Caverns & Caves
Sea Lion Caves is a privately owned wildlife preserve and bird sanctuary that offers tours. This attraction features sea lions that can be observed in their natural habitat while enjoying the beauty of the area. Visitors will also find informational signs, exhibits, and an awe-inspiring cave to explore. The sounds and smells of the sea lions provide a unique experience for those who visit this attraction. Although there may be crowds during peak season, off-season visits offer a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy this tourist destination.
Incredible experience! Visiting Sea Lion Caves was unforgettable. The views of the Oregon Coast are stunning, and seeing the sea lions in their natural habitat was amazing. The cave itself is massive and truly one-of-a-kind. Great stop if you love nature and wildlife—highly recommend!

10/10 highly recommend!! You may call in advance to get more information. The best time to visit is late November through April, when the seals are abundant. It is still a great place to visit during the off season. I highly recommend spending time (and money) in the gift shop. The staff are so friendly and so helpful! We appreciate them the most 🥰
Sherry K — Google review
We visited Valentine’s day weekend of ‘25 and it was so worth it! You can see hundreds of sea lions lounge in the caves while babies play together in the water. They also had an interesting documentary playing with other boards covered in fun facts. Viewing area is small so avoid peak hours! In the cave is also a stunning viewpoint of the cliffs of the gorgeous Oregon coast! Loved it!
Oceana F — Google review
A very cool stop! We were here in mid October and the sea lions weren't there. They let us know before we purchased the tickets and then gave us a ticket to come back within 12 months of our visit to try seeing them again, which was so nice. Still, the views were worth the stop! But!! If you want to see the sea lions, take a left out of the property (or a right if you parked across the street) and drive maybe 2-3 minutes of the road. There will be a pull off on the left hand side, same side as the water, where you can see (and hear) where the sea lions are hanging out! (Pictures attached)
Mercedes T — Google review
One of the coolest places I’ve been! There is an admission price to take the elevator into the cave, but it was absolutely worth it even though the sea lions weren’t there this time of year. 100% worth stopping to check out, if only for the gorgeous views!
Baylee C — Google review
The Sea Lion's were not there, which probably should have been posted somewhere, maybe it was but I did not see anything until we got to the counter to pay. The cave itself is pretty cool and you have a unique view of the light house. While we were there the television in the cave that does the presentation seems like it might have caused some kind of electrical fire, luckily we made it our before the elevator got stuck. All the lights inside the cave started to flicker and it seemed like panic was setting in a little bit. It's very dark in there with no lights, overall the experience was stuff fun with the discounted tickets.
Alex — Google review
OVERALL: Fantastic experience. We were not sure if there would be many sea lions to see but we were wrong. There were sooo many sea lions! Apparently they are always around. Either hanging out in the cave keeping safe from predators, or sunning/mating outside in another viewing location. Most are not very active but there are always a few barking at each other and climbing around the rocks. PARKING: Depending on time if year I can see parking being challenging. There are 2 smaller lower parking lots, plus a larger upper. The upper is steep and requires a bit of hike back down so be prepared to walk a bit. DON'T FORGET: Bring a jacket or sweatshirt. Even during the summer it's still very windy and cool. Binoculars are also a great idea since the sea lions are still pretty far away. There were binoculars available for rental when we were there but I'm guessing they may also have a limited supply. ACCESSIBLITY: Pending where you park it's a bit of a steep walk to the gift shop. Since this is all built on a hill side the walk down to see the sea lions is also a bit steep. Just outside the gift shop are 2 options, a view of the outside where dozens of sea lions are sunning, or down an elevator (+200ft) to the amazing cave with a deck for viewing the sea lions, small museum with a 6min video, fossils, a hike up several flights to see so many birds and a lighthouse off in the distance. GIFT SHOP: The gift shop has pop
Mike — Google review
Such a cool place to look at the sea lions!! I've seen them in San Diego and in Newport, Oregon, but this was super cool!! You pay to go down this cool elevator and actually enter a cave around sea-level where you can see the sea lions!! That was so unique, there aren't any other places that will take you down that far. There were so many cute sea lions when we were there, it was absolutely stunning to see them in their natural habitat!! There were also cool exhibits where you could see skeletons of real sea lions, and two great places for picture opportunities! When going back up the elevator, we went to another viewpoint and got to see even MORE sea lions from a distance!! I paid a quarter for the viewing machine, and wow, it was a great view!! Overall it's a great place to see the sea lions WITHOUT worrying about them being in captivity. Gift shop was also really cute too!

The Heceta Head Lighthouse is a functioning 19th-century lighthouse on the coast, which has been transformed into a scenic bed and breakfast with six rooms. Visitors can take a short hike to the top for breathtaking views of the surroundings, which are very well-kept. Although some guests may find the bathrooms in outdoor spaces unpleasant, it is still worth visiting this popular tourist attraction.
I have just returned from my daughter’s wedding that was held at the beautiful Heceta Lighthouse and B&B on the Oregon Coast. It was a very small wedding but boy was it a magical and amazing day! I cannot rave enough about the staff that went out of their way to make sure my daughter’s wedding day was a day to remember! The views from both the B&B and lighthouse are breathtaking taking, the 7 course breakfast and wedding dinner was simply excellent! Every detail was handled by the staff and chef’s like a well oiled machine! They were always professional and very detailed. I can’t thank them enough for making this very special event so magical! Thank you to Misty, Gary, David, Michelle, Jane and Cecily I hope I got the names correct and did not forget anyone. You all have a passion for what you do and really make your guests comfortable! I would strongly urge anyone to experience this location and checkout their different packages and stay options. You will not regret it.

