Theme Parks
Amusement park with an ancient Carthage theme featuring various rides & shows & an aqua playground.
By booking online you can save a few dinars. Carthage Land Hammamet is by far the best theme park in Tunesia. Elaborate theming, decent attractions, friendly staff. It's good to see a theme park of this level in Northern Africa 🙏
MrNozem77 — Google review
The place was extremely crowded during my visit, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. While it’s clear that it's a popular destination, the sheer number of people made it difficult to move around comfortably or fully appreciate the atmosphere. Wait times were long, personal space was limited, and it was a bit overwhelming at times.
Rim M — Google review
Really well worth a visit and see history from hundreds of years ago would recommend this place 0
William B — Google review
It's a little bit disappointing, some games are not working and the park closes at 21h45 , it's too early , the king kong game it ends before it even start, it's sooo short
Abd K — Google review
so much fun and I'm not even a tourist i loved the Halloween theme but sadly i almost fainted in that ship good god! , yet i recommend :)
Ahmed N — Google review
It's a nice place for kids rides and a few adults too, nice place for photos, food and drinks. Many of the rides closed due to the off season.
Manisankar K — Google review
We visited during off season, meaning the waterpark was closed, we also visited with our toddler who was too young to use any of the rides, but we still had a fantastic time! For a family or group of friends there is a lot to do here and the cost is very low for what you get! With a few rides and attractions including a small zoo. If you are on holiday in the area, it is worth visiting. If you're on holiday from a country which uses toilet paper, be aware the public toilets in Carthage Land do not have toilet paper
Davy — Google review
Definitely worth the visit.

Great shop with a good variety. We visited a few times whilst in Tunisia. Fixed prices, staff are welcoming but leave you alone to shop on your terms.
Rachel G — Google review
A Solid Choice for Tourists This local superstore is a decent option for tourists. Prices are fair, making it budget-friendly, and it's stocked with a variety of essentials. While it may not offer anything extraordinary, it serves its purpose well for travelers looking for affordable options. #Costamall
Nihad R — Google review
The shop is Really big for the area and has a good selection of products there. The had a bakery there with a memebr of staff workingn it, but there was no bread or croissants, or anything baked! Bit odd that you needed to leave your bag at the front of the store in a basket but wasn't really an issue. Main issues were the staff as each of them I spoke to I found to be a bit unfriendly and almost like what I was asking from them was a chore.
Russ — Google review
Nice Mall Modern, but escaltor wasn't working when we went, clothing is expensive, the gift stuff downstairs was decent pricing

Ancient Ruins
Ancient Roman archaeological site featuring necropolis remains, along with standing columns & homes.
Pupput looks like any other barren field in Tunisia sandwiched between two hotels, it was discovered during an hotel building project and I imagine there are more ruins under the hotels on both sides. It was once a prestigious staging post on the Roman road from Carthage to Hadrumètum (Sousse). The ruins aren't extensive (I am sure there is lots more waiting to be uncovered), signage is minimal and the site is wholly unloved; however, you can see some decent examples of quotidian mosaic work. The mosaics are quite badly damaged due to visitors walking over them, we tried to keep away from them as we didn't want to be a part of the destruction of what could be, with a little care a great visitor attraction. 5 dinar entrance fee when we visited.
Kev P — Google review
Very quiet place, nice to get away from the bazar. Ruins of the baths, mosaics well worth the visit
Csilla K — Google review
Some really historical mosaics, in need of preservation. Attempts have been made to reinforce them at some point, using steels which have since started to rust causing the mosaic to pop and crumble, see them before they turn to dust or irreparable damage. However on the plus😆The coffee ☕️ shop outside is wonderful and the owner is really nice. The espresso is top notch.
Simon P — Google review
Amazing little place where you can see ancient mosaics. It can be done in half an hour or less. Tunisia tourism board should pay more attention to this place to preserve it for many more years to come. A few free parking spaces at the front are available. No crowds, so no queues!
C M — Google review
Worth a price for sure it is not huge ruins but was great to see mosaics and every peace that's available to touch

Club Equus Hammamet offers an amazing horse riding experience with beautiful and well-cared-for horses. The professional and friendly instructor, Sammy, ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for riders of all levels. Whether you're a beginner or experienced rider, the club provides tailored training and experiences. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the guide not only teaches riding but also shares insights about Tunisia and its language. It's a unique and highly recommended experience for families or individuals looking to explore Tunisia on horseback.
AMAZING HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Booked directly though instagram was even picked up from my hotel and dropped back The horses are all beautiful and well looked after, Sami was great was my first time riding he kept making sure I was comfortable and okay and went at my pace which I liked. Will definitely be booking again before I go home!! value for money

Best experience riding the horse on the beach!! Sammi was the best instructor!! He allowed me to trot, took sooo many pictures of us and was so nice we love him!!I hope to visit again.

