Lookouts
Okemo Mountain Resort is a well-known ski destination located in Ludlow, Vermont. It offers ample skiing terrain and modern amenities, making it a popular choice for families. The resort is praised for its snow quality, groomed terrain, family programs, and friendly service. Additionally, the area surrounding the resort provides outdoor adventure opportunities for every season and features a vibrant downtown with an exciting restaurant scene. The mountain is beginner-friendly with progression terrain parks and multiple bunny hills.
We went to Okemo during Christmas break and really enjoyed skiing at the resort. The long runs are awesome. Plenty of trails for beginners and intermediate-level skiers. Good resort for little rippers to have lots of fun. My 5-year-old daughter had a blast. It can get very cold though; so make sure to take proper layers, face masks, very warm gloves and hand warmers.

Nice view, lift ticket was over priced for one ride up and one rode down. Drinks at the top were ridiculously expensive a small Gatorade cost almost 8 dollars. Staff was nice but wont be back.
C P — Google review
I really enjoy the mountain and would be more 3.5 stars. The problem is anytime you need to talk to someone at the resort you can’t. Some call center answers and they never know what’s going on here. It has to be o out of 4 times calling and having no one know the answers to basic questions as such as are the lifts open for scenic tours.
Nick T — Google review
I’m an avid skier ski who likes to go fast and hard all day long whenever I get the opportunity. I don’t really go looking for a resort or any of the comfortable amenities. I’m really just looking for good slopes, and Okemo has them in spades. Even late spring skiing is fantastic. A nice perk is the 6-person high-speed chair lifts with wind bubbles.

The ski school staff are really amazing. Well organized, great teachers, and took care of our kids wonderfully. The equipment rental staff is also top notch! Excellent attitudes and very helpful. Bartenders were great, and definitely get the French onion soup!

We went on the Alpine Coaster and LOVED IT!! The outdoor activities were reasonably priced and super kid friendly. We totally recommend a day trip!
Rose H — Google review
The day I went was warm so the snow was slushy my ski got caught and I twisted my knee. I'm a shy person and I do not like attention but my brother told my we should get ski patrol for help. Ski patrol was pleasant but I don't think they had much experience. I had fallen at the bottom of a short but steep hill when two ski patrol guys showed up. One went to either get a sled or snowmobile and the other guys asked us if we could climb up to him. I could barely walk but I already felt stupid so my sister and I did our best to climb up the hill. My sister was carrying both our skis and I carried the poles. The guy finally asked us if we needed help carrying anything when we were almost at the top. He felt my leg and wondered if I had popped it out of joint. All I knew was that my knee hurt if I stretched or bent it, and I felt like my knee would buckle if I put weight on it. The guys wanted to see if I could ski on it and I did ok. He told me how to get to the lodge on a green circle but I would have to take a blue square to get there first. He said he would follow us down, but I guess he did not mean all the way because after the end of the blue square he skied off somewhere else. I'm not sure what happened to the guy with the snowmobile. I could only stop on one leg the whole way down, it wasn't easy, but since ski patrol seemed to think I was ok I thought I was over thinking it. It was a very long trail. The worst part was that we were staying over night with friends to ski the next day and I had to wait in the lodge the entire day. This was in March of 2025 and this is now May of the same year. I am into three weeks after surgery on my knee. I completely tore my ACL and it will be a six months to a year to recover. Right now I am in a full leg brace. I truly think the ski patrol should be more careful. This could have been much worse. I normally do not leave bad reviews, but I hope they read this review and are more cautious.

Our instructor, Bruce, is the best guy around. He gave my family the best experience we've ever had learning to ski. He's respectful and positive, and had great advice. As far as the cafeteria, the food selection is pretty good. Our son has food allergies, and we were able to get the burrito with slow-cooked beef without the tortilla. It was great! And the staff was very good, even though they were pretty busy.

Modest inn set in a ski resort with dining, mini-golf & ice skating, as well as pools & a sauna.
Murphy bed in room was not as comfortable as a regular bed. One night we had to run the cold water for 5 minutes because it came out scalding hot. The mountain coaster and snow tubing were great and very convenient but the magic carpet lift for the snow tubing was combined use with skiers and only went 90% of the way forcing users to walk uphill the rest of the way.

I can’t say anything about the quality of the facilities because we never made it to the place. I can say the service was awful. We booked a week long ski trip through the Epic app 6 months in advance to ensure we got a good rate & location. Unfortunately the weekend before we had a sudden unexpected death in the family. In the many years I’ve been taking ski trips to Okemo I’ve had very pleasant experiences. This experience will end my journey with Okemo & Vail/Epic. A little consideration could have gone a long way. I paid for our stay in full prior to our trip. The resort wasn’t willing to offer a partial refund, or discount on a future stay. The staff was willing to apologize for a policy from Vail Resorts that they didn’t agree with. I will no longer be visiting Vail properties.
Levi C — Google review
We were very disappointed with our stay. For the price, we expected a clean, safe, and well-run hotel, but instead we found hair in the shower, dust everywhere, stains on the towels, trash and hangers left from previous guests, and even a dead bug inside a picture frame. Housekeeping never came by once during our stay. The room itself felt unsafe — every side table was broken and unstable, which was especially concerning since we had five children with us, two under two years old. We also couldn’t get ahold of the front desk when we needed help, and after a fall at the pool house we couldn’t even get an ice pack. On top of that, the advertised amenities were very expensive, and while we were told NH residents get a discount, it was only applied to the adults and not the kids, which felt misleading. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations in terms of cleanliness, safety, and service. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families.
Ashley S — Google review
This hotel was great for our family. So close to the learning areas and has a pool, hot tubs, and arcade. Guests have access to an indoor heated garage under the hotel. We had a kitchen in our one bedroom suite which was well equipped for a short stay. There's even a complementary espresso machine on the main floor. The only downside is the noise at night from snowmaking. Bring earplugs or ask to be in a room facing away from the mountain if you're sensitive to machinery noise. Otherwise, we did not hear any noise from other guests.
Marie W — Google review
Third year in a row that we take a two-bedroom suite (not cheap) for a week. Third year in a row that our room faces the parking lot and not the mountain. With added bonus for the year: (i) master bedroom' s headboard against the elevator vibrating anytime it goes, (ii) parking lot right under our room with vibrating from mechanical door and cars all day long, (iii) entrance of the first floor with everyone in snow boots passing us. We called to complain a bit. Not necessarily that we don't deserve such a bad room, but nothing this is the 3rd year in a row we get shafted. No possibility to change tonight, no offer to a discount, etc. but "we will call you for sure with an update in 2 days to see where we can move you". Do you think they called? No... By the way -- fireplace not working, outlets not working, wifi not working for a full day, etc. Average location for skiing -- that we knew. Terrible amenities and service. If you go, make it a big deal to call in advance and specify your room a bit. Because if you are just a quiet customer you will get shafted.
Denis G — Google review
Went in the off season, mid October and stayed for couple of nights. My room was good and super friendly staff. Nature was beautiful. The breakfast was a disappointment, bread and coffee but this was off-season, so I understand, the muffins were good though! Definitely would go there again, this time for skiing.

