Stadium
Estadio La Bombonera is an iconic football stadium located in the vibrant La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Its name, which means "the chocolate box" in Spanish, reflects its unique shape. The stadium is home to the Boca Juniors football club, known for its passionate fans and electric atmosphere during matches. Visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves in the experience by donning the team's blue and yellow colors and witnessing a game firsthand.
I recently visited La Bombonera in Buenos Aires and watched an unforgettable experience; albeit a Stadium & Museum Tour, with a fantastic guide. I can’t believe I actually stood and visited the iconic stadium, one day I will return to actually watch a football match therefore I can feel the passion of Boca Juniors fans echoing through the steep stands. One interesting fact: I was told, the stadium’s unique “flat” side was designed to maximize space in the cramped neighborhood of La Boca. Another: when the fans jump in unison, the structure actually vibrates — earning it the nickname La Bombonera no tiembla, late (“La Bombonera doesn’t shake, it BEATS”).
Mat T — Google review
One of the most distinctive and iconic football stadiums in the world. The 'Chocolate Box' is instantly recognisable with it's super steep 3 tiered stands and bright colours, while keeping it's 'old school' feel. It's a must visit if in Buenos Aires, and if you made it all the way out to La Boca, you may as well do the stadium & museum tour if Boca Juniors are not playing. Make sure and buy your tickets just inside under the club crest and not from other 'vendors'. Also, do not wander too much away from the stadium or El Caminito, as it can be a bit dodgy, and especially not after dark. The tour is not only informative but the guides are fun with jokes and back stories. Every time I have visited this city, Boca have been playing away or I couldn't get a ticket, so I have yet been unable to sample the electric atmosphere these fans are famous for. When I do, it will get the 5 stars. Definitely worth the trip out here anyway - what a great club!
Alan E — Google review
We visited during July vacation period in Argentina so the lines were pretty unreal. I wanted to buy my children Boca Jrs jerseys so asked to enter the store without waiting in the massive lines outside. I bought all 3 children a jersey and asked the sales associate if I could just get in line to buy stadium tour tickets, he said no problem. Stadium Tour comes with the museum experience and the opportunity to go out and sit outside on the goal side of the stadium and just absorb the atmosphere. Museum - some nice interactive pieces and not too overwhelming with too much to see and read, but at the same time gives you a feel for the tradition the club has and the part of the fabric it is of the city and neighborhood. I mostly enjoyed the chance to go out and sit in the goal end of the stadium while we waited. Tour - it was nice to hear a bit about the history of the club and absorb the atmosphere. On the tour you are able to: go in a few tunnels where only employees are allowed, sit in the famous side of the Chocolate Box stand and listen to the guide share some history, go to the other goal side and stand on the pitch behind the goal, visit the visiting locker room, see the press room and then see an entrance where there is a nice painting depicting the club’s history. Missing from the tour (which I first took 20 years ago) was a visit to the Home Team’s locker room, that was a bit of a bummer not to see. Overall worth the time and money, especially if you are taking the time to come to the neighborhood. Don’t miss the opportunity to take home something from the store as they have many items you won’t be able to find if you live outside of the country.
Lorin W — Google review
To the ones who love soccer this place is worthy. Good to learn about soccer and the Boca jrs club history, very connected with argentinas soccer as a whole. I thought the tickets were a little expensive but we also did the stadium tour.
Isadora A — Google review
If you can get tickets it's amazing, we'll worth the money. No away fans and 90% are season ticket holders. If you love football then this is for you.
Trevor F — Google review
A beautiful display of how futbol supporters can make a neighborhood shine and represent the team values
Javier G — Google review
The coolest place on earth. Recently voted The Best Futbol Stadium in the World. No where else in the world can you instantly see and feel over a 120 years of history of a town, a team, and a nation. Boca is 50% +1 of Argentina and we all bleed 💙💛💙. I have over 20yrs of experience as a member and grateful to be allowed to be part of this…… Study your maps. You will want to walk the area. Tons of art to see. It’s safe within reason.
David M — Google review
A must-see for each and every avid football fan. A worship place - for football as such and naturally the Devine Diego. Wanna see a match? Tickets only to be arranged through middle men who makes nice business on it (most hotel receptions will give you some useful guidelines). Hold your phone tight, do not wear a watch. You will be observed by the locals.

Usina del Arte is a captivating cultural center located in Buenos Aires, housed in a historic early 20th-century electrical power plant. This former factory has been transformed into a vibrant hub for the arts, technology, and gastronomy. The venue features two auditoriums, gallery space, and hosts an array of programs suitable for all ages.
This was a really nice building for the Tango festival. I just wished that it was more accessible by rapid transit. It seemed a bit out of the way to commute here, and with the heaps of people at the festival, it took a while to get an Uber or taxi out of here. I suggest walking out a block or two for a faster get-away. Other than this hiccup, it is a beautiful space.

Great to visit during an exhibition or live performance. I saw a live performance of Lucas and The Woods here in 2018. I would not wonder far though as it is still part of the somewhat abandoned south side of the city. The area was reclaimed and is still in a long process of flipping.

