Brewery
Ukiah Brewing Company, established in 2000 as the country's first certified organic brewpub, has been a staple in Ukiah. Despite changing ownership over the years, it remains committed to offering a diverse selection of house-brewed craft beers. The brewery produces various beer styles including Ukiah Pilsner, Cold IPA, Willits Wit, and Palace Porter. Visitors can enjoy hearty pub fare and live music while sipping on their favorite brews or cocktails at this upbeat venue.
What a fun, funky spot. Fabulous wait staff! Loved the stage area and wished we were here during a live show. The decor and lighting make this a great spot for a date or fun outing with friends. Really enjoyed trying a flight of on-tap selections. Nice that there are 4 and 8 flight options for UBC and other producers. Don't sleep on the in-house desserts!

It is awesome they allow dogs. The place is cute and the fresh roses are a nice touch. The burger is excellent. The fish and chips not so much. The batter was a bit raw/under cooked on the inside. The fries were nice and crisp. The server was nice enough, not helpful with the menu for suggestions. It is downtown so great to walk around and check out the shops
Tammy F — Google review
All I had was a Pint of the Palace Porter. No food for me. I sat at the bar and chatted it up with the locals. Real friendly people and the staff was great. A great micro brew atmosphere. The bar was full when I arrived on a Wednesday at 7:30 with only 2 seats empty. I have no problem coming back to this place. See my YouTube channel Coolest Life.

This is a cozy brewery restaurant with good beer selection and food. It also has a well stocked bar, especially stocked with many additive free Tequilas like Fortaleza, which are hard to find in many bars. Tried the Tuna Poke and the Taco. Food was good, not the traditional recipes, though. The West Coast IPA I tried was balanced and well hoped. I recommend this place for the town visitors who like local brews and seafood.

Tasty lunch, great service, and delicious beers! I especially enjoyed the grilled rock fish tacos. Hope to come back for live music sometime. Pleasant experience. We sat inside, although they also had some nice sidewalk tables for al fresco dining. 🍻

Ukiah Brewing Company is such a great spot downtown! I love the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and wide selection of beers on tap. Their food menu has something for everyone—whether I’m grabbing a casual lunch, enjoying a night out with friends, or bringing the family along. It’s the perfect mix of good food, great drinks, and local charm that makes Ukiah feel like home. My favorites are: Ahi tartar, ceaser with prawns of course, a margarita pizza and add pepperoni, and of course their delicious deep fried green beans and fried pickles are a must!! My favorites drinks are a Paloma, and of course a coke in a bottle! It also helps that my office is directly across the street, it’s truly a gem! – Kasie Gray, Ukiah Realtor® & Community Guide

We ordered pizza and soup of the day. Nice lunch. Great vibes.

Food was delicious. Wife and I both got the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avacados, and tomato) sandwiches with fries. Bartender served up great drinks and gave us some suggestions on things to check out in the area. Would definitely highly recommend this place for food and drinks if you're ever in the area.

Nestled in the charming town of Ukiah, Patrona Restaurant and Lounge is a delightful family-owned establishment that breathes life into a historic brick building once serving as a grocery store. The inviting ambiance features warm lighting and local artisan crafts adorning each table, creating a cozy atmosphere where smiles abound. What truly sets Patrona apart is its dynamic menu, which evolves with the seasons and highlights fresh ingredients sourced from local markets.
We had an amazing dinner in a wonderful setting. The food was Delicious, the cocktail was well balanced, and yummy. (we ordered a second round) There were three different desserts on the table. It was hard to choose a favorite! We look forward to our next dinner at Patrona’s

I was looking for a place to have lunch in Ukiah, somewhere that wasn’t a chain restaurant with the usual frozen until fried to order menu options. Found Patrona and immediately fell in love. It’s an absolute gem with wonderful staff, welcoming atmosphere and the food is FRESH and thoughtfully prepared. It was honestly the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time outside of my own home. Special thanks to Heather, she was a very informative and delightful host. The ingredients are sourced locally so the menu may vary depending on supply and season but you can’t go wrong with anything you choose to order, including the signature cocktails. I personally won’t miss this spot anytime I am in Ukiah!

Had oysters, feta salad, steak tartare. Everything was excellent. The cocktails were strong and flavorful. The oysters were fresh. I enjoyed my shrub cocktail. The steak that we received was much larger than described on the menu. Had a really nice experience with Credence as our server. My only observation is that the menu seemed kind of plain, but if they can make simple things well I guess that's not bad. It just seemed uninspired

I always enjoy the atmosphere here, especially the outdoor seating. The food is sometimes great and sometimes not. Same with the service. It’s a bit pricey for small town Ukiah, but has always been one of my go to restaurants when I’m in town.

The waiter was very good . We really enjoyed his appreciation for his job. And the food soooooo good it makes you want to slap your mamma. Lol. Absolutely worth coming back... I had to come back to add to this review. After trying the 3 sampler plate dessert . CREMEBRULEE, LAVA CAKE WITH COFFEE ICE-CREAM ON TOP,AND PEAR TART and it was sinful.

We ordered from the lunch special menu. The food tasted great, but the portions were on the small side. The restaurant itself is nice. There were two parties going on - happy birthday songs here and there; the world can be very happy!

After a wonderful 10 hour day of driving north on Highway 1 and navigating our way across Mountain View Road (Hwy 253), we landed in Ukiah for the night and were in search of a decent meal. Imagine our surprise when we happened upon Patrona! From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed with true hospitality by our waiter, Nicolás. We sat on the patio and quickly ordered cocktails. Not only was it the best Manhattan we've ever sipped, each was crafted to perfection and the first personally delivered to our table by Creedance. What a great bartender! Between the service we received, the drinks we sipped, the deliciously unique Wedge salad we devoured, and the ambiance we enjoyed, it was a perfect ending to a perfect day. A great restaurant is hard to find. Great service, even harder. And we aren't easy to impress on both fronts. The team at Patrona exceeded our hopeful expectations for the evening and we can't wait for our travels to bring us back for many repeated experiences. We hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoyed ours!

Best dinner for my birthday. I was just loved their greens salad and the balsamic vinegar dressing was outstanding. Had their salmon with roasted romaine lettuce with small roasted potatoes. All of this on an incredible creamy white sauce. I have got to go back and try this again. I also tried my first mock drink. We were both happy at our menu choices. The waitress was wonderful and kind. Her name was Marie. Thank you Patrona

Oco Time is a well-liked Japanese restaurant situated in downtown Ukiah, offering a variety of sushi, tempura, and noodles. The intimate eatery prides itself on being a 'California-Japanese restaurant' and is renowned for its unique dishes. Visitors are encouraged to try the Oco dish or opt for popular sushi rolls like 'One Love' and 'Rainbow'. It's advisable to make reservations due to its popularity.
A wonderful dining experience! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. For a true taste of okonomiyaki (OCO), this place is a must-visit.

This cosy Asian Restaurant does not only serve a range of Japanese cuisines, they also offers a delightful range of Vegetarian-friendly options, including their signature Okonomiyaki and beautifully crafted Sushi-Rolls made with fresh vegetables, tofu and creative plant-based ingredients. Vegetarian Okonomiyaki includes dish name “Earthy”that has toppings of Mushrooms & Green Onions, and “Guardians” that has Broccoli, Yam, Kabocha Pumpkin as toppings instead. As for Vegetarian Sushi Rolls, Tofu Delight Roll, Raven Roll, Vege Vege Roll, Magic Dragon Roll and Veggie Popper Roll tasted as good as their names. Overall, its a good spot for anyone seeking a flavourful vegetarian Asian-Japanese dining experience or together with their companions who wants meat option instead.

This place has made my overall top 3 list for sushi places ever! The cashews added so much to the rolls! It’s a must visit if you are in Ukiah. Was even still good after I refrigerated the leftovers.

It was my first time to visit Ukiah. The town is lovely. There are some restaurants that you can try. I had a good time at Oco Time, a japanese restaurant. They have vegetarian menu for you to choose. I had sushi, fried tempuras, and Oco dish. I like them all. I will come back.
Thuy L — Google review
I ordered the tofu tempura and veggie Oco to-go on a busy thursday night. My food took a long time (it was ready an hour after I ordered it) as I think the restaurant was packed. Tempura was really yummy!! The Oco was weird but tasty, love the cabbage and amount of veggies, I ordered both sweet and spicy sauce, portion was huge and I had it for lunch the next day. The squash on the top were undercooked which was a shame because it would have been really tasty otherwise but this kind of detracted from the whole dish.

This is our special date night spot, the atmosphere is so chill and makes for a great date to chat about our week. The food is immaculate and always made with sunder quality ingredients. The staff are all so nice and friendly, always remember the little details.