Despite the torrential thunderstorms that shortened Karina Rykman's set, she still got to perform with the knockout Divided Sky Foundation All Stars in the Round House for the die-hard donors. Soule Monde, Sun Ra's Arkestra managed to play full sets on the outdoor stage to a very colorful (and sober) crowd first. Anders Osborne, Daniel Donato, Natalie Cressman, Russ Lawton, and Ray Pazcowski, with Karina, put together a very satisfying set to close out Music On The Mountain. I'm looking forward to next year's benefit at Jackson Gore/ Okemo!
Brian T — Google review
There were a lot of things closed, ice skating, tubing, mountain coaster. And due to low activity, they closed some of the lifts, which made it difficult getting across the mountain. God forbid you have to call customer service. It is a Vail resort and customer service is outsourced and impossible to get a resolution to any issues you you may have.

Coleman Brook Tavern is a laid-back establishment that serves traditional American cuisine and boasts an extensive selection of wines. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it suitable for families, while their menu offers a wide range of dishes that are sure to please every palate. Although there have been some negative reviews circulating, my recent visit with my two teenage sons proved to be exceptional. Our server, Kevin, provided excellent service, and the food we ordered received a commendable rating of 9.
Yes, it was a little pricey. It was so good though! Every single thing was delicious! Salad with beets and fresh lettuce…poutine! I don’t know if it was “traditional” poutine but it was so good! French onion soup delish. Salmon with huge asparagus spears and a yummy risotto. Then the beef short ribs - I’m telling you I hate fat and this was so good, no fat. I’m writing this bc the reviews were so iffy but this was a delicious meal and the server was so sweet. I had the margarita…stunning. So good, go here.

My wife just left a positive review, but I also feel the need to do the same just to offset at least the last awful review somebody left because I honestly feel like she had a rock in her ski boot or something. We ate here for dinner out of convenience since we were staying at the hotel. I was not expecting it to be very good. The French onion soup is made in house and is extremely flavorful, packed with onions and cheese. We ordered a warm beet salad that had multiple huge chunks of beets that were perfectly cooked, house pickled onions and a delicious house made dressing, also not skimping on goat cheese. We also order the poutine(and again on our second visit the next night). The poutine was made with house cut potato slices that were perfectly fried and absolutely covered in melty string cheese and gravy. Now, the gravy was not house made but it WAS great, so salty and beefy. It’s the perfect rib-sticking hearty dish to have after day of skiing. Entrees for both nights included salmon, beef shorts ribs and the signature Coleman burger. I don’t know if they have a 1st string chef for the weekends, but the guy cooking mid-week sure as hell knows how to cook. Salmon was perfect both nights. Risotto was perfect both nights. Short rib and burger cooked perfect. Service and staff were very nice and helpful. Oh! And the friggen cocktails were great too, which really surprised me.

We came here for our anniversary and enjoyed an amazing dinner and bottle of wine for their Monday special Italian night. Callie was the nicest server and provided 5 star service. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience 🥰🥰

Great service, excellent food and among many other things, their tomato soup is made in house and is really phenomenal.

Worst food ever for any price, and it was way overpriced to boot. Do NOT get the French Onion Soup (had no idea that could be screwed up but its flavorless), the cheese plate (random selection of crappy, not at all fancy cheeses), the shrimp cocktail (bad texture on the shrimp, overly horseradishy cocktail sauce), or the hot chocolate (definitely from the machine down the hallway).
Lisa M — Google review
Absolutely terrible overpriced food ..would not step food in this place ever again. The only thing good about our meal was our server ..Chester was Great! The food ..not at all. My son and husband had the overpriced filet ..it was about maybe a 3 ounce cut on a bed of truffle fries ..what a strange presentation and it was $42.00..overall it was just not good

Came on Dec 24. Had an amazing server named Dayton, absolutely DELICIOUS food, and a very cozy environment. I got the mushroom risotto and my partner got the Guinness short rib, we got some drinks and salted caramel ice cream. WOW!

Nestled in the heart of ski country, The Loft Tavern embodies the quintessential après-ski experience. With its rustic mountain charm and a lively atmosphere filled with fellow skiers donning their boots, this tavern is always buzzing. Be prepared to arrive early on weekends, as seating can be quite competitive—aim for around 3 PM to snag a spot!
GREAT BAR!! Finished a day of skiing and had a few cocktails after a great day!! Bartender are on point, friendly and witty with a touch or sarcasm… exactly as it should be at a mountainside ski bar! Ribs were great.. a little too soft for me but they had great flavor, love the hand cut fries soaking up all the juices.. a bit too much celery salt in the slaw but tasty & fresh!! Tenders were huge and well seasoned, great cook & great crunch! Perfect after ski snacks!!

This place was a nice stop and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The bbq was tasty but was a little overcooked. Also had the shrimp though and they were huge! Great value in the portion size of the meals. Forest Gump would've been proud. Drinks were amazing. We'll definitely be back.
Chris G — Google review
Spotted this tavern on our way and stopped in . Looking at the Google review of 4.8 stars we surely knew this one was good . It’s almost hidden and surely a hidden gem. They had seating inside and outside ! Inside felt a bit rustic and old age time . Loved the interiors . Lots of seats outside too. Service could be better . We were sitting for 5-8 mins for someone to attend us and give a beer . Looks like the same waitress was going outside and also serving inside . Wish they had dedicated bartenders . Food was great though .. not so pricey .. rightly priced . We got hummus and it was sumptuous . Lots of veggies and pita bread slices to eat with hummus. Hummus was fresh and tasted good . Good experience overall . Parking was available outside . 4 stars !

The Loft Tavern has a really cool vibe - it's like a cozy cabin meets a lively ski lodge. They have good barbecue, along with classic tavern food and a good variety of beers on tap. In our experience, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable, especially considering it's right by the ski resort.

The Loft Tavern is a hidden gem! I stopped in recently and was blown away by how good the food was—especially the pulled pork nachos. The pork was perfectly smoked, tender, and flavorful, with just the right amount of BBQ sauce layered over fresh, crispy chips. Easily the best nachos I’ve had in a long time. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly—they made the whole experience even better. They never meet a stranger!!! If you’re in the area, don’t miss this spot. Great food, great people, and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
Paula B — Google review
There's only one thing I can say that's disappointing and it's the long wait times for food and drinks, if you're not at the bar. Everything we've had there was always delicious, full of flavor and hot. It's cooked to order of course, but it takes a lot longer than other restaurants for food. Of course they're busy, but even then... I've never had a bad server, bad bartender, bad food. There is plenty of parking and it's a pretty cool environment. It's called the loft for a reason. One of my favorite places to eat in Ludlow and is 100 times better than Off the Rails or Killarneys for good. Always try to find some time to eat at the Loft, even with the wait, you won't be disappointed.