Watched Dakhabraka here. Very good venue, good acoustics. The staff wasn't very helpful though. They just gave us the ticket and directed us a bit wrongly and we ended up in a bad seat despite showing up early.

I visited this place for the first time. It's a huge place that looks like a castle. There you can attend to different concerts or art activities for free. I attended a very high quality concert, which probably usually costs lots of money. The staff were very friendly as well I would love to follow their activities and visit this place again soon P.S. Activities are free, but it's better to register before the event. There's also an option to come 20 min before the start and if they have place they let you in

We went to check out this place just out of curiosity and we ended up in a jazz concert for free! It was part of the Jazz festival of Buenos Aires and the concert had already begun but there were seats still available. So we could get in and enjoy the music!

The Museo Nacional del Cabildo de Buenos Aires y de la Revolución de Mayo is housed in a former colonial government building and showcases a collection of Argentine heritage pieces. The museum is located in an area that features some of the city's most important structures, such as the pink Casa Rosada, Catedral Metropolitano, and the Cabildo.
This is a beautiful building set at the end of a lovely little square (plaza), with other unique scenery surrounding it, like the presidential palace, other national museums and cathedral. The museum is unique and looks like an old chapel. I did not actually visit the museum however. The square is also a good starting point to walk to the obelisk or along the pedestrian street, Florida. Well worth a visit.

A very interesting afternoon. I didn't know that the Brit invaded BA... But was also kicked out later. So why is this colonial robber still hold on to Falklands?

Nice setup in an history laden building. Excellent views from the balconies on the first floor.

This museum, actually the old and former town hall of the city, is a great venue to learn about the start of the city as well as the revolution that catapulted Argentina into its independence. It has just a few rooms with not that many pieces on exhibition, but it offers a profound bunch of information about the mentioned topic. Even I could master the information displayed with my practically non-exitant Spanish. The view of the Plaza Mayor, on the Casa Rosada and the Cathedral are quite sensational! Enzry is for free.
Nic G — Google review
Some gallery has English translation. I use Google lens to have some context and history of each objects. It takes time to scan and understand what you’re looking at but for outsiders, understanding its history and culture is important.
Quang P — Google review
In itself, this museum is impressive and worth seeing. The displays are great, but they've also employed some cool tech to also make it more interactive. And, one should note the very important history of this building and location. However, there is also a bunch to see and do in the area. There are a number of great parks, local art, fountains, restaurants and shopping.

Excellent museum and guided tour! You can even have a snack outside. The visit is a must both for locals and tourists alike. On the first Saturday of November the museum is one of the very many that takes part in the Museum's evening or Noche de los Museums. There are way too long queues then. Originally, in the times of the colony, there was a jail for slaves and lawbreakers alike, who were tortured and packed in a very smelly small place. Fortunately, this is just part of history.

Nestled in the heart of Buenos Aires, Pertutti Suc. Plaza de Mayo is a charming cafe and ristorante that perfectly captures the essence of Porteno culture. With its classic European ambiance, it's an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the vibrant city. Patrons rave about their delectable desserts and unique drinks, especially the homemade complimentary chips that are simply irresistible!
This was one of the best restaurant visits of my whole trip. Menu option in Spanish and English. Delicious food with very generous portions. Exceptional service! Really exceptional ! A+++ Everything is clean and beautiful and aeven the bathrooms are fantastic! We ate in the main restaurant AND went next door to buy some small tasty treats take away . Everything is so yummy!!!

We came here for dinner as it was close to our hotel. We all had Risotto (different types), which was very tasty and filling. They seem to cater for tourists rather than locals, and service was a little slow, but it was ok. It looks like they do great afternoon teas

You simply must visit this place — in just half an hour, over a divine cup of coffee and a delightful pastry like the one I had, you’ll experience the elegance, charm, and true spirit of Buenos Aires. The professional and warm staff will make the moment even more memorable, turning it into an experience you’ll want to savor again and again.

The waiter's attitude was very bad since I entered the door. I only ordered a cup of tea and chose a 5% tip when paying, but the waiter's attitude got even worse. He just threw the receipt on the table (instead of placing it normally on the table). This store's reputation will decline because of this waiter.

Very nice place very nice restaurant. The meat is so good. The burgers are also. There is unlimites appetizer made of bread and sauces. Only special argentines dishes. Waiters and people are very nice. The location is also very good near the plaza de mayo. As a tourist I highly recommand this place for a first or not argentine lunch experience !