Finally got to try Oco Time last week and we're so excited we did. The food and service were great! Our server Sebastian was helpful in recommending several vegan sushi rolls. Oco has the most extensive vegetarian and vegan options I've ever seen at a sushi restaurant. We tried several rolls and an appetizer, and each was unique and delicious. We sat outside because my wife is immune compromised but Sebastian did a great job at serving us. We are already looking forward to going back to try the Oco special which is a Japanese savory pancake.
Michael M — Google review
BEWARE!! The prices Oco shows on Google Maps are wrong. A 9 piece sashimi plate is shown as $16, but I was charged $21, that's almost a 30% increase. The hamachi kama jumped from $18 to $25. That's an almost 50% increase! WOW! My bill got jacked up to $150.33, before tip. The hamachi kama was nigh upon excellent, spiced to perfection, no additional sauce needed. The hamachi kama was slightly overcooked, rendering the flesh a bit hard and dry, requiring a little moistening soy sauce. I make my own sashimi sauce, regular and low sodium soy sauce based, with hints of sesame oil and Sriracha sauce, so plain soy sauce was a little underwhelming. And to compound the errors Oco gave no wassabi, and just a couple of napkins. The ahi sashimi was beautiful, translucent, without the slightest hint of connective tissue or blood. Sadly the texture was a little pasty and the ahi was devoid of that characteristic rich flavour. The salmon was peach-orange, rich and creamy, but lacking that latent sweetness that makes you think of candy with each bite of salmon. The seared albacore was OK, nothing to write home about. A little wassabi might have rescued it. The smoked salmon was quite good, but not my thing. I am partial gravad lax, no smoke required, so I found this smoked salmon a bit jarring. I think that with a little palate education, and an accompanying glass of warm saki, I might come to enjoy smoked salmon. I was curious as to how a fish as oily as mackerel might work as sashimi ... it did not work for me. It was rock hard, generally tasteless with a strong medicinal-chemical undertone. To my mind there are better and more appropriate uses for mackerel. Recommendation: AVOID, overpriced hit or miss dishes. Failure to provide wassabi is unforgivable.

Regal Ukiah is a top-notch movie theater complex with multiple screens, plush seating, and a concession stand. It offers state-of-the-art facilities that enhance the movie-watching experience and regularly showcases the latest Hollywood films. The theater is a favorite community gathering place for both residents and visitors, providing an opportunity to catch the latest blockbusters. Despite some feedback about ticket prices and concessions, it remains a popular choice due to its comfortable seating and family-friendly atmosphere.
"I had a wonderful experience watching Fantastic 4 first & James Gunn's Superman 2025. The theaters were nice and cold, with great selections from the snack bars and drinks. Overall 10/10 for the movies and service."

The regal movie theater is clean and spacious. Extremely expensive but what isn't anymore. However, they posted that the movie started at 4:00 p.m. The movie did not start until 4:30. P.m.!!!! We had to sit there and watch 30 minutes of previews of other movies and advertisement after advertisement. After advertisement I almost got up and walked out between tickets and popcorn and soda and one bag of candy $60. Later I'm watching advertisements for 30 minutes. Unacceptable
Erin Z — Google review
we paid extra online for our tickets to get reserved seating for our party of 12 but when we walked into the theater there were people sitting in our row and they told us they were told to sit wherever they wanted when they bought their tickets upfront. Like ??? Ok??? Why are you asking us to pay extra and not even giving us our seats we paid for?

Natural goods store
Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op, located in Ukiah, is a cooperatively owned store that has been serving the community since the early 70s. It offers a variety of healthy and natural products, including local produce and bulk options like rice, granola, tea, beans, and spices. The co-op also provides home and beauty products that are trusted by its customers. Visitors can support the Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County by rounding up their purchases at the register.
Now this place has some serious food! A little on the pricey side, but you're getting what you pay for, and you're paying for excellence! I always like to come here and buy peanut butter. And Almond Butter. Really, just whatever butter I can even find. It's a wonderful place to be, and the atmosphere is breathtaking. The people here will service you and they will service you well! Super Healthy. Live Healthy, become sexy! If you will just look at my photos, you will see that I obviously have been living healthy for a very long time. Duh! Peace be with you my brothers and lovers!

My wife and I love this place. Highlights include an excellent coffee selection, refillable water station with alkaline water, high quality meat and chicken, local Mendocino flour, and many other locally sourced foods. Everything is really good quality. The cafe/fresh food section is great too. I wish they sold seafood here.

Customers: Please be nice to your cashiers! If not nice, then be polite. Smells good in there, I think. Come experience Ukiah's diverse health, holistic foods, and eavesdrop local gossip. Clean and safe environment. I did hear someone say that someone saw a rat outside, "Get the manager!" But, that's where rats are supposed to be!

I joined The Ukiah Coop in the early 70s. Yes, Ukiah Natural Foods is still cooperatively owned. I am member number 48. I remember when it was next to the railroad tracks and it was called The Homestead Exchange. We could order fruit trees, and get staples, like brown rice at a cheaper price. When I visit Ukiah, I like to drop in to the "Coop" and see what is new or whom I might run in to. It is a great place to run into old friends if you become a regular. I love that you can buy things in bulk, and bring your own container (and keep plastic out of landfills). They have bulk honey, oils, nuts, seeds, beans, herbs and spices, and even sell shampoo, and essential oils in bulk. They have beautiful displays of organic fruit and vegetables. You can buy prepared foods and eat inside their new dining area. Or get a really great coffee drink or smoothie. If you don't live in the area, you might want to make a plan to drop by and see what you might find.

Ellie's Mutt Hut is a charming cafe that offers a wide array of Mediterranean dishes, with plenty of options for vegans. It's known for its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for breakfast and lunch along Highway 101. The menu features a mix of comfort food like sausage patties and flapjacks, as well as healthier options such as tofu scramble and avocado toast. The outdoor shaded patio provides a pet-friendly dining space.
Ellie's Hut in Ukiah is consistently fantastic! I always go for the chicken and brown rice with yogurt…it’s a perfect combination of flavors and always hits the spot. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. The menu offers a great variety, catering to different tastes, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend checking it out!

Delicious chilaquiles, average french toast. I was about to give this a bad rating when I noticed breakfast was supposedly only served until 11 (I detest it when restaurants have a random cutoff to stop serving certain dishes; seriously, WHY?), but whee waiters were super friendly and accommodating and still took our order for chilaquiles and french toast even though it was after mid day. This fact alone is principally responsible for my 5 star rating! :-)

Such a cute little place. They have amazing food. My favorites are Chicken & Brown Rice, Chicken Linguine and my all time favorite is their Butternut Squash Soup. The soup is one of a kind, it has very strong pepper warm sensation but is also kinda sweet. I've bought the same soup else where and it's never the same and is trash compared to Ellies. The employees are always kind, it's very clean and a great atmosphere. Oh yes also their blackberry and peach cobblers are amazing as well.

I absolutely love this place. It was cool and comfortable. I had green yea and an Affogato. Oh boy! That's good. I HIGHLY recommend.

The food is good, but the service is terrible. The staff members are polite, but sadly incompetent and slow. The business also exhibits what I would consider unethical, shady business practices. Once our food was delivered, our waitress never came back to check on us. We waited a long time and essentially felt abandoned. The table next to us was the same. The waitress delivered the wrong order to a couple and never came back. After being unable to get anyone's attention, the husband eventually took his wife's plate up to the counter and asked for the correct order. We had to go up ourselves to get a take out container and pay. When we did, the lady flipped the register tablet asking for a tip... Here's where it gets shady. On the tablet, it gives you 3 big button tip options going in what is typically reverse order everywhere else: you can either tip 25% (the leftmost option), 20% (the middle option) or 18% (the far right option). Then at the bottom is a much smaller option for custom tip. I bet a lot of seniors and visually impaired people push the 25% button thinking they're choosing 15%. Plus, I'm pretty sure the waitress charged us incorrectly. It seemed to be more expensive than it should have been. After waiting so long for any service, I didn't raise a fuss and ask to see an itemized bill, I just wanted to leave. We'll never return.

