Tuacahn Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization that offers a unique entertainment experience in St. George. The center features Broadway-level shows set in an outdoor amphitheater surrounded by breathtaking red rock canyon views, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for visitors. In addition to the outdoor amphitheater, Tuacahn also has smaller indoor theaters where guests can enjoy concerts and plays.
The Tuachan Amphitheater is always a fun show! It's great to be able to see some of our favorite characters come to life on stage! The actors do a fantastic job and the way the animals and background are involved in each production is fun. They offer snacks and have a gift shop. Parking isn't bad but leaving requires patience. There is only one way out and everyone is going that way. Everyone will get there eventually.
Chanell B — Google review
Nestled near the red rock mountains in St. George, Utah, this outdoor amphitheater offers an amazing setting. With stunning sets, a live orchestra, phenomenal performances, and beautiful weather (in September), this was a extraordinary experience. We will definitely be back soon!
Jalaire D — Google review
Had the most incredible experience last night watching Newsies. It was obvious how hard they trained because the show was AMAZING!! Best experience I’ve had at Tuachan and they never seem to fail at impressing me each time I come. If you’re by yourself or with your family come here because it’s truly a pleasure watching them!
Trevin D — Google review
Fantastic venue to see wonderful musical theater in a gorgeous environment. The talent is top tier and the production quality is very impressive. We have been coming for 7 years.
Krista D — Google review
Little Mermaid was amazing!! Love being next to the red rocks. Tuachan is a beautiful place to watch Broadway shows. The area was clean and well-maintained. Love the water features!
Brooke D — Google review
Tuacahn Outdoor Theatre is absolutely stunning! We watched Newsies and were blown away, the dancing was incredible and full of energy, and the whole production was top-notch. The outdoor setting made it an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to come back for another show!
Megan A — Google review
The shows were good - as always. I had little hope for the Wizard of Oz. The story is well known and I grew up with that song repeatedly sung in my family. It was a great show! What a pleasant surprise! The Saturday Market had great vendors and wonderful weather. You shouldn’t miss it.
Chris P — Google review
This place is very near stunning. They spared no expense. I’ve not seen a show here, we only came to the Saturday market on a whim. Thankfully, we came in the spring because I hear that the heat starting in late April to November is almost horrendous. I really just want to point out that the surroundings are well done and the view is almost incomparable.

Jenny's Canyon Trail

Hiking area
Jenny's Canyon Trail is a short and easy hike that leads to a fascinating slot canyon and an overlook. It's perfect for families with young children, offering fun places for kids to climb once inside the canyon. The trail is relatively flat with a small rocky incline at the end, making it accessible for all ages. Visitors can expect beautiful views and hidden nests of birds within the canyon walls.
Absolutely gorgeous place! Very short hike from the parking lot, very easy to hike, but it contains such beauty! Little among-the-cave experience for any age. Pigeon's singing is amplified inside, making it an even greater experience to visit the place.
Dennis A — Google review
Very fun little place to let the kids crawl around and see some natural cool rock formations. A short little hike to a climbing fun little area to play. Soft sand walk, up to hard rocks, and Slick rock area. Fun for the family and the dunes are awesome straight across the road, but come early, sand gets hot. 🔥
Jonathan A — Google review
This hike is short, sweet, and stunning; the definition of “small but mighty.” Within minutes, you’re hiking into a beautiful little slot canyon that feels like a secret passage carved right into the rock. The cool air inside the canyon contrasts perfectly with the warm desert outside, and the acoustics make it a quiet, peaceful escape. It’s an easy, family-friendly trail that still delivers big on beauty — perfect for when you want that classic Utah slot canyon experience without a long trek. A quick, rewarding stop that shows just how magical Snow Canyon can be.
Leah B — Google review
Great hike for beginners and ones will any age child! We have taken cousins (7&5) on this hike along with our 1 1/2 year old and 5 year old. We have done this hike 4 or 5 times and each is always so fun and beautiful.
Mary N — Google review
Super short walk (took 2 minutes) to a gorgeous little slot canyon! Doable for any ages or ability levels (although it is quite sandy, so wheel chairs, bikes, etc. wouldn’t work well).
Rachel S — Google review
Nice little hike if you need a ‘slot canyon’ fix with limited time! Trail is about 1/4 mile each way - sandy soft dirt and some small rock steps/climbing. Trail leads straight to the slot canyon. It’s about 200 yds deep/in at most; one way in/out. I would rate the trail as easy but not handicap-able if in a wheelchair. The temperature was 10-15 degrees cooler in the slot. It is within the Snow Canyon State park, so there is a fee to enter. As of today 5/30/25, it was $10/$15 per vehicle. No bathrooms at this trailhead but some up the road.
D C — Google review
Super short little trail, mostly shaded but start and end in the sun. Got done in like 20 minutes with some kids. Walking through sand and Then lots of rocks. Not a ton of parking spots at the trail head. There is a little slot canyon to see as well.
Alessandra C — Google review
Beautiful, easy, and short trail. Our 4 year old had no problems walking it.

