Rho in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Rho, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Rho is best known for hosting Fiera Milano, one of Europe’s largest exhibition centers, which brings major trade fairs, design shows, and events within easy reach. The town has a compact historic center with churches such as San Vittore and traditional Lombard streets that give a quieter, small-city contrast to nearby Milan. Excellent train and metro connections make Rho a practical base for exploring Milan’s museums, fashion districts, and nightlife while staying in a less congested area. Nearby parks and green areas add options for relaxed walks and short escapes from the urban bustle.
With favorites like La Corona d'Oro, Extrò Grill Cafè, and Pizzeria D'Este, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Il Regno della Pizza and Ci siamo trasferiti in Via Giacomo Leopardi, 8, Pregnana Milanese. Ristorante Il Conte so you can get the best taste of Rho while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Fiera Milano

Exhibition and trade center
Fiera Milano is a monumental exhibition center that has been a cornerstone of trade fairs and conferences since its establishment in 1920. Nestled in Rho, just outside Milan, it boasts expansive spaces and cutting-edge facilities, making it one of Europe's largest venues for exhibitions. The area surrounding Fiera Milano is vibrant and lively, with chic bars, pizzerias, and delightful restaurants to explore.
I visit the Milan Fairgrounds every April for the Design Week as an interior designer, to discover the latest trends in interior design and furniture. It’s an impressive and inspiring venue, and every year the organizers make a real effort to make this enormous (and sometimes overwhelming) space more accessible to visitors. The layout is essentially one long corridor with exhibition halls on each side. My tip: plan your visit in advance and focus on the pavilions that interest you most — even a full day or two isn’t enough to see it all.
YUNU D — Google review
It’s a great place to come to for exhibits and shows. Beautiful architecture that utilizes large areas of outdoors as well. Parking and accessibility is well covered. Food options for 2025 and Europe are not good if you are vegan, vegetarian or Plantbased! Even though there are decals on some of the booths advertising vegan food it’s extremely slim pickings! Fruit and salad if you are lucky! Italy prides itself on its food culture but there’s a big lack here for the health, planet and animal conscious eater! Not cool!
Felicitas O — Google review
Place for fairs and exhibitions. Easy access via metro and even train. Huge pavilions, facilities are normal. Expensive parking and queues to leave fair by car as long as all visitors and exhibitors leave fair at the same time.
Violetta P — Google review
Fabulous site for a Trade Fair. This time visiting technology for the food industry. Easily accesible by train or metro. Good installations
David R — Google review
Fiera Milano is a fantastic venue for fairs, huge and well-organized. Host Milano is going great, though the layout feels a bit confusing with halls like 1-3 and 2-4 being oddly arranged. Still, an impressive and professional exhibition overall!
Sam S — Google review
This place is annual meeting point for international motorcycle business. Great organisation and magnificent exhibition of the industry.
Ali K — Google review
Very well organised. I am at the “Host” F&B exhibition and everything is smooth. They only had an issue with the app during the first day, but we managed to find a work around for that. Over all, the exhibition is very diversified. I will give one star to Toraldo for the burgers. They are good in pasta and pizza but they should stay away from other type of cusine

Cascina Triulza, situated within the Expo Milano 2015 site in Rho, Italy, is a captivating historic farmhouse that has been repurposed into a modern and innovative district of Milan. This unique location offers visitors an immersive experience with its blend of tradition and modernity. It serves as a venue for various events, social initiatives, and conferences. The area is evolving into a hub for innovation and culture, filling a previously missing niche in Milan and its surroundings.

(Translated by Google) It is very fascinating to see how the former expo area is evolving, which will be a new innovative district of Milan. I like walking in this area which looks like a modern farmhouse. A place where they hold events, social initiatives and conventions. Thinking about the past, these areas of innovation, culture and meeting between people were missing in Milan and its hinterland. They are new concepts of life that citizens like. Large spaces that combine modern with tradition. A traditional farmhouse but at the same time looking to the future. At the end of the expo I was hoping for an intelligent reuse of this huge area. It makes me very calm and tranquil to walk around this living space. Milan is growing more and more, expanding and renewing itself! The Milan of the Future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Il Regno della Pizza is a charming little pizzeria that captures the essence of warmth and hospitality. During my recent culinary adventure, I stumbled upon Ristorante Il Conte, nestled in the charming Via Giacomo Leopardi, 8 in Pregnana Milanese. This delightful eatery boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The restaurant's stunning seventeenth-century ceiling adds a touch of historical charm to your dining experience.

