Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a renowned 19th-century glass-covered arcade in Milan, Italy. It's situated at the heart of the city, connecting Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Scala. The gallery is a major attraction for tourists due to its proximity to significant landmarks like the Cathedral (Duomo) and the opera theatre.
Stepping in from Piazza del Duomo, the first thing that hit me was the light — filtered through the tall glass-and-iron roof so it cascades down onto the marble mosaics, giving everything a kind of golden glow. The architecture is elegant but not cold: there’s warmth in the arches, the frescoed ceilings, the decorative details everywhere. The shops are gorgeous — luxury brands, historic cafés, artful windows. It feels like fashion and heritage meeting. But yes, very

Awesome building and great atmosphere grand arches make it a must see landmark. It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll, luxury shopping, or enjoying a coffee while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. A truly iconic Milanese experience.
Shaik V — Google review
A stunning masterpiece of Italian architecture and style. The soaring glass dome, marble floors, and ornate ironwork make the Galleria one of the most elegant spaces in Europe. Standing at the center, beneath the famous mosaic of the bull, is a little ritual — spin your heel for good luck — and it’s fun to watch visitors from all over the world take part. Even if you’re not shopping, the beauty of the place makes it worth visiting. The light through the dome, the hum of conversation from the cafés, and the view toward the Duomo capture everything you imagine Milan to be — sophisticated, timeless, and full of life.
David S — Google review
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is one of those places that makes you stop and stare even if you were just walking by. The second you step inside, you feel like you have entered a different world. The glass roof, the iron structure, and the floor covered with mosaics all hit you at once. It is elegant without trying too hard, classic but still alive. Every angle looks like it was made to be photographed, and somehow it never feels fake or staged. You can hear the sound of footsteps echoing through the hall, mixed with the low buzz of people talking, laughing, and shopping. Luxury stores line both sides, but even if you are not there to spend money, just walking through is worth it. The smell of coffee from the cafes mixes with the city air, and for a moment everything feels balanced between chaos and calm. If you look up, the glass dome above makes the light fall in a way that changes through the day, from soft in the morning to golden near sunset. It gives the whole place a quiet glow. You start to realize it is not just a shopping gallery, it is a piece of Milan’s identity. Old, proud, stylish, and built to last. It is one of those spots that remind you why Milan feels different from every other city.
Efe P — Google review
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is not just a shopping mall it’s truly a masterpiece of architecture and Italian elegance. Located right next to the famous Duomo, this historic gallery feels like stepping back in time to the golden age of Milan. The stunning glass dome, the detailed mosaic floors, and the grand arches make it one of the most beautiful and photogenic places I’ve ever visited. The moment you walk in, you can feel the luxury and history surrounding you. Every corner is picture-perfect, and even if you’re not into shopping, it’s still worth visiting just to admire the design and atmosphere. The galleries are lined with high-end fashion brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci a paradise for luxury shoppers. Even the window displays are pieces of art. We also stopped for a coffee at one of the cafes inside, and it was a lovely experience sitting under the glass roof watching people pass by. Prices are a bit high (as expected in such a prestigious location), but the experience is totally worth it. You can also find restaurants offering delicious Italian cuisine perfect for a relaxing lunch after exploring the Duomo area. One tip: visit early morning or late evening to avoid the big crowds and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the gallery. At night, when the lights glow softly through the glass ceiling, it feels truly magical. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a must-see in Milan a symbol of Italian craftsmanship, style, and timeless beauty.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan is a stunning 19th-century shopping arcade, named after Italy’s first king and designed by Giuseppe Mengoni. Opened in 1877, it’s Italy’s oldest active mall and a masterpiece of iron-and-glass architecture. Visiting with my family was a joy—we captured countless photos and videos of its elegant mosaics, soaring dome, and vibrant atmosphere. The Galleria connects Piazza del Duomo to Teatro alla Scala and hosts luxury brands like Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Rolex. It’s not just a shopping destination, but a cultural landmark where history, fashion, and architecture blend into an unforgettable Milanese experience.
Dr. H — Google review
Major landmark of Milan. It has been Italy's oldest shopping arcade. It is in the form of a four-story double arcade. It houses some of the oldest shops of Italy and of course very popular modern ones as well. Since it is an excellent shopping arcade there is always a big crowd around. The vast open square in front is quite good for resting and photos.
Dr G — Google review
It’s much smaller than I expected from the photos and what I imagined before coming — located right next to the Duomo. It’s one of Milan’s notable landmarks, but honestly, I didn’t find it that impressive. Still, it’s something you end up visiting since you’re already in Milan. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t really meet my expectations and was less impressive than I hoped.

