The newly renovated restaurant features an extensive menu with options like steak, seafood, burgers, wings, and stone-fired pizza. With 83 taps and over 30 Minnesota brews available, it's the perfect place to enjoy American comfort food alongside delicious drinks. The establishment also hosts events like the popular Friday Fish Fry featuring crispy haddock.
We had such a great time at Taphouse Bar & Grill in Red Wing! The food was super tasty—our steaks were cooked just right, and the veggies were full of flavor. The sandwich with chips was really good too. Everything felt fresh and made with care. We sat outside on the patio and loved the view of the train tracks—it made the whole place feel fun and different. The service was fast and friendly, and the vibe was super chill. If you’re in Red Wing, you should definitely check this place out. Good food, good people, and a great place to relax. We’ll for sure be back!

Decent pub atmosphere and food/drink. Stopped by after a long the ride on the Cannon River Valley Trail. Service was slow but was a very busy Saturday fall afternoon. First time I've ever been to a bar or restaurant with NA beer on tap! Extra stars for that!!! We were able to charge our bike batteries while we waited for orders. Very helpful! I recommend a side order of the sweet potato tots - yum!!! Very good Reuben too!

wow it was great! the only minus is the flies on the summer terrace, but I don't know if the restaurant can somehow influence this. this is my second favorite restaurant in America now. and how good that it is so close 😀 we ordered fish and fries and these are the best fries I have ever eaten. also the pieces of meat their classic it's just incredible. also the barbecue burger and these buns will remain forever in my memory. these are the most delicious buns I've ever eaten. usually restaurants put a simple classic white not tasty bun, but here it is a perfect burger bun This is my longest review, I am very satisfied. The staff was also wonderful, but we just got lucky with the waitress. The toilet is a bit beat up, but I came to the restaurant to eat, not to the toilet. We will definitely come here again. and it's also great that you can pay with a QR code

One of the top three bloodies I’ve had and I love bloodies. We come here for the wings. Crispy and saucy. Finger licking good. I tried the Tri tip sandwich and loved it.

Bar and grill eats with lots of appetizers, perfect for watching your favorite game. Kid friendly and handicap friendly. Or experience wasn't the best, it took probably 45 minutes or so before a very wonderful waitress asked if we had talked with anyone yet, which we had not. She went and got our waiter and we ordered our apps drinks and lunch. We got our drinks, there were 6 of us, and that was the last time we seen our waiter until it was time for the check... The waitresses around us were all awesome and very busy. Our waiter unfortunately never cane to refill our waters or drinks. The food when it came out was great. 60/40 burgers, brisket burger, smash burger and chicken strips were all on point. Fries kinda tasted fishy so maybe an accidental mix up there. Great food non the less.

I decided to take a Corvette ride down along the Mississippi River to enjoy the weather and to get lunch. I looked for a place with outdoor seating, and a view of the river. I chose this place, and I'm glad I did! I really liked the view, the food, and the service (my waitress was very attentive). If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be stopping back.
Kevin S — Google review
Food was great. Service could have been a lot better, I think that our server was handling too many tables at a time. Regretfully nobody got a refill on their drinks, nor did I get the sauce that I requested after asking twice. I am still giving you five stars though because the food is good, and generally the atmosphere is good as well as a service but there have been a few times where the service has been a little sus. Everybody has bad days sometimes so I still tipped her over 25% on $150 so hopefully that made the rest of her day a little bit better and she was able to be in a better mood

Great spot. Was suggested to us by the marina when we docked and it did not disappoint. We had a group of 10. They got us in without issue. Place and bar was packed. We were all pleasantly surprised with the turn around on food time too! Clean plate club x10 dudes. Thanks for having us and helping our guy celebrate his birthday!

The Pottery Museum of Red Wing is a fascinating destination dedicated to preserving and celebrating the vibrant history of Red Wing's clay industry. It houses the world's largest collection of Red Wing clay products, showcasing over six thousand vintage items such as dinnerware, folk art, stoneware, and art pottery across thirteen thousand square feet of dynamic exhibits. Visitors can explore the museum's extensive displays featuring bowls, crocks, jugs, and elegant dinnerware used by Minnesota's pioneers.
Wow! What an amazing collection of crocks, pottery and other stoneware. Excellent signage and descriptions. They have done an excellent of bringing together the best collection of Red Wing and related stoneware. Super nice people too! And it's free. (with a donation jar).

Almost impossible to explain how comprehensive this is. Even people who do not have a natural interest in pottery will be blown away by the sheer scale of this museum. Everything from everyday objects to fine art, and a terrific museum store to boot. They ship!

This is such and awesome informative museum. I love how there are QR codes on every display that take you to more information. They also have iPads to use for this if needed. I loved seeing the historic photos and display items. All of the examples of the Red Wing crocks were mind blowing-must see if you are in town.

Found this very interesting. I never had any Red Wing pottery growing up. Just knew about it. Neat that there’s a self-guided tour brochure offer. I didn’t know about the different colors and variety. So many sizes. Great history. Enjoyed the gift shop. I really wanted a souvenir pot, but price was $39. I’ll make that purchase when I come back. Bonus root beer barrels in a basket at the entrance. Thank you!

Impressive collection of all things pottery. Museum is free admission but donations accepted which is unusual but much appreciated. Nice and reasonably priced gift store attached. We found a couple nice Minnesota gifts in there.

It was so nice to see all the pottery that is made in Red Wing. They have a gift shop that you can buy items. The display of different sizes of the large sauer kraut crocks was rather amazing.

Red Wing Brewery is a cozy and laid-back pub known for its in-house brewed draft beer and delicious pizzas. Despite its small size, the brewery produces around six to seven barrels of beer per week, ensuring that customers enjoy the freshest brews possible. The brewery offers three historic beers year-round, paying homage to Red Wing's brewing heritage from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Delicious Personal Pizzas . Tastes amazing. Family friendly. You want to make sure you stop here. Also a short walk to the railroad bridge as well! Service is great.

Red Wing Brewery is a nice little brewery in...you guessed it...Red Wing MN. Their hand tossed pizzas are very popular but I stopped to try their beer. They had 11 of their beers on for my stop. They included a scottish ale, farmhouse, kolsch, stout, Bavarian coffee ale, a red, a brown, an IPA, a 100year+ old recipe called a royalbrew, and an orange and lemon shandy. They also had 7 local guest taps, including a few ciders. Everything I tried was on point, and several were above average. Personally, I liked the scottish, red, brown, and still deciding on the royal. Regardless, I recommend that you go shopping for your RedWing boots before the brewery....or you may end up with too many boots. Really struggling if this 4 or 5 stars.

I had one of the best pizzas I've ever had here, when visiting some friends in Red Wing a while back. If you get a chance -- and it's still on the menu -- order the 'Seoul Food' pizza. It's amazing, seriously. Service is also fantastic. I really miss this place :)
Dave P — Google review
Absolutely delicious. Interesting specialty pizzas but honestly just the crust and sauce shows they know what they're doing. I had a Remmler Royal Brew and wife had Wild State Cider; both were top notch. Wonderful staff to boot. Full recommend!

We'd arrived to Red Wing not an hour before, starting the move into our new house, and needed to celebrate our fresh start with some quality local pizza. We went with Red Wing Brewery based on online reviews and pictures. We were able to order right away and sat at a table right near the front of the restaurant. On that Thursday evening, much of their business was take-out, and we soon saw why--the food is freshly-made and that takes time. That was fine by us (though we know to call ahead next time!) as we enjoyed our drinks, chatted, and watched the street outside. My husband had a meat lovers pizza, my son had a custom cheese pizza, while I had the white pizza. They were all hot and tasty, and the cheesy garlic bread was delicious, too. Definitely a pizza place to order from again!

We were visiting Red Wing and wanted to find a GF pizza. 🍕. We drove the few minutes from the St James and parked easily right out front. Right from the start, we were welcomed and were able to quickly order at the counter not only for a GF pizza, but also a locally brewed GF beer from St Paul. The pizza and beer were both excellent, and the leftover pizza is my lunch today while I fly home to Tampa. Thank you Red Wing Brewery for a great experience.
Tom O — Google review
My, oh my, i really enjoyed my visit here. First time and everything was superb. I loved the beer and the pizzas. For beer we had — Cokins Bavarian Ale, and Remmler’s Royal Brew. Both beers are well made and quite tasty. The Remmler’s is made following a resurrected recipe from the Remmler’s Brewery, an original brewery of Red Wing. I had an 8” Seoul Food Pizza K-Mama sauce (authentic Korean hot sauce from Minneapolis, MN), mozzarella, chicken, shredded carrots, and celery. And my wife had an 8” Chicken Alfredo Pizza Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, diced chicken, and parsley. These specialty pizzas are $16.95 but they are very good and worth it. The crust is very good — medium-thin, crunchy, and very tasty. The cheese is 100% whole milk mozzarella and the sauces are either tomato sauce or garlic white. I plan to return.

1st, this place really has great pizza. But maybe on our visit they where having a issue….it took 1 hour to get the pizza from the time we ordered them. They are delicious, great crust, but a hour is too long. Other then that it’s your craft brewery vibe. Some picnic tables for seating. Which is nice if your bored with your company or lover, you can start chatting with the people write next to you. Try there food & drinks. Or at least someone else close to stare at. The A.C. Works well! Located in a nice area with a couple other bars on the river to bar hop to

Best restaurant in Red Wing. One of the best in the nation. The service is on point. The kitchen staff is excellent. Everything on the menu is wonderful and flavorful. Indooor, outdoor and bar seating available. If you sit at the bar, Jenna is a top tier bartender!

Super cool spot in a beautiful historic hotel. The restaurant was busy on a Friday evening, definitely recommend having a reservation or calling in advance to check the wait time. We put our names in and got a table about 1.5 hours later, which was totally fine for us! The food was delicious, and our server Patrick was fantastic and so friendly. :) highly recommend this spot for dinner (and I've heard they have incredible brunch too!). We loved the cheese curds and brussel sprouts appetizers!

