Nestled in the heart of the magnificent Grand Canyon National Park, the Grand Canyon Visitor Center is more than just a place for gathering information. It serves as a bustling hub offering various services and experiences. Visitors can find everything from bike rentals to coffee, exhibits showcasing historical artifacts, and even a gift shop. This vibrant center is not just a pit stop but rather a comprehensive starting point for exploring the wonders of the Grand Canyon.
The park is a great place to explore. We arrived just after 8am, the queues to get in were small and the parking was easy. It cost us $35 dollars for the seven day pass, which was the cheaper option. We really preferred the quieter spots on the south rim. We stopped by the museum which had great views and had less people than the village or visitor centre. A must see!

Standing on the Edge of Time: A Day at the Grand Canyon There are few places on Earth that can truly take your breath away the way the Grand Canyon does. No matter how many photos you’ve seen, nothing prepares you for that first moment when the land suddenly drops away and an ocean of red rock, cliffs, and shadows stretches out farther than your eyes can see. I arrived early in the morning, when the sun was just starting to paint the sky with pale pinks and golds. The canyon looked alive — shadows shifting with every minute as light spilled into the deep ridges and valleys. It felt like standing on the edge of time itself, staring into millions of years of Earth’s history carved by the Colorado River. What Makes It So Special Endless Views: Every lookout point shows you a new perspective, from layered cliffs to winding rivers below. Colors That Change with the Day: Sunrise paints it soft and glowing, while sunset turns the rocks fiery red and deep purple. Wild Encounters: Keep your eyes open for elk, bighorn sheep, and the soaring California condors. A Place to Pause What I loved most wasn’t just the scale of the canyon, but the way it makes you feel small in the best way. Standing there, you can’t help but reflect — about life, about how fleeting time really is compared to the stones beneath your feet. The Grand Canyon isn’t just a destination. It’s a reminder that the world is so much bigger, more beautiful, and more powerful than we often stop to notice.

Beautiful scenery, gorgeous natural wonder, one must see and add to your bucket list. But at it was raining so wasn't able to enjoy the full experience. Free shuttles, friendly staff and everything was laid out in a simple and understandable navigational manner. But pricing for souvenirs, food, and hotel accommodations overwhelm the experience. Do you need to charge $40 for a $5 T-shirt, $30 for a $10 cup? I get it you've taken a natural treasure and made it into a lucrative business that only the privileged can enjoy for a large fee. Welcome to America. Even though, I still enjoyed and appreciated the experience. I hope the indigenous people get something more than just a job in the gift shop and 30 minute story in Imax of how it used to belong to them.

Loved the park. Everyone was so kind. So shocked to see so many Europeans there. Guess because its holiday time there and the euro is doing better than the dollar. We saw most of the park. Even took a helicopter ride but avoided the main visitor center. Instead we went to the geological center. Less people better experience.

We arrived at the South Rim around 9:00 AM and had to wait about 30 minutes in traffic just to get through the entrance gate. Once inside, we also had to wait in line again for the tourist shuttle bus, which added to the overall time before we could really start exploring. The shuttle bus itself is convenient for getting around, but expect some waiting, especially during peak hours. There are plenty of restaurants inside the park, but we found them to be on the expensive side, so we skipped them and instead brought along an easy lunch, which we enjoyed at the end of the bus tour. The views of the canyon are absolutely worth the hassle—breathtaking and unlike anything else. Just be prepared for some waiting and higher food prices.

My wife and I decided to visit the majestic Grand Canyon 🏞️. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and we spent hours marveling at the vastness of the canyon. I highly recommend this place to everyone who appreciates natural beauty; it's an experience like no other. The trails are well-maintained and offered different levels of difficulty, making it suitable for various fitness levels. To top it all off, the area is very pet-friendly 🐕, which was a massive plus for us. I suggest you visit it once in your life, it's truly unforgettable! #GrandCanyon #Travel #Adventure #PetFriendly #Nature

One of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world! Visiting the Grand Canyon has always been a dream for me, and experiencing it in person was truly breathtaking. The vast landscapes, the stunning red rock formations, and the peaceful atmosphere make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I visited with my friends, and every view felt simply magical. The Grand Canyon is absolutely amazing — a must-visit destination for everyone!”

The Grand Canyon national park is a must see sight. Plenty to see and do for visitors of all ages. A free shuttle to take you around to different points if you would rather sit back and relax during your visit. Lots of roads and pull overs for the perfect photo. The shops in the village are great and you can even rent a bike or e-bike to have a leisurely ride around the rim. If you are athletic, you must try the bright angel trail down the side of the canyon. It will be an unforgettable experience.

Mather Point is a popular scenic viewpoint located along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It offers stunning canyon vistas and is conveniently close to the visitor center. Yavapai Point, situated west of Mather Point, provides an equally breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon Village area. From Yavapai Point, visitors can admire various landmarks such as the Bright Angel Trail, Indian Gardens, Phantom Ranch, and even catch a glimpse of the Colorado River and its suspension bridge.
Absolutely stunning views—Mather Point is a must-visit! This was our first stop at the Grand Canyon, and it left us speechless. The views are incredible and give you that classic, jaw-dropping Grand Canyon experience. It’s easily accessible from the visitor center, and the paved pathways make it great for all ages. We were lucky enough to catch both sunrise and sunset here—and both were absolutely amazing. The way the light hits the canyon walls creates the most vibrant colors and peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to just take a breath and appreciate the natural beauty. There’s plenty of space to take in the scenery and snap photos without feeling rushed or crowded. A perfect introduction to the South Rim—don’t skip it!

Grand Canyon was on my bucket list, and I had the chance to visit this wonderful place during a business trip in Las Vegas. We came with a tiny plane. The journey alone was also stunning. We saw the Hoverdam from above, which also was breathtaking. I wished I made some proper notes, from where we started at Grand Canyon and where we ended. But anyways I was privileged to see this beautiful nature.

Spectacular view of the Canyon. The walk from the parking lot was on paved walkways that led us to the overlook. There were restrooms and a gift shop in the area. The visitors center was unfortunately closed. There was also a bus shuttle transfer to places in the park. The busses were free and made the park easy to get around.

I heard this is the first recommended spot on the South Rim. It's really cool; you can see the Grand Canyon after walking just two minutes from the parking lot. You can probably explore the area in about 15 minutes. The scenery is magnificent, but we went at noon. For someone who loves to take more artistic photos, it might feel a bit ordinary because there's less change in the light and shadows.

Our first visit to the Grand Canyon was unforgettable! Mather Point truly captures the canyon’s grandeur — the sweeping views, dramatic cliffs, and vibrant colors are simply mesmerizing. It’s conveniently located near the visitor center, with easy, stroller-friendly walkways perfect for families. There’s ample space for photos and quiet moments to soak in the view. An ideal first stop on the South Rim and a must-see for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon!

Amazing! This place was absolutely breathtaking. I cried. Stay after dark to see the amazing stars. Grand Canyon is a dark sky park,so they limit the light pollution. I saw the Milky way and a shooting star!

Perfect place to view sunrise over the Canyon. Two stars less for poor design w.r.t pedestrian safety : The pathway to the view point at the parking has a potential slip and trip point (marked in one of the pics). I tripped and fell despite looking and walking (it was partly dark and I didn't expect the kerb). It is strange to have an elevation difference at the entry to the walkway unmarked. Didn't expect this in an otherwise professionally done set up

Experience the magic of a bygone era with a journey on the Grand Canyon Railway, a historic train that takes passengers on a scenic ride to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. This heritage railroad, which dates back to 1901, offers travelers an opportunity to witness Arizona's stunning landscapes while reliving the romance of classic rail travel. Departing from Williams, Arizona, the train travels 64 miles through picturesque terrain before reaching its destination at Grand Canyon National Park.
We hit up the gift shop before the ride, and it was great. The experience on the train was delightful. The crew was fantastic. The snacks were delicious, and the service was the best. The entertainment was fun also. Highly recommend this fun way to travel to the Grand Canyon!

