Port de Cala Bona

4.6

Marina
Port de Cala Bona, once a haven for local fishermen, has transformed into a vibrant center for private yachts and pleasure boats. The picturesque harbor boasts around 180 docking points, inviting visitors to admire the vessels or set off on their own maritime escapades. The area offers a variety of cafes and restaurants catering to different budgets, as well as entertainment options such as live performances and sports events.
Loads of places to eat, have coffee (or alcohol) and just watch the world go by. Beautiful.

Lovely week in Cala Bona. Autumn sun was just what we needed. Wouldn't visit in the summer months it would be far to busy.
Bee B — Google review
Pretty place. Very relaxed atmosphere. Abundance of live entertainment and boat trips to nearby coastal towns. Plenty of restaurants for basic meals, coffee and sitting watching the world go by. Lack of authentic cuisines or traditional atmosphere.
Georgie M — Google review
Lovely little port. Decent food and bars locally. Definitely worth a trip down.

Nice marina where you can catch excursions to go elsewhere such as porto cristo & other places
Jackie R — Google review
Good range of cafés and restaurants. Expensive to reasonably priced. Entertainment is laid on in various establishments including live acts and sports events.

I enjoyed this place. This is a place for tourists to enjoy the sun. During my visit it was quiet and free from children. There are not a lot of places to visit. Easy to walk about with lots of benches. Lots of hotels and a lack of local culture. There are several eateries and an abundance of souvenir shops. Beaches are plentiful with clean seas. €14 for 2 chairs and a brolly. Great bus service to Porto cristo and Palma. Use a plastic card. Cash is double the price.

Fantasy Park Cala Bona

Amusement park
Fantasy Park Cala Bona is a family-friendly amusement park located in the charming resort of Cala Bona on the eastern coastline of Mallorca. The park offers a variety of activities for kids, including a Nice Minions bouncy castle, trampolines, and electric race cars. Visitors can purchase bracelets for access to the attractions and enjoy snacks and beverages at the small bar on-site.
Brilliant place. Cheap and so much fun. Cars are 1 euro a go. Bouncy castle is 5 euro unlimited time. Can sit and watch the kid's and also has a bar.
John M — Google review
Unfriendly staff with no understanding for children and no interests to help to make them feel happy, especially the lady responsible for bouncy castle. There are rules which nobody shows to you, once you pay, but later seem to be the most important ones (the fun for children doesn't count for them at all, important is to get money). Although my children were the only ones on the bouncy castle, we were in a very unfriendly way asked to leave, because my 3 years old child didn't want to wear the ticket bracelet. It didn't matter for them that me as the mother was all the time by the castle with the bracelet on. I would never recommend this place for children, cause it isn't a place to make them happy, it is the place to make money. We visit a lot of places for children in different countries but I have never seen such an attitude before.
Katarzyna K — Google review
I don't usually post reviews but our experience was shocking. I handed over money for my 3 children to go on the bouncy castle, the staff member had just put the wrist band on my daughter's wrist when my daughter decided she would prefer the trampolines instead, she had not stepped foot in the bouncy castle at this stage. The staff member said he couldn't allow the swop as the wrist bands were different colours. I made the point that I could take hers off and give it to one of my sons instead and just use the money paid for the trampoline. He said it couldn't be done, there was a sign saying no refunds, I had only handed over the money 30 seconds earlier. The staff member called another worker and he was very load and aggressive and again refused us a swop/refund. I asked the original staff member for a refund for both my son's, as at that stage I was not going to stay there, I got a refund because the bands hadn't been placed around their wrists...no sense! Staff are extremely rude and intimidating. I would not recommend this park.
Aish — Google review
I can only echo what other people have reviewed about the thing that monitors the bouncy castle, I say thing as I have met cockroaches that are more pleasant. Basically paid for both my children to go on the bouncy castle, the thing then pulled out 2 wristbands, I explained that my youngest cannot wear wristbands (she is autistic) and asked if my eldest could wear both, the thing seemed disgusted by this suggestion and said no you must wear a wristband, I explained she is poorly and cannot do it but we have paid in full so can I hold the wristband whilst I watch. My youngest was getting distressed now and was crying, no shame at all the thing then handed me my money back rather than let an upset child go on the bouncy castle, I took the money and could see the disgust on others queuing with how the thing had treated a 7 year old, however the worst part was the thing then went to all of the other attractions and told the other attendants not to let my youngest on anything as she had refused to wear a wristband, clearly not fit to work with children, picture of the thing is attached.
James M — Google review
Child loved it. Spotlessly clean and great fun. Passes an hour and mum can relax. I thought it was very cheap. €3 for half hour on the bouncy slides. Other activities also cheaply priced for older kids. Very friendly staff.
Olivia M — Google review
Nice Minions bouncy castle. 3€ bracelet allows access to the castle for the whole day. Come and go with the kids as you please. Trampolines 1€ for maybe 5min. Electric race cars (pretty fast) operate for 1€ / four laps. + other coin operated amusements for the kids. Small bar with snacks, beverages, beer etc. The place looks a bit worn out, but e.g. toilets were clean.
Martti R — Google review
Very poor place. My 2 girls were on bouncy castle after a while 2 little boys started hitting them so i approached a member of staff that was supposed to be looking after it but he didnt seem to care. After the 3rd time of this happening i was fed up and approached the parents which the member of staff got annoyed with and started intimidating me to which i was concerned and worried for my safety so took a pic which the member of staff then threatened me with his fist and abusive language.