We stayed at the Treasure Island Resort Hotel for two nights and three days. On our second day, we visited the charming town of Red Wing. I had researched a place where we could enjoy lunch overlooking the Mississippi River, and we decided to drop by without a reservation. To our delight, we were promptly seated at a window table (we opted to sit indoors as it was quite hot outside). Thanks to our friendly server Beverly, she recommended the delicious Caprese sandwich, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the wild rice soup and the poke bowl. The wild rice soup is definitely one I would recommend among the ones I have tried. The poke bowl, with its spicy and tangy sauce combined with fresh quinoa and vegetables, was very fresh and satisfying. The cold brew coffee was also excellent. If I return to Red Wing, I will certainly come back here just for these dishes. The interior was clean and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, I rated the atmosphere four out of five stars because three persistent flies kept entering from the terrace and trying to land on our food throughout the meal. It was a bit distracting having to shoo them away repeatedly. I suppose even the flies have heard how exceptional the food is here! 😅
Hyunju N — Google review
I loved this place. We had a chance of rain the day we went - Table of ten, so we had to stay inside. However our table was made with broken pieces of pottery with epoxy over it. Very cool table. Tons of fresh flowers throughout restaurant. Large menu options, each dish very eye pleasing and delicious. Save room for the desserts…..so good, all of them. Great service and delicious food. We will be back.

Wonderful restaurant. We had lunch here on the first day of spring on March 20, 2025. The pot roast was said to have been cooked for 16 hours was delicious, seemingly worth every minute of the 16 hours. The bourbon pecan pie was the best ever. The coffee was excellent. All in all a great lunch. Service was good.
Mory J — Google review
What could be better than a girl’s day out?! Nothing! And lunchtime on a Friday led us to visit Scarlet Kitchen & Bar. It was quite busy when we arrived (the patio was hopping) but we were seated inside near the windows. It was very bright and airy inside. Beverly was our server and she was the absolute sweetest! She was as attentive as possible with the busyness of the restaurant and gave us great recommendations. I started with a mango margarita and my friend had the blackberry margarita. Both of the drinks were yummy and refreshing. We then ordered the crab rangoon dip and the BLTA with fries to share. This is where I marked down stars in my review for service— the food took over 45 minutes to come out!! It was a good thing we were there for a leisurely lunch because that is a long time to wait for food. The food itself was all very tasty— the crab dip was hot and it worked well with the fried naan bread it was served with. The BLTA was balanced and the jalapeño bacon gave it a nice kick. The multi-grain bread it was served on held up well to the sandwich. The French fries were also perfectly hot and crispy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Scarlet and would return— the fantastic flavors in the food made up for the lack of speed from the kitchen.
Jessica K — Google review
Excellent food and service! We were impressed by the size of portions and quality of food, especially for kids - a lot of restaurants skimp on that. My husband got Thai mahi-mahi and I had salmon and both did not disappoint. With drinks, appetizers, and main juice, we both spent around $35 per person. Kids meals included sides and beverage and were very affordable, too.
Ilona Y — Google review
The food itself was wonderful. Big portions, very tasty. But the service was incredibly slow. Shortly after we sat down, I ordered the house martini (which was delicious) but it took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. After we ordered our appetizer, I notified the food runner that we'd be requiring plates and a serving spoon. After muttering something under her breath in an unfriendly tone, she delivered the plates to our table one-by-one. It was rude and also very strange. Long story short, our whole party of 6 was there by 7pm (admittedly, slight late for our 6:30pm reservation) and we did not get the check until well after 8:30pm. This delayed our post-dinner plans rather severely. Our waiter was very polite and friendly. Nevertheless, the food was very slow in coming to our table. The hostess did offer to comp our dessert but by that point, we'd already been there for too long and just needed to leave.

Beautiful well preserved theatre. The singing and acting was amazing. The only thing i could complain about is the cramped leg space. This is only a problem if you have long legs. I would definitely return.

I recently went to see my first performance at the Seldom Theater in Red Wing! I went with some friends and we saw the B2wins! What a gem of a historic theater hidden in the quaint town of Red Wing! I feel like I was instantly transported into the past. Sitting in this theater for this show definitely enhanced my experience! It will now be on my list of go to places to see a show! Also of note, before the show, I received an email detailing where I could park and where I might enjoy a dinner before the show and how to get my tickets at the box office.

Food is fantastic! Best bakery in Southern Minnesota! This was my first visit here and it wasn't super busy but many people besides me, had a tougher time figuring out "the line" system. Staff seems like they were exhausted. All together a good experience but a bit of a hassle.
Cary S — Google review
In this place we find many bakery, candy, and ice cream options. Especially the donuts are delicious. They have chairs in and outside which make it really enjoyable during the city’s vibrant summer vibe.
Vanessa M — Google review
A bit bummed with the experience as service was pretty slow and place feels disorganized - no line markers, lots of people milling, and very slow service. Panini had single layer of ham with too many peppers so felt overpriced, coffee and donuts were good but with the long waits just didn't feel like "best bakery in MN" donuts. Dirty Soda was good but cashier gave a big sigh when I ordered one. Cute place in a cute town though.

Had a little family trip down to Red Wing to try the Hanisch bakery, I’ve seen a bunch of raving reviews recently. Huge selection of donuts and baked goods! Might be the best scone I’ve ever had! (blueberry). Attached to the bakery is a sandwich/coffee counter and a place to order pizza. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our visit! Staff was helpful and patient (even with our kids who were overwhelmed by all their choices)! We enjoyed that there were so many old fashioned and cake donut options! We liked all our choices - maple cake donut, peanut butter cup cake donut, and iced cookies to name a few! The line to get donuts was long, but moved quickly.
J M — Google review
The amount of donuts selections was crazy. I wish I lived closer to be able to try all of them. We were satisfied with all the variety that we did try. The coffee was really delicious too. I would highly recommend someone stopping by while they’re in town. The folks running it are super friendly as well.
S W — Google review
Pastries, bread doughnuts delicious. I am giving 3 stars based on: A. New layout makes it more chaotic than usual. B. Have someone dedicated to the register when it is busy…if you just want to buy a loaf of bread it shouldn’t take 15 minutes. C. Buying coffee should also not mean someone should wait in line 10 minutes to get said cup of coffee. I get the bakery and making the goods is a priority, but honestly it was more enjoyable when it was small.

Bayside Saloon & Grill is a laid-back spot in Red Wing with a diverse menu and a rooftop deck. The restaurant offers reasonably priced food, including unique burgers and fresh salads. Visitors can enjoy the scenic view of boats on the river while dining on the patio. The service is friendly and efficient, and the food is described as mouthwateringly tasty, with options like Cajun chicken sandwiches and handmade burgers.
Stopped in tonight and had the Pork Chop. My husband had the special, the Protein Bowl. We enjoyed a glass of wine with both delicious meals. The banana cheesecake is out of this world! The staff was friendly, efficient and attentive! The new owner is very pleasant and receptive to opinions. So glad we stopped in!

Bayside Saloon has a great atmosphere, and great food for the price. I went with my significant other for dinner and we were both left impressed. The house made soup was by far some of the best local soup I can find! I can't remember a time where I've had such a good soup - this dish alone was worth every dollar. For dinner, we both had a ribeye steak, one 12 ounce and the other sixteen. The twelve ounce was cooked to a perfect medium rare but the sixteen was a little over cooked, more like medium well. However, the flavor was still plenty in shape and was worth every bite. This place may be a bar and grill, but they went over the top and NAILED the grill portion! Would I visit this place again? Yes. Would I recommend this place to a friend? Yes.

Cozy all American diner and bar, full of friendly folk, and that pleasant Midwestern service. The food was ok, but that's about it. 🦐 Ordering the shrimp cocktail may have been an error on my part. But it looked and tasted like five shrimp from the fridge, put on a plate, served with a semi fitting dipping sauce. 🍔 The California burger was combined well and had a nice quality paddy. The bun had just been sliced through, and the overall experience might have been improved quite a bit if the bun had been toasted, fried or something.

Wonderful. Great atmosphere. Nice local bar/restaurant with great food. Service was top notch. Shrimp cocktail was fantastic. Huge shrimp and cocktail sauce was the bomb 💣! Broiled Walleye was perfect. Small issue with entree was handled with high level of professionalism. Oh...and beer 🍺 was cold!! Thank you! 😊

This was the kind of first-time visit that makes us want to go back for more! We made a spontaneous visit at 5pm on a Friday and lucked out to get a seat on the patio. Molly was our server, and she was fantastic--very busy, but we were never left lacking. I had cider while my husband had a beer. The menu has a broad selection of items, but we were drawn to the same thing on this visit--the fried walleye. I ordered it with side salad and rice pilaf, while my husband ordered an extra filet and with fries on the side. For an appetizer, we had fried cheese curds, and they were fantastic. Piping hot, squeaky, and crisp. The side salads were nice and fresh. Our main dishes were so very good, too. It was an incredibly satisfying meal and experience.

When my mom came to town I had to take her to Bayside. Local favorite spot! The service was friendly and fast. The food was fresh, hot and mouthwateringly tasty. The spices on that Cajon chicken sandwich gave your tongue a taste bud delight. And those fresh handmade burgers are some of the best around. Although I'm not happy with the town for how they positioned the bridge going into next door that messed up the beautiful view of the river well see what it looks like when the bridge is finished. All in all great drinks, delicious food, small town atmosphere. I like this place. So good that when Jay Lenno came to town this is where he ate. Try the steaks!

This is one of the only dog-friendly establishments in Red Wing and we're so glad we found it! There's a great little courtyard on the side of the cafe with tables, chairs and plenty of shade. You order food and drinks inside and they'll bring the food out to your table. Fresh, high quality food and great coffee.

