Tunis-Carthage International Airport

3.0
(6186)
International airport
Airport
Tunis-Carthage International Airport, with the IATA code TUN and ICAO code DTTA, serves as Tunisia's primary international airport. Situated 8 km from Tunis' city center, it first opened in 1938. As the busiest airport in Tunisia and the third busiest in North Africa, it offers various facilities such as currency exchange and SIM card purchase. The airport provides good services but could benefit from additional seating near check-in counters during peak times.
I had read the reviews and was frankly worried what the experience would be like. It was great. I don't understand the negativity. Everything went smoothly and I departed on time. I spent all my dinars before arriving. Prices in the airport were reasonable. Awesome. I did however walk to the airport because I had time this was a mistake as some sections are motorway. I would probably walk again though. 😂

No toilet paper inside bathrooms Not well organized. Seems old. Nice helpful people. You don’t feel like many other airports that there are people after you. Tunisian dinars are not accepted inside airport and once you get past passport authorities. Very weird that a country disrespects its own currency. Free duty market is not that great.
M L — Google review
this airport felt like what i could only imagine navigating the bureaucracy of the Soviet Union would be like. i was absolutely not fond of the architechure as the moderately distanced ceiling suddenly begins to fall down onto you if you want to check your luggage out. a lot of the airport kinda just looked like a diy project gone wrong. i did appreciate these steps that showcased a level of diversity that i dont think ive seen in an airport before, even if it was just flags on stairs i was delighted to see senegals flag🇸🇳. this however did not make up for the fact that a lot of the staff members seemed to just be doing whatever as if theyre in 2 broke girls but this time its not funny💔💔🥀🥀 despite this the bloke (malik) at the car rental called cardel janena (i think thats what its called) was the BEST‼️‼️‼️bless his soul. this airport overall was really clapped i fear. pls do better cuz i love tunisia as a country but this airport isnt it. okay i had to add an extra star cuz the lady who was checking our luggage out was SO kind and did it in like no time love her

## About the Airport - From the airport to the city There is a bus to Tunis Marine station every hour at 00 minutes. The bus stop is located straight ahead from the far-left exit of the airport. The fare is 1 TND. The departure point is at the stop “Transtu Bus Pour Centre Ville.” - From the city to the airport Take bus No.635 to the airport. Other local buses also go there, but it may be difficult to know where to get off. The fare is 1 TND or less. - The airport is very crowded. Even before 7 AM, there are many flights and long lines everywhere. Arriving early is strongly recommended. - Currency exchange rate was 2.862 TND/USD at the airport. In the city, the rate was slightly better (e.g. 2.890 TND/USD). - SIM card purchased from Orange. The “Navigui 4 Go” plan (4GB) cost 12 TND. ## Other Notes - Many hotels accept credit card payments, but a 6% service charge may be added depending on the place. - Beer stands are common. While drunk people may sometimes approach you, staff usually step in, so it wasn’t a real problem. However, when seating is crowded and tables are close, be extra cautious. Also, even if a place advertises beer, it is often non-alcoholic. - Food is not always better just because it’s more expensive. Many dishes are quite spicy.

Tunis Carthage Airport is the main airport of the capital, Tunis. The airport is relatively small for the amount of traffic it handles, and it often feels crowded. Passport control can take quite a long time, so be prepared to wait. In the past, the airport has had a reputation for delays and even issues with luggage handling, although I hope things are improving. Personally, I’m traveling through it now and so far everything is fine, but the reputation still lingers. Overall, the airport functions, but it could definitely benefit from improvements in organization, efficiency, and traveler comfort.
G L — Google review
This is the key airport in Tunisia and the hub for Air Tunisia. The airport is very old, and is somewhat maintained. The airport is quite small, and moving around from one end to the other is done in less than 5 minutes. Whether the arrival hall (lower floor) or the departure hall (upper hall), there are many eateries, cafes, duty free shops, currency exchange stores, car rental services, and other services. The airport is served with ample restrooms, a WiFi that is OK, and prayer rooms. Luggage check-in, immigration, and customs experiences are OK, and depend on how crowded the airport is. The duty free area is OK, too. There are 2 travel lounges. One unique thing about the airport is the lovely mosaics displayed at certain places.
Fahd ب — Google review
Tunis Airport. This is a small airport but your eally need to check in atleast 2.5 to 3hrs before departure due to the passport control and security check. The ques at least 15 mins. The best part for muslim traveller is that they have surau / musolla / prayer room both at the check in area and after the security. If you choose at the departure hall then it is on the left side around the Gate 16 -19. Wudu is at the toilet. Hope 1 day they can make a proper wudu area.
Zawati T — Google review
The airport left an extremely negative impression. The staff behaved unprofessionally, with noticeable attempts at extortion and discriminatory attitudes toward certain passengers. Such conduct is unacceptable for an international airport and creates a very poor image of the country

Belvedere Park

Garden
Belvedere Park, the largest park in Tunis, offers a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. It features expansive lawns, lush greenery, and towering trees that provide a tranquil atmosphere away from the urban noise. Families can enjoy picnics, leisurely walks along various pathways, and children can play in scattered playgrounds while adults relax under the shade of trees.
Amazing park, amazing place where the beauty of wild life and fresh air are mixed! I recommend.

The place changed alot i visited belvedre 5 years ago and then i visited lat week, i noticed they had new animals and they gave them more space and they got rid of alot of cages which is the beat idea for me
Nesrine M — Google review
Good zoo very hot in the day and it closes fairly early as it would probably be nicer when its a bit cooler as animals will be out. Also if there were more trees planted for shade
Solo P — Google review
It's nice zoo but if they do more work on it it will be wonderful.. My kids enjoyed but they said why the animals skinny Also some animals missing Anyway we enjoyed and hope they clean it

Go at your own discretion. Me and my girls followed google maps and it took us on a journey!! Were there feral dogs? Yes. Were we chased? Yes. Did we survive? Yes? Was Belvedere park really and truly a park? NO!! It was a view point half way up a highway. I can’t really say it was worth it but the view was very nice It was very foggy and dusty

Small but beautiful, clean and well organized zoo. The animals look much more healthier than some years back.

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Zoo Tunis, located in Belvedere Park, is a family-friendly destination with a variety of well-maintained animal enclosures. The park's northernmost location in the new city of Tunis offers beautiful views along Avenue de Paris and Avenue Bourguiba. Visitors can also access the park conveniently via the metro. The zoo features animals endemic to the Magreb region, including dorca gazelles and mouflons, as well as a pride of healthy-looking lions.
A family place which contains a free access to open area green parc full of tree and graces And a zoo with less than a 1 dollar fee for entrance
Wael A — Google review
The zoo in Tunis has a lot of animals, maybe 30+ types, including many large mammals that are fun to watch. Peacocks wander the grounds. The price is good as well. My only complaint is that the cages are quite small and the bars make it hard to take pictures.
Simon G — Google review
Directions aren't enough you easily get lost and must ask people to find animals you want to see or use Google maps, just zoom in. 1/3 caged and pools are empty. Didn't see any hippos or crocodiles. But for Tunisian standards and for the sake of my son's happiness, I give 3 stars. We only found 2 maps whole tour which aren't clear and doesn't show your exact location to navigate. Animals should be more taken care of. Especially some of them like elephants had so many scars. Tickets aren't 1.1dt but 2.5dt still very cheap.
Hulusi B — Google review
Very nice park with a good variety of animals. I didn’t see the hippo, but most animals were present. Some of them seemed a bit tired, and I think the enclosures could be better maintained, but overall it was a pleasant visit.
Abderrahmane D — Google review
The zoo is pretty big and includes a looooot of different animals like lion, elk، monkey, flamingo, bear, ostrich that looks like sheep and sheep 🐏 The view area is a little far and the there are some small cages that could be bigger for some animals, but overall it was pretty good . The price is only 2 Dinar too
Ilyas I — Google review
I went to this zoo back in 1994 as a very young child, then again in 2016 and now today, August 2025. And the zoo not only is still terrible but the animals are treated worse than trash in the bin. The owners would be in prison in any other developed country. The whole point of a zoo is to see the different animals but what a miserable place, the animals are very skinny and hungry, very dirty and lack of shade means they're under the hot sun for most of the day. The lions are so skinny and weak they look like cats. I remember seeing a monkey with a visible large tumour growing out of it's lower back. The zoo itself is big but there are many people trying to sell knock off Chinese items, public facilities are also poor. The only positive is that it's super cheap to enter. It doesn't help that some visitors like to throw things at the animals or bang the cages to get a reaction. I'm not surprised, the overall culture in this country mistreat animals and see them as nothing, with all the public displays of cow heads in meat shops or skinny cats/dogs all over the streets.
Ahmed A — Google review
It was truly upsetting to see the condition of some of the animals in this zoo. The two lions were kept in a very small enclosure with little sign of food, a large camel was confined to a space far too small for its size, and the two bears appeared to be starving. This situation is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the care and welfare of the animals, which are symbolic of Africa’s rich wildlife. I sincerely hope the management takes immediate action to improve their living conditions and ensure they are treated with the care and respect they deserve.
Y R — Google review
I love the Zoo but sadly to say the animals are kept in small enclosures. No room to walk around much but taking a loved one with you does make the experience way better. Great place to kill time and to go for a walk.

