Whether you're craving hearty steak or vegetarian delights, Rocking V Cafe has something for everyone.
Everything was perfect!! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I think our waitress was Sadie. My steak was cooked to perfection. The dessert was too. Molten chocolate cake with butterscotch, crunchy, candies and Vanilla Ice cream. We come to Kanab once a year and stop here and have never been disappointed. We'll be back again next year.

Ate here with the family while traveling through southern Utah. There was a little bit of a wait even though it was a Wednesday afternoon because a couple big tables were there. Not too bad though. We had the Pub Mac appetizer and it was a hit. I didn't get a picture of that because my son ate most of it before I could. I had the pub burger which was really good. I wasn't sure looking at it that it would be. The bun was huge and made the burger look tiny. The burger was also cooked well-done so I was afraid it would be dry, but it wasn't. It was delicious and filling. My son got the kids corn dog and loved it. He traded me the little bag of Lays potato chips that it came with for my "to-die-for potatoes". Pretty sure I came out on the raw end of that deal, because the potatoes were good. My wife got the Cowboys Chicken. It was delicious. My daughter got a giant slice of lasagna that she loved too. Everything was very good. A little pricey, but excellent.

Cute little restaurant right on the main street of Kanab. We ate outside so didn't get inside photos. We had our dog and everyone was so sweet about making sure he was OK. Even brought him a treat and they had water for him. Food was very good. Dessert was amazing. Waitress kept forgetting our drink, but it was very busy and maybe they were short handed. It was not a big deal. I would check this place out if your in town.
Marit-karen G — Google review
Would highly recommend this restaurant! The staff were very nice and friendly and the food was amazing. We had the burger and the yellow curry and it was honestly one of the best curry’s I have had in a while. The hummus and bread were also really good.
Daniela S — Google review
No one here has Coke zero…. the food was pretty good. The place has a cool, artsy vibe that reminded me a lot of downtown Ogden. There’s local artwork on the walls and a casual but creative atmosphere that makes it feel like more than just another small-town restaurant. If it’s busy, you will have to wait. The space isn’t huge, and it’s popular, so expect a little bit of a wait during peak hours. But once we got seated, the service was friendly and attentive. I had the steak and it was well prepared. Cooked just right, tender, and nicely seasoned. The presentation was clean, and the sides complemented it well. Everything on the table looked fresh and carefully made. It’s a good spot to stop if you’re passing through Kanab and want a sit-down meal in a relaxed setting with some personality. I would eat there again and try a few more things off the menu.

We were driving through Kanab and decided to stop here to eat. They had a nice little outdoor patio, and they welcomed our dogs. Even though it was 100°, it was more than tolerable in the shade of the patio. I had the southwest polenta bowl and my husband had the tomatillo lime chicken; we both enjoyed our meals. I'm plant-based and gluten-free, husband is not, so I always appreciate restaurants that can accommodate us both. Service was great. Staff was friendly and food was prepared quickly. I would definitely visit again!

Excellent place for dinner!! Our server was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Our food came out quickly. Our server checked on us often, replenishing Our drinks. Great atmosphere, very clean with interesting decor featuring local artists.

Amazing! The best ribeye I’ve had at a non-steakhouse restaurant. Ribeye: 10/10 Shrimp Linguine: 9/10 Almond Bread Pudding: 8/10 We highly recommend!

Nestled in the charming town of Kanab, Peekaboo Canyon Wood Fired Kitchen is a must-visit for those seeking delectable vegan and vegetarian dishes, along with a selection of local beers and handcrafted cocktails. Owned by the co-founders of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Francis and Silva Battista, this restaurant embodies principles of kindness, positive influence, leadership, authenticity, and transparency.
We stopped here because my wife is vegan, and the food was absolutely amazing. The kids ordered pizza from the kids’ menu, called The Wrangler, and I was surprised by how big the pie was. My wife ordered the Hot Mess pizza and loved it, while I ordered the Major Powell burger, which was very tasty and juicy. 100% satisfied and highly recommended.

We went to this so-called restaurant for dinner, and from the very start, it was a fiasco. Upon entering, we were told to wait outside — not for five minutes, but fifteen — as if accommodating seated guests was some monumental task. When we politely asked to wait inside, the waitress responded rudely, insisting we remain outside. Hospitality was clearly not part of the establishment’s vocabulary. Once we were finally seated, we were greeted by a filthy table — remnants of someone else’s meal still scattered across it, oily smears untouched, and a pervasive stench of fried grease hanging in the air. The odor was so strong that, upon leaving, our clothes carried it with us like a grim souvenir. To make matters worse, the pizza chef — if one can call him that — was preparing food with a long, unkempt beard and hands visibly stained with what looked like grease or ash. Watching him handle the dough with such disregard for hygiene was stomach-turning. As for the food itself, it was shockingly bad. You’d find better ingredients at the lowest-tier discount store. The dishes were flavorless, carelessly thrown together, and wholly unworthy of the outrageous price we ended up paying. We waited over an hour and a half for this disaster of a meal — in a restaurant that was nearly empty. Abysmal service, rude staff, unacceptable hygiene, and food of the lowest quality. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all costs — even a fast-food chain would be a superior choice. Calling this a “restaurant” is an insult to the word.

Wow! One of the best places I have eaten in! So good, tastes amazing and the service and atmosphere is just great! We’ve took a pizza (which was very great) and a burger. They have 3 options of burgers, the one we took was meat taste and for me (as a vegetarian) it was a bit harder, but for my partner- he liked it so much! Really recommended!!

We are visiting from outside of Utah after leaving Zion. Service was incredibly slow (it was moderately if that) ordered a few different menu items, chicken Alfredo pizza absolutely disgraceful. Sweet potato fries were ok hard to mess those up. Grilled cheese was good. And took a few burgers ordered “to go” it wasn’t until we got home we saw the disrespect of a burger they serve customers. All 3 burgers came out the same way. Look at photo for reference. Our server was no where to be found the entire time. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was having an off day as we all do. But even the table next to us was complaining how service was slow Never got our silverware or utensils for entire table. The only enjoyable part was the 2 beers that took forever to receive that I guzzled down in hurry so I could pay and get the heck out of there somewhat buzzed! I’m from Texas where kindness is king and food is great! Looking for somewhere to eat in Kanab? Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Great place for vegan/ vegetarian options. Cozy seating inside and lots of seating outside as well. We got pizzas and all were very tasty. A little too much flop but still pretty good. Give them a try!

The Cauliflower was excellent and had a good crisp to it. The Margherita Pizza was light and delicious. Quick service and staff were very friendly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting!

If you’re into wood-fired pizza, you can’t pass this place up! My wife love wood-fired pizzas and try them wherever we visit. I was a little hesitant at this place since their menu is all vegan and vegetarian and my preferred diet is anything but vegan or vegetarian. I was blown away at the flavor and quality of pizza they gave us. The portion size was awesome and I didn’t feel like I was getting skimped. The dough and flavor profiles were spot on. We tried the margherita pizza and the Hot Mess. Amazing flavor. If you like spicy food, you should get the hottest version of the Hot Mess. Can’t wait to come back.
Jordan K — Google review
We enjoyed the fact that there were veg options. Seating was fast but we definitely got lucky because there were plenty of people waiting after us. Pizza crust was delicious but toppings were skimpy and sweet potato fries were overdone and dry. The one seater restroom was small but clean and not handicapped accessible.

Kanab Creek Bakery is a charming European-style cafe and bakery with a lovely patio. Despite being surrounded by natural wonders and visited by countless tourists, Kanab still retains its isolated charm. The bakery is known for its artisan breads, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and espresso. It's a local favorite offering fresh breakfast options like breakfast burritos, shakshuka, quiche, waffles as well as lunch items such as paella and hot sandwiches.
Kanab Creek Bakery was a real gem that we stumbled upon during our road trip to Arizona and Utah. My family and I were on a trip to take in the grand views and hikes that the state had to offer, and we were not disappointed. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and my wife was in awe every second. However, one of the highlights of the trip was the little bakery we found in the middle of nowhere. At first, I didn't expect much from this small establishment, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The vegetarian dishes, omelette, quiche and dessert were all some of the best we had ever had. The drinks were great too, and the service was top-notch. We were able to find seats easily and the other patrons were also friendly. In addition to the great food, the bakery itself was charming and inviting. It had a cozy, rustic feel that added to the overall experience. We were able to relax and enjoy our meals while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Overall, I highly recommend Kanab Creek Bakery to anyone visiting Arizona and Utah. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. It was a great break from the hustle and bustle of our road trip, and it truly made our trip even more special. In terms of the vast beauty of Utah and Arizona, it was truly spectacular. From the red rocks of Sedona to the winding canyons of the Grand Canyon, the state offers an incredible array of natural wonders. Each view was more breathtaking than the last and it was hard not to be in awe of the stunning landscapes. The hikes were also challenging but rewarding with the views from the top. It was a trip of a lifetime and we can't wait to go back and explore more of Arizona's beauty.

There are several places to eat breakfast in this picturesque little town. Check out the alternatives. Atmosphere: If you can snag one of the four stools at the counter in the lobby, it would be the best because it’s nicely decorated and you have the warmth from the wood fire pizza oven you’re lucky otherwise you get shuffle to a dining room next-door. Food: There aren’t many items on the menu and all look good. My wife and I each ordered the quiche Lorraine at $14 US each. Each was delivered to our table in aluminum take away plates with plastic lids. Our plastic cutlery was delivered and sealed bags with a napkin and salt and pepper. Real plates and cutlery would’ve been nice. The quiche was obviously baked at another time, then “reheated” for service. The top layer wasn’t burnt, but it was much too dark. Probably from the reheating. The quiche was barely warm when we started and we we got to the center it was ice cold not appetizing at all. The flavour was just OK. Perhaps the kitchen staff was just having an off day although it wasn’t that busy when we were there at 11 o’clock on a Thursday morning. Service: I the cashier who took the order, and payment was very nice and welcomed us with a big smile and a, “good morning.“ See my photos for a better feel for things.

Great little bakery to stop off at when in Kanab. The ham and cheese croissants were delicious. I also got the regular palmier and it was flaky with the perfect amount of sweetness. The apple turnover was just okay. The customer service was great and the prices were fair. I would definitely come back when visiting Kanab.

A classic style bakery in Kanab, ate here on my last day of visiting the area and wish I had tried it sooner. The baked goods and drinks are delicious but I would say their hot food options are exceptional. I got the croque madame and my friend got the quiche and we inhaled them because they were so good. The quiche especially was so well made we could not stop talking about it. If you ever pass through kanab give them a try.

Authentic Belgian Bakery. Yummy treats and delicious breakfast and lunch options. So many yummy pastries to choose from, you’ll end up buying them all! Great friendly service. Outside dining or you can eat inside the art gallery. Parking is rough, but so is everything in Kanab. A definite must visit while in Kanab!

The croissant was pretty good, along with the coffee and chai. Do not get the "eggs" though. I have no clue what these were, but I would never call them eggs. They were awful and they charged $7 for them. Not only did they taste weird, but they looked strange too. EDIT: As a Google Guide, you need to post honest reviews. The reply by the staff, let alone the owner of this place was extremely rude so I am lowering it by 1 star. If you own a business, please act like an adult and take constructive criticism. P. S. Spell check is a fantastic thing.

Great spot with delicious baked goods. Stopped by for the crepes, but they currently don't have them on the menu. They're pretty busy during off-season, understaffed, out of a few menu items and the credit card readers were down, but they're still killing it. Almond croissants were 🔥. Worth the line.
Stacey B — Google review
Firstly it's super cute when you walk in. Parking a bit tricky since there's only about 5 parking spaces. They have seats outside and inside you can sit. Please be patient due to it was only 2 of the sweetest people working. Their vanilla iced latte was amazing, got another. Their chai latte wasn't so great wouldn't recommend that. Bread, butter, and jam is a must. Also their croissants were buttery and good! Definitely would come back!

This is the only spot in Kanab for coffee, so it was busy, but I’m so thankful we stopped on our way out of town heading to the parks. The staff was so kind even when there were so many grumpy customers ordering that hadn’t had their caffeine fix yet. I got an iced (2 shots of espresso) latte with regular milk and white mocha flavor. It was delicious!!! They have baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, to go food, and all the caffeine you need before you go to the parks! Worth the wait. Worth the stop.

I really wanted to like this place. It was, for the most part, well reviewed and perfect for what I was looking for. But when we got there, the muffins and scones looked burnt and (at least to me) unappetizing. However we picked up a coffee, mocha, a blueberry muffin and an apple turnover. My mocha and turnover were both good. Nothing spectacular, but good in their own right. But as we were driving away, my daughter started complaining about her blueberry muffin. I have a bad habit of dismissing my 10-year old daughters complaints (I know, I'm working on it), so I kinda blew off her complaints saying 'I told you it looked burnt'. But then she pushed the half eaten muffin into my lap and showed me it was completely undercooked in the center. Ordinarily I would have taken it back to the counter, but we were already headed out of town for a day of activities. Suffice it to say, I was generally unimpressed. It has so much potential, but the quality appears to be so-so. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it's a fluke, but at this point I'll likely never return.

This place has great bagels that are fresh, perfectly toasted, and have a chewy texture. The coffee is smooth and rich, just what I needed to start my day. Friendly service and highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious bagels and a good cup of coffee!