Mexican restaurant
I enjoy exploring local cuisine, and recently visited a newer restaurant called Rancho Loco Grill & Bar. The service was prompt as we were seated right away, and we were offered salsa and a bean dip to snack on while deciding what to order. I opted for seafood enchiladas while my companion chose a chicken burrito. They had margaritas on special, so I couldn't resist trying the raspberry flavor which was amazing. The food itself was delicious, making it an enjoyable evening.
I enjoyed the food. Authentic tasting and fresh. Healthy portions...enough for me to bring home enough for a snack. The drinks are creative and generous as well...A variety...Nice family atmosphere, friendly waiters and great service. I would definitely go there again.

Stopped here for an early dinner and was impressed. You can tell the chips are freshly fried and the salsa and bean dips they give you are great. Menu is huge which personally I like but does make it hard to decide too because so much looked good. Food came out quickly, hot, and tasted great. Even the rice they give you on the side, so many Mexican restaurants it's dry and more of a filler, but here is was moist and had a really good flavor I was left wanting more. To top it off, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

I'm skeptical of Mexican food in the Midwest, as it tends to cater to bland palates, but I was delighted to find that Rancho Loco is a lot like the restaurants I grew up with in California. The menu is huge and offers a wide variety of food, and what we had actually included some spices and nuance. A number of different hot sauces sat on the table, too, to add a little heat if so desired. Portions were huge. The restaurant had a nice ambience, too. The tables were nicely spaced out, the decor on-theme without being over-the-top. A soccer game was on the TV over us, which my husband enjoyed watching. Service was great the whole time. We were never kept waiting long, and food came out right as we finished up our chip bowl. I'd definitely come here again!

The service here is friendly and efficient. The food is great and of generous portions. I highly recommend Chimichanga Parmasiano. It's more like a French pastry with one of the best sauces I've ever had. The veggies were caramelized perfectly.

Rancho Loco Grill & Bar- Red Wing, MN Over the weekend, my family of four visited Rancho Loco in Red Wing. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and upsetting especially as we were trying to accommodate our child’s dietary needs. When placing our order, we specifically asked our waitress to serve the vegetables on a separate plate and to provide double rice with no beans, as our 9-year-old son does not like spicy food or beans. The food took quite a while to arrive. When it finally did, the steak was covered in a green vegetable sauce, and the second plate had rice, beans and vegetables not what we had requested. We politely reminded the waitress of our request, and her reaction was unexpectedly unprofessional. She angrily grabbed the vegetable plate, slammed it onto another table, and raised her voice, saying, “Okay, I’ll bring you a different plate.” She did not take back the incorrect steak. When we asked for a new steak prepared plain, as originally ordered, she again responded with attitude, asking, “What’s wrong with it?” We explained that it had a sauce on it we didn’t want. She left without further response. About 10-15 minutes later, the cook personally brought out a plain steak, which was appreciated and finally matched our request. However, when the bill came, we were charged for both steaks, despite the first being incorrect due to their mistake. By that point, we just wanted to leave the uncomfortable environment and decided to pay without arguing further. This experience left us disappointed, especially due to the lack of courtesy and professionalism shown toward our family and particularly toward our child’s needs. Based on this visit, we will not be returning, and we do not recommend this restaurant to families, especially those with young children or dietary requests. Thank you.

Red Wing Cafe is a charming spot that captures the essence of a hometown diner, offering an inviting atmosphere where both locals and visitors feel at home. While some patrons have experienced longer wait times for their meals, many agree that the delicious food makes it worth the wait. The menu features standout items like stuffed strawberry French toast and hearty corned beef hash, all prepared with care and served in generous portions.
the food was tasty-riffic and Minnesota “plentiful” (PLUS pancakes are enormous) BUT the SMILES from customers Jim, Dave & Joe (Grumpy ole’ guy team) and super-riffic servers “Tiffany” & “Kerry” made me leave with “More Smiles Than I Came In With!” 😃✌️ p.s. lots of historical pictures too “Run-A-Way Bill” was here!

This was our first time visiting and we can't wait to come back! Not only was the staff amazing, but the patrons were also very kind. I could tell there were lots of regulars that visit and I certainly see why it's their favorite place. Food was phenomenal! Hometown diner without the extra grease that you would expect. The local syrup was an awesome touch and super delicious. The French toast was some of the best I've had around the area. Even our young kids appreciated the atmosphere and devoured their food. Bonus: clean, fresh bathrooms!

It is true waiting time is very long but food was excellent. We had corned beef hash, huge pancakes, french toast and country fried steak shared between 2 adults and two kids. If you’re in hurry, you might consider another local place but if you are on vacation, get coffee or lemonade as you’ll have refill while waiting for your order.

The Smokin' Oak Rotisserie & Grill is a family-owned restaurant in Red Wing, MN that specializes in wood-fired rotisserie cuisine. They use oak and cherry wood to sear ribs, chicken, and loin roasts over an open fire, resulting in deliciously flavored meats. The menu features a variety of traditional comfort foods made with organic and local ingredients. With its casual atmosphere and emphasis on high-quality meat dishes, this restaurant is a paradise for meat lovers.
with 2 sides. I decided on just a double serving of the Garlic & Herb mashed potatoes. My fiancé got the Half a chicken meal with the Garlic & Herb mashed potatoes, as well as the potato salad. My family was also along and we all got similar plates. The only thing I can say as well as not really complain about is my 1/4th Rack of Ribs was cold. I farm so most of my meals are cold by the time I get them from my mom or grandmother. All I cared about was the flavor and if it was moist or over cooked. It was cooked to perfection and even while cold it was still juicy and delicious. The chicken was hot and delicious, very filling and the flavor was perfect. One more thing and something I always find for some reason all the time nowadays. The soda wasn't good. A very small thing that doesn't reflect the business or its standing. It could have been as simple as a pinched line or an off balance carbonated water to syrup ratio. But seriously, this place was amazing. Don't listen to me complaining; I was on a boat all day. Go check this place out; it's amazing...!!!

I really wanted to like this place but I am giving it a hard pass on visiting ever again. The brisket dinner was like dry pot roast. Not sliced brisket… just chunks of meat. The ribs were underwhelming and cold. The “rotisserie” wings were just deep fried wings… but these were hot and yet had many cold spots. The hamburger was served overcooked and dry. 3 people, $115, not a strong value for poorly executed food menu. I gave 2 stars because the bathrooms were clean and the overall facilities were decent.

We came hungry and left stuffed, our server was awesome, she kept our drinks full it was hot when we stopped and she made sure we had waters the whole time we shared the sampler appetizer it was worth the price the brisket was tender and flavorful the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside the ribs were tasty even the mashed potatoes were special! Had a great time!

Considering the business of the events happening this weekend, I (and my entire party of 6) thought the restaurant and especially our waitress did a wonderful job of handling the stress of all the extra attention. She was upfront and honest with us from the get-go with the wait and items that happened to run out, was charming, empathetic, and ABOVE accommodating. (I looked for our receipt but think we forgot it so all I have to describe our waitress was a beautiful tall blonde whose name may have been something reminiscent of Mandy? So sorry if completely off, but either way, spectacular serving) AND the cooks wished us a wonderful night on our way out. So happy we chose this place to dine and share memories at!

We got the chip trio and the brisket burrito. The burrito was a 5. The chips were a 2. Everything was good. Server was nice. No fun NA drink options.

Initial service was really slow. Got the "big drummies" for the appetizer It took quite some time to come out and it was 3 dummies and 3 flats. Flats were rubbery and the sauce just made them slimy. Give the wings a one star at best. The Sandwiches were excellent! Very hot! Freshly made. Both the regular and sweet potato fries came up seconds before they hit the table. Hot and crispy. Sandwiches easy 5 star.

Great place to eat if you like BBQ. Their brisket is very good. I had the Texan burger which has brisket, onion ring cheese and Texan sauce on it, was very good. We stopped around 6pm on the 4th of July and got seated right away and food came quick also.

One of my favorite courses I have played in Minnesota. An hour drive from the Twin Cities. The layout of the course is what I loved. With downhill and uphill teeshots; tight and open teeshots; beautiful tree-lined fairways with some dog legged holes both left and right and straight: this course offers challenges for any golfer. I would love to see how the colors show during the fall.

One of my favorite courses, been playing it for 25 years. Finished in 3 hours, 15 minutes teeing off at 10:30 Sunday 27Oct24. I was waiting all day, so I stopped in 12 fairway to finish my lunch and drink as no one was within 3 holes behind me all day and the next three holes play slow. A man and his adolescent son waited on the tee for a few minutes. I noticed and resumed playing normally. They finally caught up again on 17 fairway and hit into me. Missed by 5 feet and yelled fore as the ball landed. He explained it was my fault as I should have played through the group ahead. The polite gentleman in the pro shop wasn't there at the end of the round to complain. Probably won't play here again anytime soon.
Arickmccue — Google review
This is your classic municipal small city golf course. Elevation change was the nice part of the course and some of the views of the valley. The course is in need of major modernization. Some holes are very gimicky with super tight valleys/doglegs. Gives only one option of play. There was one hole where the "signature" tree is overhanging green, but this tree is dead a d had clearly been for awhile. Just take it down. It could use a 50% reduction of trees. Areas where they are overhanging fairway. It is much easier to maintain the courae with less trees and more creative use of long fescue and rough. The bunkers are in major need of updating. They are dirt, not sand. The greens are OK at best. Clearly dirt based old greens that are very average. They have an ant issue which is a death sentence for the greens and fringe. This could be cleared up via insecticide. Overall I was a bit disappointed
Ian A — Google review
Very beautiful course. Very hilly. It's not a long drivers course. It's a placement course. Placing the ball in a perfect position will allow you to have a great second shot. It's not about distance off the tee.

