We absolutely loved our visit to **Pinafore Park**! It was the perfect spot for a fun and relaxing day out with my wife and son. The park is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, scenic walking paths, and plenty of space for kids to run around and explore. Our son had a blast at the playground, which was clean, safe, and full of fun equipment to keep him entertained. We enjoyed a lovely day by the water, watching the ducks and taking in the peaceful atmosphere. The splash pad was also a huge hit—perfect for cooling off on a warm day! What really stood out was how well-kept and family-friendly the entire park was. There were clean restrooms and ample seating. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind, play, or just enjoy nature, Pinafore Park is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend for families!🌳👨👩👦💙

We were on the lookout for a perfect spot to have a BBQ, where the kids could run around, and we stumbled upon Pinafore Park by chance. It turned out to be an amazing discovery! The park is absolutely beautiful and so well-kept. There's a fantastic playground packed with fun things for the kids to play on, plus some spacious pavilions where we could enjoy a picnic and relax. We ended up taking lots of gorgeous photos amidst the colorful flowers and stunning scenery. We can’t wait to visit again!

This place is so cool. Great spot for a walk and really cool structures to check out

Pinafore park has to be one of my favorite parks. It's always a good time and usually plenty of friendly people. The park has plenty of picnic areas and large covered gazebos to cover your event quite nicely if it rains. The park is clean and there's plenty of parking. If your looking for a relaxing evening in the sunset. Pinafore park is a great place to let high strung children(my granddaughter) burn off all that excess energy just before bed time. Great place for an outdoor birthday party or family reunion. If you've never been to Pinafore park take the pilgrimage, its vast and beautiful, no regrets, no worries. Luv Malcom💪😎💙Stay strong St Thomas.

A top-notch park. There is something for everyone: Trails, open space, trees, pond(s), playground, splash pad, tables, benches, porta potty's. All well maintained.

Very good park in St. Thomas, there is a lake I'm the park in which you fish in, and also a water fall. The park isn't very big but has a lot to see.

Elgin County Railway Museum is a top-notch rail museum that boasts an impressive exhibit of vintage steam engines, cabooses, and baggage cars. Situated in the historic 1913 Michigan Central Railroad shop, this museum offers a unique experience for both children and adults. The dedicated volunteers and staff are always eager to assist visitors while showcasing the extensive collection. With recently repaired roofs, guests can marvel at the remarkable locomotives and cars up close.
Canada’s history is written thanks to the contribution of Railway and this is one of the train towns. They have many actual trains on display and a miniature city scale too, looks very unique for rail enthusiast. They can also host some great summer events

A long overdue visit to view the "ECRM Christmas Tree Spectacular". It WAS spectacular! The scope (over 300 trees throughout the Museum), creativity, quality, and community involvement from businesses and agencies across Elgin County was amazing. A LOT of work to setup - it was worth it. Thanks for a nice addition to Christmas. See you next year.

My wife, granddaughter and I were at the St Thomas Railway Station Museum on the twenty second of August. We had the pleasure of meeting Will and Rose two curators of this amazing historical site(see videos/photos). Rose was responsible for the Jumbo story boards and other photographic displays on site. Rose is a very knowledgeable and intelligent Railway City professional who loves her job and can you blame her. If the huge train sections don't grab you immediately. The story boards miniature train city of St Thomas back in the day to today. The pictures on the wall tell story of Heros, Heroines and everyone in-between. September second 2024 there will be a fair for all ages at the Railway museum and I would encourage everyone to go. The historical value will be pearls they don't teach you in school. I'll be there with my family. Take that pilgrimage and drop by with your family as well. These are the moments in life that count. When the children are young and need this kind of great stimulation. See y'all there. Luv Malcom💪😎💚Stay strong St Thomas. UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2nd 2024 Railway City Museum Fair. It was just bumpin at 1400 hrs today as Rose one the curators, and the young lady responsible for the Jumbo story board story, we're answering question and supervising us have fun. They're are many other for instance Louisa and Jennifer. Louisa the semtress who made the circa nineteen hundred apparel. Lady Louisa in a lovely red dress with assessories and Jennifer wearing the white lace top incorporated into a grey skirt, very tasteful and I thought quite an Artistic flare. I loved it. KUDOS LADIES YOUR BEAUTIFUL! I was impressed with the little play tables they had set up for children to play with trains on tracks. The display of St Thomas miniature town and associated trains over the decades was a really treat to see up close. I loved playing with my train set. You put a lil machine oil in and it puffed smoke when it chugged. They had also a large bouncy tent that was huge. I couldn't get my granddaughter away from it. LOL. The loose caboose was there to feed us and the tuck shop was providing quality souvenirs for every one. Next year take a pilgrimage to the Railway City Train Museum Fair. It's a train treat for the whole family(see all the photos/videos). Luv Malcom💪😎💛Stay strong St Thomas.