The park is small but the equipment appears well maintained. My son enjoyed playing on Large bouncy castle, trampolines and go karts. The staff were very nice.

Platja del Port de Cala Bona

4.3
(12)
Nestled along the eastern coast of Mallorca, Platja del Port de Cala Bona is a delightful beach that offers a serene escape for visitors. With its soft golden sands and crystal-clear waters, it's an ideal spot for families looking to spend quality time together. The beach's clean environment adds to its charm, making it perfect for leisurely hours under the sun.
(Translated by Google) Nice place for a walk. There is also a small fish shop. (Original) Leuke plaats om even te wandelen. Er is ook een klein viswinkeltje.
Remy L — Google review
Cala Bona beach isn't necessarily a picturesque stretch of sand, but it isn't trying to be. It is divided by breakwaters into three sections, with one of them having some reasonable sand, and the others more a mix of rock and shingle. It is more of a swimming beach than a sunbathing beach, and the breakwaters keep the water calmer for swimming, and have some steps into the sea. Two of the three sections are a bit rocky underwater, so surf shoes or similar are recommended. For a more classic sandy beach, walk 15-20 minutes to Cala Millor, although it is much more crowded. Another reviewer refers to a sewer draining onto the beach - it is a street drain for rainwater, rather than a sewer, so not ideal, but not as bad as he describes!

Ok beach, some days better then other. Some rocks. Be aware of older lady that sells fruits etc. Rip off, 20 euros for a bit of watermelon and a coconut

