Mysterious Sites
Located in a dense redwood forest, the Mystery Spot has been captivating visitors since its discovery in 1939. This peculiar attraction defies gravity and challenges perception, with people and objects appearing tilted instead of upright. Despite extensive scientific interest, the cause of these strange phenomena remains unknown. The site's mysterious nature has led to various theories, including extraterrestrial influences.
This place was an absolute hit for the family and I! Our tour guide Jim (if that’s even his real name lol) did such a wonderful job! The jokes were top notch and this was second time for two people from our group and they said it was even better than the last time they went! The price for the 45 minute tour was spot on and don’t forget to tip your tour guide! 🤗 This was one of the highlights of our family trip! If you haven’t booked your tour yet and are still on the fence? Don’t think twice!! Go book now 🐌🌱

Fun and unique place to visit! 🌲 Buy tickets online ahead of time (we waited 3½ hours because we didn’t know). No cell service, but we enjoyed a beautiful hike while waiting (watch little ones — steep drop-offs!). Downtown Santa Cruz and the boardwalk are only about 10 minutes away, so you can explore while you wait. Tour was short but our guide Megan was hilarious and made it great. Overall, awesome experience and worth checking out!
Renee — Google review
Finally visited The Mystery Spot after 10 years in the Bay Area and numerous trips to Santa Cruz. First impression: it’s just a dilapidated house - I expected much more from the area than that. But honestly, that’s more than enough. The marketing of this place is on another level. The tour guide’s presentation alone is worth more than the $10 ticket - they put in so much effort, and you really fall for their presentation. Plus, they’re hilarious. Definitely a fun experience. I don’t believe it’s otherworldly; it’s just an optical illusion at its best, presented the right way. Book your tickets online ahead of time - we did, and we were in and out in an hour. Enjoyed the experience.

This place was so cool. It was such an amazing experience. I am very sensitive to everything around me and I really felt an odd feeling whenever I entered into what they call the 'Mystery Spot'. It wasn't just because everything looked cockeyed, but it was literally a feeling in my body. I felt like I was carrying around an additional 50 lb on each of my legs. It was the weirdest feeling. It was really cool how everything in this place seem to defy physics. Our guide was super knowledgeable and made it even more fun just because of her great personality. Highly recommend checking this place out and if you can buying your tickets online beforehand especially if it's going to be during a busy time.

Wow this is definitely a very cool and trippy experience nestled in the beautiful redwoods. There’s a few demonstrations which are cool and some photo opportunities as well. Whole tour takes about 45 minutes and the tour guides are always interesting. The gift shop is great too and totally worth the 10 bucks. Buy advance tickets if you plan on visiting during a busy weekend.

I grew up around the Santa Cruz area and have always wanted to come to the mystery spot since I was a kid. Since I had to move out of state, on vacation 23 years later, I got to bring my family with me to enjoy this small but great attraction. We had fun and enjoyed every moment. The tour guy was awesome, too! Great memories!
Joe A — Google review
The mystery spot is tucked away in the gorgeous spot in the woods. I love their little sitting area to relax while you wait for your tour time, and the gift shop was fun to look through as well. The waiting area and the bathrooms were kept clean, and the weather was just right when we went. The drive into/out of this spot can be a little sketchy in certain spots depending on how big your vehicle is as some spots of the road are a bit narrow for two cars to be going side by side. This was a fun spot to visit with my family, our tour guide was energetic and did a great job. The Mystery spot itself is neat, it was pretty crazy to see the demonstrations because they really do seem to defy gravity and how you perceive what is 'normal'. I honestly can not remember how long the tour was, but it was a decent amount of time and they allow you enough time to take some fun photos. This spot is not handicap or stroller friendly. The slope up to the little shack which is the mystery spot is quite steep and with the slanted angles your ankles/body will be in while walking through the shack will be hard on certain people.
Luna B — Google review
Marvelous mystery in a beautiful forest! Weekends are packed, so if you want less of a crowd, during the week better! Inside the home itself you can feel a little nauseous or vertigo because of the massive incline at which the house is positioned. Nothing permanent, just a crazy feeling. Fascinating to observe and experience! A must-see!

Nestled in a wooded, riverfront setting, Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort offers RV hookups and camping sites for those looking to explore Felton. The resort provides a great alternative to standard State Park camping with its prime location near Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and other attractions in Felton. While some spots may be tight, the beautiful surroundings compensate for it. The well-maintained campground features a playground, immaculate bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.
First time here this past weekend and loved it. Took us awhile to arrive due to a fire and roadwork. The lady working the check- in was super friendly. It’s a small resort but very well kept. I believe the site you have makes all the difference. It’s pretty tight and some sites are a little too close for comfort. Did see one guy having trouble parking because of the close proximity. With that being said, I also read reviews before we came so we knew what to expect. I would definitely comeback, we enjoyed our extended weekend amongst the beautiful trees. Thank you Santa Cruz Redwood Resort .

We loved this campsite! The people who worked there were so friendly and welcoming and the campground is absolutely gorgeous. Our site was also spacious and even though there were lots of other people there, we felt 'secluded' and like we were in nature. Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes around and met lots of other kids while there. There's a nice playground, rec room and a lovely hike down to the river where we saw lots of banana slugs. We were also a minute from Henry Cowell where we enjoyed a nice hike. We didn't do the train ride, but maybe next time. We were also only 20 minutes from the Santa Cruz boardwalk. We only stayed one night but we all agreed we're going to need to come back and stay longer.

We had such a wonderful stay at Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the entire property feels very well cared for. Everything is clean and well maintained, from the campsites to the common areas. The bathrooms were spotless, which made the trip extra comfortable. It is also a great spot for both families and dog owners. We loved how dog friendly the resort is and our pup had the best time exploring and relaxing with us. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and family oriented, with plenty of space to enjoy the redwoods all around. Highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a clean, friendly, and relaxing getaway in the Santa Cruz area. We will definitely be back!

We just spent 4 nights here and enjoyed it very much. The park sits beneath a beautiful redwood forest yet is close to all that Felton has to offer. We also enjoyed our many conversations with Beth, one of the campground hosts. She seemed to really enjoy her job. We would highly recommend this place.

Bathrooms are spotless! The tent sites are a little weird because they have parking in a different area but not far. Overall very nice place. Look out for the two skunks..... they're a bit too friendly to dogs.

If I could leave zero reviews I would. No Van camping allowed should be posted all over this site! We booked an RV site 4 months in advance for one week, paying $600 No where on the booking portion of the site does it state that you cannot be staying in a van. We are camping out of our Ford Transit van. Not a mini van or a car. A large van. And on an RV site. When booking I chose a truck camper, thinking that our van would be considered that. When we pulled in after a 3 day drive from Colorado, they quickly turned us away stating that our van was not commercialized. They did refund us while at the same time a sprinter van rolled in. Apparently sprinter vans are allowed, but our van was not. Completed BS. When asked their reasoning, they stated it was due to the homeless population. Clearly, we are not homeless and were able to afford a week long RV site. In retrospect, we are happy that it did not work out. That place is jammed full with huge motorhomes on top of each other. We would have smelled their exhaust and heard their generators all night long!

How do you leave a 5 star review for a business you never made it to? Like this. We had reservations - last minute, while traveling through N Cal from Phoenix. We had already suffered an expensive car breakdown and tow outside of Yuma at the beginning of the trip so we were a "bit" on guard with the truck. Heading over the mountain from Martinez, the evil vehicle spirits struck again. We turned around with a vehicle pulling an R-Pod178 that had no power and a check engine light. Not only were the staff at Santa Cruz Redwoods understanding about our not being able to make our reservation, but they were compassionate about our having to head back to Phoenix before we blew the Turbo in the truck. So, 5 stars? Yup, that is what great people on the phones and their bosses deserve. The photos shows where we spent lunch in Los Gatos instead of in Santa Cruz. We will be back soon. Save us a spot!

What can you say about the Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort? Plenty, but chiefly among them is how incredibly beautiful the grounds are. The place is surrounded by huge redwood trees that make every morning cup of coffee a thing to remember.

Scenic Railroads
Roaring Camp Railroads, situated near Covered Bridge Park in Felton, offers a nostalgic adventure with historic steam train rides through stunning landscapes of meadows and forests. The authentic narrow-gauge railway provides a thrilling experience while knowledgeable guides share California's rich history. The historic locomotive from 1890 takes passengers across wooden trestles to Bear Mountain for breathtaking redwood views.
The forest train was absolutely amazing. We had such a great time at Roaring Camp Railroad. The staff were more than friendly and it was just all around a terrific experience. I highly recommend the open top train cars as there is SO much to see as you traverse through the forest. The only thing I could recommend, is that I really anticipated it to be an all-day experience. I wish you could have had lunch at the top, say a nice BBQ'd cheeseburger and come back down when you were ready. That would have knocked it way out of the park.

It was our first time and we had a great time! The day was sunny, warm and beautiful day. No clouds in sight. There were plenty of ppl as to be expected but not crowded. As we got up the mountain the weather got slightly cooler. The conductor was very informative about the train, history and about the mountain itself. It is a 20 minute drive from Santa Cruz so that was very convenient. We will surely go back again.