Discovered this little bakery while passing through Kanab on our way home to Vegas. We would recommend getting there early before everything is sold out, since they do not have a large inventory of fresh bake items on hand. There are tables inside and outside the café along with a customer’s only restroom. There is free parking to the rear of the café and along South Main Street. The staff members were very polite, and the café itself was clean. As for the pastries, they were alright but nothing spectacular and the prices were reasonable.
Thomas B — Google review
Stopped by here as it had good reviews on my trip through kanab. The service was good but the portions are a little smaller than expected considering it was $35 for two breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees. It was lovely though !
K L — Google review
This is the second time we visit to grab breakfast while on a road trip and we were underwhelmed. We ordered breakfast sandwiches on croissants and multigrain bread and breakfast burritos. The burritos were so small and the breads for the sandwiches were so toasted they became hard. We also ordered hazelnut lattes, which were good, but the food left much to be desired.
Norma A — Google review
Very cute place in Kanab with good coffee and a nice selection for breakfast. They also have nice pastries and enough veggie options.
Daniela S — Google review
The only thing keeping this from being a 1-star review is the service—the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The food and coffee were downright terrible—completely lacking in flavor and quality. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant was shocking. Just looking around made me feel nauseous, which is never something you want to experience in a place that serves food. I really wanted to like this spot, but between the poor food quality and the lack of basic cleanliness, I won’t be coming back. Friendly service can only go so far when everything else falls short.

Houston's Trail's End Restaurant is a long-standing establishment in Kanab, serving up hearty American fare in a charming Western-themed setting. The Houston family has upheld the Old West legacy for over 40 years, offering a diverse menu that includes sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, burgers, steaks, ribs, chicken and shrimp. Locals and visitors alike appreciate the delicious comfort food made with high-quality locally sourced ingredients.
We were presently surprised by this little place. As we drove by, it appeared not very busy, and we were unsure. We parked in the pack and walked around to the front. We were seated right away, and to our surprise, a lot of both were filled, which you can't see because the booths are high. The food was great and not too much either. It was the perfect amount! We were even able to order dessert to go and ate it late that night. Our server was very attentive!

Houston’s Trail end was about as advertised. They had fair prices and food for what was offered. I got them chicken fried steak which was good but not great, the buns that came with the meal was probably the best thing I had. The Mac n cheese was kind of gooey and lacked flavor but the bbq chicken was very tangy and solid. Service was very nice our waitress was very responsive to our requests.

Hot roast beef and a hot turkey. Both were very good and price was reasonable. We shared a banana cream pie. My only recommendation is they upday and change the table clloth/vinal. It's worn and frayed.

Had a small salad with yummy chili👌 was delicious. The service was a little slow, but they were nice when they got to you, recently priced. Oddly the hostess wasn’t sure what was on the menu 🤔

This was our first time eating at Houstons and we had high expectations based on how the crowds of people were waiting to get a table. One woman even told us the wait was worth every second and that she would "wait all day for this place." The old west theme was festive and the staff was nice, but the food was not amazing. On the breakfast menu, just about everything has tons of cream gravy and is all just average diner food. They would not make adjustments/substitutions to the ingredients even for an allergy because everything was apparently pre-portioned, which was really limiting to what could be ordered.

Another restaurant we picked on travels out west that didn't disappoint. Service was great. Food was top notch. I had their "famous" country fried steak and it did not disappoint. Mash potatoes with their homemade gravy and the homemade mac & cheese made it a 5 star meal. My wife had the ribeye, and it was great.

I stopped in one day for the first time and enjoyed their double cheeseburger with house fries. Today I stopped in because I didn’t have room for pie last time. I love a good coconut cream, and this one did not disappoint. This in-house-made pie is custardy with lots of whipped cream and made with actual shredded coconut throughout. The crust was so flaky. I took this one to go up 89 near Hog Canyon to enjoy. So my last chance to try the chocolate cream pie before they close for the 2023 season. It too is made in house as well. So good 🫶🏼. For a visit both short and sweet, thank you for the good food and pie. August 8th 2025 So I’m back after nearly 2 years. I was really hoping the pies would be just as good as they were the previous times. They are the same. The coconut cream is my favorite, and if you order any of the cream pies, you better be into whipped cream 😳🤣.. literally💙. Staff is still just as friendly. Their food is amazing as well. I use this place for my decadent craving sweet tooth. I’m Yet to find any pie that comes close to theirs. I’ve been to Oregon and back. In the end, I have found the best place to enjoy this decadent coconut cream pie is out amongst the red rock of this beautiful desert location. Gotta love, Kanab.🫶🏼

Iron Horse Restaurant is a casual and cozy spot with a unique cowboy theme, offering a smaller but perfectly executed menu of steaks, burgers, ribs, and hearty sides. The restaurant has a great selection of beer and wine to complement the delicious meals. It's an ideal place for families or larger groups, with a fun waiting area for tables. The restaurant also features a bar serving mixed drinks along with wine and beer.
This place was so much fun, and their food was fantastic! Plus much less expensive than I assumed. I had the salmon meal, and it was delicious! The salmon came out perfectly cooked, with the right amount of seasoning, on the side of green beans or cooked and then start on the grill. They were good The atmosphere is great, very old western days! The outdoors is set up to look like an actual old western town. If I ever find myself down in Kanab again, I will definitely be eating at this place and shopping in there gift shops.

Gave this place a try for dinner. The staff were very friendly and fun. I arrived before dinner time and there was no wait to sit. They have a draft root beer that was incredible to me. I had a half rack of ribs with mac and cheese and fries. The ribs were good, very tender, fall off the bone. The mac and cheese was ok, a little bland but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn’t fix. The fries were really good, crispy and just the right amount of seasoning. It’s a neat restaurant and I look forward to returning as they have a lot of items on the menu that interest me.

Great western themed restaurant and fun for kids with many activities like beanbag throwing. Also offers many photo opportunities. Brisket tasted really good although a bit dry. Hamburgers with bacon were really tasty and medium cooked. Covered terrace is really cozy to sit outside.

This is our second stop in Kanab. You can't find a more western themed BBQ joint like this in the 300 miles radius. Yes it is tourist trap with great neighborhood type of service. You can tell by the clientele, about 90% tourists and 10% locals in this 5500 polloulation town. The Wings are good, large and crispy. Good buffalo sauce. The salad has seen better days, the Parmesan cheese on the salad was so dry I basically just picked them out along some of the old lettuce. The burger was juicy and thick, with over fried / hard onion rings on top. The Ribs had a good rub, but they must have been sitting around for a while and lost most of the juiciness. The meat still falls off the bone but in flakes. I ate about 50% of it. Glad that I didn't order the full rack. Now the sides, very good beans, soft and tasty, the slaw was pretty mild, not much taste to it just like the mac and cheese. Overall, I think the food could be better during high season when there are more tourists filling the place up. The food preparations are good, just not very fresh.

Incredible place! I haven’t had such a good dinner in awhile. The ribeye and the wings were just AMAZING. Duane was serving us tonight and suggested very well, he is super super nice! I totally suggest this place if you want to have an unforgettable dining experience!

What a wonderful experience, I'm so glad we stopped by this great place in Kanab. We were greeted by the friendly host Derek who seated us right away - he was very accommodating with our seating request as well. Duane took care of us the rest of the night - he was fabulous, so friendly, and I really appreciated his suggestions when I asked him about the menu - the flatiron steak was perfect for me and so tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My friend also loved his brisket and sides, all wonderful. Duane really went the extra mile; he was so quick to get our drinks and so friendly. With great food and service like this, we'll absolutely be back when we're in the area. Thanks for a great evening, it made our day perfect.

Awesome bbq! Nice decor.. they are short handed and gave a disclaimer on the wait time for seating and food. But we could feel the staff were trying their best, it didn’t take that long anyway because kids were kept entertained at the playground and the outdoor area is lovely. My only wish is for the food portion to be more generous.

The Ironhorse was a recommendation from our hotel staff and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was amazing, Nancy and Anna went above and beyond. We had great appetizers and drinks. Our meals were delicious. The best part of the evening was the staff, they gave us great insight about the area and were not opposed to a little banter. Thanks for a great evening!.

Glazier's Market is a small town grocery store with a good selection of quality products. It offers discounts on gas at the neighboring Chevron for purchases over $50. The store features a simple taco shop and deli at the back, where friendly employees serve delicious food. Despite being slightly disorganized, it provides reliable products and good prices typical of the Kroger chain. Visitors praise its friendly staff, clean facilities, and reasonable prices compared to other stores in the area.
Nice medium sized market with a good selection of products including fresh vegetables and fruits as well as prepared foods. Prices are good as well. Funny jokes along the hallway to the restrooms which were clean as well Staff very helpful and friendly.

Do you guys have wine? "Mam, this is Utah. You need to go back across the border into AZ to get wine and lottery tickets." That store just over the border does have wine, but the selection is meh. They do have beer though. The other store doesn't have beer. This one also has a nice little deli with cold cuts, which the other one doesnget that and lotterystores in town this is the better option.

I stopped by happenstance before heading into Zion for a drink and deli sandwich. Very surprised by a super tasting sandwich. I recommend the Turkey Cranberry Swiss w/ sweet heat preserves. It was moist, sweet and had a perfect tang from the cranberries. Usually I'd have to add mayonase and deli mustard to make these types of sandwiches taste ok.
Pat C — Google review
Food was subpar. I ordered a tender meal and it came without fries or biscuit (was also cold) for almost $10. Customer service was even worse. People behind the hot bar were pretty rude considering I was a paying customer and was just trying to pick up some quick bites, but they had an angry demeanor while they were respectful to others. It’s 2025, maybe be a little less blatant about your personal values and treat everyone with the same respect.

Stopped here for supplies on a Bryce/Zion trip. Grabbed some lunch sandwiches and other items. Grocery was just fine. But let me tell you that their Turkey Cranberry Sandwich with Hot Relish was really good on the hiking trail!

I live in town and make an effort to support local businesses, but I will not be shopping here again. After finishing at self-checkout, I went to place my basket in the designated spot. A worker suddenly yanked it out of my hand without saying a single word. It was incredibly rude. If she had simply said, “I can take that,” it wouldn’t have been a problem. Instead, the way she handled it made me feel disrespected and treated as if I were less than human.

Good selection of food and health/beauty items. Decent prices too. However the self checkout lady was very rude when I politely asked for help.

Nice customer service, love the fact that you can buy single radishes, celery, carrots etc. especially when you’re just one person hiking for a couple of days and you fancy some veggies. And of course they have sandwiches, salads, and every day groceries.

Easy to miss, impossible to forget! Hands down the best BBQ I've had in Utah. No more dry, tough meat. Everything was tender, juicy, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Portions were generous too! My wife and I shared the cowboy combo and it was perfect for the two of us, especially for the price. We absolutely will be coming back for more!!

The best peach cobbler I've ever had in my life! The ribs are the kind where the meat falls off the bone 😋. Laid back atmosphere and great gals behind the counter. Military appreciative with a discount is a nice bonus 👌. We were just passing through town and had not planned to come here but glad we did. We ordered the cowboy combo and split it between the two of us and still had leftovers.

This place was such a GREAT find on a very long road trip. I had the peanut butter and jelly brisket sandwich and oh my lord, it was amazing! Everything we ate was so delicious and the owner was a super cool Steelers fan 😎

Had a fantastic dinner at Giff’s. I had the pulled pork with the potato’s & my hubby had the brisket with the baked beans. It did not disappoint! The staff was so friendly! Oh & the peach cobbler was delish!

Cute BBQ place hidden behind a gift shop. We came in the morning for the Hollywood museum, but could already smell some divine meats. Came back in the evening to give them a shot. Real nice people, and the brisket, peppered ribs and pulled pork was top-shelf! The ribs were so good that we, against budgetary and dietary better judgment, got another pepper rib plate. Strong recommend. The two folks running the enterprise (I guess Giff himself) were really nice too.
Hannes K — Google review
We were told this was the best brisket ever! We'll we found the meats to be very dry and not very edible we without BBQ sauce. The ribs were cold as well. The flavor or the brisket & pulled pork were good they just seemed like they were kept in a warmer and dried out which is why they weren't great. They have great portions and the price is great as well. The place it self needs some livelihood some upbeat feel good music to enjoy while you enjoy your meal. They have TV so you can watch sports as well. The sides were good and we definitely enjoyed them. So thanks for great service just wish the meats were juicy. Probably best when meats are freshly made.

The lodge offers spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds and helpful staff. Guests can enjoy the casual restaurant and pool on-site. It's conveniently located in the town center with easy access to restaurants.
The staff was amazing and very welcoming. We had a large group with trucks and ATV trailers and they accommodated us without and hesitation or problem getting us parking. Pool was great and the loved the fire pits and outdoor areas. Last but not least the breakfast buffet was great and worth every penny we spent. We would absolutely stay here again.

Denni was fantastic. She went the extra mile to be accommodating. I arrived without a reservation and later in the evening. She had housekeeping prepare a room, gave me excellent recommendations for dinner, proudly explained the history of Lodge and reached out to me when the room was ready. She went above and beyond to take care of me and feel very welcomed. I will recommend the Parry Lodge and I will stay with you again! All because Denni set the tone for my experience!