Teatro alla Scala, also known as La Scala, is an opulent 18th-century theater renowned for its Italian opera and ballet performances. The theater features a museum showcasing its rich history through exhibitions of costumes, musical instruments, photographs, and set designs. Additionally, the Livia Simoni Library houses an extensive collection of 150,000 volumes of librettos, scores, and periodicals.
A must-visit when in Milan, but plan ahead. We went during the August shut-down, so there wasn’t much to see apart from the tour. Still, the tour was interesting and included a visit to the theatre boxes, plus entry to the attached museum. Definitely book tours in advance, and if you can, time your visit outside of August so you get the full experience of seeing an opera.

What an exceptional experience. Once in a life time for me! as an Asian person, it was great to attend opera. Reminder to be aware of dress code as Italian dress really proper for opera!!! Good thing is there’s subtitle in English for the opera . Staff is helpful. Nice bar during the break too, good champagne.

A beautiful place, full of charm and history. The architecture, colors, and overall atmosphere are stunning, it truly feels like a grand theatre. The stage is massive, and the chandelier is absolutely gorgeous. The foyer is spacious and elegant, with mirrors that add to its classic feel. The museum is also worth exploring, filled with fascinating objects and paintings. Definitely a must-visit in Milan.
Dragos M — Google review
Went to see the ballet productions Études, Petite Mort, Boléro with the Ballet Company of the Teatro alla Scala and the Orchestra of the Academy of La Scala Theatre and it was epic. The orchestra and conductors were brilliant but the dancers were the stars especially the Boléro, she was amazing and the piece was spectacular. No idea how she spend 20+ mins like that but I'd watch it again any day. Only problem is for a 6 foot plus person the seats in the balcony are real tight, almost makes Ryan Air look a little comfy. Was fanatic to see so many kids at the ballet, smiling, laughing and enjoying it. We need more of this in Ireland
Joe M — Google review
The museum is very interesting. The building is beautiful and there is a lot to see. It is really nice that you have the chance to look into the stage and watch a current rehearsal. The ticket is 12 euro and the visit is totally worth it. We visited on a Tuesday morning and there were very few visitors so it was quite.
Kristina — Google review
Remember to book in good time in advance as the tickets sell out fast! This legend is one of the top opera houses in the world. The foyer space is quite small compared to the big number of seats and it gets really crowded in the intermission. The bar is cramped so go to line first for a separate ticket to get the drinks, only then to the service area so you get your purchase. We saw Verdi’s Rigoletto. The expectations were very high so we were a bit disappointed. The tenor had gotten sick and the replacing singer was not at the same level with other soloists that were stunning. We found the regie, set and clothing a bit outdated, even if the turning set worked well. The lighting was off and I guess with better lighting design the opera would have looked much better. Overall we were pleased with the evening.
Ville H — Google review
Even just from the outside, La Scala is elegant and timeless. The neoclassical façade is beautifully preserved and radiates quiet grandeur. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel Milan’s connection to art and culture — worth a short stop even if you don’t go inside.
David S — Google review
The ticket for youth is 8e which is more expensive then other museums but still affordable. The theatre is very beautiful and you can see it well from the balcony. The musem is nice.

Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio is a Romanesque church in Milan, Italy, known for its elegant courtyard and the crypt where the remains of St. Ambrose are displayed. Founded by St. Ambrose in 379 CE, it is considered one of the most ancient churches in Italy and a historically significant medieval building in Lombardy.
A truly breathtaking place — the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio is a must-visit in Milan for history and architecture lovers. The atmosphere is peaceful and humbling, and the mosaics and frescoes are absolutely stunning. Every corner of this place tells a story, and you can really feel the layers of history all around you. There was no wait to enter, and the experience was calm and unhurried, which made it even more special. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates sacred art, Romanesque architecture, and places with deep spiritual and historical roots.
Kseniia F — Google review
This is one of the most popular churches in Milan (after the Duomo and Santa Maria della Grazie), and for a good reason, as it is one of the oldest and beautiful churches in the city, also consecrated to its most beloved saint. The architecture we see is mostly of 11-12th centuries (or earlier) with minimal alterations. The most beautiful part of the church is the Oratory of San Vittore in Ciel d'Oro, with amazing 5th century mosaics and small adjasent museum (requires a small fee to enter). There is also 13th century mosaic in apse (although heavily restored), intricately carved Romanesque pulpit, and many other artistic miracles inside.

Magnificent. Most tourists come to Milan for the Last Supper. Please take some time to witness the simplicity of this Basilica. Peaceful, reflective, restorative.
Susan H — Google review
The Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio is one of the most important historical sites in Milan and absolutely worth a visit. Built in the 4th century, it is one of the oldest churches in Italy and one of the first established in Milan when Christianity was newly spreading through the Roman Empire. You feel that history immediately when you walk into the courtyard and see the early Christian architecture that has survived for more than 1,600 years. The interior is solemn and beautifully preserved, with a mix of Romanesque and early Christian elements that give the basilica a very distinct character. The golden altar, the crypt of Saint Ambrose, and the mosaics are all highlights. Despite its importance, the basilica remains calm and not overly crowded, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. It is an essential stop for understanding Milan’s early history and the foundations of Christianity in the region.
Varto B — Google review
It is located near the metro station and well preserved. The mosaic behind the ciborium is splendid. Paintings are fabulous.
Percy C — Google review
One of the most important medieval churches in northern Italy, the basilica was originally founded between 379 and 386 by Sant’Ambrogio (Saint Ambrose) as the Basilica Martyrum, dedicated to early Christian martyrs. The current Romanesque structure was built between 1088 and 1099, with further additions including the left bell tower and later architectural enhancements. The basilica suffered damage during the 1943 bombings, particularly to its mosaics and ceiling, and was carefully restored in the 1950s. The complex features a beautiful quadriportico, the Monks’ Tower (9th century, left side), and the Singers’ Tower (12th century, right side). Near the entrance stands the Devil’s Column, a Roman column marked with two holes — said by legend to be the imprint of the devil’s horns after a failed attempt to tempt Saint Ambrose. Each December, the basilica hosts the traditional Oh Bej! Oh Bej! Christmas market, held for centuries during the feast of Saint Ambrose.

Adjacent to Piazza Gae Aulenti, Corso Como transforms into the center of nightlife with discos and cocktail bars.
I think it's a street worth seeing. Actually, it's a very lively street that you can use for many places you'll visit. At the end of the street, there are street vendors selling second-hand and similar products, there's a nice atmosphere. We also had a hard time finding a market. At the end of the street, in a new high-rise building, there's a really big market. When I say the end of the street, I mean the side where the photo I added is located.