As part of a family reunion trip we visited the Heceta Head Lighthouse with 16 people, including four children under 13 years old and a nine month old baby. We spent several hours at this magical place making lifetime memories. For older folks or anyone who struggles with uneven surfaces, the hike up the hill overlooking the lighthouse may be too challenging. There is bench seating, restrooms, and helpful park staff at ground level next to the lighthouse. You can visit the ground floor of the lighthouse to speak with wonderful volunteers about the lighthouse history. The stairs to the top of the lighthouse are not open to the public. Your experience at the lighthouse that overlooks Heceta beach will change with the weather. We arrived to overcast skies with fog and temp in the high 50s. Two hours later the sun was out with temp in the low 70s and we were peeling off layers of clothing. The parking lot in front of the beach was full. There is overflow parking across the street, under the bridge. We somehow missed any signs about paid parking ($10, I think) and had a ticket when we returned to our car. Not a big deal at all. We are happy to support Oregon State Parks. I highly recommend making time to visit Heceta. The drive from whichever direction you approach the park is also beautiful.
Teresa L — Google review
Heceta Head park and lighthouse are always amazing every time we visit. Typically fall is very quiet, but weather still wonderful and sunny. Trail to lighthouse is well kept, definitely an incline to get there, but not far. Spectacular views from the top. Well appointed gift shop midway if you need a stop. Visiting here never gets old!
Deborah S — Google review
The hike up is not only fairly easy, but it’s scenic too! We went at around 10:00 - 11:00 am and it was foggy. The hike up is about half a mile, though it’s windy and goes uphill. There is no to very weak cell service, so be prepared. Once you get to the top, there’s also more trails that go further up the hill near the lighthouse itself. You’ll get better views there. However, there’s some steep drop-offs as you climb up with no barriers, and it might pose a risk if someone trips on a stick or something. Try not to drop anything if you’re climbing up those trails, and keep a close eye on children. Though I would’ve liked the weather to be clear and sunny, the fog just made things even better! There are picnic tables near the beach at the start of the trail, and there’s also a restroom.

I visited here the middle of august. By 10:00 a.m. there weren't any parking spots. You can park along the 101 in a large pull off. Southbound lane at the entrance of the park. There is an easy walk up to the lighthouse and another trail that goes up higher and above it for great vistas. Super busy in the summer but worth it. Great views of the historic Bridge built in the 1930s.
Darin L — Google review
We loved this beach, it was so interesting and beautiful with the stark cliffs covered in green plants, the cool bridge over the river that runs into the ocean, and a bunch of little caves in the cliff. We even saw a sea star here! We didn't hike up to the lighthouse, but the beach is awesome!
Lauren W — Google review
It was a quick little hike and yoyr experience will differ based on the weather. There is a neat gift shop at the half way point. It was only a 0.5 mile to the top. Not too steep. Once at the top there are come decent views. Its 10 dollars to park at the bottom. The beach is also there.
Milen P — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse, small but beautiful hike to get up. The trail is dog friendly but you can not enter the lighthouse or the gift shop with your dog. I took my dog so I skipped going inside but the grounds are worth it.

Nature & Parks
Neptune State Scenic Viewpoint is a secluded beach with stunning ocean views, hiking trails, and grassy areas for picnicking. However, as of September 6th, 2021, the beach has millions of dead jellyfish scattered across it. Despite this, visitors can still enjoy the short trail down from the parking area to access the beach. The rocky formations on portions of the beach add an interesting feature to explore.
Absolutely incredible. It's moments like this that make you realize that scientists will never ever figure this out. Just Human existence is just a peon compared to the enormous unknown truths of existence. Absorb the moment
Tim D — Google review
What a sweet spot on the central Oregon coast! There is not a lot of parking available, and the beach is rather small. There is a lot of rocky coast with abundant tide pools. A stream runs by the view point and empties into the ocean. The small cliff face is a geological wonder, showing an ancient river bed, lava flows, and sedimentary sandstone. High tide limits the seaside playground, but low tide opens up a wide swath of sand for the young and old to enjoy. This is not the typical agate beach, but I was able to find a few, which was a surprise. This is a day use area, and there is a pit toilet on site. It was clean, but the "pit" was very ripe with ammonia fumes that burned my eyes and throat. There are 2 picnic tables on site, protected from the ocean breeze by a low hedgerow. All in all, this is a great spot to enjoy the Oregon coast. I highly recommend it.
Peter C — Google review
Nice little beach. Provides a nice walk through tide pool areas. The beach also offers great views of crashing waves onto the rocky shore. A lot of cairns were build around many of the rocky outcroppings. Allowed us the opportunity to escape 95° heat to a welcome 63° breeze. Great place!
Dennis B — Google review
Just gorgeous! What an incredible view! And we saw a pod of grey whales!!! You're able to drive the entire way up and it's an easy trail walk to the overlooks, which is great for a semi-mobile disabled person such as myself.
Angela N — Google review
Lovely beautiful beach with characters. Long stretch with some big rocks and a creek. The ocean water is cold but the creek is not. It's a perfect beach to enjoy both! Fine soft sand to walk on.
NuiE — Google review
As of September 6th, 2021 this beach has millions of dead jellyfish all over it. Kind of gross, but also kind of interesting if you've never seen something like that. Otherwise the beach has a short trail down from the parking area which is not too tough except for the beach end of it which has some scrambling to do to get down. Portions of the beach are covered in a maze of rock formations about 5 to 15 ft in height which are interesting to explore. The scenic road bridge can also be seen from the beach, as can Captain Cook point. No restrooms at the Neptune North end of the beach, at least. If this information was helpful, I'd appreciate a quick like or follow. Thank you!
Julie M — Google review
I have found some Of my most favorite agates here. There is also some amazing scenery when the waves hit the rocks and sounds like a Tumblr when they go back out to The Ocean.