This was so much more than I could ever have imagined! Johnny Arizona was the absolute best guide! He made the trip so much more memorable. The music during our ride was great! The Western Show was fun to see! We also took a bus tour at the Grand Canyon… it’s the best way to see as much as you can if you only have 1 day!

My dad and I took the Grand Canyon Railway from Williams, Arizona to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The train depot itself is well-maintained and carries a strong sense of historic charm. As we waited for the train, there was a quiet sense of anticipation. Watching the massive Iron Horse pull into the station felt like stepping back in time. The ride itself took about two hours. As we curved through the mountains and passed beneath the tall pines, I found myself reflecting on what the early pioneers must have felt. There’s something powerful in watching the land roll by at a slower pace—a reminder of both the natural world and the strength of human innovation. The rhythm of the train was deeply calming. It brought to mind the steady beat in old country songs—the kind of rhythm you hear in Johnny Cash records. Now I understand why so many artists wrote with that cadence in mind. It’s not just musical; it’s historical. It’s part of the American experience. If you're someone who appreciates history, nature, and the changing eras of human life, this ride offers a rare chance to feel the 1800s. One of my favorite moments was simply watching the train bend and wind its way between the mountains—a quiet, almost cinematic experience. The overall aesthetic is vintage and authentic. This isn’t just transportation—it’s a window into a different time. I highly recommend it.

this ride is well worth it! the williams depot is original and beautifully restored. we rode first class and it was a very comfortable ride. lots of leg room and the seats recline. our car attendant was very knowledgeable and friendly and she made a mean hot chocolate. we had live music up and back, that was fun. from scrub desert to mountain pines, the scenery was varied and amazing. arrival at the grand canyon was easy. a short walk to the edge of the canyon. the original depot is still there and is lovely. it was my first visit to the canyon and honestly, while what is viewable is amazing, it is a limited perspective. plenty of options for food when you get there but my advice is to eat first, wander later as the wait gets longer at the restaurants. we do not recommend the Harvey house, the server was pleasant, but the service was slow and the food was underwhelming. the ride back to williams was pleasant, more music, more hot chocolate and a tiny nap and a final surprise. be prepared for variable weather!!!! we went in mid October, we were prepared but even in mid summer it can turn on you.

Grand Canyon Railway was amazing! My wife & I have been to the Grand Canyon a few times and this was the most fun and stress free (No driving/parking,etc.) way to get there and see everything. The train experience itself was incredible. Before the ride, there was a really cool old west show, then along the ride, there were entertainers on the train and we looked out the window and saw a gang of train robbers on horseback coming after us! Too cool! All of the staff worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time. food and drink options were great and reasonably priced. The train took us to the south canyon rim, where there are shuttles that take you to several amazing viewpoints. The whole trip was awesome. fun for the whole family. One suggestion; Pay the little extra to get a seat in one of the cars with the bubble like windows up top.(See photos) the scenery from that vantage point was phenomenal. I hope to make it back for this experience again some day. Just to put my experience in perspective, we took this trip in "2014" and it is still one of the greatest and most vivid travel memories I have.

Riding the Grand Canyon Railway has been an outstanding experience! The enjoyable camaraderie amongst fellow travelers, amazing scenery viewed through large windows, and the guide-like knowledge shared by our car attendant (along with his wonderful sense of humor), made for an unforgettable experience. The bandits' "hold-up" of the train was fun!

We highly recommend the Grand Canyon Railway! This was my very first experience on a train, and it couldn’t have been more delightful. The entire trip was comfortable, scenic, and full of charm — from the moment we boarded until we reached the Grand Canyon, every detail was thoughtfully done. Our car attendant, Teryl, made the journey even more special. She was such a pleasure — kind, attentive, and full of fascinating stories that brought the history of the railway and the region to life. Her humor and warmth made everyone feel welcome and kept the ride entertaining the whole way. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable way to see the Grand Canyon, this is absolutely it. The combination of beautiful views, vintage charm, and wonderful staff makes it an experience you’ll never forget. We can’t wait to do it again!

If you plan on going to see the Grand Canyon, this is the best way to do it. While the overall experience has updated a tiny bit through the years, the charm is still ever present. Please, ensure that you book ahead and think heavily about running packages through the railway to ensure close dining and lodging. All aboard the peaceful way to the south rim!

Conveniently situated near popular attractions like Bright Angel Trailhead and Grand Canyon Railway, the lodge provides easy access to the natural wonders of the area. Stayed in a basic, cute cabin( no fireplace or view) at bright angel. Great location-5’ walk to the rim and also eating. Parking was handy. The parks service has done an amazing job with keeping things up to date, but in keeping with the atmosphere.Every employee was friendly and patiently helpful and I think happy to be working there!!

Location, location, location! That gives this place 5 stars. We stayed in the Powell lodge. This isn’t a 4 star fancy place. But you are literally steps away from the rim. Like 15-20 steps. Depending what room, even closer. There are some rooms that do not have a bathroom in the room so you are sharing, we had an in room bathroom. There is no AC. We are here in October and thought it would be good. It got stuffy at night but you can open the window. There were also no TVs in the rooms we had but we didn’t need it. We were not in the room much. We ate at the cafe onsite twice which was surprising pretty good.

I just returned from a trip visiting the south rim of the Grand Canyon and I had reserved 2 rooms in the Bright Angel Lodge last year. Much to my surprise, we were in one of the smaller cabins which was just steps to the rim trail. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We had some delicious dinner food and drinks in the Harvey House bar and we used the shuttle service that was close by. It was a great experience and will hopefully have another chance to return.

THIS is the place to stay when visiting the Grand Canyon. Cabins are nothing fancy, but quaint, clean and cozy. You walk out your door and to the Canyon rim in 30 seconds. Unbelievable! Very nice people, good food in the restaurant, well designed shuttle services. We enjoyed out stay very much.

Simple, comfortable rooms with a great location close to the Bright Angel Trail. We stayed in the Buckey Lodge in a double queen room with private bathroom and were surprisingly pleased. Didn’t know what to expect from a lodge, but we were happy with the cleanliness and convenience. You can even stargaze right from the parking lot, with the entire Milky Way visible at night. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Uday K — Google review
Our stay at Bright Angel Lodge was absolutely sublime! Right outside our window was the most stunning view of the Grand Canyon and we could just walk outside to walk the south rim. Breakfast at Harvey House was delicious and all staff were friendly and welcoming.

Bright Angel Lodge was a last minute decision we will never forget! After camping several days, we decided to upgrade for the last night. We didn’t want to break the bank, but just have a bit more space to rest and regroup. Shared baths can always be a bit dicey but these were cleaned often and I never had to wait. (We visited mid October.) The room was old (there’s history there!) but updated. The restaurant attached to the lodge served many of the same items as Arizona Steakhouse, which was just up the walk. The west village of the Grand Canyon south rim has a slightly Disney feel, but after roughing it several days, it was nice to be pampered.
Vikki C — Google review
Firstly, the staff were all brilliant and are the only reason this was not a 1 star review. The room was clean and tidy and the location is fantastic, right next to the rim. The issue is the room itself though. These are connected cabins with a room separated by a door just down the side of the bed. The issue is that this door has a manual lock that can be operated by either room. There is a small hanging sign on the door handle telling you to keep the door lock turned keep the door locked. However, as we found out, if the person in the other room does not or cannot read this sign, they can just unlock the door on their side and walk into your room. As such, I had a very awkward encounter with the person that had just checked into the room next door, as they assumed it was just another section of their room. This really does not feel secure. There is a small safe in the room, but anything that does not fit into it, could quite easily be stolen if the person next door is not trustworthy. I honestly do not know why the rooms are not able to be locked by the staff and only unlocked if they are to be used by people requesting connecting rooms. Having a trust system seems very risky. If it wasn't for this, it would have been a 5 star stay. Unfortunately, due to the lack of room security, we would not stay again.

