I spoke with a manager the store manager is on vacation this week. I just want him to know his staff at his store is amazing. Very friendly always available for help. Allows semi parking. Wide variety of products and very clean. Absolutely the best walmart in the lower 48
Dirty T — Google review
I don't really have any complaints other than their parking lot and entryways, which are just like a bombed out field from an air raid during war. They need to completely dig out and repave the entire thing. Other than that, this is a nice clean store.
Kansas M — Google review
Wow, this store is a blast from the past! NOT in a good way! It looks exactly the same as when it was built! Why has this store never been remodeled? The floors look lite utter garbage! Literally saw one employee the whole time other than the staff stocking shelves. Come to Ark City and see what a good store should look like!
Christopher K — Google review
For the most part, Iam overall satisfied with Wal-mart and my experiences there. However, I do forsee trouble on horizon. I want to know the price of my purchases BEFORE I purchase them. If that does not go back to the way it was, Wal-Mart my loose a loyal customer. Thank you.
Heather C — Google review
Can't get help from employees because half the time you can't find one near the department you need help in. When you finally do, you have to interrupt someone trying to do their job. Then that employee calls for assistance and no one ever shows up. If y'all are going to keep half the store locked up to prevent theft, then employees should be available to get things out of the cases for you. I get being short staffed sometimes, but when it's every time you need something that is locked up, it gets a little ridiculous. 20 minutes waiting, to just turn around and go a different route to get what we needed .
Adonis — Google review
Either the employees or the delivery service are lacking because ive had several holes in my milk and cleaning products. I tip well i move my vehicles so they can have a better parking spot and i help bring the groceries from their vehicle with permission to the house to help ease their load since im having a favor being done for me. Im poor health with 3 kids and animals i need this service. Please dont ruin it for people like me. My husband works hard to provide for us.

I did a review of having issues with My family mobile and not being able to use it. We had wanted to join My family and get service. Had issues with the associate not being able to refund the service. Got a call from the store manager Jason, and he was able to fix the problem and refund my money. Thanks again!
Martha Y — Google review
If you're not going to fix you're website take it down!!!, plus get people in the automotive department that ACTUALLY NO what there doing, and some of you're employees follow and watch you like there in HEAT IT'S RIDICULOUS AND SICKENING I'LL GO TO Mc Pherson Walmart before I go to this one again, you people that own Walmart get off you're lazy 🤬,and hire actual employees that know what there doing or do better training!!!!!

B&B Hutchinson Mall 8

Movie theater
Event venue
B&B Hutchinson Mall 8 in Hutchinson, Kansas is a family-owned cinema that offers a relaxed and contemporary movie-watching experience. The theater features comfortable seating with ample space, making it an ideal spot for cinephiles to enjoy the latest blockbusters and captivating screenplays. Visitors can indulge in delicious popcorn while watching their favorite films in a cozy environment. The friendly and knowledgeable staff add to the overall pleasant experience, although some guests have suggested additional training for closed caption devices.
I enjoy going to the B&B theater for new releases. They have comfortable seats and I like their screen size and sound quality. Staff is friendly and they provide excellent service. Plus their Half Price Tuesday offer is a great perk.
Mayank S — Google review
The most humble theater that I have visited in my life. You may be like me and assume they don't have reclining seats and you would be wrong. Visited last week with a local friend and the rewards program gave like $5 off. . . . . Saw 'Weapons' — was disappointed
BK — Google review
We just spent $37 to see the matinee movie, and the “sound system” sounded like a $10 transistor radio from Wal-Mart. It reminded me of the speakers we used to hang in our car windows at the drive-in back in the 80’s. The movie itself also froze up three times, but thankfully it was able to restart in a few seconds. This theater is in SERIOUS need of updated equipment, especially if they want to keep charging $12.50 to see a matinee!!!
Rob D — Google review
My two disabled grandsons and their mother love going to B&B Theater and because they are homeschooled we take advantage of the Tuesday specials. I am always happy to drop them off and pick them up. Yesterday, 6/17, there was a downpour when I went to pick them up and as I pulled up to the curb a staff member motioned for me to keep going and not do that. Yes, I know this is a fire lane, but I'm not going to sit there and block a fire truck. I have seen numerous people drop off people and pick them up in front of the theater, especially in bad weather. This was a downpour. I think if you are going to single out who can, and cannot, do that, then you need to have signs posted so nobody can do it. Fair is fair. I also think for extreme downpours like yesterday, you can make an exception so people are not sitting through the movie soaking wet. If someone abandons their car in front of the theater, than please tow it. But to pull up and load and unload passengers, in a downpour, that is not a huge deal. Common sense should always prevail.
2BusySecretary — Google review
We love how the seats are like reclining loveseats, you can pull the arm rest up in the middle so it feels like you have your own section
Niki L — Google review
Nice theater. Love the reclining seats. Some of the seats are noisy when you recline or return to upright position. Decently pricing.
Heather C — Google review
This would be a five star review if they had the entire bar open. The bartender said that we can order beers on tap but he did not want to open up the full bar for mixed drinks. When asked why? He said he did not want to have to clean up afterwards for just a few drinks, meaning he didn’t think there would be enough orders to make it worth cleaning up afterwards himself for. Not sure if this is in their employee standards book or his own but it was not a crowd pleaser especially since it was on Mother’s Day.

The sound was Way Too Loud. Had to ask twice for them to turn it down. My ears are still hurting. Ridiculous.

Department store
Chain department store offering a wide selection of clothing, accessories & homewares.
Honestly, I'm not sure why this place isn't busier. Good selection and good prices, always things on sale and you can always find coupons. Ok, maybe the selection is good for a guys perspective. I'm sure I can find a shirt or pants I'll wear. Women can be more choosy.
Eric S — Google review
They always have a lot of good sales and great clearance racks, plus Kohl's cash! Good store, well kept and friendly service.
Erin H — Google review
I am definitely never going to shop in person again. There are signs on the toddler boy shirts that say regular price $9.99 are on sale for $7.99. I get to the register and the cashier didn't greet us, kept doing her thing and said "Did you need something?" Uh.. yes, to checkout? I notified her that the shirt rang up wrong for $10.99 and even then she said that's the price. I showed her the sign, I took a photo of it. She then went on ranting about how it's not her problem, she has nothing to do with prices. I don't care. It's your job in customer service to uphold the advertising and take care of the customers. I then asked if my 20% coupon came off and she asked me 3 different times if I wanted to sign up for a credit card... No, thank you, for the 3rd time! She was incredibly rude and during all of this, a manager was at the other register raising her voice and getting rude and frustrated with a poor lady who didn't understand much English. I will never come back in the store if that's the way you let your employees speak to paying customers.
Sav N — Google review
This is a fairly large Kohl's store. They have a good selection. It appears they are well staffed and keep things clean. I like that they have drop off and returns at the front instead of the back of the store.
Tyler D — Google review
Kohl's is very clean, organized & has many departments to choose our purchases! All employee's including Sydney who went out of her way including going to the departments with me suggesting ideas to me to make my final decision!
Gwen H — Google review
I needed to purchase a new suit for a funeral. An associate named Debbie went above and beyond to help me. She was very kind and even measured me for shirt size. Even the store maintenance guy, who I neglected to get his name, tried to help me. The checkout process was very smooth and Catrina was very helpful as well. It was an exemplary customer experience. I was very impressed with this must visit location in Hutchison. It is similar to other entertainment establishments, but the staff was nice, the place was clean even at the end of the evening and the games were great. The icing on the cake is the great deals and specials that are right for everyone. The specials can be affordable for most families. Basically, get ready to have a good time.

My kids love this place, and it’s great for me too! The great deals and prices are amazing for me we live in hutch but I think they need better games. Like maybe some coin pusher games just more ticket giving games.

Fun place for a day out. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean. I wish there was a better selection of arcade games, some were out of service when we visited. We visited on a weekday and it was not crowded at all.

Airport Steakhouse is a popular dining spot in Hutchinson, KS, known for its authentic and delicious Chinese and Asian cuisine. The restaurant offers a convenient location and affordable prices, making it a natural choice for both dine-in and takeout options. While some reviews have been mixed, with some patrons expressing dissatisfaction with the quality of steaks and service, others continue to enjoy the diverse menu offerings.
Amazing food everytime we visit! We couldn't decide on an appetizer so we got 4😁
Niki L — Google review
Although the buffet had a smaller selection of food than Golden Corral or Coyote Canyon, the food was decent especially the fried chicken and the fried shrimp. As for the breakfast items on the brunch buffet, there weren't many items since it was simply sausage, bacon, bread, and eggs. However, the dessert selection was decent and those were pretty good. I noticed that the restaurant has many decorations related to airplanes and airports since it's located inside an airport.
Travis T — Google review
The food was pretty good. My husband really liked his steak. The stuffed chicken was well cooked, but the sauce flavor was odd. Clove flavored wine sauce with sun dried tomatoes? I asked for mashed potatoes instead of rice pilaf, but still got rice, which I am not a fan of. The Brussels sprouts were flavored with horseradish ,which I just wish I had known because I wouldn’t have ordered it. My friends loved their steak salad. I say stick with steak! Our waitress wasn’t super friendly and was a little slow.

Updated 7-12-2025 Under new management and 3 years after previous review. I want to give a huge shout out to the staff. This place is amazing looking inside, and the service was impeccable. Food was on point, and I was throughly impressed with every aspect of my meal!! We were checked on multiple times to make sure all our needs were met. This is the service I expect for a price point of this nature. I won't remove the previous post because I want people to see the changes that have been made. Thank you for a wonderful dinner date with the wife!! Airport Steakhouse, we will be back!! You guys ROCK! 3 years ago The food is very good and the service is decent although there are some staff that can seem a tad bit rude. For the price you pay for the food you would expect a little bit more respect from the staff especially when respect is being given! We always tip well above 20% and never make a scene even when things aren't correct!! But to have wait staff bump you with their rear-end as they are passing without as much as an apology is just very unprofessional. I will say the food is very good as usual but with prices like this I would expect over the top service from the staff!
Mack H — Google review
Always, told this Steak House, as we fly by..... wait what?! STEAKHOUSE?! ... I SEE a tiny airport! So, after six years of knowing it existed, someone asked where I wanted to eat! BINGO! All I have to say, years have been good to this spot, ambience style so cool. Food is even better! This is a mirage in the fields of Hutch, that is true, by word of mouth, from locals! A hidden Jem! Witnessed Grandparents, fly in for dinner, to see the grandchild and family. Only to watch from the window, as they 👋 to them lift off! Food hands down is worth the price. Will return to update review, but not in another 6 years of knowing lol. I was so touched, by the Grandparents' story unfolding, forgot to take a picture of the food. But did get some outside tiny airport pics! ATB!
RES S — Google review
I’ve been here multiple times and have had an amazing experience but this time, I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwanted in this restaurant. My family and I decided to go out for supper tonight because I got off of work early and wanted a great experience. We had 2 tables give us nasty looks and had nasty remarks about the kids and then I even watched the manager talk to every other table besides ours and even saw her watching our table to see if we would leave. Our server wasn’t attentive to our table at all, I waited 10-15 minutes for a refill on my drink and even had to ask her for it after waiting so long. It seemed she was more focus on the auto gratuity that was added to our bill rather than our table itself. Food was amazing but service and environment could’ve been a lot better.
Tina B — Google review
Food is always good, bonus is being there when there are military aircraft landing and taking off!
Darren G — Google review
Steaks are definitely a bit pricey but so worth the money! Large size and perfectly done! The Mac & Cheese was not very impressive but everything else was perfect, from service to flavor. The drinks were perfect, too. My boyfriend had the steak, and I had the liver, which came out great as well. It was actually the first time I ever saw liver on a menu at any restaurant I visited in the US, and since it's my favourite dish I had to get it. We came from Wichita to give this place a try, and we had a great time. Would definitely recommend this place.

AJ's at The Alley Hutchinson is a delightful spot that combines great food with a fun atmosphere. While the service can be a bit slow during busy times, the friendly staff and clean environment make up for it. Diners rave about the amazing calzones and cheesy pizzas, while burgers also receive high praise. This family-friendly venue offers bowling at an affordable price, making it perfect for gatherings or birthday parties.
Just stopped by killing some time. Servers were great. Very friendly. I didn't end up eating, but only because I had a prior commitment. Food looked good.