A classic cafe & ristorante looking out on one of the most prominent plazas of Buenos Aires. A lovely spot to relax your feet after a long day of sightseeing. Pertutti provides you with classic desserts, cakes, unique drinks and good food! The home made complimentary chips are absolutely amazing. They're salty, fresh and crispy. I wish I could buy it by the bag. Being a chain and located at one of the biggest hot spots in BA, you can expect tourist prices. But the service and quality make up for it. The waiters are very professional and are always stand by to tend to your needs or questions. The staff speaks/understands English and will help you with your order. The restrooms are very clean and well kept. Occasionally there is a smell around the restaurant but I haven't figured out what causes it yet. But that does not reflect negatively on the restaurant or impact the experience. A great place to overlook the Plaza de Mayo and to take in the intricate architecture that Buenos Aires has to offer.
Animesh G — Google review
I ordered the loin ravioli. I wasn't asked what type of sauce I wanted it with, it was served with a heavy mushroom cream and unfortunately I don't like mushrooms. The cream was really heavy and not seasoned well. The meat in the ravioli had no flavor. It was quite expensive so I asked if I could have it with a different sauce and they did allow me to have it with a tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was fresh but again not seasoned. I used a TON of salt all the way through. The fresh bread was nice. The service was good although they forgot my arugula and parmesan salad, I didn't mention it and it wasn't on the bill so not very important. The location is great, lovely views and atmosphere. The mosquitos will get you after dark which is the case anywhere in B.A. if you dare dine outdoors.

Argentinian restaurant
El Obrero is a renowned bodegon in the historic neighborhood of La Boca, Buenos Aires. This iconic restaurant has been serving prime cuts since 1910 and offers an authentic porteno experience. The walls are adorned with soccer and boxing memorabilia, creating a nostalgic ambiance that transports diners to a bygone era. Despite its unchanged appearance since the 1950s, El Obrero provides extremely hospitable service.
El Obrero is a classic in Buenos Aires. Not far from La Bombonera, on Barrio de La Boca, it's a gem in this neighbourhood. It's true that it is easy to find great restaurants and amazing meat in Buenos Aires, but El Obrero is a highlight on the city. When we visited it, it was only opened for dinners. You will probably read a lot about how dangerous it can be this south part of the city, but we truly had no problems. We walked there, from the stadium, and we left by bus. You can also take a taxi, and it should be no problem. Of course, regular caution should be taken. Inside, the environment is great and football scarves and jerseys are the regular decoration. They serve angentinian food, with a great focus on the grills. We had Bife Chorizo and Bife Lomo, to try two different cuts. They were both grilled "al punto", which is slightly more grilled than we are used to, but we trusted the recommendation. They were both great, and we preferred the lomo - a bit more pink, juicy and tasty. The service was also very close and familiar. Despite the location, I strongly recommend it to give El Obrero the chance it deserves.

Restaurant
Cucina D'Onore is an Italian restaurant with a gangster theme that offers a fun and enjoyable dining experience. The food is highly praised, with a well-executed Italian menu that caters to various dietary requirements. Visitors have raved about the hand-made pasta and succulent steaks. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and provide excellent service. The restaurant has an upscale ambiance, with servers dressed in 1920s attire.
From start to finish, the overall experience was fantastic! 👏 The food, drinks, and service were top-notch. If you're in the area, add this place to your list, you won't be disappointed!
Joe R — Google review
We went there because of the large amount of positive Reviews. As European tourists having been to Italy multiple times I would say we are quite familiar with Italian cuisine. However the food was average at best (all of us having pasta). We waited a long time despite being the only people in the restaurant (on a weekday at around 7 pm). The atmosphere was very unwelcoming, maybe due to us being the only guests or maybe due to the very cliche Mafia themed interior. There were 4 waiters standing right beside our table, yet none of them was really paying attention to us, forgetting drinks we ordered on 2 occasions. At least the prices were fair. All in all I cannot understand the positive reviews as this was the worst dinner experience we had during our 3 weeks in South America. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone valuing atmosphere or somewhat authentic Italian cuisine.
Henrik K — Google review
They will make you a dinner offer you can't refuse! We were taken here by our local family, so didn't choose it ourselves. We might have been turned off by the Mafia kitsch but it turned out to be pretty fun. Also, the food was pretty great. Italian menu done really well. We had a variety of dietary requirements and they nailed it with everything. Hand made pasta was a huge hit and the steak was as juicy and succulent as you could imagine. The wine selection was great, too with some recommendations we absolutely loved. A winner, for sure 👍

We have someone with a deathly egg allergy in our group. We took every precaution. They said they were doing everything they could. My aunt even went into the kitchen (which had no chefs and was just waiters hanging out). They still served him eggs. I also want to mention that my sister went to sit down and her chair had a whole in it with rusty nails sticking out. Tetanus much? Lastly, the food was not it…

Day 2

Southwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southwest side side of town. Start the day off with Alto Avellaneda Shopping, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to McDonald's. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

The shopping mall Alto Avellaneda Shopping is a great place for city shoppers. There are national and international stores as well as a food court. The parking is free and the crowd tends to be packed on weekends.
Nice and quiet shopping centre, lots of nice cafés and shops. It's the ideal place for a Sunday morning walk and coffee

Located in the south area of Buenos Aires province (yes! The province and the capital city have the same name!) But not far from the city is a nice place to go shopping and much more. There is a casino, an Easy mega store, and a huge parking area that is free! The brands are ok and the restaurants area is fine.