Snow Canyon State Park

4.8
(4703)
State park
Snow Canyon State Park in Utah is a breathtaking destination named after two pioneers, Lorenzo and Erastus Snow. This 7,400-acre park boasts sandy dunes and striking red sandstone cliffs, with a massive canyon carved into the ground. Visitors can explore over 38 miles of hiking trails and 15 miles of equestrian trails on foot, bike, or horseback. Just a short drive from St.
Nice little state park, there is a north and south entrance. $15 for Utah residents and $20 for non residents. You can drive through the whole park in like 10 minutes. Along the way you can do some short little hikes and there’s a few longer ones. Not much parking at all the stops though. Went in August it was extremely hot, maybe sure to bring lots of water and be prepared. Most trails we did were in the sand
Alessandra C — Google review
Very neat hike, wish I had brought a hat, but I forgot it at the Airbnb. No places to hide from the sun except the caves; just keep that in mind. Climbing down into the caves was atmospherically cooler in temperature and just a cool experience overall. This was one of the shorter hikes we did but still, glad it made the list.
Lauren B — Google review
So beautiful. The paved bike path is fantastic, it keeps the pedestrian/bikes from intermixing with the cars. Also the bike path allows you to get closer to the canyon walls. This place was so clean that I enjoyed it as much as Zion or Kolob. The dirt paths leading up to the stone Canyon walls were many and easily walked.
Paul P — Google review
We had a marvelous time at Snow Canyons today. Did the Turtle walk, Jenny’s Canyon & Sand Dunes trails. So beautiful! Highly recommend visiting this State Park!
Irene E — Google review
Absolutely stunning! A true hidden gem of southern Utah. Snow Canyon State Park offers a breathtaking mix of red sandstone cliffs, black lava flows, and sweeping desert views that change with every step and every hour of sunlight. It’s smaller and quieter than nearby Zion, which makes it the perfect place to slow down and really connect with the landscape. The park’s trails range from easy strolls to more adventurous hikes, and each one showcases a different face of the canyon; from petrified dunes to slot canyons to ancient lava fields. Wildlife, wildflowers, and those iconic desert colors make this park an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re hiking, biking, or just exploring, Snow Canyon is pure magic. A place that captures the heart of Utah’s desert beauty without the crowds.
Leah B — Google review
I don’t know why it took me so long to make it here! It was gorgeous. Most of the hikes are short & easy with great views, so it’s a low effort, high reward kind of place! $10 entrance fee. Most of the trails are quite sandy, so choose your shoes wisely. Weather was beautiful in early November!
Rachel S — Google review
Oh man, this canyon is just so beautiful. The ender was $15, which seemed a little steep for me for how small the canyon is, but if you're going on a lot of hikes or biking, it's definitely worth it. The part called Jenny's canyon is a quick little hike. Easy for kids. There's two paths one into like the cave and the other up to the top of the hill. Both are extremely fun. Bring lots of water. When you exit on the opposite side, there's a lookout point I believe called White Rock and you can drive down there and walk some trails and go to the White Rock mountain. Please do this! It was so majestic!
Mirisha B — Google review
Not too big, incredibly beautiful, amazing geology. The petrified sand dunes are stunning, just driving through the park is picturesque. There are plenty of trails and hikes to go on to fill up your day.