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Lobster 🦞 mac-n-cheese is delicious 😋. Scallop risotto is heavenly 😋. The dessert 🍨 was amazing. Very busy for Saturday night, but they made room for us at 7 pm the prime hour. Can't say a single bad word. Second visit, equally exquisite. Met the owner Matt, a great guy. I got a special treat for Father’s Day, a chance to try a new restaurant and see all of my children and their significant others. Our county seat is in Ukiah and this restaurant is on the north side downtown. It is an interesting area with good food and shopping. This location is fun and bright and had a great deal of activity. We were greeted and quickly sat. My kids are full of questions and the staff handled them wonderfully. We tried a diverse sense of meals Rock Cod Picatta, my son’s choice was crisp, perfectly cooked and fabulous. My eldest and her husband had the seafood tower, it was amazing and super fresh like it was just caught that day. The filet my daughter had was cooked to perfection, rich and hearty with tasty scallops. Her BF had the seafood bake which reminded me of boils from the south, it was a meal fit for a king. I am a fan of short ribs and they are one of the most underrated of meats, plus probably tough to cook by how different they can be. LeftCoasts were tender and able to be separated by a fork alone, a super choice. I had the lobster tale and split it between my kids. I was told this was an offshoot of Scoma’s, a place I would not miss when I was in San Francisco, this Ukiah jewel has joined that list. I totally forgot about what I liked best from the experience and 🫵 might all laugh, but I’m infatuated with French Fries. A must for you to order here is the Poseidon Fries which we devoured in less than a minute. ❤️

I can't get enough of this place! Seafood, beef, veggies -- it's all fantastic. The tap list includes Russian River and you can never go wrong with that. Service is fantastic as well. The prices are completely reasonable given the quality of everything. Highly, highly recommend.

Heard good things about this place and decided to finally check it out. Arrived around 5 pm on a Friday with no wait. For starters, we ordered half plate oysters and a fish taco, both fresh and delicious! My husband got the short rib entree while I ordered the lobster roll, so flavorful! However, the dessert is what knocked this review from a 5 to 4… the cheesecake did not have the right texture and the tiramisu lacked cream.

First time here on a Friday night. It was packed! Luckily, we got in before the crowd showed up. Ordered 2 of the rock cod. Amazing! Cooked well and very delicious. 2 salmon...also delicious. Short ribs were amazing too. Crab dip. Calamari. The beet salad was amazing! Had 2 of the amazing bread pudding. Cheesecake. Creme brulee and apple fried thing. The best was the bread pudding. We sat outside. They turned on the heaters for us. Would definitely be back for more!

Pizza restaurant
Round Table Pizza is a well-established chain known for its customizable pizzas, allowing guests to choose their favorite toppings and sauces in a casual setting. While some past experiences have highlighted issues with the crust and temperature of the pizza, recent visits reveal a positive transformation. After an eight-year hiatus, one guest returned on Mother's Day to find the restaurant beautifully remodeled—bright, clean, and spacious with comfortable seating.
I haven’t been here in about 8 years! We stopped in today for Mother’s Day and were very impressed with all aspects of our visit. New remodel was bright, clean, spacious and welcoming with comfortable seating. Our food was fresh, hot and delicious. Parmesan twists were loaded with cheese and fresh garlic. Maui Zaui was the best I’ve had, sauce was definitely a 10/10. Everything was high quality, and the crusts were perfectly cooked (there was a long-standing issue with dough-y crusts that kept me away for many years, so good job with that improvement!). The service was also wonderful. Soda fountain drinks were also perfect. Everyone was happy with lunch 💜 we will see you again soon!

I’m beyond disappointed with our visit to Round Table in Ukiah. We ordered as a family for a birthday party, and while the restaurant was busy, there’s no excuse for what happened. We waited **1.5 hours** for our food, and none of us were able to eat together. It was frustrating and made our special occasion feel like a disaster. On top of that, when we asked for a side of red sauce after the long wait, they had the nerve to charge us. Really? After keeping us waiting so long, you’re going to nickel and dime us for something so basic? To make matters worse, the staff was rude, and the manager was completely dismissive when we expressed our frustration. No apologies, no attempt to make things right—just an overall terrible attitude. Even though the restaurant was busy, it’s no excuse for such poor service. We won’t be coming back to this Round Table, and I’d suggest others avoid it too. Plenty of other places in Ukiah know how to treat their customers better.

Newer remodel, looks great but I liked it before, lighting was lower. It nice to see the park though. Great staff. So nice and helpful. Sure the prices were lower. Hit my wallet hard enough. We had 16 people. My brother and wife were here from Delaware and they are from this area when we were younger. No Round Table Pizza on the" lower, slower Eastern shore " so that's where I planned our lunch. Me , little brother and my kids and Grand Kids. It was the best ever day.

On December 30, my son turned 21 and he chose Round Table for our family celebration. There were 12 of us and when we showed up, there were a few other customers sitting down, but nobody else in line. When we entered the store, the lady at the register was taking a phone order and she did not, at any point in time, attempt to say hi to us or otherwise acknowledge us. When she got off the phone, there was no apology for the delay. We should have taken this as the first red flag but my son REALLY wanted his Round Table lol When we tried to utilize a coupon, she couldn't figure out how to use it, and 3 times told us that it had expired, even though we pointed out to her a few times that the expiration date was the next day (12/31). She ultimately told us that it was for online orders only, even though it didn't state that on the coupon and the coupon itself said "present to cashier". But at this point in time we decided to just drop it. We took our table and patiently waited for our food, enjoying my son's birthday and our family time. After about 45 minutes we received our garlic bread, and about 10 minutes after that, one of the pizzas. Mind you, we couldn't all eat that pizza, due to preferences (it was an all-meat pizza and there were vegetarians and non-pork eaters in the group). We went up to check on the rest of the food and we were told that they were just preparing our other pizzas. During this time, my nephew went up to purchase a beer. He stood at the counter for 15-20 minutes and not a single person acknowledged him (even after multiple employees noticed/ walked past him). At this point in time, it had been 1.5 hours since we had first ordered our food, and it was still not at the table. My mother went up to check on the food and to also speak to the manager, who rudely yelled at my mom across the kitchen that "she didn't have time to talk to her". Finally, our food arrived and the rest of the party was able to eat. This was a very disappointing experience because we came to celebrate a birthday and 1/3 of the group was full by the time the rest of us even received our food. Now, what happened next is what I really want to call attention to. We packed up our things and my mom and sister went to speak with the manager about the overall experience. My mom calmly asked to speak to the manager, who once again yelled at her that she couldn't. My mom repeated herself and asked again, requesting just a few minutes of her time, at which point this manager yelled in front of everyone, including her staff and some other customers "you want me to stop making other customers' food so you can talk to me?". Uh, yes lady, that's your job. She came over and was very aggressive from the beginning. My mom tried explaining what had happened and our experience, and the manager walked away, yelling once again. "You were told when you came in that we are running behind tonight". No, not one of us was told this. Had we been warned that our food was going to take over 1.5 hours to make, we would have chosen to go somewhere else where we would have also been treated better. This "manager" was so rude and condescending to everyone in our group. Not one time did she apologize or ask us how she could make things right for us, which is what an actual manager should do. I don't know if she has received any management training but she doesn't know how to run a store and REALLY doesn't know how to treat customers. We spent over $350 that night - for that much $ we could have gone to a sit-down restaurant where we would have been treated much better. A few other customers saw this interaction and walked out after us. In a small town like Ukiah, this restaurant should be more careful about the customer experience because people are going to choose to go to Slam Dunk or Mountain Mike's instead. I seriously suggest that the store owner and/ or corporate looks into this further before you lose your entire customer base.

I would give this place better stars except there's no possible way to enjoy yourself eating here with that door alarm going off the entire time. It's torture for any customer to have to sit in a restaurant and listen to a noise like that. The service was fine and so was the food but the atmosphere is completely uninviting.

On Saturday Aug 2nd 2025 I attempted to take my family here from out of town. didn't stay. they are infested with Ants... especially near the soda machine. completely disgusting. if I could give negative stars I would...

The service was good. They were prompt with our order. It was quiet, ahd comfortable. The food was lacking s bit. Pizza was a bit too crispy, and the mozzarella sticks were difficult to chew. The jalapeno poppers for good though.

I will never go back to Round Table Pizza. I tried to order online but their site "wasn't working" again. So no coupons. Next, when I called in my order I told them I had a $25 gift card that I wanted to use. They said it wouldn't be a problem. It was from Round Table Pizza in Ukiah! However, when my wife got there to pick up the pizza they said they couldn't accept it. That is illegal in California. You can't deny gift cards that you sell. This place is a complete ripoff. Their pizzas are way too expensive and they aren't very good. I wanted to give them another try, but never again. I will not go back.

Traditional American restaurant
Windmills Cafe is a delightful spot that offers a classic diner experience with an extensive menu filled with affordable and hearty meals. While the service can be hit or miss during busy times, patrons often rave about the delicious coffee and well-cooked bacon. The cafe boasts a lovely outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the shade, along with ample off-street parking. With numerous options to choose from—including various mimosas—it's an ideal place to satisfy your cravings without straining your wallet.
First time going here. The food was well worth the wait. The waitress was incredibly attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable. I plan on coming back.

This place has a cute outdoor patio and is decorated festively inside. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food portions & flavor were average for the price. The coffee was excellent. The staff was great. My family was passing through on a Sunday afternoon, we were able to sit immediately & our food came out hot & pretty quickly. If I lived here, I'd visit again.