The Lowlands layout is great! Greens roll true and consistent. Fun mix of woods and parkland style and elevation changes are somewhat dramatic. The Highlands had some better views, but the Lowlands compete with really nice courses throughout the cities.
Doug C — Google review
What a beautiful course! The course was in amazing condition and the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Tons of elevation changes and shine great views. And you can't find a better course for the money. If you like hilly, tight, tree line courses, then you have to play here.

Stopped in after a lovely bicycle ride on the cannon valley trail. Got a couple of ice creams. I ordered a double in a chocolate dipped cone. They gave me 4 big scoops! Way to much, but I was happy to give it my best shot. I got scoops of the coconut, and the fudge. Both amazingly good. Staff was very nice, and helpful. Lots of other confections to choose from. Maybe another time we would try the chocolates. The chocolate covered potato chips looked amazing. Would definitely come back.

We’re visiting Red Wing & this was our first time to the ice cream shop. Understand when reading this I am way to please. Doesn’t take much & I would much prefer to leave a positive review than negative, but I’m hoping this will be seen by management. It’s a pretty store. Things were nicely arranged & displayed. Unfortunately , we would never go back in there. The older gal with the short hair & round dark glasses was extremely rude. No hello, or anything except a glare. Walked into the back area where candy/chocolates are made. Came back out & asked what we needed. So she got my ice cream. Grabbed a cone with her bare unwashed hands & scooped my ice cream, as her hair brushed into it each time. Not a pleasant experience at all. We’re so disappointed. .

I really like this place in addition to what they sell, their services, and that also that you can see them making some of the confections as well as a SUPER convenient, SUPER fun place to eat the ice cream across the street at the fountain! My kids loved it, choosing some hand made kisses and a superman ice-cream bowl! If you're in Red Wing, you should definitely stop by for a treat!

We bought some chocolates here last weekend. This review is not about quality or selection of the goods, those were fine. However, when I paid with my debit card, the actual charge on my bank account was $0.66 more than the receipt showed. Nowhere on the receipt it said anything about any additional charges or fees for using a card versus cash, it was just total for the chocolates plus tax. So, why was I charged extra? 🤔 Anyway, I wasn't going to call them about 66 cents difference, but it is dishonest practice.

Bay Point Park is a stunning park located in Red Wing, Minnesota, near the downtown area and along the picturesque Mississippi River. The park is a hub for community celebrations and offers various amenities such as picnic areas, a playground, boat launch, volleyball court, and a year-round illuminated walking path. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Red Wing and its surrounding bluffs while strolling along the Mississippi River shoreline.
Here are the Top 5️⃣ Best Things About Bay Point Park in Red Wing, MN! 1️⃣ Picturesque views of the Mississippi River, Barn Bluff/He-Mni-Can, downtown Red Wing and the beautiful Red Wing Eisenhower Bridge (MN-WI Hwy 63 Bridge). Also, the perfect backdrop to a family photo with the Red Wing sign! 📸 2️⃣ It’s a busy area, but not too busy! — Boats in the marinas or on the river, walkers with dogs 🐕 on the paved path, kids playing on the playgrounds 🛝, picnics, photographers 📸 taking pictures of wildlife and scenery and tow boats and barges cruising by. 3️⃣Expansive playground 🛝 that has equipment for the littles and the older children. Plenty of green space for those kids interested in running around or playing a game of flag football 🏈. There is plenty of parking in this park. The park is well maintained and across the river. There are two picnic shelters and few benches. There is playground as well. There is nice little walk adjacent to river. It’s cool place to spend few hours.

Beautiful park hugging the Mississippi River on one side, the historic Boat House Village on another and the marina at one end. The Boat House village is one of the only remaining "gin pole" installations still available, where some boat houses are over 100 years old and are registered on the historical society. Charcoal grills, ample parking, modern bathrooms and so much more. Take 3 laps around the 2/3 of a mile walking trail and you have 2 miles in. You will also enjoy the sights and sounds as you pass the young children playing on the large, multi-structure playground, families having a picnic under one of the two open shelters, boisterous talk on the sand volleyball court and the variety of boats motoring up and down the river. Or one can simple sit on one of the many park benches, picnic tables and some swinging benches lining the water and enjoy the tranquility and beauty around you. Throw off the mask, kick off your shoes and let down your hair and enjoy all that this park has to offer.

The restaurant provides an array of delectable options to cater to various tastes. While it may have limited capacity and unconventional hours, it is known for accommodating gluten-free diets. Visitors praise the restaurant's captivating ambiance and commend the attentive service despite having only one server.
Wonderful meal. Took our daughter for her birthday. We had Swedish Meatballs, Braised beef on noodles, and the Salmon and Black rice. All were beautifully plated and and delicious. Service was great. Ordered a crème brulee and pot du cream for dessert. I don't think we left a bite of anything.

The Staghead is a cozy bar-restaurant with a laid back and friendly atmosphere. It’s a great place to meet with friends to conversate while eating very good food. Our server was attentive, congenial, and knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. Overall, service was excellent. We had the Staghead Burger with roasted wedge potatoes and salmon clam chowder with a baguette. The burger was prepared medium as requested, was juicy and flavorful. Chowder was light, flavorful and delicious. Both dishes were perfect for a cold day! We will for sure eat here next time we’re in Red Wing. If you’re visiting for the day put The Staghead on your list . It’s in a great area to shop as well.

What a gem of a restaurant! We visited in April and I was immediately mesmerized by the place as soon as I walked in. It's got great ambience! We came to visit some friends that moved nearby and collectively decided on this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and not your run-of-the-mill fare. They served dishes that are oftentimes only found in bigger cities like beef tartare. Everything about this place was great. And although there was only one server, she hustled and did an amazing job! We'll definitely be back

The bartender provided amazing, attentive and friendly service. The Salmon Salad was shockingly good. I don’t typically order salads, but I would hands down order this again. The skin was cooked to perfection. I would definitely return. Cute place for a date night. It seemed to accommodate large group reservations as well.

We drive through Red Wing a couple times a year. I would definitely stop here again. Great gluten free choices! Burgers and salads are great. Their main menu choices also look good. They make everything from scratch and to each order.

We stopped here after a golf outing in Lake City. I was excited to find a place with healthier food. I had the seared salmon dish. The salmon was prepared perfectly, but the coconut curry sauce was a bit bland. My husband tried the trout entree which came with a delicious corned beef hash. The trout had lots of bones (right, we know), but just be careful. Beet salad was good, clam chowder was a little weak. Service was great.

Fabulous food and fair prices. I had the brussel sprout salad!! $13. SO yummy. My friend had the crab stuffed avocado and lobster bisque soup. Menu changes up next week, the chef said they are adding some more lighter seafood options. Highly recommend!

The Mac Shack & Specialties is a delightful counter-service eatery that offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes, including pizza, salads, sandwiches, and their standout mac and cheese. With outdoor seating available, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy your meal in the fresh air. Diners rave about the gluten-free options here; many have been pleasantly surprised by how delicious they are! The owner takes pride in his craft, even smoking his own meats for an extra layer of flavor.
If you love comfort food this is a good place to try. Mac n Cheese is creamy and delish! I had the Philly Mac n cheese. They have cheese steaks, pizzas and wings as well. Staff was very friendly. You order at a counter and then you can take out or sit at a table.

This was the first time visit for my friends and myself. We picked it based on Google reviews and its proximity to the Cannon Valley trailhead. Proved to be a great place for a post ride lunch. There were five of us in the party. One chose pizza which he described as excellent. The rest of us chose from among the great many variations on Mac cheese. These are assembled while your watch behind a a counter somewhat reminiscent of a subway sandwich shop. Then off to the oven. Servings were uniformly large and reasonably priced. The medium pizza proved to be sufficiently large for two, possibly three people. Three of the four mac and cheese orders in my party left food in the oven so to speak. (The signature mac and cheese variations are served in single serving size cast iron, Dutch ovens, which is not only unique, but serves to keep the contents warm.) I had ridden more miles than the rest, and I was perfectly happy to consume all of my brisket and barbecue mac cheese entree. Water and soft drinks for beverages. Alas, no beer, which would go great with either the pizza or the Mac cheese. I'll go back again the next time I'm in Red Wing.

Absolutely loved The Mac Shack in Red Wing! I rode high in the Texas Biscuit Burrito—flaky, savory, and packed with flavor. My friends had the Buffalo Chicken Mac Burrito, Philly Cheesesteak Mac, and the Low Decay Dirt Hot Mac. Each dish was unique, wildly flavorful, and totally worth trying. Creative comfort food done right. Five stars without hesitation. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

restaurant with a really good selection and a brilliant use for a pizza oven. very busy the day we were there. we had to wait about 20 minutes for our food. Was delicious and worth the wait, would be even better without it. it's available on doordash. would be fantastic for a picnic. great for kids that are picky eaters. if we lived in a neighborhood we would be there often. When we're in town for a concert we will swing by.

With a diverse menu featuring fresh ingredients and no preservatives in their bread, it's an ideal spot for a quick meal without the hassle of long lines. Many fans rave about their delicious offerings, like the Italian BMT on Italian bread with American cheese—definitely worth trying! Plus, Subway's team excels at handling catering orders seamlessly, ensuring special occasions are memorable.

Got a kids meal with Apple sauce and a juice box and ordered a Diet Coke and bag of SunChips. I only received the sandwich and Diet Coke didn’t receive the drink or side of the kid’s meal. Called the location and they said normally people get themselves for pick up don’t know if I believe that as the other location in town, put all the stuff in the bag for me. How is anybody supposed to know that what you’re supposed to do when they don’t tell you I would assume that they would give it to you. And at least at the other location in town, their drinks are behind the counter so I wouldn’t be able to get that myself anyways if it’s the same set up as the other one. don’t recommend if you order ahead if you want all your stuff

We went into Subway to get our order for Doordash. Kaylee Eckhoff, stared at us and watched us take the order without drinks. We Drop the food off to the person without drinks. We went back and asked about the drinks, we got one of the drinks but they were out of the other so we ask kaylee what we should do and she didn’t answer and walked in the back with no help. So we had to grab our own cup and drink for the customer.