Nature preserve
Darlingtonia State Natural Site is a protected area that boasts a unique ecosystem where the rare native cobra lily thrives - this carnivorous plant feeds on insects. It's worth taking a detour from the main highway to explore this fascinating location. Visitors can enjoy a short walk through the woods and observe these captivating plants, even during winter. This nature preserve also offers picnic tables and pit toilets for convenience. Additionally, there's a trail featuring native pitcher plants that are equally impressive.
There is no reason not to visit this: it's a simple walk, it's a fascinating plant, it looks like you've walked into a sci-fi monster movie like Day of the Triffids meets Alien, it's right outside of town. It's a great little visit.
James C — Google review
Doesn't take more than 15 minutes as it is just one small area but what a hidden fascinating gem. If you are in the area it's certainly worth stopping by to check it out
Vicki E — Google review
Right off the highway and a great little walk to stretch your legs. There is also a bathroom by the parking lot. When you get into the park, the trail to the right is the correct way to the observation deck and the trail to the left (by the picnic tables) is NOT the trail to the plants. I don’t think it’s an official trail and it will take you somewhere you can see the observation deck. The plants themselves are super cute and we saw lots of flys trying to get inside the plants 😭
First L — Google review
This tiny little wayside near Florence is magical. From the accessible boardwalk you can view thousands of carnivorous Cobra Lilies. They are very visually striking, interesting plants. Photos don't do justice to the shear about of them here! The wayside also includes a restroom and picnic tables, so it is a great place to stop if you are on a coast road trip.
Heather K — Google review
Small area with boardwalk. It's a protective area for cobra plants. Has a picnic table. It's a very short walk, plenty of parking. There is a restroom but it was locked up.
Mud L — Google review
Cute little step right along highway 101, ample parking and a restroom in parking lot. Short walk through the forested trail to view the darlingtonia along a well kept boardwalk.
Yv W — Google review
This was an unexpected surprise find, and allowed for a relaxing walk through a lush green forest area. Part of the walk was on an elevated board walk for better viewing of the Darlingtonia plans. Walk is relatively short,

5-10 min stop right off the 101. Vault toilet and picnic tables and benches. Easy pathways accessible to those who can't walk well. No trash cans. Plenty of parking

Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park is a sought-after destination owing to its picturesque hiking trails amidst stunning sand dunes, well-stocked freshwater lakes with boat ramps and 167 campsites. One can revel in nature's beauty and still have access to modern amenities like hot water, clean restrooms and accommodations.
Wonderful state park with sand dunes, lakes. Swimming and boating. Picnic areas and restrooms. A nice place to go for a day in the fresh air.

Great place to hang out with the family and dog friendly. We drive to this park a handful of times a year. The restrooms are clean for being a state park and they charge $10 to park

Absolutely beautiful campgrounds with lots of staff and park hosts around. Easy access to the dunes and other outdoor activities. Very nice that they have a spot you can buy fire supplies and stuff that was open until 8pm (on a Friday).

Beautiful area. Super soft sand and a great swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddlboat area. Perfect for a day to play, weekend of camping, or an hour picnic. Right at the dunes and easy to find. Bathrooms are public bathroom clean. Equipment rental (boats & sandboards) were not open while we were there.

Surfside Restaurant at Driftwood Shores is a long-time favorite for many families, offering stunning views, great service, and delicious food. The fish tacos and fish with fries are particularly popular choices, while the fried calamari stands out as a fantastic appetizer. Although some mixed reviews exist about the fish and chips being soggy and drinks having too much syrup, the friendly staff adds to the overall positive experience at this coastal dining spot.
We like the new restaurant! Good food, nice sized portions for the price, and they are not super expensive. We had breakfast once with table service and dinner once with counter service. So far the only comment we can make is that we would love it if they got larger coffee cups. When we were there a few weeks ago, they were tiny (harder for old hands to grip the handles) but refills are free.
Natalie S — Google review
I have been going to Driftwood Shores for about 10 years with family and it never disappoints. Beautiful views paired with good service and food. The fish tacos and fish with fries are always a hit. The fried calamari is fantastic.