I was going to eat at that other place around the corner but I couldn't find a place to park, so when I spotted a spot right in front of the Windmills Café, I nabbed it. The Homeless Wanderer that approached me explained that the crime rate has escalated dramatically since he's come to town, and he'd be willing to make sure nobody breaks into my truck while I'm in the restaurant...for a small fee of course. He said the chicken and rice dinner is excellent here and the wait person will be happy to bring it right out to me while I guard your truck! It's a small price to pay, so I agreed...and the chicken and rice dinner was Amazing! 5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆

My family and I recently had lunch here. The food was OK. The service was OK. But when I used the restroom, which was still wet from being mopped and cleaned, I was met with a urinal , with feces in it and a sign saying " out of order ". It wasn't. It just needed to be. cleaned . Pure laziness and unwillingness to deal with it. I might also add that we were one of only 2 tables at that time. If you aren't going to clean it,at least cover it up. Really gross. Also the iced tea tasted soapy.

Solid diner-style meals; affordable and filling if not overly flavor (at least, my breakfast wasn’t). The coffee was great, and the side of bacon was cooked well. There are a TON of options to pick from on the menu, including more than half a dozen different mimosas. Also, there’s a really nice patio with plenty of outdoor seating in the shade, at least in the morning. Plentiful off-street parking in their lot. All things considered, a good spot to stop and fill your belly without breaking the bank.

I have been there for breakfast and lunch also. I would honestly say that the food quality earns the restaurant one star, I have had better quality from the kitchen at plowshares! As far as the atmosphere, the restaurant at least should be remodeled and updated. I understand the restaurant to be under New Management, and apparently the new owners don't care about return customers. I would personally be ashamed to take anybody that I cared anything about to that restaurant.

4 biscuits and gravey were 2 small biscuits in half, waitress didn't give any refills on coffee or soda, pancakes were nothing to brag about either. Apparently the biscuits themselves were really good. The thing we were most disappointed in was the service and we believe it's because we are not locals. I tip 20% minimum, not this time. Oh and same waitress got another table and greeted them with enthusiasm.

Nestled along the northern route in California, Villa Del Mar is a delightful gem for those craving authentic Mexican cuisine. This charming eatery boasts an extensive menu that caters to all tastes, featuring mouthwatering options like fish, shrimp, and carne asada tacos. Diners rave about the perfectly crisp fish tacos and appreciate the unique salsa bar stocked with carrots and mild jalapeños—an uncommon treat! The warm atmosphere is enhanced by friendly service from a caring family who runs the restaurant.
A wonderfully delicious, authentic big time, a fantastic menu with many things I've had from the carne asada, camerones, snapper, fajitas, fish tacos either fried or grilled, amazing chili relleno, enchiladas and much more. A sweet, caring, loving, very friendly family owns and runs. It's awesome.

Really great little Mexican food restaurant that we stopped at on our way north. It is difficult to find decent Mexican food this far up CA and most of the places I get recommended never scratch the itch since SoCal Mexican food is always on another level. We got fish, shrimp, and carne asada tacos and all were really good. They had a really big menu so seems like they got something for everyone. Servers were incredibly nice. Will definitely be back if I’m in town :)

Todd Grove Park is a beloved green space in Ukiah, situated on the western edge of the city. The park features various play areas for children, including a towering rocket ship that kids can climb to the top. Visitors reminisce about annual Easter egg hunts and family reunions at the picnic area. Some express concern about safety due to falling tree branches and lack of smooth pathways for strolling with young children.

We stopped here for a picnic lunch after Vichy Springs. Very nice park. The swimming pool was closed for the summer in September. Apparently high school swim team access only. A local grandma told how she climbed the rocket ship feature as a child, but could not fit into it now as an adult.

Peaceful. There's a really great tree for climbing. You'll know it when you see it. Ate some sushi with Michela on a bench and walked to get ice cream. She got spunch bob and I got spidey. Low Gap Park, located in the west hills of Ukiah, spans 80 acres and has a rich history as it was previously used as a dump, lumber mill, and millworkers housing development. The park features remnants of its past uses. Visitors can enjoy off-leash dog areas, playgrounds, a skate park, disc golf course, picnic spots, hiking trails of varying difficulty levels suitable for all ages and abilities.
Was staying in Ukiah the Sunday night of Labor Day weekend, on my way from Redwood State Park to Sacramento. Went for the City View trail Monday morning. Tried getting to the U via the U Access Trail, but it was getting too steep and long, and needed to be back at the hotel to checkout by 11, so didn't go to the summit. Some people later told me that it was quite far, so good decision. Still a good trail run - 4 miles total with 900 ft elevation gain.

Great frisbee golf course! One of the best! Also hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty suited for anyone... Creeks with salamanders and frogs, mushrooms, ferns and small redwoods. Safe fenced in dog park and a skateboard park out front. Barbecues picnic tables and two children playgrounds also available.

Love this park. It has everything: Tennis courts, skate park, archery range, disk golf, playgrounds, a dog park, and more. Great place for a BBQ picnic. Could probably use better security, though. You might encounter some people who are on drugs, or high schoolers smoking pot on the playground. Not always super family friendly.

Sooooo happy we found this place. Ukiah is a great stopping place on our travels and finding somewhere our dog can run around safely while keeping our kid entertained is invaluable. Not only do they have two large areas where dogs can run off leash, there's great playgrounds, a skate park, disc golf course, a picnic area, and hiking trails. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful park and separate dog parks for small and big dogs. There’s so many trails. The scenic trail is very long and definitely worth it when you get to the top and it still continues along the west mountains. Some of the trails have redwood trees. One redwood on the water trail, the closest one to the park.

I went home and realized they took out matts rinse them off did not dry them put all Matt’s back in wet! the back third seat put that Matt backwards and did not vacuum the rug! Front right Matt had mess in the lower right corner that they didn’t clean! They didn’t vacuum the rug in back seat. Didn’t clean the back seats nor the third back seats! I’m glad I didn’t pay the $48 wash! But still pricey💰 I should have known because they were quick! I had heard they do terrible work but I gave them a chance! My last time I go there ago!😠

My visit to this car wash was a frustrating and potentially damaging experience. My car is fully automated, and the side mirrors are designed to fold in for protection. Despite my mirrors being clearly folded in, an employee decided to manually force them open, risking serious damage to my car's electronic system. When I tried to reach out to management about the issue, I called the business number seven times during operating hours, and no one answered. The lack of concern for customer property and the complete absence of customer service are alarming. If you're looking for a place that doesn't care about your car's safety and is impossible to get ahold of, this is the place for you. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere to avoid a similar situation.

Last week, I called as many shops I could think of, to ask about the price of a simple oil change. Redwood tree station, had the best price, only blocks away from me and available anytime the same day. What could be any better than that? They also have a very nice waiting room with free wi-fi,. I was done, In less than an hour. I left with a smile, until I turned on my A/C on, set at Max. The cold air always blew out very strong, it dryed my face in seconds. This time. I got no cold air. No air was coming out the vents, it sounded like it was blowing fine, good and loud in the the dash, as usual. I keep the same settings all summer long. All i know is. It worked perfectly, when I took it in, But,,,,,did not work the same, when I took it home.. called the place about it. They said they would look at it on Tuesday for me. , when left there tuesday, I felt as if they did not believe me, as if i knew it was broken, and i was trying to get a freebe. So again, I said, It worked when I got here and did not work the same when left. I notice, it was off, as turned into traffic. That meant someone there had turned it off. Or disconnected something when the oil change was done. They looked for and found the problem found a problem, they said they fixed it already. Graig, walked with me out to my truck. He opened the right front door then took out the glove box he then pointed out what what they had repaired. I did see the part, but from my line line of vision, I did not see a JB weld repair. Now that ive had time to think about this. I have not heard that they invented instant j B weld oug it unders that does it does happen to a Ford explorer 4x4 with almost 300,000.00 on it already. They did do a temporary fix on what they thought was the problem at no charge. Then the story took a left turn, He told me that it was only a temporary fix... it would break again. I was incuraged, to bring it back to them when it broke. I would save money if i did. THEY already diagnosed the problem. Other shops would changed for the diagnostic to find the problem! Why would he say that, I know what they said the problem was wouldn't I tell them? Was I being coned by him, I think so, and the entire business was part of it. No way they wouldnt know. Only 1,500 bucks, wow what a deal i was offard, to do permanent fix. I'm sure they would just re-connect the compressors hose they popped off. That is one of two things that it could be. The unit works and cold air is blowing under my dash, some thing is not conected is not connected under there. This is a true story. My story started on Friday August 8th 2025 it is not resolved and its August 16th. Up dates to fallow. more if i took it somewhere eles for the permanent repair it will need. I did appreciate what they had done. Im pertty sure I Thanked them way to many times. I left got a block and half away and had to stop at a Red light. I got hot waiting at the red light, so, I turned on the AC on Max cool, Max air, nothing had had changed. NOTHING. It was the same as it was when I came in. No air from the vents on the dash. Nothing was different, i believed him because after he replaced the glove box back, he placed his hand right in front of a dash vent and said,"see? Air is blowing out just fine." Good flow now. Then he turned it off, I believed him and got in my seat to leave, I gox t the corner and stopped at the red light, turned the knob to max air, but got no air. I was disgusted by then, I was dripping in sweat and didn't have the relief I was accustom too. The relief I had, pr until I got the best priced oil change, and took it there. I honestly feel, they had created a situation that would make me come back for a very expensive repair. At a reduced price of course... It was glaringly obvious to me.they had not repaird the part, or it would have changed, it was the same. What I will happily take it to the air conditioning repair shop in town and pay for a diagnostic and a permanent repair to be done. I will not return to them for anything.