Located in the heart of Trento, Italy, the Tridentine Diocesan Museum is housed within the Palazzo Pretorio, adjacent to the Cathedral of San Vigilio. This museum showcases a diverse collection that illustrates the evolution of local artistic styles and techniques from the 11th to 19th centuries. Visitors can admire rare wood carvings, sculptures, silver and gold embroidered vestments, illuminated manuscripts, and Flemish tapestries from the 16th century.
A must see in Trento, for free if you have a Trento card. It is located in the Palace of the Prince, with subtitles in English. Sometimes it is difficult to find the route and you end up in a storage and shouting guards are chasing you out but it is worth it. It has 3 levels with fantastic art pieces. The museum shop is poor.

A must if you want to learn about the council of Trento: that by itself is a reason to visit... but that's just one floor of the museum and the rest of the collection of religious art is definitely worth the visit as well. So if you are in Trento, make some time for this!

This is the third museum I visited during my stay in Trento. I didn't know it existed until I found out that it is located next to Duomo di Trento. It is quite small compared to other museums (MUSE and Buonconsiglio), but the art and other collections are pretty interesting. It has three floors, I suggest to start observing from the highest one. I spent an hour to explore all the rooms, even though I wish some of the restricted areas can be accessed because that would be very cool. Overall its quite recommended!

Pizza Takeout
Spontini is a must-visit for thick-crust pizza lovers in Milan. Their slices are known for their soft, greasy, and crunchy base, offering a different experience from Neapolitan or Roman styles. The triangular slices come in normal or large sizes with classic toppings like margherita, diavola, cooked ham, mushrooms, anchovies and capers. You can even add double mozzarella to your portion.
Very tasty. A more American-Italian hybrid take on pizza. Especially if you are familiar with pan pizza from many American pizza chains. It would make it better if they added a little more cheese after the toppings and/or toasted it after the toppings so it isn't just a cheese pizza with some cold toppings thrown on after. But overall, it was a good experience.

Top Italian Street Food Pizza! Every time you visit Milan, make sure to stop by Spontini for lunch or dinner — it’s a must. - The Doppia Pizza is simply one of the best pizzas you’ll ever have. - The Primavera Pizza is absolutely delicious. - The Funghi Pizza is a must-try. - The Lasagna is incredibly tasty and satisfying. Staff at the counter are friendly and the cashier speaks Italian, English, and Arabic. Service is super fast. There’s no formal dining area, just high tables with stools where you can enjoy your meal while standing.

Spontini has amazing pizza in Milano..! The taste is rich, cheesy, and really satisfying definitely worth trying if you’re in Milan. The only downside is the long lines, especially during busy hours. It can take a while to get your food. Also, the seating area is quite limited, so it might be hard to find a spot to sit and enjoy your pizza. Still, if you don’t mind waiting or grabbing your food to go, it’s a great place for a quick and tasty bite (:

Spontini is always a great idea whenever you are in the bustling city of milano. The quality of their pizzas never change and the indulgent delicious taste never fails, so make sure you grap a bite whenever you are around the city with many branches dotted around the city center ... we were passing by and we ended up having it for dinner and it made the rest our night delightful. I always have their anchovies, which is out of this world, with a crispy bottom and a rich cheesy core this pizza is just unbeatable for the lovers of deep dish pizza.

I loved the crust and the flavorful toppings of the pizza so much that I decided to try both the anchovy and the Margherita varieties. The anchovy pizza had perfectly salted, tender fish, while the Margherita was especially memorable with its fresh basil, ripe tomatoes, and melted mozzarella. The Margherita pizza was exceptional—highly recommend!

Authentic Italian pizza with great prices, but expect a wait Pizza e Mozzarella offers delicious, authentic Italian pizza at very affordable prices. The place is very popular and always crowded — without a reservation, it’s almost impossible to get a table. Even though we had a reservation, we still waited in line for about 40 minutes. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which is understandable given how busy the place was. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth trying if you’re in Milan, but be prepared for the wait. I’d give it a solid 4/5.
Ali R — Google review
Good pizza but at what cost… it is insanely busy during the evening and the staff is extremely distracted and not attentive. What bothered us the most, is that we asked THREE different waitresses to bring us water, yet no one did for at least 20 minutes… then we had to tell to one of them again. Additionally, we heard that the restaurant is not paying much to their staff, so that is why the prices are so good… don’t know if we believe that 100%, but it’s a very probable reason.