You have to queue up to order and I wanted a beer . The assistant manager rattled off 4 local beers and I said “ I’m not familiar with those.” She just stared at me. I was getting rattled because people were waiting. A nice young woman behind me in line helped me make a quick decision but I got rattled and paid before I presented a $15 dollar coupon from the hotel. The assistant manager then refused to honor the coupon. The people who are managing this place should not be in the hospitality business.

We stayed at the hotel. My family liked theirs, my fish and chips was soggy. My drink had too much syrup. The staff was friendly.

The views are awesome. You can't get better views. The food is pretty good. I've never had a bad meal here, but I've never had an amazing meal either. They do have awesome breakfast with thick cut bacon. Staff is usually pretty friendly, but I've seen some very sketchy looking people come out of the kitchen.

Wow!! This is the best barbecue on the Central Coast!! Absolutely delicious, great selection of bbq, incredible food and really friendly staff! I can hardly wait to come back and try more!! P.s. The beans, coleslaw and cornbread were some of the best I've ever had!

Absolutely some of the best BBQ you can find in Oregon. I don't think I can put into words how good the food was. It was so good it made my Texan fiancee cry. The service was excellent and so was the view from the restaurant.

My mom and I just moved to the Florence area and was recommended Darlings for their BBQ. They did not disappoint, the brisket is some of the best I’ve had, my mom had the pulled pork, the servings were big, our waitress was amazing and the view, I couldn’t ask for a better one! We will definitely be coming back and becoming regulars.

Darling’s was a lucky find for us. I stumbled across it on a search one day and booked a site on the lake. Unfortunately due to medical reasons, needed to make a date change and they were very accommodating. We ended up with a beautiful spot on the lake and enjoyed a delicious dinner in their restaurant. The service was stellar and everyone is so friendly. Our dog’s water bowl was constantly filled, we met some really nice people and had a great weekend. We will definitely be back! Thanks for such great hospitality.

We use to love staying at Darlings. (Despite the need for updated showers and restrooms and the mice running out of the smokehouse.) We recently experienced a couple of seperate incidents with Rich that were very negative. First, he let another camper take the site we reserved and offered us their site which we did not want. He should have made them move. The second happened when we canceled a month long stay. BEWARE ! Their online policy posted is not transparent. Rich refused to refund our reservation even though we provided a 32 day notice of our cancelation. He was unprofessional, refused to make it right, and gave false information. Not good business. I noticed he has had other negative reviews as well. He is not the right person for the job.

They have pictures on Craigslist showing their nicer spaces to rent monthly. When I got there, I was shown a small inferior site with zero privacy. Wasted my time, energy and gas and the lady didn't seem to mind at all that she is cat fishing people. Update 6/18 It's clear you have no idea how to run your business. When you post pictures of sites #23, #26 and #29 and then offer somebody site #10 that is what is referred to as bait and switch or cat fishing. If your site is filled with such a happy camper, why is your post still on Craigslist? I've read your other negative reviews and they are all met with this same lack of awareness of how to properly interact with a complaint about your operations. Cheers!

We were traveling over the July 4th holiday in our sprinter van , needed a place to park for the night. We called Laurie, she indicated they were full for the weekend, however accommodated us in a great spot overlooking the lake. Perfect get away every time especially if you're looking for an adult retreat! Rooms are spacious, staff is 5 star and always clean! The casino is kept beautiful and sanitary! Go to the cafe and get a doughnut or a dozen 😊

The rooms were clean and spacious and staff was amazing friendly. The room service wasn't working (or too busy to answer) so my husband had to go down and order breakfast at one of the restaurants. The omelet was bland. We had eaten there previously with a large group of family and the omelet was the best restaurant omelet we had ever had. So, disappointing it wasn't as good this time. The shower also had standing water/wasn't draining properly. Overall, the stay was pleasant and we would stay there again. The convenience of having food so close was really nice. The gift shop is also beautiful and has reasonable prices.

Sadly, this is about stopping the bus from Eugene going to Three Rivers Casino. It has made it more difficult to get there to stay or grab the bus to Eugene. I always arrive early to play the machines when I head to Eugene for a flight. I will miss this! I am hoping a shuttle can be arranged to pick people up in Old Town, or the Grocery Outlet, who wish to play/stay. The drivers work had to drive that trip several times a day and have always been so very kind and courteous. The employees are also wonderful at their jobs!

It was a good time we went there for food didn't stay in the room costs way too much! Won a little bit of money as well. Food was hit or miss sister got the tacos and the meat tasted sour she Said. My lasagna was delicious. Tots were perfect. But they fixed the taco situation with a hamburger so my sister was happy.