Two cars taking their months apart even worse results the second time. Never take your vehicle here. The car is almost dirtier than when I brought it there, there's a residue on the hood and the driver side of the car. Oh and their car wash ripped off one of my (new) carpool lane stickers, there's some scratch and residue on my trunk lid that was not there beforehand. This is the second time I've brought one of my vehicles to Redwood tree service station, the first time they did just as bad if not worse of a job on my other car.

This is a super cool pitstop if you are driving along Highway 101 through Ukiah. Here’s the backstory according to the plaque outside. The “World’s Largest Redwood Tree Service Station” opened in 1936 when North State Street was Highway 101. The massive tree was over 1500 years old when it was carefully selected from a grove of monster redwoods 17 miles west of Ukiah. It was quartered and reassembled in its present location. Today the tree is a museum with many automotive relics, and vintage photographs. Visitors are always welcome to visit and experience the history of Ukiah’s iconic tree.

The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is a spacious monastery and Buddhist community located in Ukiah, Northern California. It offers an ornate temple, schools, library, and lush gardens. Visitors are transported to the Far East upon entering its gates and can witness the impressive temple of the Ten Thousand Buddhas. The city is home to over 100 monks and nuns and provides a peaceful oasis for learning about Buddhism through various events, activities, and classes.
What a special place! Had the fortune of walking around the grounds as a visitor on a lovely spring afternoon. Enjoyed the visitors center with the back story of the facility. So fun to peep out the windows at all the peacocks wandering about. Beautiful, serene, and vibrant. Lovely landscaping and beautiful spirit. Thanks!
Anne W — Google review
We went in an early afternoon mid September. Not many visitors around. A volunteer approached us and told us about stories from the early days - how the peacocks came to be, how the well was successfully found after many attempts etc. We also went to visit the Buddha hall. Some ceremony was going on and we enjoyed listening for a few minutes. It was a fun stop while exploring what Ukiah has to offer.

Such a calm and beautiful place. Very peaceful inside the main temple. Plenty of peacocks all around and all of them are displaying their beauty to the peahens. Peacocks are friendly and not afraid of humans. There is a vegan restaurant inside and the food is amazing. This restaurant is only open in the afternoon.

Very informative exhibit room, well worth checking out for the historical perspective. Then go see the 10,000 buddas! There were services going on when we were there, so we tried to stay quiet and respectful, but the chanting made it even more breathtaking. I'm so grateful that they welcome visitors.

Amqzing Monastery . The person at the administrative office is very helpful and guides what to visit and shares the details of how it became what is it today. Lots of peacock including a white peacock.Buddha Hall is especially mesmerizing . It has 10000 gold buddhas and large meditation hall. They were offering 15 books for free . Wish I could see their vegan/ vegetarian cafe.

Beautiful temple, it is very peaceful to sit inside the main shrine area. Lots of peacocks wandering around. There is also a great vegetarian restaurant on site open for lunch most days.

So peaceful enjoyed the visit, They don’t ask you any money to get in but it’s your wish to donate or not m, and books in there are absolutely free you can utilize to get knowledge, so much to learn, must visit.

Tranquil trip to this pleasant spot. You can feel the energy resonating from historical artifacts. Definitely need a car to drive in but can walk from the visitor center to the hall and have lunch at the restaurant. Peacocks everywhere during my short lunch trip but I see deer whenever I drive by. Would be cool to experience a night stay.

In Ukiah, there's a long-standing Thai restaurant that has become a local favorite over the years. It's conveniently located off the 101 highway and is worth a visit for its delicious dishes. The restaurant boasts clean and stylish decor, accommodating staff, and can cater to groups of up to 20 people. Diners recommend trying the green or yellow curry, as well as the duck dish.
Their food is always amazing. Love the chicken larb, tom kha, green curry. The atmosphere is cozy and mellow.
C S — Google review
Pleasant environment. I don't have enough experience with the food to make further comment. The basil fried rice I had was good but I wouldn't mind more intense flavoring from basil, etc. Several vegan options.
E. B — Google review
We had two appetizers and three entrees. Since I have a low tolerance for spicy food we made sure the noodle dish ordered for me was not going to be too spicy. I really love those rice noodles! I tried the other two entrees and they were pretty hot. The tofu appetizer dipped in either peanut sauce or sweet and sour was very tasty. Our preference for no onions or garlic was not a problem as it is for many restaurants. This is a sign that everything is made from scratch, not assembled ahead of time. Vegan friendly!
Elizabeth B — Google review
Best Thai food in the area. Wonderful atmosphere, very relaxing, and great service. We had the best time here. The outdoor seating area is beautiful. We had the pumpkin curry, which was delicious! And the Tom kha was so good as well. Don’t skip the dessert! A+
Una M — Google review
This place was amazing!! Perfect for us vegans passing through. The mango curry was the highlight, so fire 🔥 so creamy and sweet 🤤 but the drunken noodles were also very tasty- tofu wasn’t crispy but didn’t mind at all.

Great food and lovely ambience! This home turned into restaurant has it's own charm. The decorations on the wall are gorgeous. Its location is a bit odd but outdoor seating is well enclosed and calm. The service was efficient. I had a lunch special bamboo shoot curry with Tofu and fried tofu for appetizer, both were good.

If you like Thai food you struck gold in Ukiah. This place has been a mainstay in the community for many decades because it’s just so good. Stop here if you’re just driving by on the 101. It’s worth penciling into your itinerary during a trip. The restaurant is clean in and out with decor that is cool to look at. The staff are great help! This place can accommodate a party of maybe 20. The Green and yellow curry or a duck dish is my recommend.

Jyun Kang Vegetarian Restaurant in Ukiah offers a delightful dining experience with its fresh and healthy vegan Chinese cuisine. The restaurant, located within a Buddhist temple, provides a serene and peaceful setting for indulging in artfully crafted vegetarian dishes. Visitors are encouraged to dress modestly and be respectful of the tranquil surroundings. The menu features delectable options such as curry stir-fried noodles and spring rolls at unbelievably low prices.
A must try if you enjoy vegetarian dishes. The menu is not overwhelming. You will find options sure to please. The dining room is modest. Service was good. Appropriate for this community. Portions are fair. Quality is very good. Prices are reasonable. We were satisfied and will be back.

Indulging in the artful vegetarian creations meticulously crafted by a monk within the serene confines of a Buddhist temple was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish tantalized the taste buds with exquisite flavors, leaving a lasting impression of culinary delight. The prices, despite their modesty, offered generous portions, making this experience even more remarkable. I will always treasure this wonderful culinary experience.

Restaurant
Cultivo is a modern restaurant located in downtown Ukiah, offering a variety of delicious dishes such as Neapolitan-style pizza, salads, and grass-fed steak. The restaurant has implemented safety measures in response to COVID-19 and provides both indoor and outdoor seating options as well as takeout services. Guests can enjoy a selection of Boeket wines by the bottle and local beers. The menu caters to different preferences, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Cultivo has redefined the art of dining with a thoughtful approach to both food and service, and our recent experience there was nothing short of remarkable. The star of the evening was their “Funghi, Part IV” pizza, a masterpiece that left me utterly speechless. Every bite was an explosion of truffle, with perfectly roasted mushrooms, a delicate balance of creamy and earthy flavors, and a crust that was both light and satisfyingly crisp. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an event—an unforgettable culinary journey. My wife opted for the French Onion Soup, which was equally extraordinary. The rich, savory broth was layered with caramelized onions and topped with a perfectly golden, bubbly layer of cheese. Each spoonful was a comforting reminder of how elevated simple dishes can be in the hands of a skilled kitchen. The service at Cultivo was equally impeccable. Our waitress was both knowledgeable and genuinely friendly, guiding us through the menu with enthusiasm and insight. Every interaction felt warm and intentional, elevating the entire experience. Cultivo isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a destination for anyone who truly appreciates exceptional food, thoughtful service, and the artistry of a meal done right. We can’t wait to return.

Absolutely incredible! The food was beyond phenomenal. Service impeccable. We had the Brussels sprouts that had an amazing sauce, the French onion soup was so good and the mushroom pizza was to die for. They also cater. Highly recommend. We will return.

