Camping Domaine Le Vernis is a charming family-friendly campsite nestled in the serene surroundings of the Parc Naturel Regional du Haut-Languedoc. This delightful spot features a refreshing swimming pool complete with a children's area and several fun playgrounds, making it perfect for families. Guests can enjoy various activities throughout their stay, including music nights, communal dinners, and craft afternoons that cater to all ages.
Very nice family camping with beautiful view over the Minervois valley. Clean toilets, nice terras and (snack)bar with Dutch snacks and French food. Beautiful pool and relax area with lots of shade. There's enough for the children to play. On Tuesday's the snackbar is closed but the Coin Pizza takes care of that.

A simple camping on top of a mountain. Not too big. Perfect with little children. No luxury but just lots of nature. My almost 5 year old had a blast. The freedom he had here was so much fun.

We visited in early September and stayed longer than anticipated. Very well maintained campsite, the plants and trees around the garden and pitches are wonderful, so peaceful and relaxing. The family that run this site are lovely people. It is fairly remote but that suits us and if you don't want to eat out or cook every night Mireille runs what she calls a 'fast food service', it's much better than fast food, 3 or 4 evenings a week (I forget), salad and veg from their own garden! We will be returning.

Unplanned stop on this site. Hidden away in the middle of nowhere really but lovely and relaxing. Brilliant swimming pool and lovely facilities. Owners allowed us to use fridge to freeze ice packs. Great atmosphere on the day France luckily won the World Cup!! We paid 4 Euros more for a larger pitch. Overall recommended.

Domaine Le Vernis had been closed for a number of years and was bought over in 2012 by the Le Page family from Brittany. After an enormous amount of work and expense, they opened on the 1st of July and we were privilaged to be one of their first Guests. Well equipped with a Swimming Pool, Shop, Cafe, newly build & refurbished toilet/shower blocks and washing facilities, this gem of a site is situated in a beautiful part of France with the GR77, (Hiking route that connects historical Minerve with the Canal Du Midi), passing through the Campsite, and Vineyards, Caves, Restaurants and Shopping all within walking distance. Larger towns like Olonzac, Rieux Minervois, Carcassonne and Narbonne are a short drive away. Well worth a visit.

They made a garage available opposite their cellar to receive us, and had provided cheese plates. We were received like kings with quality wines offered and explanations for each of the wines. Considering the number of boxes purchased by the group, the wine is really great, for a very reasonable price. They even delivered the boxes directly to the estate where we were staying (20 minutes' drive) to save us having to carry them to the car park! Didier and Martine pass on their passion and they are exceptionally kind! The little extra, they are located in the center of Minerve, which allows those who do not drink wine to visit the city while waiting. We love our crêpes! The chèvre miel one is delicious, crispy outside and tender inside. They are open all day, but very very busy with lots of customers, we choose to take away and we enjoyed our crêpes on a bench nearby

We ordered 2 crepes with ham and egg. We got one with ham and Emmentaler cheese and one with ham only. I complained on the one with ham only. After a native french speaking person, who overheard my ordering, she took it back and put an almost raw egg on it. On my complaint she re-cooked the same crepe a third time. The crepe was completely dry, leather like and burned. Avoid this place!

Nestled at the confluence of the Cesse and Brian rivers, Aux 2 rivières is a charming restaurant located in the southern village of Minerve. The restaurant is situated within the village's ramparts, providing a beautiful setting for diners to enjoy their meals on the terrace.
Thank you so much! This is our new discovery in Minervois. About me probably the best resto in the close around 20km in this area. Super friendly and professional staff, top author food, menu offers, very good wine list (only local producers). Great and memorable view. We wii turn back always, when we will be here. 2 handed recommendation!