Mallorca Sea Paradise - Glass Bottom Boat

4.1

Cruise agency
Mallorca Sea Paradise - Glass Bottom Boat offers a unique and eco-friendly way to explore the ocean life up close. The boat provides a safe retreat for those who want to experience the underwater world without diving equipment. It features a bar for adults and indoor bathrooms, making it convenient for passengers. While it may function more as a ferry service than a guided tour, the scenic views along the coasts of Mallorca make it an affordable and enjoyable trip.
Amazing boat tour up the coast, glass bottom so you can see the fish and the sea floor. Never too crowded on the boat. Fairly priced and you can get the all day ticket that means you can come back at 15:00. They stop on three way back for you to jump off and have a swim. It’s lovely and refreshing after a hot day walking around the towns. Staff were friendly and we had a great time. There is shade inside if you are fair skinned and you can sit on the front of the boat too. Seeing the costs was an eye opener, some very beautiful spots. Would definitely book again next year.
CJ — Google review
We loved this. Reliable trip and a nice smooth journey with no sea sickness. The sea swim near the end was lovely and the captain even steers the boat into a cave as part of the journey. Drinks are available on board. Plenty of time in Porto cristo to look around and enjoy dry land before heading back to the collection and drop off. We absolutely loved this trip.
Kelly B — Google review
Decent service although like others have said it's more of a ferry service than a tour boat. There's no commentary. We used it to travel from Porto Cristo to Cala Bona one way and it was a fine service. Boats can be very busy at peak times but they seem well organized. Try to get a seat on the island side depending on the direction you're going. There's a lot more to see.
William P — Google review
This was lovely! Too cold for a swim but the staff were lovely and the trip was fab
Stephanie S — Google review
I was really looking forward to this sea exploring boat trip, but unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. One of the main attractions advertised was the chance to jump off the boat into the sea — a highlight we were excited about. However, we were only given 10 minutes for this activity. Since my partner and I have a child, we had to take turns. By the time we swapped, I was told I could no longer go in. It felt rushed and poorly managed. The boat itself was extremely overcrowded. There were so many people on board that it was difficult to even move around, let alone enjoy the experience comfortably. Another advertised feature was the glass-bottom viewing to see fish. In reality, there were no fish to be seen, and the boat was moving so fast (around 20mph) that all we could see was blurry water rushing past. It felt more like a gimmick than a genuine marine viewing experience. Overall, this trip felt like a waste of money. It was oversold and underdelivered. If you're looking for a relaxing, enjoyable sea experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
Alex M — Google review
We enjoyed our boat trip whilst in Majorca, didn’t get the boat ride we wanted which wasn’t the company’s fault ( taxi driver took us to the wrong place so we actually missed the tour we’d originally booked, we should have boarded at Cala Millor, not Cala Bona ) the company was lovely and let us on the boat still, not sure if there was a glass bottom. Hubby said he couldn’t see anything, we got a lovely picture memory though which is something we always like to get on holiday. For younger kids ( ours are 3 and 6 ) it’s quite boring. They wanted to get off after 40 minutes but the trip was 2.5 hours, it’s basically a stop at each place to let people on and off, then a swim stop for about ten minutes. But we’d still recommend, it’s just one of those things that once you’ve done it there’s no need to do again. And make sure if you get a taxi the driver understands where you want to go.
Danielle R — Google review
Recently went on the glass bottom boat tour and it was amazing, lovely staff, beautiful spots to look at and visit, 2 swim stops to swim in the ocean, loads of lovely people, definitely worth the trip, loads of places to take pictures, will definitely book again
Michaela — Google review
Our boat was moved to another port as short notice and limited communication. Once on board, we were taxied around without any announcement that the swim spots were cancelled and that we were now operating as a glorified water taxi. Even so, it was a slow service, waiting at the ports for nearly 15 mins each time. The journeys between were sickly and nauseating making for an overall horrible experience.

Karting Cala Millor

Go-karting venue
Karting Cala Millor is a thrilling go-kart destination located in the same area as Fantasy Park. Despite not being the largest track, it offers an enjoyable experience with well-maintained karts and a friendly staff. Visitors have praised the compact yet challenging circuit and highlighted the fun factor of racing on it. While some found the prices to be on the higher side, many agreed that the experience was worth it, especially when trying out specific go-kart models like 290rr.
We had two great visits to the karting last week, our first time in 'proper' karts. A lovely welcome, the owners are so friendly and safety was taken seriously with only one family or group on the track at a time. The track was great fun to drive with a twisty infield section. We all loved it and can't wait to go back!
Mike S — Google review
**Amazing go-kart center!** The staff is fantastic and ensures you have the best experience. It is pricey, but the karts and track are top-class. Don’t be fooled by the go-kart track inside the amusement park—this one is located behind it. We’ll definitely be back next holiday 🙏
Canusee1088 — Google review
We had a very enjoyable race on the go-karts. It has to be the best track in the area as it’s a good size, has parking, good facilities & friendly staff. Recommend a visit!

