Specialty Museums
Little Hollywood Land is a charming museum and trading post located in Kanab, known as "Little Hollywood" due to its history of being a filming location for numerous iconic movies. The museum features a collection of old movie sets from famous films, offering visitors the chance to explore and learn about the area's significant role in the development of filmmaking.
A very nice and large amount of studio sets, well preserved and insta worthy. They also have a shop and a bbq restaurant with delicious food and friendly people.
Paul M — Google review
Interesting nostalgia for all you old western fans, and the lady who runs the place is sweet and inviting. This place was probably pretty special a few years back, but you can tell its aging. Give them a visit and donate to a nice little niche of "hollywood" history. It's free to see, but donations seem to be appreciated👍
Erick D — Google review
Something different but some areas have fell into disrepair. Interesting about filming some old movies but children would not know any of the shows. Great little gift shop before you go in. They ask for a little donation. The BBQ place in the same building is delicious.
Rebecca M — Google review
I'm glad this place is free. It has become really run down. We did give a suggested donation per adult but I really don't think it was worth it. It's sad to see such history not being taken care of. They were doing changing of light bulbs and whatnot and stuff was just out in buckets wherever. Kids didn't mind but the older adults had a hard time getting past all the clutter around. Wish we would have skipped this and done a tour of the animal sanctuary instead.
Emily B — Google review
It's an interesting spot with a connection to old western movies and shows of the 60s & 70s. The buildings are interesting to see and it's a quick walk around, but most are in disrepair. Despite that, it's worth a tour of the sets for film afficionadoes.
James R — Google review
Meh. I hate to give museums a bad review but this one really is lacking. It is not well maintained and they need far more information on each structure. Would not return. Sorry.
Spencer S — Google review
Lovely little museum with some actual Western movie sets on display. Entry fee is by donation..
Angel J — Google review
Very disappointed in Little Hollywood based on the reviews and Trip Advisor ranking it #1 of things to do in Kanab. There wasn't much there and what was there was in a state of disrepair. The Parry Lodge is a actually a more interesting "musesum" than this. Choose one of the many other museums in town or head up Johnson Canyon to the Gunsmoke set.

Barbecue restaurant
Iron Horse Restaurant is a casual and cozy spot with a unique cowboy theme, offering a smaller but perfectly executed menu of steaks, burgers, ribs, and hearty sides. The restaurant has a great selection of beer and wine to complement the delicious meals. It's an ideal place for families or larger groups, with a fun waiting area for tables. The restaurant also features a bar serving mixed drinks along with wine and beer.
This place was so much fun, and their food was fantastic! Plus much less expensive than I assumed. I had the salmon meal, and it was delicious! The salmon came out perfectly cooked, with the right amount of seasoning, on the side of green beans or cooked and then start on the grill. They were good The atmosphere is great, very old western days! The outdoors is set up to look like an actual old western town. If I ever find myself down in Kanab again, I will definitely be eating at this place and shopping in there gift shops.
Teresa C — Google review
Gave this place a try for dinner. The staff were very friendly and fun. I arrived before dinner time and there was no wait to sit. They have a draft root beer that was incredible to me. I had a half rack of ribs with mac and cheese and fries. The ribs were good, very tender, fall off the bone. The mac and cheese was ok, a little bland but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn’t fix. The fries were really good, crispy and just the right amount of seasoning. It’s a neat restaurant and I look forward to returning as they have a lot of items on the menu that interest me.
Thomas H — Google review
Great western themed restaurant and fun for kids with many activities like beanbag throwing. Also offers many photo opportunities. Brisket tasted really good although a bit dry. Hamburgers with bacon were really tasty and medium cooked. Covered terrace is really cozy to sit outside.
Rick W — Google review
This is our second stop in Kanab. You can't find a more western themed BBQ joint like this in the 300 miles radius. Yes it is tourist trap with great neighborhood type of service. You can tell by the clientele, about 90% tourists and 10% locals in this 5500 polloulation town. The Wings are good, large and crispy. Good buffalo sauce. The salad has seen better days, the Parmesan cheese on the salad was so dry I basically just picked them out along some of the old lettuce. The burger was juicy and thick, with over fried / hard onion rings on top. The Ribs had a good rub, but they must have been sitting around for a while and lost most of the juiciness. The meat still falls off the bone but in flakes. I ate about 50% of it. Glad that I didn't order the full rack. Now the sides, very good beans, soft and tasty, the slaw was pretty mild, not much taste to it just like the mac and cheese. Overall, I think the food could be better during high season when there are more tourists filling the place up. The food preparations are good, just not very fresh.
D H — Google review
Incredible place! I haven’t had such a good dinner in awhile. The ribeye and the wings were just AMAZING. Duane was serving us tonight and suggested very well, he is super super nice! I totally suggest this place if you want to have an unforgettable dining experience!
Giorgia B — Google review
What a wonderful experience, I'm so glad we stopped by this great place in Kanab. We were greeted by the friendly host Derek who seated us right away - he was very accommodating with our seating request as well. Duane took care of us the rest of the night - he was fabulous, so friendly, and I really appreciated his suggestions when I asked him about the menu - the flatiron steak was perfect for me and so tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My friend also loved his brisket and sides, all wonderful. Duane really went the extra mile; he was so quick to get our drinks and so friendly. With great food and service like this, we'll absolutely be back when we're in the area. Thanks for a great evening, it made our day perfect.
Jennifer B — Google review
Awesome bbq! Nice decor.. they are short handed and gave a disclaimer on the wait time for seating and food. But we could feel the staff were trying their best, it didn’t take that long anyway because kids were kept entertained at the playground and the outdoor area is lovely. My only wish is for the food portion to be more generous.
Estee C — Google review
The Ironhorse was a recommendation from our hotel staff and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was amazing, Nancy and Anna went above and beyond. We had great appetizers and drinks. Our meals were delicious. The best part of the evening was the staff, they gave us great insight about the area and were not opposed to a little banter. Thanks for a great evening!.

Nature & Parks
Jacob Hamblin Park is a community park located in a picturesque desert canyon setting. It offers various amenities such as playgrounds, splash pads, picnic pavilions, BBQ areas, and fire pits. The park features baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and an extensive playground with slides and climbing structures for kids of all ages. Visitors can enjoy ultimate frisbee games on the green space or explore nearby Squaw Trailhead.
Beautiful local park with plenty of shade trees, grassy areas, thoughtful landscaping, nestled before red rock mountains. Playgrounds and water. Extremely clean and well maintained.
Stacey S — Google review
So the park itself is really fantastic. We really love the circular sort of layout and the way that you could pretty much see every area of the park from any area that you’re sitting for your children are always within your view. The only suggestion is for some awnings over the park benches And for an awning near the splash pad and more seating by the splash pad benches. There’s very little seating over there and very little shade. It would be really nice for parents watching their kids at the splash pad especially parents are very young children to have a place to sit like some picnic tables or something over in that Area. And then the bunches that surround the place structure are rarely in shade maybe for like an hour first thing in the morning, but all afternoon they’re in full sun, and it is really difficult to sit and watch your children from metal benches in full sign in southern Utah! So awnings for the benches and an awning and more seating by the splash pad, but we love every other aspect of this park! Including the proximity to the pool and the proximity to the parking lot and the big open field and the lovely little desert garden and the biking paths and all of the covered picnic areas that are sort of up by the basketball courts and stuff and we drive all the way from Page Arizona to enjoy this park which is over an hour, there’s always plenty of parking and there’s a water fountain where you can refill your water bottles which is also really fantastic. It would be nice if there is maybe some vending machines for snack or drink options that are not inside the pool area and then like I mentioned earlier the Awnings over the seating areas.
Tara F — Google review
This is the most beautiful playground I have ever seen. Large playground equipment with shade structure, mature trees and beautiful landscaping, multiple picnic tables with their own grill and lighting. To top it all off it’s surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Rachelle L — Google review
Beautiful park! Clean and quiet. Perfect setting against the redrock. Lots of parking. Flush toilets, picnic tables and a fun playground for kids. Shade trees and benches as well as a pavilion provide relief from sun on hot days
Glade G — Google review
Lovely park. It feels like an oasis of green with the amazing cliffs as a backdrop.
Phil H — Google review
Playground is fantastic with shock absorbing rubber mulch, tons of slides and climbing structures all ages of kids want to play on. Swings are fantastic and bathrooms are available on either side of the park. Dogs are not allowed at the park. Pavilions covered many picnic areas which were perfect shady spots. Green space allowed ultimate frisbee games. Four baseball fields are nearby too. Surrounding cliffs are picturesque, and we walked over to the Squaw Trailhead too.
Jill W — Google review
This is one of the nicest & prettiest parks I've been to. We always bring our Big Al's burgers here on a break from AZ to Utah to get energy out. We've been summer & fall & love both, lots of shade, grassy fun playground & splashpad! Only wish is nicer/cleaner bathrooms and working drinking fountains.
Erin W — Google review
Wonderful family oasis in the desert! Playground is well shaded in the afternoon and evening. Free splash pad in the summer. Free public Wi-Fi, water, restrooms. Lots of shaded picnic tables! Adjacent to the city pool and skate park. Surrounded by stunning red rocks!