Shopping mall
Tunisia Mall, located in the outskirts of Tunis, offers a variety of options for visitors to enjoy their time. The mall features a range of amenities including a cinema, coffee shops, stores with international brands, and a kids play area. There is also an underground parking facility as well as parking on the main level. The food court provides diverse dining options and there is even a small Paul bakery stand on the ground floor.
Tunisia Mall is a great place to visit! It’s modern, clean, and offers a wide variety of international and local brands. The atmosphere is vibrant but comfortable, and there are plenty of nice cafés and restaurants for a quick break. It’s also very well-organized and safe, making it one of the best shopping destinations in Tunis. Definitely worth spending a few hours here!
Remzi D — Google review
Medium size shopping center. Not too far from city center, about 15minutes drive. Center has good amount of shops and small food court. Area around the mall good for walking when the weather is not hot.
Mohammed H — Google review
Cozy shopping mall although it is the biggest in Tunisia! Food court is fine، good kids area.
Mohammed M — Google review
The mall is very nice and clean with great shops , but be careful at night — some taxi drivers take advantage of late hours and don’t use the meter. It’s better to agree on the fare before getting in
Mohamed N — Google review
For me nothing special, it's a mall yes but.
TOLPIT W — Google review
I thought that Mole would be amazing, but I found it disappointing. Without air conditioning, the place for lunch or dinner is a disaster.
Erika A — Google review
This is a small but comfy mall. The people are super organized and they're really nice. But, you know, the toilets aren't on each floor.
Ehab U — Google review
Where is the mall? Honestly, I don’t understand what’s inside Tunisia Mall. First, it’s dirty you can’t even find tissues on the floor. Everything is way too expensive! Are you serious with these prices? Buying elsewhere is cheaper. The mall itself is tiny just two floors, that’s it. Honestly, very disappointing.

The quality of service at Le Paradiso restaurant is always impeccable and customers are bound to return. The food is excellent, and the staff, particularly Ayman, provides exceptional service. This establishment is among the top choices for those looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a pleasant environment.
This is a gem of a restaurant. We ate in the shaded courtyard and were impressed by the high quality of our dishes. I had beetroot falafel and my partner had stuffed capsicums. The highlight was desert: the citrus tart, pictured, was delicious. Price is a bit steep, but well worth it.

New favorite dinner spot! Great vibes all around—friendly and welcoming staff, really tasty food, and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The only thing I’d say is I wish the menu had a few more options, but everything we tried was spot-on. Definitely coming back!!!

Best restaurant in downtown tunis, no contest. Fast and hospitable, the food is incredibly flavorful and well priced.
Khiari N — Google review
Great location and cozy, authentic décor. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Food is good but the menu is limited and only available by QR code. Staff was a bit too present, standing close and asking often. Nice spot for a date or drinks with friends. Worth a try!
Abir B — Google review
We really enjoyed the food and the wine here. It was nice to be able to choose a selection of smaller dishes - there was no pressure to have a main course. They also had a good range of Tunisian wines. The terrace/garden had a nice relaxed vibe. Yes, it’s expensive, but we thought it was worth it.
Laura H — Google review
The place itself looks nice, but the service and food were terrible. Items we never ordered (and never received) were added to our bill, which is unacceptable. On top of that, the staff kept harassing my friends just because we booked a large table and people arrived at different times. Overall, it was a really bad experience, I don’t recommend this place and will definitely never go back.

If i could give a 0 i wpuld! Horrible experience i got charged 28dt for this plate. I could have rented a room in bali for this price. The waiters were very rude and we felt very unwelcomed like we were sitting there for free! When asked about the quantity served they justified it by saying we couldnt give a whole cammbert piece(we got the camabert a l ail) the maitre at salle was ouufing at us to! Please dont go there you will your evening ang get scammed. Such a shame this couldve been a lovely place

Soryana Restaurant is a delightful gateway into the rich tapestry of Syrian cuisine, which draws inspiration from various cultures including Persian, Arab, and Ottoman influences. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering dishes such as grilled meats, Fatayer, Tabbouleh, Hummus, Baba Ganoush, and kebabs that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Diners have enjoyed their meals in a comfortable atmosphere that encourages relaxation—perfect for savoring every bite.
I think Tunisians are very strict while giving points. It was delicious, the service was also great except language barrier. This is not the best atmosphere but quick and I recommend to taste all!

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at Soryana Restaurant. I ordered the chicken kebab sandwich, and he had the beef kebab sandwich. We also shared a small meza. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and relaxed.

This Syrian spot has really nice decor and a great vibe. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food was just okay. Portions weren’t the best—especially the garlic sauce. We ordered it several times and always got a really small amount. Overall, it’s a nice place to hang out, but the food could be better.

Excellent experience at Soryana! Delicious food, great drinks, and excellent service! Everything on their menu is well priced, and there is a lot to choose from. I got the Cuisse de Poulet, and it was amazing. The chicken was full of flavor, and very well cooked. The Soupe Aux Lentilles was also fantastic. There is seating available inside, and a lot of space. There was great music to listen to as well. Everything about Soryana was amazing. I had an excellent experience. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Tunis.

Haute French restaurant
Restaurant L'Astragale is not just a mere eatery; it provides patrons with an extraordinary encounter where superb service vies with the caliber and visual appeal of the dishes. To prove this, a distinctive blend of sophistication effortlessly turns dinner into a mesmerizing affair, far removed from the conventional norm, making it ideal for an intimate initial rendezvous. The establishment also offers a Ramadan menu comprising a sumptuous five-course meal at 95 Tunisian Dinar.
This is a gem restaurant in Tunis located in an area where you do not expect to find a restaurant. The welcome and service was top notch. They have a short list of food that they offer. Each one of us ordered a different plate and they all came very well garnished and appetizing. The loup de mer I had was one of the best if not the best Ihave ever had. It is definitely a place to enjoy a great meal and service over lunch

The atmosphere is interesting, it's in an old house in what looks like a neighborhood. It's nice inside with good music, but not too loud that it drowns out the conversation. The service is very good. The waiters are attentive and the apppetizers are good. The food is very good, it's well seasoned and interesting, we got rabbit and duck which is hard to find elsewhere usually. One of the best places in Tunis.

French haute cuisine at its finest set in what must be one of the most beautiful courtyards in tunis. This restaurant truly sums up the quality that can be found here in Tunis in terms of french haute cuisine. The menu is broad with interesting items such a tongue. I had the privilege to have a three course meal here and from the moment i arrived Riadh, the owner welcomed me to his restaurant with a warm greeting that immediately made me fell at home. I started with artichokes & prawns then moved on to one of the specialities of the house the calamari, after a brief respite i dived into the perfectly cooked fish main & finished with a lemon pie. All of the dishes i was served where presented perfectly & tasted out of this world. If you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion then i can highly recommend this place the professionalism of the staff & quality of the food is sublime. I will defiantly be back.

What a beautiful place, hidden in a small street surrounded by houses. Note the entrance is not on Charles Nicolle avenue, but on a narrow street behind. The atmosphere is relaxed. A nice place to have a good conversation while enjoying quality food. The background music (Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour, etc.) adds intimacy and even romance. Perfect for couples, and also for families and business meetings. The menu has a selection of fish and meat. No options for vegetarians apart from soups. All the dishes we tried were good. The chef kindly accommodated our requests to tweak some. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Excellent service! Will come back!

I organised a dinner for my friends one day before my wedding. The whole experience was a pleasure, right from the beginnnig when I got a quick offer from the restaurant. Visiting the restaurant, all the staff was very professional and friendly. On the day itself, we were greeted by the waiters. They accomodated our order for traditional Tunisian food, which they usually don't do and still managed to produce an amazing result. They were flexible to one of my friends coming unexpectedly. All my friends liked it. The staff never interrupted our talks and weren't intrusive at all, yet they conversed with us, which created a very pleasant atmosphere. I'd recommend anyone who wants to have an event that stays in memory, to go there.

Tunis Marriott Hotel

Hotel
Tunis Marriott Hotel is an upscale establishment with two refined restaurants, a lobby lounge, and a rooftop pool and bar. Le restaurant Lonzie Grill offers innovative and varied culinary concepts with a stunning view of Tunis from its terrace. The rooftop bar provides a cozy atmosphere and an impressive panoramic view of the city. Guests have praised the exceptional service provided by the friendly staff, noting their attentiveness and English fluency.
A Truly Exceptional Stay at the Tunis Marriott Hotel This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences I have had in Tunis in the last 15 years. The Tunis Marriott Hotel not only lives up to the brand's well-known value but elevates it with a level of exceptional personal touches. What stands out most is the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They are constantly looking to serve you with a smile, and their proactive care is truly remarkable—they'll even notice a small detail and offer assistance before you even ask. The hotel's facilities are equally impressive. The rooftop swimming pool is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly maintained/guarded, situated right next to a lovely rooftop bar. The lounge on the 9th floor was one of my best experiences at any Marriott worldwide (and I have spent hundreds of nights in them!). Its relaxing design, inviting architecture, and impeccable cleanliness, along with the great lighting and furniture, make it a wonderful place to relax. The breakfast and afternoon food selection was delicious. The main lobby is also large and inviting, perfect for enjoying a drink or getting some work done at the spacious tables and bar-style work areas. The restaurant, where I had breakfast daily, is well-furnished and offers a rich collection of hot and cold food, all served by a super friendly team. My room was of the high Marriott quality I've come to expect—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. I appreciated the cleaning staff's attentiveness. The location is excellent as well, conveniently close to both the airport and the city center. A short walk brings you to a variety of good local restaurants and coffee shops. Overall, the Marriott Tunis is a top-tier hotel in the city, and the exceptional service from the staff is what I will remember most. I was extremely pleased with my experience and highly recommend it for both business and leisure travel.