If you’re visiting Milan & like pizza put this on your list to visit! We were lucky enough to get a table on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation. I lovvvveeee this restaurant!! I still dream about their pizza. My fiancé and I came here on our first day in Milano after our flight. We didn’t have a reservation but the gentleman host was very nice and still gave us a table right away. I’m not a big pizza person because the pizza back at home is so greasy and I have to be in the mood or craving it to want it but after I had the pizza here, I would have eaten more if I had another stomach. The prices are amazing and I also got a quart of white wine for $3euros! Even that wine was so light and crisp it went perfectly with our pizza. Also, I’m a bit lactose intolerant but felt fine with their cheese. The pizza dough was 🤌😮‍💨 so delicious and everything was just so well balanced. It was just perfect. It’s so good, we went back on our last night in Milano and even took a pizza home to eat the next morning. Even after 1 night and heating it up in the morning was glorious.

A great pizza restaurant close to navigli. Pizzas were delicious, prices were great and I really liked the atmosphere. You should make a reservation since it's very crowded on the weekends. Even if we had a reservation we waited an extra half an hour to sit which is the only downside İ can mention.

Asian fusion restaurant
Tang Gourmet Dim Sum Restaurant is a popular spot in Milan's Chinatown, located at Via Niccolini 20. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, including Fujian gua bao with its distinctive central cut, jiazoi (braised dumplings), xiaolongbao, and tangbao - larger dumplings filled with hot broth that you can sip through a straw.
Delicious food and nice location The only thing is stuff doesn’t speak english, either you should talk to Italian or Chinese, for doing my order I used google translate! Portions are big and cheap! Recommended

The food we ordered was good and it came fast but the cashier confused our order and we had to pay for something we didn't want. I saw this happening to another couple across the room. It's weird that this establishment makes you pay before you eat. We weren't offered drinks for some reason too. Be very careful with what you order.

Spicy food with average taste, since most of the products are frozen convenience products. BUT: seeing the workers in the kitchen having lit cigarettes in the mouth while working with open boxes of meat and stuff is absolutely not ok!!!! If this would be in my homecountry, i would report immediately!

I saw a very old review on Chinese social media so we bravely ignored the 3.8 stars Google review and gave them a try today, we were hugely disappointed. As mentioned by others, the food arrived very quickly, however the dumplings abd 生煎包we got were not fresh and very doughy. We couldn't finish the dough at all. Please see the pictures of the "left over dough". The soup filled dumplings were very tasty and fresh. We have been traveling in other parts of Europe (Germany and Switzerland) for over a month, we found the food price here very affordable

Absolutely terrible experience!! If you can, go to any of the thousands other restaurants next to it. For starters, they make you order at the till - fine in theory - but they hurry you and force you to make hasty decisions (if you, cashier, are in a rush, let me sit and check the menu) and if you want to order something else you have to either pay instantly to the waiter - who does not give the additional receipt - or go back to the till downstairs. The waiters are extremely rude and although you are given a table number when ordering, they sit you at random, creating confusion between them and mixing up all the orders. The food is “meh” at best and not good enough to make you gloss over the appalling customer service.

Food is tasty, vegetarian-friendly. Beef soup option is excellent! Portions are huge. At the time I was there, personal didn't speak English, menu was in Italian/Chinese which made it difficult to select the appropriate dish. No regrets on coming there, just used Google translate.

I’ve been in this place a couple of times and is one of my favorite places in ChinaTown Milano. You need to select your plates from the menu with a pen and pay them right away in the registry. The price/quality ratio is amazing since the food is very good and the price very cheap.