I came in the casino after hours. Wanting something to eat the bar club whatever was open? I had the coconut shrimp. They were unbelievable and very reasonable, satisfying and plenty to eat. You can't beat the casinos for food. Always always reasonable financially. Because I know you're spending all your money on the slots. lol

Booked 2 nights, left the next day. Large Dog left barking in room non stop. (Not my room but in a room by my car, which was parked away from the hotel). Bounding and playing in room above us. To the point we fled the Hotel early. I have never seen so many ill behaved service dogs in one location. Will not be back.
Kimberly S — Google review
We used the RV park. Was $20 per night. Don't mind paying but there wasn't any bathrooms near the RV spots. We expect more when we have to pay. Also the better machines we in the smoking section. Was frustrating.
Becky R — Google review
Love the hotel but the casino is a money pit. I've been coming here since it opened and it has taken my money over and over, never rewarded me once, not even 10 dollars for bingo. I always plan on just donating to them as that is what I do every time.

Park
Miller Park is an impressive and expansive recreational area with meticulous maintenance. The park boasts a substantial green space, complemented by a state-of-the-art skate park and updated playground equipment. It offers a plethora of activities, including opportunities for picnicking. Notably, the newly installed play structure is not only safer but also more user-friendly for younger children, featuring numerous slides and various climbing options. Overall, Miller Park provides an exceptional outdoor experience for individuals of all ages to enjoy.
Awesome park. No dogs with tons of amenities for children
Crystal E — Google review
It seems decent. It's nice for my toddler to play and for us to take a stroll or enjoy a meal at the picnic tables. The big structure seems really old. The big slide is fun just make sure not to grab the sides as you go down or you'll hurt your fingers. My toddler enjoyed playing in the sand. The restrooms were clean the day we went. There was soap and water outside the restrooms by the picnic tables. There's also a skating area.
Lourdes B — Google review
Very accessible park with plenty of amenities. Restrooms were actually clean and so was the park. There is a huge deck for skating and alot of basketball hoops as well. The covered eating area is large enough for 100 people and plenty of seating. They have a few playgrounds all of which are fenced in. A recommended stop for a picnic on the coast
Danny — Google review
The new play structure is really great. Much safer than the old one and easier to use for smaller kids. Lots of slides and things to climb and jump on.
Angela S — Google review
After a recent and far overdue reimagineing this place is great. The kids had a good time and there is something all ages.
Chadd F — Google review
Park offers a great outdoor adventure for all activities. Skate park seems legit and I would love to shred the gnarl if it wasn't raining buck snot. Handicap parking is available right up front. Adequate parking and green grass for your picnic party!

Great park nestled in a residential area. Has a great skate park and also small playground for younger kids. Very quiet, nice place to stop.

Great huge park! Clean. Play ground equipment has been updated and renewed. Lots of grass area to play in, with a skate park. There are many things to do. Next time we will have a picnic. Well kept up ground areas.

Spent over an hour finding great Cobalt Glass buys at mostly discounted prices. Items were well wrapped & boxed for travel, too. Friendly people; lots of stock to search. Wonderful place to visit in the Winter...less people, more discounts!

Lots of stuff. Been in three times. However, one of the staff members' dark hair lady with glasses gives the place a weird vibe. She acts like she doesn't live in the community. Never can give an answer about other businesses even in the same building row. She gives off a serial killer impression when you ask a question of other possible antique shops. It's creepy and also the main reason I don't shop in the store. It is too weird.
W N — Google review
There is so much to see. We did two laps to make sure we didn't miss anything. A wide variety of items are available. The store is larger than it looks from the outside. Friendly workers. The prices are fair on most items.

this store is a wonderful place to go back into the past! it’s a fun whimsical place that the further you go in the more you discover! they even have a dressing room that was put up by the shop owner herself that has a perfect place to hang your clothes (it’s cat shaped). it’s quite a wonderful shop and place you must visit if you come to florence oregon.

The Little Brown Hen Cafe is a cozy daytime eatery that offers a variety of comfort food, including pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, and fried chicken. Visitors are greeted with friendly service and promptly seated. The cafe serves locally roasted coffee and delicious Bloody Mary cocktails with unique garnishes. Guests can enjoy homemade dishes made with custom meats from Childers Custom Wholesale Meats in Eugene.
CASH ONLY!! (But they have an ATM on-site) Got it? Good, now that's out of the way, the food is exceptional. Breakfast or Lunch, both are great, and they have Elk on the menu! The "Best Coffee Ever!" makes a very strong case for itself, and this chopped Elk & Egg was amazing. They also have a great hot sauce (which they sell bottles of) to slather the Scrambled Eggs with). And do you see this biscuit? I topped it with butter, honey, and their Marionberry jam. They're also only open from 7-2, so no dinner crowd here, but they seem to do plenty enough business during Breakfast and Lunch.

This is a cute little restaurant in the middle of town I would recommend for a great meal! The food is fresh, fast, and made to order perfectly to your liking. I had the the Swiss mushroom burger and i definitely recommend it! Melt in your mouth goodness. The salad was a nice touch, with healthy ingredients (not the cheap iceburg lettuce passed at most places as a salad) The restaurant was very clean, and had beautiful stained glass windows that added to the comfortable and charming decor. Our waiter went above and beyond , and adjusted my order with perfect accuracy. The wait staff made for a wonderful experience. They only accept cash or check, but there is an atm for travelers with a small $2.50 fee. We would definitely eat here again.