This was the coolest place and more people need to know about the history and how it has been preserved . I loved staying there. I think maybe some updates to the rooms would be nice without sacrificing the nostalgia. The bed was really comfy and the air worked good. The breakfast was a bit disappointing and maybe offer fewer items with better quality . This did not change my mind and I am glad I stayed and learned so much about Kanab and Parry Lodge

Parry Lodge met all of our expectations and then went above and beyond! Tyler met us and offered a room on the second floor, but our knees and hips were aching from all day in Zion Park. He moved us to a first floor room without a problem. We were very grateful to avoid the extra climbing. We loved the huge, generous, and delicious breakfast bar! Everything was neat and well presented and available hot and fresh! Biscuits and sausage gravy plus perfectly crisp bacon - wow! The French toast, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties were ideal! We loved having fresh baked cookies to take along on the trails! We loved seeing the Hollywood stars and learning their stories. We watched the documentary on filmmaking in Kanab, and saw those familiar landscapes in the western movie, called “The Pony Express”. We were picked up at the Parry Lodge by Coral Cliffs and had a private tour of the Peekaboo Slot Cavern for only $300 for 4 of us! We dined at the Rocking V Cafe on Main Street, and the Grand Staircase special was extremely good! We hope everyone who sees this review stays at Parry Lodge and loves it as much as we did!

Great historic motel. The rooms are dated but that means nothing! Staff is so sweet and helpful. Especially super hardworking front desk and man in dining room. I’m sorry I don’t have names. I love the memorabilia. The film was awesome. Bed super comfortable….pillows not so much. Had a really long hot shower. Highly recommend!!
Pamela C — Google review
Nice motel room. Very old feel, low toilets, if you're old this might be a bit of a challenge for you. The beds are very noisy, squeeking as you roll over during the night. When we arrived, there wasn't a whole roll of toilet paper on the roll, and its 1 ply! We stayed 5 nights. We asked a few times for a roll of tp but we never got one. We had to use kleenex. Limited supply of coffee for the room, they said their order hadn't arrived. There's plenty of room in the parking lot especially if you have an atv. The buffet breakfast was the best part of our stay. $12.00/person. Johnny, worked very hard keeping the tables clean and the food replenished. He is excellent!!! We'd go back just to talk with this fellow. The front check in...was so - so. Not very friendly or personable. We'd stay again, but we'd bring our own coffee and toilet paper.

Staff was good. The place was cute. The cottage we stayed in was super cute. Pillows were soft and comfy. Mattresses could be a LOT softer, they were hard as rock. Other then that it was a fun visit

Rooms were clean and held the ambiance. However, tv did not work and they knew it. We like to unwind at night. Beds were comfortable and clean. No coffee maker in room and ice machine did not work. Front desk lady was not friendly….at all. We had to pay for breakfast and I didn’t mind that. However, bacon was mostly raw and had to wait for eggs, and french toast. Not a large variety of food. Disappointed in our stay. I won’t stay again.

Despite being in a small town, it surprises visitors with its international flair. The restaurant opens from Tuesday to Saturday, serving delicious meals from breakfast to dinner. Visitors praise the authentic flavors reminiscent of Cuban home cooking and find the prices affordable.
Havana Cabana is a small, family-owned restaurant on the main road in Kanab. I highly recommend stopping by at least once. I had the Cuban Steak Plate and Cuban Coffee while my wife had Chicken Quesadillas and a Fish Taco. All food was prepped to perfection. The flavors were amazing and the serving sized were healthy. The staff was very friendly and happy to serve. I highly recommend Havana Cabana on your trip to Kanab, UT.

I can understand some people are still suffering from taste lost after COVID, but unless you are used to eating cardboard, I do not recommend you ordering the Cuban plates. I was hoping to be surprised finding a Cuban joints in this little old Hollywood wild wild west town but it was the wrong surprise unfortunately. Whomever gave the Cuban food here 5 stars needs to go to Miami and try the real thing. I had the Cuban steak plate, it was no steak, it was just small pieces of tough beef, the only thing legit was the flavor, sour orange and you can taste that in the pull pork too. The pull pork plate on the other hand was ok, dry. The Cuban sandwich was OK, but it was with the same dry pull pork. The bread was a little old, tough and chewy. I think they make better burgers and fries here.

Excellent visit here! The lady working the front cash taking orders was amazing. She was very friendly and helpful, and was incredibly polite. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked! The only negative thing to mention is that there was a younger guy working who seemed to keep looking at us a bit weirdly, so that was a weird vibe, but maybe he was just friendly. Wasn't much of a friendly look though.

Ate dinner here just as folks were setting up hot air balloons for the “Balloons and Tunes” candlelighting event, and it was awesome! The “Lisa Pizza” was delicious, as was the soup and panini. The staff are very friendly and funny and will make ur kids happy. The presentation of the shakes are jaw dropping. Escobar's Mexican Restaurant in Kanab, Utah is a cozy and family-run eatery that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features giant burritos, Chile Relleno enchiladas, and flavorful shrimp tacos. This local favorite is known for its fresh and delicious Mexican food made to order, including amazing salsa prepared by the server's husband. With ice-cold Coronas and a friendly staff, it's the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.
Wonderful little quaint restaurant with a handful of tables inside & out. Generous portions & wonderful taste. Their salsa is very tasty also! The thing that stood out the most was the courteous and very friendly staff & the gorgeous view from their patio.

A typical Mexican restaurant that provides the basics but lacks an alcohol selection. Unfortunately, we were all hungry and in the mood for mixed drinks, but it seems Kanab is primarily a dry town. Despite this, we decided to give it a shot, hoping for some fantastic Mexican food. The food was good but not great, again, nothing exemplary. One standout was a lively employee with a captivating, almost ethereal voice who sang while working in the kitchen. When she took a break, we overheard her discussing a new job opportunity that included air conditioning and elevators. I truly hope she’s thriving, as she added a special touch to our experience at Escobar’s.

We were hungry and googled this place, had good ratings. Placed our orders, me and husband's orders came out first. We were halfway done when my son's order finally came out. We had to share our food with him while he was waiting. Asked for napkins throughout our lunch, but never got any.

Admittingly busy for Cinco de Mayo. But overall the food was just ok, wish more meat choices. And biggest issue was we both felt quite sick afterwards. Chips and salsa - Thin bland chips, standard salsa. Tacos - just normal hard shell. Taco Salad - Cute for sure! But with all cold toppings on top, entire bottom of meat and beans was cold and made the shell soggy. Enchiladas - Decent but tasted mostly of cheese, wish way more sauce. Meats - Tried all 3 and ultimately none were special.

As one of four visitor centers for the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, it serves as a hub for tourist activities in the area.
Erin, Sedina and Kaitlyn, thank you. This place was really fun and they really liked the volunteers, informative and gave us a plethora information. Don’t miss this stop on your road trip! The staff here is a wealth of information for all tourist activities. The gentleman that helped us was Alan. He offered some suggestions for local hikes. We took his advice and checked out the toadstool area. The visitor center was very clean, and there are public restrooms as well. The restrooms are located on the outside of the building. I would recommend taking a few minutes to look around inside as well. They have some exhibits that explain some of the geological features of the area. They also have gift shops and passport stamps for collectors.

Big Al's Burgers at The Junction in Kanab, UT is a classic burger joint that offers a variety of burgers, fries, and milkshakes. In addition to the classic options, they also have veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, and grilled cheese for those looking for something different. The drive-thru spot provides simple and delicious food at fast food prices but with much better quality.
Big Al’s Burger is the kind of old-school, no-fuss burger joint that hits the spot when you’re craving something delicious and satisfying. You pull up, park, and grab a seat at one of the outdoor benches under a covered roof—simple, laid-back, and just what you need for a solid burger experience. We tried: 🍔 Big Red & the Cheeseburger – Both were juicy, perfectly sauced, and packed with flavour. No unnecessary frills, just great homestyle burgers done right. 🥔 Large Tater Tots – Basically adorable mini hash browns—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Could easily snack on these all day. 🥤 Cookie Dough Milkshake – Thick, creamy, and almost like a Blizzard. The chocolate chips were a bit hard at first, but once it melted a little, it was just right—not overly sweet, just smooth and satisfying. If you’re looking for classic, well-made burgers and comfort food in a chill setting, Big Al’s is a must-try!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A local tour guide recommended Big Al’s, and I’m so glad they did! We ordered 3 meals, each with fries and milkshakes, plus 6 containers of their delicious Big Al’s sauce (2 per meal). The total came to around $48, which felt like a great value—especially considering how tasty everything was! The food hit the spot, the shakes were a treat, and the service was genuinely friendly. I had looked at another nearby restaurant with prices ranging from $20–30 per plate, so we were especially happy to enjoy a satisfying lunch without breaking the bank. Definitely recommend if you’re in Kanab and craving a classic burger-and-fries meal with local charm.

It’s a must stop if you want something good and cheap. We stumped upon this place and I’m glad that we gave it a try. The food was good especially my chicken salad. It’s fresh and you could tell that they didn’t prepare it in advance. They truly live up to “ we don’t make it until you order it”. The cashier was patient answering our questions. The price was cheap. I would def go back when I’m in town again.

Stopped by Big Al’s Burgers as the first food stop on my trip, and it definitely set the tone with a great meal. 🍔 Food: I ordered a Big Red burger with just ketchup, fries, and a vanilla shake — everything hit the spot perfectly. The burger was juicy, the fries were crisp, and the shake was creamy and classic. My wife got the Hustler burger and really enjoyed it, saying it had great flavor and balance. 👥 Service: Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, though one or two helpers came off a bit off-putting. Overall, service was quick and the food came out fresh, which made for a solid experience. 🎨 Aesthetic: Big Al’s has that classic burger joint vibe with older signage and a nostalgic feel. It’s simple but charming, the kind of place that feels like it’s been serving up good food for generations.

We tried the cheeseburger, bison burger, and waffle fries, and everything was amazing. The bison burger stood out big time: if you’ve never had bison before, this is the place to try it. It’s rich, juicy, and in my opinion, even more flavorful than beef. The waffle fries were crispy and golden, and their homemade fry sauce is a total must-have.. creamy, tangy, and addictive. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re craving a great burger experience.

Absolutely incredible! I had a double Bison burger & Big Red burger with sweet potato fries & sticky sauce. You have to get the sticky sauce… this whole experience was IT.

We stopped here while on a road trip as an impulse decision. Their bison burger was absolutely amazing. We also tried their home made fry sauce and it was delicious. I regret not getting a shake. For how busy they were at the time we went they made sure the floors were clean and everything was stocked .I wish we lived close to them because my husband is constantly craving them now.

Italian restaurant
Lotsa Motsa Pizza is a family-owned eatery offering a variety of fresh pizzas, calzones, and salads. Their weekday lunch buffet is a steal at $5.95, featuring unlimited pizza and salad bar options. The restaurant has a cozy, small-town vibe with accommodating staff who are happy to customize orders for sharing. The thick-crust pizzas are generously topped, and the spicy wings add an extra kick to the meal.
As soon as we walked in we were nicely greeted and attended by Remmy ( Rai ) She is a very warm, sweet, kind and hard working employee. We ordered Veggie Pizza and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce had a great balance of tangy and savory, while the cheese was melt-in-your-mouth perfection loaded with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the toppings were evenly distributed, so every slice had the perfect ratio of cheese to toppings. What really stood out, though, was the freshness – you can tell the ingredients are top-notch. The pizza was piping hot when it arrived, and it held up well, even after cooling down a bit it tasted perfect. Definitely a pizza worth going for in Kanab – highly recommend it to anyone looking for some vegetarian food around Kanab.

Pizza was nothing amazing but good for the price. Think it was 7 bucks for the buffet. Fresh salad and they even had piping hot tomato soup. Great deal if you are looking to save money. Buffet is 11am-2pm. Not much interaction with the staff as it is self serve. The seating is sit where you want, bench style with a couple of booth seats. I would come here again.

When you walk in for an extremely cheap $6.99 buffet (about $9 with drinks) - let's be real, your bar is LOW. We got in towards the last 40 minutes so my photo makes the pizza section look sad. But - They kept it coming to the end, always 4 to 6 pizzas to pull from and fresh. A nice crispy chewy dough. Nice salad bar. Simple but satisfying!

My family and friends tried the pizza here while visiting Kanab. This place is amazing, I guess it’s a family owned place. They are very kind and helpful. Everything made from scratch and fresh. They have salads and pizza, my friends and family tried veggie and cheese pizza and salad. They said it’s just great. Also. They have daily special for all you can eat at $6.99 which was a great price. They do have lot of parking spots, but since they are very good parking gets busy, but we can park on the road. They also have restroom. Overall great service and experience.

Good pizza buffet and costs only 7dollars each. Fountain drink was little under 4 dollar. 4/5 because pizza was ”okay” for the price you pay BUT buffet was empty when we arrived. Had to wait 10-15min to get pizza.

Best pizza I've ever eaten. Ordered a custom pizza and it was the perfect temp, with the perfect amount of melty cheese and toppings. Loved it. The lady server was lovely too. Great stop off point on the way to Zion - grab yourself a free Zion guide newspaper too.

