Good enough to do some quick shopping, if you're willing to stand in line for a long time. They have almost everything, since it is a couple of shops clustered together. I only go there when needed.

🌳 A nice and cozy park where lots of locals come to stroll and spend time with their loved ones. It has a calm, peaceful vibe and is also pet-friendly! There aren’t many benches around, but on sunny days, the park comes alive with people enjoying the weather. A lovely spot to relax and take a quiet break.

Pleasant place and close to Venlo. There are several elements which are beautifully combined together that make the park look lively and picturesque. In the center you will find a pond with a small bridge which goes over it.

I've been here several times. It's a pleasant place and close to Venlo city center. There are several lovely trees and they make the park look lively and picturesque. The houses surrounding the park are also spectacular. I would guess they are quite old, some perhaps are restored and renovated very well. There is a pond in the center with a small bridge over it. It's a nice place for a picnic on a beautiful day, with the blooming trees.

Specialty Museums
The Limburgs Museum in Venlo offers a journey through the natural and cultural history of the province of Limburg. The museum features themed rooms and multimedia exhibits that showcase the complete history, culture, and traditions of the region through a diverse collection of objects and exhibitions. Visitors can explore exhibits ranging from prehistoric times to post-Roman eras, as well as enjoy interactive displays on music, sound, and global differences.
Really impressive modern building with displays on everything you would want to know about Limburg from the Neanderthals and Romans to the modern day. I particularly liked the 360 degree Historica exhibition
Peter B — Google review
What a pleasant museum this is, with it's from neanderthal to post Roman exhibition. Also we enjoyed the music exhibition on sound, and music, and how it makes us feel, how it's been available, and the global differences, and an opportunity to make a rock video although I think this is meant for the kids not 6'4" adult males. 😁 There was also a small exhibition on Louis 14th and his relationship to the area. The architecture is interesting, and a good view of the Juliana park. There is a cafe available for a light snack and drinks if you require this during your visit. Although it is recommended that tickets are purchased online for a visit slot, we were fortunate it was quiet at the time of our visit, which we broke up with a visit to the cafe.
Guy T — Google review
A very nice and interactive museum. They have „places“ for children on every floor so you have a good chance that even children under 4 stand the whole museum. You get a free drink per person in the cafe ( it has very fair prices compared to other museums)
Theo S — Google review
Next to the ticket office said i don't speak Dutch and promptly spoke English to me explaining all the exhibition spaces My congratulations to the entire organization of the museum because it is very interactive, simple and organized Very interesting space to take children to visit, because there are areas for them to play.

If you would like to see the history of Limburg then you are at the right place. I enjoyed the time I spent there by going through all the historical artefacts ordered by time.

#32Venlo great location right across the road from the train station. Small shop and a nice cafe on ground floor. It was completely empty when I went to visit, even the cafe on a Saturday afternoon. Being so quite the prehistory display on level 1 was a bit eery! Second level had a lot of Christian art, very well laid out and displayed. Last floor had a lot about the provience of Limburg with lots of activities for kids. #railthetrails

Bistro de Luif is located in the heart of Venlo, on the ground floor of the De Maaspoort theater. It welcomes everyone, whether you're attending a show or not. The bistro prides itself on using fresh local ingredients to create their dishes. The beautifully decorated terrace offers a charming view of the square and is perfect for enjoying recommended beers and delicious mushroom soup.