A special thank you to Aziz from the reception, Amira and the Loung team. Abir your are exceptional everywhere, your positive altitude changed positively the 11eme. Ghoufran and Arbi for being so wonderful and helpful; their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thanks to all the hotels' staff for your hospitality and making each guest experience very memorable.

This hotel truly sets the bar high when it comes to customer experience, making it hard to find this level of service anywhere else. The security staff are exceptionally professional, which is quite rare in Tunisia. The 11th floor bar is a peaceful haven during the day for professionals, and in the evening the DJs create a fantastic atmosphere. A huge shout-out to Abir for her kindness and constant attentiveness, and to Larbi and Firas for their outstanding service.

This hotel is very well established and provides high-quality service, especially by Tunisian standards. The rooms and the welcoming, friendly hotel staff are remarkable. It is also conveniently close to the airport. I would highly recommend it.

The rooftop offers a breathtaking panoramic view over Tunis, creating an unforgettable setting. The service is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant experience. The rooftop swimming pool adds a unique and refreshing touch, making the atmosphere even more special and memorable.

The hotel offers exceptional customer service special shout out to Mr. Najmeddine, and also to the other staff members whose names I unfortunately didn’t catch. They were incredibly attentive and always available whenever I needed anything. From check-in to check-out, everyone was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made my stay feel very welcoming and comfortable. That said, I wouldn’t recommend the on-site spa. The services are significantly overpriced for what you get, and in my experience, the quality didn’t justify the cost. If you’re looking to relax, the hotel itself has a great atmosphere, but I’d suggest checking out other spa options nearby instead.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Bardo National Museum, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Central Market of Tunis. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

The National Museum of Bardo, located in Tunis, Tunisia, is a must-visit for enthusiasts of ancient art and history. It houses a remarkable collection of Roman mosaics and marble statues from Carthage and other archaeological sites across Tunisia. The museum's palatial setting showcases intricate mosaics depicting daily life, mythology, and Roman history on its expansive walls.
High standard museum with an excellent array of art on display. This museum is so tastefully decorated and well laid out. Vibrant mosaics with beautiful colours. The museum is reasonably sized well laid out so it doesn’t feel crowded. There is so much to see here. One of the best museums I have visited. Security is good and staff are professional. You will have leave rucksacks or larger bags at reception as you are not allowed to take them into the exhibition halls. There are toilet facilities and a large car park on site. Probably the number one place to visit in Tunis. They also have to cool “Salammbo exhibition” on display until 22/01/2025. Affordable entry price.
Legends L — Google review
Bardo is the biggest and most important museum in Tunisia. It features the points about the history of Tunisia, focusing on the Roman times and the transition to an Islamic state. There is nothing about the contemporary history of the country. There are a lot of chambers and you get the information in Arabic, French and English. A couple of hours is enough to explore the building.
Reza N — Google review
I wasn’t really interested in museums but my friend brought me here and I was honestly amazed once I stepped inside. Everywhere you look, it’s covered in mosaics that really capture the Arab spirit and that’s when I realized this is an absolute must-see in Tunisia. After your visit, make sure to stop by the outdoor cafe. There are couches where you can sit back, relax and enjoy some tea and sweets. The mosaic-style interior there is also beautiful and totally worth checking out.
Lamiya — Google review
Very impressive, one of the biggest collections of antique mosaics in the world. Location is breathtaking, every room offers another miracle of tiles and tiny mosaics. Staff at the information is super friendly and helpful! Unfortunately toilets are dirty and stinky, so is the café (be careful, cats are using the green surrounding as toilets…). Wouldn’t recommend to take a seat and avoid the restrooms at all costs. Allover experience is very good, best go in the early hours to avoid too many people.

4 stars just because there is not any kind of information or audio guide, the only way is with a private tour. Otherwise the museum is amazing. Great collection of mosaics and other historic artefacts. Lots of police in the surroundings to guarantee safety. Payed around 9TND from city center to the museum.

The National Military Museum in Tunisia is an ideal destination for those interested in military history and its impact on modern Tunisia. Located within a secure military facility, the museum does not require prior appointment and visitors are escorted by an officer who acts as a guide. While the officer may not be a specialist historian, they offer a thorough tour of the exhibits. Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to explore independently or translate French captions.
Great museum with friendly military staff, would highly recommend as it goes through the full history of the Tunisian Military.

Excellent little gem of a place that is one of the Bey of Tunisia's ex-palaces. Looked after by the military, who look after some if the sites of military significance in Tunisia -see the Tunisia Campaign Nov 1942- May 1943 and the Marenth Line- our guide around the Musuem told my wife and I that the word needs to get out more to attract visitor. Kasbah Square, a prominent landmark in the heart of Tunis, is an expansive and serene space that beautifully blends history with modernity. Nestled near the bustling Medina, this square features the impressive Kasbah Mosque and serves as a central hub for government buildings, including the City Hall of Tunis. The square is adorned with a striking monument symbolizing Tunisia's fight for independence, making it not only a gathering place but also a site of cultural significance.
A beautiful square in Tunis with a beautiful National Monument. The square is massive with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors and all the views. The National Monument is stunning and a testament to the history of Tunisia. I really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend. It is free to enter.

Interesting place to visit. The monument is a small version of the one in Algiers, but very interesting. I love the way the flags set it off. There are quite a few things in this area but this is a real feature of the square. Well worth wandering around.

This is the most known place in Tunis. I visited it at the sunset and was beautiful. From here it's very simple to go inside the Medina. We arrived from the street of the ministers and we was surprised when arrived in the square because is very flat and big with the big monument in the centre. I recommend to visit it!

Too bad that there is no maintenance here, or at least a good one. For what I've considered to be an important place since it's a few meters away from the city Hall, I have been shocked by the amount of vandalism in this place. In addition to that, many inappropriate stuff was happening in this public space. Be mindful of these things before you go for a visit with your family. Besides that, the place is very safe for visitors.

Ez-Zitouna Mosque, the oldest in Tunisia, is a historic site and revered Islamic university with a 141-ft. minaret. Situated in the heart of the Medina, it was originally constructed in the 8th century during the Aghlabid dynasty's rule and has since undergone several expansions, each contributing to its unique architectural style. While visitors cannot enter the mosque itself, they can admire its Moorish, Ottoman, and Andalusian influences from a distance.
Before visiting this beautiful mosque in Tunisia, I recommend doing some research about it. After reading all the information, you won’t see this mosque as just another Big mosque in Tunisia. The history of this mosque and its significance for Tunisia, Africa, and Islam is very important—you will truly enjoy your visit and be amazed by its grandeur and spiritual presence. It is located in the heart of the Medina, as this mosque is indeed the heart of Tunis. ❤️

Very very nice mosque in the middle of the busy madinah. A nice spot to pray and relax. The mosque opens it's door at 15:00. You need to dress up as it is holy place, so no shorts or revealing cloths.
Mohammed M — Google review
This is the biggest mosque in the central part of Tunis. It is an active mosque where daily prayers are held. You can enter the courtyard of the mosque but remember to dress decently for the place.
Reza N — Google review
The Zitouna Mosque is the spiritual heart of Tunis — a masterpiece of Islamic architecture and history. Its grand courtyard, graceful columns, and serene atmosphere make it an essential stop in the Medina. Prayer hall is separate for women and men and women have to cover their heads, the courtyards are beautiful
Koel G — Google review
A peaceful place, i am not muslim and I was allowed inside. I was wearing modest clothing. I know the rules : with a longer dress and covered shoulders. I also had my own scarf for my head. I don’t find it discriminating to wear something over my head in respect to their customs (be it religion for them, not only customs). In orthodox churches it is the same and we had clothes provided for men and women who came in tank tops and shorts to visit monasteries so I see absolutely nothing wrong in this.
Alexandra G — Google review
It's both a religious and historical monument located in the heart of the Medina of Tunis. Built in the 8th century, it is one of the oldest and most important mosques in the country. It is renowned for its beautiful architecture, ancient columns, and its large minaret. The prayer hall is reserved exclusively for Muslims, but the courtyard is open to all visitors and tourists, who can admire the beauty and serenity of the place.
Mohamed L — Google review
Don't let yourself convinced to go to the terrace of the cafe. Just dress properly and go inside the mosque. We had an unpleasant incident with one of the guys hunting for tourists, but the local sellers saw what was happening, got me dressed up and took us inside the mosque. It's a very nice mosque and they should allow tourists at all times as long as they behave properly. There is no entrance charge but it's nice to give some change to the beggers. There is a very nice energy all around the mosque.

The Central Market of Tunis, also known as Marche Central, is a vibrant hub that offers an authentic taste of local life. The airy hall adorned with wooden rafters creates a delightful atmosphere where visitors can immerse themselves in the colorful sights and enticing smells. It's not just a shopping destination; it's an educational experience for families looking to introduce their children to new flavors and ingredients.
Always love to look at a local market. We stopped here on a group walking tour. The fish vendors had huge octopus and squid that are nigh on impossible to get in UK ,even though I live by the sea. No photos. Google maps does not accept photos stored on my Windows 10 devices. Sorry .Had good ones!