This place used to be great! We went tonight for my wife’s birthday and it was a real disappointment. The food has definitely gone downhill. We ordered the ceviche and bastones for appetizers. The bastones have definitely shrunk quite a bit. The sauces are nice though. The ceviche came with 3 corn chips. When we asked for a few more we were given only 3 more. We ordered 3 pizzas two were great and one that I’ve ordered before just wasnt as good as I remember it being. The service was slow and not at all friendly. Honestly I felt like the waitress just didn’t like us. Maybe she was having an off day. It happens to everyone. Either way I guess we have to drive to Santa Rosa for decent food.
Valley S — Google review
We had Cultivo cater our wedding and they were incredible! The food was excellent, with lots of locally sourced options, and all our guests loved it. The staff were also really great - not only were they very professional, showing up early and helping with setup, but they were very friendly and easy to work with as well! They even went above and beyond what we asked them to do and helped with the bar and cake. We already knew Cultivo was good from trying the restaurant, but were still pleasantly surprised by how great they were at catering as well. Would highly recommend them for an event!

I was passing through Ukiah and this place was recommended to me. The fried cheese curds were amazing, and the honey mustard dipping sauce was delicious. We had a happy hour wedge salad that was a good size, only lacking bacon. The pizza was fantastic. The wood-fired crust was really flavorful. I wish I could have tried all the pizzas! The ingredients were really fresh. Our server was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back.

Chicken restaurant
Fast food restaurant
KFC, a popular fast food chain recognized for its buckets of crispy fried chicken, as well as combo meals and various side options, was visited to gather information about the establishment. One must try dish is their delectable chicken pot pie, which boasts a remarkably flaky crust and a piping hot filling that requires caution to avoid burning one's mouth. The attentive staff member who took the order displayed exemplary service skills even when faced with a large order and accompanied by a customer with communication challenges.
My order was taken in English.. I love the food and service.. My favorite place to eat... Everyone behind the counter were speaking Spanish in the workplace, taking breaks and Speaking Spanish with customers.. All I heard was Spanish, This is America. English is the official language. It seems rude of the employees.
Donna T — Google review
This is one of the good KFC franchises. They don't screw up the orders and I've always received my food freshly prepared and served hot. The drive-thru is easy to negotiate and there's a large parking lot if you want to dine in. The interior is clean and there are two ordering kiosks inside. The KFC app is very easy to use and there are lots of free offers and discounts when you use the app to order. Having a good app is essential now for any franchise. I often see the franchise owner toiling inside and outside the restaurant to help out his staff and to keep the restaurant running smoothly. I've always been treated courteously by the staff, and service is fast. KFC is still really, really tasty and good.
David S — Google review
Staff is prompt and friendly. I won't mention prices simply because food costs in California are just obscene. Restaurant is clean and never seems crowded. I've never had anything that had sat too long under a heat lamp and serving portions are never wanting. As far as fast food goes, KFC feels a little more recognizable as real food.
William C — Google review
I ordered a bucket of chicken and it came wet with oil and NOT crispy like I remember it at all, having chicken soaked in oil is not tasty and it felt like a total waste of money. The chicken itself was hard too as some who has had kfc quite a few times I can confidently say chicken was all around bad. Drinks were good and tasted fresh and did get a few empty buckets to wear for fun so I can say the staff is good but if you are thinking getting a bucket of chicken I'd say maybe get a sandwich so the oil is soaked up by the bread. there are a million ways to spend your money and a bucket of chicken with the quality it was should not be one of them. Also mashed potatoes and gravy was too expensive for what I was given it made me depressed
Brush B — Google review
Drive thru member could not tell me the price of chicken tenders. Very short reply. Wasting his time.. I orders the 4 piece for $16 dollars. Here they are not much bigger then the sauce they came with.
Brian C — Google review
Sat Nov 4th 2023 check the shift schedule because these kids act rude and over it! If you hate your job so much maybe stop working there!! If a place fast food place stops serving food at 9 it shouldn't be difficult to get something at 8:30!! You have half an hour before you start cleaning!!
Marie W — Google review
I would give them zero stars if I could. We ordered online, got to the drive through (the only option). We were on the drivethrough line for over an hour, when we got to the menu we told them it was an online order and they said they had it there. When we got to the window I could see them assembling meals that were not ours. I tried to get her attention, but no one in the store looked at the window. She finally opened the window and asked me for $34. I told her we had paid online. She looked confused, slammed the window, and came back with our food, which was cold from sitting so long. She was very rude, and never even apologized for the long wait. KFC food is so marginal to begin with, when it's gone cold it is barely edible. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else.
Gary G — Google review
The employee Sariah Or Jovita refused to give me 1 barbecue sauce for my sandwich, she wanted to charge me 50 cents. So weird because I was here last week and I was given 2 when I asked for them. Same other times when I go thru the drive thru. It just them or is a new policy??

Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve features trails that wind through a dense fern forest and five separate unlogged groves containing two distinct species of redwood trees. Although the forest was partially destroyed by fire over a decade ago, it has proven to be resilient in its recovery. Visitors should prepare for limited parking, an uphill walk, and mosquitoes by wearing appropriate shoes, bringing water and bug repellent. However, those who make the effort will be rewarded with stunning views of beautiful redwoods and peaceful surroundings.
I’ve hiked a lot of places, but Montgomery Woods has this kind of ancient, mossy magic that hits different. The moment I stepped onto the trail, I felt like I had entered a secret redwood cathedral quiet, cool, and full of wild energy. These trees are seriously old. Like… older than most countries old. And they’re still standing tall and majestic like Earth’s original guardians. The hike itself is peaceful, not too strenuous, and full of little surprises twisty roots, spring flowers, and that filtered sunlight that makes everything look straight out of a fairy tale. I even spotted a banana slug just vibing in its own little world. Respect. I brought some water, took my time, and just soaked in the stillness. There’s something deeply grounding about this place. It makes you want to whisper and walk slower. I didn’t expect to get emotional in a forest, but here we are. If you’re looking to reconnect with nature, slow your roll, and breathe some real-deal fresh air, Montgomery Woods delivers. Just don’t rush it this place deserves your full attention. Five stars from me. Can’t wait to come back and bring someone I care about.

Special magical quiet place. Highly recommend going unhurried and taking it in. Six of us walked ~4 miles over 3 hours on a weekday summer afternoon. Pack water, snacks and wear good shoes for this relatively easy slightly hilly hike. There were many stumps to pause on , get still and meditate on the fact that some of these trees were around before the renaissance.

So beautiful and magical. We are fortunate to have discovered this place while staying for a few days close by. The trees are majestic and the minute you get out of your vehicle it smells so fresh. We met some workers who are making improvements on the trail and they've done a wonderful job so far. As everyone says, there is an incline at the beginning, but once you get to the top it levels out and definitely worth the hike.

Amazing hiking loop. The trails are currently being improved upon so they don't flood in the rainy season. In my opinion this rivals the famous Avenue of The Giants with some of the tallest trees in northern California. There is a very windy road from Ukiah to get here

Vinewood Park boasts a comprehensive array of amenities, making it an ideal recreational destination. The creator of the park sought input from neighboring residents to ensure their desired features were included. While the specific preferences remain unknown, this collaborative approach likely fostered new connections and lasting friendships. This heartwarming tale of a local resident fulfilling his promise to provide a universally appealing park showcases the power of community engagement. Vinewood Park stands out as the only location where one can freely enjoy open spaces without crowd interference.
Great neighborhood park in Ukiah! There is a good sized play structure with a variety of slides and climbing structures, monkey bars, and four regular swings (no baby bucket swings). There is a large green space and basketball court too. There are also a lot of picnic benches and a grill. Street parking is available during the day. There is a public bathroom available as well. I had a great time, although I was exhausted after walking all 18 holes, felt like a hike up and down mountains (I exaggerate). My only negative about the course was how high the fairway grass was. In most areas of the course. I feel if they had a closer trim, the course would be perfect play! The greens are beautiful and nearly flawless. Great course. Golf enthusiasts, this is a must play! I drove over and hour to play here and I was not disappointed. Thanks Ukiah Golf Course!

Nice course, played nine only. Its a hilly course , so if you like to walk be prepared. There is a putting area, but there are only two net enclosures for a driving range, bring your own balls that. The course is next to the city's park and pool, so if the course parking lot is full there is additional parking near the park, which is across the street from the GC. Staff was very helpful and professional.

Been a number of years since I’ve played Ukiah Valley. It was Ukiah Municipal the last time I played. I’ve always really enjoyed the layout. It’s a very challenging course even though it’s less than 6,000 yards. The course was in great shape, as were the greens. The greens are particularly small, which is why the course is challenging. Everyone very friendly. Looking forward to playing again soon.