Impressive numbers of locomotives in immaculate conditions. It was difficult to find the entrance of the museum, we figured out somehow. They have a kids area to engage the little ones.
Vinayak B — Google review
This is a hidden gem that more and more people need to explore so that these guys remain operational. The trains are amazing, the model train setup is amazing and offers lot of fun for kids. There are atleast two coaches which can be toured from inside and give you a view of how those coaches were back then. The train engines on display are a great view into the history of locomotives. Kids can also try two setups where they can enable the train lights with sounds. Overall a must visit place for all families.

The St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre is a vibrant hub of creativity and community spirit, showcasing the hard work of dedicated artists and volunteers. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending an exhibit celebrating St. Thomas's 200th anniversary, featuring stunning interpretations of Buell George’s artwork across various seasons and settings. The center boasts a friendly atmosphere with welcoming staff who are passionate about art and local talent.
A lot of work by the artists and volunteers go into making this Museum what it is. Went for the old St. Thomas 200th anniversary exhibit. You couldn't believe a number of paintings of Buell George in different settings, throughout the different seasons, and all the different interpretations of it, from sitting on a hill in the distance or close up with funky designs. And to see the history in front of our eyes from the earliest paintings to current day. Interior of the museum is nice, bathrooms are good. Easy to find, on the main road, usually not hard to find a parking spot.

V.A. Barrie Disc Golf Park is a hidden gem for disc golf enthusiasts and families alike, having welcomed players since 1981. This well-maintained course offers an inviting atmosphere where newcomers can easily learn the ropes with help from friendly locals. The park features scenic views along Kettle Creek, ample grassy areas perfect for kids and pets to play, and numerous picnic tables for relaxation between rounds. With no fees to play, just grab your discs and head out!
Big park. Nice stream that flows through it. You can play frisbee toss there. We walked through the entire park and back. There are some trails that lead to the street. Lots of grass area. Great place to let the kids run away and exhaust all that energy and a great place to take your dog!

The Disc golf course has been here since 1981. It is very clean, easy to follow and very well maintained. A great safe place to take friends and family out for a round of Disc golf plenty of players willing to teach new players or give advice. Several stores close by that sell discs and always a great place to go have fun. There is no cost to play the course just bring a few discs and your ready to go.

Lotus Thai Restaurant in St. Thomas is a charming gem that offers an authentic taste of Thailand, all set within a historic building that adds to its allure. Guests can enjoy their meals on a lovely outdoor patio adorned with the vibrant mural "The Howl" by Hawlii Pichette, making it an ideal spot for summer dining.
Lotus Thai always hit the spot when we feel like not cooking after a long days work. The food is flavourful, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. One of our fav spot in St. Thomas!

Stopped in based on a recommendation. Ordered the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles... very good! Tasty, generous portions. The staff was friendly but overworked, being alone today. The ambiance is very pleasant, would go back.

I have never received a meal so quickly after ordering! Food was delicious, ample portion size. We enjoyed a quiet dinner with family here; the only diners that evening since the restaurant does most of its business as takeout. Service was non-intrusive but timely.

We didn’t feel like cooking dinner tonight and wanted to try this restaurant as we live right around the corner. I just wanted to say the food was amazing and we also had great service! We had their Fresh rolls, All Day Special (Golden Curry) & Pad Thai. Servings are also pretty large and can easily be taken home for leftovers the next day. The service was quick and was a very welcoming. They also have a “Take Out” side that includes some of their house made sauces, candies and other snacks for sale! We will absolutely be back! Thank you so much for the great experience!

This was a great experience and a really tasty meal. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve eaten at in Canada. Really great but simple and clear selection of food at very reasonable prices. The staff here were also incredibly kind and welcoming. The food is delicious.the spring rolls are meat from scratch as is all the food. They also have some delicious snacks for sale in the room to the right of the entrance. Definitely worth a visit.
Tanzeel M — Google review
I wish I could give more stars. Not only is the staff very friendly and meticulous the food is amazing. I can't eat gluten or dairy and when I had the Pho I could have cried from the pure joy of eating soup again mixed with the unbelievable flavors. The gluten free Pad Thai is just as amazing if not more. The portion sizes are phenomenal and more than enough for one person maybe even 2.

My wife loves Thai food, and when we first moved to St. Thomas we were looking for a good spot. When we discovered Lotus Thai, we were thrilled. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The spring rolls are absolutely outstanding, and the golden curry never disappoints. A wonderful place to enjoy a great meal in St. Thomas. 10/10!

Took my girls here for lunch, our first time. They shared the platter of appetizers and pad Thai with a side order of cold rolls. Everything was delicious, portions are huge, and price was very reasonable. The little dining area was super cute too, in an old estate building built over 100 years ago intact with chandelier and fireplace. After I paid the bill the owner gifted me two addition orders of cold rolls since my girls loved them so much. Such a kind gesture, a family-run local business at its finest.