I had such a pleasant experience with Sami and the beach ride. Riding on the beach is a whole new dimension, and I enjoyed every second of it. If someone loves to ride horses, this is definitely the club I would recommend! Greetings from Serbia."

We had a fantastic experience with this horse riding company! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and in good hands. A special shoutout to Sami—he was incredibly friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made sure we felt totally comfortable, especially as beginners. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable ride!

An absolutely wonderful experience for our first time in Tunisia! We are beginner riders and the guides were wonderful people and pleased to provide any information about Tunisia and horse riding☺️. The horses were wonderful and calm too so perfect for beginners!
LizX O — Google review
Had a fantastic experience today with my partner riding the horses on the beach during the evening. Arranged it through Instagram after reading a review that someone else had done similar. Got a relative quick response which is amazing customer service and after confirming costs and them arranging transfers at a reasonable additional agreed cost. We attended the place a few days later and from arrival to leaving it was a pleasant experience and as a beginner on horses the staff were helpful and the horses were great. Staff offered to take pictures and videos of the experience throughout various points of the trip at no additional cost and even sent the pictures across via WhatsApp later the same evening. Overall would recommend to anyone who wants to experience riding a horse in a controlled and safe environment where the staff clearly know what they're doing and happy to assist where needed.
Stephen W — Google review
We loved the experience here! Sami, the guide, is a great guide, who’ll teach you how to ride but will also tell you a lot about Tunisia and Tunisian language. The atmosphere is really welcoming, the horses are lovely and very well trained. One of the best experiences in Tunisia for us! Totally recommend. We’ll come again!
Aleksandra G — Google review
Simply amazing, beautiful horses that are well looked after. Sami has a true passion and it shows, couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my mixed ability family. Trots on the beach at sunset for my inexperienced wife and son, and full on canters and gallops for my experienced daughter. Amazing value for money for a truly unique experience.

Kitchenette is a modern restaurant with attentive staff and a reasonably priced menu. They offer a great selection of starters, chicken, meat, fish, handmade burgers and chips. Additionally, they have a breakfast menu and kids menu available. The restaurant provides both inside and outside seating as well as light entertainment. It's highly recommended for those looking for first-class cuisine and service with a variety of meat and fish dishes that come with an interesting twist!
This place was phenomenal! We were in Hammamet on a 10 day vacation and came here EVERY day for lunch, thats how much we loved it!! The restaurant is very modern, very clean and has tables indoors, but also has an outdoor patio. The service - fantastic!! Our waiter/server was AMAZING and very friendly, we loved him. Food portions were huge and the food always tasted perfect. We tried many dishes from the menu and all were great! We usually waited around 10 minutes for food, which is very short in my opinion. I really recommend this place and would definitely come back!!
Irina R — Google review
The restaurant is located in the heart of Yesmine Hammamet. Although the prices are a bit up but the food is just amazing. The service is fast, the food menu has a lot of choices, and the Indian and Asian flavours are available. Noodles, carry, soy sauce, etc... I would definitely say the prices are worth it and the food tastes very good. The personnel are very friendly and will answer all your requests. Toilets are clean, a nice place for families, couples, and groups. It has a terrace with great view
Yousri D — Google review
The food was terrible. While the staff were lovely, we had to wait an extremely long time for our food, which was very disappointing given the high prices compared to other local restaurants. I asked for my steak medium well, but as you can see in the attached pictures, the cow was still breathing. During our visit there was only one other group at the restaurant so I can only imagine how long food will take when it’s just in peak season.

Cozy and warm atmosphere The food was really good with reasonable price The staff were ok

The almond tea was so cold, just like tap water temperature. Avoid this unnecessarily pricy place. Don’t pay 21 TDN for a basic mojito. The staff are extremely nice, but not the manager.
Mehmet S — Google review
To avoid at all cost! Very bad restaurant in all aspects. Wait for food was very long while the restaurent was not busy. Food came either overcooked or undercooked! Service was extremely bad. We were served 3 times platters we did not order. This restaurant should be closed or everyone should be replaced!!! Their cart is huge and sounded delicious...at the end we were only served deception dished!!!