Instead of a quiet, awe-filled ride through one of nature’s most sacred places, this experience felt like a cheap amusement park attraction with one man determined to fill every second of silence. The beauty of the redwoods, the rhythm of the train, and the magic of the steam were all drowned out by a guide who simply would not stop talking — for nearly the entire 75 minutes. We came to hear the clickety-clack of the tracks, the hiss of the steam, and the whispers of the forest, not one loudmouth endlessly babbling about himself, his friends, and random stories no one cared about. Every chance for reverence or reflection was shattered by his nonstop chatter, jokes, and forced enthusiasm. A short ten-minute introduction about the history of the train and the redwoods would have been perfect — then let nature speak for itself. For guests who truly want every detail, put a historic video or display in the opera house or station so they can learn at their own pace. But on the train, please, let us experience the peace and majesty that make this ride special. The scenery is breathtaking, the train itself is a treasure, but the guide’s endless noise completely ruined what should have been a serene, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Silence is part of the magic. Until they understand that, this ride is not worth it.

Took my 90yo Dad and the kids. He did fine walking. I did ask if I could drop him off closer, and they said I could drop off at employee parking. It's about 100 yards closer, but no paved walkway to the station. The walk is nice though, walking over the bridge and seeing the ducks and turtles in the ponds. We packed a lunch and ate on the train. It does stop, and people can get off and walk around a few minutes and use the restroom. We went on a Monday and took the noon train and there was plenty of room. It looked like the 130pm had more people, but everyone was on. The ride was nice and I enjoyed the narrator.

Very nice place for nature lover. Amazing train ride through thick forest. It is marvellous work done by engineers. Property owners deserve salute for preserving the forest. There are two trains , one for santa cruz and other for forest. There are limited seats as well as train /day so it is wise to reserve your tickets on line.you have to take pass at station which you have to show ticket checker in train. There is store for ice cream and snacks. There is picnic area where you can enjoy your food. There is restrooms.parking is little far for seniors but allowed to drop them near to station. There is trail through forest if you interested you can enjoy.

We came here for their Sequoia at Night walk which is only on weekends in October and really enjoyed this novel stroll through their redwood forest. We got our tickets in advance (they sell out) and were happy to see they didn’t charge for parking (usually an extra $10) The walk from the parking lot to the main “town” wasn’t that well lit, but once at the main venue it was neat to see this spot in a whole new light. Nice lanterns and colored lights on trees. I especially liked the effect of the red lights in some of the burn hollows on a few of the big redwoods. We also appreciated that the snack bar and beer and wine stand were open.

We went for a ride on the train through the redwoods. Just Magical! The trees were beautiful and our conductor Carlos was full of information. I highly recommend. Such a wonderful experience!

Wonderful experience and place! Definitely try it out if you are in Santa Cruz as it is one of the MAIN attractions! Would definitely go again. I would recommend purchasing tickets that let you stay up in the camp for a few hours to eat, rest, hike, and take pictures as an hour break is definitely not enough.

Nature & Parks
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is a stunning natural retreat located near Covered Bridge Park in Felton, California. The park offers a range of activities including camping, fishing, and hiking amidst diverse forested areas. Visitors can explore miles of trails suitable for all levels of hikers, from the family-friendly Big Trees Loop to more challenging mountainous paths. Fall Creek within the park features historic lime kilns and a rushing river with picturesque bridge crossings.
One of my favorite hikes in the Bay Area. You get that quiet, cathedral-like redwood stillness without the tourist crush of Muir Woods. The main loop is flat and easy—perfect if you’ve got kids—but if you want a bit more of a workout, head up the Ridge Trail. You’ll get a mix of redwoods, chaparral, and coastal views in one go. Parking’s usually not a nightmare, especially if you come early. Solid half-day getaway if you’re trying to reset your head without driving hours out of the city.
S A — Google review
I've been here a couple times and had only done the loop closest to the parking lot, I had no idea how big this park really is. All this time I thought it was just that lil loop, wow was I surprised to find out that loop is a really small section of an amazingly big park. I'm planning on another visit this time with my Segway so I can see the whole park n not just what my lil legs can handle. This time I also hiked up to the lookout to see the ocean and the Santa Cruz board walk from the top of the hill. I also really like that the trains were still running at roaring camp which is also right off the parking lot. So here's a pro tip, come real early if you wanna parking spot, I got there at 830am and had my pick, by 9am it was completely packed. Also saw some folks park out on the 9 on the south east side of the road and they hiked in. Definitely one of my favorite redwood parks in California. Definitely bring money for the trains, there's two and I recommend both. The 4x4 train is steam and super cool the other takes you to the Santa Cruz boardwalk. I figure why spend $28 for 2 hours for parking and 45 minutes waiting for a spot in and leaving when you can park at Henry Cowell for $10 pay 45 for the train get dropped off and take a later return avoiding both the traffic and the really expensive parking. Did I mention the rain goes through the redwoods? Amazing!!

Literally the best hike of my life! And my husband (who doesn’t usually like coming out hiking with me!) enjoyed it so much, we came back! We were in Carmel for a 5 day beach vacation and spent two of those days here. The trails range from easy to more challenging and the park staff is helpful. The views however, are what really make it. The redwood trees are awe inspiring and I don’t have the words to describe how “at home” I felt. The weather was perfect, the trails weren’t too crowded (the second time we went was on a holiday and even still the trails weren’t too crowded) although the afternoon trains did sell out. I definitely recommend taking the Roaring Camp to Santa Cruz and back, and having some of Marianne”s Peach ice cream. It’s worth the hype. (Get vanilla if they’re out) Park entrance fee is only $10, you simply can’t beat it
Jennifer M — Google review
Our favorite hiking spot in the Bay Area! Huge redwood trees, deep ferny glens, year round streams and rivers, this park has it all! While it is a dog friendly park, you must keep your dog on a leash and keep to Pipeline road. Without your pup, you can explore miles and miles of forested trails and rarely come across another human being! Highly recommended to hikers of any level. Also, we love parking at the Roaring Camp Railroad and walking into the park that way.

We’re in the area for my brother’s treatment for a rare form of cancer at Stanford, and before his surgery, we wanted to check something off his bucket list — seeing the redwoods. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park was only 45 minutes from our Airbnb and recommended by our host, and lemme tell ya, it was absolutely 💯 worth it. Pictures don’t do it justice — you can’t truly fathom how massive and peaceful those trees are until you’re standing beneath them. The 0.8-mile loop trail is super easy, flat, and accessible for just about anyone. It’s quiet, serene, and feels almost magical as you walk beneath those towering giants. Seeing the Seymour Tree was really cool, but our favorite was the one that almost looks like a giant saguaro cactus — it’s incredible in person! 🌲 We’re so glad we went. It was one of those experiences that just stays with you — peaceful, grounding, and absolutely unforgettable. ❤️

Such calm, peaceful and serene trails. During my last visit, I learned that Pine Trail and Eagle Creek Trail have a lot of sand because they are part of ancient sea floor. Would recommend coming before 9:30am to beat the rush of car traffic getting in and parking. Lots of Redwood grove trail is a must do!

Just $10 to get in to see breathtaking redwoods on a smooth trail with friendly staff at the gift shop and clean restrooms. No soap to wash hands but running water in the toilets and plenty of toilet paper. We saw deer in the meadow on the way in as well as the famous Banana Slug. Well worth a visit just minutes away from Santa Cruz. This place is a family favorite for all ages. We had a picnic on a park table under the mighty redwoods. Definitely a core memory for the family ❤️

This forest is magical. There are no words for how beautiful they are. I could spend the whole day wandering around in them. We saw so much beauty. We saw a bunch of banana slugs, too! Got to climb inside a tree that was so huge it had a little room inside it. Also got to see Thomas the train driving by!

Cowboy Bar & Grill is a family-friendly establishment serving a variety of sandwiches, steaks, and American cuisine in a themed setting. This hidden gem was stumbled upon by chance after visiting Henry Cowell State Park. The food is top-notch, with standout dishes like the Nasty Ned burger that left a lasting impression. The entire family enjoyed their meals, and the fries were especially noteworthy.
Some recent reviews had us almost pass this by. So glad we didn’t! Food was exceptional, I had a salad and my husband said his burger was the best he’d had in some time. Large and unique drink menu and a good affordable wine selection. It was dark and cool out so we sat at the bar but the outdoor space looks like it would be super fun in summer. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would go back!

My friends and I went here after doing some zip lining. I’m usually pretty decent at choosing good restaurants but I outdid myself this time! Everyone’s plates were completely cleaned off because the food was that amazing. Would definitely return and highly recommend this place! It definitely exceeded expectations, no complaints.

Went here the other day with friends! Ate outside, it was absolutely beautiful. The portions were fantastic, the service was kind and the atmosphere was on point! Rustic, woodsy, lovely. The forest being nearby as well was super cool. Please check this place out if you wanna have a special day!

We are incredibly sad and embarrassed to say we live not far away and only just started coming here. The food is wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive. We have only sat outside in the lovely garden space. So convenient if you are visiting Henry Cowell State Park. We all loved our dishes and the drinks were a generous pour and genuinely tasty. We will be back again and again. Highlights: garlic mashed potatoes, fish & chips, bread pudding, tacos, salad, cornbread, and bbq.

We had the fish and chips as well as wings, with the cranberry and mozzarella salad. The salad was a good size for the price and had a lot of toppings. Fish was a bit soggy but the fries didn't taste like they were from a bag and the cornbread with the salad was good. Weirdly enough the first glass of water that I got tasted like marijuana? Kinda weird

Such a cute place in the middle of the redwoods. We each got a special , tri tip dip sandwich & the chili salmon. Both plates were absolutely divine, we left no crumbs! I also liked how they had 3 different NA beers to choose from. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Just amazing! We stopped here on our drive in to see the redwoods, and it's so beautiful (you're already in the middle of the redwoods)! The food was delicious and the service was friendly. One thing to be aware of (being from Memphis) is that the ribs aren't smoked: still good, just not quite like home ;-). The garlic mashed potatoes and the corn bread were outstanding! I'd highly recommend this if you're passing anywhere nearby. We even got a tip from our server on a local trail to see some beautiful redwoods and a stream!