The air conditioning wasn't keeping up. A few of the arcade games weren't working. The games have gone up in price by 50 cents again. The selection of M size lightweight bowling balls is next to nil. The staff at the front desk was friendly. The staff at the food counter weren't rude, but not as friendly. There were several workers at the food counter at one time when I approached, and I was ignored for several seconds while they talked to each other.

Came frome Colorado to be back here but was very disappointed. Seemed to be bothering some of these employees. My grand kids were very disappointed. We left early to go eat elsewhere. Didn't even go bowling here. Very sad how times and things have changed. Oh well. Nothing much we can do about it now. Very sad.

Had a great time , I never new that bowling was 8$ a person all plus shoes and etc..This place is clean and Workers are also friendly and nice..I didnt also know there was a bar there it was awesome to know it made the Birthday Party even better and also have best game.room!..We will return!

Great food! Slow service..there was 1 bartender and 1 server. We waited about 15-20 mins for 1 bottle of beer and one draft beer. Also never was offered silverware or extra napkins. Had to ask if we wanted something..was never really "approached" awkward service. 😔 We did go at 4pm and there were about 5 or 6 tables, but wasn't super busy. Other than that the food is EXCELLENT! The calzone was AMAZING! literally the best calzone I've had! My daughter said the burger was great! Pizza was so cheesy and great! Portions are huge and the prices are all $15 or less. They have a cool $3 special from 2-6 with $3 beers and some $3 appetizers! Pretty cool! Super neat place though! 👌
Torie R — Google review
I waited more than 25 minutes for a water, to then wait another 15 minutes to order our food, my salad I received was BROWN (the staff even agreed of how disgusting it looked), my pizza wasn't made correctly and to top everything off the waitress was still trying to charge for food I didnt receive or unable to eat because of how unedible it was. After all this I decided to give them one more shot.... called to place an online order only to be placed on a long hold then hung up on, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The business may not care about losing customers but it only takes a few to spread awareness about how some of these businesses are treating paying customers.
Jess D — Google review
Bar Manager is always nice and helpful. Kitchen doesn't know the recipes. 3 orders in row over a few months wrong each time. The 300 Pizza is fantastic when made properly, but it seems no one knows what that is. This time I went in to pickup a 300 and other sides. The pizza was not a 300. Bar manager said she would get a 300 in the oven. It came out over 20 minutes later. Again not a 300, I took it and left. By the time I got home the fried sides were cold and nasty. Bar Manager told me to put in a complaint with Door dash to receive a refund. Door dash gave me $9 out of $57 total. I can't return to AJs anytime soon, and recommend not to order a take out because they can not complete one properly.

I can honestly say the ribs were the worst I've ever had. And that's saying something. Burnt with no meat and no seasoning. 2 orders of them and the same result. The food and the menu have changed so much lately that its about time we stop wasting are money on this garbage. Saving money by destroying the quality of food is not good for business

The service was great and kept up on refilling our drinks. We were able to enjoy our time there at our own pace, not having to wait for the check impatiently. The food was good, and I would say slightly better flavor than other Chili's.

Why would you get rid of Skillet Queso??? I don’t see the purpose of you’re just replacing it with a DIFFERENT queso. If it were because the ingredients are no longer worth the cost then it’d be fine, but that’s NOT the case because you just took it off so that you can put a different queso on there. I don’t see a single good reason why you can’t just have both quesos on the menu at the same time.

This place is awesome. The service is great. We go there almost every single day. The food is awesome and the environment is outstanding, but make sure you bring a coat. Every waitress and waiter there is extremely friendly, helpful, kind, and does not forget about you. The food comes out very fast. This place is a must in Hutchinson, Kansas. I recommend this place 110%. The place is very clean and tidy. There is nothing bad to say about this IHOP in Hutchinson, Kansas. I’ve been to other IHOPs that have been bad but this one is 10 out of 10.

Me and my coworker ask for a second to think about our order, and they forgot about us. My coworker ended up getting up and walking over to get there attention. Once we had ordered, the orange juice came with black flylike bit floating in it. Food 1 star: good, but orange juice had flies in it or something. Service 1 star: slow and required us to get their attention. They seem to have adopted a hands off approach to service. Atmosphere 1 star: lazy. The workers were literally laying around in the booths.

I go thru hutch I hop once n while but I got to say Friday the 26th stoped by but when went in had to wait to be seated and as I waited I observed and heard how rude one of the servers was talking to the cook like I understand sometimes things may happen but no one has the right to treat the employees the way that Jenn did I remember her name clearly Jenn(Jennifer! ) was treating very rude the cook when he was only trying to stay very calm focus she still kept being very disrespectful makes me not ever want to go back to see how they let servers treat coworkers the way she did ! Food was great service could be better though if I didn’t had that experience! Need to be more professional ! I never write reviews like this but this was not an experience I wanted to go thru and sometimes that the reason we loose good people because the way people get treated so worst service for this ! Food was great ! Great job to the cook !!

Italian restaurant
Jillian's Italian Grill is an upscale-casual restaurant known for its traditional Italian dishes and monthly wine flights. Customers have praised the high-quality service and food, with one diner particularly impressed by the perfectly made old fashioned at the bar, a delicious Caesar salad, and a ribeye entree. Another visitor enjoyed excellent drinks, phenomenal soup, and very good lasagna with Italian sausage.
Very good experience here. My family came for lunch. A few of us got drinks and they were excellent. Then we got our soups and salads. My soup was phenomenal. It was a red pepper and gouda soup. Fantastic! Then we got our meal. The food was very good. I had lasagna with Italian sausage. It wasn't the best lasagna I've had, but it was still very good. The bread that came with my pasta was good, but not strong in flavor. It was a great dipping bread. My only complaint was that the boat the past came in was really wobbly on the plate. It made it kind of annoying to eat. Also the food came out ridiculously hot. Finally the service was excellent, and the restaurant was really nice and clean. The bathroom was also really clean. A really nice place in Hutch to get a high quality meal.

Was my first time here and overall I was impressed, it was the first time I have seen a wood fire pizza oven. The service was a little slow, but I am the patient type so it didn't bother me any. They also seemed to be training an entire restaurant's worth of new staff members so I'm sure that didn't help matter. The food was great and was worth the wait, very fresh, and the hummus was amazing!
Chris P — Google review
Strongly, would not recommend. When we were sat, received latent service to the table to even be greeted, while in the most visible booth next to hostess stand and kitchen. Once ordered, I was served raw chicken (even in the dark lit dining room, very obviously raw, see photo), waitress rolled her eyes when I showed her the burned on the outside, raw chicken on the inside. We had to ask the waiter to send over the manager, waiter did not offer. An indifferent half hearted apology to awful experience from the owner followed. We had to ask owner to not be charged for the food that was uneaten because it was unsafe, that also was not offered by owner of their own accord. Poor service, poor food and poor recovery. Dine at your own risk.

Went in here for a business dinner and was very shocked at how high quality the service and food were. I started off with an old fashioned at the bar and they made it perfectly. Followed it up with a delicious Caesar salad and ribeye entree with baked potato. All were cooked exactly as requested and came out very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to return. As a matter of fact I don't see myself ever making a trip to hutch without going at least once!

This is THE must-visit place in Hutchinson for fine dining, happy hour, to meet with friends... celebrations! Great ambience, food & drink, and super friendly service... The owner is lovely as well... always checking on the guests. Tonight, as per usual, I had an outstanding experience. The most luxurious, smooth glass of Pinot Noir, and the flatbread hummus was divine... nice, crispy flatbread and the most flavorful hummus I've ever eaten. Tonight I came for happy hour, so didn't have dinner, but the garlic medallions is a favorite when I do. Or ribeye... or filet. Of course, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! LOVE this place!!!!!!

Quite a good Italian restaurant. Their calzone was surprisingly good. It’s a large restaurant though the interior is very dark. The staff were all very friendly and service was quick. The food was very cheap! I’d recommend it if your in Hutchinson.

This is the nicest place in Hutchinson by far. Lighting and atmosphere perfect for romantic evening. Are waiter was wonderful and courteous. We asked if we can move to the table in front of the fire and there was no problem. Started out with the Bruschetta marinated tomato tower with charge and green olive tapanade . And also with there homemade bread with butter garlic fresh out of the oven. Are main course was the Garlic Medallions Grilled certified Angus Beef loin medallions topped with roasted garlic butter with a Red Pepper Gouda soup with delicious Bloody Mary. My wife's entree was Catalonian Scallops which was Diver Scallops, panseared and served on a bed of nutty pepper Romanesco and pesto with side of Marinaro spaghetti paired with a glass of white wine. Most say i was very impressed with the quality of scallops im from Florida were the seafood is the freshest and the best you can get and have traveled all over the country trying new place to eat Jillians scallops are Simply Amazing they are like butter and the naughty pesto sauce is to die for absolutely amazing. And I finished off with the tiramisu. if I could give it more than five stars I would. My wife and I had at and spent over $70 Olive Garden for terrible service and terrible food this is only 95 bucks plus tip there's absolutely no comparison restaurant in Hutchinson and you get what you pay for. Amazing food amazing atmosphere great staff thanks Jillian's for a great anniversary for my wife and I. we'll be coming back.

Great atmosphere, fantastic food, my waitress Erica was attentive and a sweetheart. Definitely will be back. Only negative thing I can say is my crostini was cold and hard to chew when I ordered the bruschetta appetizer. Still tasty, just hard to chew. The beef contadino with roasted carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms and Italian sausage was amazing and fresh.

The Cosmosphere, located on the Hutchinson Community College campus, boasts the largest combined collection of US and Russian spaceflight artifacts outside of Moscow. The museum features a planetarium, dome-shaped theater, re-created rocket lab, and numerous space exhibits that will transport you back to your childhood dreams of becoming an astronaut. Visitors can explore artifacts flown in space and replicas of rockets and space shuttles while learning about the space programs of both countries.
This place was awesome. The kids enjoyed every second of it. We saw 2 different movies in the theater domes. They really loved the science lab. The science lab was very informational and she involved the kids. The museum was amazing. The cafe and theater concessions were expensive.

A very interesting and informative afternoon. It's nice that they have taken every age group into account. I'm old and had a good time, and I also could see my grandkids hanging a blast. Bring a jacket! It's really, really cold in there. I would call first and see how busy they expect it to be that day. If it's going to be pretty slow, then it might be best to buy tickets when you're there. Theater prices for food.

This place has rockets, engines, space suits, and equipment from both the USSR and American space race. You can follow the progress of NASA and the early part of the Soviet space program as they worked on the mission to be the first to get to the Moon. There are also learning programs for kids, interactive labs, movies and documentaries, flight simulators and even a cafe. You could spend a whole day here. Shows are on a schedule, so arrive early if you want to catch them all at their staggered time slots .

Very cool place to go. You can learn lots of space & history. They have several movies that you can watch, which I did not because my grandsons didn't want to see any. As far as buying tickets in advance, that would be your preference. The time that I did have to wait in line, It wasn't terribly long. They also have a cafe on site and they have a very nice gift shop as well. There it's also a kid zone where smaller children can go in and play and make things with an adult.

This place is the most underrated gem in the entire state & it's worth driving from anywhere. The Berlin Wall piece was just jaw dropping, so many iconic pieces of history here.

We had a fairly large group,4 school age children, 3 adults, bought the "everything included" ticket, had a blast! Informative, fun, all rolled into a well kept facility. We especially enjoyed Dr Goddard lab show and the Blue Angels simulator. Great museum kept the kids interested. I recommend!

This is a really cool place where you could spend the entire day! We literally closed the place down and still didn't get to do everything! Well worth the drive off the interstate! The gem for us was the command module Odyssey from Apollo 13! Staff is uber friendly and made for a fun time. It wasn't crowded, but it was Thursday, which made the visit quite enjoyable. The planetarium shows were topped notch! If you're into space, put the Cosmosphere on your must do list!