3.5 stars. The crust was slightly on the thicker side but good flavor nonetheless. They are generous with their toppings. We got a no cheese pizza due to a lactose intolerant member in our party. It was actually good and I'm glad they were able to accommodate this request. The chicken wings were good. Beware, when they say spicy in Utah they really do mean spicy! Overall it was good and I would eat here again and recommend this to anyone in the area.

Vermillion 45 is a cozy bistro in Kanab that offers a warm and informal atmosphere. The open kitchen allows guests to see the chefs at work as they prepare a variety of French and Italian dishes, including seafood, meat, and desserts. The bistro also boasts an impressive selection of wines and cocktails. The chef, Casidio, brings his experience from Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris to create delectable French, Belgian, and Italian cuisine.
The caprese bruschetta was a great starter. The steak was cooked perfectly and the risotto was delicious. The desserts all looked great but we were too full to try them. I would highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Female server was gruff but got the job done (authentic french experience now that i think about it). Chocolate mousse was good 5/5. French Onion Soup 4/5, Salmon Ratatouille 4/5. We enjoyed the seats next to the windows so we could see outside. Noise level was fine. both times we’ve eaten here It’s because they were one of the only places open and it was fine. Food is really rich of course (it’s french), so don’t plan any rigorous activities afterwards.

We were very surprised with this Gem! The service was great. The drinks, Beef Bourguignon and Rigatoni were tasty. The Scallop Risotto was outstanding as was the Chocolate Mousse! We were very glad we tried this place and will do so again when back in town. Highly recommend if you are looking for a higher-end restaurant.

Overall, it’s a fine establishment, with excellent foods and service. Wendy stood out as a friendly server, with attentive customers service. She is right on queues with each part of the dinner. We were very hungry from our hike today & excited to have dinner at a very excellent restaurant.

Had dinner here recently and was VERY pleased with the food. I had the pork chop on mashed potatoes with pan gravy. Absolutely wonderful. The service however was seriously underwhelming. I have never felt less welcome in any restaurant any where. My waitress made me we feel like I was a serious annoyance. I thought it was just me but everyone got the same treatment. I'll go back next time im in town and hope the staff has found some new blood. What a shame.

Solid Spot with Great Dishes and Spacious Vibe Vibe: The interior is really nice and spacious, making it a comfortable place to dine. I liked the overall atmosphere. Service: Service was smooth and attentive—no issues at all. Wait Time: Visited on a Sunday and was seated right away, which was great. Food Quality: We tried the Pistachio Chicken and Idaho Trout—both were excellent, with distinct and unique flavor profiles. The Yellow Curry and Bean Paste were less enjoyable as the curry flavor was a bit overpowering. Portion sizes were generous. Bang for Buck: A little on the pricier side, but the quality of food makes it worthwhile. Location: Easy to find and convenient to get to.

One night stop in Kanab, UT and needed a place for dinner - so happy we found this gem! We were greeted and seated promptly. The server was friendly and everything came out quickly. The drink and food selection was nice and exactly what we were looking for after a hard day hiking. The drinks (an old fashioned and a sage honey bulliet rye) were great! The food, even better! Ribeye was cooked perfectly topped with bacon blue cheese butter and served with smashed red potatoes and asparagus. Superb! The Jamaican Jerk pork bowl had great flavor. The carrot cake with ice cream was huge and delicious! Everything was 10/10! So glad we stopped in. Thank you!

Had a nice lunch at Wild Thyme while on a business trip in Kenab. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the corn chowder and house salad, both were good! One coworker had the quinoa salad and another had the tacos and both said they enjoyed their meals.

We had the ribeye, which was cooked to perfection and exceeded expectations. The existence of such a high-quality restaurant within a small hotel was astonishing, and the experience was truly amazing. We ordered the ribeye, followed by the hatched chili pasta. Notably, we dined at the sister restaurant today, and it failed to compare to the exceptional experience we had yesterday at the Knoap location.

Stopped by Wild Thyme Café for a quick lunch after kayaking the Colorado River, and it ended up being one of the best meals of the trip. 🧆 Food: I ordered the elk burger with smoked Gouda, house burger sauce, and sage butter smashed potatoes — and it absolutely blew my mind how good everything was. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and the potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. It was the kind of meal that completely hits the spot after a long morning outdoors. 👥 Service: Our waitress, Marsha, was absolutely outstanding. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel instantly welcome, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. 🎨 Aesthetic: The café has a cozy little dining area with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. I didn’t get to see much of the rest of the place, but it felt inviting and genuine. It’s a perfect small-town gem.

Oct-23rd, I had dinner at the bar, took them a while to serve me. Ordered The Bison medallions, I asked for medium no bloody please. I had to send it back, totally under done, was rare & bloody when you cut into it. That’s fine for those that enjoy rare. It did not look like medallions either to me, seasoning bland, asparagus overcooked but the mashed potatoes were seasoned great & were delicious. So not worth $55. They didn’t even make the cocktail right forgot to put the rim on. And then one of the other waiters decided to read the menu to see if I was incorrect. Really he was not even serving me. I just was so hungry & tired after hiking all day I should’ve sent it all back and went elsewhere. Apparently the chicken is really good. Not worth $77

Little Hollywood Land is a charming museum and trading post located in Kanab, known as "Little Hollywood" due to its history of being a filming location for numerous iconic movies. The museum features a collection of old movie sets from famous films, offering visitors the chance to explore and learn about the area's significant role in the development of filmmaking.
A very nice and large amount of studio sets, well preserved and insta worthy. They also have a shop and a bbq restaurant with delicious food and friendly people.

Interesting nostalgia for all you old western fans, and the lady who runs the place is sweet and inviting. This place was probably pretty special a few years back, but you can tell its aging. Give them a visit and donate to a nice little niche of "hollywood" history. It's free to see, but donations seem to be appreciated👍
Erick D — Google review
Something different but some areas have fell into disrepair. Interesting about filming some old movies but children would not know any of the shows. Great little gift shop before you go in. They ask for a little donation. The BBQ place in the same building is delicious.
Rebecca M — Google review
I'm glad this place is free. It has become really run down. We did give a suggested donation per adult but I really don't think it was worth it. It's sad to see such history not being taken care of. They were doing changing of light bulbs and whatnot and stuff was just out in buckets wherever. Kids didn't mind but the older adults had a hard time getting past all the clutter around. Wish we would have skipped this and done a tour of the animal sanctuary instead.
Emily B — Google review
It's an interesting spot with a connection to old western movies and shows of the 60s & 70s. The buildings are interesting to see and it's a quick walk around, but most are in disrepair. Despite that, it's worth a tour of the sets for film afficionadoes.

Meh. I hate to give museums a bad review but this one really is lacking. It is not well maintained and they need far more information on each structure. Would not return. Sorry.

Very disappointed in Little Hollywood based on the reviews and Trip Advisor ranking it #1 of things to do in Kanab. There wasn't much there and what was there was in a state of disrepair. The Parry Lodge is a actually a more interesting "musesum" than this. Choose one of the many other museums in town or head up Johnson Canyon to the Gunsmoke set.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is a renowned no-kill shelter located in Kanab, surrounded by over 33,000 acres of red-rock desert. The sanctuary houses a variety of animals including horses, pigs, dogs, cats, and birds. Visitors can enjoy facility tours and films showcasing the incredible work being done at the center. It's a must-visit destination for animal lovers offering volunteer opportunities and adoptions.
One of the most inspiring places we’ve ever visited. We booked the 1.5-hour guided tour and had an amazing experience. The tour took us through this vast, beautifully maintained sanctuary, including stops at the pig area and the cat house. We even got to pet some of the animals, which was a real highlight. I’ve never seen a more impressive or well-organized animal welfare organization—the space is huge, and it’s clear the animals are incredibly well cared for. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, making the tour both educational and heartwarming. Whether you love animals or just want to support a truly meaningful cause, this place is a must-visit.

So, probably a good idea to plan your stop in advance. We didn't. They have plenty of tours, but it looks like most are in the morning. Enough about our mistake. The self-guided tour is pretty epic anyway. You do get to go into one of the many cat houses and interact with the kitties. And you can see just a few of their hundreds of dogs at the adoption center. This place is doing great work.

This place was so much fun. The lunch was amazing. Especially for $5. And the view from the patio was so pretty. Everyone was so welcoming. The tours were super cool and the animals are so well behaved. The cats were great with children which was a relief with my 3 year old wanting to pet them.

I am a monthly donor so I wanted to see how my donations were being used. I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful town called Kanab. It's breaktaking views will make you appreciate the work of God. I enjoyed all 3 tours that I went on ( the grand sanctuary tour, goat walking and pig tour, and bunny tour). I learned something about goats on the tour. You're not supposed to feed male goats a lot of fruit because it can cause lead to crystallization within their urethra. I fed some goats grapes and leaves at the vineyard because they acted hingry. But i will not do that again. I recommend that you spend two days so you can take all of the tours. The cafe provides a delicious $5 vegan lunch with a million dollar view. I love how the pigs have air conditioning on their houses to keep them cool. This sanctuary has a building to care for cats with Feline Leukemia Virus. They are no kill so any animal that ends up here has a home for life. And last but not least, this sanctuary is completely ran off volunteers and donations. So please donate so we can save them all.

My 4th visit to Best Friends but this time arranged a highly successful group volunteer visit for Sisters on the Fly with the BFAS Group Experience Team. Our hearts were filled with the BFAS mission and vision through volunteering, touring and making parrot enrichment toys. A 3-day event easily could have been a few days longer for us. Yummy, outdoor, vegan lunches at picturesque Angel's Village Cafe were 'icing on the cake.'

McDonald's is a well-known fast-food chain famous for its burgers and fries. The restaurant offers quick service, although some locations may have limited staff and require customers to order at kiosks. Despite this, the customer service can be exceptional, with friendly greetings and helpful staff. The food quality is typical of McDonald's, providing consistent value and taste. Some locations also offer outdoor dining options for pleasant weather.
I placed my order using my mobile phone and picked it up at the drive-through. The staff taking the order had a pleasant and welcoming tone, and the team at the drive-through window greeted us with smiles. They kindly directed us to a waiting spot since we had ordered a few customized items. When we received our food, the fries were fresh and hot, which made the experience even better! But i didn’t get my sauces for chicken nuggets. Others were just good.

The place was filthy! The women's restroom was dirty with stuff caked on thr floors and no toilet paper in either stall. I had to let them know and they didn't apologize for any inconvenience. The tables were all dirty, the floors had fries and trash on them. Ordered a meal and the only thing decent was the burger. For the wait the nuggets and fries were cold and dried up tough. They weren't busy either. Very disgusted!
Mamie Z — Google review
We were really disappointed with the customer service during our visit, particularly from an employee named Pablo. When he brought our food, there was no greeting or friendliness at all. Instead, he looked at us and said, “The fries are hot, if you burn yourself it’s not my problem.” This was shocking and felt unnecessarily rude. What made it worse was overhearing him speak to other customers in a completely different tone, saying “Be careful” instead. The contrast made us feel singled out and unwelcome. The food itself was fine, but the service completely overshadowed the experience.

A very small eating area, had to wait for one of the only 4 tables to come open, took forever to get 4 coffees. Order was accurate when it came up. The one hot coffee was so hot, after 10 minutes I threw it out as it was still so hot it was undrinkable.

The sausage muffin and sausage egg and cheese muffin were pretty good. That night I ordered 6 cheeseburgers and 2 cokes they were ok but for $20 no low quality cheeseburger is worth that price.

No one wanted to serve us. So had to use the machine to order. When we needed help, we pressed the button and waited a while until I went to the counter to ask for help and they looked at me like I was an inconvenience. Some lady who was on her break helped us in the end. Burgers were overly greasy. Not the friendliest McDonald’s at all!

This place was amazing, i was on my way to a Mexican restaurant and saw a group walk in. So I followed and that was a good decision. Felt welcomed as fast as entered, was taken care of so well (solo traveler). The food was delicious, I took the cheese burger which was amazing if you add some sauce to it. Ask for there one fries sauce to your fries, it was amazing according to me. Wish a had the time to try other things at the menu. You should really try it out! I forgot to take a picture of my burger (to hungry at the time).

We discovered a fantastic breakfast place while leaving town on our way back to Vegas. The restaurant had a somewhat sparse atmosphere, despite a good number of diners inside. It was unclear if they were experiencing staffing issues that day, as it seemed there was just one employee: a woman who greeted us, took our orders, and appeared to be preparing the meals herself. With so many customers to attend to, she did her best, but the service was quite slow. However, the wait was definitely justified because our breakfast was outstanding! My biscuits and gravy were exactly what I needed, with the gravy perfectly seasoned and the biscuits achieving the ideal balance of crispy and flaky.

Really nice country-style spot with a great Western vibe. The servers were super friendly and carried themselves with a lot of grace. The ribeye steak was fantastic — great quality and cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were way too salty though, and the soup they recommended was tasty but also way too salty, so that part could use some work. The Caesar salad was fresh and really good. Loved the atmosphere with the bar and all the TVs showing sports — made it a fun place to hang out.