The place is OK for a random city shopping. They have some cool clothes stores and a not so narrowed variety of food to chose from plus there's a supermarket and a place you can buy things for building like house depot
Horacio G — Google review
On busy days finding where to park can be truly challenging and time consuming. Same goes for finding a table at the "patio de comidas". However, the mall is nice, offering plenty of activities, food, shopping, etc.

Nice please. Good food to be fast food. I love that in Argentina. I just needed to spend a lite time. I looked for shoes and bra really not good for that. I didn't buy, but it's not the mall is Argentina in general. I wonder how Argentine women manage with those bra. Not good at all. Not even for markers like Caro coure or something like that that they says it's one of the best in this country. My gud!

The home of Independiente, is one of the best stadiums I was ever in. Spectacularly designed and a rocking atmosphere. The night I visited here, was a crunch match to qualify for the Copa Libertadores, so the passionate crowd were really up for it. As Independiente are the record holders of most wins of this continental cup, this competition is very special to all involved with the club. Before the match, I went to a supporters bar at a horse riding centre near the ground. There I spoke with many fans who probably had too much to drink, but were mad passionate about the Reds and wanted to share their tales about following the club through the years. I met a lot of memorable characters this night and had a great time. As a Liverpool fan, my only real knowledge of Independiente was them beating us in a Club World Cup Final sometime in the distant past. To my surprise, I was to quickly learn from the fans that this night was the celebration of the 40 year anniversary of the greatest win in their history. What a coincidence for me. At half time, the now older heroes paraded the cup around the pitch, as they showed the goal that won that game in a continuous loop on the big screen, while my newly made friends hugged me, and made fun of me in a jocular way. The Reds won the match 2-1 in the end and the explosion of joy and also relief in the air was palpable. This place is quite a distance from the centre of Buenos Aires, in the suburb of Avellaneda, and the commute requires 2 trains. I was warned to be very careful coming out here, and when I saw the huge police presence here, I got a dose of the fear. However, my experience proved to be the opposite, and I have nothing but warm memories about this place.
Alan E — Google review
I've been there at a football game between River Plate and Instituto. It is not the home stadium of River Plate but it was the available stadium for a home match of this team. The access was very fast (the way in and the way out) and the shops were easy to find. The show was incredible, great, the best I've ever seen in a football stadium! The supporters of River Plate made an incredible show, exactly what I was hoping for.
Marius T — Google review
Let's go reds! Beautiful stadium. Of all the stadiums I got to know on my visit to Argentina, this is the best.

Cool stadium with the best view possible as it has been redone recently although it looks like it still misses a few details here and there. Los hinchas are not that noisy but all in all, a very cool experience!

The new Stadium is very comfortable with an excellent VIP area. You can feel the passion of argentine soccer in a stadium with the largest history of success in international championship.

It's a nice experience for a foreigner. I came by Uber. Can buy tickets online which is great. The fans always sing, but wonder why the stadium isn't full.
Ben C — Google review
I came here by myself for a 21.10 kick-off on a Monday night and bought the ticket at the stadium an hour before the game (720 pesos) without issue. The stadium is a good one and the atmosphere is unreal- the fans do not stop singing and at times the stand genuinely was shaking. The area did not seem as bad as I expected and you can get very close to the stadium by public transport. I stayed until the end and took the no.17 bus from round the corner from the stadium up to Recoleta then changed bus. I was back in Palermo a little over an hour after the final whistle. There are so many people and police around after the final whistle that I think there’s minimal chance of you running into any trouble as long as you head straight to get the bus/train and know where you’re going. A fantastic evening out!

Café Martínez is a delightful spot that caters to various dietary preferences, including non-allium vegetarians who can enjoy their signature lentil salad. While this dish comes highly recommended, it's worth noting that some branches may not include all the traditional ingredients or as much avocado as expected. Despite this minor setback, visitors often rave about the charming ambiance and attentive service provided by staff like Sophia. The café also boasts an array of gluten-free options, making it a versatile choice for many diners.
We had a great time and wonderful food that was served by Sophia! They have plenty of gluten-free options (sin TACC). It’s pretty cute atmosphere.

The only choice for non allium vegetarians is Lentil salad in all Martínez branches. Of course you can choose to eat bakery's products which you have a few more choices. But the lentils salad is the most recommended. However, this branch didn't serve all the ingredients which the said salad should have and with a lot less avocado 🥑. It's a shame that this happened because I really enjoyed the quietness and the nice service that this place offered.

I ordered a Milanese with fries and I would never have imagined the size of the mila, I had to wrap a third of it to take away. My girlfriend ordered the dish of the day, empty with fries. The meat is spectacular, juicy and with a lot of flavor. It also had to be wrapped!!! For dessert, a bread pudding and a flan, both with dulce de leche. The amount of dulce de leche they gave us was very generous. Very nice place, very familiar, warm. All 10 points, nothing to criticize!!!