Nestled in Hutchinson, Bogey's has been a beloved local gem for over 25 years, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and extensive menu. With an impressive selection of 101 milkshake flavors—from classic apple to refreshing watermelon—deciding on just one can be quite the challenge! The fast food offerings are crafted with care, featuring juicy burgers and crispy fries that have garnered many loyal fans.
I love a good burger so I had to check this place out. Plenty of options to include a triple bacon cheeseburger. Got the double bacon cheeseburger, small kurly fries and a large dutch apple pie shake. Seeing the small made me think the large was a good option...but when they say large they are not kidding. It was easily double the size of the small and it stole the show. Great service and this place has amazing atmosphere with a throwback look. If you want an amazing shake (more like a blizzard) you MUST go here!
Aaron F — Google review
I am loving this town. Hutchinson is awesome and this place is another place you have GOT to stop at. 101 different shakes that you can make with a “thick” or “thin,” option. Clean and well kept, with a great 1920’s-1950’s feel, this is great. If you gluten allergies they can do a burger wrapped in lettuce. Employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. 100% recommended. Everyone loved the food, the curly fires were cooked to perfection and the burgers were juicy. What’s NOT to love! Warning! The “small” is the size of a DW large. So you could easily share! The shakes we got: Oreo Oreo Carmel Dr. Pepper Fruity Pebbles
Elijah E — Google review
We only had icecream today. The 101 flavors of shakes and malts is impressive. The food we saw comeing out for other people looked very good for fast food. We will be back.

Lived on Bogey’s for a summer 20 years ago. 20 years later, it might be even better than back then (and it was already great). You can’t beat their shakes. Love Bogey’s!
David S — Google review
Bogey's is a great place to get a shake! We weren't so impressed with their hamburgers, though. The meat didn't have any flavor, and they were luke warm. The sides were got were curly fries, onion rings, and fried mushrooms. The sides were hot and pretty good. The shakes were amazing! We had a banana cream pie and chocolate brownie. They were both terrific! We'd go back for dessert!
Amy B — Google review
Updated: my burger today was back up to the high standards. Unfortunately the bathroom was pretty awful so I’ll leave this as a 4 star review. I’ve stopped here for lunch several times over the past few years, and while many of the good things are still good (shakes, fries, decor, cleanliness, books for kids, etc) the quality of their burgers seems to have gone downhill. Today’s burger was over cooked and dry, and the bun was dry too. Plus, just one pickle slice on it? Here’s hoping that I’ve just been unlucky and they are better next time I’m back. Still worth a stop the next time you’re in Hutch though!

I went through the drive through on Saturday August 29,2025 around 7:30pm , I ordered a double cheeseburger paid $6.29 went poured a glass of ice tea and ate that double cheeseburger, I'll tell everyone that was the worst double cheeseburger I've ever had,it was cooked so fast I really question what kind of hamburger they use!!! I wouldn't even give that to my German Shepherd's. I'll never go back there again 👎

Fairground
Located in Hutchinson, the Kansas State Fairgrounds is a sprawling venue that has been hosting the Kansas State Fair since 1913. This 10-day celebration of Kansas agriculture attracts around 350,000 visitors annually and features fiercely contested competitive departments for livestock, baking, and giant vegetables. In addition to the fair, the fairgrounds host over 600 events throughout the year including livestock exhibitions, weddings, trade shows, and conferences.
This was my first time at the State Fair and it was so much fun! Lots to see and tons of awesome people! SO MANY food options!! I've never seen a sculpture made of butter before! Giant pumpkins and beautiful art! Cows and llamas! The list goes on and on! I'll absolutely be back!

My review isn’t on the Kansas State fair experience, but rather on the horse arenas. The arena itself is fairly nice and it has a lot of space For the riders. There is plenty of stalls in the quality of them is ok; Some of them are kind of beat up, but besides that they’re not bad. There are places to wash your horse. There is also an adjacent arena that we used to practice and it was very nice and could hold cattle.

I stumbled upon Salt City Brewing Company during trivia night and found it to be a vibrant and enjoyable establishment. The atmosphere was lively and entertaining, with large screens displaying popular games. The server provided excellent service, being both friendly and efficient. I particularly enjoyed their Cherry Wood Blond beer, which I indulged in for most of the evening. It is undeniably a great spot in town that I would definitely revisit should I return to the area.
Had a good meal and some nice beverages. Speed of the kitchen and table service was on par with the number of people in the main area. Sandwiches were both good. Will be back .

Popped in for lunch. The establishment was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly. Lunch menu had a good variety to choose from. Jalapeño jam burger was a good size and put together well (not sloppy). It had good flavor, I would have preferred it rare but I I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked. The sweet potato fries were some of the better fries that I have had, crispy and not super oily. Price was good for the quality of the food and service. Overall a great stop for a quick lunch. Would eat here again and recommend to others.

Great atmosphere, food and incredible service. Ask for Sam! She was the best waitress! Super funny and genuinely happy. I wish I took pics of the food but I was hungry and the food was too delicious to stop eating for pics. Highly recommend the BBQ burger and Salmon. The Sweet Potato fries were the BEST sweet potato fries I’ve ever had… I don’t know how you’d make them better…. Finally I recommend the PB&J shots.

Went to Salt City Brewery expecting beer and maybe a decent sandwich. Left with a full belly, sweet potato fry addiction, and a newfound respect for one of the hardest-working waitresses on Earth. The Reuben? Delicious. The sweet potato fries? Basically dessert disguised as a side. Now, onto the chaos: One waitress mysteriously vanished like she got drafted into the Hunger Games mid-shift. The other? She became a one-woman army. Taking orders, running food, refilling drinks, probably brewing the beer in the back—who knows. She was everywhere at once and somehow still friendly. It was packed, it was wild, but she held it down like a champ. Props to her and to the kitchen for cranking out tasty food while the front-of-house turned into a solo act. Would definitely return (and maybe bring her a trophy).

Came for dinner with son and friends for a graduationnget together. Nice place, we felt rushed 1st of all. The waitress kept asking us if we were ready to order. Appetizers werr barley ordered. We felt like they were trying to get us in and out. When we were ready to order, they didn't have anything we wanted on the menu. I wanted the prime rib sandwich, and another person wanted the prime rib, nope sorry we are out @ 6pm om Saturday. Ok, let's get some wings... nope, we are out. Really? What do you have? The food was good. I got a Reuben. Was pretty good. I was kinda small sandwitch for the price but was enjoyable. Enjoyed the fried pickle sticks. My wife got a big pretzel and was pretty good with beer cheese sauce. We got some chips as well they were ok. Everything was pretty salty, I get it keepmem thirsty. The owner, I guess he was, spoke with one of us and appoligized half heartedly in my opinion and tried to blame the waitress. Didn't think that was cool. Again, I think they were expecting a bigger growed later on and felt rushed, I never even was offered a refill on my drink. Inasked for a to go cup and got it, but guess what, there were out of lids 😆. This maybe a local favorite, but to be out.of so.many food items on an early Friday evening is not good. I'm my opinion. A lot of potential here.

I attended a birthday celebration at your restaurant on 05/31. The waitress was helpful & friendly but, the sandwich was a 2 out of 10! The slender, heel of bread was used, No Cheese or Condiment was included even though it was listed on Menu. Will not return for food but, Beer was Fine!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Brought family to celebrate their anniversary. It was 15 minutes before we even received water, we finally ordered a cocktail and 2 beers. 1 draft beer was flat, I mean flat flat. My husband brought it to the waitresses attention and she said it was flat from “sitting at the bar before bringing to the table “….. What? He did not drink it and they still charged for it. The cocktail I ordered was not good. We had intended to order dinner but after it took an hour just to get a burned pretzel for an app we bagged it. Staff was very unorganized, the place was NOT busy, it was dirty and the owners large slobbery dog just roamed through the restaurant stopping at tables…. Nasty. Clearly won’t be back.

Smith's Market, a beloved establishment in downtown Hutchinson since 1933, offers a unique and nostalgic shopping experience. The store is a treasure trove of specialty foods, old-fashioned candies, and nostalgic toys that transport visitors back in time. It's not your typical grocery store; instead, it provides an authentic taste of local offerings with its fresh produce and diverse product selection.
It's a really nice cute marketplace which I definitely recommend checking out if you're in Hutchinson. Every time we visit Hutch we make sure to come by this place. All of their stuff is really good and my personal favourite is their choco chip cookies. Also if you're under 13, try to find an elephant and they'll give you a free banana or an apple. It's just a fun treasure hunt kinda thing.

Nice country market with some local produce and artisanal products. Come check it out and try some candy or old time sodas. They have some weird flavors. I tried the bacon soda, and it was refreshing and dehydrating at the same time. I wouldn't recommend it, but it was fun to try. If nothing else stop in for some complimentary popcorn/coffee/cider in season and say hi.

VISIT THIS SHOP! Talk about going back to the past! This is purely nostalgic! My husband suggested we go in this shop and I was hesitant, thinking it was just another grocery store...but I was so wrong! This store is so fun and we loved jumping back into the past! I even found a baton in their novelty toy section! They had a huge selection of candy. We tried the chocolate raisins and the wasabi mix and they were both good. They had candy from ages ago-like candy cigarettes, dots and bazooka and more! They had fun items too! They had different kinds of sodas, like Ranch soda, Buffalo Wings Soda, Dill Pickle Soda...I mean Yum-right! #Hutchinson #kansas #shoplocal #smalltownkansas #midwest #ksroadtrips

We always loved getting pizza tacos when we traveled through Pratt! Finally, we were able to eat at Pizaacos in Hutchinson! It didn’t disappoint!!! The food was spectacular, the help was outstanding and the atmosphere was so cute and clean!! We grabbed 6 frozen original pizza tacos and some hot sauce to tide us over until our next visit!! First time visiting, I got the veggie taco pizaaco. As a vegetarian it was pretty upsetting to find a piece of sausage in my food after I had eaten most of it. My mom got the classic open-face pizaaco. She is a regular customer and loves them. Would I eat here again? Probably not, it just wasn't for me. The building is really neat- I wish the space could be utilized a little better. Staff was nice.

What a fun lunch experience! The 7" pizza was a thin pizza crust with perfect mix of cheese, toppings, marinara, and spices. Readjust the Coke fountain service mix and we wiill return, for sure!!!

Mine was with the hot sauce and he's the mild. It brought back memories and good times. We both enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. I will be going back this time with the wife.

Like going back in time to the original Charlie's Pizza Taco in Pratt. I worked for Charlie in the 90's. Food is pretty close to how it was back then. Service was amazing.

We used to eat at Charlie's Pizza Taco frequently when it was in Wichita. We were so sad when they closed several years ago. I recently learned that Pizaaco's in Hutch was opened by a relative of Charlie. So we made the trek to get our fix for carry out. The staff and service was great and I was glad to see that the pizza tacos haven't changed and were delicious as ever. I like the addition of the take and bake options as well as breakfast. I'd love to come back and try it sometime. My only complaint is that it's in Hutchinson and not Wichita lol.

Very good - first time try. I ordered the 7" personal size pizza -- the crust was thin and crispy, cracker-like. Flavor was very good. The Garlic Knots are divine as an appetizer! Atmosphere, service, price and wait time was all very good for my limited lunch hour.

If you're looking for a vibrant night out, The Rusty Needle in Hutchinson is the place to be! This lively music venue offers an unforgettable experience with live performances that will have you dancing until dawn. Known for its fantastic wings and mouthwatering food, it’s a local favorite where you can indulge in dishes like their famous steak topped with blue cheese crumbles or the unique deep-fried French toast served with spicy syrup during Sunday brunch.
A great dive bar with better than you would expect food. My favored place in town to get a steak with blue.cheese crumbles and a sweet potato. The Rusty Thai wing sauce is great on wings or for dipping the chicken strip basket, which is only $6. I order from it's of items on the menu. They usually have a nice dark beer on tap. And the Sunday brunch is really good!! The deep fried French toast is unlike anything I've had anywhere else and is amazing. Especially with the spicy syrup. We go every week for bar trivia and sometimes we go just for the food.

The only reason we gave four stars is because we didn’t have time to try the main entree items. Definitely recommend you stop by the Rusty Needle! Their appetizers are delicious. We ordered the Santa Fe egg rolls and the spicy fried green beans. Surprisingly we loved those spicy green beans! Great atmosphere and prices were good.