Steak house
Yippee-Ei-O! Steakhouse is a popular Tusayan restaurant known for its quality meals and excellent service. Despite initial concerns about its rating, a group of 15 was pleasantly surprised by the immediate seating, attentive staff, and delicious food and drinks. The menu offers plenty of variety, and the alcoholic drinks are notably strong. The atmosphere is quaint with a typical southwestern vibe, while the cowboy steak and cowgirl dishes were outstanding.
We really loved our meals here! The waiter was extremely helpful and attentive. He came back to our table several times to make sure everything was good for us. They brought out our kids spaghetti meals first so they could eat theirs hot while we ate our salads. Yes, the salad comes out in one bowl to share, but there are tongs and separate plates to move the salad for each person. It was more than enough for 2 people and fresh ingredients. If you don’t like dressing poured over top, just request to have the ranch on the side. The cornbread was split into 2 for each of us, but I thought the portion was just fine with how much food the dinner plates come with. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. I got medium and my husband got medium rare, and it was one of the first steak restaurants to do it perfectly in a very long time. Our meal also came with a baked potato that was cooked well, and half a corn on the cob. The pinto beans were brought out in a little cauldron to share, but there were more than enough for the both of us for how much food we had. They weren’t the best, and we would have preferred baked beans, but we still ate them. We loved the western atmosphere, and the restaurant was very clean. It was very expensive— about $175 for 2 kid meals and the steak meals with 2 margaritas, and they added some gratuity already into the bill. We expected to pay a lot in the area though. Overall we were very happy with our meal and service here!

If you love great food with lots of flavor and great customer service, DO NOT EAT HERE! The zucchini and fried mushrooms were overcooked and overpriced. The beans were just out of a can so watery and absolutely no seasoning. The potato skins were bland. We wanted to send the beans back and they said you ordered them , you pay for them. They automatically charged a 15 percent tip and it was rude service and very very disappointing. By all means DO NOT EAT HERE! If they had an option of zero stars or less it would be appropriate for this restaurant.
Denise J — Google review
The food tasted mediocre. Ordered the grilled chicken with spaghetti and it tasted rather bland and slightly burnt. A friend ordered a vegetarian dish and it turned out to be a plate of mostly raw vegetables. The service was acceptable. There is little motivation to come back again

We had a really good experience at the Yippee-Ei-O! Steakhouse. The atmosphere is definitely old-school cowboy decor, in a really nice way. Our food was really good, served hot and in a really reasonable time. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back again.

We ordered a 24-oz Tenderloin and turns out it was a T-bone served to us. The steak was also significantly overcooked and overall me and my friend think the meal was definitely overpriced (Menu’s price have been raised compared to the photos we saw on review). The only good thing is they served the wine in a good portion. Waiters are nice though. Disappointed
Daniel C — Google review
Very disappointing experience. The breaded mushrooms were burnt, the chicken was paper-thin, drier than shoe leather, and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. The baked potato was just as bad—undercooked and hard in the center. We also ordered the burger and steak fries, but the fries were raw in the middle. Worst of all, everything was completely lacking in flavor. The only halfway decent item was the corn—and let’s be honest, it’s hard to mess up boiled corn. We weren’t the only ones leaving plates full of uneaten food. For the price, the quality was unacceptable. Definitely do not recommend.
Josh — Google review
Wood fired steaks were terrific. The beans were delicious, and the corn was sweet. Atmosphere was a typical cowboy motif with country music playing. The waiter was attentive.

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center, located at the South Rim, serves as an informative hub for visitors to the iconic landmark. Here, guests can obtain park entrance tickets, maps, and brochures while receiving guidance from knowledgeable local representatives on tours and special events in the area. The center also features an IMAX theater showcasing 'Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets,' offering a thrilling virtual experience of soaring over the canyon and rafting the Colorado River.
"We embarked on a thrilling Helicopter tour combined with a Colorado river boat tour at West Rim, which provided an incredible experience. While the helicopter ride was a bit nerve-wracking, it turned out to be fantastic. The river tour transported us to a completely different world, offering a tranquil and serene atmosphere."

Grand Canyon Village is the perfect hub for exploring the South Rim. The views are great, and being able to walk right up to the rim from the lodges, restaurants, and shops makes it super convenient. There’s a great mix of history (the old railway depot, El Tovar Hotel, Hopi House) and practical amenities. It does get crowded, especially mid-day and during peak seasons. I loved being able to stay right inside the park — sunrise and sunset felt magical without the hassle of driving in and out. Parking can be tricky at times, so using the shuttle buses is a smart idea. Overall, it’s the best base if you want comfort, history, and immediate access to the canyon rim. Restaurants are a bit over priced and don't waste your money on the sunset tour. Take the free shuttle buses that will drive you to the exact same places the sunset tour buses take you to. The accommodations were pleasant and comfortable, maid service great though overall the hotels could do with some maintenance. Eg door locks are difficult, light switches are hard to operate, etc

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with friendly staff and a wealth of information about the Grand Canyon. The interactive exhibits are both educational and engaging, making it a great stop for visitors of all ages. The IMAX movie is a highlight, offering breathtaking views and a deeper understanding of the canyon’s history and geology. The Explorer’s Cafe is perfect for a quick bite, and the gift shop has a fantastic selection of souvenirs. Overall, the Visitor Center enhances the Grand Canyon experience and is well worth the visit!

I thought everything was wonderful! Of course, it was my 81st birthday and the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon was great. Then I just had to take the ground tour of the South Rim in the Pink Jeep. After that was the IMAX movie of the Grand Canyon. What more could I ask for. Well, the best tasting and best cooked steak ever at the STEAK E House. Great Sunday birthday on 23 June 2024.

Really great experience so much to do before you even get to the canyon. When you get there and you have kids go to the family visitor center there are cool souvenirs and you can get the kids sighned up to be Jr. Rangers and pick up badges at any or all National Parks. The Canyon was truly an amazing site and you can take different busses for free to see other sites while you are there. Also if you have a family member with a disability you can get in for free and that member can receive a card to get in free for life to all National Parks.

Update: came back and was lucky enough to catch the sunrise and snow on the ground! I This place is beautiful regardless of the time of year. Original post: The views are amazing and a great way to spend quality time outside with family. I would recommend blocking out a whole day, 2 if you are coming from far away and want to hike. We had dogs with us so we were limited on what trails we could do but even the kids were impressed! Will be going back without dogs to do trails below the rim and see more areas. Words can't describe how big this is!!

Cafe
Harvey House Cafe is a classic eatery located inside Bright Angel Lodge near the Grand Canyon trailhead. The cafe offers a variety of classic diner fare and some special Southwestern dishes. Visitors can also explore the small museum, Bright Angel History Room, inside the lodge, which focuses on Fred Harvey, the Harvey Girls, architect Mary Colter, and the Santa Fe Railroad. The restaurant's design is inspired by Mary Colter's work.
For atmosphere, you can’t get much better than right by the Grand Canyon. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. I got a half-sized southwest Caesar salad that was super good. I also got the fajita chicken quesadilla, and it was pretty big and I had to give half to my husband. It was pretty good, but the salad was better. My husband loved the fish and chips!

Food portion was very generous - one portion could almost definitely be shared between two people. For breakfast, we had and really enjoyed the ‘country skillet’. The dinner items we had were also fine - the steak was good, but the others were okay. The servers in the morning during breakfast were beyond lovely, full of positivity and helpfulness. Servers during dinner time were fine, slightly less visible for help if needed compared to the breakfast servers.

Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon during our visit to the Grand Canyon. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices as to be expected for the tourist area (some items seemed pretty decently priced, while others seemed a little high). -Green Chili Tamales (good quality/taste) -Chips Salsa & Guac (desperately needed seasoning) -Side Southwest Caesar Salad (large portion, good taste) Overall, would recommend for a nice, casual sitdown meal during your break visiting the Grand Canyon.

Mediocre food but excellent service. Ate both dinner and breakfast here. The pot roast was a very small portion for the price and nothing special. The southwest Caesar salad was unique and tasted pretty good, while the molten chocolate cake for dessert was pretty great. Biscuits and gravy were good but the huevos rancheros eggs were flavorless and the tortillas tasted stale. Our waiter at dinner was amazing! He was funny and helpful, digging up a chocolate cake for us even though he thought they had sold out. He also chased us down when we forgot our credit card after paying the bill. Thank you!!

We had a great dinner and our server was very attentive. The place is bright and has sitting with partial view to the canyon. We had the half chicken with mashed potatoes, the western salad and the apple crisp a la mode which is homemade.

A bit hard to review when you've had 4 meals here and most were average to good and one was truly bad. It's a café so don't get your hopes up wrt to Michelin starred meals. It's always easy to find a place here even without a reservation. And rates are reasonable. And the staff excellent - run off their feet but still smiley and pleasant. This is one of the 3-4 restaurants inside the Grand Canyon Village. That said I will just talk about the one really disappointing meal I had here. I ordered Avacado toast with one egg and it was delivered stone cold. Instead of apologizing for the meal, the waiter gave me a litany of excuses: it was under the cold meal section. I'd have urged him to look at the menu but I didn't think of it then. Under the section I ordered there's also pancakes etc... Does that mean those are served cold too? I think not especially as my husband ordered the corn pancakes and it was quite warm. I've had Avocado toast with an egg on top hundreds of times, and its NEVER EVER been served cold. He said the avocado UNDERNEATH made it cold! Really?!! Then he also told me that the balsamic reduction on top of the toast was also instrumental in making it cold. Yes there was a light drizzle of the reduction on the toast + egg, but it was a slight one and the top was not smothered by it, certainly not enough to make the dish cold. Please see image. He did offer to replace it, but I did not have the time and made do with my husband's meal. It's isn't his fault, he didn't cook it, but perhaps a better understanding of what he is serving, an apology and not defend - and continue to defend - the indefensible?!!! That was really pissing off.

TLDR: Good food, good service, great atmosphere and depending on where you sit, pleasant views. There was an exceptionally long wait at the main entrance but over at the bar, tables are first come, first served! We found a table as another group was leaving (they told us to take their table to avoid a long wait!) We started with a few drinks- although honestly I don’t remember what we ordered. The beer on draught list is pretty good- and I know I ordered something from there but don’t remember what. Oh well! It was good! For appetizer, we ordered the Southwest Queso Cheese Dip (Zesty Cheese Dip, Tri Color Tortilla Chips) which was pretty good. One of us ordered the Tortilla Black Bean Soup (Black Beans, Hominy, Corn Green Chili. Fire Roasted Tomatoes, Southwest Spices, Chipotle Pepper, Tortilla Strips) and enjoyed it. It wasn’t too hot, and was a decent amount of food without being too much. Green Chili Corn Tamale (Southwest Rice, Roasted Green Chili, Ranchero Sauce, Lime Crema, Cotija Cheese) - I ordered this and it was fantastic! One of my favorite meals while in Arizona! I would highly recommend. Chicken Club Sandwich (Fried or Grilled Chicken Breast, Bacon Swiss Cheese, Green Onion Mayo, Lettuce Tomato, Onion, Pickle, French Fries) -one member in our party ordered this and said that it was good but very filling, so she only finished half of it. Spaghetti Western (Spaghetti, Meatballs, Zesty Marinara Parmesan Cheese, Garlic Toast) - the person who ordered this loved it and would recommend. I’d recommend eating here. The staff is lives, friendly and gets the food out quickly.

Pizza Takeout
Pizza Hut Express is a well-known chain offering delivery, carry-out, and dine-in options for pizza, wings, pasta, sides, and desserts. It's recognized for its focus on cost-cutting and standardization in line with fast food industry practices. While some consider it unhealthy, others praise the freshly prepared pizzas as a satisfying option after a long day.
I had the best pizza in my life, pizzas are fluffy and smooth, they immediately melted in mouth. Wish all pizza huts have the recipe of this store.

Horrible customer service/management. An employee came out and confronted my family member simply because they accidentally mixed water with orange Gatorade in their water cup. The employee then told them to immediately dump the water and forced my family member to buy proper fountain drink cups, which cost them $8. That same employee confronted another tourist family because they split their drink that they PAID for into separate water cups for their kids. Once they objected, they threatened to bring out the manager to kick them out. Once the manager came, the family dumped their drinks and left. This same employee proceeded to walk up to every table and inspect to see if the customers obeyed their authoritarian-like rules. No employee should ever act like this to their customers.

Pizza is ok but pasta was really bad. It didn't cook properly so we thru out. This location looks like doing business with large group tours. Small kitchen with self service order and huge seating area.

My husband just came back with pizza. He said he asked Brittaz for a fresh one and she said “they ARE fresh.” Girl. They were not fresh. They might’ve been fresh this morning but it’s now nighttime and they are not fresh. Why couldn’t she just make a new one? My son said to call them buttheads and I have to admit that’s a fair appraisal.

The good: Food was OK and got to do a little shopping while we waited. The not so good: We ordered a chicken basket and they gave us a shrimp basket. When I asked for the correct order I got so much attitude. My 9 year old isn't going to eat shrimp, maybe she just pushed the wrong button. Cool, that's fine. I didn't receive an itemized receipt so I was unaware. As they were making the chicken basket I realized they were priced differently. They didn't offer me a refund which kind of ticked me off. When I asked for a refund to match what I actually ordered, Loren the guy was nice enough, but the lady Brittanz was huffy with me like she didn't just screw up my order. My mom's teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki in it and was plain chicken with noodles and veggies. I'm trying to be nice because working in customer service sucks, I did it for 10 years. At this point I was just done. They were rude, short with me, and were very unhygienic. I had to end up getting something from McDonald's down the road for my daughter because the girl working picked up a receipt off the floor with her gloved hand and just continued handling food! 🤢 DO NOT EAT HERE! They will treat you like an inconvenience, over charge you, and give you some sort of virus. Please eat anywhere else. The pizza place across the street has a fantastic Margherita pizza and the staff are so kind and knowledgeable about the area.

Didn't know what to expect because alot of comments were complaining. But the food is delicious and the service was great! Price is on the higher side but not uncommon for here. Definitely will be coming back.

I normally do not take pizza huts pizzas because the dominoes is making much better. Pizza Hut is pricey as well compare to the Domino’s Pizza. This place is very expensive. One medium pizzas cost $20 plus tax plus tips and it’s too much. So you do not have any choice whenever you find no options around you so you’ll have to take it down to whatever the prices and time it will need. so we will have a helicopter tour for 45 minutes later. they made pizza for us and it takes 45 minutes, which time consuming. But they made a good pizzas because we are hungry, so I should not say everything bad.
Dr. S — Google review
If you are really hungry and dont have anywhere else to go this would be a good option. They have very limited items on their menu. We ordered the pan pizza (which was the only pizza kind available) which was good, the cheese bread sticks were very soggy and chewy. Service was slow, however they were understaffed and it was Memorial weekend.