Restaurant Caicco Romano offers a great selection of food and alcohol at reasonable prices. It's an ideal choice for those seeking a restaurant with a bar in the area. The setting is perfect for a quiet, upscale dinner, although it may not offer scenic views as it's located near a theme park. Visitors have praised the beautiful presentation and taste of their out-of-the-ordinary dishes like lobster, along with the helpful and friendly staff.
The best brick I've ever had. Food feel fresh, we could fish and lobster being wheeled in, literally. Didn't know much about Tunisian food. I will now stop eating at the hotel.
Souleymane C — Google review
What can i say, very very expensive for below average food, the steaks were all bland no taste at all, the food took long time to arrive, not one of us in the entire group enjoyed the food, ordered prawns too but they never came, the staff do everything they can to get you to come inside the restuarant, if they put that effort into making the food nice then this place could be amazing. Avoid this restuarant as you will leave dissapointed and still hungry afterwards, everything very overpriced here too.
Wadz H — Google review
Poor experience yesterday afternoon. Waiters where friendly, however hidden agenda in wanted increased tipping culture, we arrived as a large group and the food was mediocre, was not worth the money at all, the mixed grill had no meat on it and was more expensive then the UK! The atmosphere was average, stray cats everywhere wanting feeding, flies all over the table and food, waiter said "welcome to Tunisia". Then upon paying the bill, they attempted to add additional bits on such as drinks and sundries which where not consumed on table, then had the cheek to say "what, so only small tip?" Its attitude like this where its expected that returns only small tips, I understand Tunisia has a tipping culture, but please dont hold your hand out and beg for tips. Overall, we all agreed we would not return due to the hidden billing agenda and small portions.
H S — Google review
Great food and ALCOHOL selection/price. If your looking for a restaurant in the area that has a bar, this is a great option. The setting is very nice for a quiet dinner with more upscale pricing. Be reluctant if you are looking for a restaurant with views. Though the restaurant is very nice, it is located somewhat near/within a theme park so it may not be what your looking for if you want a beach view but if your not then this is a great selection and close to the tourist area. Also they offer menus exclusively in English/French/Russian.
Rachael B — Google review
I couldn't leave Hammamet without writing a review for that restaurant. We ordered a sea food platter and I'm not joking it has been one of the best one I have ever had , lot of variety and everything was very fresh. The service provided by our waitress was outstanding they really take care of everything if you're looking for great sea food this place worth a visit
Maria M — Google review
We came from a visit to Oudna archeologic site and we were too hungry. l checked the restaurant review online before I book a table Food: the squid was tiny , frozen and it was tasteless. For "filet de Loup Safrané" I had to search for the Tiny filet which doesn't exceed 100g at most for 38Dt. We liked the Crevettes sautées à l'ail. Wine: we liked the white Chardonay. Well, we were hungry and we left the restaurant Hungry. Clean! The toilet was astonishingly stinking. It was dark as the light doesn't switch on and it was not flushed for days I guess. Noisy: a too noisy 120 Decibels attraction next door. The waiter was praising it when we asked to change the table. I forgot to say that the waiter smokes in front of the restaurant.(which is the norm in most Tunisian restaurants) Sorry to say that, but all reviews I read before visiting to the restaurant made me choose it. But, and for sure, I would never write a single arbitrary critics to hurt the business. The owner should reviews the core restaurant business and make changes.

Restaurant l'opéra is a local gem located just a short walk from Le Orangers Hotel. While smoking is allowed inside, the friendly staff are accommodating and attentive to guests' needs. The restaurant offers a variety of menus including tapas and main dishes, as well as an extensive drinks list featuring both local and European beers at similar prices. After 11pm, it transforms into a lively disco with live music by a DJ, making it an excellent spot for food and entertainment.
Visited yesterday for quick drink nice atmosphere witnessed band getting ready for live music performance. Checked the menu what I can say it's more adapted to the tunisian taste. Waiting for the new menu coming soon to see if the Chef's will present some thing "out of the box "📦 ... Next visit I will tell you what I think about the food for sure. worst bar i've ever been to. You have to wait for 30 minutes for a simple beer. The waiters are impolite and the owner treats you like he's the client. The DJ played random music. 0 Competence. Day 2

Proximity is everything
For day 2, we bundled attractions like Friguia Zoo Park and Dar Sebastien - International Cultural Center of Hammamet and other places within a close range, so that the time it takes to travel between all of them is less than one hour. Combined with the average time people spend there, your day should take about 8 hours.