Everything was perfect!! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I think our waitress was Sadie. My steak was cooked to perfection. The dessert was too. Molten chocolate cake with butterscotch, crunchy, candies and Vanilla Ice cream. We come to Kanab once a year and stop here and have never been disappointed. We'll be back again next year.
Jennifer — Google review
Ate here with the family while traveling through southern Utah. There was a little bit of a wait even though it was a Wednesday afternoon because a couple big tables were there. Not too bad though. We had the Pub Mac appetizer and it was a hit. I didn't get a picture of that because my son ate most of it before I could. I had the pub burger which was really good. I wasn't sure looking at it that it would be. The bun was huge and made the burger look tiny. The burger was also cooked well-done so I was afraid it would be dry, but it wasn't. It was delicious and filling. My son got the kids corn dog and loved it. He traded me the little bag of Lays potato chips that it came with for my "to-die-for potatoes". Pretty sure I came out on the raw end of that deal, because the potatoes were good. My wife got the Cowboys Chicken. It was delicious. My daughter got a giant slice of lasagna that she loved too. Everything was very good. A little pricey, but excellent.
Tyler N — Google review
Cute little restaurant right on the main street of Kanab. We ate outside so didn't get inside photos. We had our dog and everyone was so sweet about making sure he was OK. Even brought him a treat and they had water for him. Food was very good. Dessert was amazing. Waitress kept forgetting our drink, but it was very busy and maybe they were short handed. It was not a big deal. I would check this place out if your in town.
Marit-karen G — Google review
Would highly recommend this restaurant! The staff were very nice and friendly and the food was amazing. We had the burger and the yellow curry and it was honestly one of the best curry’s I have had in a while. The hummus and bread were also really good.
Daniela S — Google review
No one here has Coke zero…. the food was pretty good. The place has a cool, artsy vibe that reminded me a lot of downtown Ogden. There’s local artwork on the walls and a casual but creative atmosphere that makes it feel like more than just another small-town restaurant. If it’s busy, you will have to wait. The space isn’t huge, and it’s popular, so expect a little bit of a wait during peak hours. But once we got seated, the service was friendly and attentive. I had the steak and it was well prepared. Cooked just right, tender, and nicely seasoned. The presentation was clean, and the sides complemented it well. Everything on the table looked fresh and carefully made. It’s a good spot to stop if you’re passing through Kanab and want a sit-down meal in a relaxed setting with some personality. I would eat there again and try a few more things off the menu.
Advantage K — Google review
We were driving through Kanab and decided to stop here to eat. They had a nice little outdoor patio, and they welcomed our dogs. Even though it was 100°, it was more than tolerable in the shade of the patio. I had the southwest polenta bowl and my husband had the tomatillo lime chicken; we both enjoyed our meals. I'm plant-based and gluten-free, husband is not, so I always appreciate restaurants that can accommodate us both. Service was great. Staff was friendly and food was prepared quickly. I would definitely visit again!
Monica K — Google review
Excellent place for dinner!! Our server was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Our food came out quickly. Our server checked on us often, replenishing Our drinks. Great atmosphere, very clean with interesting decor featuring local artists.

Amazing! The best ribeye I’ve had at a non-steakhouse restaurant. Ribeye: 10/10 Shrimp Linguine: 9/10 Almond Bread Pudding: 8/10 We highly recommend!

American restaurant
Houston's Trail's End Restaurant is a long-standing establishment in Kanab, serving up hearty American fare in a charming Western-themed setting. The Houston family has upheld the Old West legacy for over 40 years, offering a diverse menu that includes sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, burgers, steaks, ribs, chicken and shrimp. Locals and visitors alike appreciate the delicious comfort food made with high-quality locally sourced ingredients.
We were presently surprised by this little place. As we drove by, it appeared not very busy, and we were unsure. We parked in the pack and walked around to the front. We were seated right away, and to our surprise, a lot of both were filled, which you can't see because the booths are high. The food was great and not too much either. It was the perfect amount! We were even able to order dessert to go and ate it late that night. Our server was very attentive!
Loralee S — Google review
Houston’s Trail end was about as advertised. They had fair prices and food for what was offered. I got them chicken fried steak which was good but not great, the buns that came with the meal was probably the best thing I had. The Mac n cheese was kind of gooey and lacked flavor but the bbq chicken was very tangy and solid. Service was very nice our waitress was very responsive to our requests.
Jack F — Google review
Hot roast beef and a hot turkey. Both were very good and price was reasonable. We shared a banana cream pie. My only recommendation is they upday and change the table clloth/vinal. It's worn and frayed.
Margaret B — Google review
The Country Fried Steak Dinner was fabulous and the slice of Banana Cream Pie was huge. We loved this restaurant. It has a very homey feel and the service was super fast. Chloe was delightful and professional. We’ll definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Make sure you are hungry…
Jaren P — Google review
Had a small salad with yummy chili👌 was delicious. The service was a little slow, but they were nice when they got to you, recently priced. Oddly the hostess wasn’t sure what was on the menu 🤔
Chris G — Google review
This was our first time eating at Houstons and we had high expectations based on how the crowds of people were waiting to get a table. One woman even told us the wait was worth every second and that she would "wait all day for this place." The old west theme was festive and the staff was nice, but the food was not amazing. On the breakfast menu, just about everything has tons of cream gravy and is all just average diner food. They would not make adjustments/substitutions to the ingredients even for an allergy because everything was apparently pre-portioned, which was really limiting to what could be ordered.
Kimberly A — Google review
Another restaurant we picked on travels out west that didn't disappoint. Service was great. Food was top notch. I had their "famous" country fried steak and it did not disappoint. Mash potatoes with their homemade gravy and the homemade mac & cheese made it a 5 star meal. My wife had the ribeye, and it was great.
Russell D — Google review
I stopped in one day for the first time and enjoyed their double cheeseburger with house fries. Today I stopped in because I didn’t have room for pie last time. I love a good coconut cream, and this one did not disappoint. This in-house-made pie is custardy with lots of whipped cream and made with actual shredded coconut throughout. The crust was so flaky. I took this one to go up 89 near Hog Canyon to enjoy. So my last chance to try the chocolate cream pie before they close for the 2023 season. It too is made in house as well. So good 🫶🏼. For a visit both short and sweet, thank you for the good food and pie. August 8th 2025 So I’m back after nearly 2 years. I was really hoping the pies would be just as good as they were the previous times. They are the same. The coconut cream is my favorite, and if you order any of the cream pies, you better be into whipped cream 😳🤣.. literally💙. Staff is still just as friendly. Their food is amazing as well. I use this place for my decadent craving sweet tooth. I’m Yet to find any pie that comes close to theirs. I’ve been to Oregon and back. In the end, I have found the best place to enjoy this decadent coconut cream pie is out amongst the red rock of this beautiful desert location. Gotta love, Kanab.🫶🏼

Mexican restaurant
Escobar's Mexican Restaurant in Kanab, Utah is a cozy and family-run eatery that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features giant burritos, Chile Relleno enchiladas, and flavorful shrimp tacos. This local favorite is known for its fresh and delicious Mexican food made to order, including amazing salsa prepared by the server's husband. With ice-cold Coronas and a friendly staff, it's the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.
Wonderful little quaint restaurant with a handful of tables inside & out. Generous portions & wonderful taste. Their salsa is very tasty also! The thing that stood out the most was the courteous and very friendly staff & the gorgeous view from their patio.
Lindsey H — Google review
A typical Mexican restaurant that provides the basics but lacks an alcohol selection. Unfortunately, we were all hungry and in the mood for mixed drinks, but it seems Kanab is primarily a dry town. Despite this, we decided to give it a shot, hoping for some fantastic Mexican food. The food was good but not great, again, nothing exemplary. One standout was a lively employee with a captivating, almost ethereal voice who sang while working in the kitchen. When she took a break, we overheard her discussing a new job opportunity that included air conditioning and elevators. I truly hope she’s thriving, as she added a special touch to our experience at Escobar’s.