Wednesday 11AM tee time - no one behind us. My partner and I had a hard time understanding why this course isn't played more. Incredibly hilly, some spectacular elevated tees, some precision shot doglegs and both tight fairways on the first nine, and nice open ones on the second. Well worth playing if you're used to valley public courses.
Jeffrey O — Google review
Very hilly, no cart person so stock up before you go on the course. Very pretty
Marissa L — Google review
I was pretty disappointed to review my receipt only to learn that the "spectator fee" is equal to the greens fee. While it's understandable to have some fee, it's completely absurd to charge the full greens fee. The course could charge half of that, still recoup its costs for the nefarious few who try to sneak someone onto the course, and not penalize those of us who are honest and just want to have a family member ride along while we play.
Cody G — Google review
Tough course, small greens. It was in great condition had a great time out there definitely recommend it

Great municipal golf course. Helpful and friendly staff, well maintained and just the right amount of difficulty for an intermediate level golfer. I highly recommend playing this course.

Nature & Parks
McGarvey Park, located in Ukiah and Mendocino county, is not one of the smaller parks but rather a spacious and enjoyable destination for families with children and pets. It offers a fantastic opportunity to create lasting memories with loved ones. For those seeking more people and ample space, Max Park is recommended as it provides a larger setting. Additionally, nearby there are little library houses filled with an excellent selection of books suitable for both kids and adults, presenting yet another advantage.
For a quaint little park it had ample seating, and it was very peaceful. My friend and I stopped there to enjoy some Mango Habanero chicken earlier today. No actual picnic tables though.

Very good park to go visiting and to take your pet friend for a walk or go running, rest and sitting down under a tree or just to spend some time appreciating the nature. Or taking selfies 😉!!!!! Either way you can enjoy this park. It has some good benches and so comfortable to spend slot of time at the park with friends. You can also reserve the park to make parties or gathering.

Visiting in mid April the trees were blossoming. Really beautiful. A lot of traffic at midday on a Saturday going by but still a lovely way to relax in the midst of shopping.

This is a great park to sit and have a cup of coffee. The park seems to be a mini arboretum with a tiny plaza center. A great way to start your day, meet up with friends, or just unwind.

This part isn't one of the smaller parks which we have many parts here in Ukiah and Mendocino county it's a really nice place to take your children and pets and have great family moments another place I recommend if you want more people and more space there's a larger parks Max. And just for your attention there's also library little houses little boxes that you can find something great to read for children or grown ups it's another perk.

This place was great! The gravy is made perfectly and the biscuits were amazing. The French toast is cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are spot on and this place isn't crazy expensive either. Great cup of coffee as well hard to beat good food and good staff.

Popped in for breakfast before heading out on our road trip, and loved it. Breakfast hit the spot (especially since the day before we didn't get to eat much). A little pricey, but I'd consider it mostly reasonable. Everything was delicious and had a nice spread of flavors. The French toast was a great way to end the meal as well. Service was attentive and very nice. Everyone was open and happy to help. Chill environment/atmosphere as well.

We felt very welcomed by the staff. Our breakfast was made from our choices of options. All four of us ate well. The ham steak was nice and thicker than expected. My son even had fish and chips for breakfast. We all left satisfied. The prices were affordable. 👌

Food slaps. Coffee is good. Servers are sweet, polite and attentive. Kind of expensive but I guess that’s just Cali (I’m from east coast). Order: Three eggs, homefries, 4 sausage links, ham steak, fruit cup, toast, Belgian waffle, coffee for a little over $40 ($49 including 20% tip). To be fair I ordered a bunch of food. Overall safe to say this is the best breakfast spot in Ukiah.

Fast food restaurant
Taco Bell is a beloved fast-food chain that specializes in delicious Mexican-inspired dishes, including tacos, quesadillas, and nachos. One of their standout offerings is a warm flour tortilla filled with refried beans, Red Sauce, diced onions, and shredded cheddar cheese—perfect for those who enjoy dairy and eggs. While some may find the interior decor a bit lackluster after recent renovations, many patrons prefer the convenience of the Drive-Thru to grab their favorite meals on the go.
Friendly staff, always consistent with the food quality never disappointed
Luis V — Google review
Just bought Taco Bell and I ordered a soda with my food, but there’s no option for no ice, I was not wanting ice due to feeling a little sick. You pay for ice instead of the soda. I see why they don’t give options for amount of ice you want, this is how they make their money by ripping off patrons. I took the ice out, and I only got 1/4 of the cup.
Jose R — Google review
They have a useless a.i. to order food now instead of being able to talk to a real human. And now even if you go inside and can see the people working, they won't take your order- only send you a dysfunctional screen that gets it wrong or fails to send them anything. Your a.i. made me waste a half hour and never even get fed, then wait longer for a refund

I just waited 45 minutes for a door dash. It is very clear that door dash orders are pushed to the back of the queue. If you are not going to fill door dash order restrict the hours on busy days so that people time are not wasted.

Pizza in the mendo region is severely lacking. It is better here often than most others, but I rate pizza places based on standard pepperoni. The pizza is kind of bland. If you want something special, they do a decent deep-dish.

For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Observatory Park. Not quite as popular as Grace Hudson Museum & Sun House, but still highly rated among many travelers. The Grace Hudson Museum & Sun House is a must-visit attraction in Ukiah, offering a glimpse into the artistic history of the area and the lives of renowned residents Grace Carpenter Hudson and Dr. John W. Hudson. The museum showcases an impressive collection of art, including works by Grace Carpenter Hudson and other local Native American artists. Visitors can also enjoy live musical performances and rotating exhibitions, such as the current showcase of Ray Strong's Northern California landscapes.
I visited the Museum on Wednesday, January 29th. Almost didn't get a tour of the Sun House, but through kindness of Alyssa had a chance to get immersed in the atmosphere where Grace lived and created. The grounds are well kept and very spiritual, and the gallery has the most amazing art piece, the central of which is, of course, The Nattional Thorn. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about the native people of Northern California through the eyes of a compassionate to their plight individual.
Kara Y — Google review
I visited this on a Sunday and there were just 4 visitors including me. As I used to paint in oils three decades ago and also an acolyte of Native American Art by Grace Carpenter Hudson, it was a day well spent. All original art exists in this small space, but you can also check out her 2,400 sq ft house that has her studio. Her father A O was a famous photographer and the entry to the museum begins with the family tree followed by A O's photos and then you enter the paradise. The curator is a friendly woman who is honest about what she knows. There is also a space showcasing Pomo baskets. I did not visit the garden where plants used by natives are grown as it was getting late. There is also a shop selling souvenirs, books connected to Grace's art. This is strictly for serious people who love history or art. Bringing in kids will not work as there are no restaurants or stands.
Ashwin H — Google review
Incredible museum! Never heard of Grace before entering and left with chills feeling amazed at her life and legacy. Extremely talented artist with a beautiful heart. Used her talents to do good and leave this world better than she found it.
Jared B — Google review
Not central to the experience but found attached special exhibition photo interesting from the mix of galaxy and female form introduced - If a visit to the interior of the Grace Hudson House itself suggest calling in advance to check for docent availability (limited by volunteer)
Aseire ( — Google review
Beautiful Craftsman home with a docent to explain everything and lots of local art in the museum as well as Grace Hudson's art. She left her estate to her nephew who later left get to the city. It's a celebration of a life not someone who is famous really an ordinary person just living her life and trying to do the best she could do. She was a lovely artist but during the Depression it was hard to sell art. Definitely worth a visit
Jeanie H — Google review
This is one of Ukiah must see destinations, and one of the greatest tourist attractions the town has to offer. I highly recommend scheduling in advance a tour of Grace Hudson's house/ studio. It is not only one of the best preserved piece of History Ukiah has to offer, but something we can all be proud of that call Ukiah home.🏡
Mendocino K — Google review
Hidden gem in Ukiah. Quite interesting to learn about Grace Hudson’s story and art. Also check out for any special exhibits. I was lucky enough to see on Sea weed.

The museum was a pleasant surprise break in Ukiah, the Sun house did not have a curator available at the time to explore inside, but the back to the land exhibit in the museum was trippy and the Grace Hudson collection was exquisite. How she was able to catch the energy of the subjects, mostly Pomo People was mesmerizing. The gift shop sold amazing craft works from current local artists, some of which were featured in the traveling back to the land exhibit.

The Ukiah Farmers Market has been a beloved tradition since 1977, offering a wide array of locally grown produce every Saturday morning at Alex R. Thomas Plaza. Despite being one of the largest markets in the county, it maintains a strong sense of community and family. The fertile valley surrounding Ukiah provides an abundance of fresh agricultural products, attracting visitors from near and far. In addition to fresh vegetables and organic goods, visitors can also find vegan Thai food and gluten-free options.
Love going to the farmers market, has lots of local produce. Very friendly people. People seem to visit from far away and its worth it if you're in town. There's a woman selling all vegan thai food which is my favorite. Anyone with EBT gets double the money when purchasing with chips.