Small zoo featuring tigers, crocodiles & other species, plus a sea lion show & camel rides.
Lovely zoo and the animals look well fed. The enclosures are spacious. We spent about 2 hours walking around. My kids enjoyed the African dance show and the camel ride. There were no Giraffes, elephants nor seals but we still had a great time. The entrance price is very reasonable and plenty of parking available.
Mihoub W — Google review
Decent zoo. Staff are very nice and will tell you what times which animals will be fed. Currently no giraffes, elephants, or kangaroos. Animals seem well cared for. There’s toilets and refreshments scattered throughout. A couple of restaurants. And a very reasonably priced gift shop - fixed prices but you wouldn’t need to haggle anyway.
S B — Google review
It was a very hot day, and we did not expect to see many animals around, but surprisingly it end up being a great day out! Highly recommended 👌
Alexandra M — Google review
I visited in August 2025. Buying tickets at the zoo was cheaper than purchasing them online. Unfortunately, there were no elephants, giraffes, or seals during my visit. The place could benefit from better maintenance and care.
Wassim R — Google review
There were lot's of exotic animals but some were not there like the elephants the giraffes and crocodiles the sea-lion was not there I don't know if it is because he only comes for shows or something because there was a show place there
Harou Y — Google review
Some animals like the giraffes and sea lions missing, which negates the impact somewhat. A good collection of lions and tigers. The Zulu show is a bit of fun.
John H — Google review
The zoo was very good lots of great rare animals and food+drink easily available for cheap. They fed the tigers and lions infront of us and it was a great watch definitely recommend that. The Friguia zoo also included seal entertainment which we sadly didn't see as it wasn't on at the time but im sure it wouldnt have been spectacular. The camels are ridable which gives a great experience for all ages. You could hand feed the deer also from a very kind man who gave you free deer food and leaves to give to them which was my favourite part. The zulu dancing was a must do. There was a great display of dancing, singing and musical instruments which was amazing. The staff performance were very interactive with the audience. The food was mostly okay but the chicken and rice as the main was delicious. At the end of the performance the Dancers encouraged everyone to get up stage and dance with them and everybody did. Was a great experience, would definitely recommend.

Amongst the highlights of our 10 days stay in Tunesia. When entering, our first impressions weren't very positive: the guy at the parking took 2 Dinars from us. Entrance fee itself is fair. And they accept credit card/Google pay. Next thing we saw: the pool for the seals is empty; no seal show at the moment. Then you pass through two shops, where, you guessed it, they all start taking and selling stuff to you. Once you passed these "areas of disappointment", the actual zoo is quite nice. The "predators" area is well designed with many interesting animals and you get close to them. The restaurant inside the zoo is not a "bargain", but it is good, though. We had a good lunch for three people including drinks and including tips for 100 Dinars. That's completely fair, considering the staff kept bringing us some extra fries and extra pasta during our lunch. There's also a nice lady inside the zoo that sells handwritten souvenirs with calligraphy. When walking out, you pass through that souvenir shop area again. This time we went into one of these shops and were positively surprised: there are price labels! Turned out, the shop owner is a nice guy with fixed (good) prices. He also accepts credit card. To summarize: many interesting animals, good food, fair prices.

Dar Sebastien - International Cultural Center of Hammamet is a stunning beachfront house with a large garden and marble swimming pool. It offers a perfect yet reasonable setting for visitors to imagine living in. The art and architecture are breathtaking, providing an oasis away from the busy road outside. While the entrance fee is cheap, some visitors have noted that the grounds can feel isolated at times.
Don’t miss this tourist attraction in Hammamet! 🔝 The former villa of a rich Romanian 🇷🇴 aristocrat, named George Sebastian, a descendant of the Ghika family, which became the property of the Tunisian state in 1962 and, nowadays, the seat of the Hammamet Cultural Center. George Sebastian and his wife, Flora, of American origin, built the most beautiful house in town. This home with a Romanian soul ♥️ and Arab clothes has attracted a lot of world personalities. After his death, Sebastian left everything to the Tunisian state. George Sebastian hosted several kings of England here, Churchill wrote part of his memoirs under these white walls, and during the German occupation, it was the headquarters of Rommel's headquarters ✅ Having a land of nine hectares, the Romanian aristocrat 🇷🇴 built his house in 1927 and thus "invented an architectural vocabulary based on research and knowledge of vernacular architecture. Much of the hotel architecture on the Tunisian coast has taken up and amplified - sometimes even in excessive forms - the harmonious architecture of George Sebastian's villa. It is a remarkable phenomenon that started from the taste of a Romanian 🇷🇴 for the charm of oriental art. Visited October 2024