With a homey, tavern-style atmosphere, the food is delicious, the dishes are hearty, and it's worth noting that the waitress' service is ALWAYS excellent, displaying incredible human qualities. I recommend: lasagna, pork loin with mushrooms, and matambre pizza. Average spend per person: $20 While you wait for your meal, they serve a complimentary small pizza. There's Wi-Fi, and you can pay with cash, paypal, bank transfer, or debit card. You don't go here just for the service, you go because you are tired of paying a lot and eating little. Here you pay well and you eat as if it were your last day of life because it is so delicious. So If you want to eat well “the faculty” but good I hope you enjoy your half potato. Greetings. The only criticism is that the dough is very thin and gets very soggy with the sauce and mozzarella. (Translated by Google) We go as a family whenever we can. Saturday was pretty quiet. We had dinner outside, and the atmosphere was very nice. We ordered four empanadas as a starter (the meat ones are delicious) and then half a Calabrese empanada and half a ham and bell pepper empanada. The truth is that the dough, the cheese, and everything else in it is exquisite. The pastry is thin and crispy underneath, and the mozzarella is delicious and rich. That, plus a beer and a liter of Coke, cost us $1,250 for a family of four, which is more than enough. I recommend it.

(Translated by Google) Excellent pizza. It's not the traditional kind; its style (although not strictly speaking) is more similar to Neapolitan: thin and soufflé-like toward the edges. A great place to go and eat a different style of pizza, very delicious. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, typical of a neighborhood pizzeria. (Original) Excelente pizza. (Translated by Google) Mirabeles pizza café, a place to go with the family. It has a baseball player, the bathrooms are clean, the service leaves something to be desired due to its slowness, it is a pleasant place, it has a couple of screens, I don't know if you can put whatever you want or if you are programmed, and good background music. Well we went, we ordered empanadas, pizza and a glass of ice cream. The empanadas, disappointed in the one made with bacon since the bacon was good, thank you, it took the day and the caprese was good, it was easy to eat, it is to be recommended. The arugula pizza, mmmm good pizza, it's not a great pizza, but you could eat it quite a bit with the raw ham and the black olives make a good pizza, it's recommended. The frozen drink we had was something else, something full of colors and flavors, with a touch of fruits, nuts, ice cream, cream and wafers. It makes this dessert something highly recommended. Of course, if you are going to order it, it should be a minimum of a couple or two people since it is a huge tower of flavor. This is why Mirabeles pizza only has 3 and not 4 or 5 stars in my opinion. I think that a more or more careful employee when preparing the empanadas would give it more points. Since the time wasted waiting for attention is a lot for a place of that quality and with those prices.

(Translated by Google) To start, Daiana served me. As soon as I arrived, she didn't even greet me and never introduced herself. I had to ask her name when I was paying. I never got anything to snack on, for example, peanuts while I was waiting for my food (I've come before and they always brought it down for me). Although it didn't take long (15 minutes), I saw how they brought it down for the rest of the tables. She brought me some kind of bread basket fresh with the food. She sat down whenever she could and that doesn't look good. She made faces every time she had to approach a table. She insulted her colleague at the bar without fear of the customers hearing, and finally, she put her finger in the flan, on the plate, and in the glass. The food was very delicious and of an ideal size. It was quite affordable. I had the executive menu. I would give her another chance since out of the two times I've come here, I only had a bad experience with the service. While one can have a bad day, it's understandable, but the customer shouldn't have to suffer the consequences. I say this from the position of a waiter and manager of a restaurant.

Il Bersagliere Ristorante is an incredible establishment that transports you back in time to Italy. The food is exceptional, offering a mostly delightful Italian cuisine with just a few disappointments such as the caprese salad. The wine cellar is impressive, and the service provided by the staff, who embody true Italian hospitality, is both professional and friendly. Despite its peculiar location, this beautiful restaurant comes at a steep price for the area.
Great authentic Italian restaurant off the beaten path. Very friendly service from the woman at the front door. Waiters are very professional and quick. The food was all freshly made and promptly served. This feels like a restaurant straight out of Italy.

Nestled in the vibrant Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Museo Evita is a captivating tribute to one of Argentina's most revered figures, Eva Perón. This museum beautifully chronicles her extraordinary journey from a celebrated actress to an influential political activist and First Lady. Visitors can explore an array of personal artifacts, photographs, and documents that illuminate her life and contributions to society. The exhibits delve into her activism and philanthropy while also showcasing significant elements from the Peronist movement.
One of the most beautiful museums in Buenos Aires 😍 I loved seeing Evita’s story unfold by the showcase of her outfits throughout the years. It was so moving to learn about her contributions to women’s rights in Argentina. Amazing museum, would recommend to anyone visiting Buenos Aires.