Fries were served cold, bbq tasted like absolute NOTHING. Burger was good though. I’ll feed the bbq brisket to my dog later tonight.

Restaurant
The Downtown Grocery is a upscale eatery in Ludlow that specializes in elevated cuisine from the Southern region. They prioritize using locally sourced ingredients to create their unique dishes. The restaurant offers a relaxed and welcoming ambiance, making diners feel at home. The menu features a changing seasonal selection, ensuring fresh and delicious options for patrons. A standout dish is the dozen oysters, which are accompanied by generous chef's gifts like risotto balls and homemade hummus with pita bread.
Above all expectation! I couldn't imagine the casual fine dining with this great experience. We arrived 30 mins before close and so lucky to get the table at the bar.

Lovely intimate and cozy dining experience. Excellent fine dining experience, Abby was very knowledgeable about the wines and menu with excellent recommendations. We really enjoyed our appetizers (garlicy chili gulf shrimp, house made gnocchi), main entrees (grilled beef sirloin, prosciutto wrapped monkfish, house made tagliatelle), and desserts (homemade Earl Gary ice cream, incredible maple creme brûlée). We loved spending time chatting and enjoying the nice slower Ludlow spring pace (vs the bustling ski season). We will be back and thank you again for having us!

This place was really spectacular. The food was impeccable, our waitress (one of husband and wife team owners) was so knowledgeable and her enthusiasm was contagious. Excellent selection of cocktails and wines. Now, this is a whole evening experience which may infuriate some Americans who are used to been hustled in and out of a restaurant but it was perfectly paced for me. Took about 3.5 hours. Don’t skip dessert!
Mark M — Google review
Finally was able to get a reservation! Exceeded all our expectations. The food and drinks were imaginative and so fresh. Corn soup with lobster was divine. Eggplant arancini had all the right flavors and textures.. libations were inventive and delicious. I will dream about The Jubilee for years to come. Tomato leaf pesto? Yes please! Suggested wine pairings were a great way to explore outside our comfort zone and try new and delicious varietals. Then there is the atmosphere and service. Cozy, quaint and left feeling like we had been good friends forever. Abby paints a glorious picture of every offering. 3 hours of relaxed conversation and time to savor each course. If you want fast food and service, this is not your place- for us that’s a good thing.I can’t wait to go back!! We get to eat at a lot of very nice places all over the world, but this hit special in a way few places can. Top 5 all time for me.(not great at capturing the food but trust me. Amazing!)

Absolutely outstanding! Abby is wonderful and we really enjoyed our conversation with her. And Rogan definitely knows how to cook - the food was so so good. It’s a lovely restaurant, a great atmosphere and I love how the two of them run their business. We had an amazing evening and would always come back :)

The atmosphere of the restaurant was superb! Abby was extremely welcoming and obviously very passionate about their menu. We really loved the homey feel of the restaurant. We started with a dozen oysters ($40), which was also the highlight of the meal. Accompanied with a lot of gifts from the chef, such as a risotto ball and fresh made hummus and pita, we left stuffed after our entree of jumbo shrimp. We didn’t know about the changing seasonal menu but the food was still delicious. A definite must try in Ludlow!

Be sure to make a reservation! Visited on a Friday night with a party of 4- we made our reservation about a week in advance and got one of the last tables at 6:00. Had “the Dude” cocktail which was delicious and unique. I had the burger - very good! The wait staff was the best part of the experience. Highly knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Definitely check them out if you can!

State Parks
Camp Plymouth State Park, located on the site of a former gold-rush settlement, is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The park offers a range of recreational facilities and activities from May through September each year. Visitors can relax and unwind while enjoying amenities such as canoeing, kayaking, swimming, easy hiking trails, picnic areas, and a snack bar. Families with children will find it perfect for a day out without detailed plans.
Really lovely park. A little something for everyone. There are boat rentals, a playground, concessions with snacks and ice creams, a hiking trail, a beach, pavilions available to rent for events, places to picnic and BBQ. If you've got a group they have a group camping area or cottage rentals if you're lucky enough to snag one. Close to town and decent cell coverage.
Jacqueline S — Google review
We love Camp Plymouth. It’s a beautiful park with large grassy areas and a great picnic area by the lake. It’s a like bit of a walk from the parking lot to the lake. We’ve been coming here for 30 years and this year the complimentary carts have become a REAL ISSUE. The sign on the cart and where you pick them says to RETURN THE CART SO OTHERS CAN USE THEM. But this year people aren’t doing it and the park isn’t doing anything to enforce it. In past years the park personnel would come down and ask people to return them. I come to the park 1-2 time a week and have never seen them try. My husband & I are in our 70’s and it’s important for us to have a cart to bring our stuff to down by the lake. We always return our cart as soon as we unload it. If we can make the trip back and forth so can others.

Gorgeous park with absolutely beautiful beach. Emerald clear water and mirror reflection of the trees. We come here yearly in October and it is quiet and peaceful.

This park charges a nominal fee for beach access and parking. While the beach area is not the most amazing beach area you will ever see, it offers a pleasant and tranquil area to enjoy a water view

My friends and I have camped at Camp Plymouth for the past three years. Best place to camp in Vermont. The bathrooms are really well kept, there’s a clean water spicket, and a lovely trail walk to the lake. We adore this place every time we go.

Beautiful lake. The state park is a small area that provides public access to the lake so that is great, but just understand it’s not a big place. There is a beach, a very nice grassy area with tables and grills, a put-in for car top boats, a small fishing doc and a concession stand. I haven’t been to other state parks in Vermont yet but my sense from the map is that the ones by lakes are similar. Kudos to VT for making sure that the public has a way to use these lakes.

Loved this place for the longest time, have spent more money here than I can count, so it’s a shame they’ve decided to put their politics on display right by the register. This is the third time I’ve been here with this stuff out, was hoping it was a fluke, but apparently not. I really don’t understand what goes through these people’s minds when it comes to alienating a large portion of their customers. I guess I’ll get my maple fix somewhere else from now on.

If you can get a tour of the sugar house, do it. It's fascinating -- at least, it was for me. And of course, the shop has lots of enticing goodies, including, obviously, their syrups. Their maple "creemee" soft serve ice cream is delicious.