I unexpectedly found this place while on a bike trip across the states. I have to say I was really surprised at how friendly and welcoming the owner and employees were. I was out looking for a place to watch some football on a Saturday and was surprised to see that Adrias had plenty of TV’s for sports and a really cool bar atmosphere. Adrias has a separate dining room with a bar towards the back of the property. The bar also serves up some great food. While I was there I had some great wings and a really good cheeseburger. The night before I came in and had a Ribeye steak sandwich that was extremely good. Fries were great also. I spent quite a few hours here on Saturday and got to know the owner Adria a little bit. She was a independent spirit but she made me feel like I was part of the family. She actually sat down and spent some time talking with me and made me feel welcome to the area. We talked about Kanab, and her previous experiences in the bar and restaurant industry. This is a hard working woman who really wants her business to succeed. I would recommend Adria’s to anyone who is in the Kanab area for some great food and some great times! She also handles large parties too! While I was here she had an event for a group from France with about 40-50 people and she handled it with ease. Dinner and entertainment was had by all. She even showed this group from France what country line dancing was. It was a hit. I cannot recommend this place enough as I will make it a point to come back whenever I get close. Thank you Adria for everything. I will always remember my time at your wonderful place.

We visited this place 2 nights in a row to watch sports and have some beer. Night 1 we had a Buffalo Chicken & Wedge Salad. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was good no complaints. The wedge was good had some of the lettuce not been old/browning. Had to leave about 1/4 on the plate because of this. Night 2 we only ordered fries but when they came out they were cold as if they had just been sitting in the kitchen for 15min. (We were the only guest in there) The service is ehhh the bar tender just disappeared at times and it would be delays in service. There is also another gentleman that walks around checking on you & others but its very weird because its unsure if he is in training, came from the restaurant part or what his actual roll is. So you hesitate to ask for refills or additional drinks. The music could be a little louder and lively upbeat to make me want to be there and not drag my energy down. The place has a lot of potential if they had good music, actually got people to engage with their outside game area(definitely missing music for that) host game nights or something.

Fast food restaurant

While the customer service may vary by location, many visitors have found the food to be well-cooked and reasonably priced. The dining areas are often described as clean and well-stocked with necessary items. Additionally, some customers have praised the convenience of Wendy's locations with ample parking space for various vehicles.
It was just a quick stop for supper before hitting our hotel but we were very pleased with this Wendy's location! Friendly young man took our order. (We refuse to use the kiosk). He was very pleasant and friendly. Later, came by and picked up our tray. Our nuggets and fries were piping hot and the strawberry swirl frosty was the perfect finish. ❤️💯

Food was fine, exactly what you would expect at any other Wendy's. However the food took an oddly long time. Waited awhile after adding a frosty. many of the workers had long uncontained hair left down and one of them in their face. didn't feel sanitary.

I went through the drive-through late at night and was helped by Carlos, and he absolutely went above and beyond. He was kind, professional, and made sure my order was perfect, even at such a late hour. You could tell he genuinely cared about giving great service. Carlos turned a quick stop into a really positive experience — y’all are lucky to have him!

One of the most dirty Wendy’s we have ever seen. They didn’t clean the tables or floor + the guy handling the register/food had dirty hands. The fries were cold but the burger was good.

Average Wendy's. Stopped for a quick breakfast on my way out of town the English muffin was hard so I tossed it in the trash and left. I do not recommend for breakfast. Hamburgers are still great though.

The fries at this place are excellent — definitely not inferior to McDonald’s

Sandwich shop
Subway is a popular counter-serve chain known for its customizable sandwiches and salads, offering healthy options. It's a go-to spot for quick, affordable bites during road trips. Customers have praised the friendly and efficient service at various locations, with staff members like Bobbi standing out for their attentiveness and patience. The restaurant also accommodates large orders, making it suitable for catering events.
Ordered online, went to pick up and added/changed things because of a picky child. Cory was wonderful with how annoying our order became. She had all the patience in the world for us, and expressed a desire to make sure everything was perfect! Our sandwiches were delicious, the staff were lovely, and the place was very clean. I really appreciate how she went over and above to make our experience everything we needed.
Meaghan K — Google review
This is for the manager that made the special order for me Monday night. Everything went as planned with it. Perfect. Thank you. My husband came back in Tuesday night to order again the same way and the girl at the counter would not work with him at all and refused to believe he was telling the truth. “Because that is not the way we do things”. So unfortunately you will lose our business for the next 3 days.
Doug M — Google review
I had a very bad experience at this Subway location. I ordered a sandwich with Italian Herbs & Cheese bread, but they gave me flatbread instead. When I noticed the mistake, I politely informed the staff and asked for a solution. Unfortunately, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering to fix it, she gave me attitude and made me feel like it was my fault for speaking up. There was no apology, no replacement, and no customer service at all. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the way the manager behaved was completely unprofessional. When customers are treated this way, it makes you not want to come back. Subway is supposed to be about fast service and quality, but this visit was the opposite. I’m very disappointed and hope the store management seriously improves their staff behavior and customer service standards.
Kaushal G — Google review
Came in at 12:30 June 28 and I asked for the vegetables on the side because we were going to take our sandwiches to the park. And the short white young man disrespectfully said no and was super rude and short and proceeded to ask how many vegetables did we need. I didn’t appreciate how disrespectful he was and the young lady working the counter also said no. I mentioned that this is the first and only subway that they’ve mentioned no on taking your vegetables on the side and I have been to this place before. Never going here again. The cold cut footlong was $11 and the steak and cheese was $12.

Very nice place to dine in and/or take out! Customer service is wonderful!
Merilyn S — Google review
Cory is the manager that these reviewers complain about. She is rude, dismissive of my questions, and told me that she manages two stores so she knows what she is doing. I simply asked her about switching a foot long into a salad, as advertised. Cory did not have a bad day as she was quite rude to us and the people in front of us but nice to some locals after us. The young girl at the counter was kind, professional, and reconciliate. Next time I want a salad I will go anywhere else. Cory may be the manager but she does not have manager skills.
Salena A — Google review
This place is a joke. I have actually been here a few times and it just gets worse. The first time we stopped in to see when they opened the next day because we wanted to take sandwiches on a hike. They told us "we open at 8 but we aren't usually here until 8:15." Huh? We came at 8:30 and no one was there. Had to go somewhere else. The last time we came the staff was rude. The bathroom doors were locked. We kept asking and they said someone must be in there. We finally went to knock and they finally unlocked the doors. What? The bathrooms were filthy. Then when we ordered they had the worst attitudes. It's not pleasant getting food from people that are probably going to put something in it. None of the people working there should be interacting with people. Will not be stopping again. Hopefully they all loose their jobs.
Celeste9613 — Google review
Best experience I've had at a Subway. Meet the manager Cory and half the staff. I'm picky about my subs, and they made sure I got my order the way I wanted it! That means a lot to me because I have kids that are picky eaters. The bathrooms were clean which also means a lot considering it's a tourist area. Definitely will return.

Moqui Cave, a sandstone erosion cave that once functioned as an illicit speakeasy, now houses a museum and gift shop filled with unique rock specimens. The stunning natural formation boasts a rich history that leaves visitors feeling astounded and humbled to stand within its walls. Nestled on the side of a mountain, the cave offers an incredible view for those who brave the hike up to it.
This place in itself is a cave that now serves as a museum. However the museum is the most impressive part. There are antique pieces from all over the world and rare pieces like mammoth teeth, shark teeth and dinosaur bones and imprints. I’m not into rocks or minerals but the glowing rocks collection is very impressive!! Also the bar from the 50’s is very cool. I’m so glad we made this decision to check it out!

Eclectic and disheveled is how I would sum it up. There's a little bit of this here, little bit of that there, and it all adds up for a delightful stop. Touristy? Sure, ig. But there is a bit of rich history and lore here as well. Take your time and read the stuff and look around. Double back as you may miss something on your first pass. A lot of geology throughout. Some Mormon stuff in the pictures by the gift shop. Yes, there is a large gift shop.
Kevin W — Google review
This place was a not to miss stop. Best gift shop in town. The history and the space was incredible. Took very good care of us. Worth every penny of the admission. Grabbed a cold drink there like John Wayne. Bought a couple of rocks. Highly recomend.

I try to go to this place as often as I possibly can. Really cool atmosphere. You can go get some coffee and sit and drink it and right in front of the cave. It's really cool. There's also a museum inside. It's $7 per adult to go walk through it, which is pretty cheap but I had no interest in walking through the museum but still pretty cheap way cool.

Cool little shop and historic feature. Dinosaur prints, fossils, rock collections, old money from around the world. Overall inexpensive neat little place to have a quick rest and maybe lunch.

A small cave turned into a charming little museum and gift shop. The welcoming owners are happy to share its history, and even happier to answer your questions.

We love quirky museums! Moqui Cave Museum was all of that! Unique. Historical with an interesting twist. Fun. Great artifacts. Rock collection. Artifact collection. Rock shop. Unique and fun gift shop. Enthusiastic staff and ownership. It's a must see if in the area! There is also a fun Cafe food truck with picnic tables right next door. The coffee was great! A family had what appeared to be delicious paninis!

New American restaurant
Sego Restaurant is an upscale dining spot in Kanab, offering a refined take on New American cuisine. The menu features shareable plates with a diverse range of options, from charcuterie to duck lo mein and bone-in prime rib. One must-try appetizer is the elote fritter, bursting with flavors of fire-roasted corn and topped with chipotle aioli, queso cotija, and cilantro.
Nothing against Kanab, it's a nice tourist town but we were surprised to find a restaurant of this caliber. Especially since it's not a chain restaurant which Utah is so fond of. We were staying at the attached hotel and we were tired from driving. After looking over the menu at the front desk, we thought we'd give it a try but we didn't have any expectations. As a "silver haired couple" we arrived when they opened. So no waiting. I suggest reservations if you visit during the prime tourist season or if you have a large party. All the employees were a pleasure to interact with, including our server Sam. She was very busy, but maintained her friendly personality throughout. Even providing the background of the restaurant and chef/owners. Everything was clean, comfortable and the price is appropriate for quality. The food is served similar to tapas but the servings are a bit larger so you can share. We ordered four plates plus dessert and we left full but delightfully so. I also had the Aun No Muerto drink and it was delicious, the Mr. enjoyed the peach hard lemonade and enjoyed it as well. We started with the asparagus, I enjoyed this way more than I should have! The way it was sliced, the sauce and nuts truly brought out the flavor. Then we had the gnocchi chef special, gnocchi made from masa! Amazing. Our last two were Chicken Satay and Street Food XOI. We loved both of these as well but my favorite was the way the sticky rice was prepared. The crunchy texture along with the sauce and egg, amazing! For dessert we enjoyed the cookie sundae and chocolate souffle. Both were delicious, including the strawberry heart surrounding the souffle. 😁 We may have to visit Kanab just for the purpose of dining here, rather than waiting until we have to drive through.
Tawnia W — Google review
Food was delicious, service was great, a group of 10 had 15 different meals brought out and shared plates like appetizers. Ahhh mazing. Who knew this little town had this phenomenal restaurant.
Robert B — Google review
After 2 straight nights of somewhat disappointing meals in Kanab, we were not expecting much. Asian fusion can be tricky and usually end up on either end of the spectrum, nothing in between. After taking the first bite, Sego is definitely at the good end. They call this tapas (progressive?), smaller then usual portions but far bigger than the normal tapas size, perfect for us after hours of hiking. We ordered a few different things just to try the different flavors, and they were so good we couldn't stop eating. I won't get into every details of each dish so you can get your own little surprises when you dig in. But they taste exactly how you would expect them to taste from looking at the ingredients. They stay about 75% true to the original dish in terms of seasoning and ingredients but with a few very tasty twists, such as the black beans in the broccolini. The Sego Noodle is basically the Singapore noodles but with rice noodles, the curry flavor was perfect, and the crab in it was incredible. So try the duck. Sometime it is very hard to get these fried rice and wok fried noodles with out a lot oil, because it is needed to get the noodles separated, but the amount of oil here was perfect. You don't see much oil at the bottom after you finish the food. I have to say that this was a very good surprise for our last night of stay and if we come by Kanab again we will definitely come back here for more. One suggestion, don't sit outside facing west in the evening, because the sun will do more than just keeping your food hot. 😂

Sego Restaurant is located on the first floor of a Kanab hotel. Don’t be mislead by the casual décor and moderate prices. We were amazed at the gourmet presentation and quality of the food. Its chef won Utah chef of the year award, plus many other awards—all well-deserved! Service was excellent. Our dinner was the best meal we’ve had all year! It’s helpful to make reservations in advance.
Eileen K — Google review
Exciting menu, dishes were cooked perfectly, and all packed with excellent flavours. Highly recommend the duck and noddles, and asparagus side. The only downside to this experience was the fact that we were seated out of view in an otherwise quiet restaurant as we were dressed in hiking gear (even though we had booked in advance as it was a special occasion), otherwise, we would have rated Sego full marks. Poor decision from management, but the food certainly made up for it and, otherwise, the service was good. Definitely stop by when in the area for a very reasonable, delicious meal…although make sure you look the part!
Jessica S — Google review
Definitely the best restaurant in Kanab, really enjoyed the experience and the food! Shared plate was a fun experience. Definitely make reservations ahead though, we were lucky to get a table without reservations, but had to wait an hour and a half (totally our fault, just didn’t want to commit to a reservation so we winged it) but just went back to our rental home which was 3 minutes away. For 2 adults we ordered 4 shared plates and they were generous enough for us to share half of each plate and pack up the other half to enjoy the next night! We enjoyed the Prickly Pear Margaritas very much and had the Banana Bread Pudding for dessert. Shared the Artichoke Mushroom Foccacia, Fried Rice, Duck and Arizona Beef. Absolutely delicious and generous portions! Reheated beautifully and was something quick and delicious to look forward to the next night after a long day on the motorcycle ☺️

This place is just amazing! We were on our way looking for a place to dine after coming back from Zion Park, decided to walk in after looking on the menu. The restaurant is located inside the canyon hotel and it serves many small dishes to share. We were a party of five the hostess recommended taking between 6-8 dishes. We ordered Ribs , fillet Satay chicken, fried rice, asparagus and a Salad. Each dish was wonderfully cooked and served, tastes were delicious, delicate and spicy were needed. And after that the desert was amazing, beautifully served and delicious!! So if your in the area our even 100 miles away it really worth the drive. Thank you to the Chef and team for making our visit perfect!