Coffee shop
Starbucks, a renowned coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, is celebrated for its distinctive coffee blends, delectable snacks, and provision of WiFi. The Tusayan branch of Starbucks aims to offer patrons an enjoyable dining experience with its array of food and beverages at reasonable prices. Despite occasional delays in service, the staff endeavors to provide exceptional assistance to customers.
Stopped in for a cup of Joe on a snowy day enroute to Grand Canyon National Park. This is your typical Starbucks that you will find almost anywhere in the USA. The store offers plenty of options with a limited food menu and there is some indoor seating and plenty of patio outdoor seating, but not today. There is plenty of free parking next to the store and the store is well-maintained. The wait to order is also typical of any Starbuck’s we visit and is to be expected. The coffee and pastries we purchased were very good and the prices were not that bad, especially considering this store’s location to the park. Finally, all our interaction with staff members were very positive – very friendly, helpful and efficient in their service.

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled within the El Tovar Hotel, the El Tovar Dining Room offers an elegant American dining experience with breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon from select tables. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for dinner, and can be made up to six months in advance with room reservations at El Tovar or 30 days in advance without. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list featuring over 100 varieties, including award-winning selections that have earned recognition from Wine Spectator magazine.
The El Tovar Dining Room is quite an experience. We reserved ahead of time and were delighted to get a window seat facing the Grand Canyon upon arrival. Although I had read many online reviews highlighting the El Tovar Hotel's location, I was still surprised by the stunning views from the Dining Room, and I'm sure other guests will find them equally spectacular. Just as unique as the location, the food was magnificent too. My breakfast consisted of the truly unique and delicious trio pancake, complete with pine nut butter and wild honey, as well as prickly pear syrup, complementing the flavorful pancakes. This, along with some good coffee, made my meal perfect. My kid and wife enjoyed the Asparagus Omelet and Spinach Omelet, served with toast, fries, etc. The grandeur of the Hotel reception and the antique pieces on display made it a memorable experience for all of us

We spent the Labor Day long weekend at the Grand Canyon with family, and since we stayed at the historic El Tovar Hotel, we also booked dinner at their dining room. Honestly, I didn’t expect much — for a restaurant right next to a major tourist attraction, I thought as long as the food wasn’t bad, it would be fine. But the experience completely exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding — far better than I ever imagined! Every dish was delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Highlights included: Sonoran Shrimp with Chipotle Cream – sautéed shrimp with cilantro lime rice and cactus caviar. Unique, layered flavors that really stood out. Seared Steelhead Trout – citrus agave glaze, blue corn nokake, and cactus caviar. Tender, flavorful, with rich textures — it’s been years since I’ve had fish this good. (If you love fish, this one is a must-try!) Elk Bolognese – tomato ragout, ground elk, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh basil, and bucatini with toasted garlic bread. Absolutely delicious, with no downside at all. Other dishes we tried were also above average, but these three stood out as truly memorable. Service was friendly and professional, even on a packed holiday weekend. Overall, this dinner was one of the biggest surprises of our Grand Canyon trip. If you think national park restaurants are “just good enough,” El Tovar will change your mind. Highly recommended — make a reservation, it’s worth it!

Perfect Mix of History, Flavor & Grand Canyon Magic We had the most wonderful birthday dinner at El Tovar Restaurant, and I just have to say—it was one of those experiences you don’t forget. The service, the food, the views… everything was spot on. Our waiter Austen was amazing—so attentive and kind—and his assistant Charlie was just as great. They went out of their way to make my husband’s birthday special, even surprising him with a warm chocolate-chip cookie dessert topped with caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream. Oh my goodness, it was scrumptious. From the onion soup and house salad with prickly pear dressing to the fresh bread basket with homemade garlic butter, every bite was perfection. My husband raved about his filet mignon with poblano mashed potatoes, and my shrimp entrée was delicious. The historic charm and canyon views made the whole evening feel timeless. Huge thanks to management for Austen and Charlie’s incredible service—they made our night unforgettable.

Amazing historic dining room right near the Grand Canyon. Our server, Corey, was great. The food was just one click from being really great : the French Onion soup was delicious but the cheese on top was a bit too burned, the chili has a delicious taste but was a little dry, and the ham and cheese sandwich has too much “soft cheese” on top. Prices were a little high, but not unreasonable for a tourist spot. VictorB

The Bison burger was amazing. They even had a gluten free bun. The pepper just added the extra flavor. My hubby had the shaved prim rib sandwich and my friend had the turkey sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Our server even swapped out the fries, which had a coating on them, so she offered sides, and I chose spaghetti squash. But, I forgot to take a picture of that.

Exactly the ambiance one would expect in a NP restaurant: Lots and lots of wood, dimmed lights, the smell of a fire… Our two servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was very good - a great meal after a hiking day.

Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Kaibab National Forest, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Grand Canyon South Rim. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

National forest
National reserve
Kaibab National Forest is a picturesque wooded area in Arizona, offering over 300 miles of trails for activities like camping, boating, and fishing. The forest is home to a herd of bison managed by the Arizona Game & Fish Department since 1929. A scenic two-lane paved road known as the North Rim Parkway winds through the forest, providing stunning views of meadows, forests, and small lakes before descending into the Grand Canyon.
Nice camping location. A bit cold and windy in March. I was directly below all the helicopters but it was a good spot to camp with easy access to the south rim.
Toby P — Google review
A serene park with breathtaking views, picnic areas, and camping grounds. We visited the park around May 23rd. I found the colorful Kaibab quiet and peaceful; a much-needed experience nearly contrasting a previous hectic morning at the likewise beautiful and sharp Grand Canyon nearby. One can easily drive through Kaibab if needed and get plenty of glorious shots of the scenery. There are trails and areas within the park for hiking/biking, having meals, or camping/lodging (e.g., in a cabin that one can rent within the park).

Beautiful place. Many things to do and see. There's even a little memorial for USS Arizona at the end of town in Williams. Also not just for the USS Arizona, but for every war dating back to 1800's. It has names, ranks, branches, and the war they lost their lives in. It's a nice little memorial for the military that didn't make it home.

Verizon=huzzah for cell service to call for help! Sandpit road is exactly that…a sandpit road 😆 Do not get out of your vehicle at night if you are unfamiliar with the outdoors and what “unfriendly” animals may be lurking in the shadows. Saw dried feline tracks & a lot of wild hares! Cool!! Officer arrived fairly quickly to help us get unstuck! (No, I am not responsible for driving or giving directions that got us stuck in the first place). Hahahaha thank you again to the officers who work in the area!!! I love breakfast, it’s the first meal of the day and the most delicious to me. So I will always review a breakfast restaurant. And this little gem is a top list spot. The food was delicious, especially the bacon, it was better than any other place I’ve eaten. There is plenty of seating inside and out. They have a full bar, games for the tables, a small market and souvenir items. Their souvenirs are better looking than the ones at the Canyon shops. The service was quick and the staff are so friendly. This place has the highest score for this area and it shows why.

We've been here twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. And we weren't disappointed. The food is great, the people are very friendly. The products are fresh and well cooked. The Wendy's is right next door But let's be honest, you'll enjoy it twice as much here, plus the orange juice is freshly squeezed. For me, it's a game changer on top of everything else.

This place is underrated! We stayed in Tusayan for a few days and tried different places for dinner after long days out at the Grand Canyon. This was the only place that we felt did genuinely decent food full of flavour with fresh ingredients. We were 2 and we had the pork tacos and a chicken and black bean salad each. Great food for decent price. Quantities were awesome. Nice vibe. If you stay at red feather lodge next to it, don’t forget to ask for 10% discount. Also given complimentary fresh tortilla chips when you sit. I asked for spicy salsa. It was really spicy and awesome. I recommend the Combo where you can get 3 items for $23. Worth it and can fill up 2 people fairly easily. Also ended up going for breakfast. They have a buffet if you’re hungry. I wouldn’t recommend the cappucino though. Seemed instant powder made.

We were presented with warm home-made tortilla chips and salsa which was a lovely touch. We opted for the steak fajitas for two which were delicious! You can find scramble eggs with ham, totopos, spicy sauce, beacon, Rajas, potatoes, everything was so delicious. The only thing my son didn't like was the chocolate milk (too sweet). Staff is really nice. We highly recommend it.