Super cute stop! Most amazing maple crème and the gift shop had something for everyone. Very kind staff <3

Stopped by here for soft serve. It was very popular and had long lines. There were two lines and both lines were good for soft serve. There’s a lake with chairs next to the shop were you can sit and enjoy the scenery with your soft serve. The soft serve was delicious and has a nice maple syrup flavor.

This is a little store at a great photo location. We caught the morning lake fog hugging the water in bright sunshine making the colors pop in the surrounding trees.

Only gift shop in town, but had exactly what we were looking for in terms of souvenirs for our first time in VT. The woman there was very nice and gave us maple ice cream which was very very good! As we were leaving multiple people were going in for ice-cream so I'm guessing the locals know all about it. A great find in Ludlow.

Fine dining restaurant
Echo Lake Inn is a charming lakeside establishment from the 19th century that offers a dining area, bar, and pub alongside access to canoes and row boats. Originally constructed in 1840 as a summer hotel with Victorian influence, it now stands as one of the few genuine country inns in Vermont that operates throughout the year. Notably, this inn has had notable figures such as President Calvin Coolidge and Henry Ford among its esteemed guests.
We had a fabulous experience at Echo Lake Inn and are already trying to book a return trip. What made our trip so great? Firstly, the room we stayed in was gorgeous. The unit in its entirety was impeccably clean and well appointed, and had every modern convenience yet retained a cottage charm which was warm and welcoming for our family of four. The kids slept on the beautiful pristine pull out couches in the living room near the fire place. The master bedroom bed was super comfortable and the large nightstands beside the bed had me wishing for the same luxury in our own home. The entry way with the double doors was the perfect place to take off boots and coats and keep the place tidy, organized, and dry. And the kitchen was charming, gorgeous, and practical. But outside our room, there was so much more to see at the inn! We absolutely loved the main building. Downstairs the kids enjoyed the playroom with the darts, pool, and board games. And every night after dinner, the grownups would find their way to the intimate pub with multiple leather couches that invited guests to come and connect and chat about the days on the slopes and everything else. Breakfast was truly a highlight and not to be missed. I ordered the Lily scramble with an English muffin every day because it was just that good. Accompanied by tea, juice, and bacon, it was a fabulous breakfast. My kids enjoyed hot cider, hot chocolate, blueberry pancakes, French toast, and sausage, all delicious! We also loved our dinners there and are looking forward to more on our return. Our experience couldn’t have been what it was without the staff that was truly welcoming, professional, and on point. They made you feel relaxed and at home and the place in its entirety was clean and organized. Bravo to the entire team. We can’t wait to return! Thank you.

We had our wedding at the Echo Lake Inn and it could not have been more perfect. Rachel and Jacquelyn, the innkeepers, were absolute rockstars all weekend. They went above and beyond to set everything up beautifully and make sure the day went smoothly. When we needed a rain plan, they took my vision and made it work so that we could still have the ceremony under umbrellas while keeping our guests comfortably under tents—it was exactly what I had hoped for. Having our friends and family stay right at the inn made the whole weekend feel so special and intimate. We also loved being able to host our welcome party on site the night before—it was seamless, easy, and such a great way to kick off the celebrations. On top of it all, the food was 10/10 all weekend—every meal was fantastic and our guests are still talking about it. I truly could not have asked for a better experience or a more beautiful venue. If you’re looking for a place where the setting, service, and overall atmosphere come together perfectly, the Echo Lake Inn is it.

Good location, close to Okemo. Super nice staff all around. Very comfortable, stayed in their carriage house. Neat and clean. Terrific breakfast and coffee for getting the day started with skiing. Really appreciated the waitstaff - friendly, attentive, and efficient.

Tom and his staff at Echo Lake Inn are truly exceptional. During our search for wedding venues, we had the pleasure of visiting this charming establishment. Tom, the inn caretaker, was an outstanding host who went above and beyond to assist us. His warm hospitality, combined with his willingness to answer all our questions and provide valuable guidance, made our experience memorable. Although we ultimately chose a different venue due to logistical reasons related to where the bulk of our guests would be traveling in from, we were thoroughly impressed with Echo Lake Inn. Tom's professionalism and the inn's charm left us wishing we could have hosted our wedding there. If you're considering a venue for your wedding, we highly recommend giving Echo Lake Inn serious consideration.

My wife and I were guests of the Echo Lake Inn for Columbus Day Weekend and had no expectations. We were overwhelmed by the charm of the Inn, the grounds, the help. Gorgeous location too. Wonderful gourmet dinners and farm to table breakfast. Really a wonderful visit. Highly recommend.

I got married at the Echo Lake in on 9/21/2024 and it was truly a perfect weekend! We hosted 120 guests, and almost everyone was able to stay at the Inn. Each room is so unique, different, and clean, and could accommodate different configurations with the condos, apartments, and regular hotel rooms. The amenities were also amazing, and our guests were so impressed by the amount of activities on the property. There is tennis, a swimming pool and hot tub, yard games such as corn hole and croquet, and the lake across the street with kayaks and paddle boards. All of the food was delicious, especially the included breakfast. Having drinks in the cozy living room or down in the cellar with the pool table, darts, and other games is a great bonus! Tom and the staff are so helpful and attentive. Everything you need is at the Inn, but if you want to visit downtown Ludlow or Okemo, its only 7 minutes away. I highly recommend staying or (getting married) at this unique and historic Inn!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Echo Lake Inn. The owner (Tom) and his staff are top notch. It was a highlight for us Nebraskans on our New England fall colors drive. They provide the seldom found hospitality and friendliness of a past era. Great food & drink also!
Jim O — Google review
We had another wonderful experience staying at the Echo Lake Inn. It is filled with the charm of a small old New England Inn and has wonderful warm and welcoming staff, who are very accommodating to your needs. The location is perfect for activities during all the seasons, though we tend to go there in the Fall for leaf peeping and in the Winter for snowmobiling and Skiing. There is an outdoor pool on the property and a lake right next door for those traveling during the warmer months. I absolutely love that there is a large and inviting sitting area and bar room on the main floor right next to their restaurant, as well as a game room downstairs with a pool table and darts amongst other games. I also love that a wonderful breakfast each morning is included with your stay in their restaurant and the dinner in there is fabulous. The chefs do amazing work, the French onion soup, the Angus ribeye steak with delicious potatoes and vegetables and the cheesecake were amongst the best I have ever had. The service at the restaurant was great and our Cosmo and Chocolate martinis were excellent. We will definitely be back!

Went here for a 30 person dinner for our small wedding, expectations and experience were exceeded. Staff was very friendly, the entire process from initial consultation to the day of was smooth and they answered all questions we had. It was in The Gold Room, which had plenty of room and atmosphere for what we were looking for. We were able to go out on the grounds to get additional photos with a golf cart they provided and the views of the mountain were stunning. Would highly recommend it as a place to go if you're having a similar event in the area.