Walked in. Girl look miserable, never made eye contact with me and was rearranging and filling in her trays. As I’m waiting like for four minutes, another customer walks in and she acknowledges her and starts taking her order. Almost like if I was invisible. And then I told her are you gonna pretend like I’m not even here? And she stated I said hello and you didn’t say anything back. Which is not true. And then I said forget it you know what I’ll just go somewhere else and I left the store. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the reason why stores like these go out of business. Very unprofessional. Leave your problems at home. It’s not my fault or anybody else’s fault that you have issues that are not my concern.
Roger F — Google review
We stopped for dinner between 6:30-7 on 1/19/24. Walked in, no one in the place. No workers appeared until we were at the counter. Zero eye contact. No greeting like, "Hello". Only asked for our order. There were 2 girls that waited on us. It was obvious we were disturbing their evening and they had no problem letting us know. Sandwiches were good. No complaint. Service was some of the worst I've seen. Do better, ladies.
Holly R — Google review
Great food that is more on the healthy side. I love that they don't put preservatives in their bread. Definitely worth the cost
Ben S — Google review
The coolers for the veggies are set way too low and the bins are frozen. Which then leads to the veggies being mushy. I hadn’t come here in months hoping it would change since I had noticed other local stores doing the same. Kind of slow service since they only had two people on and couldn’t keep up with the demand. Store was very clean. Was not impressed with the mushy veggies.
Tom — Google review
I really like subway because they have great food and there's never a huge line do you can get in and out if you're in a hurry. They have a great selection of sandwiches and awesome chip options, please if you're reading this try the Italian bmt on Italian bread and American cheese. The only reason it isn't a 5 star is because I live on the other side of town so I don't get there that often. It has nothing to do with their food or staff it's just where I live.

Nature & Parks
Colvill Park in Red Wing, Minnesota is a picturesque city park that offers a wide range of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. The park features amenities such as a boat launch, tennis courts, picnic shelters, and an event building. Families can enjoy the spacious picnic area and playground with engaging play structures. Additionally, there are trails for walking or biking around the park's perimeter. Birdwatchers can also spot eagles during peak migration and mating season in March.
Colville Park is beautiful year round. The views are incredible from every spot. The river winds along one side and the bluffs frame the rest. There is ample parking, sidewalks, seating, and entertainment. The playground is huge. There is a lovely herb garden. There are boats to see on the river and in the marina. There is a waterpark. We enjoy watching eagles, as they love this area.
Melissa G — Google review
Park is hidden gem, I've driven past for the last 25 years and didn't know it existed until we hosted a family reunion at the pavilion and was incredibly impressed with all the amenities, playground was great, horseshoe pits, restrooms more than adequate parking and something for everyone of all ages!
Andrew P — Google review
The location is ideal, right on the Mississippi River. But the pavilion we were at for a family reunion is in need of repair. There is a huge end to end crack in the cement floor that goes from one end to the other in the main walk area. Someone could trip and fall. The grill has been in horrible shape for as long as I can recall.
John W — Google review
Beautiful and well-maintained city park with all the amenities one could want. Features include a water park, playground, garden, river walk, benches, picnic tables and shelters, grills, boat launch, marinas, and more. In winter, Colvill Park is one of the best places to watch bald eagles on the Upper Mississippi River.

We rented a building for a family reunion which went over very well. There is a great playground for children. And scheduling the building with the city was very easy. The gal who helped me was on top of getting the key to me prior to our reunion. Coalville park is in a very nice area...

This state park covers many acres and offers so much for the family, nature enthusiasts and the average dog walker. From the Mississippi view, to the open grassy picnic, recreational areas, to the universal playground and discovery garden, to the over a mile paved wooded, walking trail. Boat launch, five picnic shelters, tennis court, basketball court, horse shoe pits, shuffle board, bean bag toss, volleyball court, benches and picnic tables, couple smaller playgrounds and a very large interactive play area are strategically placed throughout the park. The Discovery Garden is a beautifully maintained green thumb enthusiasts happy place with so many varieties of flowers and plants. Summer months one can also enjoy the water park and the Colville Concessions.

He Mni Can/ Barn Bluff Trail Head is the starting point for various hikes leading to the top of a prominent hill, offering stunning panoramic views of the city and the river. Visitors can drive up Sorin's Bluff for picturesque town views or opt for a hike up the iconic Barn Bluff/He Mni Can along the Mississippi River. Colvill Park is an ideal spot for eagle watching, especially during peak migration in March.
What an amazing trail hike! Great parking area with plenty of spots. A few choices of trails to take to get to the top. Super views of Red Wing and Wisconsin. Definitely a great hike to take if you are in the area.
Denai C — Google review
Barn Bluff is worth the climb. The views are incredible and the trails vary depending on exercise levels. I loved seeing Red Wing from up high as we climbed. Since it was early spring, it was easy to peek through the trees and see all over town. From the top we could see the river and beyond into Wisconsin. We stayed at the lookout point for a little bit and soaked in the view. I like how one part of the trail pointed out easier vs harder trail options. There was a map that we stopped at to route where we wanted to go. I appreciated the ease of navigation. It will take awhile to build up my stamina to do this hike without struggle. I love a good challenge, I’m simply out of shape from the winter. It’s a mostly steady incline with a few spots to sit and take breaks the further up you go. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.
Melissa G — Google review
It is an excellent hike for those that want an easy/moderate hiking experience. The map is easy to follow. Time: It took us close to 2 hours and 45 minutes to finish our hike. This included taking several breaks and enjoying the views. So, if you are planning on coming to just hike, plan 2 hours if you are casually enjoying the scenery. Parking: there is a parking lot. But it fills up fast towards the afternoon. We got here on a Saturday morning (10:30am) and there were several cars in the parking lot. There is additional parking on the street. Restrooms: There is one portapotty that is well maintained with sanitizer. Difficulty: Excellent for those that want an easier hike, you can find it here. We have hiked Mt. Rainier, Iceland, Hawaii, California and other trails in Minnesota. The paths are easy and well maintained. The more difficult paths are difficult but not super hard. The easy paths are definitely made for those that want to enjoy Barn Bluff, which is great. Bugs: bring bug spray if you hate mosquitoes. There weren't too many but there are just enough to bother those that have a huge distaste for mosquitoes. Would highly recommend coming here for the amazing views and a great hike.

Beautoful overlooking Red Wing. Prepare for alot of walkong and wear comfortable shoes. Water bottle and snacks. Lots of steps but worth it. Different wildflowers. Animal we observed was a snake on the path but harmless. Lots of neat voewd from the top to explore.
Ryan W — Google review
We enjoyed the hike, it was doable even with our kids, the youngest being six. We walked the whole loop, both south and north trails, in an hour. The trails are marked, roped, and fun. I think the only thing that could be better about the park would be a vending machine for water or snacks but then the closest Kwiktrip is three minute drive away so it’s not a big deal.
Ilona Y — Google review
One of the best and challenging sport climbing area near the twin city. A lot of super hard routes like 5.12 and 5.13. There are easy routes like 5.7 for beginners. Its north facing wall has good shades in summer time, and its south facing wall keeps you warm in cold days.
Yuncong M — Google review
Great hike for a bit of your day - you can choose your own adventure if you want a quick walk or adventure more for a longer. We opted to see both lookout spots on east and west side and was worth it! Saw a bunch of baby eagles. Will be gorgeous in a few weeks once the greenery is fully popping

Memorial Park in Red Wing, Minnesota is a popular destination offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area, including the Mississippi River and the bluffs of both Minnesota and Wisconsin. The park features various amenities such as picnic shelters, charcoal grills, and picnic tables, making it an ideal spot for outdoor gatherings. Additionally, visitors can explore the multi-use trails for activities like hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing during different seasons.
During a winter visit to Memorial Park, we discovered that the main gates were closed for the season. This led us to start our hike from the bottom, entering through a trail adjacent to residential streets. It felt like we were embarking on a unique, off-the-beaten-path adventure! The trails, thrillingly close to the cliffs, offered a mix of excitement and challenge. Not having proper hiking shoes made keeping pace with the swift locals a bit tricky, but it was all part of the fun and authentic park experience. The highlight, without a doubt, was the view from the top of the park. The panoramic scenery was absolutely breathtaking, making every step of the hike worthwhile. It was a peaceful, beautiful reminder of nature's wonders. Memorial Park is a fantastic destination, especially for those who enjoy a bit of adventure. A friendly tip: wear comfortable hiking shoes to fully enjoy the trails and the splendid views!

This park has lots to offer. My GPS took me to the street across from the stairs up to the park, instead of to the parking lot lol. Which was fine. The views are really nice. If you don't want to hike Barn Bluff you can come here for similar views. The quarry rock is neat too. Reminds me of back home in Ohio. If you live here you can have some pretty killer picnics and parties. They have fire pits and picnic tables with awesome views. A few small trails. Disc golf course too. I ended up driving to the parking lot on the top and the road is pretty narrow and curvy, so pay attention.

Overall a beautiful park with great views and a variety of scenery and outlooks. I would have given it a 5 star but the trail markings were sparse in some areas and really inconsistent. We walked up Cow Path Trail and had to spend 15 minutes figuring out how to get to the main trail area.