I like wandering around the village to see the outdoor art & lovely landscaping. It's roomy, plenty of parking & the stores have unique items. Plus there's a restaurant with a nice patio. It brings back memories of my many visits to Santa Fe.

Such a beautiful community of artists. From the authentic desert landscape and building architecture, which blends perfectly into surrounding environment. There are many different artist studios each with local art that is not only visually unique, but availability for sale. Will definitely visit again when back in the St. George area.

Breathtaking views and stunning art galleries, from local artists. This lovely art village has a handful of boutique galleries, along with sculpture gardens and meditation labyrinth.

A very classy place. They were kind enough to stay open long enough to seat us and serve us as they were getting ready to close for the evening. Their food exceptional, their service, phenomenal and their hostess, I admit I'm partial since she's my granddaughter - superb! We'll most definitely be back. The piccata was out of this world - I'm admittedly very picky with piccata.

Jacob Hamblin Home is a historic 19th-century house in Santa Clara, just outside of St. George, Utah. It was the residence of Mormon pioneer Jacob Hamblin and his large family from 1863 to 1870. Known for his friendship with Native American people, Hamblin allowed his home to be a refuge for them.
Went and took a private tour of this old pioneer home. We learned about Jacob Hamblin and his service with the Native people from this area. We also learned all about his orchard and how they protected their livestock from being stolen. My kids enjoyed the tour as well.

Interesting tour of this historic home. We were there about 30 mins. We had to wait about 15 mins. Learned more about Jacob Hamblin’s work with the indigenous people. Bathrooms onsite and ample parking.

In this place, I learned about Jacob Hamblin and his brave family. Jacob Hamblin, a 19th-century Mormon pioneer and missionary, built bridges on understanding with Native Americans in the American Southwest. He learned their languages, mediated conflicts, and facilitated peaceful coexistence. His efforts fostered cooperation, aiding in the settlement and development of the region while respecting indigenous cultures and traditions.

Ice cream shop
Candy store
Judd's Store is a charming old-fashioned sweet shop located in a vintage retail space with a tall, frontier-style facade. The store offers a delightful selection of ice cream, candy, and sodas displayed on wall-to-wall shelves. It also serves light bites such as soups and sandwiches for lunch. The nostalgic atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for kids to pick out colorful confections and enjoy their treats at one of the small tables inside.
This is a must-see in St. George! My kids love visiting here for the yummy breadsticks and ice cream. I love all the vintage candy and knowing I'm supporting a historic business. Surprisingly, this is also a fantastic lunch spot! Probably the best soup in town and craveable sandwiches. It's a bit pricey, but it makes everyone feel like a kid in a candy store again.
Wendy N — Google review
What a whimsical store! The candy selection was plentiful, and this store stocks some really fun soda options. I grabbed myself a Sarsaparilla soda, and my travel buddy and I ordered two bowls of their cheddar broccoli soup and a bread stick for each of us. What a great lunch!! Thanks Judd’s Store for a lovely experience on our vacation!

Visiting St George and looking for some afternoon ice cream and this place hit the spot. Very friendly with an old fashioned vibe (and surprisingly old fashioned prices!). A nice break from the standard corporate look and prices.
Jason B — Google review
I love this retro store, the soups great. Heather is the best and I guess Graham ok too.

The oldest business in St. George. As I was told by one of the workers this store is 111 years old as of 2022. Great little store with ice cream, bottled drinks and old time candy. Perfect location and stop if you at the splash pad/ river right in the middle of time. The employee were nice and helpful. The store isn’t big but they get you in and out quickly. Great treat shop.
Landon S — Google review
Very small. Lots of candy and candy options. The people were all very nice, and this one guy with a great mustache was super nice and helped me get some ice cream. Totally recommend; the ice cream was great and the kids loved the shop!

Restaurant
Xetava is an American cafe located in Ivins, Utah, offering a diverse menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant boasts a picturesque mountain view from its canopied patio. Recently partnered with Elia's twin sister and her husband, the cafe has expanded its offerings. Visitors have praised the delicious tapas such as Thai shrimp nachos with yellow curry sauce and big fat shrimp, Vietnamese noodles with crispy chicken, and pan-seared crab cakes balanced with seaweed salad.
Once again this place knocked it out of the park! I cannot recall a bad experience here, and this time was no different. They added some new menu items since I’ve been here last and I’ve gotta say, the street corn appetizer was ridiculously good! I also tried the mahi-mahi with pineapple salsa (subbed the fish for chicken though because I’m not a fish girl) and it was really good too! My friend had the cauliflower tacos, which is also one of my favorites. My one complaint is my favorite green curry dish is no longer available. Tear.