We had our reception dinner for our micro wedding of about 30 people in the Gold Room. Sherry and the staff exceeded our expectations. Sherry was readily available for phone calls to answer any questions or concerns I had during the planning process. The room was decorated beautifully & the food was delicious. They also arranged a golf cart for us to take us around and get sunset photos around the property. The day was absolutely perfect and we leave our highest recommendations to anyone looking to host an event big or small.

I recently visited Calcutta's, located on the property of the Fox Run Golf Resort at 87 Fox Ln Ext, Ludlow, VT 05149. This restaurant boasts a wide variety of menu options that will satisfy everyone in your party. Also, the view of the golf course and patio seating make for excellent ambiance. Here's a rundown of our meal: 🌮 **Poke Nachos**: We started with these delightful nachos. The wonton chips were incredibly satisfying to eat—a great appetizer to share! 9/10 🍊 **Orange Cauliflower with Wild Rice**: This dish was so delicious that it was hard to believe it was cauliflower. It looked like a Chinese chicken dish! Anything that makes vegetables this enjoyable is a win in my book. 9/10 🍜 **Pork Ramen**: This new menu item had great flavor and wasn't too salty. The pork was cooked perfectly. While I'm not a ramen expert, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 9/10 🍗 **Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Frank's Red Hot Sauce and Cole Slaw**: The cole slaw complemented the sandwich perfectly. This was my favorite dish of the night! 10/10 🍋 **Chicken Milanese**: This chicken was cooked to perfection, and the lemon salad paired beautifully with it. 10/10 🥗 **Roasted Beet Salad**: The mesclun greens, roasted beets, and pistachios made for a delicious combination. The roasted beets were huge and so flavorful! 9/10 🍝 **Orecchiette Pasta with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe**: The pasta was tasty but a bit oily. Nonetheless, it was still really enjoyable. 7/10 Overall, the food at Calcutta's is impressive! Here are my ratings: - **Food**: 9/10 - **Affordability**: 7/10 - **Ambiance**: 8/10

Dined at this fantastic restaurant where I had the pleasure of trying their delicious salmon dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a succulent and flaky texture that melted in my mouth. The accompanying vegetables were also perfectly cooked, adding a nice balance of flavors to the dish. We also tried the delicious Brussels sprouts and the Vegan which was delicious. To top it all off, I tried one of their signature cocktails and was thoroughly impressed. The mix of flavors was expertly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal, particularly if you're a fan of salmon. The service was also top-notch, with the waitstaff being attentive and friendly throughout my meal.

It’s a high end eatery. Nice place to have lunch or dinner with family or friends. We ordered fish and chips and fish with sweet potatoes. And Everything about tuna. Tuna was excellent with taste. Never had so good tuna before but very disappointed with fish and chip and fish and sweet potatoes. Fish was cod but it was served with thick layer of crumbs coating with a thin slice of cod inside.Instead of sweet potatoes we were served with plain potato chips.it was waste of money. Don’t ever order Fish unless you are happy eating 1/2 inch thick crumbs coating.

I was invited to tag along to a show this weekend, and this was the first stop. It was a very disappointing venue as the person in charge was very rude. The first day, I ended up leaving to find other things to do, and today, I was determined to accomplish my food goals. However, again, I was met with the same rudeness. I tried the portobello burger with fries. It wasn't as good as I expected with the price. The feta was too thick, and I found the sauce too heavy, making it too sweet. The fries were overly salty. The plate while cute was unwiped. I was a paying guest who was treated with distain for attending with the entertainment. Pretty disappointed.

Sam's Steakhouse is a charming and inviting dining establishment that offers a rustic yet tastefully decorated dining room. It specializes in serving delectable steaks, fresh seafood, and an assortment of salad options. The restaurant is well-known for its signature dry-aged steaks, which are carefully aged in a climate-controlled meat locker for 21-28 days. In addition to their mouthwatering steak selection, Sam's also provides a variety of local favorites and an extensive digestif menu.
The food is amazing. The salad buffet is very good. We waited until they opened and it was worth it. We had such a good time here. The steak was so tender.

Will be a great place with a bit more attention to detail. The wine list is decent but states the wrong vintages. Ordered a bottle of Stag's Leap Artemis - marked as 2013/14 vintage. Turned out to be a 2016. Suggestion to the owner: Either update the list or encourage customers to inquire. Any wine connoisseur will appreciate this much more than the disappointment of finding out that his favorite selection is being substituted without comment... The medium pork chop arrived overcooked, beyond well done. The strip steak on the othe hand was done perfectly, as were the crab legs. Likewise the creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms were on par with the best NYC steakhouse. What made this a delightful evening after all was the service: Mary quickly rectified everything in a quiet, most friendly and competent manner. My take : Sam's is a restaurant on the upswing and well worth a visit. From the moment we arrived my wife and I felt welcome and appreciated as customers - after all that's the most important foundation for a successful establishment. Everything else can (and I am sure it will) be worked out in good time. We will return.

Food was great but small for the price. And they charge 3% for employees that don't get tips so they can have a fare wage.. there prices for the food should get that done.. 1 person will cost upwards of $80 for dinner.

Visited Sam's for our wedding anniversary on a recommendation from our AirBNB hosts. The clam chowder was probably the best I have ever had. Ordered the fillet with mashed potatoes and my husband had the same with the addition of scallops. Everything was delicious. We visited during a slow time of year on a Sunday night so it was quiet and we were seated and waited upon promptly. A little disappointed that they were out of the crab cakes but otherwise, a very good experience.

Not happy with The Bait And Switch which occurred. We went online and read the entire menu then went inside and realized all the actual pricing was substantially higher(up to twenty-five percent). I asked Robert, our waiter why this happened as my Fiancé stated it wasn't fair and I stated it was bait and switch. Robert replied "I've heard this before and I'm on your side but it's what the owner wants." Robert then stated we were looking at the Summer Menu online We found out that our waiter was NOT on our side when Melanie complained that her Salmon tasted too oily and like butter and Robert merely walked away without offering another piece of Salmon, nor a discount or even a free dessert. But wait, there's more...see attached photo of the rhetoric that is an additional 3% charge, fee, "customer pays more to make up for a terrible owner who doesn't appreciate the people who help the business (OWNER) make money." Why should customers pay this when, (We'll call him SAM), is the one who needs to pay his Back Of House staff a fair wage? Robert, you need to take care of the patrons and not patronize. You had no desire or ability to satisfy your customers. Rhetoric forced me to diminish your tip by 3% and more and I generally tip 22%. We will not return despite me enjoying my steak and potato.