what a place! A huge dining room full of lovely fresh paintings on the wall. Very friendly staff and a big place for any events. About food I choose a combo menù, it means 15€ Appetizer + Main Course or you can do Main course + second plate or for 20€ if I'm not wrong all of 3. Or if you want "menú a la cart" you choose whatever you want and pay it. So as appetizer I took the New England clam chowder and I was impressed it looked like that one in Boston, very good. As main course "Spaghetti with clams" wasn't the best, small portion and not really a good taste. I was with some friends so someone was okay with his food and someone else not really. Apparently if you choose from the "menú a la cart" there is something better than the combo menù. so guys is up to u

(Translated by Google) I happened upon IL CONTE in Rho by chance on my own for a business trip. The welcome was warm and familiar right from the start. The restaurant has the original seventeenth-century roof that helps create a unique atmosphere. I had a mixed fry, an excellent dish with dry and tasty fried food that I enjoyed with a GRECO DI TUFO recommended by the owner. A good choice, I must say. I finished with a house tiramisu with an excellent balance of the sweetness of the mascarpone with the bitterness of the coffee and cocoa. It deserves 5 stars for all of the above but also for the CORAVIN, unknown to many but well-known and definitely appreciated by the most attentive and wine lovers like myself. In my opinion, nowadays it is an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to serve wine by the glass without it oxidizing if it were to last more than 24 hours. It also allows you to have several open bottles so as to offer a wide range of choices for the diner who cannot or does not want to take a whole bottle. Well done. Congratulations indeed. Bravi. Davvero complimenti.

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Church of Saint Victor Martyr, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Chiesa della Madonna Immacolata e dei SS. Francesco e Antonio. It is accessed primarily from the square of the same name, and its distance from traffic ensures optimal silence inside the church, which is essential for the celebration of Masses and various rites, and for the faithful's prayers outside of services. The church is medium-sized and features a unique feature I had never encountered in a place of worship before: a large statue of Jesus crucified in the center of the nave, roughly halfway between the main entrance and the presbytery. La chiesa è di medie dimensioni, e presenta una particolarità che finora non avevo trovato in un luogo di culto: una grande statua di Gesù crocifisso al centro della navata, ossia all'incirca a metà strada tra l'ingresso principale e il presbiterio.

Nestled in the heart of Lucernate, the Chiesa della Madonna Immacolata e dei SS. Francesco e Antonio is a striking modern church that offers a spacious and serene atmosphere for worshippers and visitors alike. While it features only a few paintings, its architectural design is commendable, attributed to the parish priest who has made significant contributions to the community. The church's impressive facade and bell tower, adorned with five bells, reflect its historical roots dating back to the 17th century.

Nestled in a charming corner of Milan, Ristorante Pizzeria Visconti is a delightful culinary haven that you simply must explore. The menu features mouthwatering dishes, including freshly baked focaccia drizzled with olive oil—an uncomplicated yet exquisite treat!

Had never been in this part of Milan before and a friend invited me to dinner. Restaurant is nicely decorated with discreet colors , a huge wall of wines and a cool Vespa decoration on the wall . Food was excellent! Focaccia bread baked from the oven with olive oil on top was delicious . So simple yet so good ! Wine selection is very good and typical long list as is traditional in many Milan restaurants. We chose a white wine from the Piemonte region that was delicate yet perfect accompaniment to the dishes that came with it . Starters was artichokes with shrimp and topped with slices of parmigiana. Very nice combination of flavors . Next starter was grilled octopus ( perfectly cooked ) accompanied by greens with soft cheese . Amazing plate and great starters . Main entree a seafood saffron risotto with baby squid , clams and octopus . Delicious and properly prepared. Together with the wine was the perfect combination. Desert tray was a beautiful color palate of various special sweets. Very traditional presentation . We were offered finally a selection of digestive options including the classic limoncello, amaro and myrtilo . Restaurant was very busy and the Service was okay , the staff did a decent job . Overall a memorable evening with excellent food . Will try to come back next time I am in this part of Milan .

This was a gem of a find . Firstly if you're looking for late night food on a Sunday night ...this place is open til 12 am . Secondly , the quality of the food is amazing ,it's so fresh and authentic, the service is impeccable and the ambience is peaceful rather than pretentious places you'd pay an arm and a leg for in Milano berera. And that leads me to the price , the plates of pasta you are seeing were no more than 12 euros each which is very very reasonable for what it is and the portion on it ! We also had two salade Di mare which unfortunately we were too hungry to allow for me to take pics but it was beautiful . Over all we were 3 people and also had dessert and the bill was 68 euros ( compared to 150 in berera) Definitely a lovely place to eat ,highly recommended.

Buongusto is a gem of a restaurant off the beaten track. We came to Milan for a trade show, so we were staying in a hotel next to the convention center, a number of miles outside of Milan. Not wanting to eat hotel food for yet another day, we found Trattoria Buongusto and were encouraged by it's description as home-style cooking. Now that's one home I wish I'd grown up in!