Food = DELICIOUSNESS! Perfect hash browns. Perfect appetizers. Bacon and sausage links were amazing. The biscuits and gravy were a bit lacking. Gravy didn’t have flavor and the biscuits were a bit hard, but the service was great. Staff were very friendly and attentive without being overly attentive. We will for sure come again.

This is one of those cafes that you dream about visiting again! Cozy and clean, amazing food and top notch service! I had the croissant French toast with chesterberry compote (had never heard of that berry before and was pleasantly surprised) and my daughter had the stuffed hashbrowns. Our server was great!

Definitely a busy and yet cozy place! Feels like home. Food is delicious. Service wasn’t totally 5 stars but I know that’s because they were busy. Great place for a breakfast meal! French toast was amazing. Great portions for the price!!

My favorite waffle on earth! I came with my dad and grandpa about a year ago and had to come back. I got a waffle with bacon inside it and it was phenomenal. Also, the service was great. We got seated quickly. Lastly, the atmosphere was really cool. Really authentic and welcoming.

We decided to visit Florence on a whim. So relaxing and lots to do when we felt like it. We came to this restaurant out of my love of chickens and with the name it was definitely on my list. I’m so glad we came in. Friendly service and very clean. Prompt on the drinks and not much longer we had our food. Let me just say that the Eggs Benedict with crab was devine! I mean DEVINE! I love seafood and have had crab Benedict before but not like this place! The hollandaise sauce was excellent crab so very fresh and a good amount. We will be back for sure! I’ll be having a double on that delicious Bloody Mary as well next trip! Thank you so much again Little Brown Hen Cafe!

Wonderful pizza. Tried the Detroit style pizza because I'm from Detroit, MI. The only thing I want to recommend is that the sauce goes on first and then the cheese and of course the pepperoni and then spread the pepperoni around each slice and not piled on top. Other than that the crust was absolutely perfect. Definitely makes me miss Detroit a lot because there's so much amazing food there. Thanks for making our pizza delicious.

Fast food restaurant
A&W Restaurant is a fast-food establishment that offers its signature root beer, along with burgers, chicken, and fries. It provides a unique and enjoyable experience as customers can drive up to place their orders. However, it may be more time-efficient to use the drive-thru at another location. While walking the dog around the restaurant was nice, there were limited facilities for the dog's needs. The main attraction of A&W Restaurant is their delectable root beer floats.
Hey, for fast food this place is great. Not many A&Ws left, and this place has been good every time we've gone. Appreciate the good service and they keep the place clean. It's fast food, but they do a good job so an occasional stop here is worth it for us. :)
Jody B — Google review
One of the classic drive-in restaurants that you want to stop in and have a root beer float with your lunch. It was busy on a Friday afternoon, and I ordered a root beer float with chicken tenders after a short wait. The menu has burgers, hot dogs. chili cheese fries, shakes, sundaes, and much more. I received my order in about fifteen minutes with no problems. The chicken tenders were moist with good taste. The root beer float was thick and had great taste. I came back the next day for a root beer shake, which was very good. It is located on Hwy 101 on 17th street in Florence. A great place to experience a classic drive-in with friendly service, good food, and famous treats made with root beer made in-house.
Ed L — Google review
Cute little place to grab a bite to eat!! The Coney dog was a little on the small side though, but everything else was great!! Good burgers, good curly fries and onion rings, and the root beer tasted amazing!! I loved that it came in a glass mug! Overall pretty good, would be great if the portions would be bigger.
Sasha G — Google review
Ready for some nostalgia and flavor? Nothing like a trip down memory lane when they bring your A & W Rootbeer Float to your car window. You can order from your car window and they bring it to you! The Float really hit the spot after exploring the Oregon Coast!
Krazy I — Google review
I think everyone should experience A&W at least once or twice because the root beer floats are great. I like the parking spots with menus. But I feel like the menu itself is pretty limited, the flavor of the food is okay but not really impressive. If you've been to Sonic, the food here is pretty similar. But it's really nice after a trip to the beach, to get a big cold root beer float and a warm burger with French fries. I will say that the French fries are delicious. Crunchy, thin, and the right amount of salt that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of ice cream and soda.
Emerald H — Google review
Make it better and keep your lobby open till you close , me and my husband had a date planned but we had to wait till our money hit our card and when we got to the place before 8 the lobby was already closed. Today was a planned fancy date dress up status, we wanted to eat in. The food is great but we went somewhere else tonight because we didn’t want to sit in our car to eat like we always do. Make it better keep your lobby open so we can enjoy!!!
Ryan L — Google review
Great for that old school feel. Inside gets a little crowded and having covered carside delivery is nice. Root beer floats are a must. Burgers are reasonably good. Perfect for families needing something quick to keep the kids happy.