Had a great time and met some amazing people! That right there, folks! Drinks are priced right, and the staff was fun and did their jobs well. Security at the door so leave pew pews and the pokey's at home. Only complaint, I bought their black on black hat and I had SUCH a good time!, I left it behind.🤪

I don’t know where to start. I had ate there several years ago and would have gave it a 5 but things have changed. The moment I walked in it smelled like the same grease they used years ago, the smell was deep. I immediately knew I wasn’t going to order anything to eat. I don’t know how a person could. Not wanting to turn around and just walk out, as I should have, I went to the bar and ordered a beer. The barmaid was less than pleasant, most likely my fault, I didn’t find her humor pleasant. The barmaid was a mess and the towels they were using were all but done. All in all I was just hurt that places go to crap like this, it used to be great.

Fast food restaurant
Wendy's is a popular fast-food burger chain that offers a delightful variety of menu items, including their famous burgers and unique sides like chili and baked potatoes. Diners often rave about the quality of the food and the friendly service they receive. Many patrons have had positive experiences, even enjoying unexpected surprises like receiving the wrong sandwich but loving it nonetheless. With reasonably priced meals, such as a medium combo for around $11, Wendy's provides great value for delicious chicken dishes and more.
Yo, the food is on point, the people are nice and they messed up and let me keep the wrong sandwich. I’d recommend coming here. Medium meal cost 11.00 bucks, not bad for the quality of chicken I got.

They had stuff on the menu that was no longer available. Told us to pull forward to wait on fresh fries and the food didn’t come out for 20 min then it was the wrong food. Told us it would be 10 min before the correct food was ready

Missing items, Missing salad dressing for two salads, chicken nuggets missing. This appears to be a frequent occurrence. The food is good but the service isn't. Long wait times. People have to return the their jobs and don't have time to go in and argue with them about Missing food,
Chris B — Google review
The food was good. We had a service issue where we ordered a 4 piece nugget and a small fry, but they were missing. No big deal happens, went to the counter to get the missing items and the manager was insisting that we received the items. Went back and forth for a bit. Finally, the head manager got us the missing items. I want to call out the front counter worker. I dropped my fries and was going to pay for a replacement, but he just replaced them for free. Great service from him, the first manager not so much.

It appears that I have issues every single time I visit this location. I was hoping to see better customer service and attention to detail at this newly renovated location, but ive been met with the same problems as before. During my first visit back, I ordered inside. I was met with attitude and poor customer service with an inexperienced woman working the register, I didnt catch her name tag but she was a skinny older woman with glittery eyeshadow. Today we tried the drive thru, but we were not given our entrees or sauces. We only got fries and drinks, and had to park and go inside during the pouring rain to get our chicken sandwich and nuggets as the line was incredibly long. We are longtime wendys lovers and would love to come back and experience accurate orders and more friendly or better trained staff. we're no strangers to small mistakes and are usually very forgiving or uncovered by small inconveniences, its the consistency of the mistakes that drove me to write a review. thank you!

Always issues at this location. Wrong food, missing food, burnt food, old food, etc. DO NOT ORDER DOORDASH PERIOD. i have never received a correct doordash order. however all the issues listed also occur within the restaurant or though the drive thru. i am consistently disappointed by this location. if it wasnt the only location within the city i wouldnt even bother ordering anymore. if management is apart of the problem, this entire store needs their staff fired. we are better off without a wendys than with this location.

Skaets Steak Shop is a long-standing diner located on the outskirts of the Kansas State Fair Grounds in Hutchinson. Since its establishment in 1949, it has been a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, especially during weekends when its hearty breakfast menu draws crowds. The restaurant's traditional appeal and reasonably priced, satisfying meals have made it a family tradition for many in the area.
What a great Mom & Pop shop! Everything was fantastic. I loved the small cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent and the quality and quantity were a good value. If we ever make it back to Hutchinson again, this is definite stop to eat place!

Used to work here in Hutchinson for years. Always seen Skaets but never ate here. Came back to see family and met them here for breakfast. Now I am disappointed that I did not eat here earlier. The food was so good and the chicken fry was excellent, and the pancakes were really good. I’m not one to just crave pancakes but, I almost got a second order of them. I heard the moon burger is awesome! My brother in law said he has had almost every thing in the menu and has never been disappointed. Go check this place out, you will not be disappointed

Skaets Steak Shop is a fantastic place to enjoy fresh, flavorful roasted chicken with family. The moment we arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and casual, friendly vibe made us feel right at home. The star of the meal was definitely the chicken. It was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and wonderfully juicy, with a crisp, golden skin that added just the right amount of texture. The special sauce served alongside was outstanding—rich, savory, and full of balanced flavors that complemented the chicken perfectly. Each bite was satisfying and showed the care put into the preparation. My family and I had a truly delightful lunch here. The portions were generous, the service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy our meal. If you’re looking for a spot that serves top-quality roasted chicken with a delicious sauce, Skaets Steak Shop is an excellent choice. It’s the perfect place for a hearty, memorable family lunch.

Had our first experience there today. Delightful! Sat at the "bar" and watch the cooking - very entertaining. Struck up conversations with the cook, people to our right and left like they were family. Veggie omelette with jalepenos and cheese omelette with mushrooms were delicious. Large portions. Great service. Like going back in time....

Specialty Museums
Strataca, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, is a renowned salt mine museum that offers an immersive experience into the city's salt mining history. With over 30 years of operation, it stands as a vital pillar of Hutchinson's economy. Visitors can explore the massive salt deposit by descending 650 feet underground in just 90 seconds via a double-decker hoist. The museum also features guided tours, train rides, and exhibits that showcase the significance of salt mining to the city's financial stability.
We arrived too late on Sunday for the last tour and they are closed on Monday, but they were nice enough to let us stay in their RV parking lot so that we could wait for them to reopen for tours on Tuesday. I'm so glad we stayed and waited. This was by far our favorite attraction in Kansas! From the moment we entered the hoist I felt like we were on a great adventure. We traveled 650 feet underground in just 90 seconds. We had such a fun time exploring the underground tunnels, learning about how the salt is mined and moved above ground, and about the underground storage facilities used by the movie industry and more. I'm so glad the government didn't dump their nuclear waste here so that we are now able to explore this underground treasure. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell they take great pride in what they do.

This was a really interesting activity during my recent visit to Kansas. I was able to walk in and buy a ticket for the Combo tour (Salt Blast Pass and the Salt Safari). Had about a 10 minute wait until they took us down 650 feet in a dark elevator. For the first half hour we were on our own to explore, look at the exhibits and watch the videos. Then we got on a small train for a narrated ride through the mine. Following that, those of us who chose the Safari were seated in a small electric cart driven by Larry. He took us all over the mine, telling us many interesting facts and stories and pointing out different things along the way. At one point we entered the non-electrified area, so no overhead lights. The only light was from the cart's headlight and the flashlights he gave us. The road was very bumpy but Larry is a very careful driver. This was the best part of the whole combo tour and we saw the mine as it was back in the 1940s and 50s - trash and all! A couple times we were allowed to get off the cart and pick up chunks of salt as souvenirs. Highly recommend touring Strataca, and if you're the least bit adventurous be sure to do the Combo tour!
Barbara S — Google review
This place is really fun and definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. We had tickets for 2 tours and the dark ride I think, and yes, in one tour and the dark ride, you are allowed at one time each to choose a rock from a pile that you can keep. Tour rock was to be no larger than a hard hat, dark ride no larger than your fist - or you could fill a small bag with rocks, which was actually better in this case because most rocks seemed too large. There are no bags to carry these rocks in and you will need to carry them around until you leave for the most part. There is a table you can leave them on while you continue to shop or explore, but there are no bags to store them in. Whole some information overlaps in tours and can get repetitive for folks who have been to each, they have their own charm, and I enjoyed them. We did learn a lot about the salt mines and the tour guides were all quite educational and friendly. The shaft to get down/up can be a little shaky and sometimes they leave the light inside off. We did on the way down and I felt a little dizzy after - they will turn it on if you ask, it's not a big deal. It was much better on the way up with it on. They have all sorts of events going on, and if we were closer, we'd definitely check them out. This place is worth visiting for sure. Children will find some enjoyment, though it is mostly a museum. The special events might be something they would enjoy more.
Natalia W — Google review
We had so much fun looking and learning about the mine and all the history. I recommend going on all 3 rides thru the mine. Be sure to get your rocks too! The museum was fascinating and don't worry if you don't have enough time to walk thru it before going into the mine, you will have plenty of time after. It's hard to believe you are 650 ft underground! This looks us a little over 3 hours. I will go here again if I get in the area again!

Strataca review WE GOT THE SHAFT!!! 😁 We went down a mine shaft today that is. Toured Strataca, a former salt mine section 650 feet below Hutchison, Kansas. Starting with a 90 second hoist ride down at 10:00 AM and ending with a 90-second hoist ride back up at 2:30 PM, we saw a lot of exhibits explaining the history and techniques of salt mining. The sections we were in were actively mined beginning in the late 1940's through the late 1950's. Active mining has been ongoing and continues to this day mining horizontally at the 650 foot depth. It's all connected, but the current active mining is now about 2 miles away from the section we were in. Besides walking in various exhibit areas, we also got to take 3 tram/train tours back through different sections. We definitely recommend doing the combo-pass to include the "salt safari". It was not "claustrophobic" as the mined sections were all about 50 feet wide and 10 feet tall. It is a consistently about 67 degrees down there every day all year round (very nice). These mines produce road salt, not table salt. One of the rules in the safety briefing was "Don't lick the salt." 👅 Sections of mined out areas are now used for safe, secure, climate controlled, dry storage (as salt naturally removes moisture from the air). We also got to see some of the storage area and some artifacts from movie companies that are stored here. A great experience and well worth the time and admission.
Bill N — Google review
My wife wanted to go to this and I wasn't too excited about it to be honest. But when we got in 650 ft below the ground level and started looking around this is a really cool place. I would recommend anybody taking an afternoon to go in and checking it out. Lot of very cool history down here
Bo H — Google review
We drove from Topeka Friday morning, June 20, 2025. We bought the Combo Pass which included the Salt Safari and the Salt Blast. We had a great time! It was nice and cool, 68 degrees, 650' underground. (97 degrees outside that day) The staff were all very friendly and well informed in all facets of the mine. The tram tours and train ride were fun and informative. Everyone has such a wonderful sense of humor! We also stopped by the gift shop and bought a couple of T shirts to have a remembrance of our time there. We would recommend adding Strataca to your bucket list!
Lebrina H — Google review
Had a blast exploring this active salt mine with just a flashlight. You step back in time by visiting areas of the mine that were mined in the 40's & 50's. Everything is perfectly preserved as it was when the miners left that area of the mine. You can even experience total mine darkness, which is cool and creepy at the same time. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Evan and Barry were our guides, they do a great job telling you the story of the mine as they take you back to the 1940s & 1950s. This gem is certainly worth a visit.

Zoos & Aquariums
Tucked away in the scenic Carey Park, Hutchinson Zoo has been a beloved destination since the mid-1980s. This modern zoo is dedicated to showcasing a variety of wildlife primarily from Kansas and across the United States. Visitors can explore its nine-acre grounds, where they’ll encounter fascinating animals such as prairie dogs, black-footed ferrets, raccoons, North American river otters, bison, and an impressive array of fish in the aquarium.
This zoo is smaller, but such a beautiful little place. The animals were interactive and well cared for. We used the Sunflower Summer app, but it's hard to believe it is free (recommended donation).

We attended the River Otters birthday party! It was so much fun. This zoo is not large, but it is clean & the animals are well cared for. It's a nice place to visit for an hour or so.

This is a pretty decent zoo. However it is kind of showing its age and with the Wichita Zoo being so close I have to wonder what the point of it is. The Wichita zoo is so much nicer. Almost feel like Hutchinson should spend their money on something for the public to enjoy. There seemed like there was plenty of interactive things for children to do. I would go again because I think it's free which is nice
R.T. R — Google review
It’s a small zoo, but for a free small town zoo, I can’t really complain. They have a decent amount of animals, and the landscaping is great! My only complaint is that they don’t really have anything in the way of wildcats, except an Ocelot, which was unfortunately off exhibit. They had a decent amount of work being done, so hopefully when all that opens up, it’ll be even better.