Golf course
Mississippi National Golf Links is a popular destination for golf enthusiasts, featuring two championship 18-hole courses: the Highlands and the Lowlands. The Lowlands course has hosted prestigious events like The Minnesota PGA Championship and The Senior Open, offering a challenging experience for players. This public golf course, which opened in 1986 and expanded to 36 holes by 1991, provides a picturesque setting with rolling fairways and natural landscapes.
Oh my goodness, played the Highs, and WOW!!!! How much FUN!!!!!!!! By far the BEST course I've played in Minnesota!!! No turn, but they warn you which was great so we were prepared. Several really long challenging holes, and a few equally challenging short ones. Be prepared to lose a few (or many) balls as most of the fairways are surrounded by thick trees. Overall, just a great time and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend!!!!
Clarissa W — Google review
Absolutely fantastic golf course. A must place in the state of Minnesota, just outside the city limits of Red Wing. Our group played the highlands course, and I am glad we did! The views on the highlands course can't be beat. Fairways and greens are overlooking the bluffs and rolling hills surrounding Red Wing and are truly breathtaking. The greens are pure, tee boxes are level and we'll maintained, and the fairways are in great shape. 10/10 would recommend to make the drive down from the Twin Cities to play this true gem.
Luke L — Google review
It is simply spectacular, with unbelievable sights and epic elevation changes. Every hole is unique and challenges you to use your whole bag. There are lots of high-risk, high-reward holes as well. Easily one of my favorite courses of all-time with a very friendly staff as well. *you must take a cart for the Highland course, too long of a walk and has severe hills.
Sam C — Google review
Fun course! Got my second birdie! Loved the steep drop holes. Club house is on the older/outdated side but it gives it character. Beautiful views.
Melinda M — Google review
Absolutely stunning views from this 36 hole course. The clubhouse looks like a large old timey sourhern mansion with towering pillars. Separated into the Lowlands and the Highlands, placed perfectly above the Mississippi River valley. For only $65 riding on the weekend, peak of season you could play one of Minnesotas most scenic courses. They've opened it up and cut down quite a few trees in the last years and the course plays great. Have always had an amazing time here. This course a true gem in Minnesota, must play. Highlands is my favorite for sure, can't beat the elevation changes and the views.
Coleman E — Google review
Very magnificent customer service at this course! I was grabbing a hot dog and beverage before hitting the links and Beau (the bartender) was incredibly helpful. The hotdog station is usually self-service but he was kind enough to go above and beyond, and assemble everything for me! So many friendly staff members- I have never had a bad experience here! Plus, the course is beautiful!
Maggie H — Google review
Course was in really good condition. We played the Highlands course and it did not disappoint. The fairways were in good shape. Except a lot of off chamber shots if you miss fairways though. Big greens make for easier approaches. Spent a lot of time repair ball marks (not just my own), which makes for a less than desirable putting service. Clubhouse staff was very friendly, and they were clearing and sterilizing golf carts after every group. Definitely recommend playing this course, not sure if it's required or not, but if you play the Highlands course definitely get a cart. There are a few holes that are a 2-3 minute drive from each other. Lastly, course could use a few more markers as the course criss crosses a little bit. There were 3 or 4 times where my partner and I were wondering which way to go. Keep it on the fairways.
David L — Google review
Beautiful course. Unreal views and the course is wonderfully maintained. It is one of my "must play once a year" courses. Well worth the hour drive from the metro.

Oh my gosh!!! Talk about delicious grub! You HAVE to try the PB&J tossed fried cheese curds! They also have really phenomenal, flavorful, juicy, and crispy wings. Better than any place I've had wings. They are crispy, and tossed in the sauce of your choosing, and they are still juicy!!! Also the beers are great and cold! The price is also great. Gift shop
Uffda Shop offers an authentic Scandinavian shopping experience, with products sourced from 70 to 80 Scandinavian merchants. Visitors can find a variety of items such as candy, snacks, home goods, holiday items, jewelry and more. The shop features unique products like Ole and Lena Fortune Cookies and Pop-Art Viking Greeting Cards. While some items are inexpensive and fun, others may be more pricey.
Found many Christmas gifts. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly, wrapped some gifts for me, it was a pleasure to be there. It was a 1 1/2 hour drive one way and definitely worth the trip.

Visited during the Big Turn music fest. Good service. I though this to be a tourist shop, but was partially wrong. Nordic design and sweets available (at a high price, mostly due to shipping costs). Jos reissussa tulee Fazeria kova ikävä, täältä löytyy😄

This is a very nice gift store in Red Wing featuring Scandinavian gifts and home goods. Everything I saw there appears to be very good quality with good design. It is displayed very nicely and the employees who work there were very helpful and cordial.

Fun shop! My wife and mother always like to make a stop here whenever we happen to find ourselves in Redwing. It is very beautiful inside the store and the workers are always super friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high but I would expect that in a tourist town at the height of the season. Unique store with a lot of unique products. Check it out!

Wonderful Scandinavian store right downtown with a wide variety of glassware, gifts, and jewelry. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
Mark S — Google review
Really unique collection of Scandinavian & Swedish based goods. Wide variety appeals to many different shoppers with different interests and spending ability. I enjoy ‘window shopping’ and seeing some of the exciting art and figurines, most of all. :-) the Tomten collection is awesome and expansive!

Cute Scandinavian themed gifts and friendly staff. Some itwms are inexpensive and fun, others are more pricey - whatever suits your needs. There's candy & snacks, home items, holiday items, jewelry, and more. Two things I really loved - Ole and Lena Fortune Cookies for $6 and Pop-Art Viking Greeting Cards for $15. There's some breakable items at lower reaches, so maybe not a place to let the youngest kids run wild.

Lounge
Cocktail bar
Located in the lower level of the St. James Hotel in Red Wing, Minnesota, The Port Cocktail Lounge is a charming and popular neighborhood restaurant with a delightful ambiance for happy hour, after-dinner drinks, or small gatherings. It offers a selection of fine cocktails and a cozy atmosphere to enjoy them in. The lounge exudes rustic historic vibes with a modern touch and is known for its professional bartenders who mix excellent classic cocktails.
One of the best classic cocktail lounges I have ever been to. Bartender is a real pro, and she knows how to mix a great cocktail! Beautiful rustic, historic vibes with a modern flair. Atmosphere, drinks service are 10/10. Dress is smart casual/cocktail, respect the history and show up looking sharp! You'll be glad you did. :)

We were fortunate to join for the soft opening of their new menu and MY GOODNESS was it wonderful! First we order the chicken wings…. I am not a chicken wing fan but I could not get enough (we ordered a second plate togo) Next we ordered the Scallops with Corn and Bacon, as well as the Mushroom Bucatini. I could not have dreamt of better flavors 🤤. My hubs now has a favorite spot in town! I’m so thankful Red Wing has this delicious addition! I’m so full but am already planning our next visit! Oh, they have my fav wine…. Four Virtues Cabernet. Life can’t get better! Yum all around. No photos, sorry. Busy eating and enjoying life :)
Lisa A — Google review
We had a mixed experience at The Port in Red Wing. On the positive side, the service was excellent—our waitress was attentive, kind, and professional. However, there were some noticeable gaps in menu knowledge. For example, when we asked about the ahi tuna dish, we were told it was caught local, which raised some eyebrows given the location. The drinks were a definite low point. Everything we ordered tasted watered down and underwhelming. The Old Fashioned as more fufu like and didn’t match the spirit of the drink, and the Espresso Martini lacked any real espresso flavor—it just tasted like lightly flavored water. That said, the food was fantastic. I had the tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The scallops were equally impressive—seared beautifully and seasoned well. In short: excellent food and service, but the cocktail menu seriously needs work. With better drinks and more accurate menu knowledge, this place could be a real standout.

Great spot in Red Wing. I think the service we received was as good as it can be given there was one person serving, just understaffed. The drinks are fun with a nice variety. The charcuterie board was tasty. The ambiance had the feel of a speak easy. Will be back to try again! Cheers!

Historical basement lounge. Reminiscent of a speak easy. Don’t miss enjoying a cocktail or two at this great spot.

This place was the best part of our two day trip to red wing… The bartender was the most attentive, friendly person that we’ve ever met… She made the best suggestions for drinks that we were unfamiliar with and each one was catered to our tastes…Lori you are a class act!

Gem of a restaurant in downtown Redwing. Started with a cheese platter. We chose the blue cheese. We love blue cheese, but the star was the chutney that accompanied it. We are not sophisticated, so we rolled up the cheese in the provided lettuce and dang, it was good. We chose to split the rib eye (medium rare) and the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. The rib eye was juicy and tender with all the delicious fat it should have. The salmon was on a bed of vegetables mixed with bacon and an avocado spread. Delicious is all I have to say. The knowledgeable waitress steered me in the right direction with the wine pairings. Everything was perfect. Price wise, this was very reasonable. Especially compared to our usual downtown mpls excursions.

Boat rental service
Red Wing Marina & Boat Rental is a popular spot along the Mississippi River, known for its friendly and inviting atmosphere. The marina offers various amenities such as a deck, picnic area, and campfire ring. It is also famous for renting out pontoons, runabouts, and fishing boats. Additionally, it houses the historic Boat House Village just steps away from Red Wing's downtown area. The staff at Red Wing Marina are highly praised for their exceptional service and warm hospitality.
Fantastic little marina. Wide docks with lots of patio seating. Very friendly Cindy to greet you. We came in late and she put us in the gas dock. Walking distance to downtown bars and restaurants in historic Redwing.
Terry P — Google review
Hanging out at Red Wing Marina is the absolute best! Cindy and her team make sure their guests have everything they need from fuel, ice, hot pizzas, popcorn, ice cream and even an occasional meal shared with marina guests. Cindy is always ready for her guests to have a fun time at the marina. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone has what they need. Truly the friendliest marina on the river. Never been disappointed.
Tammy C — Google review
Great place to rent a boat if you're in the area. My girlfriend and I rented the 23' Sea Ray for the day and had a blast. The daily rate was reasonable (especially since we would have probably just wasted that money at the casino we were staying at), Cindy was very nice, gave us some recommendations on where to go, some river etiquette, boat operation instructions, and we were on our way. We ended up going through almost 40 gallons of gas during the 8 hours as the Sea Ray definitely has some power behind it and there's a lot of water available to explore. We cruised around for a few hours before finding a nice quiet spot on Lake Pepin to anchor, sun bathe, listen to some music, and relax. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely rent again if we return to the area.