We had the most wonderful lunch today at the restaurant Aux 2 Rivières, located in the stunning village of Minerve. The restaurant is perched at the tip of a rocky spur, offering a breathtaking view overlooking the confluence of the Cesse and Brian rivers and the Malvoisine. • It was the perfect Easter lunch. We sat on the most beautiful patio, soaking in the incredible scenery while enjoying the most colorful, delicious dishes. • One of the standout moments of the meal was an appetizer that completely took us by surprise. A roulé of carrots, deglazed with Grand Marnier, served with a silky cashew cream and a drizzle of pomegranate molasses, accompanied by fresh cheese from Vieulac flavored with ginger, lemon, and thyme. Who knew that something as humble as a carrot could be elevated to such elegance and depth of flavor? It was vibrant, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. Each bite was like a little revelation. • We fully embraced the slow, joyful pace of southern French living with a leisurely three-hour meal marked by fresh, vibrant cuisine, unexpected yet delightful flavor combinations, and warm, attentive service. • Glasses of wine came and went, conversation flowed, and we ended the meal with a digestif in true local fashion. It was one of those rare experiences that feels both indulgent and grounding, a beautiful memory in the making. • MERCI!

Had lunch here with a group of six people and we were not let down at all. We had four Menu Lo Roc and two ordered from the regular menu, all of the dishes served were exquisite and delicious. The service was fast and very professional, even accommodating for our nut and peanut allergies. The view from the outdoor seating area is absolutely breathtaking and if you can get a table near the view I would recommend taking it. The prices aren’t exactly cheap but quality of the food and beautiful scenery and views makes it worth it. If you are in Minerve and looking for a delicious meal and great view, Aux 2 Rivières is your best option.

Last visited 2 years ago an, if anything, it has improved further. This is an exceptional location with wonderful food, lovely service and an experience to remember. On a dry day, a meal on the terrace is an event to enjoy and make a detour for. Both the quality of food and presentation are exemplary. The hosts are very tolerant and helpful to English speakers who are not confident with the French language. I will visit every time i return to this part of France.

We were planning our visit and inquired as to vegetarian options for a friend. They were very quick to respond in the positive so we made a reservation. We arrived just as they opened and were seated on the terrace with a wonderful view. The food was perfect and the accompanying wines were very good. We will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and plan to return, with a reservation, when we are showing off this region to our visitors.

Relais Chantovent is located in the ancient fortified village of Minerve, known for its picturesque site and rich history. Situated on a rocky promontory above the confluence of the Briant and Cesse rivers, it boasts natural bridges over the gorges. The rustic charm and authenticity of this establishment are captivating, with Chef Jean-Marc Boyer emphasizing seasonal ingredients and a blend of tradition and innovation in his cuisine.
Lunch for 5 on the terrace June 8. One of us had dietary needs. The staff were wonderful, the food was superb and beautifully presented, the view spectacular. Every year we return to France we book this restaurant. This visit was an absolute delight. Each of us ordered different meals and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

The restaurant is stunningly good, a faultless food experience. They get everything just right including small things such as the bread. I particularly loved the 20 hour pork. You get a genuine warm welcome, perfect service and reasonable prices all in one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France.

This place was stunning. You leave your car in the big car park and walk down the hairpin bend towards A tiny medieval village built into the craggy rocks above a breathtaking gorge. A lovely terrace on the edge overlooking the gorge with eagles circling on the other side, falcons, swallows, house-martins…. The wine was delicious and so affordable compared to uk prices (€26 for a beautiful Viognier. The food was fantastic and we thought it was going to be too much (the €49 menu but it was perfect with a little taster ‘mise-en-Bouche’ of fresh asparagus purée and mini vegetable flan type thing in a spoon, a goats cheese olive bready chive starter, a mouth-watering 24 hour cooked pig dish followed by a caramelly apple verbena mint sorbet dessert. The waitress was lovely and Nicolas who runs it/and chefs it was super lovely. This place is top marks!!!

Visited during low season (March) and arrived late at night by car. The manager was very kind and even parked our car for us as it was a little difficult. Such a warm welcome! The restaurant was superb too. Rooms are simple but the water pressure is surprisingly strong. Didn't expect such a high-quality breakfast too, with home-made bread that they refilled! Thank you for the great stay.