Definitely worth a visit! Me, wife, the 2 kids (9 and 5) had a great time at the track. Good little circuit, really friendly staff. Will visit again if in Majorca thank you! (I'll give the proper cart a go next time see if I can beat your son's record of 28 seconds)

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had, especially considering it is in a small resort on a small island in the Med! Reasonable prices and great variety to the menu. Would thoroughly recommend!
Calum R — Google review
By far the best dinner we had in the area. Above and beyond. Other places have good to even great food, but it’s mass-appeal. Terra has sophistication. The meals are thought-out and well composed. Ingredients are palpably well-sourced. Dishes are served with attention to detail. It’s no surprise that the owner and chef Enzo was trained and worked for many years in Paris. Remarkably, even the prices were comparatively cheap for the quality of food you’re getting. And did I mention it’s in an absolutely beautiful spot directly at the seaside, with a stunning tree casting shade? Don’t waste your time on other restaurants with mid food. Go to Terra. Favorite dishes: Pizza Cala Bona & Beef Solomillo
Moritz Z — Google review
Great restaurant right on the sea, delicious pizza with good selection of toppings and tasty dough, great and friendly service, food arrived quickly, lovely evening.
Matthew P — Google review
Had a lovely lunch here on the last day of our holiday. The pizzas are the best out of all the pizzerias in Cala Bona which is saying something because the others are great as well. This however was a cut above the rest. Wine was lovely and the setting, even on an overcast day, is fantastic. Terra has only been open for a few months but i can see them doing very well especially as it is reasonably priced.
Simon H — Google review
We stopped by hoping for a nice meal, but the experience didn’t quite hit the mark. The service was slow and a bit disengaged, and the cava sangria tasted more like Fanta than anything sparkling. €11 for that and a small beer felt a bit steep. In the end, we decided not to stay for food. A shame, as the place had potential.

Tapas restaurant
We had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurante la Oliva, which offered a delightful ambiance and top-notch service. The food was exceptional, surpassing any other meals we've had on our holiday. My spouse enjoyed the arancini, rice balls coated in batter, served with a delicious sweet chili jam dip. Meanwhile, I indulged in flavorful chicken skewers accompanied by rice chips and salad. The tenderly cooked chicken and homemade-style chips were particularly remarkable.
We called in for a quick nibble and were not disappointed. All the dishes were presented well and hot. We would definitely recommend going here. I particularly liked that the seats had covers on them - no marks on the back of my legs.
JE S — Google review
Awful! Stopped for a light lunch. We saw the tapas board menu out the front of the redturant and initially thought the prices looked ok for a light lunch. We were seated and given the tapas me u, a full menu and drinks menu. We ordered 4 tapas dishes to share. The food looked very basic and pale. We ordered prawns, Patatas bravas, chorizo and Bruschetta. None of which I would recommend. For our drinks we ordered a beer, a house white and bottled water. The wine tasted like vinegar. The waitress did not check on us and kept looking over at all the time. She heard me say how awful the wine was and offered no alternative. We asked for the bill which arrived and seemed some what expensive at 54.50 euros. When questioned about the pricing on the bill and rude man said he had ordered us larger versions as there was two of us. These prices were nearly double the prices on the boars. We never asked for "larger versions". No where did it state the prices on the board outside the resturant are for alternative sized portions. He simply said that's what he done an d thank you and walked off. Avoid at all costs. They are some much nicer restaurant's 5 minutes walk away and much more reasonably priced. The atmosphere, food and staff were awful!

We drop in here for lunch as we booked half board at a local hotel. The staff are friendly, hard working and welcoming. The food and drink are superb and reasonably priced for the location (This is a harbour front restaurant after all!). They have offers on around lunchtime, 5 tapas for 19euros. With drinks came to less then 30 euros for 2 people. The tapas is tasty, well spiced and fresh. Staff are attentive without being pushy. All in all a very nice place to eat with superb views
Michael B — Google review
We go to this restaurant with my family almost every year while on vacation, and every time we went, we ate very well. The people there are really polite, welcoming and kind and the food has always been so yummy. We're always very happy to go and more than satisfied with this restaurant.