It is absolutely hands down my husband's and my favourite restaurant. Not only is it the best Mexican food we have had but the owners are there every time we go. They are serving and working the restaurant. Super nice people that make you feel at home every time you enter the establishment. Every time we are back to St Thomas we try to stop in. Always recommending to everyone we know. What a gem St Thomas has.

Great Place !!! We stopped in here for a pint and a bite to eat after hiking nearby trails, so glad we did. The places looked awesome and had great vibes. Our server was extremely friendly and very attentive. They had a decent selection of beers on tap. All the food we ordered came out quickly and was all delicious. They deserve 5 starts for sure. Well worth checking out if in the area.

I really enjoyed dining here! The ambiance was nice and well suited with the Mexican cuisine. The food was delicious, flavourful and filling- and it came out quickly, but at a perfect time without feeling rushed. The cheese-jalapeño dip was really good and tasted super natural. A couple friends I came with got margaritas and said they were fantastic, particularly the mango one. The steak chimichanga was exceptional and had all the flavors in it. This place did not disappoint and I look forward to trying other menu items.

For dinner tonight, my family and I decided to try out Bella Jack's in downtown St. Thomas! It was a great choice!! If you're a fan of Mexican food, you are in for a treat. I had the Taco Salad with a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri for my main meal which both were very tasty and a caramel deep-fried ice cream which was delightful considering it was my first time trying deep-fried ice cream!!! The waitress was very kind and the service was excelente!!!! I'll hopefully be back at this amazing restaurant very soon!! Gracias to the team at Bella Jacks!!!!! ❤️🇲🇽

Easy going. Went on a Thursday at 5pm and was seated immediately. Food was out quickly. Ate til we were both full. I added an extra taco to my plate and I was more than full. 2 would have been fine.

Ambiance, ambiance, ambiance! The service is amazing too. Very attentive. Tempted to add on an extra taco? You won't need it, but do it anyway. The food is so good and the servings are generous so you'll be excited to be able to take some home for later. The setting is adorable and the music is quaint. It was also the best Margarita I've had all year!
Vanessa W — Google review
Really good Tortilla Flutes, Chimichanga, and Quesadilla!! I got the steak quesadilla and the steak was nice and tender! Absolutely would get again! However thier “spicy” is not really spicy. My dad got the outrageous Chimichanga and we got “spicy” salsa with the nachos and tortilla flutes, and both were very good but not very spicy. (So just a heads up if you want very spicy) even though it was milder it was still really really good! Absolutely recommended this place if you’re in st Thomas!
Autumn B — Google review
1st time there and it was awesome. Friendly greeting and a very warm atmosphere welcomed my wife and I when we stopped in for lunch yesterday. We wanted to try a whole bunch of things to get the whole experience. Plus having leftovers for dinner is never a bad thing. I told the owner I wanted to be kicked in the face with flavour and asked for recommendations. He did not disappoint! My wife and I cook alot of international foods so we are very familiar with most of the items and how they are made, and everything was better than we could have hoped. The nachos with two types of salsa, guac and the different sauces were a great way to get the appetite going on overdrive. We had the Floutes for an appetizer, then a Chimichanga, Enchiladas, and finished with the Stuffed Pablano. All amazing! We finished with deep fried ice cream and the rolled cheesecake. Ridiculously good! They do it well, authentic and with quality ingredients. A great place. Highly recommended.

Pasta was really good! Enjoyed it....kids meal was ok as well, fries a bit too small though
Isaac E — Google review
The manager who assisted me with my order over the phone was not only friendly but also very helpful and accommodating. She exhibited remarkable patience as I deliberated over the menu choices. While the food was generally satisfying, I did find the fries to be a bit dry and lacking in flavor. Nevertheless, the service and the rest of my meal met my expectations. Additionally, I was excited to discover that they are offering pasta at a discounted rate throughout January, which is a fantastic bonus.
Melissa — Google review
At first I was a little weary about this place because it smelled really bad and the prices are astronomical. But I must admit the food is really good and the service is great. But The price is just too much for food you could get at a bar, For basically half the price. I would give five stars but I won't be going back just because of the price. I just ordered a small pizza and french fries and the bill was $43 they charge $5 just for a soda water.

Boston pizza is not a place I have very high expectations for. Chains are usually known to serve white mediocre food. but WOW! I was impressed. Went with a group of 6, our server Jack was great, very accommodating and checked in with us just enough - not too little and not too often. He was nice and easy to talk to. As for the food? Delicious. I ordered The Hungry Carnivore pasta, it was tough to finish (because the portion sizes are so great), but amazing nonetheless. Everyone else also enjoyed their food, no complaints. Great job BP.

Good location. Decent space where we were seated. Darling server, Chantal/Chantal. Lovely approach - attentive and pleasant. Wee social chatting with her was wonderful. Superb positive attitude. Our food was great. Served hot. All fresh and delicious. Fresh grated parmesan cheese was flavourful - good quality. Beverages and fresh lime wedges were spot on. We will be repeat patrons. Kudos BP St.Thomas.