It was a nice place to look at with lots of trees and place and a nice amphitheatre, but beware of the guide in the villa. They ask you at reception if you want a coffee or tea for 2 Dinar per person and then the waiter/guide at the villa will give you what you want and take you around, but he will want more money at the end, of course. And he will not be happy with 1 or 2 Dinar
Vanessa E — Google review
It's worth the trip although not incredibly informative. 5 dinar entrance fee, dont opt for the tea or coffee seems like an elaborate scam. Nice grounds to walk around, can easily see it all in 1h. Not much information on the history so check Wikipedia.

Its like a scam we paid at the front for drinks and watet then insude someone took thr tickets and told us to sit but he din’t come nor gave us our drinks. Though the place is pretty but the workers don’t do a thing

Beautiful site but lacks historical context/descriptions.
Anissa C — Google review
Absolute disgrace. A historical site left to rot, dirty, abusively redecorated, zero respect for the architecture, the history, esthetics, anything. No descriptive board on the history of the place. If the EU has financed this horrible place, as a lone sign in the back of the garden suggests, they should immediately ask their money back.

Very nice place to visit. Nice garden and theater, but could be more clean and restored.

Relaxing during the weekend..dar sebastian could be the place to be...this place may host events during holidays or weekend...then you can walk through the big garden surrounding the complex and get to know the variety of flora..ps you can bring your own coffee or buy it there *(I personally didn't like the quality )

Kasbah Fortress Hammanet, a 13th-century fort situated in the old town of Tunisia along the oceanfront, offers stunning views and a museum showcasing the region's history of pirates and Spanish occupation. Visitors can explore historical exhibits for a nominal fee and enjoy peaceful surroundings. The fortress also provides panoramic views from its walls.

The old fortified city, protected by high stone walls. Cobbled, narrow, labyrinthine streets, where you can easily get lost. Lots of small shops, many of them with souvenirs. annoying merchants, trying at any cost to sell you something.

Bit of gentle harassment in the Medina, but they are polite and its fun. Just learn to politely walk away if you’re not buying. Great coffee and some fab nic naks. Start haggling at 20% of what they say and don’t pay more than 40%

Nearly best place in hammamet. Rich with history a lot of touristic shops and good views.

We visited later February 2023. Only 6 dinars per person to enter. It's nice inside and quite peaceful. There is information posters inside on the places of interest. There is a place to buy a limited number of books to the left as you enter the quadrangle which appeared to be quite interesting. Once inside, You climb up the stairs and walk around the walls to get great views of the surrounding area. Ladies and gent toilets inside the walls by the stairs. Very clean with hand towels and hand driers. It looks as though there is a small refreshment bar at the top of the stairs and to the left, though I assume this is only open during the tourist season.

Le Barberousse is a restaurant located in the Medina of Hammamet, offering a romantic and chic ambiance with a variety of Tunisian, seafood, and Mediterranean specialties. The restaurant boasts an excellent location overlooking the beach and provides a diverse menu. Visitors can enjoy breakfast or dinner while taking in the stunning view. Despite being slightly challenging to find, the effort is worthwhile as guests are greeted by friendly staff and an impressive menu available in Arabic, French, and English.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very polite and attentive. The restaurant also has a beautiful view, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you. Highly recommend!

Great experience. Top ambience, top service, and good food. ✅️ Variety of food with a beautiful presentation. ✅️ Ambience is amazing at night, with the low light and candles. ✅️ Waiters are professional and polite. ✅️ Wine is served by glass also, if you don't want to go for a full bottle 🚩 Parking in summer is a hustle. 🚩 Prices are expensive if you're on budget 🚩 Too many stairs to reach the top, if you can't walk
Jeremy B — Google review
Beautiful view, average experience overall. We had lunch at Le Barberousse in Hammamet. The view is absolutely stunning, especially if you get a table overlooking the sea — definitely the highlight of the place. The food was okay, nothing extraordinary, but decent. The service was below average, a bit slow and not very attentive. That said, if you’re visiting Hammamet, it’s still worth trying for the location and ambiance alone. Just go with moderate expectations for the food and service.