Definitely a nice neat little zoo. It is free access!! It had quite the selection of some impressive animals and a train ride! The otters put on quite the show for us! Everything was well laid out and clean. Very friendly staff, you can tell they loved working with the animals.

I absolutely loved this zoo! They suggest $5 a family or $2/person but you aren’t required to donate to enter. Super cute gift shop. Staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions you had. Cicada turtles were participating in adult quality time and it was weird. The raccoon was sleeping the whole time it’s like it know it’s my favorite and what I was looking forward too so that was a lil sad but it’s gotta be exhausting being that cute 24/7 so I understand. There were a bunch more interesting animals to see though so it was fine. Definitely take the time to stop. The whole park itself is cute.

What a fun little zoo to visit!!! My littles especially enjoyed the small play areas and the telescope! The animals were moving all about and we got the chance to get right up close to a few of them. The path circles back to the beginning so there's no backtracking. We were there 30-45 minutes but you could stay longer if you wanted! Plenty of picnic tables I wish we could have taken advantage of--next time!

Swimming pool
Salt City Splash Aquatic Center is the perfect place to beat the heat and enjoy a refreshing aquatic adventure. With thrilling slides for both adults and children, a 50-meter Olympic-sized pool with diving boards, children's splash pools, and floating toys, there's something for everyone. Whether you want to relax by the pool or experience the excitement of the water slides, this aquatic center offers a variety of activities for families to enjoy.
This is one of the top water parks in Kansas. My family and I absolutely had a blast there. It splits in two sections which is great, one section for toddlers and the other for older kids and in the middle sits 2 water slides that are great for kids and adults. There is also a splash pad. Concession stand! And so much more! Get out there and try it out!
Jakin F — Google review
Great splash park and swimming pool! Love that it’s all in one and usually you can get a chair next to the flowers. Both slides are fun, see which one you think is faster! Wade swim or bake your choice! Not a bad snack bar either if you’re really hungry they even have hamburgers…..haven’t tried them but I’m told they’re good.👍 kid approved.

A great splash pad area for kids that cannot swim! Also has a larger pool with a very tall high diving board and short tube slide. Also has 2 larger, separate tube slides.

I go here to swim laps. Lap lanes are always open and never seem to be busy. Lifeguards always appear to be very attentive to the swimmers.
Sarah M — Google review
So, my first rating of Salt City Splash was all 5 stars. It has now changed. The bathrooms were filthy and the 15 minute safety checks are really an advertisement for their concessions. One lifeguard made our experience rather rough. I was swimming laps, but had taken a brief break when she literally said get out. Not, if you are done please leave the lap lanes. She called out several others for different things, but the two guys wrestling in the pool splashing her, we're fine because they were flirting with her. She looks to be the youngest lifeguard and wearing some gold chains around her neck. Tell her to be consistent or minimally be kind. You turned it around for me. The world is already sad enough without your adding salt and vinegar to wreck the whole reason we went. A sixteen year-old on a power trip today, made me question if I want to go back. Obviously, the little short girl life guard with long brown hair has a Napoleon Complex.

If you're on the hunt for a nostalgic dining experience, look no further than R-B Drive In in Hutchinson, Kansas. This charming, family-owned drive-in has been delighting locals since 1948 with its mouthwatering jumbo burgers and hand-cut fries that are simply irresistible. The menu also features delightful shakes and malts to complement your meal perfectly. Known for their commitment to quality, R-B Drive In serves up fresh ingredients that keep patrons coming back for more.
A historic drive-in that also has a small area inside for eating. They are open Monday-Saturday for lunch, but only Thursday evening for dinner. They have GREAT prices and a wide variety of hamburgers and other sandwiches.

Drive in restaurant with bar style seating inside more suited to smaller parties. They do have 2 outdoor tables that seat 6 each. Food is made fresh to order. The last time we went, we called and ordered an hour ahead so our food would be ready when we arrived because the lady told us it's was a 45 minute wait and we were on our way somewhere with specific amount of time to spend there, but despite calling ahead and our food ready when we arrived, we still ended up waiting about 40 minutes. This was our first time calling ahead with an order, so I'm not sure if this is normally what happens if an order is called ahead. I hope not. However, despite that, the service has been great every other time I've eaten at this establishment and sat inside.

***** for deliciousness!! ***** for the fun, retro atmosphere!! We had the belt buster! It was so good! 6 of us split it! They're HUGE! The fries were tasty! We really enjoyed lunch! Downside is the wait, we did have to wait close to an hour. We saw several people come in and pick up their called ahead order, that would probably be the way to do it! Update: came again this New Year’s week all the way from FL and R-B still does it the best!!!

Had heard great things. Had to wait an hour for our food. People that ordered after us got their food before us. We had to call the car hop over to ask about our food. When she brought it to us it had obviously been sitting the bag was greasy. My fries were cold and hard and the burger grisly. Sad first experience.

The only thing I'm disappointed in, is that I was not able to leave a tip for the waitress by ordering on line...I just rarely carry any cash. I pay for just about everything with a card. Also, the Pork Tenderloin was CRAZY good. Loved it.

They were blasted with door dash, call ins and walk-ins like us, to the tune of 30+ minutes, but hands down best hamburgers in town (and it was onion ring day too, so BONUS!)

Absolutely delicious hidden gem. Service is always amazing and food is always delectable. The limeades, fried mushrooms, and burgers are top tier. Yes, you will have to wait a bit for your food, but they make everything to order and it is so so worth it.

The go-to place for a classic made cheese burger. Love the R-B Special burger with grill onions. Sandwich includes patty, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion (grill on request) cheese, and ketchup. Their fries are always quite delicious! Pretty busy place as our wait was 40 minutes. But that gives you time to check our all the Hutchinson memorabilia inside. A side note, there doesn't seem to be a restroom available for use. Their onion rings are fantastic, available on certain days.

Excellent! Definitely a family friendly place. There are bathrooms on every level. There are also family restrooms and nursing rooms. The renovations are very nice! Air conditioning was also added in the renovations and it is so much more comfortable in there during warmer months. It’s just a good place to watch games. All seats have seat backs (except the bleachers behind the basketball goals). Concession stands are also great. Clean bathrooms. Clean facility. Definitely recommend going to watch any sporting event if you haven’t been yet.

Dillon Nature Center, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, is a 100-acre urban sanctuary that serves as an oasis for nature enthusiasts. The center features over 300 species of woody plants, native grasses, and wildflowers. It is also home to a diverse array of wildlife including 200 species of birds. Originally owned by the Dillon Stores company, the area was donated to the city and has since become a popular destination for families looking to explore the natural world.
DNC is one of my favorites places to be. It's usually not packed but there are times during the summer where weddings take place and the parking lot will be full. You can fish there. There are benches to sit and watch the pond. I like taking my dogs to walk there through the trails. There are little markers to help you not get lost if you are worried about that. It's very peaceful. And pretty decently sized. There is a visitor center in doors. But I have never been in there. The bathrooms are in there. This is a HUGE place to take pictures for all kinds of events so just be aware of that during the end of the school year, senior pictures. I come here on my lunch breaks and read too.

There’s never been a time when I went to the nature center and did not absolutely love it. What a relaxing and beautiful place to spend time alone or with family. It is amazing to be blessed with the healing that nature offers. From kids summer camp to garden club or walking my dogs I will say; this is quite possibly my favorite place to visit in Hutchinson.

Beautiful, tranquil gem in Hutchinson. We visited while waiting for our experience at a nearby museum. We enjoyed the indoor center, then walked around the lake and went through the childrens outside explore center. Would love to spend more time here walking and exploring. Good access for wheelchair too. They even allow fishing.

A little treasure in Hutchinson! My kids and i traveled to Hutch for Cosmosphere (totally recommend) next day wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather. Dillon Center has small indoor interactive educational area and then outdoors they have so many activities- play area for kids, pond for fishing, and nature trails. All free. One of my kids’ favorite places we stopped at.

Nestled on the second floor of the First National Bank building, Downtown Sampler Restaurant is a hidden gem in Hutchinson that promises a delightful dining experience. This unpretentious eatery specializes in homestyle breakfast and lunch options, featuring an array of wraps, sandwiches, and Mexican dishes made with fresh ingredients. While it may be a bit tricky to locate due to its modest signage, once you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm atmosphere and friendly service that makes you feel right at home.
I have lived here for a bit and never knew this restaurant existed. It was a very nice surprise. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. They have soups, salad and sandwiches mostly. I had a cup of soup (was potato that day) and half a club, and they were both delicious. Everything everyone had looked great, I highly recommend.

Been meaning to try here for sometime. Today was my only day off for the next eleven days. I am very glad I visited. They are open 7am - 2pm Monday through Friday. They start serving lunch around 10:30am. They are on the second floor of First national Bank near the restrooms. Had the 2 egg omelette with hash browns and wheat toast. With a tip was under $20. The portion was superb and the quality was excellent. I would suggest to anyone not from a downtown residence to give them a try.

Very good place for lunch. The burgers and sandwiches are good and they have lighter options as well if you try to be more carb-free. The chef salad was very good and was also fresh. Friendly service and it’s very clean! Would definitely recommend if you’ve never tried this place before.

Papa John's Pizza is a go-to destination for pizza lovers seeking both classic and specialty options, along with delicious wings, sides, and desserts. Whether you're in the mood for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner at home, ordering online is a breeze. Many customers rave about the friendly staff who ensure your experience is smooth from start to finish. With their attentive service, you can expect prompt assistance whether you're picking up your order or having it delivered.
I always love to pick up or have pizza or other food delivered from this place.... It's always fresh and the crews that work there, day or night, know what they are doing to make the experience that much better...THANKS TO THE MANAGERS AND THE CREW
J. P — Google review
The food is great. Papadias are a fantastic choice for a quick midnight snack or lunch at work. Delivery is slow. The best option is always to go in for pick-up. However, understandably, this is not always the best option for those who cannot always go out. In this case, Doordash the order directly through the Doordash application as the business will send off the order to Doordash themselves if they are low on drivers. The management team will still do everything in their power to ensure the freshness and quality of the food upon delivery, even if the delivery is late. If you have a large party with lots of pizzas, this is not the best place for delivery. The driver turnover rate is bad which makes me think that something is going on behind the scenes specifically in the evening that needs to be promptly addressed by upper management. Otherwise, great quality food and fantastic prices. Cheap without losing the taste is always a plus in my book. The only negative is the delivery time and efficiency with little to no follow-up communication to the customer per management. Rely too heavily on the tracking feature. Customers deserve an honest and upfront explanation of lengthy delivery times without having to call themselves. Please, consider an updated system.

I ordered the Chipotle wings well done. There's no way they were well done. The wings were not even close to being crisp they were soggy. The wings also had a freezer taste to them. I called the store about my issues and they didn't care. I got there isn't anything I can do. Highly disappointed in papa john's and the wings.

It was lunch time and wanted to order online. It was pretty easy and ordered a couple of the lunch combos, since we've never had them before. It was didn't take long for pickup and staff was very friendly. The overall price wasn't bad for the combos. The debate is still large for who has the best pizza, but I will still come back for more, nevertheless.

This evening, I ordered over the phone and had our first mix up. I then called back after the one pizza I order came, and the other did not. They were very professional, courteous, and extremely quick to get us our other pizza. Will definitely continue to use them. Kept a customer.

Fast-food burger & fries joint with an old-school feel, including retro drive-in service.