We always go there when craving Chinese ! The dumplings are delicious and you must try the beef udon noodles with green bell peppers. IT’S A MUST. We ordered a bao bun with fried chicken but it was not good at all 👎🏻 The chicken was from the cotolette they sell at the supermarket ; not crunchy and not tasty at all. Not recommended. Nevertheless, we ordered a new dish they have on the menu and it is the cold noodles ; they have it on the door when you first enter. It’s also very tasty. Overall, I really recommend this place , we tried many different things and we loved it ! (Except the bao buns)

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Museo Castello del Buonconsiglio. Not quite as popular as Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

History Museums
Museo Castello del Buonconsiglio is a historic castle complex in Trento, Italy, featuring a renaissance palace and an art gallery with panoramic views. The castle holds an important museum showcasing the artistic heritage of the Diocesan Museum and features the spectacular 15th-century fresco Cycle of the Months. Visitors can also explore the ruins of Tridentum, a Roman settlement beneath Piazza Lodron.
This is an incredible walk through a good portion of the castle with ancient artifacts and high-quality medieval paintings in every room. The views from the higher floors look out into the property gardens or out into the city. Truly stunning! Worth the trip to Trento.

Nice castle to visit. They have restored many items in museum style to watch. Beautiful rooms, paintings, wall and ceiling paintings. We had to wait in a long row to buy tickets. It’s probably worth it to buy your tickets online.
Omid G — Google review
So cool — I love the paintings on exhibit, the architecture, the general feeling of being in a well preserved castle. We highly recommend visiting if you are passing through!
Matt W — Google review
This Castello, which also features an attached palazzo, punches way above its weight. The museum features a rich and detailed history with many artifacts spanning the 10,000 years of civilization around the greater Trentino region. The museum also offers an interesting lesson of the incredibly complex political history of this pivotal region. The castle and later – built palazzo are far more extensive than I realized, and include an eventual climb to the top of the palazzo that commands sweeping views of Trento and its stunning valley. The beautiful gardens around the fortress are an added bonus!

A must see when in Trento! There are so many corners and hidden gems all along the castle! Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't miss the garden/courtyard in the back of the palace. At some points it felt a bit like Hogwarts :)

Pretty good. You can spend here few hours. If you have Trentino Card, you can have discounted entry ticket (for adult) 7 euros.

Nice castle with an exposition about local art from the area. There was also an exposition from a local artist from the 18th century which was quite nice and very comprehensive. The layout of the castle and the expositions is a little confusing as is the location of the entrance. At the top of the castle there is a really nice view of the whole city and the surrounding valley.

The most renowned monument in Trento. With more than a 1000 years' history, a spectacular painting cycle in the Aquila's tower and numerous events and exibits during the year, is an absolute must during your stay in Trento !

Tridentum - S.A.S.S. Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas is a hidden gem beneath the city of Trento, offering visitors a glimpse into the ancient Roman settlement of Tridentum dating back to the first century BC. For a nominal fee, visitors can explore well-preserved subterranean remains, including original street tiles and displays showcasing ancient heating systems, sewer infrastructure, and city walls.
It was an amazing experience! Everything, from the VR tour in the beginning, to the little walk on the 2000 year old road, was interesting and just great. A lot of beautiful details. 🩷 Very nice and friendly staff, who walked the extra mile. 🩷 We will remember you! Maud & Kicki

Trento is a city with nice medieval and Renaissance buildings... but is has a hidden side. Below some shops in the city center, visitors can find subterranean remains of earlier roman streets and buildings. You can walk on the original street tiles dating back more than 1.500 years. Clear displays show how houses were heated, how the sewers worked and how the city walls were built. The museum is larger than I expected. Better still, the entrance fee is only two euros. And it is a great way to cool off when the outside temperature is a bit too high.