Came here after we went to the Grand Canyon. Food was good here, we all left full. Waitress was attentive in refilling our drinks and chips. I got the carne asada and it was very delicious.

3.5 stars. Their main draw is their location right outside Grand Canyon. Ambiance is festive and colorful. The tables are a bit small for the large plates they provide, but that was just my observation. The place was pretty empty when we got there. We ordered the tacos al Pastor, pollo en mole, a house margarita and a lager. We got complimentary chips with two salsas (super spicy and normal) for the table. The food was decent, not outstanding but better than ok. The tacos were solid but the al pastor could do with more marination. The pollo en mole was good. I liked the tortillas and the mole wasn't too sweet (I don't like mole that is on the sweet side). The chicken was fine but I enjoyed the mole sauce more. The rice and refried beans were pretty average. The complimentary chips and salsa were also average. The salsas were not very spicy. The lager was fine but the margarita was disappointing because it was very flat. The menu is expensive for the quality of food, but I guess that is what you get for eating in a tourist town. This is a decent option if you are looking for food outside GC, but don't expect to be overwhelmed by the flavors.

Immediately greeted and seated. The waitress immediately took our drink orders. Served drinks and took our food order. Food arrived piping hot and cooked as ordered. The building itself is old. Went to the restroom and it smelled “old and damp!” I’d say the place needs a renovation. Oh! Had a cold and crispy Modelo! We’d come back!

Amazing experience!!! We flew out of the Grand Canyon airport at 6:00AM to Paige, AZ. Our pilot Zach was very friendly and explained the route that we were flying. He pointed out sites along the flight there and back. The van ride to lower antelope canyon and horse shoe bend was short and both sites were beautiful. Highly recommend this tour. Definitely something we will remember forever.

Amazing experience. The views were extraordinary. Everyone on the flight got a window seat. Check-in was easy. The Pilot/Co-Pilot were incredibly nice and knowledgeable. One teenager asked to exit the plane before we took off and it was handled professionally and with empathy. Truth be told - the pilots handled it better than the teen's family! The best way to see the Grand Canyon.

Once in a lifetime experience! The absolute best way to see and experience the Grand Canyon! Could not recommend more! One bit of advice would be to not eat before like I did 🙈 Thank you to our great pilots! We had an incredible time!

Stunning. Breathtaking. Extraordinary. Peyton was our pilot—she is fantastic! She made us feel comfortable with the plane and with what to expect. The tour gives you a unique perspective to view the Grand Canyon that you just can’t see any other way. We had an incredible experience and walked away with the feeling that we got so much value for what we spent. The information, the scenery, the pleasant demeanor of our pilot - it was just perfect.

What an experience. Extremely bumpy ride, but very enjoyable. Generally, planes are 10-20 people capacity. Pilots are great, very well trained and handled the flights so well. You get the best view of the Grand Canyon from the top. Colorado River was so clear. One must not miss the experience.

We had a great experience ( Sep16,2025) and were very impressed with the crew and company - very friendly, professional and courteous. Our pilot ( can’t remember her name) and co- pilot, Zach, did a great job explaining everything pre- flight and during the flight. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. It was a fantastic way to see and learn about the Grand Canyon and we would highly recommend it. The incredible views were amazing and the experience was something we will remember for a lifetime. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy such a breathtaking look at our amazing Grand Canyon .

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with Maverick Helicopters and witness the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon. Departing from the South Rim, their Canyon Spirit Tour takes you over the stunning Kaibab National Forest, offering unparalleled views of the world's largest ponderosa pine forest. As you soar over the North Rim and eastern end of the canyon, marvel at some of its most spectacular vistas.
We just did the Maverick Helicopters tour over the Grand Canyon and it was absolutely incredible! At first we hesitated because of the cost, but we are so glad we decided to do it — truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The helicopter was comfortable, the pilot was friendly and professional, and the views were breathtaking. Flying first over the pine forest and then suddenly over the edge of the canyon was unforgettable. A highlight of our trip and an experience we will never forget!

You don't see the Grand Canyon until you've seen it from a Maverick Helocopter!! Words can't describe how amazing this flight is. Dillon our pilot was fun, knowledgeable, and very good at his job. Yes, this could come across as a pricey adventure, but its worth every penny. If you have the chance this is a must do!!

Our helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon was absolutely incredible. 3 of the 4 of us had never been in a helicopter before, but our pilot Chad was amazing at making sure we were comfortable and understood all the safety things. Once in the air, he shared so much information about the different sections of the canyon, the Colorado River running through it, the different structures and their names, and so much more. The music during flight was perfect, and the views, oh my goodness the views leave you just mumbling “wow,” and “ooohhh”because you’re actually just speechless from the absolute beauty. While it is not inexpensive, there really is no other way to replicate that stunning view of one of the natural wonders of the world, so go for it!

We took a morning flight (Canyon Spirit Tour) with Maverick in October 2025, two adults and two teenagers, and it was absolutely amazing ! The 9 a.m. departure was perfect, with beautiful light over the canyon. Our pilot was super friendly and shared lots of interesting commentary throughout the flight. The 50 minutes just flew by (literally !), every moment offered breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon’s vast landscapes. The whole experience felt smooth, safe, and incredibly well-organized. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip, an unforgettable adventure for the whole family. We highly recommend Maverick for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon !

Absolutely the best time! My gift to me on my birthday. The only way to experience the Grand Canyon, so much you do not see from the ground. Gabriel was both an excellent pilot and so informative on the history, geography and even the native lore about the canyon

The flight was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect – from the check-in to the actual tour. The Airbus helicopters are fantastic, very modern and comfortable, and you can feel the quality right away. Our pilot, Chad, was super experienced, very friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The route itself was breathtaking and 100% worth the price. Sitting in the front next to the pilot is incredible, but honestly, even from the middle seats you get amazing views. Without a doubt, the best helicopter flight we’ve ever had!

Grand Canyon South Rim

Scenic spot
The Grand Canyon South Rim, located within the Grand Canyon National Park, is a popular destination offering a range of visitor services and accommodations. Open year-round, it provides convenient access to shuttle bus services, concierge and food options, as well as various hotels near the park entrance. Visitors can enjoy free Ranger Talks, museums, shops, geological and historical information, and the thrilling Grand Canyon IMAX Experience.
The South Side has been more accessible with more amenities since before the Park opened in 1919. Mather Point is close to the Visitors Center, has it’s own shuttle stop, paved walkways, restrooms nearby, and so on. If accessibility is a concern, you’ll have it here. In fact, I’d say if you’ve been concerned about mobility or accessibility in a Park, this is an excellent one to start with – there are multiple lodges, historic buildings, paved trails, and more all connected by shuttles and parking options. I watched the sun come up and then decided to hit the trail from Mather Point to Bright Angel and I am so so glad I did. The weather was in the 70’s. The wildlife was out. I had a consistent view of the canyon, an incredibly well curated geological trail to follow, and I hit major historic Park architecture along the way. If you had one day and hike to do with family and friends who had different needs and expectations of hiking, I’d recommend this one! I’ll also cover why I chose to stay up in elevation and not venture down into the canyon.