4$ for a medium coffee that doesn't taste good or like it used to. Tastes like someone cleaned the pot into the cup. Charged for flavor and it had none. Scooters is good 5 stars for scooters.
Amber S — Google review
I have had nothing but bad experiences at this Sonic. So frustrating. More than once they have been massively slow on service. They gave me cold food today, after I had already talked with their manager, they would not honor my coupon because the carhop who brought my food out had finalized my order before I even paid for it. Telling me she.would have to cancel my order and ring it up again. Why they didn't do that only shows me they are unwilling to be there for thier customers. Then to top it all off, I get home, the food is cold, and they gave me a hamburger when I asked for a cheeseburger and charged me for a cheeseburger. I have repeatedly given them a second chance, and I will not be doing this again. Since this sonic is not far from my house and the other is on the other side of town sonic period will not be getting my business unless I happen to be on the other side of town and feel the want for some sonic., It's a shame because they haven't always been this bad it all started about two years ago and has just gotten worse as time when on.
Jennifer L — Google review
Just decided to try eating here again after having several disappointmening experiences several months ago. Thought maybe they had gotten their stuff together. I ordered a quarter pound double and pickle fries. Four cars were also waiting on orders so it was not busy at all. I waited and waited probably 10 mins finally I decided to leave without my order. I tried to call but no answer. Apparently the service of this place has not improved but has gotten worse.
Dawna M — Google review
Everytime I go here, I get someone else's order or something is missing. Today I went because I wanted a cherry dr pepper. They gave me someone else's order and then when I went back through to tell them, they still brought me the wrong drink. And the sweet tea wasn't even good! I wouldn't be upset if it at least didn't taste like old tea!
Halei K — Google review
Worst experience at a sonic I've had in 40 years. Placed a $53 order ahead of time to give staff time to prepare . When I showed up no one answered the drive through for about five minutes, finally she said order when ready. I let them know I was there to pick up my mobile order. Got to the window and was greeted by a young lady who had nails that were much too long to be sanitary in a food establishment. She hands me a few bags and then my drinks. I was expecting the chicken dinners to be in boxes, but they were not. I asked her "are you sure this is everything? She replied yes. I seriously doubted that was our entire order of 6 meals so I pulled forward and checked everything. I was missing multiple items: a whole burger meal, three toys missing out of all the kids meals, the chicken dinners were in in a bag with tots spilled on top, no boxes, no gravy, no toast, no Marinara or ranch with the cheese sticks, all the other tots just thrown in a bag so messy and sloppy, no salt and pepper, no peppermints. I call: I asked why the chicken dinners are not in boxes or have toast and gravy, why is the chicken thrown in a bag with tots on top? I was informed they have a new manager and do not make the chicken dinners like that anymore. I informed him that I asked the girl at the window if everything was there because it didn't seem like everything, and so many items were missing .so I had to hold up the line and wait for the rest of my order to be brought out. Finally get home and then notice that all the sauces were also missing, the burgers were sloppy and terribly made, and they still did not give us the kids meals toys. My family cooks and eats at home 3 times a day and couldn't even stop at sonic for a lunch on a Saturday. I will never trust this establishment with a food order ever again. I will be following up with a phone call to the manager again when they are available.
S R — Google review
I wish the rating could be less than 1 star. Waited for quite awhile in the drive thru. My iced tea had a large hole in the cup and filled up my cup holder with liquid. The breakfast burrito was pitiful! Received no receipt. Just a horrible experience. As you can see the picture speaks for itself!!!
Theresa K — Google review
honestly, lady at drive thru cut us off so we were forced to drive to the window to finish our order, the guy at the window was very rude and as we were trying to finish our order kept cutting us off and closing the window on us, it took 30 minutes and about 3 people drove out of line because it was so long, people at fast food resturants need to learn to be nicer.

Anchor Away may not win any awards for its exterior, which might leave you a bit skeptical, but don’t let that deter you! This hidden gem serves up some of the most delicious food around. The friendly staff makes first-timers feel right at home as they guide you through the menu. You can expect generous portions, like their overflowing tacos with crispy shells and flavorful fillings. If you're feeling adventurous, try the beef enchilada paired with their perfectly spicy hot sauce—it’s a flavor explosion!
Don't let the exterior of this building fool you. its a little ruff looking, but the food is amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful since we were first-timers. Ordered four tacos that had so much filling in them that all were overflowing with a light crispy shell. Wanted to try something different, so I also got a beef enchilada and put some of their hot sauce on it that had just the perfect touch of heat ....wow! They had a wide variety of items from breakfast on, so I'm definitely going back.

If I could give 0’s for this experience I would. I ordered 2 chips supremes both came with no beef. I don’t know why, I didn’t order them that way. Then they charged me a dollar more for one that I said no peppers and light onions on. So less ingredients = more money + they didn’t put all the ingredients on them to begin with. We ordered our taco burger with no chili. Of course it came dripping with chili. The worst part about it is when we picked it up they locked the window after practically throwing the food out. So by the time we got home with our order and realized it was wrong they were closed it was too late. They closed at 8. That’s crazy.
Jenni S — Google review
The food/salsa were great and the service/atmosphere was decent for a drive thru. The only negative was the size of the meat and veggies in the tacos. Whis it was chopped in to smaller pieces. But that won't stop me from getting my taco fix when in Hutchinson!

Does this look like a burrito ? That’s what I ordered and when she asked me if I wanted anything else I said yes a large coke too ! Paid 9 bucks for a burrito/taco salad with a tortilla ! I e literally have been to thousands of “Mexican food” restaurants and have never left a google review until now .

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, we thought the service was fast, but they were constantly apologizing for how long it was taking even though it only took maybe 5 minutes to get our food. The portions were huge to the price.

Love the food, but wouldn’t dare eat in again. It’s one of those places that’s better to not see where your food comes from. It’s unfathomable to me why they don’t invest in their bldg, the inside is a real life dumpster fire, only suitable for people with vision impairments.

I went to the drive thru restraunt and only bad thing was the drive thru set up is kinda tricky, if you dont drive straight in then there are little pipes sticki g up just high enough to catch your fender and do some damage and no signs warning you of it

Anchor Inn Restaurant is a long-standing family-run Mexican restaurant located in Hutchinson. Housed in the former 1916 American Hotel, it offers traditional Mexican staples and a buffet in an old-school setting. Not their fault that we got there near closing, so the buffet was limited. Food was good. Would go again at an earlier hour. Service was great, not rushed at all.

Stopped here last night(Friday). Never been here before, but Mexican buffets aren't too common, so I stopped because of the novelty. The service was great and the atmosphere was fine. The most important part for me is the food. The selection was fair, but I wasn't impressed by the quality of the food. The potatoes were good as was the chocolate cake. The enchiladas were not to my liking, neither was the fish or the chicken dish. I've been to one other Mexican buffet, that was in Omaha. Wasn't impressed with that one either.

Great place to go in Hutchinson. Interior is unique. It has been a staple downtown since '77. The staff was attentive. They have buffet Wed-Sat for a reasonable price. Tamales and rice are decent, and I enjoy their tortillas. It's buffet food so don't set your expectations too high. If you order off the menu I feel like the quality is a little better. Good place to hit the bar and watch the game. They also have room for larger parties and events. I'll upgrade to five stars once the restroom facilities get a little more cleaning attention. Consistently good experiences.
Tyler D — Google review
We were there on a busy Friday night. We ordered off the menu. Food was fast and delicious. We ordered chips and salsa. Absolutely the best chips I've ever eaten! Chose to sit at a table rather than a booth so had to sit by the buffet but it was fun to people watch from there.
Nancy A — Google review
Upon arrival, we picked our own seat. After a couple minutes our waitress came and got our drink orders. We all did their buffet. The salad portion was good. The hot portion was ok. The rice was delicious. The enchiladas were ok. The cheese dip was just nacho cheese nothing special. The chips were too hard and crunchy. The little closed fried tortillas were not good at all. The best part of it all was the desert. When we sat down at our table it was sticky. The place was hot and we were sweating. The place seems like it went downhill a little since I was last there.

A charming and uncomplicated park, Avenue A Park offers delightful pathways alongside the canal and underneath Main Street. The park boasts an array of stunning flowers, with periodic events like Third Thursday showcasing crafts vendors and talented musicians. Visitors can enjoy concerts on the stage, while seated comfortably on lush grass or blankets. Nearby murals add to the park's charm, along with a few picnic tables and a splash park located at W Ave A and S. Washington corner. Overall, Avenue A Park is truly fantastic!
This is a simple, but charming little park. It's fun to walk the paths around the canal, and under Main Street... the flowers are beautiful. Its ok for a small little park in the middle of town. They have a small stage that local singers use to perform on when the weather is decent. The area does look much nicer than it did when I was younger but still seems like the money could have been spent on other things in town to make more improvements on other problem areas. But it is a nice little park when the weather is decent to go outside and have lunch or just to stretch your legs in.
Brandon B — Google review
This little Park is just stinking cute and well designed. Has a lazy river (no swimming allowed!!! This river has trash deposited into it), an awesome gazebo with a stage for performances with a giant sloping green field to sit on across from it. Also has a free water park for kids during the summer and features some local artists paintings on the sides of buildings near the park. Just a small, adorable yet often used park. Great for picnics
Steven R — Google review
Its a beautiful area. I understand people need to stay cool but been there at the water park the last couple times and there's always homeless people sitting at the only table under the oning with all there stuff, loud music, smoking, yelling and cussing. Don't really appreciate it around small children.

Have not been to the farmers market in a while. I was able to get lunch at one vendor dessert at another vendor and at the same time picked up some lotion for my hands and vegetables for this week's meals!! Oh I was also able to get bubble bath!! Have to say this almost better than Target! Less walking here! And the weather was a delight and all the vendors were nice! I've got to remember to keep going here but there's only three more weeks!

Great vegetables and products, a cozy location, and the live music is incredible! It's a great way to spend some time on a Saturday morning and bring home some local produce and goodies!

What variety! From farm fresh vegetables to homemade desserts, the farmer's market is the place to go! You can even pickup some local artwork, or a hand crafted toy for the kiddos. Don't miss out!

First time at the Farmer's Market in several years. I love that it's grown so much. We arrived later in the morning... So, everything was already picked over a little. That's our fault but I loved what I saw. We'll just have to get there sooner next week. Bought several items and was blown away by the little bread vendor at the end of the isle. Love, love, love the look at taste of their bread. I was so excited to see Parisian looking breads. (I so totally forgot that I'm on this strict diet and not allowed bread right now) I bought 2 different kinds of bread. A large french baguette and a ciabatta loaf. So, excited to use for my dinner parties. Oh, and I grabbed some of their flour to try my hand at making my own. On a side note... would love to see some foodie trucks at the market selling breakfast or brunch items. Just a thought.

Sandhills Brewing is a must-visit for craft beer enthusiasts, located near Salt City Brewing in Hutchinson. The brewery offers a diverse selection of craft beers to cater to different tastes. Visitors can enjoy small-batch seasonal beers and complimentary popcorn while watching sports at Salt City Brewing. Sandhills Brewing provides a cozy and friendly atmosphere, perfect for relaxed conversations over good beer.
This is an exceptional brewery! The setting is awesome. (Indoor/Outdoor seating) It is a very clean place with great beers. The two sours are some of the best with the chickadee beer w/ pineapple being most excellent. Small personal size pizzas are available and those are also excellent as well as a tasty pretzel. Staff was friendly and very helpful! We will be back when in the area.

Since moving to Kansas from Colorado we have been searching for a brewery that feels like home, and this one is it. The beers are fantastic, I highly recommend the Redtail or the Swift, but everything we sampled was delicious. They also have food, merch, and games/books. The space is huge and there's a private space to rent. 10/10 beer!
Laura B — Google review
Good local brewery with a great vibe. The Flanders red and Golden strong are especially well done. They also have a good table saison. Oh the IPAs work if you are into that kind of thing.
Steven S — Google review
Perfect atmosphere that is family friendly or perfect for a date night. Their food was delicious and their customer service was just as good. We enjoyed the cheeseburger pizza. My husband mixed the chickadee beer with the cider which he enjoyed!
Cassandra W — Google review
Definitely the place to go for beer in town. The quality is spot on, service was super friendly, and the taproom is cool. The Mexican lager should be called prairie chicken, but everything else is perfect. Five feathers.
Thomas C — Google review
This downtown area allows parking in the middle of the street. The brewery is not facing the street rather it's doorway entrance is in a alley but, you can drive through to enter or exit. " confused" don't park a new vehicle in the alley. If your visiting from out of town you'll be fine. Neat inside seating area's. Beer was Pretty average , service is good. The porter was my fave of the 5 tasters tried between us.
M — Google review
Very nice Place. Beer is cold right temperature. Clean and they have a food truck on saturdays. Very clean restrooms. There is a Tesla destination Charger and it works pretty good an hour and you get 40 miles. No super charger but incase you are low on charge you can atleast have beer and some decent food here.