The museum presentation is quite fabulous! Lots of details about Evita’s life. My favorite part was seeing some of her original outfits. You can’t take pictures of them but trust me, they are stunning!
Hazel C — Google review
Great museum, love the buildings architecture. Took about 40 minutes for the tour and cost around $6 USD. There was some English writing throughout the museum. The ladies at the front also spoke English. They have an audio guide but you need your own headphones which I didn't have, but that looked cool.
Jacob S — Google review
Highly recommend. I missed this on my last trip to Buenos Aires. Really good. The museum is devoted to Argentina's iconic first lady and wife of President Juan Domingo Perón. Housed in a gorgeous 1923 mansion that from 1948 belonged to Eva Perón's social foundation, Museo Evita celebrates the Argentine heroine with videos, historical photos, books and posters. The displays contain collections from her wardrobe, which include dresses she wore, shoes, handbags, hats and blouses. Some reviewers mention the entrance ticket to be pricey but I didn't think so. I paid ARS 9,000 which was very reasonable. Easy to navigate. Highly recommend connecting to the audio guide on your phone. Follow the instructions on your ticket by first connecting to the WIFI (took me a few tries before it worked). The languages available are Spanish, English and Portuguese. You can then explore the museum at your own pace. It was very interesting without being overloaded. I spent around one hour and twenty minutes there (this was at a slow pace). Worth stopping at the store when you have finished your visit. Staff are pleasant and helpful. One thing, bring earplugs with. A lot of people had not done this and it became annoying listening to multiple audio guides as everyone had it on loudspeaker!
Taylor D — Google review
Very cool museum! The café was also very pleasant, especially the outdoor seating. Also shoutout to our awesome tour guide!
Odin B — Google review
This museum is all about Evita. It only gives the positive view. They give you a link to the explanations. The museum is set in a former home for children which is very appropriate. It took us about 30 minutes to take in the whole museum. They do have a gift shop that carries books in Spanish and English, particularly the book written by Evita herself.

Notable street
Caminito is a vibrant alley and street museum in La Boca, inspired by a famous tango song. The area was settled by Genoese immigrants in the early 1900s and is now popular with tourists due to its Italian restaurants and colorful wooden houses. Visitors can experience the aroma of southern Italy, enjoy mate lessons, and admire the brightly hued houses. However, it's important to stick to the main roads as the area has become overrun with tourist shops and pushy sellers.

Fundación Proa is an art museum located in the vibrant La Boca neighborhood. Housed in a refurbished Italian-style house, it features contemporary exhibits, a performance and film auditorium, a cafe with panoramic views, and a library. The foundation showcases temporary exhibitions of international artists and art movements, often trimming down traveling exhibitions to fit its smaller yet high-quality gallery spaces. Fundación Proa's charitable mission emphasizes education, resulting in multimedia facilities and a bookshop.
A truly remarkable cultural spot in Buenos Aires! The Proa Foundation is a beautiful space that perfectly blends contemporary art with its vibrant, artistic surroundings. The exhibitions are always thoughtfully curated, offering a mix of local and international artists that engage and inspire. The architecture of the building is stunning, providing a light-filled and spacious environment that enhances the art on display. I also loved the café and terrace, where you can take a break and enjoy beautiful views of the neighborhood. If you’re in Buenos Aires and appreciate contemporary art, the Proa Foundation is definitely a place to visit. A wonderful blend of culture, creativity, and design!

The architecture makes you feel ...in transition... But they don't embrace it. They don't take the risk that that embodiment recquires. I will guide you through a liminal space that addresses what is needed...

I visited this museum in November 2024 and was very excited to learn more about the native people of Argentina. Unfortunately, the English guide that you get to read on your phone was difficult to follow. At times I started reading descriptions of a different item and had to put more effort to orient myself in the room. You also get to follow the audio which is in English but I prefer reading. I think it is a great place with some important artefacts and lots of information but needs to improve in how to convey the information to English speaking tourists. There is also a terrace/balcony on the second floor. Once you pass the shop, you can use the toilet (they were clean when I visited) and then head upstairs to a café and the balcony or head downstairs to exit.

Interesting exhibitions, delightful bookshop and beautiful views of La Boca.

Ultimately a frustrating experience with the Inca museum since there were no english annotations, the provided audioguide via QR code only covered the first room, and the texts were clearly not relating to the exhibition in its present state.

It doesn’t really matter what’s on the exhibit, you can just go to Proa for Proa itself. The museum is a gorgeous renovation of an old building of La Boca, done with such taste and care that it blends elegantly and seamlessly with the historical port and bay. The interiors are beautifully carried out, with modern design while using traditional boat materials. The cherry is the restaurant: incredible food, amazing bread and the best view ever. Last but not least: not expensive at all.

Restaurant
Restaurant Vilita is a delightful gem in Avellaneda, perfect for celebrating special occasions like birthdays. Guests rave about the thoughtful meal planning that accommodates larger groups, ensuring everyone enjoys their experience. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a warm welcome featuring empanadas and sherry, setting the tone for an enjoyable dining adventure.
I have been to Vilita several times. The atmosphere is very cool and eclectic, and different from any other you will find in Buenos Aires. The staff is very friendly and offers great customer service. They will work hard to make sure you are pleased with your visit. They offer a variety of traditional Argentinian dishes as well special plates from other countries and cuisines. The chefs are always doing better and better. I recommend it! Its in Avellaneda but worth the trip!