Interesting museum. Fascinating to see the excavation beneath the city. A bit smaller than expected but as the entrance to another museum (excavation of a Roman villa with nice mosaic in Via Antonio Rosmini) is included, it is worth it

Mart - Galleria Civica di Trento, also known as MART (Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea), is a museum of modern art and architecture located in Trentino. Designed by Mario Botta, the building features spacious galleries wrapped around a central circular atrium flooded with light, creating an impressive setting for the world-class exhibitions hosted here.

This museum is nice but is managed in a way that does not exploit its full potential. The exhibition layout is quite rigid and you cannot enjoy to see what you like as the route is enforced by draconian old fashioned staff who does not allow freedom of movement between the rooms. So if you want to rewatch closer an artwork you cannot go straight there but you are forced to follow a rigid predetermined path that makes the experience quite boring. Overall there is a lack of effective descriptions which they lack of fundamental details, therefore exibitions are boring as the one curated by the pedantic Sgarbi. The temp exhibit on surrealism is depressive plenty of stuff of secondary epigones and really fails explaining the power of the truly surrealist revolution. The kids area is unattended so the museum do not offer any lab or activity for kiddos. There is a family kit but it was not offered when we purchased the ticket as the cashier was not aware of it. We found it by chance at the end of the day. The best thing you can do is visit the Casa d arte Depero. Overall the museum left a taste of mediocrity.

A modern art gallery. The exhibit was not very interesting but I'm not a great enthusiast for modern art. The de Chirico paintings were all that was interesting. The building is beautiful.

Castel Belfort is a 14th-century castle ruin with a fascinating history. Visitors should note that the path from the parking lot may not lead to the entrance, and it's recommended to follow the road instead. While currently closed, it still offers picturesque views and is a popular spot for photography. The surrounding area provides a lovely setting for exploration, with an old historic building offering beautiful vistas of nature. Additionally, there are positive mentions of a nearby restaurant and its scenic balcony.
The castle is in poor shape. However, I am a beekeeper. There is a bee operation on site and next door. It was over all an amazing time.

The Castello di Belfort is a fascinating place to visit, surrounded by beautiful nature and rich history. We really enjoyed exploring the ruins and taking in the peaceful atmosphere. (Translated by Google) Regularly oriented to the east and built in the center of the small town of Dardine, the delightful little church of San Marcello dates back in its oldest part to the 14th-15th century, but the presence of a first place of worship as early as the 13th century, not far from the current building, cannot be ruled out. Between the second half of the fifteenth century and the first half of the sixteenth century the interior, initially an undivided rectangular hall, was equipped with cross vaults and decorated with frescoes painted in two periods, the first cycle in 1482, by a South Tyrolean hand, the second in 1527, presumably by a local hand. On the outside, the façade with two steep slopes is sandwiched between two low parallelepiped corner pillars acting as buttresses and protected by a single-pitched roof supported by a pair of small wooden pillars; the stone portal with rectangular light is surmounted by a frescoed ogee lunette and flanked on the left by a rectangular window protected by railings. The right side is adorned with frescoed panels and characterized by the presence of a secondary entrance with architraves and two splayed single-lancet windows with a white and red banded frame; between one and the other the side chapel emerges, illuminated by smaller arched openings on the east and west sides and ending in a small semicircular apse on the south. The left side is seamless, given the tangency of the volumes of the bell tower, the rectangular chapel and the sacristy, featuring two low square windows with railings, one on the north side, the other on the east side. Here too the wall of the sacristy is contiguous to that of the presbytery, pierced by a last central window with a lowered arch. The sixteenth-century bell tower has a stone-smooth plastered shaft marked by staggered corner ashlars in exposed stone, four pointed single-lancet windows with double-slotted stone frames in the cell and a lozenge roof with triangular pediments, the southern one with a clock face, the other three pierced by trefoil openings. Inside, the single nave with a single span has a simple cross vault; the side walls are broken down by two unequal eighteenth-century chapels introduced by full-centre arches. The holy pointed arch resting on exposed limestone piers leads into the quadrangular presbytery, covered by a ribbed cross vault, raised by a step and dominated in the center by the historic main altar. Pre-existences The quadrangular structure of the nave and presbytery is the oldest part of the church, dating back to at least the mid-fifteenth century, while the bell tower and side chapels are later additions.