This is a family-owned business and they make you feel very welcome when you come in. The food we ordered was delicious and the service was great. The people were friendly and courteous and took good care of us👍👍👍👍👍😃

We ate here on our vacation to see the slot canyons. The food was good and the portions were plenty enough. Our server was really nice and attentive. There seemed to be a real community vibe, as we saw lots of interactions between guests. Nice place to visit.
Andre M — Google review
We were hungry and googled this place, had good ratings. Placed our orders, me and husband's orders came out first. We were halfway done when my son's order finally came out. We had to share our food with him while he was waiting. Asked for napkins throughout our lunch, but never got any.
Michele Y — Google review
Admittingly busy for Cinco de Mayo. But overall the food was just ok, wish more meat choices. And biggest issue was we both felt quite sick afterwards. Chips and salsa - Thin bland chips, standard salsa. Tacos - just normal hard shell. Taco Salad - Cute for sure! But with all cold toppings on top, entire bottom of meat and beans was cold and made the shell soggy. Enchiladas - Decent but tasted mostly of cheese, wish way more sauce. Meats - Tried all 3 and ultimately none were special.
Nicholas K — Google review
Quaint place, family oriented. Must admit the salsa and food was beyond my expectation. Highly recommend if one loves Mexican food.

Nestled in the charming town of Kanab, Peekaboo Canyon Wood Fired Kitchen is a must-visit for those seeking delectable vegan and vegetarian dishes, along with a selection of local beers and handcrafted cocktails. Owned by the co-founders of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Francis and Silva Battista, this restaurant embodies principles of kindness, positive influence, leadership, authenticity, and transparency.
We stopped here because my wife is vegan, and the food was absolutely amazing. The kids ordered pizza from the kids’ menu, called The Wrangler, and I was surprised by how big the pie was. My wife ordered the Hot Mess pizza and loved it, while I ordered the Major Powell burger, which was very tasty and juicy. 100% satisfied and highly recommended.

We went to this so-called restaurant for dinner, and from the very start, it was a fiasco. Upon entering, we were told to wait outside — not for five minutes, but fifteen — as if accommodating seated guests was some monumental task. When we politely asked to wait inside, the waitress responded rudely, insisting we remain outside. Hospitality was clearly not part of the establishment’s vocabulary. Once we were finally seated, we were greeted by a filthy table — remnants of someone else’s meal still scattered across it, oily smears untouched, and a pervasive stench of fried grease hanging in the air. The odor was so strong that, upon leaving, our clothes carried it with us like a grim souvenir. To make matters worse, the pizza chef — if one can call him that — was preparing food with a long, unkempt beard and hands visibly stained with what looked like grease or ash. Watching him handle the dough with such disregard for hygiene was stomach-turning. As for the food itself, it was shockingly bad. You’d find better ingredients at the lowest-tier discount store. The dishes were flavorless, carelessly thrown together, and wholly unworthy of the outrageous price we ended up paying. We waited over an hour and a half for this disaster of a meal — in a restaurant that was nearly empty. Abysmal service, rude staff, unacceptable hygiene, and food of the lowest quality. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all costs — even a fast-food chain would be a superior choice. Calling this a “restaurant” is an insult to the word.
Vince — Google review
Wow! One of the best places I have eaten in! So good, tastes amazing and the service and atmosphere is just great! We’ve took a pizza (which was very great) and a burger. They have 3 options of burgers, the one we took was meat taste and for me (as a vegetarian) it was a bit harder, but for my partner- he liked it so much! Really recommended!!
David P — Google review
We are visiting from outside of Utah after leaving Zion. Service was incredibly slow (it was moderately if that) ordered a few different menu items, chicken Alfredo pizza absolutely disgraceful. Sweet potato fries were ok hard to mess those up. Grilled cheese was good. And took a few burgers ordered “to go” it wasn’t until we got home we saw the disrespect of a burger they serve customers. All 3 burgers came out the same way. Look at photo for reference. Our server was no where to be found the entire time. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was having an off day as we all do. But even the table next to us was complaining how service was slow Never got our silverware or utensils for entire table. The only enjoyable part was the 2 beers that took forever to receive that I guzzled down in hurry so I could pay and get the heck out of there somewhat buzzed! I’m from Texas where kindness is king and food is great! Looking for somewhere to eat in Kanab? Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Great place for vegan/ vegetarian options. Cozy seating inside and lots of seating outside as well. We got pizzas and all were very tasty. A little too much flop but still pretty good. Give them a try!

The Cauliflower was excellent and had a good crisp to it. The Margherita Pizza was light and delicious. Quick service and staff were very friendly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting!

If you’re into wood-fired pizza, you can’t pass this place up! My wife love wood-fired pizzas and try them wherever we visit. I was a little hesitant at this place since their menu is all vegan and vegetarian and my preferred diet is anything but vegan or vegetarian. I was blown away at the flavor and quality of pizza they gave us. The portion size was awesome and I didn’t feel like I was getting skimped. The dough and flavor profiles were spot on. We tried the margherita pizza and the Hot Mess. Amazing flavor. If you like spicy food, you should get the hottest version of the Hot Mess. Can’t wait to come back.

We enjoyed the fact that there were veg options. Seating was fast but we definitely got lucky because there were plenty of people waiting after us. Pizza crust was delicious but toppings were skimpy and sweet potato fries were overdone and dry. The one seater restroom was small but clean and not handicapped accessible.

New American restaurant
Sego Restaurant is an upscale dining spot in Kanab, offering a refined take on New American cuisine. The menu features shareable plates with a diverse range of options, from charcuterie to duck lo mein and bone-in prime rib. One must-try appetizer is the elote fritter, bursting with flavors of fire-roasted corn and topped with chipotle aioli, queso cotija, and cilantro.
Nothing against Kanab, it's a nice tourist town but we were surprised to find a restaurant of this caliber. Especially since it's not a chain restaurant which Utah is so fond of. We were staying at the attached hotel and we were tired from driving. After looking over the menu at the front desk, we thought we'd give it a try but we didn't have any expectations. As a "silver haired couple" we arrived when they opened. So no waiting. I suggest reservations if you visit during the prime tourist season or if you have a large party. All the employees were a pleasure to interact with, including our server Sam. She was very busy, but maintained her friendly personality throughout. Even providing the background of the restaurant and chef/owners. Everything was clean, comfortable and the price is appropriate for quality. The food is served similar to tapas but the servings are a bit larger so you can share. We ordered four plates plus dessert and we left full but delightfully so. I also had the Aun No Muerto drink and it was delicious, the Mr. enjoyed the peach hard lemonade and enjoyed it as well. We started with the asparagus, I enjoyed this way more than I should have! The way it was sliced, the sauce and nuts truly brought out the flavor. Then we had the gnocchi chef special, gnocchi made from masa! Amazing. Our last two were Chicken Satay and Street Food XOI. We loved both of these as well but my favorite was the way the sticky rice was prepared. The crunchy texture along with the sauce and egg, amazing! For dessert we enjoyed the cookie sundae and chocolate souffle. Both were delicious, including the strawberry heart surrounding the souffle. 😁 We may have to visit Kanab just for the purpose of dining here, rather than waiting until we have to drive through.

Food was delicious, service was great, a group of 10 had 15 different meals brought out and shared plates like appetizers. Ahhh mazing. Who knew this little town had this phenomenal restaurant.

After 2 straight nights of somewhat disappointing meals in Kanab, we were not expecting much. Asian fusion can be tricky and usually end up on either end of the spectrum, nothing in between. After taking the first bite, Sego is definitely at the good end. They call this tapas (progressive?), smaller then usual portions but far bigger than the normal tapas size, perfect for us after hours of hiking. We ordered a few different things just to try the different flavors, and they were so good we couldn't stop eating. I won't get into every details of each dish so you can get your own little surprises when you dig in. But they taste exactly how you would expect them to taste from looking at the ingredients. They stay about 75% true to the original dish in terms of seasoning and ingredients but with a few very tasty twists, such as the black beans in the broccolini. The Sego Noodle is basically the Singapore noodles but with rice noodles, the curry flavor was perfect, and the crab in it was incredible. So try the duck. Sometime it is very hard to get these fried rice and wok fried noodles with out a lot oil, because it is needed to get the noodles separated, but the amount of oil here was perfect. You don't see much oil at the bottom after you finish the food. I have to say that this was a very good surprise for our last night of stay and if we come by Kanab again we will definitely come back here for more. One suggestion, don't sit outside facing west in the evening, because the sun will do more than just keeping your food hot. 😂

Sego Restaurant is located on the first floor of a Kanab hotel. Don’t be mislead by the casual décor and moderate prices. We were amazed at the gourmet presentation and quality of the food. Its chef won Utah chef of the year award, plus many other awards—all well-deserved! Service was excellent. Our dinner was the best meal we’ve had all year! It’s helpful to make reservations in advance.

