved making this one of the most charming breweries in Bohemia. Extraordinarily wide portfolio consisting of more than 10 beers including non-alcoholic Renegade and light 8° pale as well as special 13° semi Peter Vok, 14° President and 16° Prince, true golden cards of this regional family brewery.

Restaurant
Krčma U Kellyho is a unique restaurant that offers a medieval dining experience with tailor-made programs for special events. The restaurant is experienced in organizing corporate programs, weddings, and parties. The ambiance features a moody medieval interior with traditional decor and music, creating an authentic old city vibe. Guests can enjoy generous portions of delicious food and beer while being served by friendly and efficient staff. Although some visitors had difficulty finding the restaurant, they appreciated the alchemist-themed decor and prompt seating upon arrival.
We had a bit of difficulty finding the restaurant even with Google maps. Loved the medieval alchemist decor! We were seated immediately, candles were lit. A very pleasant lady took our order and brought our drinks. Did not have to wait for our food long. I ordered the most expensive fish, candát. Although the taste was fine, I felt the presentation was very plain. My husband’s ribs were a little on the dry, tough side that did not improve with the addition of fresh horseradish or mustard. It could have used some sauce, not necessarily a barbecue. However, the service was delightful, and we loved the ambiance. Bathrooms were clean and roomy. Credit cards accepted.

To put it simply, their pork knuckle blew our socks off! 😁 VERY good food and friendly service. I also tried their fish and grilled brie cheese, both yummy 👌🏻

Schwarzenberg Tomb, located near Trebon in South Bohemia, is a captivating neo-gothic architectural wonder. Situated not far from the Svet Pond, this tomb offers guided visits with detailed explanations that enhance the experience. Visitors are enchanted by its beauty and often liken it to something out of a Disney movie. It's truly a beautiful and fascinating place to explore.
Beautiful, final resting place for members of a noble family of Schwarzenbergs. It is an easy walk along "Svet" (a huge pond). It is closed on Mondays, but even the walk around and pondering the beauty of the place and our own mortality is worth it.

We visited during Christmas time, and were looking for a delicious local food. When walked in, the unpleasant smell of burnt fat/ food was so overwhelming, we considered leaving. The bright blue “modern” spiral lights are sharp and way too brute, and together with the empty walls resemble a cafeteria, not a high end restaurant. The building itself is lovely, but the interior is uninviting. The restaurant was empty on Friday evening, which was strange, given that all of the other local places were filled up. We waited a minute for the hostess/ waitress that was chatting and laughing in the kitchen and paid no attention to us waiting to be seated. We had no problems getting in without a reservation as we were the only guests. Two other tables filled up during our time there. We ordered the “meat in the glass” appetizer and it was good. We particularly enjoyed the small picked chanterelles and vegetable that came with it. When we asked for steaks selection, the waitress came in with 3 pieces of steak in plastic wrap, and informed us that only the lowest quality steak is local, the better steaks are all from Poland! A restaurant that is supposed to offer typical, yet elevated Czech food has the best steaks from Poland?!? Mind you, they weren’t cheap, or phenomenal. Asked for the steak to be cooked medium and the second main dishes was the baked pumpkin. Food came in about 30 min- unfortunately, the steak was unevenly cooked and only the middle 3 cuts were actually cooked medium, the rest was definitely well done and rubbery. The pumpkin was good but it was on top of red pepper sauce. There were soo many peppercorns that every bite crunched as if you are eating sand. We are talking about 30-40 peppers in one serving. For desert, we had the apple crumble that took over 30 minutes- mind you there only 6 guests in the whole restaurant. The apples were mushy with very little/ no texture left to them- more like an apple sauce and the “crumbles” had the apple thick oats that were chewy and unpleasant. We paid about double of what we would pay in other restaurants for a dinner for two and were let down by the subpar food/service/ atmosphere and extra high prices. Would not recommend. The other local restaurants we visited were worth going back to- this one, sadly, isn’t.

(Translated by Google) We went to the restaurant for breakfast (we were staying elsewhere in Třeboň, but our accommodation offered the option of pre-paying for breakfast at the Galerie restaurant). We were satisfied - the breakfast was buffet style, the breakfast serving time suited us (7.30-9.30). The buffet menu was a little different every day, so it wasn't monotonous. The food was also constantly replenished, so it didn't happen that anyone who came late would be unlucky. We would especially like to appreciate the attentive staff, the head waiter was very helpful, he paid attention if the food was running out, replenished it immediately, seated new guests, etc. We recommend it!

DaMartie is a highly recommended restaurant known for its family-friendly atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant offers a kids menu and features indoor and outdoor play areas, making it an ideal dining spot for families. The staff is skilled and friendly, ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests. While the menu used to focus on fish dishes due to its proximity to lakes, it now offers a more diverse selection while still retaining popular items like fish soup and carp fillet.
Fish cream soup with the filled roll was exclusive. As well.as both the mains: mushrooms with sour cream and carp fish and dill sauce. Watching our baby playing next to us was a great benefit too! We have to come back!