This is a truly rare find. We have been dining here now on and off probably for more than ten years and yet the food and service remains absolutely impeccable. The restaurant has one of the most profoundly beautiful locations it is possible to find. Breathtaking and we have never been disappointed and long to come back yet again, which must be real proof of the quality of this restaurant. A really great selection of local wines and the food, Oh La La! Next time the 8 course tester menu! Absolutely superb.

Evening is from 29th. =>regional products and homemade cuisine! Special mention for the raspberry tart because they also make the dough and you can see it straight away!!!! Nothing to say, a superb restaurant where you are sure to eat well thanks to cuisine made with love with very correct portions! Small aside. One of the 3 sisters who run the restaurant seemed quite unhappy to me due to a lot of events since 2020..... I wish you but also your 2 other sisters every success for the years to come even if the current context is not easy. However, your restaurant is a source of pride for this small village but also for the people who come there to share a moment of conviviality with the right people!!! Hoping that your business continues to bear fruit for a long time ❤ Recommend with eyes closed 👍 (Original) Superbe restaurant ! (Translated by Google) We wholeheartedly recommend a visit and the "Circuit de Minerve" hike. Here are some tips for the hike: Start early, when it's not too hot yet. Be sure to pack sun protection (hat, cap, sunscreen). Also bring plenty of water to drink. There are no refreshment stops along the way. We hiked the route in hiking boots, which proved to be a good idea. A towel is a good idea for the beautiful watering holes on the Brian River. Walk the route as described, which means starting from the parking lot, follow the access road away from the village. Pay attention to the yellow markers (unfortunately, they're a bit small). The first half is generally a steady uphill climb. There's no shade! So, once again, we recommend bringing plenty of water! Between points 5 and 6, we took the dashed path on the map. It was worth it. The watering holes on the Brian River, in particular, were beautiful and a great refreshment! You have great views of the rocks of the gorge, and the second half of the hike is particularly entertaining. The hike is rated as moderately difficult. However, in extreme heat (as in our case), the circuit can be quite challenging. We highly recommend the hike, even if the initial section (the first half of the route) is a bit tough. Minerve marks the end of the tour. Here, you can relax and recover from the hike in one of the cafés.

Wonderful place. Drove around the town to the “big” parking spot. Then it’s a very, very scenic walk of 6 minutes. And then this nice and tiny restaurant with a beautiful view, nice service and superb food. The octopus and vegetables were superb, the risotto balls as well. The pizzas were considered “the best pizza ever”. All in all: great experience. I highly recommend!

What a lovely spot in Minerve. Lovely food Lovely staff, very friendly, even when busy the staff are smiling. We enjoyed our visit there and have returned 4 times. Each time we were not disappointed. They remembered us too. No hesitation in recommending.

We drove from Castelnaudary to the Cite’ to explore . Unfortunately it was raining but it didn’t dampen our experience. However all the restaurants were shut except this one , however it was exceptional . Nice welcome ,very laid back atmosphere ,and we didn’t come here for a pizza ,although they looked the very best I’ve seen. We chose the fixed price 3 course menu of the day and it was wonderful . Delicious home made soup, duck with orange vegetables and a roast pineapple with a cream and ice cream trimming . It was prepared to the highest standard . This place is a rare gem…Thankyou.

Stringy and tasteless beef tongue. Payment only by cash because there « is no network service » even though there is. Obviously, no atm in the city. Sloppy service with « witty » remarks

Good food, good service, good everything but there's not enough on the plate. We are not big eaters but we left hungry

Lovely restaurant with very pleasant staff who were very helpful with a young child in our group who had a small injury. Food was great and local wine very enjoyable. Had the duck breast on a skewer cooked in a traditional stone oven and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place!

Lunch was very bad, we were a bit late and could only choose plat du jour or a tapas plate. Better not to serve customers anymore than with these dishes. It was not cheap at all for what we got.