BELPARK- Parco Faunistico di Spormaggiore is a charming wildlife park that showcases various natural habitats for bears, lynx, and owls. It also boasts a farm area where goats and peacocks reside. Visitors can enjoy a pleasant stroll through the park, having the opportunity to observe several different animals such as sleeping bears, moose, bobcats, goats, peacocks, and rabbits.
Although we were there for only 30m we really enjoyed it! Beautiful forest and trail. The bears were really active, and they even chased us a little(behind the fence). I really recommend checking this out if you're in the area. It's 9€ for one person and in my opinion 1 hour is enough to enjoy this place

When we visited there weren't many visitors. Despite this, the parking spots were all occupied (a dozen, more or less), and the loudness was like being on a beach on a Sunday afternoon. Animals seem to be in a good state; they are confined in pretty small areas. Service is good.

The Palazzo Nero is an exquisite architectural masterpiece, adorned with stunning embellishments. However, the interior frescoes are in dire need of restoration. Despite this, the knowledgeable and amiable guide provided a captivating narrative of its history. The guide's thorough explanations enhanced the experience for visitors, making it an overall worthwhile visit to this iconic historical landmark.
(Translated by Google) Fire is certainly the dominant element in the centuries-old history of the Palazzo Nero, admirable in its majesty, a few meters from the center of Coredo. In fact, its name probably derives from the marks left on its walls by the fires set by peasants in revolt during the fifteenth century. Its fame, however, is sadly known throughout the Val di Non, above all due to the horrible fire, which took place in the square in front of the palace, in which, in 1614, ten people accused of witchcraft lost their lives. Built during the 15th century, at the behest of Prince Bishop George II Hack, the palace remained an important jurisdictional seat throughout the century. It is known above all for the valuable Judgment Hall, decorated with a series of Gothic style frescoes, inspired by the Arthurian and Carolingian sagas, brought to light at the beginning of the twentieth century, among which the cycle of the Story of Saint Genevieve, the Queen of France stands out falsely accused of adultery. The final triumph of the innocent queen covers the entire cycle with a moralizing tone that is well suited to the function of justice that took place in the ancient hall. The building is privately owned.

Very, very good local, reliable pizzeria. Obviously family owned and great attention to making quality pies, with quality ingredients, at (very) low prices - open late and was delicious, takeaway only basically.

(Translated by Google) Good pizza, but the same cannot be said about the rudeness of the owner and the staff in general. Ordering 2 takeaway pizzas over the phone at 12pm on a quiet weekday almost seems like a mistake. It should be added in this period that unfortunately masks and disinfectant really don't exist here: it's okay that it's time to put an end to all the restrictions, but after all at least a minimum amount of attention doesn't hurt anyone.

(Translated by Google) Embarrassing takeaway pizza, let's start from the fact that I ordered a radicchio and sausage, and I ended up with a radicchio, sausage, asparagus, aubergines and courgettes (the owner was fully aware of having made the wrong pizza but didn't care and put an already cooked pizza without sausage back in the oven with the addition of sausage for a minute then raw sausage) Dough = biscuit pizza cooking 275° not even at home can you cook this at a low temperature You'll never see me again. Pizza is my passion, you just have to change jobs!!!!!! (Translated by Google) We ate at this restaurant for a wedding and I must say that we had a great time. The location of this restaurant is beautiful, being in the middle of the mountains immersed in the nature of the Val di Non. The buffet set up outside thanks to the beautiful day made us appreciate even more the goodness of the finger food, the first courses were also good but what surprised us the most was the exquisiteness of the pork cheek which melted in the mouth. Even the helpfulness of the staff, since I asked for menu changes for my children, was great, I can only recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves visiting this splendid valley.