Delicious food with great portions, friendly staff, and a great view. Very clean and hygienic. Downside is there are quite a few stairs to get to it and the entrance is a little hidden. Highly recommended though.

It looks like a tourist trap but actually we were the only tourists. The restaurant was fully crowded as Ramadan was starten just two days after our visit. The food was incredible! Only fish and seafood! A bit expensive but it was definitely worth a visit and the best fish/seafood we had in Hammamet!

I don't profess to be a foodie, but I've been around the block a few times mad this place take some beating. Cheat code... Go to the bar after and try to get the table on the terrace. Seafood superb. Staff evening better. If I could give 6 stars, I would!!

Have been a client since some years but tonight the place hit rock bottom for me. In all aspects of cuisine and service. Very amateurish.....so sad....to see this happening. 🥲🤫😒. The starter was a carpaccio of beef dressed differently and a bad sauce, spaghetti carbonara....spaghetti wet with water and the bacon undercooked seriously....after 2/3 attempts to find some taste 0 chance....gave up and didn't finish. To top it off asked for a red wine that was shown to me at 50td, but served the same named wine reserve at 80td. So people be very astute and vigilant. This was a very bad experience. Have never ordered a reserve wine in all my visits here in Tunisia during all my visits. It's been so much better in the past. The people working with you are nice people but not experienced. But seriously after tonight I couldn't honestly recommend chez Robert to potential clients. Don't wish to have that responsibility.

Café Sidi Bou Hdid is a charming and cozy café located within the medina and by the seaside, offering stunning views of the beach. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists due to its unique location and friendly service. The café provides an array of espresso choices, including renowned brands like Lavazza. Despite slightly higher prices typical of touristy areas, it's definitely worth a visit, especially in the morning when you can enjoy the beautiful seaside vibes.

Very beautiful inside and outside the restuarant, staff are friendly, only reason i lowered by one star is the food was nice first time we came, second time it wasnt the best, and another reason is this place is extremely expensive, the other reason is the currency exchange here is very scammy, normal rate is 1 gbp is 3.89 dinars, they were trying to get me to do 1 gbp for 2.3 dinars, on this entire holiday every place i visited gave decent rate, only this place tried to scam me on the rate. Tourists beware The food was decent first time we came pizzas were nice, the second time it tasted a little bland not sure what happened there maybe different staff make quality different. I would return here but wouldnt recommend paying in pounds or trying to exchange your currency here.

Great restaurant/cafe for views and espresso choices. Here you will take some of the best photos of the beach right from your seat. My second favorite part of this restaurant is the espresso choices. Great stop during tourist attractions

The location is Great, but the food is catastrophic. We ordered fruit salad, a real junk. We ordered Children's Paninis. 2 grams of children. We ordered chocolate crepes, not worth the price we paid for. Bottom line, you are going for the location but not for the food.

I was unsure if to go inside as the reviews were not very good but I don't regret to choose this place. We had the menu, 50 dinars and each person ate soup, a tuna brick, salad and a main, dessert, tea and small cakes. In our case we order spaghetti frutti Di mare and fish cuscus. Portion are huge as you can see in the pictures and food is tasty. The view from upstairs is very good.

To start, my wife and I lived in Turkey for 7 years. So we know good fish. Also she is a restaurant manager in the UK. So we were in Tunisia 20 years ago and visited this restaurant then, so we wanted to go again this time. The name has changed over the years. But the building is the same with more pavement outside!!!. A waiter saw us at the menu board and said welcome have a look and backed off. No hassle at all. So in we go. Lovely place, the waiter showed us around. His name was Belgacem. There's an upstairs area with a large balcony area with lots of seating. Nicely decorated throughout. We sat downstairs by the window and a large patio heater as its a bit cold in the evenings. So we looked at the menus and as usual pondering everything. So I went to the fridge and looked at their fish. Well in Turkey, fish was wheeled in and out of the freezer to display cabinet every-day till sold. This wasn't, it was just a few fish, nice and fresh with bright eyes. So we spoke with the waiter and got a price of 150dinar for a 1.6kg sea Bass. This however included a plate of rice, chips, stuffed aubergine, olives, mixed salad, bread, chillies, oils and vinegars. The waiter wasn't pushy or in our face at all. There is no 'smoking ban' inside any restaurant in Tunisia, so sit away from locals if it offends you as most smoke. The food was delicious and so much that the three of us were stuffed. It was well prepared, grilled and executed. There was nice music playing in the background, the toilets were very clean and it was a lovely night. Highly recommended.