Amazing natural wonder. Stayed @ lodge near South rim. It was a superb view within 8 minutes walk and Free shuttles that takes you to most stops throughout Grand Canyon. We were able to stop at a store, eat lunch and pickup items for dinner. Was able to view both sunrises and sunsets. This time of year, weather was perfect and less crowds.
Piyush S — Google review
Awe-inspiring, breath taking views!! Words and photos don't quite capture the splendor and beauty! Wonderful drive with views from stopping points or hike along the South rim trail. So much to see and do. Would recommend charting where you want to go if you only have 1 day as some places can only be seen by taking the shuttle busses. Restrooms are plentiful throughout the park. Cost $30 for passenger car and 7 day entry pass.
Holly N — Google review
We visited in late September, and it was the best time to go there (we are told). Weather was amazing (clear skies, temperate climate and the crowds were sparse'ish). We took an organised tour from Vegas - an early start at 5:30am, weird pick up time and place - long drive to the South Rim , with three stops for food / restrooms along the way (including a stop by a quaint shop on Route 66). Quick view of the Hoover Dam on the way and back (did not stop). The Grand Canyon... its all been said before so all I can say is just go and see it for yourself. Simply Vast and majestic. The amenities, trails etc are all very well laid out and easy to follow. Lots of spots to stop and take pics. The place is huge to walk around so you need time. Nice shops to look around at the Village once you reach there (though the prices are ...pricey! to be expected.) . Do make sure you do some trails to feel the atmosphere. I would have preferred to drive there myself but the tour guide provided a good overview.

This is just an incredible place to come too to see this part of God’s beautiful creation! There is some really cool viewing places of the canyon here. I had seen many pictures of the canyon before I came, but they don’t truly show the depth of this canyon! Just a wonderful experience to come see this in person. When we were here, there was a bit of smoke in the sky due to the north rim fire, but it was still very beautiful!
Kendrick S — Google review
The Grand Canyon South Rim is absolutely breathtaking. The views are endless and every lookout point feels more stunning than the last. The trails are well marked and there are options for both easy walks and more challenging hikes. It can get busy, but there is plenty of space to take in the scenery and enjoy the incredible landscapes. Truly a must-see destination and an unforgettable experience.
Rocky R — Google review
JUST GO!! THERE'S so much to do and see, but if you can only just park and start at Mather Point and walk along the rim, you will not be disappointed. Windy and depending on the season, can be very chilly! Dress warm and just look out at the splendor!

I’m delighted and feel lucky enough to visit Grand Canyon. I had a great view of canyon, ridges and other wonderful places. We were here today for breakfast, I wish I knew them yesterday. We ordered two custom breakfast sandwiches . We had tons of options from bread to dressing. It was really great. One of the must stops if your in the area for the grand canyon, closes at 5:30pm which is a bit early but the food is great. Camped near the area off service road 302 for a few days and kept coming back into town to get these guys sandwiches and salads smoothies and coffee. The tuna sandwich with cranberry and toasted is absolutely great. Their chicken salad were filling with good portions of everything. The method of ordering is kinda cool and allows for no mess ups. Staff seemed to be a family run and was super friendly every time we came. Inside has a lounging area and a souveneer shop that sells grand canyon passes. Menu is fairly big with good prices in coffee and also has really good smoothies. They have free WiFi which the password in posted inside near the food register. They also have a free phone charging station for anyone and an ok amount of seating. They also have a computer with a printer which they charge just a little bit for, see pictures. Bathroom was clean as well. One of those places you just have to come and get something at and check out for that grand canyon trip.

Alright stop considering it is located in a tourist hub. Prices are a little on the higher side and the place needs a little rennovation/rebalance considering peak/tour crowds. Menu is very expansive, which is good, but also creates delay in food delivery at peak times. Especially given the lack of English experience of many tourists. 2/4 seater tables can be combined, but it's a little cramped. Despite the "chaos", the food was very good. I had a breakfast sandwich and nitro brew. My suggestions for the owner: 1. Add translation cards or webpage at the "build your order" table 2. Use paperclip / numbers to group orders ->Typically there should be at least one "bilingual" in most groups 3. Deliver orders grouped by said numbering when possible 4. Move condiments/paper towels into corner near water dispenser to reduce crowd around order counter/pickup 5. Move bookcases/etc more to shop side and move "hangable" / magnetic / postcard trinkets onto wall in the food area Cheers / mit freundlichen Grüßen, Mark

Arizona Steakhouse is a modern steakhouse offering a blend of Southwestern and BBQ themes, serving as a culinary journey inspired by the essence of Arizona. The restaurant features big windows facing the canyon, providing impressive views while enjoying upscale dining experiences for both lunch and dinner. With an emphasis on heritage ingredients, the diverse menu caters to meat eaters and plant-based preferences alike.
We didn’t have a plan to eat here but knew that we needed something as it got to lunch time and thought we’d give it a try as we walked past and took a look at the menu. I’m really glad we did! We arrived when service was starting and all the staff were really welcoming. The water service was excellent, which was needed on such a hot day. Our server Sandra was lovely and she gave some great advice about the different options on the menu. She convinced me to go for a dessert and I’m glad I did as it was the best I had that holiday. The main courses were of a decent size. People watching beside the Grand Canyon was pretty special too!

Get extra prickly pear butter! I don’t regret stuffing myself with bread and butter, although it made finishing dinner a tad uncomfortable. My family enjoyed the menu (the mac and cheese was a favorite) as well as the ambiance and overall atmosphere. We always appreciate local options. And our waiter, Tom, was quick to provide friendly and helpful service. Tip: Dinner is a great time to catch the sunset over the canyon and there’s a photo spot just behind the restaurant. You do not have to be staying at the lodge to enjoy the menu. Reservations are recommended and as a group of 3 we still had a short wait. No problem, we enjoyed a local beer and cocktail while we waited.

Stopped by as part of a package trip to the Grand Canyon. We were able to walk in with no waiting. Seated right away and staff was attending to us from the moment we sat. Drink were served almost just as fast... and if you know... the water was great... much better than other places in the park. The staff got our menu and helped with choices. I have the trout, a feta salad, and the apple dessert. It was a filling and amazing food. My wife had a sandwich house salad and the Panacota dessert. The staff again did not rush us, and provided recommendations for things to do other than just walking the trails. Highly recommend and I will go back again.

Excellent entrees! My group had Bisson and steaks. Each came out perfectly cooked and flavourful. I especially like the black rice with coconut. It’s a different story with desserts. I’m told the apple crisp is not so good. The bread pudding is overly sweet. But the vanilla bean ice-cream was delicious! Unfortunately the service was extremely slow. We all had to ask for dessert as take out as dinner stretched out to over 2 hrs. So if time is not on your side and if you’re too tired this may not be your place for dinner.

It's a very nice restaurant. They we're packed and you definitely need reservations. Our waitress was very sweet and was able to make recommendations when I was unsure of which dish I wanted. We cleaned our plates! The baramundi was excellent. My son had the bison prime rib and it did not disappoint. My husband had Osso Bucco Bison. It was fork tender and just melted in your mouth.

Arizona Steakhouse offers a very enjoyable dining experience right on the South Rim. The steak was tender, nicely grilled, and full of flavor. Sides like the mashed potatoes and asparagus were well-prepared and complemented the main course beautifully. The bread pudding dessert was a standout—warm, rich, and perfectly paired with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. A real comfort treat after a day of hiking. The atmosphere inside was warm and welcoming, with stylish lighting and a relaxed vibe. And the views? Absolutely stunning—sunset over the canyon right from your table. That alone makes the meal memorable. Service was friendly and attentive, though the pacing could’ve been a bit sharper. Overall, a solid choice for a special dinner at the canyon. Just shy of perfect, but definitely recommended.

For the price of the food it did not live up, very pricey menu. The service however was amazing! The green chile tamales were delicious but the rice that came with was not. Would not recommend the rice. Overall a decent experience for a close to canyon view

You’re on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s not a top tier steakhouse in a major city but it’s worth it and delicious. Starting with the complimentary bread with prickly pear butter, I ordered the southwest Caesar salad and Prime Rib with hatch chili Mac n cheese. All of it was delicious and washed down with a delightful Napa Cab. 🍷

Fast food restaurant
Wendy's is a beloved fast-food burger chain that offers a delightful menu featuring thick, juicy burgers alongside unique sides like chili and baked potatoes. If you find yourself at the Grand Canyon, you'll be pleased to discover a Wendy's nearby, serving up all your favorite items from their classic menu. After an adventurous day exploring the canyon, indulging in their hearty chili or baked potato can be quite satisfying.
This is the only Wendy’s that I’ve been to where my iced coffee has been made perfectly and to my liking. Most places add way too much creamer and one can not taste the coffee itself. Not here! We like to get breakfast from here when we come through. Their breakfast is always hot and delicious. Andrew always has exceptional customer service and goes above and beyond! Our favorite Wendy’s when in town.