The restaurant looked clean and had a great vibe. The greeter and our server were friendly and welcoming. My friend had a tea & I had water. No refills were offered. My friend had the Philly steak sandwich and salad and enjoyed it. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, mushrooms, and tomato. I did not enjoy it. It did come with lots of noodles and a slice of garlic toast. There were a few bits of tomato that were diced into about a 1/4" tiny pieces, the mushrooms were thinly sliced, and the chicken was cut into small pieces as well. The sauce was runny compared to similar dishes I have had at other restaurants.

I went to this location with my 2 children. We dined in. The dining area was clean and they even had some flowers and plants which was a nice touch 😉 ! The counter staff was super friendly and was very patient while waiting for the kids to decide what they wanted. The washrooms were tidy as well. Because I did peek before I let my son use the restroom. The service was pretty quick considering what we ordered , which was a little bit of everything. The food was good also. The coffee tasted great. The quenchers we got were great, the kids love the quenchers with the whipped topping! We got a pizza and some chicken noodle soup, some donuts and coffee and frozen quenchers. I also get the brown sugar iced latte often and now I'm going to switch to the pumpkin spice latte now that it's the season 👌

I noticed when I came to write my review, there is already a handful about how they burn food 24/7 and all they have to say is to go to guest services online. I thought the new owner was doing a great job but apparently not when this has been an ongoing issue. Not to mention I asked for a English muffin.

Yesterday at lunchtime I bought a coffee and a mini box of Tim bits. Two donuts were missing. The box had 8, but there should have been 10! Check your order immediately upon receipt! I don't think this is an isolated incident. The staff should be ashamed. Never paid attention to quantities before. But it was small box. Very frustrating.☹️

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst wait every time without fail. The drive thru is always prioritized over inside orders. There is zero efficiency at this location. It’s worth the drive to go to the next timmies down the road to avoid the headache.

I come to this location almost every day, and the staff is always so respectful, friendly, and professional. Today around 7:30 PM, I was in the drive-thru, and the car at the front was taking a really long time and the lady being rude to the staff. Despite that, the team handled it calmly and professionally. A supervisor even came out and informed 8 cars waiting and opened door we went in and got our drinks, which helped us understand the delay. It was a tough situation, but the staff managed it really well. Kudos to the entire team for staying respectful and composed under pressure!

Just got to drive through to grab a tea to take on shift. To be told to wait...left for 2mins, waited patiently. No order taken. Drove to the window to find staff idling around. Knocked the window. No one came!!! Disgusted at service!!

There are flies everywhere. They should invest in a proper bug removal device. Makes me wonder about the quality of the food. Tables could be cleaner. There were two flies on my table. Service is friendly though and looks like the place is operated by young people.

I went in this morning for a coffee and egg mcmuffin I asked for 2 milks in my coffee. Thinking my coffee had milk as ordered I took a drink and severly burned my upper lip. I opened lid to find it had no milk and was black. It was so hot I got burned. When I took coffee back the woman said her printer must not be working right and gave me the wrong coffee. She asked if I was alright but showed no concern at all . She was more intrested in serving next customer. I will never go to Tim Hortons again. After all how many times can I chance on having my mouth burned by some worker who doesn't care. D. Greig St Thomas

Tranquil park offering paths along creeks & ponds, with picnic & play areas, plus bird watching.
A very beautiful and picturesque place. We were here in the warm season, there was a lot of greenery and flowers around. There were a lot of adult geese and their babies swimming in the pond😍 It was very cute 🙂 We also saw a large turtle and a small one, they were basking in the sun, we saw a lot of swimming fish, and a chipmunk running away) But the most interesting thing was hearing the croaking of toads and trying to see them😅 We walked for quite some time, but still didn’t see any toads). Had a good time here 👍

One of my favourite parks to go too! I love that there is a nature path with ponds on one side and on the other kids play equipment and splash pad. A well maintained park, although the bathrooms weren’t open when I went most recently which was inconvenient.
Kait G — Google review
Nice place for kids. Two large shelters for gatherings. Clean washrooms. Really nice protected wildlife habitat...saw frogs, fish, geese, dragonflies, and turtle. Do not see the blue heron. Path to the reservoir closed due to pesticide use. Lovely flower garden beds. Large, old, trees. Well kept park. Large playground. Lots of swings and a kids zipline. Waterpad had three water buckets but they were really miniature. Lol Was very quiet when I went, only five cars.

My son has such a keen eye for different paths. I've been coming to Waterworks Park for nearly 40yrs and he was still able to point out a walking path I hadn't seen. Waterworks is beautiful and I adore seeing it from a different view.