The restaurant is known for its diverse offerings such as Thai curry, Japanese bento lunch boxes, halibut fillets, sweet and sour pork plate with noodles and rice, chick'n coconut curry, and house salads.
Asian in me was craving for rice after a long day at Zion. Had Two thai veg curries. Both of those were amazing. Felt so good to have such a heartful meal.

Worst yellow curry I have ever had. It didn’t even taste like curry. It tasted more like gravy. The portion size was extremely excessive. My dish had an entire block of tofu in it, and vegetables were soggy. It was not freshly prepared at all. I would not recommend this establishment.
Rebecca E — Google review
Absolutely the worst experience because of Angela’s behavior. Extremely rude and disrespectful to customers. We placed an order for pickup and were told it would be ready in 30-40 minutes. Even after waiting 50 minutes, when we politely asked, Angela rudely told us we’d have to wait another 20 minutes if we wanted our food. She started threatening to cancel our order. When I questioned why she even accepted the order in the first place, she loudly shouted in the kitchen, instructed the cook to cancel it, and told me she had refunded the order. The way she behaved was completely unprofessional, arrogant.

Great place to eat! It is a little on the pricey side but I feel like it’s quality food. I liked that they asked what level of spice you wanted. We got the General Tso combo $20 and I got Orange Chicken entree which came with rice. They carry pepsi products with free refills but had coke and Dr Pepper in a can which was $2. We each received about 3-3.5 cups of chicken which is enough for left overs!

Brown Box Bakeshop offers a delightful array of sweet treats, from homemade ice cream to freshly baked cookies and cinnamon rolls. Customers rave about the generous amount of cheese in the sandwiches and the perfect balance of flavors in the double-chocolate chip cookies. While some have experienced slow service at times, others praise the friendly staff and fun decor.
Grilled cheese and how made soup. It's so about the comfort. We had the poper grilled cheese and the tomato basil soup . Both were excellent. A great place gluten free and vegan choices. Don't miss the ice cream and cookies.

This was my first time going here and l am so happy l did! I had the grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. They use two different kinds of cheese, nice and gooey when you pull the pieces of bread apart. I had it on sourdough bread. I also got a chocolate chip cookie with my sandwich. They also offer soups and salads, cookies and ice cream. They have pop in bottles. There is seating inside and outside. We went in at lunch time and we still found places to sit. There are bathrooms inside as well.

Super yummy and warming. The grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato basil soup really hit the spot. The Kanooki was sooo good. The staff was supper friendly. I really liked the Popper grilled cheese sandwich. Besides a ton of gooey cheese it has a jalapeño cream cheese and pepper flakes which gives it a little kick. What is a Kanooki? It’s a cookie in a skillet topped with ice cream and other toppings. You can choose up to three types of cookie dough, two ice creams and other toppings. Great for dessert or if you just want a wonderful treat!

We were passing through Kanab on our travels and wanted a small snack - and the Brown Box Cafe made it not less than perfect! It all started with a friendly smile from Terri. She and her team are doing an excellent job! We had two grilled cheese sandwiches - the „Caprese“ and the „Gourment“. Both were crispy & delicious. For dessert we decided to go for a „Kanookie“. What a treat! Fresh cookie dough (under)baked in a hot skillet, topped with a scoop of ice cream and a topping. Absolutely finger licking delicious! The place itself has charm, warmth & lovely signs with meaning. This place deserves nothing but a straight 5-Star review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lobo M — Google review
Had some ice cream. It was pretty good. Not the best due to not as creamy as I like ice cream, but still good. The cookie and ice cream is good, but very sweet. I think if they made the cookie dough a little "salty" to offset the sweetness of the ice cream, it would elevate it quite a bit!

A Must-Visit in Kanab! Had the most wonderful dinner at Brown Box Cafe in Kanab! This cozy little spot has such warm, comforting vibes—it felt like a hidden gem. The grilled sandwiches, soups, and healthy salads were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste the care they put into their food. But the real star of the show? The Kanookie—a homemade cookie served warm in a skillet, topped with ice cream and all the best fixings. It’s hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. Don’t leave without trying it! Service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Kanab!

This review is only about the coffee. I stopped in for a coffee and got a cold brew. It was extremely bitter so much so that I had to put in 2 sweetener packages. I thought about throwing it out but decided I paid for it and I would drink it in the end. If you like gas station coffee, then you might not mind the coffee here. I'm a bit of a coffee snob. The rest of the food looked good in people seem to be quite happy with the taste of the ice cream while I was there. The staff was friendly and welcoming. If you're in the mood for a good tasting coffee, I would skip this place. If you're after ice cream and other eats, it looks like this is a pretty good place to try out.

Nature & Parks
Jacob Hamblin Park is a community park located in a picturesque desert canyon setting. It offers various amenities such as playgrounds, splash pads, picnic pavilions, BBQ areas, and fire pits. The park features baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and an extensive playground with slides and climbing structures for kids of all ages. Visitors can enjoy ultimate frisbee games on the green space or explore nearby Squaw Trailhead.
Beautiful local park with plenty of shade trees, grassy areas, thoughtful landscaping, nestled before red rock mountains. Playgrounds and water. Extremely clean and well maintained.
Stacey S — Google review
So the park itself is really fantastic. We really love the circular sort of layout and the way that you could pretty much see every area of the park from any area that you’re sitting for your children are always within your view. The only suggestion is for some awnings over the park benches And for an awning near the splash pad and more seating by the splash pad benches. There’s very little seating over there and very little shade. It would be really nice for parents watching their kids at the splash pad especially parents are very young children to have a place to sit like some picnic tables or something over in that Area. And then the bunches that surround the place structure are rarely in shade maybe for like an hour first thing in the morning, but all afternoon they’re in full sun, and it is really difficult to sit and watch your children from metal benches in full sign in southern Utah! So awnings for the benches and an awning and more seating by the splash pad, but we love every other aspect of this park! Including the proximity to the pool and the proximity to the parking lot and the big open field and the lovely little desert garden and the biking paths and all of the covered picnic areas that are sort of up by the basketball courts and stuff and we drive all the way from Page Arizona to enjoy this park which is over an hour, there’s always plenty of parking and there’s a water fountain where you can refill your water bottles which is also really fantastic. It would be nice if there is maybe some vending machines for snack or drink options that are not inside the pool area and then like I mentioned earlier the Awnings over the seating areas.

Playground is fantastic with shock absorbing rubber mulch, tons of slides and climbing structures all ages of kids want to play on. Swings are fantastic and bathrooms are available on either side of the park. Dogs are not allowed at the park. Pavilions covered many picnic areas which were perfect shady spots. Green space allowed ultimate frisbee games. Four baseball fields are nearby too. Surrounding cliffs are picturesque, and we walked over to the Squaw Trailhead too.

When we did order the girl who ignored us rolled her eyes and whispered to the girl, “charge for that extra” even though the girl said she’d add that without a fee. Lacking customer service and passive aggressive behavior. You shouldn’t have a job with customers if your attitude is nasty towards them

Loved loved our coffee, breakfast sandwiches & muffins! I had an iced toasted hazelnut latte, a bacon/egg/cheese English muffin sandwich & a blueberry muffin. The latter was definitely my favorite part, but all were yummy. My husband had the burrito & loved it.

This was such an amazing find during our time here. The ladies who run the shop are so friendly and kind. The food is amazing. Today was our last day in the area and I meant to take pictures of the breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and cheddar (real cheese!) croissants) but they were too good and we were too eager to consume. The espresso is amazing! I normally have just americanos (which they did so perfectly) but finally tried a flavored latte and the orange maple was so surprisingly delicious! Not too sweet but the flavors were so complementary and perfect for fall. I also tried the orange truffle (also awesome) and my husband only ever got the white praline because it was the first thing he tried and never varied. Ask about their cheesecakes - we tried pumpkin cheesecake and cinnamon rolls (more than once)

This spot is a must!!! The breakfast burrito and strawberry banana smoothie was amazing! My boyfriend had a salted caramel iced coffee that he said was really good. Staff is super friendly. It was one of the only places in Kanab open at 7 on a Wednesday. Definitely recommend if you are staying in Kanab or driving through.

They were out of pastries by noon when we arrived, but otherwise fantastic coffee, and they're in the same building/ room as a small outdoor gear shop (North Face, Hydroflask, a few packs, etc) and a tour company. My kids found a kid-size picnic table with toys, and everyone seemed cool with us hanging out here for a bit to play, so I was happy despite the lack of pastries! Neat place! I suspect it's geared at people going on tours, but it's also fun for those who aren't!

The girl was really nice! They have matcha, even though it’s not the menu! Almond, oat, and soy milk too! Was throughly impressed! I needed it for the 48 degree weather first thing that morning in Kanab. Lol

Great break place! It's a small trailer, don't drive by, has two windows, one for drive through, one for pedestrians, it's right at the road. Friendly ladies serving you, good coffee. A small bench for two to sit out front.

Angel Village Cafe offers a delightful dining experience with tasty food and a great salad bar. The buffet-style service keeps things stocked, and the atmosphere is simple yet charming, with a stunning view of Angels Canyon from the dining patio. Open for lunch every day, they offer a $5 vegan lunch buffet with various dessert options, soup rotations, and fresh baked bread. The menu changes daily, ensuring variety. The staff is accommodating to dietary needs if you call ahead.
The BEST tasting food in all of Kanab and the most affordable! $5 per person (no tax or added fees!) for an all you can eat buffet. My husband and I aren't vegan whatsoever, but I promise you, we have eaten here probably 7 times and have LOVED every single meal we've had and each time has been different. Also for a great cause, love supporting this organization because of everything they do for the animals, workers, and volunteers. You'd be remiss if you didn't eat here and check out Best Friends at least once. Oh and on Thursdays they do announcements about the animals there and sometimes an animal story outside of their organization! Since I don't have any pictures of food, here are some of the kitties and pups we were able to love on while visiting ❤️

You literally cannot beat $5 for an AYCE salad bar alone — with fresh veggies, chickpeas/quinoa/edamame, croutons, and diverse dressing choices. Came on chicken parm day and it was fantastic! There was some iffy hummus as well, and the cake for dessert wasn't the best, but the salad + entree were fantastic. Also has solid coffee and tea options. So pleasantly surprised by this place!!!! Lovely views from the dining area.

We were visiting Kanab and stumbled upon this gem. Angels cafe is operated by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. As a family of vegans and animal rights activists this was the best holiday we had because not only was the all vegan food delicious and sumptuous but the whole atmosphere was super warm and friendly. To top it off it’s just $5 per person for the unlimited lunch buffet which includes salad, main course and dessert. We loved their food so much that we purchased their cookbook! After lunch we spent all day at the sanctuary with rescue animals. Today we had the best thanksgiving meal at this place as well. Coming back again soon!

Wow this restaurant is heaven on earth! 5$ for an all you can eat vegan buffet! Unbelievable! The salad bar was insane and so were the main courses. The menu changes regularly. The dessert was very good and there was coffee and tea. The terrace was stunning. I wish i could have come back during my trip. The only thing to note is that it is open on a very tight schedule around lunch! You have to try this healthy spot!

We were staying at roadhouse and mercantile in Kanab and they gifted us with two free lunches at Angel village cafe.I was pleasantly surprised with the vegan street tacos and enchiladas! The salad bar was full of fresh vegetables and dressings. Coffee bar and cold drinks(extra$),water and dessert. Indoor seating with a view same as outdoor seating. The view on the patio of the Kanab mountains had me feeling on top of the world. Stunning view. All of that for only $5.
Selanie A — Google review
Open for lunch everyday 11:30am - 1pm. $5 vegan lunch buffet with a million $ view. Variety of dessert options, soup rotations, and fresh baked bread. Menu changes daily so check the website before your visit. The salad bar is unrivaled in the area and the staff is great. If you have any dietary questions or concerns, you can just call ahead and they will do their best to accommodate. Free coffee available from 7:30am-2pm, so even if you're not going for lunch I would encourage everyone visiting the Sanctuary to at least go and see the view from the patio. It is quite dramatic.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Wire Pass Trailhead. Not quite as popular as Little Hollywood Land: Museum, Trading Post & Chuckwagon Cookout, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 9 hours.