ONE STAR – Tunis (La Goulette), Tunisia, North Africa. If you love to barter for textiles, leather products, jewelry, fashions, and other goods, you will enjoy the public market in Tunis. High intensity, narrow passageways, and a gauntlet of sellers. Most Americans prefer low-key sales environments; therefore, the one star. This is also the reason there are NO photos of the actual market, just the immediate surrounding area. We and our group were literally surrounded by high-pressure all the time. We took a rooftop break on top of one of the stores and met the Boss Cat. She was calm and taking a nap; kittens nearby. My advice to the Central Market Vendors: You will make more sales and money if you allow people to simply shop and ask questions... Turn off the high-pressure tactics.

Time l arrived was 3pm wasn't much left sellers almost closed even it closes at 4pm, seafood side was separated from the fruit and vegetables, plenty seafood choices but of course the area was smelling, lots of vegetable and fruits choices possible some locally grows, lots of dates available even fresh ones, have tested one first time it is different aromatic taste for me, there was a cheese section as well, where market is surrounded with streets are also local shops for different needs, if like to go wonder it is good place to visit.

Lovely market selling fruit, veg, fish and meats. The sight of the horse butcher advertising his produce via the display of a horses head was somewhat gruesome. I visited for the fish market and it was empty at 8am on Monday morning.

This is where the commerce takes place in central Tunis. Not only there are shops, but there are a lot of street vendors who sell their merchandise on the side of the street. It is very noisy and there is not really a lot to see here.
Reza N — Google review
A big market you can find everything at. I was at the sea products area and couldn't believe my eyes, so many varieties of fishes. They also have calamari, shrimps and lupus. There is a specific area for fruits as well as dried nuts and fruits. You can also buy meats there. Out on the streets, you can see sellers exposing their products. Alongside the streets are many shops for clothing stuff.

Nice place for dining with live music and pleasant atmosphere. Overall it felt a little too fancy, but the food was really good and the service was nice. I see a lot of reviews complain about difficulties finding the place. I didn't suffer with it, but keep in mind that it's inside medina and gps signal is not very stable in there. So just follow the map like old good times. The price is around higher end, but that's kinda expected once you're inside. I enjoyed the visit.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. It’s tucked away in a small alley, and at first it was hard to find, but a kind local guided me there. I do wish the entrance was a little easier to spot, but once inside, it feels like dining in a palace. I came around 6:30 p.m. when almost every restaurant in the Medina was already closing, and I couldn’t find anywhere else for dinner. This place was one of the very few still open—and they serve until 11:30 p.m. If you ever struggle to find an open restaurant in the evening, this is definitely the one to go to. The atmosphere is magical, with live music creating such a warm and inviting vibe. The staff are incredibly kind and polite. Our waiter spoke French and was so thoughtful. After dinner, when it started raining very heavily, he even walked me all the way to the main road with the restaurant’s only umbrella and helped me try to find a taxi. When I still couldn’t get one because of the rain, I unexpectedly met the young owner of the restaurant, who kindly drove me back to my Airbnb himself. I was so touched by this generosity and hospitality. Everyone here was so warm and genuine. I truly appreciate their kindness and want to thank them through this review. I also heard they are planning to add guest rooms, which I think would be amazing because the restaurant already has a beautiful view over the Medina. Highly recommend this place—not only for the food and atmosphere but also for the people who make it so special.

The food, service, and ambiance were all 5-star and we really appreciated hospitality from our waiter Marwen Charfeddine, whom did everything in his power to make us happy and comfortable. He even gave us a 15 minute tour of the building — they are renovating to add a beautiful hotel and hamam. Thank you for the nice evening, we really appreciated this time at your establishment!

Café Theater, located on the famous Avenue Habib Bourguiba in Tunis, offers a charming setting for locals and visitors to enjoy European-style snacks and brasserie-style food. The café's wide terrace provides a perfect spot to savor coffee while watching the lively avenue. With its classic Tunisian cafe fare, friendly atmosphere, and professional staff, it's a favorite among many. However, some suggest that more attention could be given to maintaining cleanliness at the venue.
Beautiful cafe at the center of the town, near the Theatre Municipal de Tunis. We had coffee and juice. It is a great pause after visiting the souks. It is usually busy but you will find a table.

Great location, I had no issues with the service as I see a lot of reviews mentioning it and no issues with the food either. Waiter was fine no super friendly but fine. They say a venue is only as good as the most recent visit. On three previous visits, I would have given this place 5 stars for food quality. This time, I ordered a salad which clearly stated it included parmesan cheese. When I realised cheese was missing, I asked if any could be brought to the table. Nothing came. They should have told me the salad was unavailable, rather than serve it with a key ingredient missing. As a result, the salad was bland and boring.

Azur City is a modern shopping center in Tunisia that boasts an impressive array of over 100 stores, including international brands. It offers a diverse range of eateries and even features a cinema for entertainment purposes. This mall stands out for its cleanliness and spacious parking area, making it easily accessible to visitors. The customer service is commendable, and the prices are reasonable. Moreover, Azur City provides various options for shopping and leisure activities, making it an ideal destination for both relaxation and retail therapy.
This mall is the closest to our area and its literally ideal for every week groceries, not too big, not too small. I visited every mall in tunisia and this one is by far the best in terms of quality and scale.
Amon — Google review
Extremely crowded shopping center, especially on weekends. The restaurant area is poorly maintained, with low service quality and hygiene that leaves much to be desired. One of the major downsides is the presence of only two small elevators serving the entire center — clearly a design flaw. These lifts might be suitable for an apartment building, but they are completely inadequate for a busy shopping mall. We spent an unreasonably long time waiting for them. On the positive side, the mall offers a wide variety of shops, including a large and well-stocked supermarket on the lower level that can meet almost all grocery needs. There is also a huge playground area, equipped with a rich variety of play structures. It’s arguably the biggest and best indoor play area in Tunisia. I spent around 50 dinars per child, and it’s easy to spend more — a great spot for families with kids. Another strong point is the large parking area, which makes it easier to access the center even during peak hours — a real advantage given the overall crowd levels. However, if you're seeking a calm, relaxing shopping experience, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this center on weekends. It's overwhelmingly busy and can be quite stressful. But if you enjoy lively, crowded environments, don’t mind long waits, and are okay with below-average service, this place might still be worth visiting for its variety of shops, big grocery market, large playground, and convenient parking.

Azur City is the biggest shopping center in Tunis. The complex is in two floors and offers a wide array of items, as well as a very big supermarket. It's slightly out of the city boundaries so you may come a distance to get here. It can be a nice option for a day out shopping here. The foud court has wide variety of items.
Reza N — Google review
The place gets incredibly crowded, especially on weekends, with large groups of teenagers, curious people, and families with loud, restless children. The food court becomes an absolute madhouse, packed with people scrambling to find a seat, all for overpriced and rather terrible food. Although the building appears to have central air conditioning, it’s often operated more like a fan, making the environment hot and stuffy, almost like sitting in a sauna. It's far from comfortable. During our last visit (on a Thursday), we stopped by Géant, the main market, and witnessed chaos, arguments and even physical altercations as groups of men fought over buying alcohol. Security had to step in. It was both sad and shocking. The only parts of the mall that seemed to get busy were Géant and the noisy, disorganized food court. Outside you will find hordes of men and teens smoking non stop and tossing their cigarette butts everywhere.
Kamel D — Google review
Huge place to shop so you must decide max 2 places to shop and 1 place to eat. Otherwise you will lose so much time. Especially if you have kids. For me only 1 problem that is transportation. If you are coming from Tunis side how would you cross the road? And in Tunisia minibuses always travel full. So especially leaving Azur City you will have to use taxi.

Ave Habib Bourguiba

Notable street
Avenue Habib Bourguiba is a vibrant and lively thoroughfare in the heart of Tunis, characterized by its beautiful tree-lined promenade and stunning art deco and art nouveau architecture. This iconic street has a rich history, having served as a central hub for protests during French colonial times when it was known as Avenue de la Marine.
A very beautifully designed street in the city center. I really like the combination of greenery and the pedestrian path with historical monuments. It’s a lovely walk through this street, and also a nice place to relax on one of the benches. It’s also the safest place in all of Tunisia.

The Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul and St Olivia of Palermo, inaugurated in 1897, stands as a remarkable testament to Tunisia's colonial past. Nestled on Avenue Habib Bourguiba, this neo-Romanesque architectural gem is the largest surviving structure from that era. Its striking yellow-and-white facade features a stunning golden mosaic depicting Jesus alongside two angelic figures playing trumpets. This grand church honors St.
Lovely little cathedral decorated with some very nice frescoes. Interesting mosaics of past popes on the walls too. Note that access is gained by the side door up an alley off Rue D'Alger.

The Cathedral of Saint Vincent de Paul is a stunning landmark right in the heart of Tunis, across from the French Embassy and near Avenue Habib Bourguiba. The architecture is beautiful, blending Romanesque and Moorish influences, and the stained glass windows inside are truly impressive. Even though it’s not a huge cathedral, it has a peaceful atmosphere that offers a nice escape from the busy street outside. It’s also an important piece of Tunisian history, dating back to the late 19th century, and still hosts services today. Definitely worth a quick visit if you’re exploring downtown Tunis—you don’t need long to appreciate its charm.