Really awesome well maintained park right by St Thomas. There's newly paved paths, small bridges across the small ponds, and creek and small lake right beside. On the south side, there's a playground, splash pads, washrooms. Plenty of parking too!

Nestled on a hill in St. Thomas, the Jumbo the Elephant Memorial stands as a poignant tribute to one of history's most beloved circus elephants. This life-sized statue honors Jumbo, who was notably the first African elephant showcased to North American audiences in the late 19th century. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was struck by a train during an unloading incident on September 15, 1885—just as he arrived for a significant circus celebration.
Get your tissues ready. This is a life-sized statue of the most famous elephant in the world, Jumbo. He was tragically killed in Saint Thomas on September 15, 1885 when he was stuck by a locomotive. A terrible accident and on the 100th anniversary, the city dedicated this 38 ton statue as a tribute. There is parking nearby and you can get a great picture with "The King of Elephants" here. From the Atlas Obscura article, "It would be easy to assume that Jumbo was named 'Jumbo' because he was so large. At over 13 feet he was definitely tall for an African elephant, but it was the other way around. His name—thought to derive from the Swahili word 'jambo' for 'hello', or 'jumbe' for 'chief' or 'boss'—came before 'jumbo' was slang word for huge. The word that today is used to describe everything from giant shrimp to oversized paper towel rolls comes from the boss elephant himself." And that's pretty awesome.

Jumbo, the magnificent pachyderm, is a sight to behold.🤗😘 Slipped away from the Barnum & Bailey Circus in September 1885, this gigantic tusker was struck by a locomotive and passed away. 😭 The good townspeople of St. Thomas, ON, in remorse, erected a life-size statue of Jumbo, which can be seen on Talbot Street. The statue was created in Sussex, New Brunswick, and transported nearly 1800km to St. Thomas, ON. Jumbo lives on for eternity.😘🙏
Joy S — Google review
We've seen this monument for years from Talbot St. below but never searched it out before. Worth a quick look if you have the time. Lots of parking. A train caboose next to the monument has been turned into a small used bookstore, but it is only open on the weekends. Situated on a road with houses across the street.
Howard W — Google review
It's a part of Canadian history, but unfortunately, it's not a happy story for Jumbo.
Bryan B — Google review
Interesting story to learn about. Check out the local train museum to see more on Jumbo.

Good Old Jumbo. Beautiful Statue to his honour. Little park on top of the hill, located on the west side of St. Thomas. The kids will like seeing him and having their photo taken with him! They says his height was ten feet seven inches and what made him famous. Was the fact , that he was the first African Elephant to be displayed to the North American public in the late nineteen hundreds. Poor Jumbo was killed by another train, while he was being unloaded across the tracks. September 15th 1885. Definitely worth a stop if you are ever in the area.👍👍

Kids can hop up for a picture, super easy to find and within walking distance of the elevated park if you want to visit both. At the same location there is a train car with a pottery shop inside. Limited hours, would be worth a look!

My Fam and I were able to visit the Elgin Military Museum in St Thomas Ontario, our new home town. The Museum is much bigger then you'd expect and I really don't want to tell you alot as you need to see our history as in unfolded by a tour. The curator that let's you in will give you a guided tour in detail and they were there so they would know. It's amazingly clean and slightly dark as light does significantly affect old and rare artifacts. Photos, books and letters alike. The photos I took may shed a little light on the scope of the exhibit. Fun for all. Luv Malcom💪😎💙Stay strong St Thomas.

While services are limited to special occasions, the church hosts music concerts and events funded by the government of Canada.
Well worth a visit. Finally got to visit the Old St Thomas Church an important local historic site. Been meaning to visit since moving back to St Thomas in 2018. The church is well maintained with friendly University guides on site to answer any questions, on my visit both were History Majors so was it nice to speak to them. The graveyard has some fascinating grave markers going back to the earliest days of St Thomas. Add this site to your day trip it’s worth the time to see!

A truly humbling experience. Spiritual. 🙏Historical. 😊 Had been interested in visiting the St. Thomas Elevated Park for quite some time. And a noble soul(encountered there) mentioned about this church as being one of the oldest in Ontario. And decided to visit. A truly ancient place of worship. Small but imposing with its steeple rising to the skies. There is a Union Jack hanging proudly near the perimeter wall testifying to the Anglican nature of this church. Upon passing through the memories-filled entrance, one is greeted (on the right) with rows upon rows of sombre tombstones with inscriptions of people from a bygone era. Reposing peacefully.🙏 Once inside there is a thick rope hanging inside the main door which can be pulled strongly to chime the bells. 🤗 The rows and rows of pews which seated pious attendees in the past lie empty, clutching onto their memories. Small and quaint. So different from the present day. The main altar is magnificent. Prayed silently facing it.🙏 There is an upper balcony on both the left and the right and a centre place for viewing, all of which can be climbed. To the left of the altar there is an imposing pulpit, donated by a local family. The room behind the pulpit houses old photographs of this church and has several memorabilia including scriptures and crosses. A wonderful person named Mike caters to every visitor with utmost patience and understanding. He is charming, erudite, and a wonder.🤗😘 This Church has to be visited at least once. It is located in the historic town of St. Thomas, about 35km from London, ON. Spend an hour here, chatting with Mike, and soaking in the serenity of this place of worship from a bygone era 😪😘🙏