Cowboy Bar and Grill catered our wedding at Felton Guild and did such a fantastic job. Jim was great to work with—he was helpful and responsive (even when I had a bunch of last minute changes…). The bartenders were very friendly and quick so no one had to wait. They were accommodating with the bar opening time. It was a consumption bar (not per person) which I actually preferred. Us and our guests were very impressed with the tri tip, salmon, mashed potatoes, cornbread, and appetizers. Some drawbacks—there’s no storage or cutting service for cake, so we ended up having our cake/cupcakes delivered. Some of the costs added up ($16pp set up, $2pp for lemonade, etc) but Jim was transparent with these costs from the get go. Overall, we’re pretty happy with how it turned out and look forward to swinging by the Cowboy for a date night again!

Charlie Hong Kong is a vibrant, counter-serve venue offering a variety of Asian dishes such as rice bowls and noodles. The restaurant is known for its quick and healthy street food options, including the popular creamy yellow curry Chiang Mai Noodles with Sweet Garlic Tofu topping. Situated on Soquel Ave in Santa Cruz, the colorful eatery boasts a spacious outdoor patio surrounded by lush bamboo. It's an ideal spot to savor flavorful Asian eats in a relaxed setting.
Such a great staple in Midtown Santa Cruz. Very passionate local owner dedicated to affordable healthy food. Very affordable indeed. Myriad selection of asian-fused menu. Spicy cauliflower was tasty, as was the green curry chicken dish. Ordered hibiscus juice as well, so good! Amicable staff and prompt service. Parking on site.

This was a great stop for lunch. I got the green curry bowl with savory tofu and it was definitely spicy and flavorful. Love that all ingredients are local and organic, and there are vegan and gf options for all the needs! Service is slow if they are busy, and the atmosphere is great as long as it’s sunny 🌞 Recommended 👍🏼

The food here is absolutely delicious. The spring rolls (salad wraps) here were my favorite for the longest time, however I recently visited and I was so disappointed. The prices have gone up an insane amount. The salad wraps, which are vegetarian but delicious because of the pickled veggies were such a let down. They added two pieces of carrot in my wraps which were gone after my first bite and I was left with lettuce and noodles. I paid $10 for one wrap and peanut sauce ($3). That being said, the food here is delicious and I recommend the Spicy Dan & Gado Gado.

I had the vegan Chaing Mai Noodles topped with Ginger Tofu, and it was delicious and filling. I love that it's all organic. The Ginger Lemonade was excellent. It's really casual and friendly. Strong recommendation.

Nice little place gets busy , we got 2 bowls and the lady at the counter was very friendly, I had a chain mai noodle ( because it was the only option without parsley and carrot which i am allergic to ) with pork hoisin, very good although lacked a little bit of salt , the experience was ok affordable and practical , they give plastic cups for water and you get your own cuttlery at a station

If you're craving a dose of addicting Chinese inspired feed, look no further than Charlie Hong Kong, playa!! This nugget is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary warehouse rave! It'll have your taste buds dancing like they just popped a hit o' puuuuuure molly!! combine your visit here with a show at the Rio Theatre and you're really starting to cook with nitrous! First, let's talk about the plentiful vegan options: You'll find an array of dishes that are clearly marked. It's like a secret code you give the doorman on your way into that underground party. But this party concentrates on delivering umami to your dome, son!And for those 1/2-steppers who merely dabble in vegetarianism, fear not! Just a single **V** marks those dishes, making it super easy to navigate the menu without needing a PhD in food hieroglyphics. Now, onto the flavahs! The olfactory decadence here can not be overstated. From the crispy spring rolls to the savory Kung Pao Tofu, every bite will have you licking your little finger-tutting digits. Order your Dan Dan Noods, with an extra Dan (Yes Dan dan-dan noodles) and your taste-buds will be burning up like the dance floor during a double-drop Steve Aoki set! And let's not forget the Phoenix Tofu -- this dish is extra spicy and comes loaded with gobs of Chinese peppercorns that will numb your mouth into a state of sub-lingual disassociation. It's like ketamine for your taste buds! ‍ The ambience here is casual kind of like the Gobi tent at Coachella. And the staff? They're like your culinary fire spinners, ready to dose you with szechuan so good you'll leave the restaurant and have to head straight to the Zendo Psychedelic support tent So, if you're itch'n and twrk'n for some top-notch Chinese cuisine, make your way to Charlie Hong Kong. With such mouthwatering flavors you may find yourself rolling without even taking that MDMA!!...and don't forget your sugary fortune cookie at the end. These little biscuits are like an asian kandi-flip. Now go get your om nom nom noms on! #PLUR Pro tip: You can charge EV if you park down near Diversity Center at these nifty solar powered electric car charge stations

I drive past this place all the time when working In Santa Cruz. It's a small quaint drive in. It's vegetarian/vegan place or friendly place. They have 4 styles rice bowl, noodles bowl, soups and sandwiches. All with the same proteins. It's not great but it's good for being what it is. Prices are fair but I will say 5 dollars for a side of broccoli is a little over Priced. I would eat here again or take my vegan friends here. Worth a try if ur in the area

11-9-24: Delicious quality food at excellent prices with a fun casual vibe! Food taste beat my expectations and they seem highly sensitive to diner’s needs. Picnic table self service seating. You’ll need a code to get in the restroom. There were 7 in line ahead of us but it moved along 2-3 minutes each. Don’t tell anyone—especially tourists.

Mount Hermon Adventures offers an exhilarating experience with its array of ziplines, rope bridges, and platforms nestled in the trees. Thrill-seekers can tour the redwood canopy, cross suspension bridges high above the forest floor, and go ziplining between the redwoods. The destination also provides a serene environment for groups, couples, team building activities, camps, and retreats.
My friend and I did the redwood canopy tour led by Jordan and Noah and it was amazing! If you like zip lining, tree puns, and getting taught about the redwoods, then this is for you. We were smiling and laughing the entire two hours. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Worth it! Do it! My friends and I did the ropes course. You were given options to go easy or challenging route that both lead to the end zipline. 2 hours is actually not enough time to do it all if you're stuck behind people in your group who are slow. Regardless, our tour guides did the best they can do to get entire group to level 3, but we had 10 minutes to complete. The tour guides were super friendly! Limited parking spaces but we were able to find a spot along the side of road. The building appears to be a rec center that has other activities. We saw some people playing laser tag..

Our guides, Noah & Brooklyn, were so great. They made the entire experience amazing! The first leap is definitely a bit nerve wrecking but if you are an adrenaline junkie like me, you are truly going to have a blast. The area is so beautiful and you get to platform right next to thousand old redwood trees. Even if it rains, GO TO THIS TOUR!!!

My wife, 10 year old son and I had a great experience here. It was our first time zip-lining. It is a good value. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful among the redwoods and creek in the canyon. Maya and Mitchell were wonderful. They were professional, fun, full of interesting information and you could tell that they genuinely enjoy what they do. (Give them a raise management!) I highly recommend Mt. Hermon Adventures.

Worth it! Sequoia adventure needs more effort and energy. Ziplining-course is less effort comparatively. Sequoia adventure: Exciting and tiring. No risks. Very secure and reliable harness. 2 hours can leave you tired enough for the rest of the day if you are not used to exercising. Reaching 5-10 minutes before the start time is also good enough. They have free locker for phones, etc. Photos and videos available at the end to purchase. Prefer during winters. Free parking available.

I was impressed with this very cool ropes and zip line course. The staff were very professional and careful. I was impressed that they enforced their start time and did not allow a latecomer to disrupt and delay those who came on time. A very pretty and thrilling and well-run facility!

This is one of the most iconic Bigfoot museums in the state! It’s full of artifacts, evidence and memorabilia. The curator is so fun to talk to. He has years of experience and knowledge. This place almost closed due to the pandemic but thanks to A go fund me account and a large group of Bigfoot believers they raised money to keep this place open. I highly suggest visiting when you are in Felton.

Peepaw always said “I’ve seen me the Bigfoot! He’s real!” We all thought he was freaking NUTS. On our trip to California he made us stop here, it was a tremendous place, there was Bigfoot stuff everywhere, Peepaw looked at us “I told you so.” He said, with THAT look, you know what I mean. Bigfoot then walked in and CONSUMED Meemaw WHOLE, HOLY BISCUTS! He said it was a prank though and we all laughed.Rip Grandma lol. 10/10 visit for all families, you will leave changed and fulfilled and maybe smooching in the porta potty with Bigfoot, like what happened to Auntie Jillian.

This is one of the greatest Bigfoot museums I have every visited, and I have visited a fair number of Bigfoot museums. Mike Rugg is a legend, of course, and his collection of tracks, documentation, and examples of Sasquatch in popular culture is downright amazing! I hope I can come again some day.

Felton Covered Bridge County Park is a historic site in Felton, Santa Cruz County, California. The covered bridge, built in 1892 and standing at approximately 80 feet long, is a significant landmark with a Brown truss structural system. It became a California Historical Landmark in 1957 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
Cute little park with decent amount of parking. Be sure to actually walk across the bridge and look out the few cut out windows at the San Lorenzo. On a hot day it seems about 10 degrees cooler on the bridge. Several picnic tables make this a decent place to take a lunch.

This is a nice family friendly park. However, I am rating it only 4 stars. One star is lost for a couple of reasons. One reason is that the bathroom is just portapotties. Gross!! Second reason is my wife got hurt when she stepped on a bee and got stung. I did however enjoy walking over the covered bridge with our 6 year old son.