A recommended destination in Tunis is the shopping complex known as Le Palmarium. This vibrant establishment offers an array of enticing options for shoppers. With its diverse range of stores and boutiques, visitors can find a variety of goods and products to suit their needs. This shopping center, located on the main street, is a great place to shop for clothes and accessories. With two floors of mostly clothing shops, you’ll find a wide selection of items at normal prices. There’s also a small coffee shop where you can take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee. If you’re in need of some mobile phone accessories, you’ll find those here too. Overall, it’s a good shopping experience that won’t break the bank.

The Municipal Theatre is a stunning Art-Deco building located on the main street of colonial Tunis. This historic performing arts venue, with approximately 1300 seats, has recently been renovated and offers a rustic decor. While not open for visits, it comes highly recommended as a place to enjoy concerts, plays, and other performances. The theatre holds significant historical and architectural value and is considered a must-visit while in Tunis.
Nice building, very pretty. Lots of shows going on, saw a free dance performance outside one evening.

Tonight, the Théâtre Municipal de Tunis pulsed with 80s and 90s nostalgia. Iconic hits, a charismatic lead, and a vibrant live band had the crowd on their feet. Purple lights, a disco ball, and dreamy visuals set the scene for an unforgettable night of music and memories.

Barcelona Train Station

3.5

Train ticket office
Barcelona Train Station is a bustling hub that connects travelers to various destinations, including the vibrant neighborhoods and historical sites of the city. While it offers convenient access to local attractions like supermarkets and cultural landmarks, it's essential to be aware of ongoing construction affecting certain routes. This may require passengers to disembark at specific stops and walk to continue their journey. The station itself provides basic amenities such as restrooms and shops, making it a practical choice for commuters.
The downtown is a tiny bit rough but very authentic and I was very happy to walk in this neighbourhood. I wouldn’t recommend it to go there alone after dusk (I was walking with local) but if you want to see different part of Tunis …go
Marta C — Google review
The main train station in Tunis where you can get to different cities. Unfortunately, you should not have very high expectations. The station is managed OK but there is nothing fancy and there is no indication of the details of the route on each platform. You need to find someone to ask, if you can. As for trains, there is no AC and in summer time, it is really exhausting.
Reza N — Google review
The only place we could find in Tunis that has luggage storage. We only speak English and the men there helped us to store 2 bags for 6 days for 22TND. For other travellers taking TunisAir Express flights with a limit of 15kg, would recommend storing luggage here.
Gabi A — Google review
As a foreign female, I had no issues, as other reviews stated. The station was not busy at 10am, ticket was easy and quick to purchase. However, the train was over an hour late departing, it was very filthy, and rather slow.
Melissa T — Google review
Generally safe during the day but at night there are robberies and during the football matches plenty of fights. The station is close to everything; a supermarket, a mosque, the old city, Bourgeba St, etc. There is a usable bathroom and several shops within. Tickets are very cheap and an unlimited month pass is available. The Japanese built the suburban line to the southern neighborhoods and it's structurally the best train in Tunisia. True, it's late often but considering how often youth hold the doors open and people park cars along the train line, that's to be expected.
Adil W — Google review
I wish I could go back time and never use the train. Dirty, stinky and no fresh air while waiting for the train to go. I thought seats were disgusting until I went to WC. It's even worse than the train and station. Broken sink, trash everywhere and toilet itself makes you want to wait 2 hours to use a bathroom at home. Also, if you're not a Tunesian woman you'll cause some kind of enertainment for everyone in train - everyone will stare at you. Didn't feel safe.

Restaurant La Mamma

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant La Mamma offers a lunch special consisting of an appetizer, main course, and dessert for a reasonable price of 12.90TND. Despite the low expectations due to the price, customers are pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The salad is generously portioned with a variety of ingredients, while the grilled fish is cooked to perfection. The chocolate mousse stands out as an excellent choice for dessert.
La Mamma really won me over. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel at home. Super friendly, attentive, and just easy to be around. The Mediterranean dishes were packed with flavor, cooked just right, and had that honest, comforting feel you only get from a place that knows what it’s doing. And the wine? Spot on. Great selection, served with care and a real understanding of pairing. Nothing over the top, just done right. The vibe? Just perfect. The vintage decor gives the place a warm, lived-in charm, and there happened to be a local art exhibit while I was there, which made it even more lively and memorable. And I have to mention the guitar player that brought real heart to the place. It wasn’t just background music; it set the mood. La Mamma’s easily become my go-to spot in Tunis. I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I’m bringing friends.

A nice restaurant in the heart of Tunis. They offer full menu for 20dt and it's a great deal. I really enjoyed the food here, I tried their pasta and grilled fish and they definitely didn't disappoint. Followed by a salad fruit that it refreshing. The service here is also great. I find the employees to be polite and helpful which is very important. Looking forward to visiting this more often.

The first time we came here the waiter was lovely, and the place looks nice. The second time we came and sat on the second floor. The waiter came and was rude, when we asked for the drink menu (which we got last time) he repeatedly yelled THIS IS A RESTAURANT, and didnt respond when we asked what he meant. He refused to bring us a drink menu or serve us and told us no, shook his head at us, told us to leave. All out of nowhere. The rudest waiter Ive met here. We also asked him multiple times when he came over “what should we do? Do you want us to leave?” And he just shook his head and walked away. We asked for the bill for the one beer he served us and he refused to bring it. He had his jaw clenched and just walked away each time and left us there wondering what to do.

Had a set menu lunch special (1 app, 1 main and 1 dessert) for 12.90TND . Given the price my expectations weren't high, but received a very nice (and sizeable) salad with many ingredients, good grilled fish and an excellent chocolate mousse. Highly recommend.

Nice place it’s an institution for the last 50 years good fresh food affordable .Lunch 3 course meal for 20 dinars.
Mouldi M — Google review
It is difficult to describe the disappointment this Restaurant generated in me. The service was basically non existent, while ordering the food, the waiter just left in the middle of the sentence to welcome other guests. Then he forgot one plate completely and did not believe us that we ordered it, so my company had to wait long time for his plate. The food seemed to be frozen microwaved food and the cordon bleu I ordered was burnt. The only thing that somehow tasted like something was the gratin de fruits de mers but my partner has now stomach ache, so we are not sure about its freshness. To top everything the bill was wrong and higher with a plate we did not order, instead of correcting it the waiter told us to recalculate the bill by ourselves. I've been in some really bad restaurants in my life, but this one wins the prize for the worst restaurant I've ever been. Never again.

They have a menu which seems to be just a rough guideline of available dishes. All the dishes we liked were not available and eventually they showed us the fresh fish they actually have. That is fine, but - if always like that - maybe it makes sense to have a daily menu. Food was nice but service not too attentive. Anyway definitely a recommendation for sea food lovers.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Tunis's medina, Dar El Jeld is a stunning gem that combines history with culinary excellence. Housed in an elegant 18th-century home belonging to the Abdelkefi family, this refined hotel features beautifully designed suites and two exquisite restaurants. Guests can indulge in traditional Tunisian cuisine, including mouthwatering lamb and fish couscous, served amidst intricate wall carvings and vibrant tiles that reflect the rich culture of Tunisia.
We had lunch here after walking in the souk in a super hot day. There were plenty of tables available and live music going on. They were very polite and the food was super good (the best we’ve had on Tunisian food). The lamb tasted very delicious and tender, the fish dish that the waiter recommended was perfectly cooked. We also tried Tunisian white wine and it was very smooth. My only suggestion for them would be to add high chair support for kids although this is a high end restaurant, our toddler had to sit on our lap and was very difficult to eat with him.
Mahya H — Google review
I am profoundly perplexed by the high mark this restaurant receives. Apart from the amazing dining room in an old converted palace, everything else is decidedly ordinary. Yes they do welcome you on arrival and make you sit in the front lounge but do not have the finesse to offer you the menu to ponder over whilst waiting, let alone a small nibble to whet your appetite. Once you are sat at the table and given the menu, a miserable looking older man comes around to take your orders with not a sliver of a smile or acknowledgment. Shockingly, the menu is very limited and reminiscent of a fixed priced pre-theatre tourist menu hence you can forget indulging yourself in any kind of feasting. And if that failed to disappoint you, you can then rest assure that the food will taste no different from any other Tunisian restaurants charging half the price. This was our sixth Tunisian restaurant at this point. In fact my fish soup was so tasteless and so was the fish couscous, I had never been so happy to see a salt cruet. Even the wine list fails to include any non-Tunisian wines which is almost a crime for a supposedly upmarket restaurant. All in all, this is a very bog standard Tunisian restaurant that happened to be in a nice room. More hype than substance. You will not eat any better here just because they have pretty mosaics and lamps. Not recommended unless you really don’t know what to do with your money.