Food was as expected, you pay at a kiosk, so can’t really rate service. The upkeep of entrance/exit is lousy!! It’s not like the snow was unexpected!! So why is everyone busting their hind ends on the ice at the doorway?? Someone IS going to get hurt!!

When I first went it was a chaotic and messy place, but I do not blame the workers or the place. Parents were not watching there kids and people were just throwing still full cups in the trash. We were three people and we all ordered similar things separately (individually): a baconator combo, a son of the baconator combo and a baconator combo with a Frostie fusion swirl Oreo brownie. Not sure what has happened between the time of the order and the preparation but they messed up every order. The one who ordered the son of the baconator got the actual baconator, the one who ordered the baconator combo got a son of the baconator, and finally the one who ordered the baconator combo with the Frostie got a classic chocolate Frostie (see picture). First, we didn't even notice that it was a classic Frostie because it was our first time at Wendy's and we thought it was a joke. It could have been just a marketing thing that showed an Oreo brownie swirl with chunks in it on the poster. But after a while we noticed that a couple next to us got the actual swirl depicted on the poster. How is this possible? The baconators and Frostie were still good though

I try not to eat fast food. Coming out after viewing the Grand Canyon, the entire group was hungry. Ordered everything through the drive-thru and should have known that English wasn't their first language. Ordered everything large and received everything small. Ordered a Spud (potato), with everything. Yet, no sour cream and no fork to eat it. We had to stop in the next town for a plastic fork. You would think that after paying over $50.00 for fast food, a large fries would be above the fries container, no, it was below the half circle, as if put into a large container, only to give me a small order and pay the price for a large. I guess Wendy's must be hurting, meaning, giving their customers nothing, yet charging more. The employees must get a raise screwing customers at the window. Wendy's sealed their fate. One if not our entire group, will never be back again! Great Job Wendy's! Less customers, higher paid employees.

Nestled within the Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, Squire Pub + Social is a charming spot that perfectly blends relaxation with fun. This bar and grill offers a delightful array of classic pub fare, including crispy chicken, golden fries, and mouthwatering onion rings. After indulging in some tasty bites, guests can unwind with an impressive selection of beers and cocktails. What sets Squire Pub + Social apart is its family-friendly atmosphere.
Took a chance because I have a picky eater in my party and saw chicken tenders on the menu. We had a wonderful time! All the staff was very attentive. Bree tended to us and she was such a great personality, not only did we have a great time with her, but we also saw her making time for each table and chatted a little bit with each set of guests. Super hospitable, and we got everything from drinks to food in great time. Wonderful, wonderful service. The food was excellent, too. The Chicken tenders passed muster for my picky eater, and the corn quesadilla I had was probably the best restaurant quesadilla I've ever had. I'd absolutely come here again.

Disappointing Start at Squire Pub & Social Beautiful Location, Needs Work Our experience at Squire Pub & Social was unfortunately a mixed bag, especially considering its prime location within a Grand Canyon resort. Arriving right as the doors opened, we were met with an unwelcoming look that made us feel like we had interrupted something. Despite being the only patrons, our cold appetizers took an astonishing 40 minutes to arrive. Bizarrely, our entrees followed a mere five minutes later, leaving us with a table quickly overflowing. While the fish and chips proved to be a highlight – the fish was well-cooked and the chips were crispy – the pizza was a significant letdown. It tasted undeniably like a frozen, boxed variety, which was incredibly disappointing given the setting. To add to the confusion, we had to request plates for our pizza and were then provided with small appetizer plates, highlighting a distinct lack of common sense amongst the staff. To be fair, the staff members we interacted with were genuinely nice and polite. However, their lack of training and basic understanding of restaurant service was glaringly obvious. From the delayed appetizers to the mismatched plates, it felt like we were their first customers ever. For a restaurant situated within a Grand Canyon resort, expectations are naturally higher. While the location undoubtedly offers a captive audience, Squire Pub & Social needs a serious overhaul in its kitchen efficiency and staff training to meet even basic dining standards. The potential is there, especially with the good fish and chips, but significant improvements are needed to justify a visit, particularly for those expecting a quality dining experience in such a remarkable location.

Good food for a fair price for a hotel grill. Variety was good and portion size was good. Nothing extraordinary with the side salad being too small for my liking. But a great option to eat in this town, and way way better than fast food options like Pizza Hut, McDonalds or Wendy’s, or over prized restaurants.

I ordered the hot 🔥 wings, decent sized, flavorful. My daughter ordered the Hamburger with Fries & Onion Rings. Her meal wasn't as tasty ( hamburger 🍔 could use pre - seasoning), I tasted some, I, for one also didn't like it. She tasted the hot wings, loved them too. Will be back to edit after I speak with her for more details, as she came from out of state to visit me. Also to add photos she took. Ambiance of restaurant lovely. Loved the lighting, set up. Cleanliness, quiet, comfort.

We ate on the arcade side. The server was awesome! He was super attentive and helpful. We tried their tater-tot nachos with pulled pork. It was delicious! The kids enjoyed the arcade.

Very disappointed in our visit to The Squire Pub & Social. Right from the start, our experience was off-putting. Our server, Rebecca, spilled two full glasses of water directly onto my purse and phone—without offering a single apology. She then took my husband’s drink order and walked away without acknowledging myself or my son. When she returned with his drink, she finally asked my son if he’d like something, but again, didn’t ask me. It wasn’t until she came back a second time that I had to ask for a drink. Still no apology. We placed our food order and waited... and waited. Twenty minutes went by—we had to flag her down just to get refills and the drink she still hadn’t brought me. Thirty minutes later, the food finally arrived—and it was terrible. My son ordered a chicken sandwich, plain with just bread and chicken. It arrived with cheese. My husband’s pizza tasted like something straight from a middle school cafeteria. I ordered the salmon tacos, but the flour tortillas had an odd aftertaste, so I just picked the salmon out to eat on its own. We spent over $100 for a meal and service that I wouldn’t have paid $20 for. We left disappointed, still hungry, and frustrated. Would not recommend.

We had an awesome time at Squire Pub + Social and will definitely be back. The place has a really chill vibe—cozy but still buzzing with energy. It feels like the kind of spot where you could hang out for hours. The food was seriously good. We had the Tachos, which were basically loaded tater tots and totally hit the spot. Super crispy, cheesy, flavorful—just really fun to eat. The Mac and Cheese was next-level creamy and comforting without being over the top. Both dishes came out hot and fresh and just made us happy. Big shoutout to our server, Jillian—she was the best. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and made us feel like we’d been coming there for years. She gave great recs and checked in often enough without being too much. Honestly, she made the night even better. If I had one tiny complaint, it’s that the place was a bit too dark. Like, we were using our phone lights to read the menu and see what we were eating. A little more lighting would go a long way, especially for those of us with less-than-perfect night vision. Other than that, everything was great. Awesome food, great service, cool atmosphere—just a solid spot all around. Definitely worth a visit.

The cashier on the arcade side had an attitude at 1st but was okay after I had to tell him I've had a hard day, I brought my family here to eat & play & this is the customer service I get from you? After I mentioned that to him he changed his attitude. I told him I'd like to have his job. Had Pizza & wings for dinner here. Pizza was not so tasty. Wings were on point. Played pool & bowling. It was fun!