The Wine & Cheese Depot is a specialty shop located in southern Vermont, offering an extensive selection of over 500 wines from around the world, including international and Vermont labels. In addition to their wide variety of wines, they also feature locally produced cheeses and beer from Vermont microbreweries. The owner, Leslie, has carefully curated the collection to include wines from multigenerational and environmentally friendly vineyards at attractive prices.
We were looking for a "cheese place" to help us build charcuterie boards with local cheeses for our son's wedding. This was the perfect place! The staff was very knowledgeable about cheese and guided us to exactly what we needed, including an amazing cave-aged cheddar. They also sold us salami-shaped fig rolls that were perfect for our vegan preferences. The boards were the hit of the wedding, thanks to Wine and Cheese Depot!

I was in Ludlow and went to the Wine and Cheese Depot and was served by Leslie. She was very accommodating and helped me purchased an incredible cheese that I had never tasted before. Another customer was raving about it and purchased it. I asked if I could purchase some too and Leslie was kind enough to give me a sample and wow, yes, it is fantastic. The Piave cheese is extraordinary! You must try it! I also purchased a local Plymouth, Vermont cheddar cheese, the Original as well as the Hunter, and look forward to enjoying them soon with some good crackers and wine. Thank you Leslie, for a great experience. I will definitely be back again!

So glad we stopped by. Leslie was so helpful and informative. Great shop with a nice selection of wine and cheese. We will be back again!
Bobby P — Google review
If you are seeking wine, anywhere in southern Vermont, this is the place to go. You will find no more wonderful selection of wines from all over the world — not industrial wines, but instead the best, from multigenerational and environmentally friendly vineyards spanning the globe — these have been sought and selected by Leslie and they are offered at attractive prices. Do you want guidance, too? Just ask! You will also find Vermont wines here, and local beers, ales and ciders. Next, there is the cheese section! Again, the array of Vermont and international cheeses is exceptional — and there is help selecting: when I visited, Eli first described and recommended some cheeses for me to try, and then I was able to watch him carefully slice sections from two previously uncut wheels — one from northern Vermont, and the other a Bucheron (a cakey French goat cheese) — all the while explaining the cheeses and their creation as he did so. His recommendations: delicious! You will not find excellent cheeses like these at a grocery. The store also carries crackers and spreads to accompany your purchases. All in all, a wonderful place to visit!

I went to this store while I was in Ludlow visiting family and skiing. WOW, what an experience, many different cool intricate options to choose from. I picked up a bracelet for a birthday present among a few other items. Well I got the wrong size and live in Maryland - I called Steve and he told me to send it up to him and he resized it for us to the size needed, how awesome. Great experience and looking forward to coming back again. & grab some of those maple candies too - wow those are good.

I can't wait to go back!!! So many great gifts, knickknacks, and much much more! The owner was very kind and friendly. Highly recommend stropping here if you are looking for just that something special to add to your home as a memento from your stay in Ludlow, VT.

Great variety and very nice owner. They have lots of silver items as the owner and wife are silversmiths but they represent dozens of New England artists of all sorts and mediums here. Loved this spot and wish there were more like it.

I was absolutely amazed and mesmerized by all the great original art in the store. I bought some very unique fish made out of driftwood for a wall in one of our bedrooms. It just needed "something" and I knew I would know when I saw it. Well, I saw it at The Depot Street Gallery. I also got a goose made out of stone and iron. I need to go back and get some owls. I'll let you go there to see what I'm talking about. Go and check it out!

Farmers' market
Ludlow Farmers Market, Inc. is a vibrant and bustling market that offers a wide variety of products from local vendors. The market has received great support from the community and has become incredibly successful. With an array of offerings such as fresh produce, homemade facial care products, wood-fired pizza, boba tea, and freshly baked sourdough, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The market's new location has contributed to creating a strong sense of community in Ludlow.
The market is BIGGER and BETTER than ever! From boba tea to freshly baked sourdough, it truly has everything you could want at a farmers market. I absolutely love the new location because it creates a new sense of community that makes Ludlow so amazing. Definitely a must do on a Sunday!!

Lovely farmers market on Sundays in downtown Ludlow. Very nice mix of farms, craft and food vendors. There is a no dog rule which I am glad I knew about ahead of time. The dogs are often with me to head out to markets.

Market right in the heart of town brings alot of energy to Main and Depot streets on Sunday mornings. It can get a bit hot later on a sunny morning, but there shady spots nearby.

I love our little farmers market. A nice variety for just a block of activity. Hot and cold prepared foods, stuff to drink, creamies, talented craftspeople, amazing produce, pastries, and several breads that will knock your socks off! We even have live music. Ludlow rocks!
Charlotte G — Google review
This market is NOT our old friendly market... It is cold. It is not welcoming. It is cramped on a narrow street. The market used to be a warm, welcoming environment on the lawn. Music floated under the trees, vendors and guests created relationships, and it was something to look forward to. NOW, I have tried to give this new market a go for a month and will not be back after learning my favorite vendors have also quit going due to management. I hope next year things return to the lawn and our community market makes it way back from whatever this is.

The Ludlow Farmers Market is a beautiful place of happy, joyful people. I am so impressed with the women who have made it what it is this year. They have worked so hard to create a space where Ludlow feels like a bustling and motivated town. From the Ocreemo ice cream coffees to the fresh veggies and the homemade facial care made by Phoebe—All the vendors are amazing and well thought out and varied. All the love to this market!
Rachel F — Google review
As one of the vendors and seeing all of the other vendors put in a tremendous amount of effort for the market this year, it is been incredibly successful and we have had great support from our community! The set up and display is just what we needed in this town and Sunday mornings are just a perfect time
Taigen D — Google review
Liked this market better when it was in the field nearby. Decided to stop on our way out of town - no dogs allowed. They used to allow dogs so that was sad for our pup. And other markets in the area also have this restriction, but at least they are up front about it with signs and notes on the website. Do better guys.

Delicious, large and affordably priced sandwiches. Try the Steak Dip or Vermont Panini. The tomato soup is also delicious. Great spot after skiing at Okemo. The owner is very friendly as well.

Came here on a whim while on vacation with my wife, absolutely amazing! Great sandwiches, great drinks, both alcoholic and regular. First time I've had a real classic cola in a long time. My wife reccomends the Vermont Panini, and I had the "Fabio" sandwich. Both fantastic. Only complaint is that the Fabio had a lot of vinegar, making it quite salty. But overall, great food, great drink, and great atmosphere and vibes. Definitely a hidden gem up here in the green mountain state, and worth stopping by! :)

Johnny’s Kitchen is a great place to grab a bite to eat before or after skiing or visiting Ludlow. The restaurant is 1/2 a block off Route 103 in the center of town. It is clean and unassuming, which is more than made up for by great sandwiches and service. I have been there twice and both time were just what I needed after a day on the slopes. Good food at fair prices, and you don’t have to wait a long time to eat. The steak sandwich is awesome, too! 👍✅💯

It is so clear the folks at Johnny's really care about putting out an exceptional quality sandwich. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality and every aspect was just so well done. I've never been more impressed by a simple grilled cheese. My pickle-hating dining companion was thrilled that they wrap the side pickle to keep to it separate from the sandwich. It's little touches like this that take them above and beyond all other competition. I am very excited to go back and try other menu offerings, as I am very confident they will all be done with the same level of care and expertise.