Amazing food and service! Beautiful setting on patio- blue skies and a slight breeze! Hummus platter was fresh and healthy! Chicken Picatta was delicious and my husband loved his steak gyro. Dessert was a pumpkin chai cake - so good! Great place with fresh and delicious food!

We had a lot of fun at this restaurant! Starting with the staff; they're so warm and they made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is lovely, and the food was just out of this world. I recommend the cauliflower tacos...I cannot describe how delicious that was. Hubby had the Kayenta burger and absolutely loved it. Not too quiet, not too noisy, it's just a perfect place to have a meal. And all for a reasonable price...we were super impressed!! Do not miss out on this gem of a restaurant.

My daughter Piper was so excited to bring me to her favorite place. It was most excellent. The food was delicious and presented very well. The craft cocktails were exquisite. Our server was very friendly and ensured everything was good. They even brought blankets by as the sun went down on their patio. We had the small plates. Such a great way to try multiple dishes. Will definitely come back next t time I visit from Idaho.

We were staying in the Kayenta area and Xetava was right next to our VRBO. We ate at both the restaurant and bar side during our vacation. The food was really delicious and the atmosphere is fabulous! The restaurant side has really interesting decor and we loved the layout. We were a little hesitant to take our children after reading other reviews, but our toddler and 5 year old loved the kid quesadilla with grapes and the kid burger at the bar. They had special plastic cups for them and were very accommodating. They do not have booster seats but it worked out just fine. Our favorite menu items were the salmon with lemon sauce, brussel sprouts, and mahi tacos at the restaurant, and then the corn ribs and seared ahi tuna at the bar. Can’t wait to come back next trip!
Jessica L — Google review
I tried this for the first time with some girlfriends. The service was incredible and the food was awesome. The only reason I gave it a 4 for atmosphere is because it is far out there but that has its charm too. The waiter had great recommendations and knew the menu well. He was great. The food was awesome. We had Patella, braised short rib, wings, a variety of cocktails and so much more. All were really good. My favorite was probably the braised short rib. Amazing!

We enjoyed dinner with a beautiful scenic view on 3/21/25. As a Californian, I was very pleased with the service the server provided. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Penne, and my friend ordered the Chili-Glazed Salmon. Then we enjoyed the Chocolate Lava Cake. This place is popular, so call in for reservations. When I am back in town, I will go again for lunch.

My husband and I went here for a nice dinner on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! I had the Cajun chicken pasta and added steak, and he had the ribeye special and both meals were to die for! The mashed potatoes were so good and the steaks were perfectly cooked! The service was wonderful and our server Dante was attentive and kind. We ordered the Cinnamon roll bread pudding and it was so good. Dante also brought out a celebration some cake and it was delicious! If you are looking for a nice quiet meal with good food you’ve found the right place! And the view was amazing! We were sat in the corner and could see both the St George and Red Cliffs temples!

I was very impressed with this dining experience in southern Utah. I didn’t know it existed and wasn’t sure how nice of a restaurant this would be. But it did not disappoint. I joined three other coworkers and we had a great dinner. We enjoyed sharing a couple appetizers, we really enjoyed the fresh sour bread, and I personally loved the clam chowder soup. For entrées, I enjoyed the salmon offering. The glaze that they put on top of it was just amazing and wet so well with the fish. I loved the rice and vegetables as well. My friends enjoyed the New York strip and the chicken dish and one of them also got the salmon .. We were all very impressed and satisfied with this meal. Would definitely recommend going back. The ambience was excellent, there were several parties that are enjoying dining and it looks like a great place to go on a date!