Not a very attractive covered bridge due to where it situated. The bridge itself are only but the surrounding area are not very pretty! The park have a small children’s playground which was nice and I do see few young families are enjoying this playground! There also about half dozen of picnic table by the creek with couple of BBQ rack! Parking space is limited to about 30 spaces, it will be very crowded during the summer time I believe!

Great little park nestled among the Redwoods and the restored Old Covered Bridge. Porta potties available and a water fountain for the hot days. Great little circular path surrounding the grassy area, good for walking your dog or teaching your kid to ride their bike. Shopping, food, and Drug Store within walking distance.

Campground
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park Campground is a dog-friendly campsite located in Felton, offering 107 shaded camping sites with toilets and showers available. The campground provides a great opportunity to stay surrounded by old redwood trees and explore the nearby Henry Cowell Redwoods Observation Deck. Visitors can enjoy the spacious camping area with a view of the forest and nature, as well as access to interesting trails. While some visitors have noted issues with shower availability, others appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities.
Excellent site for a day out amidst giant redwood trees in a cool weather. In fact, a few degrees cooler than the nearest town. Don't forget your jackets in winter. The trails are wide and smooth without too much ups and downs. The Redwoods trail offers views of the giant trees, many of them hundreds of years old. There's an exhibit of a giant cut tree older beyond two thousand years. They have marked the annular rings with dates of historical events. That tree was much older than Christ himself. Amazing. The River trail offers different kind of experience, with the trail winding through meadows along the banks of the ambling river. One can get down there and enjoy splashing in the waters. Lots of herbal plants there. We noticed plenty of bay leaf plants. There are plenty of camp sites, curio stores, cafeteria in the unique railway station, and open space with benches for lounging. Great place for a day out for families.

Very large and beautiful state park with giant redwood trees and the San Lorenzo river runs thru it. Don't miss the the Garden of Eden to see the giant redwoods. They have campgrounds and it's a really nice place to visit. There is also a train ride close by that goes thru the mountain and awesome Loch Lomand lake just a few miles north.

Went camping here for 2 nights at campsite #65, it was a decently sized site which can probably fit up to 5 tents depending on size, we did move the picnic table to fit our needs (will need 2 or more people to move) plenty of little critters running around, squirrels, birds, and lizards. Did not see a single mosquito but we had citronella incense sticks going anyway, very few bees when cooking any protein. Bathrooms are nicely lit up at night, plenty of toilet paper, no hand soap so bring your own. Lots of nice trails around for hiking. Firewood can bebought with cash only for $15 per bundle which is a little on the expensive side but im sure it goes towards the upkeep of the campgrounds & surrounding area. Driving into town is about 5 minutes . Overall we had a fantastic time & will probably be back.
H C — Google review
Very beautiful place! About a 1 mile loop walk to see the nature! Not bad for pricing which is about $10 a car for a full day pass. Benches along the way if needed. A map with a description of what you’re looking at with the help of trail markers along the way! Worth the visit for sure!
Landrie G — Google review
This campground in the forest provides fresh air and a comfortable place. Each site has its own fire pit which needs a bunch of wood for the campfire. There are quite enough faucets on the ground near the site. The restrooms are clean and well-organized, but too old. Some of them are closed to be repaired. Those should be renovated. There are a couple of parties playing music very loudly. If your site is away from them, it'll give you even better experiences. And, just walking will create dust all over your shoes.
K W — Google review
Nice camp ground with large camping site space and great view of the forest and nature. We enjoyed the trails and saw many different horse riders riding the beautiful horses even they created dust and excrement all the way on and off at the hiking trail. The down side - showers were out of order and it’s really hard to do a coin shower for me. I think the restrooms and showers need it an upgrade and remodeled soon. Overall, we had good experience enjoy nature during the weekend gateway.
Jean T — Google review
The campsite offers spacious and level ground, with ample distance between most campsites, providing enough privacy. Clean restrooms. Within 10 mins drive to Scott’s Valley and Felton, convenient access to Safeway, McDonald’s, CVS, coffee shops and more. Great camping spot with diverse hiking trails, including sandhill path to the redwood forest through the trailhead right next to the campground. Trails are almost devoid of people, making for a comfortable and shaded walk.
Grace L — Google review
Great spot, access to the trails of the state park, very clean and well maintained, plenty of water near campsite. Campsites come in variety of views bigger ones for larger groups in the middle covered by beautiful trees and some around the clif edges with a wider view of the valley. Staff were super nice and friendly and very helpful with directions and things like that! The showers are coin operated (hate those!) so bring quarters! Cleanness: very clean Views: diverse and good Fee: 35$ per night, fair Access: not far to Felton and there is a little convenience store 3 minutes away from the entrance

Pizza restaurant
Round Table Pizza is a long-standing pizza establishment that offers a range of customizable options for toppings and sauces in its modest setting. There was an issue with the business hours listed on Google Maps, causing confusion for customers who had placed online orders for Sunday lunch. It became apparent that the restaurant would not open until 4:30 pm, which prompted one individual to call and cancel their order at 4 pm. However, the person they spoke to exhibited kindness and professionalism.
I sent through my order yesterday, 12/19/24, and had to wait a bit. However, even with the wait and with them being short staffed they did a good job on getting everyone their order. Will be going back, but hopefully when others don't have the same idea. My order still turned out good and their hot wings are phenomenal!

I was trying to figure out what to order for a family of 7 all with different likes. I called them and after discussing it with the employee taking the order, we ended with an order of 4 pizzas, supremes, chicken, and gourmet veggie. The whole family loved every bite and my dad and aunt will not stop saying how much they loved it. They said it was the best they ever had!

Dishonest owner overcharged me for a 2 liter of soda. Bad customer service! I was waiting for the price to pop up on the card reader before I tapped my card. He physically pushed my hand/card onto the reader like I didn’t know how to use it.. looked at my receipt and total for 1 two liter of soda was over $8. Also, same trip (separate transaction) my husband had ordered the pizza when I was out and I stopped to pick it up, I was under the impression he had only ordered three pizzas like we had discussed, After picking up the pizza and getting home, he said that he had also ordered breadsticks. What I brought home was two pizzas and an order of breadsticks, So I thought it was correct before leaving the place. After calling them and letting them know, I requested them to deliver it to us Which he said he would see if he could. They said that they were able to, but didn’t say when. Hour and a half goes by and I leave to run to the store near my house and find that There is a pizza box on my Stoop… Our very cold Pizza had arrived who knows when. I was near the door The entire time and didn’t hear a knock or anything. We have been ordering from the Scotts Valley Round Table ever since that.

Currently enjoying a traditional Jewish Christmas feast at I Wok Bistro, it's clear that the Yelp reviews were spot on. The cuisine here is absolutely incredible, scoring a perfect 10/10. We indulged in an array of mouthwatering dishes including chicken fried rice, beef chow mein, shrimp, and Szechwan pork. The portions are massive, the ingredients are impeccably fresh, and each plate is brimming with generous amounts of meat and seafood.
We are having our traditional Jewish Christmas dinner here as I write this. Reviews on Yelp are not even a little bit wrong. The food here is fan-freaking-tastic. 10/10. We ordered chicken fried rice, beef chow mein, a shrimp dish, and Szechwan pork. Portions are huge, ingredients are fresh, and the amount of meat and seafood in each dish is extremely generous. We are so stuffed right now! The two women who run this place are very gracious hosts. Yet another reason for my family to love our annual trips to Felton. This town is amazing.

Solid Chinese food from a family that is from the north of China, so they're more likely to provide you with interesting versions of non-Cantonese food ( liker Twice Cooked Pork). Local businesses like this really deserve local support. Glad to see that they survived the COVID period.
David 葛 — Google review
We were not impressed, food was ok (I didn't choke on it), but we always take our left overs, and we didn't this time. It wasn't worth wasting space in our fridge on something we probably wouldn't eat again. The egg soup wasn't nearly as good as up the road, pretty bland. The rice was extremely dry and had an odd after taste. My plate, well it was mostly onions and I picked out a couple low quality shrimp. The fried veggie wontons were edible, I finished those. The egg roll was good. The water had things floating in it, I hope it was lemon pulp, but was afraid to ask, so I didn't drink it. Service was ok, but nothing stood out when there are so many amazing Asian food restaurants in the local area, and with great service. We have no intention of returning.
Celeste G — Google review
It's all about the food. I ordered takeout once and couldn't eat it. I am sorry to leave a review like this since the owners are older people who try. Honesty is what they expect from this sight.
Lorna C — Google review
My boyfriend and I had the Singapore style glass noodles with beef. The meal tasted alright (the bites of beef were tougher to enjoy than the noodle portion) but we almost immediately had stomach aches that lasted well into the next day. Something was definitely off to a degree where we likely won't return to try anything else. Bummer, thought we were gonna love this place.
Lindsey S — Google review
This was not a cheap meal but what I received was a really cheap and lazy version of what they're saying they offer. The owners seemed nice. They were having their lunch with the family when I arrived which made the restaurant feel more cozy. But the food was not what I thought I was getting. I looked through the photos from previous reviews so I could order based on the ingredients that I could see they actually put in the dish, in addition to what the menu said. I decided on the Mongolian Beef after seeing a photo of it from another customer. It was filled with green onions and beef. I ordered this option because while American Chinese isn't your go-to for veg, I figured the amount of green onions would be enough to satisfy some of my nutritional needs. All I received was a pile of yellow onions and beef, even though the menu says it includes scallions (which often is the translation for green onions or spring onions), chilies, and onions. Additionally, the picture on their menu shows the dish including these items. Next I ordered the Chow Fun with veggies as my addition. This is a very simple dish with noodles, onions, and cabbage plus your additional item. My additional veggies were 3 pieces of broccoli... Not big pieces. one 2 medium pieces and 1 small. I don't think this justifies as the vegetable(S) addition for my entree. I know it's my personal preference to want vegetables as a part of my meal. It's possible that the regulars of i Wok don't really want vegetables with their dishes, and for the owners to adjust to this, is just smart business. But then take it off the menu. It's very disappointing for someone who is looking to come to your restaurant for the first time, and doesn't really get what they order.
Taylor T — Google review
Food is always good and the people that help are always so nice. Perfect for grabbing dinner on your way home so the Mrs. Or the mister can take the night off from cooking. I would give 5 stars on the food, but it seems that it food is not quite as fresh if you go too late. But still good.
Michael L — Google review
I ordered here mainly because they took online orders unlike the other Chinese restaurant in the area. I loved my meal. I believe they deserve a higher rating than they have. The restaurant was clean and cozy. They outside seating was surrounded by plants and was very pretty. I will definitely come back and sit outside. My food was delicious and was a very large portion considering I got a lunch order. I even received a free cup of hot and sour soup which was excellent I’ll add. Definitely try this place out.