My 4th stay at Dar El Jeld — still the same rude security guard. This was my fourth stay at Dar El Jeld, and I’ve always loved it. The hotel perfectly combines Tunisian culture, tradition, and modern comfort. The rooms are elegant, the atmosphere refined, and the staff, especially the female team at the hammam and spa are warm, attentive, and professional. The rooftop restaurant is also excellent, and Fatma deserves a special mention for her constant smile, speed, and helpfulness. However, my stay was again overshadowed by one of the security guards at the entrance, whose behavior remains unacceptable. Despite being a guest, he repeatedly stopped me at the door, asking the same unnecessary questions in a cold, almost aggressive tone. He never returned my greetings, neither “hello” nor “goodbye,” and looked me up and down every time I passed, in a way that felt judgmental and intrusive. It made me, and even my husband, extremely uncomfortable. What’s disappointing is that several other guests have mentioned this same issue in previous reviews, yet it seems nothing has been done to address it. This guard’s attitude does not reflect the spirit, hospitality, or elegance of Dar El Jeld, and it’s a shame for such a wonderful establishment to allow this behavior to continue.
Hedia A — Google review
During a recent business trip to Tunisia, I was taken to dinner at the Dar El Geld restaurant in the Medina in Tunis. We were a large group seated in a separate room so comparisons with a private dining experience may be difficult. The restaurant itself has classical Tunisian architecture, with the front door and foyer offset from the restaurant so that one cannot look inside to the whole of the seating area. Dar el Geld has a number of dining rooms and areas, reached through corridoes and stairs, many of which have no handrails, so visitors should be careful. When we were seated, our table already had several salads, some cheese appetizers, etc. already on the table, all of which were quite appetizing. We had a choice of either fish or lamb, and I chose the latter. The servings were very generous, and they were followed by the classic Tunisian bowl of fruit for dessert. The service was excellent and many of the staff spoke English. If you’re looking for a classical Tunisian dining experience, this restaurant should not be missed.

Dar El Jeld is a must-visit in Tunis. The atmosphere is on another level — elegant, authentic, and full of character. The food is really good, with classic Tunisian dishes done beautifully, and the service is friendly and professional. Prices are fair for the quality and setting. It’s the kind of place that makes dinner feel like an experience rather than just a meal.

Amazing food, location, and vibes! It’s definitely very expensive by Tunisian standards, but if you can afford it, it’s worth paying the price. I found the food somewhat unique compared to other nice restaurants, and the live instrumental music was a nice surprise! Places like these are among the rarer places that offer alcohol, and I was pleased to try Tunisian wine which was very delicious!

NB: this is a review of the restaurant, the hotel listing is down the road. A nicely priced opportunity to enjoy the architecture and dishes of Tunisian fine dining. From the artful waiting rooms to the expansive dining area with verandah above, the building almost gets all of the attention. But dishes like the brick de boeuf - crispy pastry, lean meat, runny egg - take the attention back again. Take an evening to linger here. Posh restaurant: bril de loueuf with an excellent, light, crispy pastry. Tasty beef with a runny egg inside. Delicious.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the medina, El Ali Restaurant & Cafe offers a delightful escape from the lively streets of Tunis. With its stunning rooftop terrace that boasts breathtaking views of the Zitouna Mosque, this charming spot is perfect for savoring traditional Tunisian cuisine. The warm and welcoming staff serve refreshing citronnade and smoothies, making it an ideal place to unwind. Inside, you'll find a cozy atmosphere enhanced by comfortable sofas and a library where you can enjoy sweet mint tea at your leisure.
I visited this restaurant with a friend, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for lunch. The food was absolutely delightful; we opted for two traditional dishes. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. I highly recommend it!

I stopped for coffee and desert during a busy shopping day in the souk. The atmosphere in the cafe on the top floor is terrific. Would’ve given five stars except the service was sooooo slow (almost 40 mins to get water & coffee). But was still a lovely place to sit on the shady terrace with the smell of roses and a neat view.
Kim M — Google review
Well, it was average overall, especially when you try to think of the value of the food and service you're getting for your money. The waiter was nice and cooperative, but it took him so long to get my order and I don't blame him cuz the place seemed understaffed seeing the number of people they kept having on a Saturday. The food was okay, nothing special...

Absolutely delicious! Try their home-made lemonade, and let the manager guide you through their delicious menu!

Had a lovely breakfast today at this cute lil place the food was great and the atmosphere was immaculate the attention to detail is very appreciated here. The service although slow was nice and the staff were very accommodating and nice. Would definitely come back and try their lunch menu next time.

Excellent restaurant for Tunisian dishes. The tuna brik, lamb Tajine Maalma and Asida were all great

Good food, big portions, nice staff, but they are slow a bit…

Ultimately the best in La médina even before el Attarine and dar el Jeld and way above el Mrabet in terms of the 3s: service, food, and atmosphere. The table setting is well thought out and according to standards. The chef’s dishes are excellent and bring out the Tunisian flavours. All the staff is patient, organised, and polite. There is no discrimination or favorable treatment, everyone is welcome here.

Market
Souk El Attarine, also known as the Perfume Makers Souq, is a historic market dating back to the 13th century. It is renowned for its shops selling fragrant oils and waters. The central area features interesting shops while the outer edges are filled with stalls offering various goods. Visiting on a Sunday offers a calmer experience compared to other days, with less aggressive vendors and a cleaner environment.
A truly unique and amazing experience in the Souk of Tunis! This place have everything from: cafe's, shops, food stands, jewellery stores, hand made craftsmanship etc. This place is very busy, crowded and very alive! That's very unique and fun place to visit. To have a true experiences and feel authentic vibe of Tunis as a tourist. Highly recommending this place to visit! :)
Mantvydas Ū — Google review
The old souk of Tunis is where you can find very good products for souvenirs. Make sure not accept the first price they quote. Just walk away and price drops dramatically. The alleyways of the souk are cramped so you will be walking very slowly, especially during the morning time when it is very crowded.
Reza N — Google review
This is a must-visit traditional market (souq) in Tunis that has allies of stores and traditional restaurants/cafes. The place has several entrances and exits. The place can be quite crowded. As one walks, there are many old mosques and madrassas (schools) to visit. If you wish to buy anything, tourists are encouraged to bargain and inquire about the price from several stores. If you want to visit the souq and the surrounding mosques and madrassas, allocate a few hours.

Amazing Souk in Tunis. A place filled with shops, cafe’s, food stands. So much to see and do in this area. It is very crowded, but really fun to walk around and see all the shops and life going on in the big city. I really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend seeing this area.
Michael M — Google review
A crowded and touristy spot where you can find all sorts of handcrafted products and homemade food. Many items are original and genuinely handcrafted, though some lean toward the cheaper side. Definitely worth a visit. Beware of pickpockets and keep an eye on your bags.

I visited on Sunday, it was much calmer than usual. To my surprise, the vendors were less aggressive than in Medina of Sousse. And the place was a bit cleaner too!

Fun to walk around Enjoy a chapatti and have a chat with the locals

The central part of the souk had some interesting shops. The outer edges are filled with stalls selling knock-off Nikes. The traffic around that area on a Saturday was insane. We found street parking south of the souk (a 20 minute walk)

Amazing spot in the heart of the Medina. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Super yummy! Our waitress was Emna, who took such good care of us. The space was clean and the food was super delicious. Total gem in tunis

Visit: 03/01/25 1 person, for lunch. PROS: - Very nice place! - good and fast service - it comes A LOT of food. It can be easily shared buy 2 people. Even 3 people if you ask for the full menu (starter + main + dessert) - considering the amount of food, the price is really fair CONS: - the food is good, but not great. I was expecting more. It was not very tasteful as I wish General: this is as very nice place, just in the middle of the Medina and a few steps from the mosque. It’s like an Oasis on the middle of the crowed Medina. The ambiance is calm, elegant and very silent. There are also few booths with local artesian pieces. It’s a good place to rest and breath, but do not expect the best food on earth. It’s just normal.

This place is a true hidden gem in the Medina of Tunis. Set in a beautifully restored caravanserai, it combines history, charm, and refined Tunisian cuisine. The dishes are authentic yet elegant — especially the couscous and fish— and the atmosphere is serene, with traditional décor and soft Andalusian music. A perfect spot for an unforgettable local dining experience. The waiters are too nice.
Koel G — Google review
Its a nice and renovated place. It has alot of light because of the roof, tough they added a glass roofing to stay dry even when it rains. Its a nice but busy place to go for eating as it is a bit famous. Would still recommend going there and taking the daily menu for a good deal.

First things first, BEST BREAD I've ever had, like wow we need the recipe. Now that we got that out of the way, the main dishes that we got were the fish with couscous and the Tunisian traditional dish kybkabou. Those were average, but still good. The restaurant is located inside the Medina and it's like you're stepping into another world once you enter. It's a very well lit garden, very nicely decorated. Of course it's touristic, but it's a great choice for clean lunch while exploring the Mdina. Prices are on the pricier side for Tunisian standards, as the main dish is around 13€ but it's okay. Card payment is also possible. Alcohol isn't served here.
Christina S — Google review
The place itself is wonderfully beautiful. The menu for Romdhan is really good, expectedly pricey tho. The soupes were both good, brik well done, desert and tea were good, the main plate was also good except for the rice with calamar. I would just say it’s missing spice overall. All in all, a good experience.