If you’re out and about on the Mississippi River Red Wing marina is a must! Cindy is hands down the BEST. Helpful. Friendly. Staff is top notch. Shop is great. Everything you need and we welcomed all her tips and suggestions. Thanks for having us. Long live Cindy!

My dad loved renting from Cindy. He loved the trash cans on the boat. There was also a toilet on the boat I used and it wasn't half bad.

Friendly staff. Non oxygenated gas and pump-outs. Heggie's pizza available to order. Ice cream, ice and cold beverages plentiful! Handicapped accessible restroom and parking. Walking distance to bars, liquor stores, restaurants and downtown Red Wing.

Without a doubt, the most friendly marina. Cindy, the owner does all the little things to make your stay or visit a first class experience. Do yourself a favor and book a visit or stop in and fill up your boat.

The Goodhue County Historical Society, located in Red Wing, Minnesota, is the oldest county historical society in the state. It serves as a steward for the history of Goodhue County through its collection and preservation of cultural and natural history. The museum offers exhibits on local and regional geology, industry, Native Americans, and more. Its permanent collection includes two-dimensional and three-dimensional items representing every decade of the county's history.
I love this place! Very good county history collections. My one hour trip was worth it. The lady on the front reception was very pleasant. This is great for children to see different heritage that emigrated in Goodhue County. It was interesting to learn about the number of school districts way back then. My experience here was phenomenal.

Love seeing old, re-used architecture! Great Museum that covers a LOT of ground, from the heritage of early settlers, native people, crafts & artisans, Red Wing Pottery, local industries, Schools, and even some natural history and paleontology! I lived learned about Hot Puffed Rice (The Only Food Fired From a Gun!)Gift shop also has some neat pieces, including postcards of reprinted old photographs. (Which I look for everywhere!)

Allow at least a couple hours to visit. There are permanent displays and rotating displays. So coming back for another visit will have different content. Some of the content is also covered at other sites in Red Wing. Like ceramics and boots. As many have noted the view of Red Wing is wonderful. I wish I had brought a sandwich to eat lunch while looking at the city. I will have to come back to this location and others in town.

Wineries & Vineyards
Falconer Vineyards and Winery, located in the picturesque bluff valleys near Red Wing, Minnesota, has been welcoming visitors since 2003. The winery boasts a stunning view of its 6.5-acre vineyard and focuses on using cold-hardy grapes to produce their wines. This family-owned establishment offers wine tastings in a beautiful tasting room and features a casual vineyard bistro with an outdoor deck for guests to enjoy.
Had a great time here sampling wines. Was a big fan of the cider and some of the whites. Extremely helpful staff and I bet the place is gorgeous in the summer when it isnt covered in snow. Cannot wait to check out their outdoor patio sometime in the summer as well.
Ryan L — Google review
We stopped in mid-April for drinks. The location is great, and hidden amongst houses (Guessing those were built way after the winery). The outdoor seating and patio are very good, and they also have good indoor seating for bad weather. Starting in May they also do wood fired pizzas in their outdoor brick pizza oven on Fridays and Saturdays. I wish we were able to try that out, but they do offer some small appetizers the rest of the year too. My wife and I both did a wine flight and mimosa. We tried most of the whites, and a few reds, all were good. We both also enjoyed the mimosas a lot.
Pete B — Google review
Not very inviting coming in driving, the walk through the back room to the patio is very odd. Wines were some of the least favorite of the five vineyards we visited that day. The view of the patio is amazing. The cardboard cup holders are a nice touch.
Gregory D — Google review
The vineyard is not hard to find, located just south of Highway 61. There is a good bit of parking, but not all of it would be accessible to those with walking disabilities, as there are some gravel-covered slopes. The shop and bar is a beautiful space lined with bottles and décor. We ordered two flights, one red and one white, then walked through the building to the patio. It is a large space, mostly covered, that opens to a deck overlooking the vineyard. It began to rain as we sat there, so we didn't get to explore the grounds. The view was lovely as we sampled the wines and discussed them.
Beth C — Google review
There are loads of reasons to love this place. I am going to talk about 4 of them: 1) the wine; 2) the wood-fired pizza; 3) the service; and 4) the amazing Martin Zellar. 1. The wine was excellent. We tried Marquette (a red) and Snowy White (a white). The Marquette was a bit sweeter than I was expecting but still delicious. The Snowy White was quite refreshing and brilliant, especially given it was a warm day. The hints of pineapple in it were amazing! 2. There are a wide variety of unique wood-fire pizza options to choose from. I went for the Thai Chicken and it was fabulous. Not disappointed! On a side note, I am not certain what makes their crust different here but it was so delicious that I ate it. Usually I don't--that's just the way I've been my whole life. 3. Our server, Brittany, was so attentive, informative, and efficient. She could not have done a better job--and it was really busy. She's amazing and I hope she's thoroughly appreciated! 4. We came to Falconer Vineyards for Martin Zellar, in specific. We've been following him and his groups for a long time...a really long time! Seeing the acoustic show here while enjoying everything else was phenomenal. So, if you love music and have the chance to indulge here--indulge! Thank you for the wonderful experience, Falconer Vineyards!
JILL M — Google review
Beautiful location on hillside. Challenging for large vehicles and trailers over 16ft. We got our 32ft trailer backed towards barn above winery only because of 4x4 low and not many cars. They have the best full body flavor from UofM grapes. They decided to skip 90% of the ciders due to covid. Food menu too - just flights and cups/bottles. Pleasant staff
Dan B — Google review
We did a tasting but also had pizza. They have a great assortment of wine. We found many we enjoyed. The pizza is wood fired and is very tasty. Would strongly suggest stopping here.
Diana E — Google review
The wine tastings are pretty expensive and you don’t get to pick which wines you taste. That was pretty disappointing, especially since I ended up finding my favorite wine when I was eating on the patio. I didn’t like any we tasted very much. The atmosphere is gorgeous, but parking is pretty awful. Especially to get to the extra parking. Pizza could have been cooked longer, but the Grapes of Wrath pizza toppings were a perfect combination!

The Anderson Center Sculpture Garden at Tower View is located on the historic estate of Dr. Alexander Pierce Anderson, known for developing Quaker Puffed Wheat and Quaker Puffed Rice. The open-air gallery, established in 1996, spans 15 acres and features a vast collection of sculptures by national and international artists. While exploring the garden, visitors can also enjoy the natural beauty of Red Wing's vistas.
We were on the Cannon Valley Bike Trail when we saw a sign for the sculpture garden. Hiked up the steps (there were more than a few) and were presented with a lovely collection of contemporary sculptures. Such a nice surprise.

Google takes you to the wrong entrance. Turn in one street further. Not at the Kwik Trip, one street, the other side. Speaking of... take note of the Kwik Trip. We didn't see any public restroom signs at the sculpture park. The sculptures are wonderful. Ojala just screams emotion. The park is well kept. We did wish there was either a self guided audio tour or QR codes at the art installations to tell us more about the pieces. They are labeled with the artist's name, the name of the piece, and the year. I'm not sure if it is the year created or installed. If you're into energy, the park itself is muted. Like the energy is not dormant, but more like it just doesn't care. We had our elderly dog with us, so we didn't get to explore the side trails, but we'll be back to get to them. Yep... Well socialized dogs are welcome if they are on leash. It's on their website. It's free to visit and there is ample parking. We had the place all to ourselves. But still, there is a big parking lot.
Keith V — Google review
This place is under construction. The parking area is not paved yet. There are weeds across the field and it is impossible to walk around this place. It needs to shut down till the construction is complete. The sculptures are very good however lack of upkeep dent the efforts done by artists. It appears that it ran out funds for development of this wonderful art place. Next time, hopefully it is all shiny and celebratory.
Aalok G — Google review
Loved this spot! Free to enter and so many fun sculptures to walk around and take photos of. Be sure to head over to the water tower too; it's beautiful and there are more sculptures around there! Definitely worth a stop, great for kids and dogs too!

Even in the snow, a great stop to check out some very cool art. We'll definitely go back when the weather is warmer, too!

Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy nature and art. The place seemed a little run down in places but for the most part an excellent little road side stop! Bring bug spray. I did not and left with tons of mosquitoe bites!

Great place to visit. The sculptures are cool. WARNING! Ground squirrels have made holes that are hidden and could cause a broken ankle or fall so watch your step! I didn't deduct stars because that comes with the territory of being in nature.

Brunch restaurant
Bev's Cafe is a long-standing diner in Red Wing, Minnesota, known for its burgers, shakes, and all-day breakfast served in a bright and casual setting. It's a popular spot for both locals and travelers. While it may not be very large and can get busy during peak times, the welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff make it worth the visit. The restaurant is especially recommended for its hearty home-style food and cozy ambiance.
Cute place! My dad and I were visiting Red Wing for a conference, and we stopped here for lunch before we left. Can't resist a place with all-day breakfast. Our server was kind and attentive. I liked the variety of sides you could get. The food was nothing special, but it was good. The kind service and atmosphere is the real seller.

We were looking for a quaint, hometown restaurant. We found it! Service was great, and the atmosphere was amazing. It's not a huge restaurant, but that is kinda what made the experience great. We had a short wait for a booth, but the gals doing the serving we awesome! The food was good enough, but not excellent. Portions were very generous, and the price was perfect. Would definitely go again if we were in the area.