After three years, the patron still frequents Sushi San. The recent photos showcase a Donut Roll, Sashimi Donburi, and an unidentified combo. Initially skeptical of the restaurant's potential due to its location in a tranquil shopping center, they were pleasantly surprised by the offerings. Sushi San boasts unique dishes such as hamachi kama and age dashi tofu, along with delectable pickles and stunning presentation.
We stopped in here not realizing Felton even had a sushi place. It’s tucked in the plaza corner with a main anchor grocery store. The menu was stacked full of options. The specialty rolls were hard to choose because of a wide variety; see pics for our choices. (Lion Roll and calamari maki.) Sapporo beer is paired best 🤤 and the ice cream dish was almost too much for two people, but - we totally polished off the green tea version nicely. Atmosphere was relaxing. Service was exceptional and quite attentive.

Great hidden secret that is worth the discovery! The owners are very sweet, quick, and helpful. The place is always clean and service speedy. We love to hit the lunch special on Bento boxes..what an amazing deal!! The environment is entertaining with the fish aquariums and likeable decor. One of our favorite places!

I absolutely love the food at this place. Very reasonable prices. Clean flavors and great presentation. They have aquariums all over the restaurant and they're beautiful. The only problem I have is that the service is mixed. I've had very good experiences and sometimes I've had experiences where I've been more or less ignored at my table when ordering. Otherwise I absolutely love this place.

Update: three years later, and we're still going to Sushi San regularly. The three photos are from today: Donut Roll, Sashimi Donburi, and a combo (I forget which one). I was dragged in here and really didn't expect much, and was pleasantly surprised! Despite its location in a quiet corner of a shopping center, Sushi San was awesome! They have some unusual items, like the hamachi kama and age dashi tofu (deep-fried tofu), the pickles are awesome, and the presentation is beautiful. Next time I'll try more of their appetizers. My friends got sushi rolls, which also looked pretty good. But you could make a meal out of the appetizers and get some sake and be happy.

It's often packed, and they don't accept orders past 8pm, but if you're lucky enough to get seated at Sushi San, you are in for a treat. Despite its unpretentious location next to the CVS/Safeway in Felton, it is one of the best sushi places in all of Santa Cruz County. We especially love the (gluten free!) agedashi tofu, and pretty much all of their rolls. They also offer an amazing maki combo with 3 different half rolls for $14.95, or 3 full rolls for $24.95. This is by far our favorite restaurant in SC mountains, and even has a fun interior with fish tanks and plants along the walls. The owner is especially kind. A hidden gem!

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Loch Lomond Recreation Area. Not quite as popular as Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Loch Lomond Recreation Area is a picturesque 175-acre reservoir park that offers opportunities for fishing, boating, and hiking. It features a stunning redwood hike on the Loch Loop Trail, which provides ample shade and offers breathtaking views of the lake. Located just outside Felton, this hidden gem charges an $8 entry fee and is closed on Wednesdays. Additionally, visitors can enjoy paddle boats on the serene lake for a fee of $15 for two hours.
This is the best place to bring young kids and spend quality family time. It has picnic tables with Barbecue stands. Parking is limited and difficult during weekends and holidays. We can buy a fishing license for one day at the the park store. The entry fee per car is $10. We can also buy a Season pass for $100. It's closed on Wednesdays. We can rent the boat (paddle and row boats) for $30 per two hours. The boat reservation closes at 5 pm and we should dock our boat by 7 pm. We didn't complete the entire trail , but most of the hike was on the shores of the Loch. Fishing is allowed here. We can bring our dogs , but they should always be on a leash. Swimming is not allowed. Motor boats are currently unavailable. Restrooms are available at parking locations and near the Park Store.

Beautiful, well maintained for forested recreation. Beautiful boat ramp, find your way there through a sort of strange community in the mountains.

Gorgeous Lake in Santa Cruz mountains where u can rent electric or paddle boats, hike, fish or just take in the scenery
Larry T — Google review
This reservoir nestles up among the Santa Cruz mountains. Once you get here you'd be mesmerized by this beautiful lake, the redwood trees, the tree stumps and vegetation along the shore, and the ducks and birds. To get here you you have to drive through some narrow winding mountain roads, and pay $10 entrance fee. There are multiple parking lots, restroom, a store with boat rental. We rented the electric motor assisted row boat for $60 for 2 hours and loved it. The trail along the shore is pretty flat. There are docks along the way that you could do fishing on. There are also trails that go up the mountain. There are many picnic tables in various areas. There is a small island in the middle of the lake with a boat dock and picnic table. So if you rent a boat you could get up to it and picnic there.

Beautiful place. Excellent crew and very helpful. $10 entrance fee and paddle boat renting $30.
Semiha C — Google review
3 stars for amazing first hour on the boat. Then, our battery died despite the boat rental telling us it would last 2.5 hours. We didn’t even use the battery the whole hour either. At that point we tried to row back. The current picked up and we started to panic a little. We were losing energy and had no service, no flag, no radio. I tried texting friends to call the rental place for help. We paddled for an hour trying to get back and making little progress. Long beyond the time we intended to be out there so we were dehydrated and ended up with gnarly sunburns because we couldn’t reapply without the boat drifting back. We waved our arms at other boats for help for a good 30 minutes while trying to row intermittently and thankfully eventually the ranger picked us up and towed us back. Ranger was very kind. On our way back there were other boats that needed help too, so this was not just an us thing. Really unfortunate because it was such an incredibly beautiful day tainted and sadly overshadowed by a scary & physically/mentally exhausting experience that could have been avoided. We also had other things planned that day that got cancelled because we were stuck on the lake. Would like to come back but will need to call to ensure they have more safety protocols in place and fully charged batteries
Jelly B — Google review
Beautiful park with easy to moderate hiking trails, many of which provide views of the lake. Large picnic areas that can be reserved. You can fish for largemouth bass and blue gill. And, of course you can rent or bring your own boats to do some lake boating. They have motor boats which usually are sold out first thing in the morning but there are always paddle boats, row boats and kayaks to rent.

State park offers hiking & other outdoor activities among redwoods & Douglas firs in a wild canyon.
Great shady spot to walk or hike on a hot day or let the urban life fall away when it's cool and foggy and the creek is rushing. Expect the temperature to be 10-15 degrees cooler than Felton forecasts many days, multiple seasons. Expect poison oak. This has been my kids favorite local nature spot for more than 6 years.

Nice little or longer hike, just off highway 9 a few miles north of the small town of Felton is the trailhead which goes up to the lime kilns and beyond into Henry Cowell state park. At the time I went (mid February) the recent light rains had nourished all the creeks, streams and even some babbling brooks. Cleaning off the normal dark sediment that I was used to seeing in the waterways. Seeing sandy based stream beds was a reminder that the Santa Cruz mountains are largely made of soft sandstone. Aside: one reason the roadways have problems with slip outs. I've hiked this area many times in the summer. This outing was special in the abundance of creeks, streams and mini waterfalls courtesy of the many downed trees. Later in the year I expect the sediment to accumulate once the flows slow as time shifts into the dry season.

Beautiful hike. Highly recommended for families . The trial is easy and short . The view was great the whole entire time. It’s well shaded.
Maya H — Google review
One of my favorite places to hike, I have been going here almost 30 years now. Fall Creek is one of the more beautiful creeks in the Santa Cruz Mountains to me because most of the rocks in the Creek are granite so there are many small waterfalls as you walk next to the Creek, similar to what you will find up in the Sierra Nevada. My favorite hike is the hike up to the Big Ben Tree on the Lost Empire Trail it really is one of the best hikes in the whole Santa Cruz Mountains IMO because it has a little history to it, you pass the old Lime Kiln area then you pass a old logging camp, it's a little steep so you get a nice workout and most of all there are really nice old growth Redwoods at the end of the trail! I continue on back to Fall Creek to make it a very nice loop trail.
David M — Google review
By far the most beautiful hiking Ive ever done.. and I hike a lot! Did a 9-10 mile loop taking Fall Creek up a long gradual climb along the creek. You barely notice how much elevation youve gained because its gradual and tons of waterscape scenery. Then took Big Ben which is a well maintained trail but certainly a good climb! After seeing the Big Ben Tree, cut down Lost Empire trail back to eventually connect back up to Fall River and back to the parking lot. Lost Empire is a really beautiful trail sans all the waterscapes. Nice change of scenery. Went on a fall morning starting off in the 40s and lots of mist ans drizzle. Got to the low 50s. Wore running shorts and a sweater. Totally fine. Highly recommend this loop. Its is so picturesque. Access to this side is free and there's free parking there too. Carried a 3 liter water bladder and barely use half. Can totally get water from the Fall Creek for the entire first 4 to 5 miles up. I pulled out my water purifier and the creek water was just as good as Evian. I could have carried so much less water knowing the creek was there.
L W — Google review
We hiked the loop up Fall Creek Trail, then to Big Ben Tree, then back down the Lost Empire Trail to the Lime Kilns area. This was about 8 miles with steady elevation changes in about 3 hours. Trail was wide and easy to follow. Two or three tree falls across the trail. Minor water crossings. Did this in mid November afternoon, so it was quite cool and dark in areas with no direct sunlight for the whole trail.
Gary O — Google review
California was just declared out of drought statewide. With so much water, lots of new plants. White water creek flowing constantly. Most of this trail follows the creek banks. Beautiful and fresh. The trails we hiked are Fall Creek to Big Ben to Lost Empire then back to Fall Creek. Good condition trails. Lots of redwood and coastal oak. So much water so can get wet crossing the creek a few times. Historic limestone kilns is an attraction of the trail as well.