Really glad we chose Oliva for lunch, it was the 5 tapas for €20 that influenced us and it was a great call. Service was really friendly and it has a great harbour location with lush views, we had bread/olives and aioli and 5 mixed tapas which were lush. The Spanish beef stew was amazing and the meatballs and padron peppers were so good, the Spanish omelette was a bit on the bland side but that was the only thing that wasn't great. Overall a cracking lunch in a great location with great service, happy days!
Si W — Google review
Was very disappointed! Food came well too quickly as if the it was sat there and I saw the waitress put some food in the microwave! Everything was overpriced for what it was and the nachos were cheap crisps with a bit of grated cheese slightly melted on top for €7. Definitely the worst place we ate during our stay. Please avoid!
Vanessa — Google review
Lovely meal in nice setting with great service. My wife and I visited this restaurant last night and the food is the best we have had so far this holiday. My wife had the arancini (battered rice balls) with a sweet chilli jam dip and I had the chicken skewers with rice chips and salad. The chicken was flavoursome and nicely cooked and the chips were amazing just like your gran used to cook! Fresh not frozen! It was hard stopping my wife from eating them all! We also had bread & ali oli and the bread was so soft & fresh.

Quite possibly the worst food I've had. Bland, unseasoned and unpleasant. A microwave meal would've been nicer. Friendly enough service. But €85 for a few ropey bits of tapas.

Unfortunately as we sat down we were told they dont do breakfast which is fine, was told they can do bacon/sausage babs etc. Asked if they have any eggs and was told only if it's on the menu which it was not, we settled for two bacon and sausage babs. Time went on, and on, and on! An hour after sitting down and ordering a very simple meal one of the babs arrived, a short time later another arrived missing it's sausage and was told it would be another few minutes. Eventually we got what we had ordered, im not sure if it was due to the hour long wait but the food was very average at best. The place didnt seem busy, there was one other table of 5 that had their food arrive as we sat down, only a couple of other meals had come out while we were waiting. The staff were lovely and friendly, possibly just a bad day in the kitchen?

Dropped on this little cafe by chance, a basic menu, but the food is simply delicious, the staff are chatty and friendly. But views are simply breathtaking

The Pirates Bay Club Cala Millor is a restaurant owned by three brothers who all work there. Despite a busy evening, the food arrived slightly late but was exceptionally tasty, with perfectly cooked fresh seafood. The atmosphere was pleasant, and customers have praised both the food and the service. Dishes such as dorada were described as salty and crispy in just the right way. The volcano cake served with ice cream was also enjoyed by patrons.
This place is amazing!!! We where served by Natalia and Sebastian (who where so attentive!) and the food was just out of this world! Strongly recommend the paella and grilled prawns with garlic, it was just perfect! A true must!

Come here for the people. Super nice servers, very happy and energetic. Even willing to humor requests from silly Americans; I asked for some sour cream with my fajita burrito (didn’t have it) and then for spicy tomato salsa (he brought me spicy pasta sauce 😆). It was good either way! Portion size was good and they are pretty much always open and welcoming. We enjoyed our food. I would recommend to make a jalapeño creme sauce to go with the fajitas, then it would be perfect!

Family owned which produces: Service of the highest standard. Food of the highest standard. Mojitos of the highest standard. Quite possibly the best ribs I've ever had, tender, fell off the bone with the most amazing glaze. High quality chicken nuggets which my daughter loved. The nachos would normally come with cheese. My son asked for them without. Very family friendly with a beautiful sea view. Pirates Bay Club is a must!

The place is owned by three brothers and all of them are working there. It was a busy evening, the food came with a bit of delay, but the taste was amazing, fresh sea food cooked perfect. It was a pleasant evening. [LE] I’ve come back to double check the food and the service. I might say that it was amazing. Dorada was salty and crispy exactly like dorada needs to be. The volcano cake was fine served with ice cream. At the end a limoncello is a must to finish another day. 3 new photos were added.

The best grilled Sepia I have ever eaten. I waited a bit until it was served, but it was worth it. The photo is taken after I ate a little from the plate 😂. The restaurant is on the beach promenade, the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. It belongs to 3 brothers, the middle one is the Chef. They are doing a great job there! Totally recommended!

The Restraunt looks good. So we tried it. We ordered seafood paella and hamburger. We we're very disappointed. Seafood Paella's price 19.50 Euro. That was oversalted, and I found maybe 4 pieces of small shrimp and a few calamaries pieces. Check the picture... Hamburger's buns were very crispy and dry. Meat patty was like the cooked meat. Nothing taste. When we finished, a man came out. He said the chef is not there, and he makes the food. Please don't make again !🤣