Update: NO refund as promised But was asked to remove the post . we only stayed 9 hours out of the 2 nights I paid for and was lied to about getting a full refund this is not a safe camping site for families My experience for the first time at this campsite, As our favourite place was full 😭 So I took myself my sister and our kids here to have a weekend away. The first night that we were there we had some issues. The people beside us pulled in and started right away. We knew were going to have some problems as the father and mother were screaming profanity at their children, and just acting very rude and arrogant as the night went on, they were being very loud. We tried to ignore it, but then they turned on a great big light and it was aiming right at our tent. I waited till almost midnight thinking they would turn it off they didn’t so I went and got a tarp and put it across the back of my tent as we could not sleep, they still did not turn it off. I went over and asked him. Could you please turn this light off? He yelled no ,I said you are keeping me awake and my family he said I don’t care. I said you don’t care he says nope I said that’s fine. I’m going to go find the Rangers, he told me to F off so I went and found the Rangers the Rangers showed up.They asked him to turn the light off, he turned it off for about two minutes, thinking that the Rangers have left so he and his wife turned it back on as he realized the Rangers were still there, he started getting more arrogant and the wife,He then came to my campsite with a metal bar with a hook on the end ( fire poker ) as the rangers seen him do also. Then threatening my family with it, and his wife got in our face thinking she was scary yet she was just making herself look stupid ,The police showed up and told him to turn the light off. The Rangers were very kind and offered me and my family another site so we took it. The Rangers helped us move our stuff but in the process we got to the campsite by 2 AM, someone had stolen everything that the Rangers took over for us about 30 minutes later the Rangers found it at another site and brought it back and said to all of us we are sorry the other crazies on this side of the site stole it. by then me and my family had enough. We packed everything up and we left. This is the worst experience I have ever experienced at a campsite. We have never had any issues in our life Until last night we ended up leaving and the other guy ended up staying to us It felt like nothing was done so this campsite we will never go to again. It is full of crazy people. We were told we would get a refund and a weekend free of camping, at another place, but I don’t think we’re going to ever see any of that $160 Back as it was $120 for the site and another $40 for 2 day pass for 2 other cars we had ,It’s sad how the crazies get to stay and the good people have to end up leaving. As you can see in the photo that is the light that was shining into my tent and my family‘s tent all night and the other photo is him on my campsite with a pole rod with a hook in it that he used to attack my family and yet he is still there enjoying his weekend And me and my family are at home. It really upsets me because I had to work three weeks straight morning and night because I work healthcare to get this weekend off so my family and my sisters family could spend some quality time together This experience at Dalewood has made it so my kids don’t ever want to go camping and neither do my sister’s children again. They should have been kicked out but they get to enjoy their weekend still, we left as this was a HUGE safety concern that was ignored. They said the guy was evicted the next morning so why keep a dangerous person on the property that could potentially harm other campers in the night. Makes absolutely no sense at all and we have to wait for the refund yet we were all put in danger because of a crazy camper.

Came for nature and quiet. Instead lots of NOISE. Too many golf carts. You would think a conservation area would be more environmentally forward. They run all day all night. The gas powered ones are the loudest. Was told they are only for people with mobility issues. What a crock of lies!

Pool is poorly managed. Wading pool not open all weekend. One life guard so rude when speaking to him. And why all the golf carts from seasonals? They drive twice as fast as the cars. Do not follow the speed limit. Almost got run over 3 times. They cause so much noise!!! Do better Kettle Creek

Stayed for Labour day weekend. - long 8o foot sites - lots of seasonals - New power with good flow - 50 psi water pressure - #146 & #147 are the perfect spots if you want to face a friend without the utiliy pole in the middle - no sewer - ratty picnic benches - hard grass surface - little bit of road noise for our site - constant park patrol - do not recommend swimming in reservoir. Water crafts yes - lots of dogs and gulf carts - propane bangers firing in nearby field. Bit annoying - $9.00 for fire wood - good dump site with new hose - gated entry - nothing really to do here so bring friends

Booked a reservation for this upcoming weekend. Policies stated when I booked, there is a $15 Reservation fee, $15 For any changes, and 18$ for cancellation. I called to cancel, with 5 days notice. Its charging me $33 to cancel. Called the office, they had to call me back because even the girls at the desk said it should only be a $18 cancellation fee. They called me back an hour later to state that the $15 reservation fee is not refundable, plus its $18 to cancel..... That is NOT the understanding the system, nor the girls at the counter give you... I booked it a only a few days ago, cancelling with 5 days notice, and even the staff were sure it should have only been $18...