Great sandwich options, both hot and cold. I had the “Fabio” great flavor and good amount of meat. My partner had the VT panini which was also excellent. Sandwiches come with a bag of chips and a pickle. Service was very friendly. A variety of coffee is also available. Outside and inside seating.

Breakfast restaurant
The Hatchery has been serving classic sweet and savory breakfast dishes, as well as lunch fare, along with cocktails and beer since 1978. They offer a straightforward principle of providing breakfast and midday meals all day long, whether you're craving a burger in the morning or breakfast in the afternoon. The restaurant offers dine-in and takeaway options. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast featuring eggs, pancakes, omelets, French toast, and more at The Hatchery.
Great brunch spot. There was a 30-min waitlist so we shopped at the nearby Depot Street Gallery store that had really unique locally-made artwork, soaps, trinkets etc. The cinnamon French toast was FANTASTIC. The sausage & Vermont apple cheddar omelet was delicious too- perfect balance of sweet & savory. Freshly squeezed OJ was refreshing too.
Tara D — Google review
This might be my new favorite breakfast place. Cilantro omelette (with black beans): Savory, well-filled, a good lime flavor in the beans. Thought I wouldn't enjoy the monotony in texture but the flavor certainly made it worth it (and there was a perfect amount of pico to boot). The pictures don't do it justice. Like a little present. Apple Butter Omelette: Sweet but not too sweet. The eggs themselves were not seasoned in any particular way but were cooked to order and had nice layers. Cinnamon Roll French Toast: You see it in the picture. It's very good, very filling. Pancakes: Fluffy and do not fall apart without a satisfying tear. They also serve with Sugar Bob's which makes it all the better. The marbled rye is to die for. Buttered and well-toasted, has a soft bite to it. Homefries were unique, not our style but very good for folks who like all the parts of their potatoes. Bacon was perfectly cooked, so was the sausage. We are full but not feeling sick at all. Worth it for a trip before a good hike or ski!

Expect a wait. In fact, if you’re going on a Sunday, go in and add your name on the computer, and they will text you when the table is ready. Then go to the tiny Farmers Market on the side street and check things out. If you buy food there, save it for later because you want to save room for the Hatchery. I appreciated the get your own coffee and tea station since the kitchen was so busy, the server said she had to wait to take our order. But food came out fast after that. Outstanding pancakes. However, if you’re going to charge $1.50 for an extra teeny cup of maple syrup, then you should let the customer know there is an extra fee! Side of bacon was three tiny pieces. Other tables had better and bigger pieces. Come on, throw in another piece and keep the customer happy. I was excited to try the home fries on the delicious farm-fresh eggs, but they got a little too fancy with it and added some spice that made them inedible me. Keep it simple please! Server was adroit at the upsell. A little too much for my opinion. Still it was a good price for a nice breakfast.

We have not been in over 15 years and we recently went a few days ago. We went when the food used to be really good and everything was included such as jam, maple syrup, bacon, all the sides was included. But after a few years, the owner at the Hatchery Frank left and him and his wife moved to Montana because his wife was a teacher and she was retiring at some point. When Frank left, the service was a little under par. Frank was great at all that stuff. When we went a few days ago, it was better than I expected. I thought it would be less good, but the food was delicious. The only con is you have to pay extra on the sides like chocolate chips, bacon, etc. They did include the syrup, a little over priced, but not too crazy.

This is the first time I have eaten at this restaraunt...which is open 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am baffled by this establishments use of single use items in a dine-in setting. The waitress was fine if inattentive. The young busboy was extremely attentive. The food, despite being a higher price point, was underwhelming. The has browns or homefries were both over and undercooked. Cooked to the point of mush but no sear or color. What a pity

We visited The Hatchery for breakfast while passing through Ludlow. It's a quaint restaurant that looks small from the outside but actually has plenty of seating inside. We signed in on the iPad at the counter and were seated after a short 15-minute wait. Coffee and drinks are self-serve at the bar. Our order was taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly; however, we didn’t see our waitress again until we asked for the bill, which was a bit disappointing. The bacon was delicious, and the cinnamon roll French toast was a standout! The hashbrowns, on the other hand, were too thick and undercooked for our taste. The portions were generous — plenty for two people — but the final bill came to $68.64 (including tip), which felt a bit pricey for breakfast. That said, I really love their charming wooden menu and would consider returning to try other items.

Homestyle Hotel | Restaurant is a cozy hotel with dorms, rooms, and suites that also features a restaurant and bar. The restaurant is known as one of the top culinary destinations in Okemo Valley, offering communal dining with shared-plates format meals prepared by acclaimed chef Christian Mayo. Originally a hip hostel, it has evolved into a charming hotel and restaurant with a trendy bar called Main + Mountain across the street.
This restaurant is one of my all time favorite restaurants, not just in Vermont, but in the U.S.! I travel quite a bit and am quite picky! Lol-and this restaurant never disappoints! The service, the staff, and the food are absolutely outstanding! 5 stars! From the drinks to the starters, to your main dishes and desserts-everything is expertly crafted, served and prepared, and absolutely delicious! The staff is amazing-shout out to Jessica who was our warm and friendly server last night! And to the incredibly gracious hostess who got us a table in spite of our advanced reservation not going through! The bartenders are second to none! The restaurant itself is warm and inviting and is a true gem. You will not be disappointed! I have “retired” from skiing and my hubby says I only come up here with him to go to Homestyle! Lol (He is correct! :)) Thanks Homestyle for always being amazing!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This review is for the restaurant. We got walk in sitting at the bar for dinner. The drinks and food was alright. The steak and beets dishes were good. The sticky ribs were a bit salty and otherwise lacking flavor and inconsistent in that some were falling off the bone and others were dry and undercooked. The waiter also asked if we needed takeout boxes before our main dish came.

Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. Rolls with dill honey butter, mussels, tomato salad, crispy cauliflower, fettuccine…crème brûlée and chocolate pistachio tart…cocktails and homemade guava lemonade…I’m writing this all down because I want to remember literally everything. Not to sound dramatic but in the car home I almost cried thinking about how incredible it was. Thanks for an amazing evening.