Hiking Trails
The Wire Pass Trailhead is a scenic hiking area with a 3.4-mile trail leading to the longest continuous slot canyon in the United States. The hike down into the slot canyon offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making it an enjoyable experience for hikers of all ages and abilities. While there may be some unmarked sections along the way, following the wash will lead directly into the canyon.
Great trail to a really nice slot canyon. Who doesn't love a slot canyon? Some nice petroglyphs at the end for a reward. $6 to park at the trail head. Road was in great shape, and very few people on the trail. One tight place with a stump lodged in the canyon, and one ladder to navigate. A couple of other small drops to hop down.
Chandler S — Google review
It is a must go. It’s about 3 miles out and back. A beautiful slot canyon. You get a glimpse of what a slot canyon would look like as you go further into Buckskin Gulch at the confluence. The sun rays going through the crack below give an amazing reflection in the rocks. I see a lot of people bringing their children there.
An N — Google review
Wire Pass is a great option for a slot canyon experience mixed with petroglyphs, high red rock walls and open space rock formations. There are a couple of ladders but you can enjoy most of the trail avoiding these by going around. Once you start on the trail stick to the main path and it will turn into a slot canyon. Avoid trail going up and to the right as you walk. The drive to the trail is down a fairly long fire road that almost any car can navigate except if it had rained a lot.

1. I left my reservation form in my hotel, but had it saved on my phone, so pulled it up and wrote the number on paper and put it under my windshield. A woman volunteer was there checking cars for passes and said this was ok. One is supposed to sign in in a book and I did not see that, by the restrooms, so didn't sign in. Plenty of parking. 2. The trail is across the road from the parking lot. It was easy walking on the sand, and fun to see the flowers and bushes. Soon a tight turn to the left is fun and you get closer to the rocks. 3. Before one enters the slot, the rocks on the left are fun to hike up on, similar to a Wave experience. 4. The slot is great, and all that you came for. The ladder short and easy. Quite a thrill. But the canyon is a litle short. 5. At Buckskin, if you are going right, there is a human tendency to go to the center of the space and look north up the canyon to the left, but then you will be walking in rather dificult sand and rocks. It is better at Buckskin to stay close to the rightside wall, which is where the trail is, and not venture into the middle of the open space until the return. 6. Buckskin going south had lots of rocks one had to step on, and had some water, so I turned around. We loved Wire Pass.
Seth W — Google review
This slot canyon is amazing. The slot itself is fairly easy and has 3 vertical obstacles that my 80 and 79yr old grandparents were able to navigate (with help) though they're hardened country folk. Do be sure to venture off the trail where you can as there are some hidden areas that are very much like the Wave without all the hubbub and fuss. Very climbable areas though the rock can be a bit slick. Slot is amazing and ends in a T shaped oasis that is its own amazing destination.

Wire Pass is most popularly hiked as a day hike around the Kanab UT area. Wire Pass is also often used as a beginning or end point for overnight trips through Buckskin Gulch and Paria Canyon. Overnight trips require a Paria Canyon Overnight Permit, which must be reserved in advance and are in limited supply. For more information, detailed maps, and current conditions, contact the Paria Contact Station, the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument Visitor Center in Kanab, UT, or the Arizona Strip Interagency Visitor Center in St. George, UT. To access the trailhead, drive 8 miles on a dirt road from Highway 89 about 37 miles east of Kanab UT. This dirt road (House Rock Valley Road) is unpaved and minimally maintained. Best to use a high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle. During the rainy season or winter months, the road may become impassable even with 4WD vehicles. Wire Pass is a short (4 miles return) drainage that joins the Buckskin Gutch slot canyon of about 12- miles in length. Permits are required for day-use the fee being $6 per person.
Doug H — Google review
This is absolutely amazing! In and out about 3.5 miles, if you are in Page instead of paying $160 per person to see the upper Antelope Canyon, and has to follow the group, this place is like the Antelope but has much fun, and only $6 per person.
Amy Y — Google review
You have to get a permit before you go!!! I only learned this when I looked it up on ChatGPT, otherwise a small sign on the dusty road tells you that and even though you can check in onsite at the kiosk in the parking lot, the WiFi is spotty. I recommend doing it ahead of time. The trail is in the full sun to start with but I think it’s completely fine and worth going! It’s impressive and overwhelming in a good way once you get to the canyon! I loved it.

Dark Sky RV Campground is a picturesque site just outside of town, perfect for camper vans and RVs. The well-maintained campground offers stunning views of the stars from all its sites. The facilities include heated floor bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, ensuring a comfortable stay. The owners and hosts are welcoming and provide valuable recommendations for local hikes and attractions.
Our stay at Dark Sky definitely raised the bar for what a great campground should be. We loved our site and the views! But more importantly, we loved the social gathering spaces. After our day’s adventures, we found ourselves spending more time sitting in the wonderful covered area or sitting by the watering hole playing games, drinking beverages, visiting Monte (resident turtle) and the goldfish. Everything was so relaxing and enjoyable after hours of hiking and exploring. I can’t forget to mention the incredible bathroom facilities. As much as I love taking a shower in my RV, their bathrooms and outside showers were amazing! The hosts were extremely friendly, always available, great to talk with, and had many great social activities.

This place is just beyond the best spot. Not only are the views spectacular but all the amenities are done with such special attention to detail. Best campground shower ever!! We enjoyed the public spaces every day! We used the grill to prepare one of our meals and it was so nice to have this space available. Sitting by the pond and enjoying the scenery is so special. This is for sure my happy place!! Thank you to Rick, Meryl and family for creating such a wonderful place!! Jen and Rob Newton

We stayed at Dark Sky Campground this past week for one night and were sorry that we could not stay longer. This is a fantastic RV park with a very unique vibe. Lots of great amenities such as heated tile floors in the shower rooms, propane fire pits and pergolas and or shade sails with seating at each site, lots of community space for getting to know the others in the park, beautiful scenery all around. It was a great experience from our initial contact enquiring about sites, through the days before check in, during our stay, and even after we checked out. The communication and service were top notch. Jaye and Ashlie obviously love their work as Camp Hosts, they go all out to be helpful and accommodating. If we are ever in the area again, we plan to spend more time here.

This place is amazing! We stayed in the Luxury Campsites with no black water access, which was fine as there is an amazing bathhouse in the loop. Showers were fancier than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in. There was a place to do our dishes at the bathhouse and a very clean grill for guests to use just outside. There is a small supply store with a few necessities, also with beer, wine and ice cream. The stars were amazing on the nights there were no clouds. We will be back next time we come through AZ and UT.

My wife and I have been traveling in our van and outside of state and national parks, the majority of RV parks leave something to be desired. Everyone is so close to one another and little thought has gone into creating an experience for visitors. It's a place to park, dump, get water, and electricity. That's about it. Thus we find ourselves wanting to boondock more often but then you have no community and easy and clean bathrooms and showers (even though w have both in our van) can be hard to come by. To our surprise, Dark Sky was completely different. While the sites are fairly close in proximity to one another, it just doesn't feel like it. Bathrooms are super clean and simple yet modern. The bath house you can take an indoor or outdoor shower and all the bathrooms have heated floors which is nice when it's chilly. They have a lovely community area where people actually gather to chat and share adventures. There's also a store that has local products, eggs, bread, ... and it's all reasonably priced and works on the honor system which just feels nice to be in an honest and trusting community. We sat by the pond oasis and went on a hike with some cute baby goats which was fun. The owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and make sure your needs are being met. We were only there one day and we have already scheduled more time there next week. Just a place you want to be and a group of people you want to spend time with, get to know, and help them be successful. I'd highly recommend this place.
Ddobier — Google review
We booked this campground because we found the website and it looked like a place that we would like to stay. Dark Sky and all of the Owners and staff exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a great site with a nice view to the south. We loved the sitting area with the lounge chairs and fireplace. What we found very nice was the local businesses that Dark Sky brings in for entertainment/education. We went on a goat hike with a fifth generation local who educated us on the local history while we walked with her goats and daughter. There was a sound bath arranged with another local business who also does massage, art, and makes scents. One night there was a stargazing event with Stellar Vista Observatory, a local group raising funds to build an Observatory. Of course the social is not to be missed if you like good food and good company. Dark Sky was a unique experience on our journey through southern Utah. Kanab has so much to offer beyond the obvious access to nearby parks and sites.

This place is pure magic. You feel welcomed the moment you arrive, it has such a warm, friendly vibe. The group area is perfect for hanging out and meeting other campers, and the views… honestly, they’re unbeatable. You can tell it’s family owned because everything feels so cared for and genuine. Oh and the bathroom suites - just wait until you see those!! This was our second visit, and it definitely won’t be our last! Thank you again for such an incredible time.

This place takes the cake! We stayed for one night in 2023 and knew we had to make it back. It was beyond worth the trip from TX! The place is incredible - but even better, the campground hosts and owners. They are personable, caring, interactive with the guests and truly care about the experience their guests have. I've been recommending this place to everyone I can! We had an awesome experience and will be back. I can't emphasis the details they think of enough. It's unmatched at other campgrounds. We will 100% be back. You can't just look at pictures - you have to experience and I hope you all do!

Dreamland Safari Tours offers a wide range of guided tours in southern Utah, with 30 different options to choose from. Visitors can explore the property on their own, join tours, volunteer, and dine at the onsite vegan restaurant. Guests have praised the company's focus on safety, stewardship of the land, and educational experiences. The Coyote South Butte tour is highly recommended for its stunning views and knowledgeable guide named Orion.
We randomly entered into Dreamland Safari Tours. But, we got lucky to meet Sarah (I hope got the same correct). She was an excellent person and so helpful. Her patience in explaining this is next level. She not only accommodated our request for the tour with in 20 minutes. Also gave a very good deal for Peekaboo and White waves tour. Within 10 to 15 minutes of booking, the car arrived with the tour guide. Our guide was Andrea she was an excellent driving as well as great tour-guide. She has a lot of patience and showed us each and everything, also she brought water and snacks as well. We could see her passion in showing and explaining each and everything in the canyon. I would highly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours. Thank you once again you are the Best.

We participated in a full day tour of White Pocket. This was our second trip with Dreamland Safari Tours. Also, our second trip with senior guide, Andrea Jasper. The company is extremely responsive and well run. Andrea is a superb guide with excellent driving skills, guiding skills, and extensive knowledge about the geology, history, and plants of the area around Kanab. I highly recommend.

We got lucky and got permits to The Wave. Our guide Andrea was fantastic. Andrea easily weighed up the group’s capabilities and catered the hike accordingly. We got to see much more than expected and enjoyed the experience immensely. We passed a few hikers who did not go with a guide who missed out on a few of the highlights as nothing is signposted and there really are not any trails to follow. So, if you do get a permit consider going with Dreamland Safari.

So thrilled with our experience with Dreamland Safari Tours. We took 2 of their tours--Buckskin Gulch tour and White Pocket tour. Our guides were exceptional. We felt like friends by the end of our tours. Marjorie took us on a tour to Buckskin Gulch and was an enormous source of information, and her love of the land really added to our whole experience. She went out of her way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment, and always made us feel like it was a personal tour. She brought to light so much that we would've never seen on our own. And always helped with photos, even when we weren't expecting. At White Pockets, Shane was our expert guide. He also added to our whole experience by pointing out details that really added to our appreciation of the land. He always had great photo advice and was so helpful with my hiking abilities. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours. Majorie and Shane made these tours unforgettable. Would love to visit again one day.

The car was a big, clean, comfortable, well-maintained Toyota that easily overcame all the obstacles. Both are very careful drivers. I have had the privilege of visiting multiple slot canyons in the southwest and the guided hike through the Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon with Brent from Dreamland Safari Tours is the best tour that I have ever received in a Slot Canyon. Brent was an absolutely incredible guide! He shared so much amazing information and took wonderful photos and also shared his knowledge of other beautiful places in the Kanab area. I learned so much about the incredible geology and history of the area. It made me appreciate the beauty of the Slot Canyon even more than if I had just walked through it myself. I learned a lot about the fossils that are there and the people who originally lived there. I was most shocked by the impacts that the flash floods create and how much change can happen in such a short period of time. I look forward to bringing others to Peek-a-boo slot Canyon and having them enjoy the same experience with Dreamland Safari Tours.

Brent from Dreamland Safari lead a fantastic tour to Peekaboo Canyon and White Wave. His knowledge of the canyon is impressive and we've learned a lot in addition to enjoying the mesmerizing beauty. He told us the geology from the grand staircase to the formation of the canyon, as well as recent changes such as the effect of recent floods, changes in the depth of the canyon floor, Anasazi cultures and artifacts, plants, etc. His photographic skills is amazing. I came back with precious pictures. He is very skillful driving on the sandy dirt road. We took a somewhat challenging but manageable hike on the white wave and got an extra bonus of petroglyph on the cliff. The trip is unforgetable. Highly recommended!

Dreamland tours and our tour guide (Ben) did an amazing job for our white pocket day trip in early November. Ben was friendly, knowledgeable and you could really really tell he enjoyed sharing the area with us. He also adjusted the tour to our physical abilities, pointed out sticky spots, was pseudo cameraman with all the great photo angles and also able to squeeze in a slot canyon! He’s absolutely made the trip!! …Oh and the turkey sandwiches they packed for lunch were reallly good too.