One of the best meals of my LIFE... Seriously! View= Stunning. Food= Impeccable. Service= So friendly. First, I had the tomato and beet appetizer but forgot to take its picture (I was too hungry!) Literally, the feeling of summer on a plate. Next, the house wedge salad was just as pretty too. The best I've ever had. The halibut special was the real show stopper! Worth every bite and penny. My husband had the rosemary chicken and the glaze that covered it was DIVINE. I zoned out during my meal because it was so unexpected. Don't pass this place up!

Absolutely fabulous. I got the surf and turf special. Steak melted in my mouth and done to my perfect request of medium. Shrimp was spiced perfectly. Goat cheese mashed potatoes…um fabulous. Asparagus was so mummy even this girl who doesn’t really eat asparagus .. loved it. Don’t even get me started on the crème brûlée! Better than any I had in France. Honestly. I highly recommend this restaurant for travelers and guests alike. Locals…you are missing out on THE place if you don’t celebrate here. And then…,there is the attached hotel. Giving off rat pack vibes and the view is amazing.

I loved Cliffside Restaurant! After a dismal lunch experience where my boyfriend took me to Chuck-A-Rama Buffet, I decided to elevate our vacation dining and take us to a restaurant that would serve quality food in a nice atmosphere, so I booked us a reservation at Cliffside Restaurant! They sat us near the window, so we could see the beautiful views. Our server, Richard, was attentive, friendly, and professional. I ordered the filet mignon, surf 'n' turf style, with a clam chowder starter. We also ordered a chocolate cake for dessert (I forget the exact name of it). Everything was perfect. I would definitely come back! One small note: We booked the earliest dinner reservation available, since we had a show at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre to attend that evening, but by the time we left, the restaurant was entirely full, so make sure you plan for that and make reservations well in advance! ♥

Mexican restaurant
Irmita's Casita Mexican Restaurant is a charming, family-owned establishment that has been serving traditional Mexican dishes since 1993. Located in St. George, Utah, this hidden gem offers a variety of Tex Mex favorites such as cheesy quesadillas, sizzling fajitas with peppers and onions, and flavorful burritos smothered in delicious sauces. The restaurant takes pride in using locally sourced fresh ingredients to create vibrant and authentic flavors in every dish.
Enjoyed eating at this adorable little restaurant. It truly felt like stepping into someone’s home and being served by a family. The food here was very authentic, and it was very busy when we went, everyone knows where to come for good food! I will say that I wasn’t a fan of their salsa, it was very soupy, but other than that everything tasted awesome.

You feel completely at home at Irmita’s casita! It was refreshing to see such an authentic business! You can see the owners working hard alongside their great staff and the food is to die for! We loved everything we had specially the carne mexicana! They truly outdid themselves we will come back and recommend it to everyone!!

Took the family out for dinner and ended up at Irmita’s after looking at reviews for Mexican restaurants. They were very accommodating for our large family and made us feel like one of their family. The food came out quick and was really good. Everyone gobbled up their whole plate. We had a great experience and loved the atmosphere. Pictured is the stake chimichanga, which was awesome!

Came in from out of town. I did a quick google search on gluten free restaurants and Irmita’s Casita came up. The reviews looked good so I gave it a try. And let me tell you, it was sooo good!! Delicious authentic enchiladas and platters. I had the enchiladas de mole. Services was quick, and the staff are all so friendly! I will come back next time I’m in St.George!

There was 42 of us and the service was absolutely amazing. Every staff member was working double time, asking questions and making sure everything was good the whole time. And the food was to die for! So flavorful and top quality. Highly recommend for anyone. Ordered Flautas and the outside was perfectly crispy, while the chicken on the inside was juicy.

We decide to come to Irmitas since I was looking for a good carne asada. They are the most authentic hole in the wall restaurant you will find in St. George. From the moment we walked in we felt like family. The menu was simple yet everything we had tasted amazing. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. The entire place just feels like you’re in someone’s house being served a homemade meal. I highly recommend eating here and will definitely be coming back again.

This was such a wonderful little gem! The Pollo Amarillo was unlike anything I've ever had—tender chicken in a vibrant, flavorful sauce that was simply wonderful. The Carne Asada was also a highlight; so different from the usual, it was perfectly seasoned and incredibly juicy. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with dishes that are both unique and delicious, Irmita's Casita is an absolute must-visit.