Exciting menu, dishes were cooked perfectly, and all packed with excellent flavours. Highly recommend the duck and noddles, and asparagus side. The only downside to this experience was the fact that we were seated out of view in an otherwise quiet restaurant as we were dressed in hiking gear (even though we had booked in advance as it was a special occasion), otherwise, we would have rated Sego full marks. Poor decision from management, but the food certainly made up for it and, otherwise, the service was good. Definitely stop by when in the area for a very reasonable, delicious meal…although make sure you look the part!

Definitely the best restaurant in Kanab, really enjoyed the experience and the food! Shared plate was a fun experience. Definitely make reservations ahead though, we were lucky to get a table without reservations, but had to wait an hour and a half (totally our fault, just didn’t want to commit to a reservation so we winged it) but just went back to our rental home which was 3 minutes away. For 2 adults we ordered 4 shared plates and they were generous enough for us to share half of each plate and pack up the other half to enjoy the next night! We enjoyed the Prickly Pear Margaritas very much and had the Banana Bread Pudding for dessert. Shared the Artichoke Mushroom Foccacia, Fried Rice, Duck and Arizona Beef. Absolutely delicious and generous portions! Reheated beautifully and was something quick and delicious to look forward to the next night after a long day on the motorcycle ☺️

This place is just amazing! We were on our way looking for a place to dine after coming back from Zion Park, decided to walk in after looking on the menu. The restaurant is located inside the canyon hotel and it serves many small dishes to share. We were a party of five the hostess recommended taking between 6-8 dishes. We ordered Ribs , fillet Satay chicken, fried rice, asparagus and a Salad. Each dish was wonderfully cooked and served, tastes were delicious, delicate and spicy were needed. And after that the desert was amazing, beautifully served and delicious!! So if your in the area our even 100 miles away it really worth the drive. Thank you to the Chef and team for making our visit perfect!

Kanab Creek Bakery is a charming European-style cafe and bakery with a lovely patio. Despite being surrounded by natural wonders and visited by countless tourists, Kanab still retains its isolated charm. The bakery is known for its artisan breads, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and espresso. It's a local favorite offering fresh breakfast options like breakfast burritos, shakshuka, quiche, waffles as well as lunch items such as paella and hot sandwiches.
Kanab Creek Bakery was a real gem that we stumbled upon during our road trip to Arizona and Utah. My family and I were on a trip to take in the grand views and hikes that the state had to offer, and we were not disappointed. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and my wife was in awe every second. However, one of the highlights of the trip was the little bakery we found in the middle of nowhere. At first, I didn't expect much from this small establishment, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The vegetarian dishes, omelette, quiche and dessert were all some of the best we had ever had. The drinks were great too, and the service was top-notch. We were able to find seats easily and the other patrons were also friendly. In addition to the great food, the bakery itself was charming and inviting. It had a cozy, rustic feel that added to the overall experience. We were able to relax and enjoy our meals while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Overall, I highly recommend Kanab Creek Bakery to anyone visiting Arizona and Utah. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. It was a great break from the hustle and bustle of our road trip, and it truly made our trip even more special. In terms of the vast beauty of Utah and Arizona, it was truly spectacular. From the red rocks of Sedona to the winding canyons of the Grand Canyon, the state offers an incredible array of natural wonders. Each view was more breathtaking than the last and it was hard not to be in awe of the stunning landscapes. The hikes were also challenging but rewarding with the views from the top. It was a trip of a lifetime and we can't wait to go back and explore more of Arizona's beauty.

There are several places to eat breakfast in this picturesque little town. Check out the alternatives. Atmosphere: If you can snag one of the four stools at the counter in the lobby, it would be the best because it’s nicely decorated and you have the warmth from the wood fire pizza oven you’re lucky otherwise you get shuffle to a dining room next-door. Food: There aren’t many items on the menu and all look good. My wife and I each ordered the quiche Lorraine at $14 US each. Each was delivered to our table in aluminum take away plates with plastic lids. Our plastic cutlery was delivered and sealed bags with a napkin and salt and pepper. Real plates and cutlery would’ve been nice. The quiche was obviously baked at another time, then “reheated” for service. The top layer wasn’t burnt, but it was much too dark. Probably from the reheating. The quiche was barely warm when we started and we we got to the center it was ice cold not appetizing at all. The flavour was just OK. Perhaps the kitchen staff was just having an off day although it wasn’t that busy when we were there at 11 o’clock on a Thursday morning. Service: I the cashier who took the order, and payment was very nice and welcomed us with a big smile and a, “good morning.“ See my photos for a better feel for things.

Great little bakery to stop off at when in Kanab. The ham and cheese croissants were delicious. I also got the regular palmier and it was flaky with the perfect amount of sweetness. The apple turnover was just okay. The customer service was great and the prices were fair. I would definitely come back when visiting Kanab.

A classic style bakery in Kanab, ate here on my last day of visiting the area and wish I had tried it sooner. The baked goods and drinks are delicious but I would say their hot food options are exceptional. I got the croque madame and my friend got the quiche and we inhaled them because they were so good. The quiche especially was so well made we could not stop talking about it. If you ever pass through kanab give them a try.

Authentic Belgian Bakery. Yummy treats and delicious breakfast and lunch options. So many yummy pastries to choose from, you’ll end up buying them all! Great friendly service. Outside dining or you can eat inside the art gallery. Parking is rough, but so is everything in Kanab. A definite must visit while in Kanab!

The croissant was pretty good, along with the coffee and chai. Do not get the "eggs" though. I have no clue what these were, but I would never call them eggs. They were awful and they charged $7 for them. Not only did they taste weird, but they looked strange too. EDIT: As a Google Guide, you need to post honest reviews. The reply by the staff, let alone the owner of this place was extremely rude so I am lowering it by 1 star. If you own a business, please act like an adult and take constructive criticism. P. S. Spell check is a fantastic thing.

Great spot with delicious baked goods. Stopped by for the crepes, but they currently don't have them on the menu. They're pretty busy during off-season, understaffed, out of a few menu items and the credit card readers were down, but they're still killing it. Almond croissants were 🔥. Worth the line.
Stacey B — Google review
Firstly it's super cute when you walk in. Parking a bit tricky since there's only about 5 parking spaces. They have seats outside and inside you can sit. Please be patient due to it was only 2 of the sweetest people working. Their vanilla iced latte was amazing, got another. Their chai latte wasn't so great wouldn't recommend that. Bread, butter, and jam is a must. Also their croissants were buttery and good! Definitely would come back!

The Kanab Visitor Center is a valuable resource for travelers, offering information on hiking permits for popular formations like The Wave at Coyote Buttes. It provides road and weather reports, hiking recommendations, and insights into the history of Kanab through interpretive displays. As one of four visitor centers for the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, it serves as a hub for tourist activities in the area.
Erin, Sedina and Kaitlyn, thank you. This place was really fun and they really liked the volunteers, informative and gave us a plethora information. Lots of things to look at especially if you are a geologist. One of the workers there, is in school to be a geologist and it was fabulous having a conversation with her. We really enjoyed the maps and the cross-section plus the histories of the area. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Very friendly and knowledgable staff, gave us some great tips and knew about the road conditions after the recent storms. Friendly to the kids, provided information books, stickers and junior ranger badges without the normal mandatory tasks, which the kids loved since we were only passing by on the way into the park.

Took the kids here early morning to get some information about Kanab. Had a great visit and found out some nice quick hikes. If you got young kids it's a nice place to stop before or after breakfast. We bought some cactus candy. It was okay but it was fun to buy.

Don’t miss this stop on your road trip! The staff here is a wealth of information for all tourist activities. The gentleman that helped us was Alan. He offered some suggestions for local hikes. We took his advice and checked out the toadstool area. The visitor center was very clean, and there are public restrooms as well. The restrooms are located on the outside of the building. I would recommend taking a few minutes to look around inside as well. They have some exhibits that explain some of the geological features of the area. They also have gift shops and passport stamps for collectors.