Great place to enjoy Alcohol on the beach. Servers are very professional and this is definitely a hot spot for socializing and adult beverages. Food is not as good as the hype you might expect. Absolutely DO NOT pay for the lobster. Mine had a very dirty taste and I'm not sure of the exact source. Part of the reason may be because it wasn't live. Trust me, you will be disappointed with it. But don't let this dish keep you from here. You'll enjoy the atmosphere for sure.

Restaurant Le Pêcheur is a budget-friendly establishment offering a variety of Tunisian and Mediterranean dishes with a homemade touch. Situated conveniently across from the old castle and near the Centre Commercial, it provides an excellent location for visitors. Nice place to seat, low prices and very yummy food. Very near to fort and sea, so location is great. Restaurant doesn't look attractive, but it's definitely worth to eat there.

Ice cream shop
Mongelli is an ice cream shop located south of L'angolo Verde, offering a wide variety of flavors, with a notable emphasis on gluten-free options. Customers can opt for take-out boxes that can hold up to three flavors, providing better value compared to buying by the cone. The ice cream-stuffed truffles are particularly delicious. Visitors have praised the natural and high-quality taste of flavors like pistachio and hazelnut.
The ice cream was very nice and very reasonable prices (10 dina) for 3 scoops
Talha K — Google review
Service is 0. Seller girl told to coworker "don't put her a lot" in front of me - guest! Before prices were less, and portions are bigger. Today's ball 4,5 DT, and you can't call it ball even, check the picture: do you call it ball of ice cream? 🤔🧐

Tastes are always authentic. A Little bit expensive but worth every penny. Good service. Very Clean shop.

Best Orange Chocolate I’ve ever had! Pistachio, Hazelnut, chocolate, and dark chocolate are great as well
Layla S — Google review
Huge variety of flavours, all very delicious - especially recommend the dark chocolate, chocolate orange and mojito ones.
Emily M — Google review
Very tasty Gelato. I have tried the pistachio and hazelnut flavors. They seem to be natural and of good quality. I recommend giving it a try.
Bilel A — Google review
I like their take out boxes that I was able to fill with ice cream. Customers are allowed 3 flavors per box. The price is more attractive than buying by the cone. The ice cream stuffed truffles are delicious too.

I paid for 2 portions and got one a half and the excuse was the second was an expensive product and that’s all that would give me was half a portion. Staff all stared and not helpful plus taste was mediocre

Restaurant
Been coming here for the past 3 years in summer and I can say that this is the best beach-side restaurant you can spend your day in while in Hammamet. Italian food with fresh produce. Go for the pasta and always ask the waiters for the menu of the day. Shower and changing rooms are available too. A very good atmosphere and vibe. The beach is clean and magical towards sunset time. Can’t recommend it enough!

Basically one of the best places ever visited in hammamet. If you're fed up with overcrowded and overrated places all over the cost this is perfect. The staff was very friendly and the manager has a sense of detail. The food was top notch and based on a Italian seafood cuisine. The beach quality is out of this world with it's clean sand and crystal clear water. Worth every dinar spend. Thank u guys ✌️
Achraf O — Google review
Ambience very cool and kitsch and big tasty portions. Downside.. service is dreadful. They have forgotten my order several times, the waiter disappears and each time you ask a different one they say its not their responsibility
Yasmine A — Google review
Great location directly at the beach. Excellent Italian cuisine with delicious pasta, pizza and sea food. Attentive and friendly service. Safe place to spend good times.
Bert W — Google review
a place that has changed my idea about hospitality in Tunisian bars/restaurants. reservation is possible, name is saved, place is granted, someone to escort you to your place. then waiters available (sometimes not due to high nbr of customers) smiley and funny and adapting to your requests but off course expecting tips as prt of their job. honestly, will come back everytime ill be in Tunisia in the summer.
Mohamed I — Google review
Despite the beauty of the place I don’t recommend ! Impossible to get a waiter to take the order.... once the food served we (myself and a friend) got a food poisoning within 2 hours...