Nestled in the heart of nature, the Dan Patterson Conservation Area is a delightful destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. With its spacious gravel parking lot available at no cost, visitors can easily access this beautiful area. The conservation site features an adjacent dog park with ample field space for furry friends to frolic freely. History buffs will appreciate the presence of several historical buildings accompanied by informative posters that shed light on the area's past.
Very fun conservation area! The open has a nice gravel parking lot, fairly sizeable and free to use. There is an adjacent dog park that had a good amount of field space. There are a few historical buildings with a poster giving information about the history which is interesting. There is a jungle gym and park for kids and a picnic area, though at present the picnic area is closed. There are two paths, one an open loop for hiking or cross country skiing, the other the Old Growth Trail along the river. The Old Growth Trail is not a loop but the trail is moderate, with lots of hills and narrow areas that make for a very fun hike! Gorgeous views and lots of nature to see.

Great place for walking. in winter you can ski from the high mountain. There are two sides of the roads, the old and the new trail. In our walk there were huge blocks of ice thrown ashore. It's incredible how they got there, the whole coast is strewn with them. .paths are passable. There is a plant for dogs and their walks.

Beautiful conservation area! Nice, well kept wide path along the river, up the ridge and through the woods. Nice mix of meadow and lookout points as well. Le Café Siam is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of St. Thomas, offering an authentic Thai dining experience that transports you straight to Thailand. As you enter this family-owned establishment, you're greeted by a beautifully adorned space filled with traditional royal Thai art, creating an enchanting atmosphere that feels worlds away from everyday life. The warm and friendly staff, including family members James, Yoh, Megan, and Grace, are dedicated to making your visit truly special.
The first time for us to come to this restaurant. The foods is from original Thai to taste. Good to come early because the table is not too much. It’s feels like we eat at home. I found many books about Thai around this restaurant to read and know more about Thai. Food and services are all good. We miss Motherland when we are here. Thanks.

Yo, this place was the bomb — for real! I loved the atmosphere. Even though it’s a small spot, it had a lot of traditional Thai decor that gave it a warm and welcoming vibe. My wife and I ordered the coconut rice with green curry and a side of spicy papaya salad. Then, to our surprise, they brought us a plate on the house — Pad Thai with crispy fried pork — and oh my god, everything was absolutely delicious. The papaya salad was really spicy, just like I asked for, and it was amazing — fiery yet refreshing at the same time. The Pad Thai had so many layers of flavor — sweet, sour, and savory. The coconut rice was fluffy with just the right hint of fresh coconut aroma. But that green curry definitely stole the show. It had tender chunks of beef, American peppers, and a creamy sauce that helped cool down the heat from the papaya salad. It was so good. I also got a Thai tea with light ice, and wow — what a refreshing drink. I came here looking for authenticity, and they definitely delivered. Five stars all day from me. Thank you so much — and shoutout to the waitress (I wish I remembered her name) — she was the best!

Why is this establishment in St. Thomas, Ontario, rather than in the celestial realms serving the Gods? Regardless of the culinary genre, this hidden gem on Talbot Street epitomizes authenticity. Never before have I experienced cuisine with such a harmonious blend of flavors. The ambiance is both warm and inviting, with decor that is a feast for the eyes. The food is absolutely extraordinary, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in both preparation and presentation. My respect to the chefs is immense; it is abundantly clear that they are masters of their craft. I am utterly astounded and fervently recommend this restaurant to any aficionado of Thai cuisine. This is not your run-of-the-mill eatery; this is luxury gourmet dining at Kentucky Fried Chicken prices. The staff was exceedingly gracious, and even the ice cream seemed to be divinely inspired. Thank you for the wonderful time and experience good sirs and mams. I will be returning soon :)

I am compelled to write my first review after dining with Le Cafe Siam. Food was delicious and authentic, ambiance was tasteful and represents the rich culture, people who run this place are a lovely family who treat their customers with great warmth and hospitality. As Asians we struggle to find a good Thai place and this is the best spring roll and pad Thai we’ve ever had in our 5 years in Canada. James the co-owner & co-chef is super knowledgeable about Thai food and it’s history. He and his brother cook with love and hold a high standard of the food quality and authenticity without compromise. We ordered 4 dishes and another to take home. Will definitely be coming back.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Le Cafe Siam. The atmosphere was just right - the restaurant was perfectly lit, relaxing music playing overhead and just a hint of conversation from other patrons. We were seated promptly, and had a few moments to peruse the menu over drinks. From appetizers to our main course, the food was exquisite. Amazing care was put into every dish, and the tastes and flavors were so enjoyable. Due to traveling, my wife and I have dined out a lot over the past couple of weeks, but this by far was the best dining experience we have had. If you're in the London / St. Thomas area, do yourself a favor, and try them.