We drove through Kanab, UTAH after we left Zion National Park on the U.S. 89 HWY. Kanab is surrounded by these beautiful red rocks and its such a cool mountain/desert town! This town has alot to offer from off-roading adventures and lots of caves and tunnels too explore! A very nice place to visit and stay the night and it is very close to the east entrance too Zion about 30 minute drive! We had a wonderful time driving through this town!

Another place with great information. Glad we stopped by. Even though there is little for the disabled to do at the National Monument, the staff here told us about a somewhat Scavenger Hunt we go to and just drive, the Johnson Canyon Driving Tour. That allowed us to enjoy a day visit and make it possible to see some sites. I cannot remember the guys name but Thank You for showing us the driving tour, we enjoyed it.

Female server was gruff but got the job done (authentic french experience now that i think about it). Chocolate mousse was good 5/5. French Onion Soup 4/5, Salmon Ratatouille 4/5. We enjoyed the seats next to the windows so we could see outside. Noise level was fine. both times we’ve eaten here It’s because they were one of the only places open and it was fine. Food is really rich of course (it’s french), so don’t plan any rigorous activities afterwards.

A fun, historical experience in Kanab, Utah. Kanab Heritage House is a home built in the late 1800's that has ties to the Southern Utah area. The guided tour is fun & informational and the tour guides are friendly & willing to answer questions. They have done a lot of work and use verifiable information when telling about the area, the home and the families that have lived here. The tour is about an hour long and will include several sets of stairs/steps. Sadly, it is not wheelchair accessible. There are lots of great artifacts to see and learn about and the preservation team had done a great job starting true to the history and nature of the home. The ground are well let and beautiful. A perfect place to have an intimate wedding or get together. The area gets warm in the afternoon so morning visits or those before 1PM are best to avoid the heat. Overall, the Kanab Heritage House Museum is a great way to spend an hour of your trip learning about local history.

The 3.2-mile hike provides stunning photo opportunities and is easy to follow with clear signage. While it offers a bit of challenge, it's manageable for families with young kids and pets. The trail features diverse wildlife and beautiful flora, making it an incredible experience for hikers.

Trailhead at the most north point cul de sac of park is a mess. Big (4’x3’) metal trailhead sign with broken plastic shield. Map on sign under plastic shield is dirty and unreadable. Sign-in register book and book holder wet, old and unusable. Trash everywhere by picnic table. Unmaintained. Obvious sign of lack of Kanab’s civic pride.

Wonderful hike. It wasn't too long, overall 3.2 miles (up and down) and had a few great spots for enjoying the landscape and taking stunning pictures. I would say the trail was easy to moderate but definitely easy to follow as there were plenty of signs along the trail. We got to see a few families on the way with young kids. There were a few places where the trail was narrow but most of it was easy. We encountered light snow fall on our way down, it was a fantastic experience.

This hike was incredible! It’s listed as kanab city connector trail in all trails and it looks like it might be really hard or even terrifying but it’s the perfect mixture of adding a teeny bit of fear to your hike while being an incredible workout and finishing with the triumph of looking out over the whole city and canyons beyond! The trail wasn't too hard to follow and this is a relatively easy to moderate trail. There are 1 or 2 narrow spots, and a couple steep rock steps, but the rest of it was a piece of cake.
Kody B — Google review
This is a great morning hike in the summer. It's a moderate hike but work goin the whole way. At the top there's a bench and you will have the most amazing views of the white mountains to the north. I would estimate 1 hr round trip .

Absolutely loved it. This trail has signs so you know you're still on track. It is not a flat walk though. You do have to step up rocks, duck around others and it does get a little steep at times but my dog and I took our time and we were fine! We couldn't go all the way up because my dog is older and isn't a huge fan of it haha. One lady said it was about 1 1/2ish hike. We'll be back!
Ashley C — Google review
Moderate trail, definitely need good hiking shoes. There are a few technical spots, but nothing too difficult. Hold on to your little ones, there are a few drop offs along the trail. All in all, beautiful views of the surrounding mesas and the city of Kanab.

Coffee shop
Sunny Creek Coffee is a charming drive-up or walk-up coffee stand located near Coral Hills Family Dental. While the location outside the dental office doesn't offer dining space, the spots at Kanab Outpost and Kanab Tour Co. provide indoor seating. The cafe is renowned for serving an array of beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and breakfast sandwiches. Visitors particularly praise their delicious breakfast burritos and avocado toast. Additionally, they offer a lunch menu featuring various sandwiches.
The restaurants were super busy during the balloon festival so we have this food trailer a try. Boy. I happy we did. Their breakfast burrito hit the spot. Great selection for breakfast & lunch. Drinks are yummy too! For sure hit them up! Great service & speedy! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to stopping by next time in town!

This barista would not turn around nor acknowledge us as we waited to take our order. The other girl had to take our order. When we did order the girl who ignored us rolled her eyes and whispered to the girl, “charge for that extra” even though the girl said she’d add that without a fee. Lacking customer service and passive aggressive behavior. You shouldn’t have a job with customers if your attitude is nasty towards them
Jordan A — Google review
Loved loved our coffee, breakfast sandwiches & muffins! I had an iced toasted hazelnut latte, a bacon/egg/cheese English muffin sandwich & a blueberry muffin. The latter was definitely my favorite part, but all were yummy. My husband had the burrito & loved it.

This was such an amazing find during our time here. The ladies who run the shop are so friendly and kind. The food is amazing. Today was our last day in the area and I meant to take pictures of the breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and cheddar (real cheese!) croissants) but they were too good and we were too eager to consume. The espresso is amazing! I normally have just americanos (which they did so perfectly) but finally tried a flavored latte and the orange maple was so surprisingly delicious! Not too sweet but the flavors were so complementary and perfect for fall. I also tried the orange truffle (also awesome) and my husband only ever got the white praline because it was the first thing he tried and never varied. Ask about their cheesecakes - we tried pumpkin cheesecake and cinnamon rolls (more than once)

This spot is a must!!! The breakfast burrito and strawberry banana smoothie was amazing! My boyfriend had a salted caramel iced coffee that he said was really good. Staff is super friendly. It was one of the only places in Kanab open at 7 on a Wednesday. Definitely recommend if you are staying in Kanab or driving through.

They were out of pastries by noon when we arrived, but otherwise fantastic coffee, and they're in the same building/ room as a small outdoor gear shop (North Face, Hydroflask, a few packs, etc) and a tour company. My kids found a kid-size picnic table with toys, and everyone seemed cool with us hanging out here for a bit to play, so I was happy despite the lack of pastries! Neat place! I suspect it's geared at people going on tours, but it's also fun for those who aren't!

The girl was really nice! They have matcha, even though it’s not the menu! Almond, oat, and soy milk too! Was throughly impressed! I needed it for the 48 degree weather first thing that morning in Kanab. Lol

Great break place! It's a small trailer, don't drive by, has two windows, one for drive through, one for pedestrians, it's right at the road. Friendly ladies serving you, good coffee. A small bench for two to sit out front.

Asava Juice & Smoothies is a delightful spot that you’ll want to visit repeatedly during your weekends in Kanab. This charming juice and smoothie shop offers an array of delicious options, including smoothies, acai bowls, and cold-pressed juices made from fresh ingredients. The homemade gluten-free bread is so flavorful that you won’t even notice it’s gluten-free! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who provide excellent customer service.
Such a great place, the owner Pam is so friendly, and everything we had there was fantastic! Love supporting local businesses! The gluten free bread is also amazing, my wife has Celiac, so being gluten free is important for us. They have lots of options for that.

Very welcoming place! They're clean food place tucked away in this small little town. Friendly staff and awesome array of juices and smoothies. As well as other herbal remedies. As someone who was never a big smoothie person, I AM NOW! Love the holistic message she is bringing to the area. Ps. Can you find the Lego carrot man?

Such a great find! We came for the nature and usually pack our own food because we are picky health focused eaters. In small towns it is really hard to find places like this! Organic smoothies, blended to be really creamy! Lots of unique flavor profiles and ways to customize your own. We tried the Down to Earth and the smooth with banana, peanut butter, and honey and we came back a second time to get them again. They have healthy organic snacks - we tried the kale chips yum! It is tucked behind a little bit so look for the signs and look up to find their Asava sign on the building.

100% would recommend this place. Our group of 5 each got açaí bowls and absolutely adored them. Had spectacular customer service, worker came out and talked to us for a good while and had the most lovely conversation. She gave us recommendations for hikes and tourist places that were looked over. Absolutely beautiful scenery too. The açaí bowl was a great consistency, filled me up and had the best flavor i’ve ever had. We plan on visiting the other location as well. Such lovely workers! Definitely recommend popping in and getting an açaí bowl. Update: We stopped AGAIN. most of us decided to get smoothies or bowls. Two tried coffees and absolutely loved them. I got a smoothie this time and would, without a doubt move here solely for these smoothies and bowls. It’s so refreshing and just overall makes you feel good!