Gift shop
Mountain Spirit is a magical shop located in Felton that offers a wide variety of metaphysical goods, including gems, herbs, incense, sage, handmade jewelry, crystals, books for adults and children, and tarot cards. The store has received praise for its helpful and attentive staff who offer rare stones like prehnite and carribean calcite. Visitors can also find secondhand treasures at Abbots Thrift nearby.
Cute little shop with beautiful crystals, books, and gifts. There were some really unique items and the displays were beautiful. It also smelled so nice inside. The owner was so friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome. We love shops like this but it’s hard to find really nice ones so we were so glad to find this one! Great vibes here and we can’t wait to go back!

How did this amazing little secret sneak by me for so many years! Drove past it countless times and never noticed the magic it held inside. Now I know, and everyone that finds delight in the inventory they carry should know! The owner is an absolutely beautiful soul and has a gift for selecting and displaying her selection. The biggest surprise...the outstanding prices! I hope she can hold out with such quality at such a bargain!

Been eyeing this place for years. I had a birthday coming up for someone important in my life and felt that this store was the place to go! So I gravitated over there. Josh was behind the counter and welcomed me upon my entry and let me know he was there to help. There are so many great things to choose from. Josh finally helped me come to a decision. He knew his stones very well. He was a super sweet guy. I opened up to him. A little too much probably! I got an amazing deal on a super beautiful necklace, a long with a nice Reiki energy charged friendship candle. He gave me the perfect box to present it in! I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Highly recommended!

This place has a small selection but good prices and they do have no phone policy. These pics were taken before she said something, and the owner said I don't have to delete it. Their parking is awkward, so good luck to anyone, especially on a rainy day.

This place is absolutely amazing. If you happen to be in Felton, please visit this place. They do close at 5pm not 6 pm, and the staff is just wonderful. They have a huge variety of stones, incense, sage, handmade jewelry, and crystals. In addition, they have wonderful books for adults and children and tarot cards. It's really a magical shop. They have alot of odds and ends as well. I purchased quite a few things and the prices are great.

This crystal shop is marvelous. I have been to many crystal shops around America and this one really excited me! It’s so organized and there’s many different options for each crystal such as just a stone or a jewelry piece or anything you would need and there is a great variety of different metaphysical items I even grabbed a couple of books this is definitely a store you don’t want to miss and want to stop by if you’re in Felton, California! Also I should mention the staff is excellent they’re very helpful informative and super friendly! Josh helped me out yesterday and I was so happy leaving with my new goodies :) I will be coming back for sure. Thank you for this great store I love it so much!!!! The Cremer House is a restaurant and alehouse created by the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing team, offering a diverse American menu and an impressive selection of over 25 craft beers. Located near Henry Cowell Redwoods, this charming establishment provides both indoor and outdoor seating options. Visitors can expect a bustling yet not overly loud atmosphere, making it perfect for enjoying conversations while savoring their meal.
Excellent service and outstanding food. This place is worth the short drive from Santa Cruz and the long drive from the Bay Area. They offer comfort food and classic dishes along with a great selection of beers, cocktails and craft home-made sodas.

We went on saturday 20th june 2019 , it has both seating inside and outside .As we were 7 of us they asked us to wait for 30 minutes to be seated . They offered us seat but it was only for 6 people . The people sitting next offered us their table and we were able to sit comfortably . There is wide selection of house draughts and wine . I ordered Coast Kolsch (Mt.Shasta grown malt adds body ,crystal hops give it a bright ,crispy refreshing fruit finish 4.8%abv,calicraft brewing) the beer was crispy less bitter and was good , my daughters and son in law and his relatives ordered beer and wine ., beet burger For Food ordered Sunflower Pretzel basket ( ale house Mustard ,porter cheese) Very salty the ale mustard was tasty with porter cheese the portion was big for us to finish Grilled cheese ( blend of cheese on griddled Challah) very tasty and good Veg Gyro (tzatziki ( cucumber+ yogurt+ lemon juice), pickled red onions, cucumber, roasted red pepper, argulla) This was excellent with nice green vegetables since i Had my grand daughter ( 18 months ) requested them to give some bread so that she can be busy her self (gave 2 slices of bread and charged 1 USD ) The service was excellent and the ambience is very nice

I stumbled upon The Cremer House after visiting Henry Cowell Redwoods. After 3 days in the Santa Cruz area and tons of recommendations to other places that turned out to be mediocre and expensive, we decided why not check it out. I am beyond happy with that choice!! We were seated at a great little table for two. The bar was hustling and yet the place wasn’t overly loud. I could easily carry on a conversation with my husband. I couldn’t decide between the Cremer burger or the fish and chips basket. The server said I could not go wrong with either. Our server, Jenny, by the way was fantastic! She was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Cremer burger and it was fantastic. I can’t recall a time when I’ve had a more flavorful burger, the beef was cooked medium and simply had so much flavor. I opted for a side spring salad instead of fries and that was fabulous!! Finally a great dinner on my trip!! I left feeling so satisfied!! So we decided to go back the next night. This time I had the fish and chips basket. They were great, better than any I’d found on the wharf, plus I love that they used cod as the fish as I’m not a big fan of halibut. Personally I didn’t care for the tarter sauce (theirs is an interesting twist but I’m kind of a traditionalist when it comes to my tarter sauce so it’s not them, it’s me) but I tried the ranch I was dipping my incredibly yummy fries in and wouldn’t you know, the ranch goes great with the fish as well. They’re ranch dressing is amazing! And we decided to finish up our evening by splitting a pot of decaf and the warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Perfection!!! Extras: •We had dinner both nights around 5:30pm which seemed to be a little before the place got busy. •There is parking behind the restaurant and it’s shared with a grocer so we had no problem finding a spot. •The bathrooms were roomy and clean!! (This I’m finding to be a rare occurrence in most restaurants) •They also have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar with plenty on tap.

Fantastic organic restaurant with local flair and flavor. Artichoke Dip is a must to start with a locally crafted beer or glass of wine. Tonight the Monterrey Bay Rock Cod was utter perfection atop vegetables, mashed potatoes and spaghetti squash. The curry vegetable entree is mouth watering and filling. Get the beet salad if you are a beet lover!

Breakfast restaurant
Rockys Cafe is a charming spot nestled among the trees in Scotts Valley, offering a non-traditional dining experience. The cafe provides both indoor and outdoor seating, with a second-floor porch for enjoying the delish blueberry pancakes or a perfect chorizo scramble. Visitors can also savor the view and scent of pine trees while dining on tasty dishes like turkey sandwiches or flavorful burgers. The friendly staff and great service make it an excellent choice for a lovely brunch or lunch on the patio.
My spouse & I spent a week camping nearby. We ate breakfast at this cafe 3x that week. We had been there a few years ago, and loved it. Well, the cafe still serves delicous food! We received great service too! Malcolm was our waiter a couple of times and he was great! Sam, another waitress, was so personable, bubbly and nice! We loved sitting at the same table and enjoyed all the staff. The eggs and bacon was cooked perfectly. We were apprehensive that this cafe wouldn't be as good as it was years ago, but it was. The only suggestions I have is 1) get real menus. They have photocopied menus and the photocopy is poor. It creates a negative appearance, and 2) they are suppose to be open everyday (per Google), but we arrived on a Wednesday and they were closed. So, that wasn't great. Either Google hasn't been updated or it was just closed for some other reason. Other than that, all is good.
Backpacker_ H — Google review
CASH ONLY……….. (ATM) on premises. Had the breakfast. Taste is about average with portion size above average. Cost is very reasonable for the area. This an older style building with outside seating. Inside seating also available. Parking lot can be congested and entry road is a tight squeeze for two vehicles. I recommend it.
Wayne C — Google review
**IT'S CASH ONLY! ** but worth it. Rockys is a classic breakfast diner spot without all the fuss and muss. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and it’s great for a quick stop if you're ambling down Highway 9. The vibe is more small-town and less hipster. It's a good alternative to The Grove, especially if you got discouraged by the crowd there. One critique: their drip coffee was... not good. Maybe it was just a bad coffee machine day? Which is a shame, because there’s so much great coffee in the area.
Wen H — Google review
I wish they would have let us know they only take cash or check prior us placing our order, on these days most us pay either via credit or some sort of it, also the food on a scale from 1-10, I would give it a 4+ i order a simple cheeseburger and the meat patty was so small that the meal was mostly bread and tomatoes, not to mention we had to send the salad back since it was made from very low quality items. Love the environment, however the food needed more attention to detail to make it a memorable meal.
Oscar Z — Google review
If you are looking for a Great place to have Breakfast, this place was AMAZING! Great Service. Such nice weather, we chose to eat outside. I had the Eggs Benedict. My Fiance had Chicken Fried steak. Only thing is they take cash only, if your like us and didn’t know u can run across the street and use the atm. We will eat here again for sure!