Great food that is fresh and made in house. Always a great place to have authentic Thai food. There are only a few tables so I would reserve ahead if there are more than just two in your party. I recommend any of the curry dishes with coconut rice. Will be back in the future as dishes are so reasonably priced too!

Al's Pizzeria is a must-visit spot for pizza lovers, especially if you're in the area. Even after moving away from St. Thomas, many find themselves returning just to indulge in their delicious offerings. The panzos are particularly noteworthy—filled with rich cheese and fresh toppings that make them a standout choice. Their Thursday special of two panzerotti with three toppings and two pops for just $13.99 is an incredible deal!
Seriously!!!! Settle down!!! These panzos are out of control!!! I moved out of St Thomas few years ago but whenever I'm back I gotta grab a pie or slice but never have I got the panzo. Thursday 2 panzerotti 3 topping and 2 pop. 13.99... Look at it!! Filled with amazing cheese and great fresh toppings... these are a small... pay attention competion they call these a small!!! Awesome as ever Als back to the gym for me now 🤣

Lol you have got to be kidding me just ordered the Thursday special two panzarottis on confederation from this place my husband went there to pick it up came home with a small pepperoni pizza because they had given our panzarottis to somebody else so my husband had called they said they would make some fresh ones in 45 minutes LOL I'm starving to death by this point so my husband had no choice but to agree and have to wait for it and then they had the nerve to call back and ask can you please bring back the small pepperoni pizza like is this really how you run this business I would like to know what exactly were you going to do with that small pepperoni pizza that is already been in somebody else's house? Unbelievable but I can assure you it will be the last for me used to really like this place.

While the food was amazing, the service was not. We went into the store and ordered 2 wraps and 2 cans of pop. Now it was a Friday night which I know is busy, and had the delay of almost a half hour been due to that I would have said fine. But we literally watched the person start the wraps and walk away 3 times because she thought she had to be in everyone else's work space. I don't know if she is the supervisor or manager but she needs to learn how to focus on one task at a time or delegate jobs better.

Order a pizza for delivery it never showed up. It’s was well over an hour and a half, I called them back. The guy on the other line told me oh it’s been sitting here. He first thought I called the wrong store??? I told him, No I called you. For delivery, Then I said I didn’t want that pizza that’s been sitting there for an hour and a half. Are you gonna make a new ones? He said no, I told him to cancel the order. I’m calling Domino’s. FYI Please don’t do edibles while you’re working.

I come here quite often, but this is just sad. Almost 2 entire pieces are pretty much inedible... this happened Feb 14th evening, and it wasn't busy whatsoever.

Great pizza, usually have to wait longer than expected for pick up, but worth thr wait majority of the time! I had to update my review to a one star from 5 as we recently had a pizza made in error and were promised a free pizza on our next visit. Next time we ordered the free pizza wasn't honored. They claimed the information was lost. I haven't returned

Great place for breakfast! There's a good selection of food and the service was wonderful. Our server was Jasmine and she was awesome. Very attentive and friendly. Would recommend this location!

My lovely wife and I were out celebrating our Twentieth wedding anniversary today. We decided Sunset Grill on Talbot St in St Thomas was where we were going to eat our brunch. We had the pleasure of Courtney serving our table and she was professional, down to earth and just what we needed. Her great sense of humour set a nice tone. Courtney was able to rustle us up a steak and cheese sandwich with home fries and a strawberry, whip cream french toast deal that was to die for(see photos). The steak, home fries and slaw is a huge meal. If you're really hungry boys and girls, this will fill you nicely. Likely won't be dessert after this cornucopia of steak and cheese wonderfulness. With peppers, OH MY GOODNESS PEPPERS! The French toast tasted a lot like a cross between funnel cake and elephant ears. A mouthful of brunch goodness. A cheque your body can easily cash. You have to take a pilgrimage to the Award winning Sunset Grill. Courtney...you made our experience amazing..You're a Sunset Girl. BOOM! Luv Malcom💪😎💜Stay strong St Thomas.

If you haven’t eaten at Sunset Grill, you’re seriously missing out. The atmosphere, lighting, staff and food all contribute to a perfect way to start your day. The Avocado Toast Meal might be one of the best breakfast meals I have ever eaten anywhere. It’s a must try if you love avocado and Mediterranean/greek cuisine.

My husband and I came in just on a whim, hungry and wanting to stop somewhere for brunch before heading to a market. We were served by Linda, who was just lovely. The service was timely and friendly, with a great menu and decent prices. We loved it! will be coming back.

My friend and I were on our way back home from a weekend in Port Stanley, so we stopped for a quick breakfast before our drive. The food was good, but the service staff definitely made our experience at this location amazing! Very friendly and personable! I myself am a server in a breakfast restaurant and truly appreciate excellent service!

I had breakfast with my friend today and we both had the sunset eggs (Benedict). Food was flavourful and tasty. Our server, Julia, was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back! :)