We first heard about Asava during our UTV adventure — one of the owners was our tour guide, which led us to stop by afterward. We’re so glad we did! We had the privilege of meeting Pam and TC, the owners, and they are truly wonderful people — friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly down to earth. The smoothies were phenomenal — made with all organic ingredients and blended perfectly. No watered-down, icy drinks here — clean flavors and a super smooth texture. We’ve tried a lot of smoothie spots over the years, and this one blows the rest out of the water. We tried the Desert Sky, Fishing in the Dark and Endless Summer — all of them were amazing! Pam and TC clearly work hard to make sure everything they serve is healthy, fresh, and made with care. This place is a gem, and we will definitely be back!
Samuel M — Google review
We stopped by after a Roam tour- and got a Country Road smoothie, Desert Sky smoothie, and a “coffee something” smoothie as well as a fire cider toddy. Oh wow- the Elderberry fire cider toddy was delicious! I felt warm and content drinking it. All the smoothies were delicious and nutritious! We came in near closing time and were instantly greeted and welcomed. Orders were prepared quickly and expertly. We very much enjoyed and will be back when in Kanab!

Hooray for fresh fruit and veggies! The new best way in town to get those greens! Nestled back from the main road next to Wild Thyme, this new smoothie and juice shop is a hidden gem! (Diamond in the rough?:)) The ingredients are fresh, and the service is fabulous! The girls that helped us were quick, knowledgeable and friendly. There are a few tables and a bar inside, the juices are bottled daily in a fridge to the right of the entrance. Smoothies made to order. It might be a silly thing, but the straws are durable. They didn't fall apart after one drink like most others I have used. (So nice!) Our drinks were delicious, many that I order are too sweet for my taste and these were just right, so filling they were a meal in a cup. A great healthy option, I have a feeling this place is going to explode with popularity...

Asava is the highest quality eatery in Kanab, with the healthiest offerings. I’ve been stopping by every visit for as long as I’ve been going to Kanab…maybe 9 years?! The smoothies are delicious. The kale chips are crunchy and so tasty. The juices are fantastic. The avocado toast is exceptional (they make their own gluten free bread, but you really can’t tell it’s GF!). Asava now has an annex, loaded with all kinds of games and neat Lego sets! You can hang out with friends, enjoy something to eat/drink, and play a board game! The room is seriously packed with something for everyone…even the gigantic, super pricey Lego sets!

Dark Sky RV Campground is a picturesque site just outside of town, perfect for camper vans and RVs. The well-maintained campground offers stunning views of the stars from all its sites. The facilities include heated floor bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, ensuring a comfortable stay. The owners and hosts are welcoming and provide valuable recommendations for local hikes and attractions.
Our stay at Dark Sky definitely raised the bar for what a great campground should be. We loved our site and the views! But more importantly, we loved the social gathering spaces. After our day’s adventures, we found ourselves spending more time sitting in the wonderful covered area or sitting by the watering hole playing games, drinking beverages, visiting Monte (resident turtle) and the goldfish. Everything was so relaxing and enjoyable after hours of hiking and exploring. I can’t forget to mention the incredible bathroom facilities. As much as I love taking a shower in my RV, their bathrooms and outside showers were amazing! The hosts were extremely friendly, always available, great to talk with, and had many great social activities.

This place is just beyond the best spot. Not only are the views spectacular but all the amenities are done with such special attention to detail. Best campground shower ever!! We enjoyed the public spaces every day! We used the grill to prepare one of our meals and it was so nice to have this space available. Sitting by the pond and enjoying the scenery is so special. This is for sure my happy place!! Thank you to Rick, Meryl and family for creating such a wonderful place!! Jen and Rob Newton

We stayed at Dark Sky Campground this past week for one night and were sorry that we could not stay longer. This is a fantastic RV park with a very unique vibe. Lots of great amenities such as heated tile floors in the shower rooms, propane fire pits and pergolas and or shade sails with seating at each site, lots of community space for getting to know the others in the park, beautiful scenery all around. It was a great experience from our initial contact enquiring about sites, through the days before check in, during our stay, and even after we checked out. The communication and service were top notch. Jaye and Ashlie obviously love their work as Camp Hosts, they go all out to be helpful and accommodating. If we are ever in the area again, we plan to spend more time here.

This place is amazing! We stayed in the Luxury Campsites with no black water access, which was fine as there is an amazing bathhouse in the loop. Showers were fancier than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in. There was a place to do our dishes at the bathhouse and a very clean grill for guests to use just outside. There is a small supply store with a few necessities, also with beer, wine and ice cream. The stars were amazing on the nights there were no clouds. We will be back next time we come through AZ and UT.
Annetta G — Google review
My wife and I have been traveling in our van and outside of state and national parks, the majority of RV parks leave something to be desired. Everyone is so close to one another and little thought has gone into creating an experience for visitors. It's a place to park, dump, get water, and electricity. That's about it. Thus we find ourselves wanting to boondock more often but then you have no community and easy and clean bathrooms and showers (even though w have both in our van) can be hard to come by. To our surprise, Dark Sky was completely different. While the sites are fairly close in proximity to one another, it just doesn't feel like it. Bathrooms are super clean and simple yet modern. The bath house you can take an indoor or outdoor shower and all the bathrooms have heated floors which is nice when it's chilly. They have a lovely community area where people actually gather to chat and share adventures. There's also a store that has local products, eggs, bread, ... and it's all reasonably priced and works on the honor system which just feels nice to be in an honest and trusting community. We sat by the pond oasis and went on a hike with some cute baby goats which was fun. The owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and make sure your needs are being met. We were only there one day and we have already scheduled more time there next week. Just a place you want to be and a group of people you want to spend time with, get to know, and help them be successful. I'd highly recommend this place.
Ddobier — Google review
We booked this campground because we found the website and it looked like a place that we would like to stay. Dark Sky and all of the Owners and staff exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a great site with a nice view to the south. We loved the sitting area with the lounge chairs and fireplace. What we found very nice was the local businesses that Dark Sky brings in for entertainment/education. We went on a goat hike with a fifth generation local who educated us on the local history while we walked with her goats and daughter. There was a sound bath arranged with another local business who also does massage, art, and makes scents. One night there was a stargazing event with Stellar Vista Observatory, a local group raising funds to build an Observatory. Of course the social is not to be missed if you like good food and good company. Dark Sky was a unique experience on our journey through southern Utah. Kanab has so much to offer beyond the obvious access to nearby parks and sites.

This place is pure magic. You feel welcomed the moment you arrive, it has such a warm, friendly vibe. The group area is perfect for hanging out and meeting other campers, and the views… honestly, they’re unbeatable. You can tell it’s family owned because everything feels so cared for and genuine. Oh and the bathroom suites - just wait until you see those!! This was our second visit, and it definitely won’t be our last! Thank you again for such an incredible time.

This place takes the cake! We stayed for one night in 2023 and knew we had to make it back. It was beyond worth the trip from TX! The place is incredible - but even better, the campground hosts and owners. They are personable, caring, interactive with the guests and truly care about the experience their guests have. I've been recommending this place to everyone I can! We had an awesome experience and will be back. I can't emphasis the details they think of enough. It's unmatched at other campgrounds. We will 100% be back. You can't just look at pictures - you have to experience and I hope you all do!

When exploring the charming town of Kanab, a visit to Juniper Ridge Restaurant and Saloon is an absolute must. Nestled just a couple of miles outside the city, this upscale yet laid-back eatery boasts a lovely outdoor patio that offers stunning views of surrounding cliffs and meadows adorned with daisies. The menu features delightful options like spicy Bloody Marys and perfectly cooked calamari to start your meal off right.
Got to know Juniper Ridge Restaurant as one of the recommendations from the Airbnb. Well there isn’t much dining options in Fredonia and they are a really good steak house with generous portions. We ordered the Pan Fried Rib Eye Steak, the Sauteéd Calves' Liver and a salad. The Rib Eye was fantastic, love how it was nicely fried on the outside yet still medium rare on the inside. Love the glazed red wine sauce too! For the Calves Liver, it was our first attempt trying it and it does taste similar to pork liver. So if you are looking for Foie Gras, this is not the dish to look for. Nonetheless, it’s an acquired taste and couldn’t really appreciate it. Really lovely experience and nice service!
Tarcisus H — Google review
Very nice restaurant. It appears relatively new. They have a free shuttle to take you back and forth. Shuttle driver recommended the ribeye. Ribeye was pretty good, but not the best I ever had. The high price warrants something better. Flavor was good, but steak was not real tender. Prices are on the high side, so be prepared. Drinks were good, but they were small and pricey.