We had very good lunch there. I took a three courses menu. Portions were big. Food was delicious.
Olga — Google review
Took my mom for a cozy authentic lunch for 2.... or thats what I thought 😶 Service : veryyyyyy slow (cant even start to emphasis on that) ... took us at least 20 to 30 minutes to get our entrée... then another 20 for the main courses... waiter was rude to us : left us to the menu thought it needed some explanation (the menu wasn't clear, no available mebu cards on the table, only chalkboard that is taken from one table to another) ... when we called for help he didnt offer much ... Also DISCRIMINATING locals and tourists (we are paying the same... not getting the same service ...) Food: Endorsed as authentic Tunisian food, Im afraid that what we had lack in taste and presentation to raise to the original Tunisian traditional food ... the couscous with fish (كسكسي بالحوت) we had taste like its made for the vegetarian version (كسكسي بالخضرة) with a side slice of fish ... thought as Tunisians we all know that it has a singular taste that's so different from the later ... We also had another plate with beef (3 small pieces of meat) and 3 stuffed olives ... the chef's salade is not well presented (pieces of fruit and lettuce everywhere, didnt taste that good .... a veryyyyyy ordinary brika (one that should cost less than 5 dinars) ... the zgougou creme was very sugary and watery ... the topping tastes very awful... Veryyyyyy overpriced +++++++ You literally can have better for quarter the price 😐 The atmosphere: at first the music was a bit loud ... the decor and the place were amazing, beautiful and eye-catching... the only positive thing about the experience... Wholeheartedly, I do not recommend

Tucked away in the vibrant Medina, Dar Slah is a charming restaurant that invites you to savor authentic Tunisian cuisine amidst minimalist decor. This delightful eatery serves up classic dishes accompanied by an array of appetizers like mechouia—a zesty salad featuring grilled vegetables—and chorba, a flavorful spiced meat soup. The daily changing mains often highlight traditional couscous paired with succulent fish or lamb.
A must-visit!! As a Tunisian, I found myself obsessed with their food, the quality and taste were incredible! Also, the atmosphere was amazing. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you’ll feel the family vibes, as it is owned by a family, and they are all there to welcome and serve you. I felt as if I had gone back home for lunch! I recommend it to everyone who wants to try traditional Tunisian food in a cozy place.

We had such an amazing lunch here at Dar Slah - full of authentic Tunisian flavors and dishes! The brother and sister pair who run the restaurant were so friendly and welcoming! Truly must visit if you’re in the medina! Best food we’ve had on our trip so far!
Laura W — Google review
I was looking for a restaurant that serves true traditional Tunisian food—something that would bring back memories of my childhood here. Dar Slah gave my mother and me exactly that. The food was “zemni”—homemade, authentic, and prepared with remarkable expertise and care. Every dish was exceptionally delicious. But the experience went far beyond the food. The service was excellent—the staff were warm, polite, and took the time to explain everything with genuine attention. The calm traditional music in the background added to the atmosphere, making it all the more enjoyable. Dar Slah is a hidden gem in the Medina, just steps away from the Zitouna Mosque. It feels like a place where tradition lives on. I don’t usually recommend restaurants, but this one I 100% do. If you come to Tunis, you cannot miss it.

Very disappointing. If you plan to visit for the first time, have no expectations. The mall is very small with few shops. Prices are expensive, and what it seemed to be a food court is like a ghost house with one food place. The building is not connected to the other mall.

Amazing arts centre. Exhibitions and concerts are organised here very often. The place is big (3 floors with a big rooftop). The place is in the middle of nowhere, which makes it more interesting, so transportation should be by car or taxi.
Jaime F — Google review
Beautiful building, but a bit inaccessible to the local population. The staff, although nice, didn’t seem particularly knowledgeable about the foundation nor the exhibitions.
M M — Google review
Wonderful space for art exhibitions, with very good lighting and quite large ceiling height. That has made my visit experience awesome. There is a small dark room for watching videos as part of the exhibition. It would have been great if that room had additional seats for visitors, as I had to watch part of a short movie standing since there are no free seats available. Other suggestion is to add fans even in the main exhibition space as it was quite hot during my afternoon visit. Keep up with good work !

We have been to many theme parks from the 1st to the 3rd world with our now 9 year old. We took public transportation and walked in, so parking was not an issue for us. However, except for two of the larger rides not working, it was quite a nice experience. There was plenty to do over about 3 to 4 hours. Some of the animal cages were rather sad, but our son enjoyed it very much. I recommend taking a picture of the ride ‘menu’ for your chosen wristband to avoid disappointment. You can buy individual rides at any of the ticket booth if you just want to accompany your child on a few. Many complaints about having to pay more are a result of not paying attention when buying a wristband.

La Goulette, the port suburb of the capital, has held significant strategic importance for ages due to its control over the harbor entrance. It is advisable to depart early to avoid waiting in a queue and feeling stressed about potential tardiness for the cruise ship. On arrival, it is recommended to stay patient and steer clear of aggressive individuals attempting to sell services or products at high prices. Tunisia promises an enjoyable experience!

Don’t go by ferry to Tunis! We were not allowed to enter the country, even though we had all the necessary documents, i.e. the passport. I did not need a visa, and other people of other nationalities were in the same situation. (Germany and Lithuania). We were detained like animals for almost 5 hours in the port of Tunis, without access to wifi or roaming, we could not contact the Romanian embassy, and after the 5 hours we were forcibly boarded to another random ferry going to Italy, but to another destination. The Tunisian border police are very corrupt, aggressive and lack technology. They did not give us any reason why we could not enter the country. They claimed that we don't have the bill for the accommodation, and when I showed it to them, they didn't even want to look at it, or talk to the owner of the accommodation, to confirm that everything is fine. A traumatic and exhausting experience, in which we lost money and especially fatigue and time, wanting to visit their country, but we were not allowed.

We got shipped back to Italy again. I’m a moto traveler btw, the customs want us to have a hotel confirmation and a return ticket. A Airbnb accommodation is not valid. The Grimaldi Line don’t even inform that I need a return ticket to enter the country. GNV inform you about that. The customs are not even helpful and lies in your face without any hesitation. They want some bribes for sure. The worst thing about that, they told us they want to help us but we have to go back to our ship to print our Airbnb invoices. We bought the lie and followed a guy straight into the ship. We parked our motorcycles at the same place like before and at that point it smells fishy. Grimaldi took our Passports hostage I’m now still in the ship and doesn’t get my passport. Ofc we are also stupid to not inform us well about the customs, but also this country relies on tourists and a good reputation after all these things happen in the country. They could help us to get a solution but just send us back again to Palermo. It’s a short term thinking from them. Unfortunately.

The Currency Museum is a suitable destination for those interested in coin collecting and the tracing of history. It offers a fascinating journey through time, with coins dating back to 400 BC from various eras such as the Roman and Islamic periods up to the modern era. The museum documents these stages by showcasing the found coins, providing valuable insights into currency history and African heritage. Visitors can enjoy a complimentary tour conducted by a courteous and knowledgeable guide.
For those interested in coin collecting and tracing history... This place is suitable for you. It is a wonderful place that documents these stages through the coins that were found over the years.

The only place to see Tunisian Gold Dinars mainly from Bourguiba presidency period. The museum is quite small and not very busy. It’s also the place to buy 5D Silver pieces with official box and paper. Could be better entertained especially the first floor with international currencies… Watch out for opening hours the museum might be closed some days during the week, I was surprised few times by closed doors.

A Hidden Gem, but Not Very Welcoming. This museum has the potential to be a hidden gem, for more than many decades I never knew about it. You could easily spend hours exploring and learning about stamps, currency, and old money. It's free to enter, well air-conditioned, and even has clean, free restrooms. However, the experience was dampened by a serious lack of lighting. I visited on a Sunday, and from the outside, it looked completely closed. Even once inside, I felt unwelcome. The person there didn’t even bother to turn the lights on, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the exhibits. It’s a shame, because with better lighting and a more inviting atmosphere, this place could be truly great. If the bank has serious financial problem to pay for light, then add an admission fee.

This museum has the potential to turn into a very good museum but it seems it lacks in proper management. The entrance is free and on the lower ground yoy can see a collection of Tunisian bills and coins. The upper floor is dark, in spite of being able to visit it. You have to use your phones light here
Reza N — Google review
So it's a really nice small museum, it has coins from every civilization that tunisia gone through wish is pretty cool but like the other comments said, that damn light, you literally can't see shit in the second floor, and it doesn't seem to be a budget problem cause the museum itself looks really neat, it just seems to be that whoever responsible for managing it simply don't care, also yes it's free you simply walk in

Free entrance, friendly personnel, and a great numismatic collection from Numidian/Carthaginian times to today. With collections for other north African countries too. The place is air conditioned and has magnifying glasses for seeing the collection. Some sculptures are also presented. The only minus is that the place is a bit dark. Not many lights and no outside sunlight

One of the specialised museums in the country.. It showcases the currency history of the country from phoenicians to post revolution.. You'll find foreign bills also and a collection of currency focused books! I suppose that a good visid will take at least 1 hour :) I don't appreciate the darkness and lack of light.. And in summer, be aware of the extreme cold inside the museum (you'll be literally freezed 🥶🥶) !! Enjoy ^_^

La Médina Antique De Tunis, which means "old town" in Arabic, is a historic gem in Tunisia. This UNESCO World Heritage site dates back to the 7th century and showcases a blend of architectural styles from Andalous and Arabic to Roman and Byzantine due to its past as a bustling Mediterranean trade hub. Pretty intense place but cool to walk around. Just be on the lookout for locals trying to take advantage of you. We had a guy follow us claiming he works in a hotel and that it was his day off and he wanted to practice his English with us (despite his English already being pretty good). He proceeded to take us to various shops trying to flog us overpriced junk. Shopkeepers can be a bit forceful and aggressive to get you in their shops. They can also get a bit cranky if you don’t buy anything.