Great local restaurant. Delicious breakfast. We had the California omelette, greek breakfast scramble and spinach and mushroom scramble. Hashbrowns were quite nice. Gluten free pancakes. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

The food here is fantastic! Huge portions of homemade and mouth watering food. The staff was very friendly from the time I walked in. Quaint little off the road cafe with outside seating available. Dog friendly. Very affordable as well. Cash or check only but they do have an ATM available. If you're in the area you must stop in and give it a try.

I got a burger as you see and boy come check it out. Give it a 8/10 on burger. Lady got toast but before I took photo she destroyed it. Also got a mini tour of place. Their doing recyclable plates so don't expect fancy.. come for the view and smell of pine tree.

I like to support small, local businesses whenever I can so I was glad to discover Castelli’s when I wanted a casual lunch after a morning hike. The guys behind the counter were friendly and greeted me like a regular customer even though I’d never been there before. The BLT I ordered had been taken off the online menu, but they offered to make it for me anyway. My food came out quickly and the sandwich was amazing! I wanted to sit outside but the tables looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The whole area was cluttered with leaves, junk, and other debris. The owner actually reads these reviews (nice!) so I hope he takes care of this soon. This hidden gem seems to be a neighborhood favorite, with an extensive menu at reasonable prices. I’ll be back whenever I’m in the area.

Very confused how this got such high ratings. We waited over 20 minutes for our sandwiches while the staff ran their mouths. You can tell some of the staff really care and others don’t care at all. The girl making our sandwiches did not. There was literally only one piece of turkey on half of my sandwich. Overpriced for what it was.

Place blows. When went in 2 people appear to be working yet takes 15 mins to make a sandwich. Soda was warm at best from fridge. 9.50 for a bad sandwich. No thanks. Waste of time. Horrible service and food. Drive past this place
Bill C — Google review
Needed to-go breakfast before going on a hike and Castelli’s made us breakfast sandwiches to order. Wish I could have given more stars but the problem was that I ordered an iced latte and it came hot. I usually wouldn’t have said anything but this is the second time since I’ve been in CA that I didn’t get iced when I ordered it. So when I said it was supposed to be iced, she said no problem but then poured the hot latte over ice, instead of remaking it correctly. So I got an ice-less, watered down latte with almost no flavor. Such a bummer.

Coffee shop
I am a big supporter of small local businesses, so I immediately noticed the high number of positive reviews for the charming little shop. Although there was some waiting time for drinks, which is expected in a busy and compact establishment with only one barista and machine. My partner ordered a mexi mocha, white chocolate mocha, chocolate chip cookie, cranberry lemon bread, and onion bagels. The only downside was that the freshly ground peanut butter was quite dry.
they have cold brew, coffee is great, staff is so kind and fun. cute vibe inside as well

The interior of the shop is adorned with handwritten menu, wooden decor and carvings, giving it a unique and rustic vibe. Staff is friendly. Got a soy latte and soy mocha. Both were delicious and perfectly balanced! Also they’ve got plenty milk alternatives, which is fantastic!
Grace L — Google review
Wicked cool coffee shop. They had hello kitty themed drinks, I got the “hello kitty” which was a strawberry white mocha latte.
H R — Google review
maybe we caught this place on a bad day? Unfriendly service and the shop itself is very dark and not particularly clean (dusty etc). In addition the barista, steamed the milk for a cappuccino and a latte in the same container! And no latte art :( the drinks were so hot that 20 minutes later they’re still un drinkable. And they weren’t very good, burnt tasting. Definitely would recommend getting a coffee next door where the service is friendly and vibes are better.
C S — Google review
This place is unique and has great space for studying, hangouts or perfect for a tasty drink and pastry to go. Love how kick back it is and friendly the staff and folks that hang here are. Coffee is flavorful and pretty solid all in itself. I usually grab a half sweet latte with an extra shot of espresso.

Decent chai, but heavier on the nutmeg and cardamom than on the black pepper and ginger. Nice staff. Interior design leaves much to be desired.

This is a charming little coffee shop in the Main Street of Felton. There seemed to be a few regulars that came in and knew the employees. The coffee was wonderful and I also ordered a quiche and breakfast burrito which were both fantastic. Highly recommend and I will return

Good local shop! We stayed down the road and came into town each morning to grab coffee here. Lots of good pastries and food options! They even have an acoustic guitar and ukulele to play around with! I would definitely recommend.

Redwood Grove Loop Trail

5.0
(104)
Hiking area
The Redwood Grove Loop Trail in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. This 1/4-mile trail takes you through a 40-acre old-growth forest filled with some of the tallest trees on the planet. The park, located just north of Santa Cruz, offers an array of hiking and biking trails, but this loop trail stands out as the crown jewel.
This was a beautiful trail and experience. I have always wanted to see the redwood forest and it didn’t disappoint. We went in the morning and it was nice and cool. There were so many birds and bugs and animals to see. It is such a magical place and the air feels so cool and clean. I’m so glad we got to experience it and highly recommend it!
Kimberly — Google review
Trail was muddy so be prepared to get dirty if it's rained recently. But wow what a great trial. Very easy flat about a mile long. A lot to see in a short amount of time.
J C — Google review
This redwood loop trail is the perfect way to get outside and enjoy a little nature without any strenuous hiking. The trail is well maintained and has you right in the middle of the redwood trees at pretty much all times. If you get lucky you may catch a squirrel running around nibbling on some food or even a banana slug slinking along the ground. At times it's so quiet on the trail, the sounds of only the leaves rustling and birds chirping are all you hear. Of course it is right next to Roaring Camp Railroad, so every so often you hear the sounds of the train, but it really only adds to the experience.
Melissa B — Google review
Easy loop trail through a beautiful old growth redwood grove. Flat and accessible trail, with a self-guided tour - pick up a leaflet from the Visitor Center which details all the points of interest along the trail. Less than a mile loop. Several benches along the way to sit and soak in the clean air, the tranquility and listen to the woodpeckers!
Helen M — Google review
Really great trail for enjoying the redwood forest. Very well maintained and showing amazing beauties of the giant trees

Unforgettable experience! We were looking for something to fill out our final afternoon in California, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect end to our trip! The California redwoods are something on everyone's travel bucket list and the Redwood Grove Loop Trail is a great way for everyone of all ages to be able to experience. The trail is less than a mile long with lots of benches and places to stop, almost inviting you to take a leisurely slow walk to soak it all in. There are free guide trails (donations encouraged) that give explanations for marked points of interest on the trail. Make sure you take your time and take lots of great pictures if you're out-of-towners like us; the memories from the sights you see will stay with you for a lifetime!
Benjamin F — Google review
This park is beautiful! Less crowded than Muir woods and for us easier to get to. Very informative, everyone offered tips or were there with information just when questions popped into your head. The visitor center has a lot of information also! And then there's the trees! During our walk I heard several times from our group "That's my favorite tree" "Oh now that's my favorite!" Highly recommend!
Leah B — Google review
I have come to this little loop many times and it's one of the best gems of the bay area. So close to the city life yet so far away. Serenity and beauty all around among old growth redwoods. While on this loop you'll see a sign for the river trail. Take that to the river, it will be only a couple of minutes of walking to reach the river

Felton Covered Bridge

Historical landmark
Located in a community park near the main intersection, Felton Covered Bridge is a historical attraction that dates back to 1892. This iconic bridge served as the main entry point for the town of Felton for 45 years before becoming a pedestrian bridge. The 80-foot-long wooden structure was designed by Pratt Warren and features a brown truss structural system. Originally built to prevent wood from rotting, this historic bridge now stands as an impressive reminder of Felton's past.
Five star bridge!! High ceilings and low floors (lol). Visually very cool and fun to walk on!!! Family friendly place. The bridge connects a playground with the other side of the creek which has an equestrian center!!! You should definitely check out this cool cool bridge!

Definitely worth going to look at, the tallest in nation which says alot. I've been to so many in this country.
Amy P — Google review
I really enjoyed visiting this covered bridge - it's one of the tallest (if not the tallest) covered bridge in America! So pretty to walk through, and we ended up at the Covered Bridge Equestrian center on the other side where we could walk around and see the cute horses and donkeys!
Hannah E — Google review
It's pretty cool to live in the neighborhood of historic sites and taking visitors to many local interesting places namely - The Felton Covered Bridge is a covered bridge over the San Lorenzo River in Felton, Santa Cruz County in the U.S. state of California. Built in 1892, the bridge employs a Brown truss structural system and is approximately 80 feet long 35 feet tall. The bridge became a California Historical Landmark in 1957, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and had a major restoration in 1987 after being damaged in storms in the winter of 1982. It is considered to be the tallest covered bridge in the United States, and was the main entry point for Felton for 45 years. The bridge is no longer used on the roadway, but is accessible to pedestrians visiting the Felton Covered Bridge Park. Source: wikipedia

Hallcrest Vineyards is a historic winery located near downtown Felton, offering high-quality, low-intervention wines in a picturesque setting surrounded by redwoods. The vineyard's sunny meadow and apple orchard contribute to the production of varietals like Pinot Noir and their specialty Scrumpy Cider. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a glass of wine or cider on the outdoor patio overlooking the stunning estate.
Came here on our Guess Where Trips surprise itinerary, and I'm so glad we did! The setting is absolutely perfect, and the winery building itself is super cute and rustic. They have a gorgeous dog-friendly patio with incredible views - perfect for sipping their delicious wine. I tried the viognier and my partner tried one of their ciders - both were really good! Definitely come out here if you're in the area!
Hannah E — Google review
This winery is nestled in beautiful nature. The owner is a very kind gentleman with wonderful conversation—he chats with everyone without any intention of just selling something or rushing you out. Some people were even having a picnic with the food they brought from home. And there’s a very sweet dog named Bodi. Cozy, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. The ciders are amazing!
Ayse D — Google review
What a beautiful gem! We loved our first visit sitting out in the patio enjoying the butterflies and fresh breeze with our flight of ciders. We will definitely return soon.
T M — Google review
Nice spot. Great views, good selection. Didn't drink the wine, but really enjoyed the ciders and brought a couple bottles home! Pomegranate was my favorite. Ample parking too, but very steep incline getting in and out of the lot – if you have a sports car like I do, you might want to park down the street instead. Enjoyed the live music here on a Saturday afternoon. Friendly staff who are locals, and tasting room/seating area has a nice, welcoming ambiance. I recommend it!