I really appreciate the behavior of the waiter, who waited with the soup until my wife and child came from the children's corner. They even have children's cutlery in the restaurant for very young children on request! The waiter remembers everything by heart and doesn't make a mistake, but that's really not seen these days! The food is a great idea to revive Czech cuisine! After all, here in our country they cooked with so many ingredients, there's always room to come up with something new - and here you will get it! Have a coffee (you can be sure that you can without milk) and dessert - a great ending. I had the feeling again the whole time, as if someone was taking warm care of me!

High quality food, good service. This place was more like a fish restaurant in the past, with many fish dishes on menu, due to closeness to lakes where they grow Trebon Carp. Now it's menu is quite brief, but the fish soup and carp fillet are still there. Much recommended.

Very bad service with an attitude. A bad experience for my grandmother as she bent the paper on the menu...so she was told by the barmen (who also seats people in the restaurant) to be careful, so we left after we realised how precious their paper attached to the menu was...they should invest in more paper. There were only 3 people in the bar, nobody in the restaurant apart from us at 6pm!..The reviews must be fake. I recommend not spending a penny here. And the owner is extremely annoying with excuses.

The J.K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen is a contemporary theater known for its bubble facade and stunning neo-Renaissance building. It hosts a wide range of performances including opera, drama, music, and ballet. The theater has three scenes and four ensembles responsible for producing around 600 shows annually, making it a hub for the performing arts in the Czech Republic. Many successful actors and actresses began their careers here before moving on to Prague theatres.
Very interesting tour of the whole building with a guide (in Czech). NB! Don’t stand at the main entrance, the gathering is next to one of the back doors.

Humble hotel in an 19th-century building offering a laid-back restaurant & a live music hall.
I was welcomed by an enthusiastic and attentive host. My one-night stay was quite pleasant, and I slept well. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and was very tasty, allowing me to start my day off right. Well-deserved 5 stars!

Restaurant review: Ambiance is great Service staff are trained well Food 0 stars, especially pasta with egg from the lunch menu. We didn’t find any bacon in it, it tasted as if it was cooked 2 days ago. And on top it was dried and one could almost break their teeth 🤦🏼‍♀️

Stayed here with a group. The hotel is in the centre of Vimperk and 20 minutes on foot from the train station. Rooms are decent and clean. The food at the hotel restaurant is pretty average. Breakfast is self-service and sufficient. You can easily walk around town from the hotel. All in all a pleasant stay but nothing special.
Jaka K — Google review
Room was clean enough. English is barely spoken in the reception, the receptionist had to use google translate. Breakfast is terrible. Internet doesn't work. If like me you need it for work it will not be possible, I had to use my phone data... Also, several of the reviews seem to be fake from burn accounts. DO NOT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL.
Alexandre L — Google review
They were flexible with substitutions. That’s always appreciated.

Nice hotel close to the city center, good breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately the walls are pretty thin, so if you're unlucky with your room neighbours you may have a hard time getting sleep...

Good little hotel. Friendly staff. Forgot to clean room 2x during 1 week stay. Food good, bar good, very reasonably priced. Locals in the town are quite cold and a far cry from friendly.

River
Nestled in the picturesque basin of the Lužnice River, this enchanting area is characterized by its rich landscape of heavy clays and lush peat formations. Since medieval times, it has thrived on a freshwater fishing economy, particularly known for its carp farming. The largest fishpond here was established by Jakub Krcin and bears the name of the Rozmberk family, who were instrumental in promoting fish breeding alongside their founding of Trebon's Augustinian monastery.

(Translated by Google) A very beautiful walk. Partly you go through the forest, partly around meadows, which is quite challenging in hot weather, but there are plenty of opportunities for swimming. I definitely recommend taking some snacks with you. We met only a few cyclists. We were here in May, so unfortunately all the kiosks were still closed. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to have at least one toika along the way (Original) Moc krásná vycházka. Možná by neškodilo mít cestou alespoň jednu toiku

Friendly and quirky place with good coffee. For your kids I warmly recommend the chance for them to make marzipan sculptures upstairs. At CZK 65 it's very cheap, and the room is quite large, so shouldn't get full. Not sure if that area is always open though.

Restaurace Zdejší kuchyně is a charming restaurant that offers local cuisine and fish specialties. Despite not having a reservation, the friendly staff quickly seated us at a table. The food was excellent, featuring seasonal offerings such as pike perch, beetroot with horseradish, potato fondant with broccoli, and cutlets from pork tenderloin. The ambiance was pleasant, with attentive and kind service.