La Médina Antique De Tunis is a captivating journey into history with its well-preserved architecture and bustling markets. The maze-like streets, historic mosques, and vibrant atmosphere offer a unique experience. While it can be overwhelming, it's a must-visit for those seeking a taste of Tunisia's rich heritage and culture.
Nihad R — Google review
Must-visit tourist attraction while in Tunis. It's a beautiful, well-preserved old town featuring tons of narrow, winding alleyways and both traditional and modern shops.
Sean M — Google review
Spectacular. A mixture of beauty, colors, aromas with agglomeration, dirt and heavy smells.
Paul C — Google review
It’s a great place for shopping and getting traditional handmade products at reasonable prices, but be prepared for how hot and crowded it gets. The old narrow alleys make the crowd walk body rubbing against body in certain spots. So, if you have a phobia of crowded places, avoid going there.
Lona M — Google review
Interesting place to explore, and eventually get told about some special rooftop access and view you're lucky to see as someone guides you to get pitched carpet at a rug store

Restaurant
Dar Belhadj is an elegant restaurant situated in the heart of the Medina of Tunis, between the El Attarine and El Balgagia souks. It offers a typical Tunisian setting with a view of the Great Mosque Ezzitouna. The establishment is highly regarded by locals and visitors alike for its traditional Tunisian cuisine.
There is no strong reason not to give this place a 5 stars. it's just a full immersion into the history of the Medina through a very beautiful vintage house with stunning decoration and through a wide variety of Tunisian traditional food. The quantity of the food is more than enough for most of the people. Make sure to have an empty stomach before. It was possible to just go there without any reservation. The daily menu (entrance, main dish and desert, drinks excluded) costs 60 dinars (20€)
Zied B — Google review
Food is extremely average for the price, and I was tricked into having a non alcoholic beer, which was sold to me as local... the blind gentleman playing music in the corner was by far the (and possibly only) highlight of the evening.

What should I say. If you want an super authentic experience of Tunisian food and living experience.. You should come here. An amazing place, the food is so delicious, the service is excellent. And the structure it self it's a piece of Art
Tarek C — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, the authentic tunisian ambiance set the tone for an enjoyable meal. The decor with the 17th century tunisian prints, with warm touches that make you feel right at the Beys era. Food: 4.5/5 The menu offers a tiny selection of dishes, and I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail in every plate. I ordered cooked lamb meat with vegetables, and it was cooked to perfection, melting tenderness. The flavors were fresh, and the portions were generous. My companion had the traditional fish (local Grouper fish) couscous , which was rich, full of fresh fish flavor. The couscous dish was accompanied by well-paired sauce (not hot) that enhanced the overall taste without overwhelming it. Service: 4.5/5 The staff was attentive and courteous throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The team was friendly and professional, and gave us a tour in the place so we can take pictures. Ambiance: 5/5 The lighting and tunisian traditional old music created a relaxed, upscale vibe, making it a great spot for a date night or a gathering with friends. I especially loved the large windows that brought in natural light during the day and created a cozy atmosphere in the evening. We learned from the waiter that starting from 9pm (local hour) there is tours every hour in the medina with the restaurant transport, and also they have artists that play music (I think basically the Qanûn instrument) Value: 4/5 While on the pricier side, the quality of the food, ambiance, and service make it worth the splurge. It's not a place for a quick bite, but if you're looking for an experience to indulge into tunisian culture. Overall, the place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with excellent food and a chic atmosphere. I will definitely be returning

Such a wonderful restaurant! The food, especially the lamb couscous, was extremely delicious and well made, it’s clear the chefs put a lot of effort and skill into making it. The seafood was also excellent and the free bread on the side was also very tasty and filling. The staff are extremely professional and friendly, and they have a good English understanding which is greatly appreciated! I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone in the area if you want to eat real Tunisian food and have an amazing experience. We went during the night and walked through the empty medina area to get to the restaurant, very quiet and nice experience walking down the empty streets.

Restaurant Ojja Chouchou

Restaurant
Restaurant Ojja Chouchou is a popular dining spot located in downtown Tunis, offering a delightful and fairly priced experience. Despite the bustling crowds, the friendly service and delicious Ojja make it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The quality-to-price ratio is highly appreciated by patrons, making it one of the best places to enjoy this traditional dish in Tunis. With its convenient location near the city center, visitors can savor the yummy and affordable cuisine while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Very authentic and delicious dishes for very cheap price. Our airbnb is located nearby so we dined here a couple of times. They served very good ojja. Serving is very generous as well. Gets busy at times, we usually got there by 6pm so we can get a table. It's a spot for the locals so you know food is good and great value for money. Definitely recommended!

Don't expect western style service, this place serves the local community with unpretentious, hearty food. Last night I had the justifiably famous Magreb dish Ojja Merguez and I went back this evening for Pasta with Fruits de Mer. Huge portions and not expensive. No signs other than Arabic but French is spoken here if you ask.

Anouk K — Google review
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Ojja Chouchou and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. The menu offers an excellent variety of dishes, with allergens clearly indicated — a detail we greatly appreciated given the dietary considerations within our party. The staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, ensuring that we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Having previously visited Ojja Chouchou while living in Tunis, it was especially pleasing to find that the quality remains just as exceptional as before. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, making it an ideal setting for both a leisurely lunch or an enjoyable evening meal. Most importantly, the food itself was truly delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a comfortable place to unwind while enjoying excellent cuisine and outstanding service.

For anyone who is thinking of visiting this place, be Aware of filth!!! I went there for a night dinner and I was shocked by how filthy and dirty the place is. The ceiling and floors are oily and literally black!! The stove area was super greasy and definitely hasn't been cleaned for a while. The workers wearing stained and dirty clothes. Smells of eggs everywere 'zefra' I don't know how people are eating there. I immediately left and never looked back! Beware!!! 0 review.

Frédéric Cassel, a renowned pastry chef hailing from France, has expanded his culinary expertise to Tunis with the opening of a restaurant lounge in Lac 2. Notable for their exceptional service and friendly staff, this establishment prides itself on fast service and attentiveness to customer preferences. The brunch menu offers a special formula that caters to various tastes, while their macaron Raspberry stands out for its delightful texture and mouthwatering flavor profile.
Great place , amazing atmosphere, nice welcoming staff, service is fast, recommended
Adnan B — Google review
We were a group of seven inviting our mums to celebrate mothers day. We were genuinely excited to offer our mums what we assumed would be a refined and memorable breakfast at Frédéric Cassel, all while taking in the beautiful view of Tunis Lake on their lovely terrace. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be deeply disappointing if not bordering on a scam, considering the prestige attached to the brand. We ordered five different breakfast items. Out of everything we had, only the espresso macchiato, the omelette, and the sohleb (a Tunsian speciality made from sorgho) were decent. The rest fell far below expectations. The viennoiserie basket, which included croissants and chocolate moelleux viennois, was especially underwhelming. The butter used seemed of poor quality, giving the pastries an odd, overpowering flavor, rancid and musty, lacking both freshness and finesse. The overall result was frankly unappealing. The strawberry macarons were no better: inconsistent shells, a cream that lacked finesse, and a dull, synthetic flavor. Even the olive oil, which should have been a standout ingredient, was borderline inedible, a real shame in a country known for its exceptional terroir. Even the tables next to ours left their cheesecakes unfinished. It’s a pity that the ingredients are not selected in line with the chef’s international reputation. The management of this location does a disservice not only to French haute pâtisserie, but also to Tunisia’s rich flavorful premium ingredients. Unless you’re going strictly for the stunning view of the mountains over the lake, we cannot recommend this place. About 80% of what we ordered drinks, pastries, and baked goods was either mediocre or outright disappointing.
Molka F — Google review
I ordered pancake which was good by the way, but small as it should be comparing to other places I went to. The quality/ price does not fit well in this case. Hope this will change soon as this is a good restaurant and I always enjoy visiting it. Actually, it is always my first choice when going to LAC2 because of the service, atmosphere and the quality of people
Nedia B — Google review
Very dirty, low quality service, old space and cakes that are cheap. Not sure how this place has a French name
Anthony R — Google review
Poor classic burger. The meat doesn’t have any taste and the bread is not fresh and it seems that it has been exposed to air for long time. They used a frozen Fries and it is tasteless.
Majed A — Google review
The food and service here are far superior to other places in the area, especially compared to 716! I definitely recommend trying this restaurant over 717—you won’t be disappointed.
Hisham R — Google review
I went there plenty of times with friends either in small or big groups. The positive part is the view and decoration. The atmosphere is very welcoming. However the quality of the food is not good. I previously got breakfast, crepes, and coffee. Unfortunately the quality was mediocre. The staff members were welcoming and polite but were a bit defensive when exposed to feedback. Overall it's a good place to be but depends on what you are getting to eat and how big is the group for waiting time.
Sarah K — Google review
What happened to this place? Just two years ago, this was one of my favorite spots, and the food was amazing. We came for brunch recently, and it was a shock. The quality has dropped significantly, the portions are tiny, and they're charging a fortune for it. It's a real shame to see a good restaurant go downhill so fast.