City park
This is a great park! Accessible for everyone. They have a playground with a bathroom nearby, walking trails and a pond where you can fish. There is also disc golf if you want to do that. Is very well maintained. We enjoy going out here, just a really nice area of town.
Maura L — Google review
The trails are great i love them just wish they would stop cutting down trees. Other issue is trash because kids at night come in and don't clean up after themselves. I've seen vandalism here in the bathrooms and playground. Until the city puts a gate up at night to prevent highschool kids in there it will just continue.
Sabrina D — Google review
If you haven’t visited here yet and walked the trails, mark it as something to do in Hutchinson. And if I was a kid, I’d LOVE the little playground!! Heck, what am I talking about? I love it right now. I’m just too big to play on it. 🤔😄
Ginger L — Google review
Beautiful magical playground! We really enjoyed playing the instruments and walking the paths. They have a grate bike tool station on the trail.

Excellent place to bring your children! This park has something for everyone to do. Disc golf, walking trails, and fishing. Even has a bike repair station!

One of the new parks in town. My kids love the play equipment and it's clean. There are good trails and a large frisbee golf course.
Robert H — Google review
We love this park so much we often drive 40 minutes to visit. Love the woodland castle theme, musical instruments, and wheelchair accessible features (ramps make it more fun for everyone!). Nice restrooms and walking paths are also a plus.
Emily M — Google review
My 2yr old absolutely loves this park the best out of every park in hutchinson. Its the newest and has the best play equipment. Also has a big dinosaur that sprays a mist of water (only on during the summer months, same schedule as public pools) Sandbox, lots of swings, 2 baby swings, a 2 bigger swings for disabled children... This park is geared towards serving the disabled children.💚🍃🌿

Carl's Bar & Delicatessen is a beloved local gem that has been a cherished part of the community for nearly four decades. This inviting spot offers an impressive menu where you can customize your own sandwich or burger, all at an affordable price. Patrons rave about the delicious food, including their famous Reuben and mouthwatering chili cheese dog, making it a go-to destination for both lunch and after-work drinks. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who ensure excellent service every time.
What a great place. Excellent beer on tap and it was ice cold too. Food was deliscious. The service was top notch. I'm not a local and was just in Hutchinson for business. I'm really glad I went and will definately come here again.

Cheap beer and tasty food reasonablypriced. Love this place for lunch or after-work drinks. The Ruben is always on point!

Lunch with my husband. The lady serving us was very prompt with the service and a great personality. We also were in there this last Saturday....the food is so good.
Daphne M — Google review
I love this place! An added Bonus is that it is Incredibly Close to our house. Almost every time I come here, I get the same thing, although I have ventured a little, and tried different items on the menu, and I can honestly say that I have never been unimpressed! They have the option to build your own sandwich or Burger, and for around 7 Bucks, it's quite a great deal! I usually get a sandwich that is pretty similar to the Reuben, but I "drag it through the garden," and usually add some purple onions and some lettuce. The bread is always soft and fresh if you eat it cold, and they are willing to heat or toast your sandwich to Perfection, depending on what you want. The Reuben is honestly my favorite! I get it minus the thousand island dressing, and usually have spicy mustard and a little mayo put on there, instead. We just went there this past week, and I left happy and full!

My usual go-to watering hole and lunch spot when I'm in Hutch. Their "famous" reuben is named such for a reason, the servers are friendly and courteous, and my glass never went dry.

Hickory Stik is a delightful barbecue gem nestled on Main Street in Hutchinson, born from the passion of Bruce, who recognized the need for a BBQ spot in the area. With guidance from his childhood friend James Manges of Woodies Smokehouse BBQ, Hickory Stik has quickly become a local favorite. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by mouthwatering aromas that promise an unforgettable meal.
Love this place! Great food and great service. I got the Mac Attack Potato with pulled pork as my choice of meat... it was AMAZING. 10/10! If you haven’t eaten here yet, please do!

Nice change from the other local barbecue joints in town. Good value for your dollar, impressed with the amount of ribs with my order. Fall off the bone tender.

These employees are some of the nicest I've talked to. Food we excellent and everyone one incrediblely friendly. Baked potato is crazy.
Ej F — Google review
I've been here several times and it's always a hit. For the most part the food is very consistent. Last time I went I tried the Cole slaw and was not a fan. It just tasted "off", like it might have been old. But everything else was fresh and tasted great. Price is what you expect from a BBQ place. If Roy's is closed, this is your place.

Dine In Experience - super friendly service! Danielle made us feel right at home from the moment we walked through the door :) We came for lunch around 3pm-very hungry. Our plates were made fresh after we ordered but were at our table within 10 minutes. Very casual atmosphere - Styrofoam plates, plastic flatware - foam cups. Recommend the plate combo- tender beef brisket, decent slaw and amazing fried okra. Not usually a plus, but even the TOAST was perfectly buttered and grilled to a golden brown and was just the right compliment to that brisket. Sauces were good too and I'm usually a no sauce bbq person. Thanks, Hickory Stik for a pleasant dining experience and absolutely delicious meal.
MOmom7of9 — Google review
Smelled great the minute we walked in. We were not disappointed! Pulled pork was plentiful and a good sandwich. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. My personal favorite was the okra! Crispy and lightly breaded with great seasoning! The stuffed potato was more than enough for both of us to share. They were even kind enough to split it for us. Service was excellent and a young man even stopped by to see if everything was to our liking. Would visit again, and recommend.

I believe our server's names was Brian I don't remember now. He was awesome and very kind and helpful. The place was small but clean and very family friendly even though the AC was not working or whatever. If we ever go back to Hutch we would definitely eat there again. Very family friendly.

Fast food restaurant
Taco Bell is a beloved fast-food chain that specializes in delicious Mexican-inspired dishes like tacos, quesadillas, and nachos. Many patrons rave about their experiences at this particular location, highlighting the attentive staff who ensure orders are accurate right from the start. While some customers have encountered longer wait times—especially when fresh food is being prepared—the overall vibe remains positive. One standout employee named Nathan has set a high bar for customer service, making visits enjoyable even during busy hours.
Just dropped 55 dollars and wasn't even upset about it. Nathan the order taker sets a new standard for customer service. Even the other gentleman at the window was on point. Had a van full of warn out tired fair kids and this was by far the best visit to any taco bell I've had in years. What a crew working tonight.
Tony E — Google review
I ordered breakfast from this location and received all of my order burnt. Not subjectively burnt, like too dark for me but ok by normal standards, but obviously burnt which should have prompted them to not serve that as a paid order. Once I was home and noticed, I called to inform them of the issue. After the third or forth time of calling due to no one answering the phone, I spoke to a lady who stated she was the “owners wife”. I explained the situation, and what was her reaction? She laughed. She started giggling and told me that I should have brought it back or called sooner (I had been 45 minutes) and to bring the food back the next morning for them to see that it was burnt to fix the issue. I’ve never been told to save bad food and bring it back the next day for inspection..
Jim B — Google review
Long line at the drive through but it moved ok. The drive through menu was missing half of the sign. Food was good. We got exactly what we ordered. The server have us napkins and a straw without us having to ask for it.
Margie B — Google review
As any business owner I would imagine they would always want to have in stock the item that always sells out of. Not with both taco bells here in town though, adding another case or 2 of empanadas to the truck order must be too much.
Cruz — Google review
I understand that nobody wants to work and the lobby can't be open early. That's why it was four stars and not five!

On more then one occasion they have gotten the order wrong and the drive thru is slow. The food is always hot and they load up the burritos really good.

Sand Hills State Park in Hutchinson, KS is a sprawling 1,123-acre sanctuary featuring a diverse range of habitats including sand dunes, woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands. The park offers RV camping facilities for outdoor enthusiasts. The ecologically rich dune system showcases wind-deposited sands rising as high as 40 feet and protected by the roots of sand prairie grasses.
been going to this place for years. I do miss the bench that used to be on top of the hill, looking toward sunrises. The trails have been expanded a little and improved. More bathrooms would be nice. I know it would take more work, but more trash cans would be also be nice if people would use them.
Michael W — Google review
We are trying to hit up all the KS state parks and so far this was the least enjoyable one. The campground area is just a circular parking lot which allows the never ending KS wind to be brutal. Some trees could really help this out. There is supposed to be a fishing lake in the middle of the camp area, but the lake was completely dry so there is no fishing available. Was very disappointed to learn that the restrooms were closed even though the website said they were available, so I would not recommend this to any tent campers. The trails are wide and easy to walk on. They intersect on each other and there are different vegetations from prairie to woodlands. Stay on the trails for pups safety as there are quite a few burrs and cacti along the edges of the trails.
April L — Google review
Great secluded park but definitely needs maintenance. Trails are overgrown this summer. No emergency exit on 56th, and the train gets stuck on the tracks often. You can wait on average an hour to get in or out. Many people use the trails as a dog park. If you have a nervous or aggressive dog be prepared to be rushed by uncontrolled big dogs.
Lea H — Google review
I come here for family to be close to one another for a few days. I don't think we should pay like it's got water cuz it doesn't have a drop. I like to fish but I can't. Tree's r filling up where water once stood. The coyotes r so close, they sound like they're really close. It has clean bath houses. They always have nice people watching over the campsites and they take their picture
Carla W — Google review
This seems like a really great state park. It was not crowded at all. The trails are well maintained and marked well. The trails are easy and the scenery is nice. There's a nice big sand hill that is an easy climb and has a great view.
Megan K — Google review
The area was lovely, and my children and I had stopped on a 4 hour trip to get out and stretch our legs. I opened my car door and immediately this random woman (who did not identify herself as an employee until after I explicitly asked her if she was) began approaching me before I even had made it out of my car. She began asking "are you staying here" i was very caught off guard and had said "We're planning on just walking around for a bit" and she begins looking into my car windows and says "Who's we? Do you have a dog?" I'm very uncomfortable at this point as I'm travelling alone with my kids. And I got a little snippy and asked "Is that your business?" And she was clearly iritated that I was not answering her. I asked if she was an employee (She had no name tag, nothing about her marking her as a state park employee at all) and she was very rude with her yes and then saying that people frequently sit out there for her....but again the questions and looking into my car windows was very out of line. Beautiful area but made me extremely uncomfortable right off the bat.

Skateland Family Fun Center is a popular spot for kids' birthday parties and family outings. While some find the prices a bit high, it's considered one of the best places in town for children's parties. The center offers private party options, ensuring a more intimate experience for smaller children. Skateland also participates in the Kids Skate Free program, making it an affordable option for families.
Every Saturday you get a Free Pizza Slice ticket for Papa Johns Pizza. They serve a few varieties of flavors. They had Cheese, and Meat Lovers when I went. Next time I go I will update on additional flavors. It was simple and straightforward to hand in the ticket, and receive the pizza. The atmosphere, and music was great. They also accept song requests. People went up to the mic, and sang along with the songs. That was so great to see, I loved that! Overall the people, and workers were nice. If anyone fell they would stop to make sure they were ok. Also everyone was a good sport, and laughed at themselves and others as they'd almost fall. It's like the scenario as close mates, first you ask if they are ok, then you both crack up laughing. I missed the nostalgia of Skating, and will definitely be coming back every weekend!

The DJ is on point here. If you have song requests they will play them! We also got free pizza (Pappa John’s) the night we came (Saturday). Lots of kids rollerblading and roller skating. Fantastic atmosphere and clean. Plus fun games to play while skating! Highly recommend this place!

Here from Florida for a big family Christmas & a few of us found the rink. I’m ‘xyz’ years old and this was my first time skating in a rink!! 😆 it was a lot of fun, The teens in our group loved it. The Christmas tree and lights was cool, disco ball & music, music videos…All totally gave a 80’s vibe!