Fantastic food. We ordered the cold smoked beef. It "melted" when cut. Ember was our server. She was fantastic too. The bruscheta was amazing.

The food was good. The service was good. Probably the best restaurant in the Kanab area. They even made us items not on the menu. Large portions. The whole family loved it. Just a little more pricey than we expected.

What a great find. We came on an odd night (Sunday, near the closing time), so the place was mostly empty, but still had about 6 tables of hungry customers who couldn't find anything in Kanab, like us. Yet, surprisingly, our waitress Sasha was very attentive and nice, while running around like a headless chicken to serve all the tables by herself. We ordered pork chops, stir fry and Mexican bread pudding for dessert. The chops were sooo tender, juicy and spiced just right. And they came with an amazing side of veggies and loads of bacon, plus a very interesting (read, pleasing) spicy apple chutney. Oh, and the portion was humongous. The stir fry, while a more common and less interesting meal, was very tasty and just as plentiful. The Mexican bread pudding wasn't overly sweet, which was very welcome finish to our amazing experience tonight. Thank you!
Peter B — Google review
The food was alright, I love that the french fries are made fresh. The staff has been super friendly though and the view is spectacular. Live music and an outdoor stage were the main thing here.
Ariana K — Google review
This place has either a restaurant downstairs or a sports bar upstairs. The sports bar has a selection of pub food, the restaurant is a bit more inventive with ingredients and meals in general. We stayed downstairs and had an amazing Buffalo Burger. A great, juicy patty cooked just right. The fries were not ideal but that got solved by the amazing service. Very good craft beer as well (we had Sculpin).
Michal S — Google review
Nice high end, yet relaxed restaurant you wouldn't expect about 2 miles outside of Kanab. Nice outdoor patio with scenic background of cliffs and meadow. There are daisy's throughout the seating area. Started out with a spicy Bloody Mary and Calamari. Both were perfect. I ordered the Oven Roasted Chicken with a demi'glace that had excellent flavor and well presented. I don't usually get excited over vegetables but these get two thumbs up. My bf ordered the Buffalo Burger. It was huge and well presented. He ate every bit and loved it. Two others in our party, got the sirloin. This was the only downfall. They ordered it medium. Both were well done, no pink. We gave the server a little constructive critisism to pass on to the chef. Hopefully, the chef will take heed. All in all, it was a great experience and would recommend.

This is a little outpost in the little town of Kanab that is an arm of the actual animal society up the canyon. If you go here expecting a big experience, you won't. That is saved for that actual location of the society up Kanab Canyon. (I think that's where it is). But they are full of information and if you like cat's and bunnies you can probably pet a few here.

We LOVE this event!!! We've gone to it every year for nearly 15 years! The horse drawn carriages, the Longhorn "cattle drive" down main street. The shops in Kanab. Houston's chicken fried steak for lunch. The vendors. The stars that come to share their stories! Parry's lodge. The movies. The music. The whole event is just wonderful!! It's got to be a lot of work to put on. So definitely mark your calendar to catch it next year!!

Kanab always does a good job with events. The music was good and there were lots of fun food options and vendors. The kids loved the bounce houses. There's usually a fake gun show by some cowboys but Corona shut that down.

Last year I made my first trip from Australia to Kanab, Utah, USA... for the Western Legends Round-Up. As a kid who grew up on Western movies... to come to this great event as an adult was surreal. Not only that.. I was here as as a performing country music artist. Felt right at home. The Parry Lodge is a great place to stay. This festival is a 'must do' for fans of Western movies heritage and music. Love the town, the surrounding landscape, the people... and the Round-up. I'll be back... and bringing some more Aussies with me!

I don't know why my husband's name came up (he did not go with me) and I could not figure out how to change it to mine so here goes. My name is Marlene and I loved Kanab Western Legends Fest. It was like a little piece of Heaven. The people were wonderful and people bent over backward to help you. It was true cowboy style. Instead of doors shutting in your face they were opened by smiling cowboys who tipped their hat to the ladies. The entertainment was wonderful and everyone was so welcoming. My cousin and I went on a one day wagon train and they just were so accommodating and nice. We were lucky enough to get on the wagon with the mules and Casey, Leon and some of their kids were also on the ride. They were very entertaining and even sang a song. My cousin and I also went on a horse drawn wagon to the old fort. We did not have hats or sunscreen and before we knew it we had Brent Chamberlain ride up and give me his cowboy hat and Leon from the wagon train rode up and gave my cousin his cowboy hat and Casey gave us some sunscreen. The hats were a bit big but how many people in the hot Utah sun would give someone the cowboy hat off from their head? The wagon we were on was driven by a really nice guy and his young son. I have to say again I was so impressed with the nice people we met in Kanab. We loved the Roo Arcus concert and meeting the stars. I loved Darby Hinton, Don Collier, Johnny and Bobby Crawford and Wyatt McCrea and Neil Summer and I could go on. What an honor to meet them. Geronimo the play by Rudy Ramos was amazing. If you can go you will be glad that you did. My only complaint was we were to busy. lol Buck Montgomery's wild west show was also amazing. When we were on the one day wagon train ride I fell in a field on some hard ground and I heard a voice say don't get up we will help you and just like that two cowboys were right beside me helping me up. Not my most graceful moment but I was so grateful that they helped me up because I could not have gotten up by myself. If you love the old westerns, cowboys, horses and really nice people go to Kanab you won't regret it. I can't wait to go again. We went last year in 2017.

The roundup was a very good time WITH some exceptions, which are:: The sound system left a very lot to be desired.Standing on left of stands it was very hard to hear a lot of the questions and answers. You could tell that Clint Walker was having a difficult time hearing the questions to him as was other stars. With people talking in background you could hear them better than questions and answers. That should be addressed before next roundup.ALSO the venue at the high school was a little disorganized. people didn't know where or what was what.People were coming in both doors and getting in line in front of people who were there one half to forty five min. I left after waiting one hour and twenty five min. There should be a time limit with Mr.Walker at about ten min.so more people will have a chance to visit.Aside from above it was well worth it to make the trip and Kudos to the woman who did all the work. 22Toms Canyon (Trailhead)

Hiking area
Toms Canyon Trailhead is a pleasant hike located on the edge of town, leading into nearby red rocks. While there may be some confusion due to a housing development's desire to keep cars away from their private community, visitors can easily park in town and walk to the trailhead. The future plan includes parking at Kanab City Center and walking up to 200 North for access.
A very easy trail. Park in the La Estancia neighborhood and walk up the little hill to find Tom's Canyon and Squaw Trailheads. Tom's very quickly makes a sharp left turn up a dirt knoll before wandering up and over the area behind the hikes. The trail mostly follows the wall of the canyon as it rises and falls with the terrain. Roughly halfway through there is a nice lookout over the neighborhood with a bench to rest at. Continue along the trail another mile or so and you will be where the canyon narrows dramatically, and you're walking along the wash. Not too far in and you'll find a beautiful stone table and seating for a picnic. Most folks turn around here, but if you have the most basic rock scrambling ability, please continue deeper in to the canyon. Eventually you'll come to the dead end which is a gorgeous bowl area with water trickling out of the rock, ferns growing, and aside from the drip drip drip you will hear nothing but silence.
Dominic D — Google review
No parking was provided at trailhead as subdivision built up around it. Shouldn’t be listed as public hike if there is no public parking at trailhead.
Amanda R — Google review
Such an enjoyable after dinner hike! I typically made it into the canyon about a mile and then turned around due to time. We stayed in an AirBnB in the neighborhood and could walk to the trailhead.
Claudia B — Google review
Many houses have been (and are still being) built next to the trail. The first part of the trail was displaced due to all the construction so the trail may be subject to washouts. There is a sign to mark the trailhead and an undecipherable sign concerning parking.??
Tim J — Google review
This Trailhead has become confusing because the housing development is wanting to keep cars away from their private community. But, you can easily park almost anywhere in town and walk to this trailhead. The future plan is to park at the Kanab City Center on 100 North 200 East and then walk up to 200 North turn right and there is an access trail there that follows a white fence line under trees behind the El Pueblo Condos.
Carla P — Google review
No parking on La Estancia streetsor you get towed. This neigh orhood is nasty. They think they own the land that they stole from the people. This is such a pretty trail if they hadn't built a house in the middle of the trailhead.
Diana A — Google review
Nice hike. Depending on time of day you can find some shade along the way. The surprise was at the end of the canyon where water was weeping out of the rock. The water drained into a large puddle that the cows have made a mess of. Otherwise very enjoyable hike.
Paul J — Google review
It's a nice hike, but it takes a long time for it to get any good... Much of the walk is spent behind houses and close to streets. I went for 40 min and didn't get to the end, so I'm really not sure how long it actually is

23Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is a vast area spanning 1,200 acres that offers camping and is accessible to off-highway vehicles and dune buggies. The shifting dunes are of a unique hue that changes at sunset, providing a spectacular sight. Visitors can also enjoy sand sledding, which is comparable if not better than the experience offered by Great Sand Dunes National Park due to the shorter and easier walk.
During our stay in Kanab, a visit to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park was a must, and it truly felt like discovering a surreal hidden gem amidst the stunning canyon landscape. Walking on the expansive, soft pink sand dunes and even sliding down a few was such a unique and enjoyable experience. We visited on a beautiful sunny day, which made the colors of the sand even more vibrant. The park is very convenient to access. The $15 entry fee felt reasonable, and we were pleased to find ample parking with an easy, short walk to the dunes. The presence of well-maintained toilets and a small visitor center added to the convenience. We spent a pleasant two hours exploring the dunes and soaking up the sun, but you could easily spend an entire day here if you wished. The only slight drawback during our visit was the presence of some cars and motorbikes driving on the dunes. While it might be an activity some enjoy, the noise did become a bit disruptive to the otherwise peaceful and serene atmosphere after a while. Despite this minor point, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is a truly remarkable place and a fantastic stop for anyone exploring the Kanab area. The unique landscape and the fun of playing on the dunes make it a memorable experience.

We recently visited Utah to see Bryce and Zion national Park. We came across Coral pink Sand Dune park and it was amazing. The highlight of our trip ! The park had easy access, entrance fee was only $15 and Chelsea at the front gate was very pleasant and inviting. We went and explored the sand dunes which were stunning. Then we saw Roam outdoor adventures company, where they were riding UTV on the sand dunes we just had to try it Mikey our tour guide was great. It was an unforgettable experience. It was so invigorating riding the UTV over the sand dunes. Then we got out to see peekaboo slot Canyon, which was amazing. My only regret is that I did not book a longer tour. We will definitely go back and tell everyone about it such great people in Utah and the natural beauty is incredible. A hidden gem for sure.

If you already have a state park pass and are in the area, I'd say this is a nice place to make a quick stop to walk out on the dunes. If you don't have a park pass and aren't in the area, I don't think this is worth seeing. They have dune buggy/OHV tours you can do that looked like fun (if you can go deeper into the park) but we didn't have time to schedule one so we just walked out to see the dunes and walked back. There's an overlook area you can stand on if you don't want to walk in the sand too. This is a dog friendly park but please bring a lot of water for your dog. Also - the sand gets very hot very quickly, so make sure their paws are protected.

This made the third Dunes we've been to but the first one we climbed to the top of the dunes at! And though it's out of the way, as most Dunes tend to be, it was worth the pop in and out. The temps were great for this, being able to walk bearfoot in the sand because it wasn't lava hot, was a first as well! Dog loved it too, and was also happy it was cooler. 🐾 We did not get a sled, but observed others, it didn't seem worth the $25 to get one, let's say that. We all agreed it's not really "pink", moreso orange. The texture of the sand is soft and fine. And if you dig just a tiny bit down, the sand is cool and moist. A fun family trip to check it out was worth it.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park was a great experience. The landscape is stunning… soft pink sand dunes stretching across the horizon with red cliffs and clear skies all around. It’s one of those places that feels completely different from the rest of southern Utah. One of the best things to do there is rent a sandboard or sled from the main park office. They make it easy to get what you need and the gear is in good condition. Sandboarding down the dunes is a blast, especially for kids and anyone looking for something fun and different. The sand is deep and fine, so walking up the dunes takes a little effort, but the views from the top are worth it. You can also bring off-road vehicles if you want to explore the larger dunes on the other side of the park. There are picnic areas, restrooms, and plenty of parking, so it’s easy to spend a few hours or a full day. I definitely recommend it. Whether you’re sandboarding, taking photos, or just enjoying the scenery, Coral Pink Sand Dunes is worth the visit.

Camped in site 31 with our Motorhome and YXZ. We had a group of 13 camping in park and 2 couples in Kanab hotel. They allowed them to come in park there trucks in group area and they left there RZRs in corral at our site at night. Not sure on cost forgot to ask them. Sand dunes are cool if that's your thing. Bathroom and shower facilities are clean and nice. Sites don't have sewer hook up but dump station on site. Water pressure horrible just filled our tanks and used pump. Don't expect wifi it's very spotty so unless you have starlink or something compatible it's hit n miss with Verizon service. Got text but no call reception. So if working be sure you have appropriate equipment. Camp host came over just as we pulled YXZ off trailer telling us don't cut the corners in camp otherwise he has to sweep dirt and rocks back. Lol. Beautiful area lots of deer so be careful driving. We found Sasquatch ❤️😎👊

Beautiful sand dunes; we visited around sunset. We were not disappointed. Some spots are available for picnics/BBQs, although you don't get a view of the sand dunes from there. The best sight is from the viewpoint with a small tribune. A great spot to end the day.

I usually don't do reviews of natural landmarks, but this place is an absolute letdown. Utah definitely shouldn’t sell this as a "state park". It is nothing more than a gigantic ATV race track and OHV staging area. If you are looking for good hikes or simply to enjoy a beautiful scenery - as you can expect when visiting state or national parks - this is not the right place for you. I hiked into the dune field and anywhere you go all you can see is those ATV tracks all over the place, hear the roar of the ATVs all around you, and smell the gasoline in the air. Definitely a fun place for those who come here just for that, or who are willing to spend some bucks to do a guided tour! For the average visitor of state / national parks who are looking for a PRISTINE & SERENE landscape: don't come here!

Moqui Cave, a sandstone erosion cave that once functioned as an illicit speakeasy, now houses a museum and gift shop filled with unique rock specimens. The stunning natural formation boasts a rich history that leaves visitors feeling astounded and humbled to stand within its walls. Nestled on the side of a mountain, the cave offers an incredible view for those who brave the hike up to it.
This place in itself is a cave that now serves as a museum. However the museum is the most impressive part. There are antique pieces from all over the world and rare pieces like mammoth teeth, shark teeth and dinosaur bones and imprints. I’m not into rocks or minerals but the glowing rocks collection is very impressive!! Also the bar from the 50’s is very cool. I’m so glad we made this decision to check it out!

Eclectic and disheveled is how I would sum it up. There's a little bit of this here, little bit of that there, and it all adds up for a delightful stop. Touristy? Sure, ig. But there is a bit of rich history and lore here as well. Take your time and read the stuff and look around. Double back as you may miss something on your first pass. A lot of geology throughout. Some Mormon stuff in the pictures by the gift shop. Yes, there is a large gift shop.

This place was a not to miss stop. Best gift shop in town. The history and the space was incredible. Took very good care of us. Worth every penny of the admission. Grabbed a cold drink there like John Wayne. Bought a couple of rocks. Highly recomend.

I try to go to this place as often as I possibly can. Really cool atmosphere. You can go get some coffee and sit and drink it and right in front of the cave. It's really cool. There's also a museum inside. It's $7 per adult to go walk through it, which is pretty cheap but I had no interest in walking through the museum but still pretty cheap way cool.
Andrew B — Google review
Cool little shop and historic feature. Dinosaur prints, fossils, rock collections, old money from around the world. Overall inexpensive neat little place to have a quick rest and maybe lunch.
Joshua W — Google review
A small cave turned into a charming little museum and gift shop. The welcoming owners are happy to share its history, and even happier to answer your questions.
Yaniv B — Google review
We love quirky museums! Moqui Cave Museum was all of that! Unique. Historical with an interesting twist. Fun. Great artifacts. Rock collection. Artifact collection. Rock shop. Unique and fun gift shop. Enthusiastic staff and ownership. It's a must see if in the area! There is also a fun Cafe food truck with picnic tables right next door. The coffee was great! A family had what appeared to be delicious paninis!

This place was cool. And a total learning experience! If I'm ever in Utah again, I'm definitely coming back