Cute Cafe. We were happy to stumble upon it for an early breakfast. BUT...Not so friendly to tourists..aka “you’re not from around here, are you?” The waitress was very attentive…to the locals, making sure their coffee cups were filled. The locals made it a point to speak LOUDLY about their political candidate during their morning coffee clutch. We're a quiet group & try to be a friendly as possible. We don't ask for much, we don't ask for special orders, but we do expect to have food served with pleasure, especially in cute little cafes. It was evident they pegged us as not one of them, “from the cities”, so we got served burned “crispy” bacon & no refill coffee for us. Never going back. Don't recommend anyone to come to a place that judges outsiders and serves hostility in the food.
Darla H — Google review
I stopped by three days in a row while visiting in town. Very impressed with the service, coffee cup stayed full, friendly atmosphere and skilled long-time staff. I enjoyed corned beef hash, skillet, CF steak, apple fritter and carmel roll. All of which was recommended and so worth it! My favorite was the homemade hashbrowns, you can tell its the real deal. Definitely a Red Wing gem! Go say hi to Phee Phee, she loves working at this diner.
Angela S — Google review
This is an absolute treasure, a lovely and welcoming cafe/diner type place that serves breakfast all day but also other food. We had super tasty burgers (with meat and with black bean burger) and chicken sandwich 😋 The home made pecan pie and raspberry custard cake were excellent, not too sweet, just perfect. The service was warm and welcoming, it seemed popular with the locals too.
Riikka — Google review
It is such an adorable restaurant in the small town. But please note that this is not a really big restaurant. It might not be able to always accommodate the group of people at the same table. We kind of need to separate into two tables. It is fine though. The dishes were family restaurant style, and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere there. Of course, enjoying the food too. The service was awesome too! Overall, I recommend this restaurant when visiting red wing.

Good food. Excellent service. Warm inviting. Everyone here is happy. Enjoyed breakfast. You know you’re in a small town when The Price Is Right is playing in the background. Fun place to visit as a tourist but it looked like the locals enjoyed being here too. Thank you for a nice experience.

As you grab your knife to cut into your delicious blizzard cake. You stop and ask yourself if you should stab SpongeBob right in his eye. And than and than the knife pushes through the cake. And you enjoy the cake, five stars.

They were generous with the ice cream for the sizes. Nevertheless, I do think that being out of the flavor of the month on the first day of memorial day weekend is a bit of a disappointment. Seems to me that the management is lacking a little bit at this location. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly enough and the ice cream is as expected!
Jason C — Google review
Now that we don't have a Dairy Queen at all (over 2 yrs) don't some of these complaints seem pretty trivial? I always had a good experience and I miss them very much! RIP RWDQ!
Lynne K — Google review
Like the majority of reviews here, my experience was not great. I got the blizzard I ordered fairly quickly but no hello, thanks or goodbye. He shoved my change in my hand and slammed shut the window. I ordered a mini snickers blizzard, which was a little larger than 3oz Dixie cup for $3.59. The candy was hard to chew, like it was dried out/old. No need for DQ corporate to leave a “canned” apology to me, just take some action to get the owner/manager to improve their systems and customer service before they have no more customers to serve! There are too many options in town that offer a much better customer experience rather than coming here and “bothering” their staff.
Karen P — Google review
Tonight was our last night coming here. This is completely mis-managed. The customer service is as bad as it gets. It's 50/50 if they have something you want on the menu. Don't try to order a slush - that machine has been out of order all summer. Too bad we love the ice cream here but its about time to find a new place. This one location is really diminishing a quality brand.
Todd H — Google review
Even though I was first in line the wait for some one to acknowledge that I was even there took several minutes. The person waiting on me was very nice and attentive while taking my order to make sure it was correct. However when delivering my food instead of being on a tray even though my dining preference was to dine in it was put into a brown paper bag, and dropped on the counter and abandoned. Also failed to deliver everything I ordered. While waiting for my missed items I had to wait for others to get their complete order before I could get mine. While I was eating other patrons had to return to the counter to get their ordered items. One was missing their toast. Another 2 blizzards (one medium one small) another patron didn't get their drink cup. The floor was unkempt and the tables needed bussing. The ketchup on the table needs to be filled.
Delwin C — Google review
As a staff member here for 10 months, I've seen this place through the good and bads. The food here is moderate, wouldn't recommend a grilled chicken, but the crispy chicken is great! The ice cream is good, but we don't flip our ice cream because sometimes our machine causes the ice cream to be more melty, and we can't always make them perfectly, so sorry for anything there. We've had some mishaps with customers because most of us are teens looking for a job to start on, it's not always easy dealing with some customers too, but in general most people are polite and it's enjoyable to interact, most of the time when a customer is upset it's due to an error or miscommunication on our part. Recently we've had 4 managers quit and hired on a lot of new people , so I hope if you've had any bad experiences that it'll get better and you can come enjoy the little food joint we're trying hard to keep running. Thank you all for the experience I've had so far, and I hope the best for everyone

Took them 3 times to get my hamburger right. They kept giving me a cheeseburger. But they eventually got it right and it was really delicious. All though my meal should have been free after all the trouble they caused. But i was glad just to get my order correct. Plus the female making my order looked either very sleepy or she was stoned.

Ordered online. Super easy and the pickup process was fast. Greeted when I walked in even though it was rather busy. Pizza was great!

Love Papa Murphy’s! The pizzas are always fresh, easy to bake, and taste amazing right out of the oven. Staff is friendly and orders are ready fast. Great value too—my go-to for pizza night!

Easy ordering online. Ready when I got there and very tasty! I was greeted with a nice smile from the employee

I ordered online and it didn’t ask me for toppings, and no option to pay cash at the store. My pizza had no pepperoni on it. So I called the store and they offered me solutions and apologized. I was close so I went back and they added pepperoni. Great customer service! The team always greets you when you walk in. Thank you!

I have made pizzas at 5 different restaurants since 1982. Over 40 years of experience. I was not prepared for this...at all. After waiting for one of the staff to get ready at the till. ABOUT 3 MINUTES. Once the server was ready...he looked up...but did not say if he was ready. When I first tried to order...he abruptly interrupted me...saying not yet. Not looking up to make eye contact...no apologetic tones. I should have left right then. MY MISTAKE. I ordered a Paps perfect...half pepperoni...half hawaiian...and cheesy bread I got a papa's favorite...essentially...a supreme...the rudeness...UNBELIEVABLE...get a manager that can correct the unpreparedness and poor attitude....please. Red Wing deserves better. And pointing me at a cooler for the cheesy bread I knew wasn't in there. Really? I have managed 3 pizza restaurants in my lifetime. What is going on here?

We had a horrible experience. No getting or eye contact when entering. Customer service was shameful. No help, order wasn't fully completed, had to wait for salads to be prepared. The worker in front mumbled, Just take you I order." He obviously had an attitude and didn't want to be there or do anything at all. So sad how down hill this place has become. We asked for herb and cheese blend, had one on the shelf. Asked for another one. Said he didn't know where to find any, and if they had any left at all. A Ceasar salad with no croutons. Ordered on app. Had to wait another 15 min for salad completion. Then we wanted to pay for the one herb cheese blend the worker said we could just have it. We're like ok... we'll pay for it. He mumbled again, just take it." We left there feeling negative vibes. And we'll not return again for quite sometime. People need to learn how to treat customers, or don't work in customer service please!!!!!

Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
China Royal is a Chinese restaurant located in Red Wing, Minnesota. It offers a variety of standard Chinese dishes for take-out. The restaurant is known for its personalized service and attention to feedback, providing halal options with a focus on seafood. Customers appreciate the fresh vegetables and generous servings served in disposable ware. Since moving to Red Wing in 2014, it has become a favorite among locals.
I love this restaurant, I don’t think I’ve ever had bad food from here. It is always piping hot when you get it, so unlike most restaurants the food isn’t cold and gross by the time you get home. I would say they are very reasonably priced, a combination plate was $11.50 and honestly is enough food to easily make two meals. Same with the meat containers, each was $13.50 and came with a small box of rice. Each of those could be divided into three or maybe four portions depending on how much you like to eat, but you would probably need an extra box of rice to portion it out like that. Overall we spend the same as we would at any other restaurant and are getting way more food.

Got the buffet - was great! Plenty of options to choose from. Great service - Very helpful. Vegetarian friendly. Will be coming back.

Ahh the buffet is amazing, we were looking for a place to eat and found out China royal had a buffet. It was extremely good. They have a lot of options to choose from.

I don'tnormally say bad things about businesses but that food was pretty awful. Most food was almost warm (I'm pretty sure it wouldn't pass a temperature test) and full of breading and grease. I wish I'd taken photos but had to get out of there as soon as possible. $18.78 for lunch is scandalous.

To be a small town small location, this place has phenomenal Chinese food. I visited 3x in one week simply because it was much better than everywhere else. The buffet isn’t huge, but has like 40 items. Will absolutely visit again.

It’s nice to have the buffet back and food is just as good as it always has been. I just can’t get over the crazy prices for lunch and dinner. Buffets in the area with more option on Rochester are cheaper even. But that’s the only detractor food, service, and the environment are still amazing.

It is one the very few #Chinesefood outlets in #RedWing #Minnesota The restaurant seems to be a family restaurant; meaning more personalized service and attention to feedback. If you are looking for #halal options, there are quite many in #seafood. Their Hot & Sour Soup has not meat broth. Vegetables were fresh and service was excellent. Mostly, the food is served in disposable-ware. Since their servings are very generous, I would suggest using thicker paper-plates to avoid flexing. #travel #food #ChineseCuisine

I would not eat here again. Very bland food. Walked in and there were boxes stacked up like storage and their old buffet was full with boxes, cleaning supplies etc. We dined in and were served with plastic utensils and paper plates. Server stated they are unable to get help. I tried my best to like it but just didn't. Sorry.