Sun-n-Sand Motel is a family-run establishment in Kanab, offering simple yet comfortable rooms, some with kitchenettes. The motel provides free breakfast and BBQ facilities for guests to enjoy. Each room comes with a seating area, cable TV, and a private bathroom. The friendly staff ensures a warm welcome and the homemade muffins are an added treat.
Had a very pleasant two nights here. Place is a bit older but well kept and the beds were clean and comfortable. Manager was very friendly and accommodating.

This place is a real retro gem. Its charm is preserved, for sure, but it's a little worn down just the same. We didn't mind especially for the price. The woman checking us in was so nice and clearly cares a lot about this place, it shows in the cleanliness of the beds and linens, the parking lot is well maintained, the office and coffee area is in order. A building is a building, it will show its age. Our only issue was the door not fitting the frame properly, it didn't really "lock" properly and there was no hotel/motel style lock on the door either. We didn't mind, again because we brought our own protection LOL but I can definitely see it being a safety issue.
L.A K — Google review
Super rundown. We got the last room available and I'm glad it had 2 beds, because one of them was in rougher shape than I was comfortable sleeping in. The room had stains, an odor, really needed to be vacuumed, I think the TV was on a timer, so I kept waking up to it being off, and you could hear everything happening outside and in the next room over. The shower head was unreasonably low, to the point where I think it was unusable, and the faucet dripped. The room had a space heater and a fan which is nice if the weather outside isn't too hot or cold, since I don't think you can adjust the room temp.

We are from England and have never stayed in an American motel so not sure if all of them are the same. It was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for. The A/C was so noisy we couldn't sleep with it on. We could not find the controls so went to the reception desk and was shown the switch, which was OUTSIDE. The electric sockets had been painted over so our plug kept falling out. We had to prop it up to get it to stay in. There was no bin. The toilet paper and the tissues both ran out and there were no spares. There was a chest of drawers but it was so old the draws would not open. The Lino in the toilet was worn and the carpet had seen better days. The whole room looked like it had not been updated since it was first built. It's only redeeming feature was that the bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. I would never stay there again.

Willow Canyon Outdoor is a unique stop that combines an outdoor store, bookstore, and coffee shop all in one. The store offers a great selection of camping and hiking supplies, clothing, and the latest technology. Visitors can also find books on various topics and locally made items like beautiful cards. The owner, an ex-geologist, is knowledgeable about the area and happy to provide information on nearby destinations such as Zion and Bryce.
What would make a great outfitter and adventure store even better? Add an excellent coffee shop right inside! While they make you an awesome coffee browse through a wonderfully curated outdoor store with your favorite brands like Patagonia and Camel-bak! We found Utah-branded Nalgene bottles, Osprey water reservoirs for extra hydration on sun-exposed hikes, and rubber tips for our LEKI trekking poles—perfect for protecting the sensitive sediment in nearby national and state parks. The store is well stocked with trusted brands like Camelbak, Nathan, UltraSpire, Patagonia, and more—everything you need to fuel your next adventure. Beyond the gear, the shop radiates a welcoming, family-operated vibe. They also showcase local artwork and even serve hand-crafted espresso ☕️, which was the perfect pick-me-up for a day outdoors. We had the pleasure of meeting Melanie, one of the co-owners, whose personal experience with backpacking and ultrarunning makes her an incredible resource for anyone planning an adventure. She was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely kind and friendly, which made our stop feel extra special. If you’re planning a trip to Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Capitol Reef, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, or any of the countless trails, slot canyons, and caves this region has to offer, I highly recommend stopping by Willow Canyon Outdoor first. It’s the perfect blend of gear, local charm, and expert advice that creates lasting memories for your journey.

I had a chai latte with some pumpkin spice, and it was really good! The chai was nice and spicy, and the drink wasn't way too sweet. We also got a decaf latte that my companion really liked! They had some vegan milks available, too. we liked the book selection, and we liked that they had some vegan backpacking food available.

Came for the coffee, stayed for the vibes! The staff was super friendly, the shop was very clean, and the coffee was fantastic! They have a small selection of boutique outdoor items, books, and local art which was awesome. If you sit on the back patio there is a very friendly outdoor cat that will hang out with you while you drink your coffee!

They are amazing! My husband, daughter and I were in need of additional blankets for our camping trip in Bryce Canyon and pointed us in the right direction to make sure we had a great trip. 10 out of 10 recommend and will definitely stop here when we are back through on our next trip.

Came for coffee but left with a tent…. Awesome place, I’ve been in the US for three weeks and had the best coffee so far here. We were pleasantly surprised by the outdoor section with premium gear and the cute book section. Very hospitable hosts, 10/10 experience.

Stopped here to get the 30 minute orientation the morning before going on The Wave hike. The orientation was nicely done. There is a ton of hiking info here for locations in a couple hour radius.

Came here to do orientation for The Wave. Got an advanced permit and attended the orientation at 8:30AM. They also have a gift shop with really good prices. They prefer cash so bring cash if you are interested to get something to buy. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Kanab is a wonderful area to visit and I was amazed at this visitors center’s display, merchandise and access to information. Bob is an amazing ambassador for his community. Thanks!

Arrived into Kanab late on a Sunday evening. On Monday we wanted to check for local areas to hike. The BLM office was closed so we drove around and found the Kane County Visitor Center. I regret that we misplaced the card of the gentlemen who helped up, because he was a huge help. We have 3 children ranging from 9-13. They “love” to hike (jk). We had a rough idea where we wanted to go. The gentlemen helped us narrow down options and made additional recommendations that were awesome. He provided us with maps and times of the day we should take the hikes. The recommendations made our trip memorable.

Amazing place, super nice staff. Bob is a legend and helped us get oriented for day trips around the area, even notated a map for us!!! Definitely worth a visit

A great location for information about nearby attractions. The information center employs knowledgeable staff that like sharing the secrets of Southern Utah. So, feel free to ask all your questions. Recently updated displays have gorgeous photos of the most popular attractions with info about each. This is a fun way to see what you can expect during your visit. There are maps and packets about attractions and local companies offering tours. You can also get recommendations about dining and lodging options. They offer free postcards and a map for you to put a pin in your home city. A fun way too see how far people travel to visit.

Chinese restaurant
Luo's Cafe is a local favorite for Chinese cuisine, serving up traditional Cantonese and Sichuan dishes in a laid-back setting. While some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the prices, food quality, and service, others have found the experience to be enjoyable. The house fried rice has garnered praise for its perfectly separated grains and flavorful taste. Dishes like beef chow fun and mapo tofu were deemed decent but not exceptional.
House fried rice was the star of the show. Loved how every grain of rice was individually separated; it’s what fried rice should be but many restaurants fail to accomplish. It was flavorful and not salty; just perfect. Beef chow fun would be better if there were more beef. Mapo tofu was ok, but nothing special. I would skip getting the hot and sour soup. Decent service; dining space was cozy but dated.

If there's any other restaurant open in town, just go somewhere else, for your money and stomach. I came here on 12/25 because even McDonald's was closed. No surprise it's a horrible Chinese restaurant with any measurements. A $22.99 Mongolian beef only has maybe 10 pieces of beef and the rest are onions 🧅🤣
Junhua C — Google review
We were visiting Kanab from NYC and wanted to try non-American food so we went to Luo's Cafe. We've had so many Chinese food in NY, but Luo's Cafe was the worst by far. This (in the pic) was over $15! Plus, I asked to not give us any rice but they didn't listen. I wouldn't pay $4 for this! If their restaurant were in NYC, they'll close within 3 days. Nobody will eat their horrible food.
髙部久宇 — Google review
We got here during the Christmas when other restaurants were close. However, it id not make us disappointed. Food are great and come in good portion. It was pretty crowded at that time. Seems like a good place for Chinese food in town.
Suksant P — Google review
Food was okay, not much different from you get in California Chinese restaurant, but didn’t expect to find the place in this high Utah altitude city.
WonHee J — Google review
A second cook poke that taste sweet. it taste not even close to the actual dish. The waiter said 'it's Utah' about it. The restraunt just has has a Chinese name but nothing actual like it. Anyway, it's a one-time visit. And the restraunt is making one-time money from tourist
Jinyu L — Google review
Food was way too salty. The only flavor was salt. Was 100% empty before we came in to eat on the way to Grand Canyon. Kids run the place and are rude. The place was dirty with taped up furniture from 1950. Felt like it was never cleaned. Where are the parents? Why are the kids yelling in the back and serving customers?
Carl X — Google review
Let's start with the positive first, it has a great location and a decent parking lot. But that ends there. The food is heavy on the oil and small portion for the price. The indoor eating area is dark and old. Not impressed.

Hamburger restaurant
If you find yourself in Kanab, Utah, make sure to experience the Chuckwagon Cookouts, where mouthwatering barbecue meets a slice of local history. This charming spot captures the essence of the Old West while serving up some of the best burgers around. The owner is not only passionate about his craft but also engages warmly with guests, making your visit feel special from start to finish.
Perfection in everything ! You can see the dedication that the Chef has; from the packaging to the smallest details he takes care of. This burger is tastier, juicier than a one I can eat at a fancy restaurant. The freshness of the Tomato, Arugula and Avocados is definitely a plus. For me this is a Gourmet burger in a food truck. Fries are not soggy, they are crunchy, well seasoned. Chef is so welcoming, smiling and funny. Also tried the Manjar Ice Cream with Espresso flavor, is so rich without being overly sweet which is something I appreciate, the espresso flavor was bold it was so delicious. It’s worth the stop and I’m glad we tried it ! A Chef that takes good care of his business worth all the support.

The service was great! A very enjoyable experience. I ordered the belly of the dragon burger. I will edit the review after I receive my order and enjoy my meal. I was told from multiple people as far as Hurricane Utah that I needed to try this place before going back to the Dragon Bravo fire. I'll post pictures after my meal.😋 ok I'm back. The smell inspired me to taste and before I knew it everything was gone, then I remembered I was going to take a picture, but after one bite I got lost in tranquility when the flavors brought me to a place I never thought possible. When my meal was gone the only regret was I didn't order two.

Best burger I've ever had. The care that goes into everything shows and is extraordinary. If you only have one opportunity to stop for food this is the best of the best and will leave you with no regrets. The kindness and service is also just a cut above the rest. I've never had a burger that I enjoyed more and I've quickly become a lifelong customer today.

JC at Only In Kanab makes THE BEST Burgers in Kanab, hands down. Second to none. Most of the other bad reviews on here seem to be difficult customers, tanking a small businesses reviews because they take a minute to cook your gourmet burger? A one man show should stop making other orders to take yours? A little patience goes a long way... if you want fast food and employees to walk all over, take your bad attitude to McDonald's. If you want amazing food, made to order with the highest standards, this is the spot 👍🏻
Brady C — Google review
The burgers here are delicious - fresh beef on perfectly toasted brioche. The owner is super friendly and running his truck solo so be patient. It’s cooked fresh to order and totally worth the wait. The fry sauce is the best I’ve ever had.

What makes it truly special is JC — an incredible chef with a big heart whose warmth and hospitality make you feel right at home. Anyone who wants a meal prepared with passion and soul. Underrated hidden gem 💎🍴

Found Only in Kanab on our trip this weekend and it was the best burger I’ve ever had!! Watching the owner interact personally with each guest and then amount of care and passion in his culinary craft was so impressive. We waited for a bit because the line was long, but it was one of the few times waiting was not a chore. The burgers and fries were phenomenal! My wife and I were both very happy!! I like a little kick so the Kanab dirt fries were just right. They even had Manjar ice cream and having lived in Santiago, Chile for 2 years, this was a special treat that brought back many fond memories!! Can’t recommend this place enough!!!

This is a wonderful store for such a small town - but one that has growing tourism. I liked the deli selections. They even stock kimchi!

I was traveling through Kanab and I was so pleasantly surprised to find a grocery store with a huge product selection with reasonable prices. The produce was excellent and I found a great, fresh lunch in their deli. Even their bakery was perfect. The best thing was the incredible employees who work there. All of them smiled and were helpful to me as I searched for products. PS, I loved their positive and inspiring quotes that they have posted in their store.

We traveled 20 hours to have our mini wedding with our close family in the beautiful town of Kanab. We stopped at this store to order a “wedding cake” and picked out this cute tree design because it matched our outdoorsy vibe perfectly. A little later, I received a text from the store offering to add the cool tree texture to the sides and the beautiful greenery and flowers all over for free. We did not expect much (we were just excited to get married!), but we were so surprised at how perfect this little cake turned out. The store went above and beyond to offer even more than we ever hoped for. They added such memorable detail to our special day that we still talk about today. Today, we unthawed a frozen leftover slice of this cake to celebrate our one year anniversary, and we reminisced our wonderful time in Kanab, UT.

Friendly, with a small town feel. Good selection, including both regular groceries and lots of pre-made stuff perfect for tourists. I knocked it down from 5-star to 4-star because the prices are high.

Just needed to stop by and grab some cream cheese. The cashier ahead of us was helping an old man get his things and pack his groceries which I thought was really nice and thoughtful. Definitely a small town grocery store!

The catering from the deli and bakery at honey's was amazing! We just hosted a conference at the Kanab Center the last three days. Honey's provided the lunch catering for our crew of about 70 each day. They delivered and set it up and let us manage the service. The food was great - tasty, hot, and well portioned. Many of our conference attendees stated it was the best catering for the last 5 years. They were easy to work with and very cost effective. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