(Translated by Google) A lovely little restaurant in Sarandi... run by its owners for years. Its walls are covered with photos from 70s and 80s magazines. They give you a small empanada and a glass of beer as a welcome treat! The squid is spectacular, as is the catch of the day. The pasta is delicious. I wanted to try the beet and banana gnocchi, but they didn't have any. Don't order a sharing plate because it's 20% more expensive and isn't much bigger than a single plate. The service is very warm and attentive. It was my birthday, so they played the song, brought a candle, and a complimentary glass of lemoncello.

(Translated by Google) A very nice place to visit... we had to make a reservation, and when we arrived, the restaurant was packed... The place has a lot of vintage items inside. We sat down, and at the entrance, they gave us empanadas and small glasses of Geres. We ordered gnocchi, fish pie, lasagna, and matambre. Since the food is homemade, it took an hour until they brought it to us. Everything was delicious, and the service was fantastic, from the waitress and the waiter, who was wearing a bandana. The lemonchelo dessert with two American brushes was top-notch. You can pay in cash, which gives you a discount, or with a credit card. A recommended place. Pizza restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Pizzería Güerrín is a renowned establishment in Buenos Aires, serving traditional Argentinian-style pizza and empanadas since 1932. It has become an iconic spot for locals and visitors alike, with long queues during peak hours due to its immense popularity. While some claim that the quality may have changed since it was acquired by the owners of a pizza chain, it remains a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of Buenos Aires' unique pizza style.
Pizzería Guerrin is an absolute classic and truly one of the best spots for pizza in Buenos Aires. They do a fantastic job – the pizza is delicious, fresh, and made with high-quality ingredients. The tomato sauce tastes homemade, like it’s made from real tomatoes, not processed ones – rich in flavor and full of aromatic spices. You don’t need to add anything – it’s perfect just the way it is. The place is always packed, but the staff handles it incredibly well. The team is fantastic – I’d rate the service 10 out of 10. The kitchen works efficiently, and despite the rush, we didn’t wait long for our pizza. When it arrived, it was absolutely amazing. Even the people next to us, who had just arrived, were admiring our pizza! The desserts looked great too, but unfortunately, we were too full to try them. Still – this place is absolutely worth visiting. The atmosphere, the flavors, the quality, and the service – all top-notch.
Krystian T — Google review
This is considered the best pizza in Argentina or at least BA. It’s a huge place with so many tables and rooms and staff that it is quite a maze. The staff were attentive and helpful and I have to admit that the ingredients were high quality and the pizza was very good. I did think that is was on the pricey side for a pizza (we visited in May 2025) but it was a great experience and I would definitely return to try other combinations of toppings and crust!
Dov F — Google review
For a foreigner this is an average pizza with average ingredients and a pre-made dough. The cheese is abundant but there nothing that stands out about this pizza. It's cultural and historic that's the whole point. You can try argentinan pizza here to say that you've had it but there's no need to come back. It has HUGE amounts of mozarella cheese which I guess drives people crazy. For this style this place is famous but there's much better options in Buenos Aires for spectacular napolitan style pizza such as Atte. The place is always packed so don't go on an empty stomach. I paid 42,000 for a large pizza and a HORRIBLE glass of wine. That size is good for four people.
A C — Google review
It was definitely worth visiting this place! I must give 5 stars to the staff — even though there was a line, I didn’t have to wait long because they work efficiently and fast, attentive - which makes the whole experience so much easier. I’d recommend trying the pizza with anchovies and their signature one with onions, the half/half option - both were incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
Nataliia T — Google review
It’s an Buenos Aires staple and always crowded, especially outside peak hours. The pizza here is very thick — almost like bread! I tried the Fugazzeta, Guerrin Special, and their empanadas, and honestly, I preferred the empanadas over the pizza. The empanadas taste good. The restaurant i super spacious and can handle lot of people. The pizza comes loaded with toppings, but it felt a bit too heavy, and the bread flavor was quite dominant. I’d suggest ordering by the slice so you can try different varieties. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I might not coming back.
Debby D — Google review
Wow. Amazing pizza. Crazy ambiance. There are three sections, we went all the way back to the last one. For as large and busy as it was, service was fast.
John S — Google review
First time there. After a few questions the server brought us an English menu. Had two kinds of pizza. Both very good. The place is huge. Long line but moved fairly quickly.
Patsy G — Google review
The food here is excellent and the service is fast, especially considering how crowded it gets. The mozzarella pizza is amazing, they put a ridiculous amount of cheese on it, in the best possible way. There’s not much room between tables, and it can be hard to move around because it’s always packed. It’s noisy, but you can still have a conversation. Classic Buenos Aires pizza experience.