Nice stop to walk around a beach and look for cool rocks. There’s a lot of rocks on this beach. Although I only found a handful of tiny agates and rocks, I’m sure others have found some really neat rocks here. I also saw this amazing photo of starfish and it said it was taken here. I did not see these amazing starfish. The tide must not have been low enough. We did see sea anemones which were cool. There is a small parking lot and no bathroom available. Oregon ocean beaches are all pretty nice.
Megan V — Google review
Best place to easily walk to and see active starfish and other kritters without getting wet. I didn’t like crawling on the sharp rocks at other tide pool spots, and this location is easy, with soft sand. Many pools didn’t even require much bending.
Yoval G — Google review
Super cool spot where we found tide pools, river access, sand beach areas, and rocky areas. It was beautiful and areas of the park even reminisced of some beaches we went to in Maui ❤️
Jessica G — Google review
Tide pools were great! A lot of starfish! You did have to climb up on the rocks. Not a lot of parking available.

We went during low tide and saw lots of sea life in the tidal pools. Fairly easy to go to although parking is limited. Highly recommend!

It is wonderful spot to stop by for rest and make dog exercise a while. Ocean just near by you and easy to access This sport easy to miss it if take 101 south ,, Parking lots are small but we are lucky to have it. Beautiful sunset you can expect from here and there are few picnic tables are available, Pretty large size of grass field that made run to catch the ball ,,, Beautiful place ,, Strongly recommend , left 4 stars because of parking lot and rest room is not available

Short little trail from parking lot which is close to the main road. Parking available for maybe 5 or so cars. The waves creep in fast so make sure to never turn your back on the ocean! Little ones will love running free in the sand and throwing rocks into the creek if you walk to the right side of the beach.
Megan V — Google review
To the kind person who left 2 small agates on the rocks to the trail entry, thank you! Our 1 year old found them & carried them for a good 30 minutes! You could tell by her sweet little expression that she knew she had found something really cool! We love the Oregon Coast!!
Michelle H — Google review
The locals might get mad about this little secret of a beach getting out. Here are some pro tips: If you're going up highway 101, heading north, the parking lot before the bridge on your left is the easiest path to get down to the beach. LOTS OF TIDEPOOLS. The one Google maps takes you (the one after the bridge on your left), is the harder path to the beach. The parking lot could fit quite a few cars if people parked diagonally. No trash cans and no bathroom. When walking down the path it just seems like it ends, or like you'll have to cross the river to get there. Although.... if you look to the right there is a narrow path through the bushes (I am 5'4" and had to crouch till I was about "halfway to a chair"). It leads out to a path you can take out the beach but it is a wonderful spot for tide pools, nice pebble treasures, and everything you could want from a beach (except a bathroom and trash can). My children 4 and 6 had no problem accomplishing the task. A stroller would not make it and neither would utlity carts. If you want a less popular beach that still has everything.... here you go. For a bathroom: I think it is called like "Ocean Beach", it 2 miles south on 101 from Stonefield Beach on the right hand side and has a public restroom and beach access as well.
Kristin E — Google review
Stonefield is a serious trip – and there’s way more than the pictures show on Google Maps. The other side of the creek is the actual treasure land, covered in really wildly-colored rockbed formations. The entrance to this (as the creek isn’t always easy to cross) is on the north side of the creek along Hwy 101. (Search for the Upper Lane County Virtual Tour for full details on this access). Walk down that dusty-then-forested path, and you encounter some almost-magical greenery alongside the creek, with a bench and everything. Fossils abound on this northern side.
Oregon C — Google review
Beautiful beach. Easy access but you do usually have to walk over softball size rocks. When I was there last, the sand had covered all the rocks.
John C — Google review
This is a great beach with lots of rocks. Small parking lot so never too crowded. Peaceful!
Becky T — Google review
Nice place to walk . Find cool stones , shells .

A so - so beach with lots of rocks. It's like the beach is divided in half were the northern parties rocky and the other half not as much. Watch out for snicker waves.