We made a reservation through their third party on line app and they had the day wrong. When trying to call there was a 5 minute recording with no ability to speak to a human being to be sure they had our reservation on the right day. We decided to show up regardless and we were asked did we contact the reservation app. I had the date from them in my phone. After refusing to sit upstairs or outside and offering to go elsewhere they accommodated us at a nice table. Meanwhile it was not busy?? Arrogance- Reeked of "we are popular and busy" so "oh well" The fettuccini for 2 at $44 was tasteless, so we asked for Parmesan and red pepper just to add flavor. The ham in the dish was all fat, literally. The brocollini was just broccoli stems. A big disappointment. We didn't even take the rest home. The heirloom tomato salad had delicious ricotta but if you are featuring tomatoes be sure they are the best. The red tomatoes were mushy and tasteless, the yellow and green just ok. $22?? The 1/2 chicken was tasty but at $40 was no better than a roast organic chiken I could get at Shaw's . We live in Ct and winter in Vt. This restaurant charges NYC prices and would never succeed in Fairfield or NYC. Try to improve.

What happened? The staff is rude, so rude that if feels like when you call to make a reservation they DON'T want you to. Does this place have new management or something? My wife and I tried to make reservations numerous times and both of us had the same experience. We also tried to walk in and get bar seats. The hostess seemed as if she hated her job and in her words, "don't even try to get a seat at the bar, you'll have to wait 2 hours". Find somewhere else to go.

Fantastic pizza spot with a neat-o wood fired oven. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Very disappointed. Came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm to a relatively quiet restaurant for dining in, ordered 2 pizzas, and waited over 50 minutes before our pizzas were ready. After 30 minutes of waiting I went to check in and was told it would be about 10 minutes, but it was still another 20 before our pizzas were ready. I asked them to switch our order to takeout, and nobody even notified us when the pizzas were ready. To top it off one of our pizzas was made wrong and had peppers on top even though we asked for it without. The pizza itself was just okay and fairly pricey, most certainly not worth the wait.

The Healdville Trail offers a magnificent and enchanting hiking experience through misty surroundings after a night of rainfall. The initial 1.5-mile section requires some effort, but the subsequent stretch towards Okemo Peak is delightful as it meanders along the ridge with only a small challenging portion before reaching the summit. For an alternative route back, the Okemo hiking trail known as Moose Track provides a gentle descent with numerous switchbacks, making it highly recommended for uphill travel to the peak.
It's a gorgeous trail, any time of year. If you have the right equipment. An exquisite challenge.
Raymond B — Google review
Great trail. Magical misty walk after an all night rain. The first 1.5 mile is quite a huff, but the 1.5 to Okemo Peak is sweet, rolling along the ridge, with a short huff just before the top. Instead of going back the way I came, I took the Okemo hiking trail, Moose Track, down the ski mountain. It was exceptional. Very gentle with lots of switchbacks. I would suggest that as an alternate uphill to the peak The last .75 to Ludlow village was a killer on the pavement. The first thing I did when I got to town was buy new inserts for my hiking boots! Total hike was 7.6 miles, with about 1,800 vertical feet.
Robert A — Google review
It's a pretty challenging 3-mile uphill trail and then you have to come back. We went with kids and it took us over 5 hours round-trip with stops. The view from the fire tower was definitely worth it.
Nina F — Google review
Great quick hike up to the top of Okemo ski resort. The trail was muddy but not terribly steep. It was a far shorter hike than we anticipated based on the time recommendations we found but that just left more time to play in the nearby Buttermilk Falls!

Worth the view, but definitely not for the weak. It's alot like climbing a staircase, very elevated and very rooted, so bring comfortable shoes.

What a fabulous hike. 3 miles up okemo and then 3 miles back down. There's a lovely fire tower at the top with 5 ish more flights of stairs so you can get great views and pictures if you like. The trail sign says it takes 2.5 hours up and 1.5 down. It took us (two avid walkers) 1.45 up and 2 down. We took it very carefully on the way down and saw some people actually jogging down some parts. We really enjoyed it and I recommend bringing snacks and water. Plenty. Nice little parking area at the trail beginning. GPS says you've arrived a little bit early. Pass the trail inn (not sure exact name) then cross the railroad tracks and voila.

A diverse selection of burgers caught attention with their appealing appearance on neighboring tables. The beverage menu showcased an impressive array of cocktails to choose from.
This was hands down one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had. The beef was Waygu beef - def the way to go! Was just perfectly cooked. Brussels were amazing. All of the sauces were great. The sriracha cheese sauce - wow! Caramelized onions were perfect. Best lunch experience in Okemo!!!

My mother and I were on holiday and visited this location on one of the hottest days this summer. Most other places were closed, but we really needed a great meal. We wanted something simple and I was craving a burger. We noticed that they were the home of the Parmesan fries. Well, I assumed if they had fries they would also have burgers. We went in and the selection of burgers were great and I was very excited to try them all. If only I had enough stomachs. The beer selection was great and included some local beers. The place was packed and although it was crazy they were very accommodating with sitting us where we wanted to sit. It’s very important that a restaurant doesn’t start slacking on their customer service when busy and they clearly understand that. I can’t wait to go back here.

Came here as a recommendation from a lot of locals. Martini was fabulous as was my burger. Shared the parm truffle fries with my family and my aunt had the salmon entree which she loved. What really set this restaurant apart was the customer service. The owner is there hosting and perhaps the most pleasant friendly person I have encountered here yet. Will definitely go back!

Stayed in Windham and had a hard time finding a nice place to eat this was one of the few places open that offered dine-in service. We were a group of 6 and they accommodated us an hour before closing with no problem at all. I ordered the Wagyu burger with cheddar cheese and bacon and it was really delicious. Highly recommend the Parmesan fries they were crispy and perfect. The service was also excellent our waitress was courteous and quick. Only complaint was my friends filet mignon it was cooked to the incorrect temperature and his mashed potatoes weren’t so great. Other than that we had a great experience and would definitely come back for the burger.

Super interesting place to eat, looks like it used to be a house but transformed into a beautiful restaurant and bar amazingly. Parmesan fries were pretty good and Mac and cheese was absolutely fantastic.

Delicious! Our first night in town on vacation and we chose Mr. Darcy's with low expectations, which the food far exceeded. We split a wagyu burger, parmesan truffle fries and the mac and cheese and we left very satisfied. We ate upstairs and the decor was nothing special but the food certainly made up for it. Would definitely recommend for a casual meal.

The Waitress was an absolute delight and is doing the best job. That being said, the food was an absolute nightmare. Charred burger buns, 26$ inedible burgers, and does not come with fries. A “large” side of fries is tiny, although they were the most edible thing on the menu. Would only go back for the absolute sweetheart of a waitress.