Came here as we were in St George for a couple days and saw this place has great reviews. Well it was even better than I thought. It's truly home made Mexican food. In fact it even looks like an actual home was turned into the restaurant. But still it was clean, affordable and the service was great. I had the chicken mole and it was the bomb as you will see pictured. I will definitely be back and highly recommend. If you want authentic home cooked Mexican food this is the place. 😁👍👍

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days and were blown away by the amazing scenery and service! Marcy at the front desk was very helpful. The spa and restaurant were exceptional. The rooms were nice and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Great place to go and relax. We will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful time at Red Mountain Resort. The guided hikes were fantastic--guides are knowledgeable and friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy being there with guests. It's also easy to bike or hike yourself. There is a great variety of wellness classes and the gym is well-equipped. I stayed in the most affordable room choice, and it was clean and had everything I needed; I also appreciated the laundry facilities. I also had a fantastic massage at the spa! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed staying here! It was quiet, and though we didn’t do many of the activities there were quite a few to choose from. They were very accommodating. I asked if they had a pack and play for my baby and they delivered one to the room! I loved how much space the rooms had. The views were amazing from the property, you could see the mesas! The pools were great for myself and my kids. If you bring your kids here, know that there is an expectation of quiet in the common areas. This wasn’t a problem for my kids except for the time when my little girl was stung by a bee around the pool. The bees get drinks of water there and there are many, many bees around. Not a big problem unless you’re allergic - it may be something to consider if you want to go to the pool. We ate at the restaurant and it was very good. All in all, we loved the Red Mountain Resort and will probably stay again if we are ever in the area!

I visited Red Mountain Resort on with my three best friends, and tried acupuncture for the first time. We all agreed—Sheila was the absolute highlight of our stay. She is the kindest, most knowledgeable acupuncturist we’ve ever encountered. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made a lasting impression on each of us. Out of everyone at the resort, Sheila truly stood out. We would honestly return to Redstone just for her. Highly, highly recommend her and her services—you won’t find better care anywhere else. Highly recommend this resort!

Had the best time at this lovely resort. Set in a natural setting that blends in beautifully with the surroundings. The staff is amazing and the rooms were and beds great!!! Can’t say enough about this place. Can’t wait to go back. ❤️

Elaine, who checked me in, was wonderful! She was so kind and cheerful. Her warm welcome is what kept me here. The rooms at Red Mountain Resort are VERY old and musty. #1 complaint - Good luck sleeping with the air split/air conditioner that sounds like a jet engine. I can't wait to get home and actually sleep. 😭 There's an attic access door in the bathroom, which had been accessed recently because the insulation was sticking out and on the floor. Kinda creepy, like someone could come climbing outta there at any moment. The random creepy knocking noises in the middle of the night lend to the idea. Careful getting in and out of the shower. It's very slippery and awkward getting in/out of. The shower also sounds like a jet engine because the lever that turns the bath into a shower doesn't fully engage, so half of the water pressure comes out of the tub spout, half out of the shower head. So much for a relaxing shower. 🤷‍♀️ There was absolutely nothing inside the 4 walls of my room I'd consider "relaxing." I was only in my room to shower and sleep (neither of which were relaxing), so the view wasn't particularly important to me, however the view from my room (Dragonfly 235) was breathtaking. I read the restaurant reviews and decided not to take my chances. I ate all of my meals at Black Desert Resort - Hole 20. I highly recommend going there. It's a 1 minute drive, and some of the best food and service I've ever had. The location of the Red Mountain "resort" (the term "resort" used very losely) is amazing. The grounds are peaceful, with hammocks sprinkled about and there is ample parking right outside the rooms.

Staff was good. Rooms were clean. Area was nice. But Beds were small for queen beds! Rental car got 2 separate dings in the parking lot. Parking was not avaliable in the designated parking lot for our room. It was confusing to navigate to rooms, registration, trail.

This resort did not live up to our expectations. We stay for three nights in July (a very slow season). It is showing it's age (landscaping not well maintained, hot tub not working, etc.). It is unfortunate was this resort has great potential. The "IVY" texting service is a great idea but it depends on the staff. One text took 45+ minutes for a response and a second text was never responded to. Again, this was during a very slow time of the year with very few guests at the resort.