It is true that the historic observatory is closed but this is such a beautiful park. There are two entrances to the park on Observatory Ave and Luce Ave. The park is big and has enough room to play soccer, football, catch and more. There is a tiny flower maze on the property and a giant tree that can shade you from the hot sun. Overall, this is a great park for a picnic and family fun.

A very cute grassy park that is peaceful with a couple picnic tables and several benches. Sit among the planets (the walkway is marked with the solar system along the way). Dog friendly, but on leash (not fenced and not a dog park). Also a book exchange box there. Great for small children to run and play with supervision. No playground equipment. Not that kinda park. Bring a book or a picnic...perfect for a little family or neighborhood get together.

Tucked into a neighborhood, very spacious grass land. Pretty place to relax and be in nature. I reccomend coming in the back, the front has a gate door.
K B — Google review
This is a nice little park that is small but still robust and one that you can use to chill and enjoy. That's really all you need. I hope you like it. You can picnic on the grass area if you feel the urge. You can choose to throw a Frisbee as well because there is room. Or bring your hackey sack. That's fun. I think the kids are into that again. This is definitely a great park for you and yours to enjoy if you choose to do so. But you are not allowed to barbecue here, so I'm sorry about that.
Banger T — Google review
Very quaint, quiet and rustic. No sidewalks, lush well kept lawn fades naturally into dirt paths. Outside the ring path nature has her way with wild grass, wildflowers and weeds. Kudos to the groundskeepers; Not every inch has to be sterile. One of its many features is quite novel: NO CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND! I consider this a feature in that it creates a more contemplative atmosphere where you can listen to the many birds and hear yourself think.

Cozy environment with huge fig tree, a fireplace, board games, and comfortable seating. One could claim the atmosphere was developed by an interior design - and it matches the variety of wines available. Got a wine flight for about $15, but the fee was waved with the purchase of a bottle; afterall, we tasted what we liked and moved forward with the purchase. The ladies providing assistance were great and explained the possibilities, despite our late arrival. Although the weather was not perfect to benefit from using their patio, we felt satisfied with the inner area. Should you visit it there, try to sit by the fireplace itself.

This charming eatery may be small, but it offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. We were delighted by the friendly service and an array of mouthwatering dishes, including some fantastic sushi options. Our meal was not only delicious but also surprisingly affordable—around $100 for five dishes and two sushi orders!
Great food with vegans options, everything is quick and delicious, highly recommend, also very good price

Food is good, but make sure your food is fully cooked. I ordered grilled yellowtail and it was still uncooked inside. Something else was off too because 20 minutes after I ate I had a very unpleasant experience with my bodily functions.

Such a beautiful amazing place. It was our first time here and the food was exquisite. We cannot wait to come back.

Didn't even have the food to rate it but what a terrible experience. I arrive to a completely empty restaurant which didn't bother me, I was hungry and figured my food would be that much better. I get seated and start looking over the menu. the waitress walks off and takes a call. A group of 3 arrive all the while, they are greeted and another call comes over. I have decided what I want but I am patiently waiting for her to return to my table when she goes directly to the group the just walked in and begins taking their order. I want to hope this is not because I'm African American but I honestly don't see any other reason why I wasn't addressed first. I got up and left. No attempt was made nor was anything said to me. Pretty Crap experience for a place that looks like it could really use some business

Had the chicken picatta with pasta. It was delicious! The sauce was flavorful and the chicken was well cooked. The drinks and service were good as well. We sat on the patio, it was chilly, but totally worth it for the food. Sorry for the empty plate photo, but it was so good I couldn't take the time to get a pic before it was gone!

Our family with 5 of us visited to Ukiah, CA early this month Sept 2023. We dined in The Lotus restaurant and all of us were pleased with the friendly & great service, so delicious foods and awesome Sushi which we did order. The total cost was not expensive at all, only almost $100 for about 5 dishes & 2 Sushi orders. The restaurant is not a big place, but it looks very nice, clean and cozy environment. We strongly & highly recommend this place to everyone.

Wasn't a great experience..they took forever to serve us an there was only 3 other tables there. An then I found hair in my tea and in my food 🤢🤮 we ordered won ton soup 2 orders of sushi an fried calamari an all of this was $70! 😳 even when they seen the hair nothing was taken off of our bill. Definitely won't be eating here again.

Giving more stars than I normally would because the service wasn't bad. The food was not up to par with the 4.2 rating it had though. I'm not sure if this area just has lower standards for sushi/hot and sour soup but I wouldn't reccomend this. Slimy ginger, rolls tasted really bland and just off somehow. Fish was okay by itself but rolls fell apart and were difficult to eat. Hot and sour soup was not good. Cups were very dirty, didn't end up drinking more than one sip of water. Also, the smell when you first walk in is a bit alarming. Wish we would have gone somewhere else. Service was definitely good though, I will say that. They made sure we were taken care of and the timing of food delivery and water refills for my boyfriend were constantly on par.

Greek restaurant
Spiro's Gyros & Deli is a small, family-owned restaurant in town that offers delicious and healthy food. The owner is known for being friendly, charming, and passionate about the food he serves. Customers have raved about the lamb gyro with its fantastic flavors and thinly sliced lamb with crispy edges. The eggplant gyro is also highly recommended for those looking to try something different. The desserts are described as hella sweet, especially the baklava for those with a sweet tooth.
Without a doubt the best Lamb Gyro in the United States. We love this place and I look forward to seeing them at every festival in Southern Humboldt. Spiro is a gem and his family has a great sense of humor. Definitely check this place out and don't forget to add hot sauce. It takes a lamb gyro to another level.

I have reviewed quite a few restaurants, delis, etc, and this is my favorite places, hands down. Their food is unparalleled in quality. The environment is calming and wonderful. Highly doubt you will ever see an unhappy customer. The owner is one of the kindest people I've met. He always greets you with a smile, listens and is helpful. You can tell that he puts his heart and soul into the food they make and you can tell when you eat it. Flavor is absolutely amazing. I got the philly cheesesteak steak sandwich which blew me away on the quality. He sliced the meat right when I order it. The bread, steak, cheese, and everything included was absolutely incredible! It was definitely the best philly cheesesteak I've ever had. I've had quite a few over the years from various places but none as good as this. It's great when you see he has repeat customers that gave me advice. Once you try it, you'll definitely be going back. I have never liked lamb, but that's just me personally. A customer suggested trying some lamb, and the owner was kind enough to give me a sample. I was actually blown away. It was amazing, and changed my outlook on lamb. I believe it's there best selling Gyro for good reasons. It's rare when you find a place that has all healthy food and a wide variety for all tastes even vegetarian. Small businesses like this who don't cut corners and make everything with pride make this place stand out. Dont take just my word for it. Stop by and try this place for yourself. You will be greeted with a smile and guaranteed you'll be going back. I'm hungry now just thinking about the place and food. I can't recommend this place enough. Try it for yourself, and you'll understand. Thank you for the wonderful food and experience.

Fantastic food and service! My older sister and I went. One of the women ( middle daughter of 3 sisters ) who is part of the family that owns Spiros helped us. She was so happy and gregarious. We had some great conversations. Such a yummy hole in the wall w/ warm personalities and delicious food!! We’ll be back soon!

I went in for gyros and I was surprised at how fast my meal came out! The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly and nice. I however did not like my Philly steak gyro, it lacked more flavor (meat wise) the rest of the ingredients were great, the tzatziki sauce was Spot ON! The dolmas were so good and their fries are absolutely delicious! The minor inconvenience is that you have to pay cash. However they do accept Apple Cash and Venmo but the internet is so slow, be prepared to bring cash or do Apple Cash :)

We stopped here on the way through town, trying to get away from big chain fast food. The lamb was absolutely delicious! Great people, extremely fast service. Definitely will stop by again when we come back to town.

Stopped here by chance passing through town on our way north to Eureka. So glad we did! Food was excellent!!! Fresh and fast. Service was great with the owner at the register - beats going to a franchise eatery any day.

The lady at the counter was super nice and the food was amazing. Definitely worth what you pay. I got a super burrito thinking that it was gonna be your ordinary super burrito but NO I was so pleasantly surprised and happy when it turned out to be so big it was in an actual to go box and smothered in super yummy sauce and gooey cheese and that wasn't even all I got it came with sour cream and guacamole to put on top and a side of homemade fried tortilla chips 😍😍😍😍if your in the area I definitely recommend this place.

I was at this restaurant last Thursday at lunch time. I'm on my personal trip taking little time for vacation. I so satisfied with the attention that I had, the server was very kind and she was so nice, the lady that was cooking was so polite. The taste of my food was definitely the best. My drink was horchata, it was wonderful.😋