I am totally blown away by the graciousness and generosity of the entire Hallcrest Vineyards family. We volunteered at the Ukraine fundraiser hosted by Hallcrest and it was incredible to see how much impact a business that cares can make on the world. The vineyard offered it’s beautiful setting and scenery while the owners and staff all volunteered their time and donated half of their sales for a cause that a very large portion of the population cares about, based on the hundreds of people that showed up. There was delicious wine and cider, Ukrainian folk dancing and music by Zoloti Maky, beautiful flower crowns weaved by local florist Swallows Secret Garden, even Ukrainian food by Chicken Foot! It was a busy day with something fun happening in every corner of the vineyard, with all the vendors volunteering their time for the enjoyment of the many attendees who wanted to show and raise support for Ukraine by celebrating Ukrainian culture with their friends and families! It’s things like this that can change the world!

Nice place. The owner us wonderful, very understaffed, but he does hus best. Nice place to park. They recently changed their HH page, when I reserved generators were ok. They are not anymore. Very peaceful. Loved the wines. The Ciders are below average at best. I like ciders alot. These were not super good. We liked our stay. We broke a Stabilizer bar entering the lot, beware we only have a 23 foot trailer. There are scars all over the dip were others have gouged their hitches in. Be very very careful. Overall very nice stay, but we probably won't be back mostly because of the driveway.

Overlooking a sunny expanse of meadow encircled by the Santa Cruz Mountains, Hallcrest is a delicious respite tucked into the mountain near downtown Felton. Live music on weekends on the bed of the old farm truck, you can hear the train whistle from Roaring Camp. A highly recommended experience. Kid and dog friendly. Responsibly socially distanced, an afternoon at Hallcrest is a bit of joy in strange times.

The second-growth redwood forest in Felton provides an easy and beautiful hike with clear markings and good trail paths. Visitors can witness the well-preserved lime kilns, gaining insight into their historical significance and imagining past forest activities.
Very fun and interesting to see. It’s an easy and beautiful hike of a little over a mile. The lime kilns were very impressive and much larger than I expected. Definitely worth the hike.
Roger N — Google review
Just in case there's not parking in the way!! the entrance to the park is in Fall Creek unit. We came with maps thinking there was a trial or something but we just were in the middle of the road. To this point we walked less than an hour. There's lots of trials so if you really want to enjoy the go early. The parking is not big and we parked in the street like 4 mins from here to the entrance of the park.

Henry Cowell Redwoods State park's one of the trails: Fall creek to Old Lime Kiln ruins ~3 mile loop starts near Felton with easy access from Santa Cruz or Scotts Valley off Hwy 9 (On a Sunday afternoon, found parking (free) at the beginning of the trailhead and completed the loop in 1.5hrs. It's an easy hike with a bit of elevation, hike takes you through calming Redwoods and the sound of flowing water creek with clear markings and good trail path. Next time would like to continue onto other trails. Highly recommend this trail that is easy and kids can enjoy and may be able to get into water on a summer day.
Info S — Google review
Fascinating piece of history deep in the redwoods. Overgrown with ferns and moss, but that adds to the sense of the passing of time. There is a board with information about the historical significance of the kilns.

Looking forward to spending time at this establishment! The anticipation is exhilarating. Socks&Sandals is the preferred choice, as they offer a plethora of delectable options. Don't forget to take some food to go and share the greatness with others. It's noteworthy that Humble Sea beer is also available in Phoenix, emphasizing that life is too short for subpar brews. Indulge in their exceptional offerings and celebrate Humble Sea's commitment to quality beer and success.
Fantastic food. Best burgers (sorry Empire). Great service and cocktails are awesome. The mushroom grilled sandwich also a hit. The tater tots the best. Could use a variety of food (this is where Empire does better) but in general, great place and awesome atmosphere

All of the main course selections were sold out and our waiter did it know why or when the dish selections can be available again. We waited outside for 5 mins since we have group of 8 and until I found out there are actually tables available to be combined together inside and we didn’t need to wait up. I would be better if the receptionist can told us all main course selections were sold out from the very beginning as well. For the price of the food, it needs some improvement. Pull pork burger taste too sweet. Please do not order creamy potato soup. It doesn’t taste good. It is hard to finish. Potato prices are big. They sell variety of draft beers. If you come here for beer tasting, it’s a good spot but it’s not a good spot for decent food selections.

This review is of the Tavern (5 stars) and Bread Boy Smash Burgers (2 stars). Been wanting to try his burgers for a while, missed him by one week on 41st street. His burgers in a dark French gravy looked amazing. Tonight I got what turned out to be a breakfast sandwich with what amounts to a bechanel sauce, very bland! The fries were OK, spent $7 more to have the same bland sauce dumped on them. The OG smash burger was better but still overhyped and overpriced. None of this was worth it to me, not the money, calories or time and effort getting here. The staff, both bread boy and the tavern were excellent, especially the tavern staff. The beers... Excellent! The food, meh.
Carl O — Google review
Delicious everything. Got to try eggs, smash burger, burrata. And simply awesome French fries. Awesome selection of beers, properly chilled and served in British glasses. Must visit when in the area.
Andrew B — Google review
Food was very tasty, and the service was great and quick. I got the pulled pork sandwich and my husband got the mushroom melt; the pork was good but I was really jealous of the mushroom melt, my husband gave me a bite and man it was delicious! The tots with the spicy seasoning were also really good. The meal was a little on the pricier side but that’s to be expected in this area.
Ashley H — Google review
The place itself is fine, but the prices are way too high for the quality. We ordered a “Caesar” salad for $20 — it was just lettuce, dressing, grated cheese, and capers. Very disappointing. I even asked for bread or croutons, but they said no. Definitely not worth the price.

Humble Sea Tavern is like an oasis when you get lost on the back roads after making a wrong turn in the Santa Cruz Mountains…. This location is in the heart of Felton. It has easy access to the highway & in the middle of town with other shops, dining & grocery. They have a really nice pub menu & dining options to pair with a wide selection of their popular beer on tap. We chose the special Fuego Cheese Burger. It was served with a heaping pile of. Fries. The burger was delicious & was topped with fresh ingredients. Humble Sea is Santa Cruz favorite & I can see why. The decor was tasteful, well done & felt like it was a business that was there for ever. Good quality & friendly place.

We went on a Tuesday, so they didn’t have their full menu. We stopped by before seeing a show at the Felton Music Fall, and it was a perfect pregame spot with naughty sandwiches to fill ur tummy. Seems like a popular spot in Felton. Got in just in time for dinner and then the place completely filled up! Nice servers and bartender . Plenty of "bite" options. Large bites , round bites, small bites lol I had sal n was very good . My buddy had a crab and salmon burger I think . He really loved it with fries! Full bar It gets LOUD! A lot of hard surfaces in there and if one table is loud EVERYBODY GETS IT . They really need some acoustic panels on the ceiling . Good place! I recommend the lava cake with ice cream for dessert !

Everything on the menu looked really good, and then everything we ordered was delicious. The Crab and shrimp Louie was big, with lots of extra veggies and a entire half of a avocado. The chicken piccata was massive, and came with real mashed potatoes. My mushroom burger was really juicy, and had plenty of mushrooms on it. The French fries were really crispy and coated, like that stuff you get on curly fries at the fair. I would highly recommend this place! Service was friendly too.

Excellent lunch choices available. Though we only intended to grab a snack, the garden salad appetizer surprised us with its generous portion of super fresh local produce. They also provide kids' portions, and the chicken strips were delicious and satisfying. The service was great, and the place was clean.

Eat here. Our server was clever, swift, and accommodating. The food arrived startlingly fast, and it was beyond delicious, not to mention reasonably priced. I had the rigatoni bolognese, crab cakes, a side Caesar and the chocolate lava cake with ice cream. This meal was the highlight of a spectacular trip, and frankly one of the better dinners in my life. When I next ride in Santa Cruz, I expect I will stay in Felton specifically to dine at this restaurant.

This was my son's best meal of the trip. He said he loved his burger. We ate here when visiting the Henry Cowell State Park. It was very convenient, just a few minutes away. I didn't like my salad but everybody else loved their food. Service was great. The restroom was odd, there was only one for everyone and the door was very difficult to lock and unlock. We had to wait a very long time to use the restroom - and there was only one other table of guests when we were there!

This place had such good food!!!! The fries are so crunchy but soft on the inside! The crunchy bread on the sandwiches, clam chowder was better than lobster bisque in Ruth’s Chris restaurant! I just gotta say that I’ll come back here for the amazing food and the sweet lady that served us. She was so sweet and patient with our kids.