This place used to be one of my favorite hang outs as a teenager. It has definitely fallen from grace a bit. It's not as busy as it once was when I was younger. That being said it is still a great place to take your kid. I hadn't even thought of taking my toddler there till I went to a birthday party. My son had so much fun. It's even better cause this rink is in the Kids Skate Free program. If you sign up your kid can skate free. Parents don't have to pay to enter but you do have to rent skates if you want to skate. Otherwise you can just walk holding your kids hand if they are super little. They also have little walker type things your kids can use if they can't get skate alone. So it is a good free time. But it's not just for kids. When mybhusband and a I went for that party we skated and it was a lot of fun even if we were horrible. Lol! It's on our list for a future date night :).

We had my grandson birthday party here. Fun for all, but the price for the birthday party to me was a bit high. Though for this town there aren't many places that you can have kid parties. Now we had rented it out for a private party, so that was a little higher, but we didn't have to worry about having other people around since we had smaller children. But we had to take drinks, the cake and whatever else we wanted. For that much money you would think that they could serve drinks and if not a cake something else.

Prairie Dunes Country Club

Country club
Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, KS is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. This picturesque golf course has a rich history dating back to the 1930s and has hosted prestigious international golf competitions. Tucked away from the city, it offers a challenging yet rewarding experience with well-maintained grounds featuring lush rough, green fairways, and smooth greens. The course's natural surroundings provide an authentic Midwest experience with wind and native grass adding to the challenge.
I was very fortunate to get invited to play here with a group of friends. WOW what an amazing course. It’s a golfers dream. I’m a high handicap player so I will say it’s not an easy course but when you are playing somewhere with that quality and history, score becomes an afterthought. The greens were the purist I’ve ever experienced. The staff was very friendly. Pro shop has one of the biggest selections of merchandise that I have ever seen. Which really surprised me due to the location. If you ever get the chance, don’t pass this place up.
Anthony M — Google review
Great layout, one of my favorite. Very tough course that demands keeping your ball in the fairway. I love this hole on the back nine!
Jim C — Google review
Prairie Dunes Country Club was an absolute pleasure! When you get a chance to play a classic masterpiece, you want to know you got its best defense. It did not disappoint! The wind was blowing 25-30MPH, and the fairway and greens were firm and dried out. Plus, the greens were running a smooth 14 with these conditions. That means hit your spot, and don't go long. Perry Maxwell's design was perfect, only to be complemented by his son finishing out the final 9 holes. To think he created this course in the 1930s with a metal blade and horses makes you appreciate this treat even more. The par 3's were fantastic, aesthetically pleasing, and difficult all at the same time. How many times are you gonna find a hole named "The Chute"? Hole number 8 may be one of the best par 4's on this planet. The mounding and dune have your attention off the tee, but quickly, you're demanded to hit an accurate uphill 2nd. Miss all the bunkers and find the green, then the fun starts from there. Bring your imagination, as you'll need it to putt on the "Perry Swells". Whether it's before or after the round, or maybe during; I highly recommend the Gunch Punch. If you stop in the card room, you might have the chance to meet the creator of this libation. This was a treasure in the Plains of Kansas. I wanted to thank the proshop and clubhouse for entertaining us and hope to return one day for another crack at this amazing course.

7 handicapper here. Course was beautiful and the beauty was almost impossible to capture. Golf course was great, but about 15% of the playable areas were burned out. Greens were impossible to score on. Dried out & blazing fast. Would not hold a shot. Fun day, but golf was beyond difficult. Wind was a factor, but not the predominant factor.

We were guests of a member here to play this great old links-style course. It was a cold breezy cloudy day and we got off just ahead of the course MGA National Members Member-Guest tournament. The course is built in the natural sand hills so the fairways can be like roller-coasters at times. The bunkers had brown dirt and not sand as most course bunkers do. All fairways are lined with prairie grass that is incredibly dense so an errant ball is as good as gone. And, where we live grasses like that would be harboring snakes so it was hard to think of “going in” to find a ball. Our member host went in several times and he walked out each time with a handful of balls from about 10 seconds of looking! The greens are TOUGH. Almost all are undulating and with no secondary cut to keep a ball from rolling off. Getting a good shot on a green means landing a shot at or around the pin! If you get the chance to play this gem, take it.

Very nice CC with a beautiful course. Lots of renovations and expansion have made this a destination you will want to come and experience!

I was a skeptic going in, but within a few holes was made a believer. A must play for anyone who loves golf and memorable courses.

Awesome course! Easy tee to green but very difficult greens with undulations and steep edges.

Japanese steakhouse
Mr. Cao Japanese Steakhouse is a delightful spot nestled in a shopping center, offering an extensive menu that showcases the best of Japanese cuisine. From fresh sushi rolls like the Black Dragon and Philadelphia to hearty grilled meats and comforting udon, there's something for everyone. Diners rave about the generous portions and attentive service, with many returning for their favorite lunch specials. The atmosphere is inviting, making it perfect for both casual outings with friends or family dinners.
Great food, atmosphere and service! This was my 1st time visiting. My waiter was very patient and helpful while I was ordering. I will definitely be visiting again!♡

I went with a couple friends for sushi. We got the black dragon, USA, shrimp tempura, california, and cowboy something(?) rolls and they were all delicious! The staff were very kind. The only thing I didn’t like was the guava candy and that’s just because I don’t like guava lol.

Not bad at all, good prices, but the place have a lack of cleaning and smells funny. The onions in the mixed vegetables tasted bad, like vinegar. That was my first time there, I don't know if that is normal or not. In other hand the salad was very good and both dressings are delicious. The blue drink is a Ramune is not too sweet as other sodas are.

I’ve been coming here for years now, and they’re always super sweet and the sushi is delicious! I always get the big john and philadelphia rolls on their lunch special (it’s a steal!). Today’s waiter we had was Nanda and he was extremely attentive and kind. Thank you!! :)

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! This was my “side” of noodles flavor less and cold! I purchased 2 sushi rolls they both tasted super fishy and old, my husband went in to pick up his food on time and he saw a to go order sitting at the desk and the guy in the front told him our food wasn’t ready so he waited 20 mins and the guy looked back and picked up our food that had been sitting there the whole time. EVERYTHING was cold and disgusting! DO NOTTTTT GO HERE!!! Save your money!! They charged us 70$ for food we didn’t eat. EDIT: My husband’s hibachi steak was raw and it gave my husband food poisoning. The food was so bad I tried to return it, then they tried to offer me a coupon back to the restaurant, (as if I’d eat there ever again) and they only returned the money for the raw steak not the whole meal…

Very good food. It is pretty pricey though but you do get good sized servings and depending on what you order you’ll get soup, salad and rice. I ordered the shrimp dinner entree and it was very good. They also have kids options. Definitely recommend.

Great for Sushi and asian grill. Server was polite and had a robot deliver somenofnthe dishes.

Iced tea tastes like it was brewed in the toilet. Husband had hair in his food. Had to ask 3 times for silverware. Finally got up and got our own. Bathroom was filthy and had no paper towels or a dryer to dry your hands. I counted 13-14 people working in there. Running around looking busy. Almost knocked out table over. Twice. Save your money. Drive to Newton and eat at the China Inn. It’s not hibachi but at least you can eat it. 👌

If you're on the hunt for a nostalgic dining experience, Spangles is a regional fast-food gem that captures an old-school vibe while serving up delicious burgers, sandwiches, and fries. Their breakfast items are perfect for early risers, and don’t miss out on their tasty ice cream treats! The Western burger has garnered rave reviews for its flavor, making it a must-try. Plus, you can enjoy affordable margaritas that add to the fun atmosphere.
This place has a cool old school feel, and the western burger is fire. The margaritas are good and cheap. I’d recommend this place. I eat here 2 a month

Half price steak burger night was decent. Dine in experience no frills. Drive thru was packed as we were leaving and a handful of customers who were inside dining and visiting. Floors, bathrooms and counters were all clean also having an employee walking around picking up and cleaning even more than necessary but great job with that. Service was fair and our burgers were quick.
Butch M — Google review
Wanted something different than what's offered in my home town. We chose this Spangles! Poor decision. I ordered 4 pc tenders and a burger for my daughter and husband, I ordered the mushroom Swiss on sourdough with extra mushrooms. After about an 7 to 8 minute wait in the drive thru we are given our food. Pulled forward to park and eat and be on our way. I get my burger and even the wrapper didn't feel warm. So I opened the burger and touch it, it's ice freaking cold! I go back inside the restaurant to let them know that my sandwich is completely cold there's no heat to it whatsoever. I'm going to assume the lady I talked to was a manager. She came over I told her what was wrong you know and she come just looked at me like she didn't believe me, she opened it touched it herself and holler back guys it is ice cold. Not one time did she apologize. Got my 2 me burger and get out to my vehicle and it's like warm. Will not be returning.

Will never go back to the 30th Ave location. Today waited in the drive through for about 5 minutes, no big deal, it happens. The lady behind me in line was there for maybe 2 minutes, drove around me and went to the window to order. They served her, making me wait longer. I asked about it and the high school dropout at the window just said "ya.." no apology or anything. Will never go back to a place that doesn't respect my time.
Jordan T — Google review
The manager with the long braids kept screaming into the mic calling out orders. We ended up leaving with our food because of how rude and unprofessional she was. Several others that came in all were making complaints and she got into it with one customer. Definitely won’t be coming back till I know she no longer works here. This place needs to do better with their employees because this is unacceptable.
Adrianne S — Google review
I rarely get an appetite for anything, but today I really wanted an egg and cheese sourdough. I arrived around 7:50 to place a drive thru order. Service was great. Got home, mouthwatering, and was severely disappointed. That was the worst sandwich I've ever gotten from Spangles. The bread was obviously old and it was cold. I live 5 minutes from the store. In that amount of time, wrapped well, it should not have been that cold.I'd say it looked like it was put together by a one armed man, but that would be an insult to my son in-law. It will be a VERY LONG TIME before I go back.
Linda R — Google review
Food was good however the place is dirty, bathroom and floors are awful. A worker was seen at the table most likely on break but was using her vape which should not be acceptable. The time was like 4:45 pm. So place was not busy.
Vickie B — Google review
Food was hot and decent. It was clean inside but sorta felt dingy. Service was good and friendly.

Good food. Great ice cream to go along with grilled Chikn sandwich and waffle fries. Nice variety in fruit cup. Park I ng can be tight.

The manager noticed people waiting in line inside, so he came out with his tablet and took our orders. Then ask we needed to do was get our drinks and pay at the register. We didn't get our food immediately, but it was not long. I like that it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp; that they made it after we ordered. We both enjoyed our lunches. Yummy.
Margie B — Google review
Standard facility. This one has a play place. It was super loud! No issues otherwise and our meals were fine. I like the parking lot and drive thru layout. Better than many I've seen.
Tyler D — Google review
Enjoy the food. However, it's frustrating when arriving to a mostly empty drive thru and being stopped by an employee that makes the order process feel rushed. Meanwhile, the other people in the car can't see the tiny menu they present on their tablet.

So we came to Hutchinson to visit family. We ordered 9 separate meals. We had a long pool day and were on our way to the movies. We got home grabbed food and realized they forgot part of our order. Its 10 min away so it added 20 minutes on our day as well as not making our movie. Chris let us know we said 4 sandwiches when it was 3. The truth is we had 9 orders with 7 kids all under 12. The mistake of us was children were saying that. We werent trying to steal anything. The accusation and him giving us food and saying what else do you want from this. We gave you what you paid for. I said yes that was my expectation when i came through the first time. I NEVER had an issue with them. We are on a time crunch. We should have just ordered pizza. That sounds like a safer option for the foreseeable future. The lack of empathy and accountability. He said sure just handle it with your credit card company. We dont want a refund..at all. We just didnt want our plans dismissed and our kids hungry. Chris was super smiley which felt condescending.
Hilary S — Google review
This is the second time recently that Chick-fil-A has messed up my order. First world problem, I know. I specified certain ingredients on my salad, but they were not on there, and other items that I did not order were in there. In the end, I paid for things I did not get.

Always amazing! Chick-Fil-A never disappoints! So amazing, I love how much they support other organizations and their Christian foundation! Food was delicious, I had an original chicken sandwich, fries, and a peach shake! People always friendly. 💚

Went through the drive-through at lunch at a market place salad. It was rotten. Went back in line to get a refund money was refunded but no apologies or offered anything for my time will not go back. It’s not the first time I’ve had a rotten wilted salad.