Peruvian restaurant
Restaurant
La Conga is a popular Peruvian restaurant known for serving traditional comfort food, including seafood and organic salads. Despite the long lines to get in, locals and even chefs frequent this spot for its authentic Peruvian dishes. The restaurant is credited with influencing Argentine palates with specific flavors and spices over time.
Fresh seafood and huge portions Important info: 1) come early. We came around 19:30 and we were able to sit immediately. But when we left the waiting line was as long as the quadra. 2) portions were big, check out the other tables before ordering. 3) spice things are spicy! Food: we took a shared plate of ceviche, rice, shrimp and calamari - it was amazing. Very fresh seafood, very nice breading, not oily. Lots of sauces based on mayo, but some lemony stuff as well. The other dish - meat/chicken/seafood mix was dry and boring, but with fresh cilantro rice. Inca cola is a blessing (like Georgian vanilla lemonade), local lemonade is nice as well - a bit sweet, very delicate. Service: rather quick, helped us to pick dishes, packed all leftovers - all good. Atmosphere: a lot of people, feels like a canteen. So maybe not for the first date or anniversary, but great for the family outing. Overall I recommend it, really tasty, everything else is not important. The dish in the picture was about 54k (fed 3 grown ups and half of it we took home, a great deal), inca cola 1 litre 15k.

Seems to be a local favorite. We went in around 2 pm and it was very busy. Food is on a very large size. One plate can feed maybe 4 people. Severs were very nice and attentive. They helped me to pack leftovers. Neighborhood looks somewhat rough.

A very good, unpopular restaurant. That's why, even when I make a reservation, there's still a long line to get in. The restaurant is very brightly lit and has the atmosphere of a canteen. But the food is very good and authentic.

La Conga exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely excellent, with huge portions that made every dish feel like great value. The highlight for me was the lemonade slushy, easily the best I’ve ever had—perfectly refreshing and flavorful. The service was outstanding, with staff who were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. While there was a long wait to be seated, it was well worth it for the quality of the meal and the fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

MACBA, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires, is a modern and minimalist space that houses an extensive collection of contemporary works by both local and international artists. Established in 1956, the museum's imposing building in the historic center of San Telmo was inaugurated in 2018. With over 7,000 pieces in its heritage, MACBA showcases a diverse range of art from Argentine artists as well as international works from the 20th and 21st centuries.

The entrance fee is 1700 pesos. There is very little to see (4 paintings on 3 floors and about 10 on the 4th one), and my tour took about 12 minutes to see everything. It's not worth it, in my opinion, unless you combine it with the Museo Moderno next door, which is by far the better one of the two.
Danny Q — Google review
We loved the space but we’re not sure about the works being shown. The gallery next door was better in terms of work

Nice space but more of what I would call a gallery rather than a museum by London standards. It was one artist exhibition on 3 floors ( like 15-20 pieces in total) and a selection of artists on the lowest floor. You can spend 30 mins max here

(Translated by Google) A shame, after I stopped bumping into each other the employees remembered and made me coffee, another horrible disaster cannot be taken. Another issue was the tables full of dirty trays which I had to lift myself to be able to sit down, the waste bin full with the lid open and a pile of dirty trays on top of the lid. They should give him more interest in everything.

(Translated by Google) The food is not bad, nor surprising. Affordable prices. The service is terrible, they give you Ricardo Arjona to cut your wrists, they take a while to bring you the order but... Minimum good customer service. Apparently I'm not the first. I had ordered a small jug and a double, and they brought the jug and the double café con leche... But hey, they were delicious.

Pizza restaurant
Pizzería Los Tres Ases Templo de la pizza may not claim the title of the best pizza in the world or even in Buenos Aires, but it certainly serves up some delicious slices that are worth a visit. This charming spot offers a delightful take on Argentine-style pizza, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Is it the “best pizza in the world”? By no means. It’s not even the best Argentine style pizza in or around Buenos Aires, but, it’s damned good pizza.

Good pizza and fast service. I think the quality has gone down a little over the last years. Still if you want to grab a pizza by the slice on the go, it's a good choice.

(Translated by Google) I went with high expectations and I was disappointed, the entrance was good, fast and hot, I waited for the most delicious moment of the steps on the menu, they brought us a little piece of grilled skirt, and a little piece of emptiness Boy, it was delicious but it was not what I expected, I asked the waiter if he would bring me another piece of roast from the post, a real one, the one you see when you wait in line, well at last he brought me a piece of fat with two roast bone, I tried to eat it but the amount of fat that the meat had invaded my palate, I kept trying with the matambre on the pizza, it was delicious but it didn't make me want to continue eating and tasting too much chopped egg and not enough mozzarella. Today my experience was not what I expected.

(Translated by Google) We went on a Friday without a reservation. We had no problem getting in, there were tables! $30,000 cash and debit $33,000 per person, drinks not included. We were greeted with pickled eggplant and bread! Then, we had a grill (churas, asado, and provoleta on a board, chimichurri), fries with cheddar cheese, and a mixed salad! Then, flank steak and matambre pizza! Very good. 👌 For dessert, pudding with cream and dulce de leche! Everything was delicious! They could add waiters because the one we had couldn't handle so many tables... (Original) Fuimos un viernes sin reservar.