Brewery
Foodhall MOUT Venlo is a culinary adventure that began two years ago when George Kroon, Teus Kroon, and Jerry de Vries transformed the former Museum Van Bommel Van Dam into a magnificent building housing various dining options. The food court offers a wide array of dishes from different cuisines, including chicken burritos, sweet potato fries with truffle sauce, vegan nachos, and dumplings.
We stopped in Venlo for lunch and found this place as there were not too many other options. I was positively surprised by the location. I liked the atmosphere and that there is a craft beer brewery in the building. The food we had was good and satisfying along the flat white. We were served by several waitresses but they were all quick and friendly. I would go back if I was in town again.
Jozsef K — Google review
The place was cool. However the drinks took too much to come and we were already finishing food when it came. Food was good but we didn’t like the calamaris which were either dry or gummy so they were not edible unfortunately :(
Clara C — Google review
Have been coming here for some years now, I like the options and the food quality is good. Burgers and steak sandwiches are recommended. The Mexican plate is nice too, only thing I didn't like about it so much were the chicken wings which need to be crispier and more seasoned. All in all is this place one of my favorites in Venlo.
Reza A — Google review
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Venlo! There are lots of different restaurants offering a variety of dishes from around the world. Everything looks appealing and tastes great. The interior is beautifully decorated — very cozy and welcoming. You can easily order right from your table using an app, and the food is brought to you. Highly recommended, also great for a quick snack in between.
Mystery T — Google review
Amazing food court. We would like to come back again. Big choice of cafes and dishes. Nice and friendly service. Also the prices are really good. So we were positive impressed. Good job 👏🏻
Anna G — Google review
Amazing place to study and relax! There is a very nice ambience and a fire place! The food is alright, depending from which section you order. But overall the drinks are good and the prices are decent
Dima C — Google review
Waited like 1.5 hrs for the food, just ordered a burrito, the potion is sooooo small for 12,50€ this is actually really crazy. Wouldn’t recommend for the Mexican food but the fries are alright.
IceePaiin — Google review
Positives: great location in the park. Lots of seating, interior is beautifully done with a nice industrial look and lots of lamps and lights for a great atmosphere. Foodhall idea is nice, with a menu with different kitchens with smaller dishes - there's something to everyone's liking and also multiple choices for vegetarians and vegans. Freshly brewed beer with the large brewing tanks on display in the restaurant, and a few tables on which you have your own tap, which is cool. I think this is might be a really good spot to work from. Negatives: the quality of food greatly differs from kitchen to kitchen. Some dishes are really good, for others price/quality is subpar. About five of the items we ordered weren't in stock anymore - one being a drink, and it not being busy at all, so inventory doesn't seem to be managed well. And then there's the staff. 90% of the staff is very young and extremely inexperienced. They seem not to have been trained for restaurant work at all. For example, one person came to tell us one of our items wasn't on stock anymore and then just stood there, not offering a solution or anything else. When we said that we wanted to replace it with another order, he replied: "I can't take orders." We then had to ask him if maybe he could tell this change in order to anyone who could take it and he mumbled okay before hurrying off. Food and drinks take a long time to arrive. Really treat your visit as going to a foodhall, not as a restaurant, even though there are many waiters in MOUT and you don't order at restaurants themselves - that might make it more pleasant.

Restaurant Chez l'Hêtre is a wonderful establishment that offers a delightful surprise menu. Their four dishes are all delicious and offer a wide variety of flavors. They expertly combine vegetables, fish, meat, and even provide a delectable dessert that is both light and flavorful. The meat is cooked to perfection and served with a delicious sauce. The portion sizes are just right, ensuring satisfaction without overwhelming the diner.
Chez l’hêtre is a place with a the most delicious food, the flavors of the dishes combine together giving incredible final result! The chef and all the staff is on the higher level, the serving is great. The care from the waiters is amazing, they pay much attention to advising and serving and that combines perfectly with the level of the served food. Can’t wait to visit again! Big recommendation!

Super nice experience. Very nice welcome, atmosphere and service. And what’s the most important, delicious food, nicely presented. Worth visiting!
Mila K — Google review
The location is beautiful and the food is delicious. However, I do not appreciate that we had to wait 40min in the lounge area before we were seated at our table. Even though I had a reservation. Also, the time between the courses took too long. I can not imagine how much time people spent there when taking all 7 courses. We left after 3 and we will probably not visit again. Last but not least, all the waiters are very young and awkward.
Andy L — Google review
Great surprise menu (also veggie) with matching wines
Ronald W — Google review
An excellent place. We decided to take a surprise menu and all 4 dishes were tasty and very versatile. Combination of vegetables, fish, meet and a very light and tasty desert. The meet was done to perfection with a very nice sauce. Dishes are in the exact right portion. The only remark is they added couscous to the fish. This is NOT. It is a pasta. Couscous is a different thing. Service was very good.
חן א — Google review
The dishes were generally excellent with the exceptional experimental miss . Service depended on the waiter . The young lady was very friendly but the two young gentlemen were oldfashionedly haughty . However our evening ended very unpleasantly because of some guests. A drunken group took their coffee next to us and they were incredibly loud. I guess they were asked to move there because they were annoying the neighbouring tables in the restaurant's central area but it spoiled the experience for us ( we were sitting in a nook of the restaurant). I would also recommend they hang their lamps higher, as tall people will otherwise find them looking at the hood of the lamp instead of their dinner partner
J D — Google review
The place looked very promising for a nice night out. The food is really good and the waiters polite. Unfortunately we had to leave after the 1st course, the waiting time was way too long. We arrived at 7:30pm and at 8:45pm we were only served with the first meal of the menu, at this speed we would finish at midnight. As we were here for travelling this was not possible.

My favorite spot in Venlo since almost 10 years. You can sit on the outside or on the inside. Inside there are two floors with an neat, clean and comfortable ambiente. At weekends and holidays it's often overcrowded - but it has still an relaxing atmosphere with nice service. The menu is quiet big. I like to eat breakfast here - always a fresh & delicious breakfast with a nice and pretty fast service. Especially the fresh pressed orangejuice is so good! Yummy.