WARNING!! THERE ARE NO HOBBITS on this hike!! :) This short hike was amazing, even with the lack of hobbits!!!! It is steep, and was pretty hard work (I'm old, out of shape, and stupid health issues), but we took it slow, and it was worth every second of toil! We maybe attempted to take a shortcut, and ended up going straight to the top of the ridge through this crazy neat trail, but the crawling on the ground to get through was a little rough on my knees! However, I'd 100% do it again! :) The beach was gorgeous too! :)
Matt P — Google review
Be aware, there are several trails coming off the trailhead. The signs make it easy to find the right trail. We did not notice the giant sign and went to the wrong way and did not noticed for about a mile. I am not sure how we missed the giant sign but both trails are quite beautiful. There is limited parking, the larger parking lot is across the street from the hobbit beach trail. Hobbit beach trail has quite a bit of elevation gain on the way back but still worth it
Nataly B — Google review
So it a very magical trail. Especially if you take the time to see the Hobbit holes on the trail as well as enjoy the overhead canopy of foliage. BUT........ The walk back up is absolutely a KILLER.... All Up Hill, 1/2 mile up. UGGGHH. Especially if you bring picnic paraphernalia (you have to carry back all up hill). Just being real, nice beach a great shaded outcove for relaxing from the sun. Lots of roots
Sharon H — Google review
Fun trail to and from Hobbit Beach! Plenty of shade. Trail gets pretty steep at times there are steps in some places. Cool covered trails and little hobbit style hide aways on your journey to the beach!
Krazy I — Google review
We didn't take this hike all the way to the beach but we were able to enjoy the hobbit-esque nature of the trail. Many people hike this trail barefoot, though we opted to keep our shoes on. The trail is beautiful with great views of the beach. A lot of people hike this trail so parking fills up quickly.
Theresa H — Google review
It was fun to finally stop and see what attracted to many vehicles to pull over each day. Dozens of cars crammed on both sides of the road. It reminded me of walks when I was a child crawling around the underbrush, weaving, duckling, exploring new trails - unknown adventure. There are several trails - keep track of your compass direction - my friend got turned around. If your sense of direction gets challenged stay on the main trail. It was fun and reminded me of when I was a kid exploring coastal trails around the lakes.
Angie W — Google review
We took the Hobbit Beach trailhead to Haceta Lighthouse, it was about 40 minutes with a fair amount of uphill terrain, we were tired by the end of it. Beautiful hike however, with some awesome coastal cliff views along the way. We found it quicker to walk the 101 back to the parking lot on the way back, rather than take the trail.

Bridge
Cape Creek Bridge is a picturesque spot along the Oregon coast, designed by Conde McCullough. It offers ample parking, including space for RVs, and provides easy beach access with a stream to stroll along. The bridge is currently under repair, showcasing Oregon's commitment to maintaining its coastal highway bridges. Visitors can enjoy picnics and leisurely walks in this well-maintained area, making it an ideal destination for families.
This was a nice little place we found. A cute little beach that was pretty secluded for the morning.

We went here after visiting the one across it. The hike up to the lighthouse was full of trees and ocean views. Too bad you can't go in the lighthouse but for us the best part is the beach!

Another Conde McCullough designed beauty! Must be seen from the beach to be fully appreciated! It was under repair when I visited, Oregon takes good care of it's coastal highway bridges.

Absolutely love! Great place for an easy trip, with the kiddos. A nice walk up to the lighthouse. Clean area that is well maintained.

I found this photo opportunity when few people were on the beach, and the tide was out. This bridge is quite amazing!

Pepperoaks Park

Park
Pepperoaks Park is a charming and petite recreational area nestled in a pleasant community. It boasts delightful swinging benches situated in a shaded spot, providing respite from the sun's rays. Families often make pit stops here during road trips, allowing their children to disembark and enjoy themselves immensely. The absence of restroom facilities on-site should be noted.
Love it but it definitely gets boring after about half a hour

Cute little park with a table to assemble sammiches

Love it!! Beautiful park, well kept. In a nice neighborhood. Blocked from wind as well. This is my sons new favorite place to go! Thank you to who ever made it possible.
Jene W — Google review
A small, well cared-for park hidden in a quiet neighborhood. We stopped here for lunch (there's one picnic table) and to let the kids play before continuing our adventures for the day.

Kathleen and Nina's Pie and Specialty Restaurant is a charming breakfast spot housed in a cozy little building. The restaurant is known for its excellent service and delicious homemade food, particularly their pies and specialty breads. Customers rave about the generous portions and the delightful flavors of their dishes, such as the Marion berry sauce. While some may find the exterior of the building unassuming, it's quickly forgotten once you taste their delectable offerings.
Everything is homemade! The breads are delicious, Marion berry sauce delicious! Been stopping here for years now and this place is worth the stop!

First off, excellent service! Fantastic pie. Great breakfast food. I ordered a burger, bacon and egg, onion, lettuce and tomato. The do not serve burgers with traditional buns, they make their own bread as the buns. Good choice, however, the actual patty was very little compared to the bread and fixings. It was more like the size from a kids menu. That was my only complaint. I will be back, though, for breakfast only. Awesome pine tree out front, plus a yellow building, my favorite color.
Daniel L — Google review
The food was delicious!! Lisa and Donna are very nice and the service was excellent! You won’t be disappointed . The building isn’t the greatest to look at, but the food totally makes up for it! 5 stars!!

Small restaurant that looks like someones home. Extensive menu. Expensive as well but huge portion sizes. Stuffed Hashbrowns w 2/eggs and mixed berry pie

Wow was the food good here! The place is a bit beat up but it was clean. The smell of fresh baking just made me drool.

Good small town diner. Marionberry pie was great. Biscuits were fluffy not flakey so not what expected.
Steve M — Google review
the home fries are tasty + burgers are on delicious fresh bread.

I would echo some of the other reviews that said that going to this place is like going to Grandma's house and eating a good meal. It's comforting and cozy and the portions are massive and delicious. And the homemade bread tastes just like what my grandma actually made growing up. My day started out rough and so going to this place for breakfast was soothing end nostalgic. Lisa, our server, was possibly the sweetest lady I have ever met.
