Located adjacent to Clonmel Town Centre, the Showgrounds Shopping Centre is a prestigious retail development offering an extensive range of premier retailers and brands. With a strong focus on fashion, it features anchor tenants like Marks and Spencer, TK Maxx, and Argos Extra. The center provides a great shopping experience with ample parking facilities and a variety of shops all under one roof. Although some areas are currently unoccupied, it remains a popular destination for weekend shopping and leisurely outings.
Fantastic gig by the band Zrazy at the Vincent Hanley Summer School in the Clonmel Junction Arts Festival. Great audience, excellent all round. What a cool festival.
Maria W — Google review
Nice shopping centre with great parking facilities however its crying out for a few new shops, too many empty units. But the ones that are there are good.
Vincent B — Google review
Very sad to see the shops closed down. I use to love shopping here with the small clothes shops but unfortunately there aren't many left. Beauty shop has gone, No Name and Only are all gone along with Iceland. Need to get a few shops back in before the centre declines.
Moon S — Google review
Staff in m and s cafe very rude. I asked for my little cake to be heated for 10 seconds. Was told we don't heat them. My friend asked for her scone to be heated. They don't heat them either?? While being served by one girl interrupting her lifting up all the cake platters. Not a smile or a thank u.
JOYCE D — Google review
This is the only shopping center that you can find in Clonmel. It is okay, you have plenty of parking downstairs and upstairs, downstairs is always packed with upstairs being empty. The shopping center is in need of new shops, after many of them, including big brands like Argos and Iceland have closed up. There is a new show which has opened but there is still a lack of, and the shopping center often seems to be quiet, even during times when you expect it to be busy. There are 2 cafes here, BBs and Costa, of which Costa is better. You have pharmacies and the only 2 big shops here are Marks & Spencer and TK Maxx. There isn't much to come here other than the 2 big shops, if you don't want to go to them then you are out of luck really.
Justin O — Google review
Nice small shopping centre to stroll around. Has a lovely TK Maxx and a small Marks And Spencer
Catriona H — Google review
Lots of empty units and not much in the occupied ones. Got most of what we needed but quiet disappointing.

Clonmel Greyhound Stadium offers a unique and exciting experience for families and groups. It provides a cozy and homely seating area, delicious food, and a friendly bar. The stadium has the feel of a local pub with the added thrill of greyhound racing. Visitors can enjoy placing bets with the bookie inside while savoring full dinners or fast food.
Great place for a night out, whether it’s with a huge group or a couple of friends. A night to remember for sure. Seating area is cosy and homely, food always tastes great and the bar is lovely. All staff are friendly and the locals are great fun to talk with

This stadium has the feel of a local pub with the excitement of Greyhound racing! There was even a bookie inside by the bar taking bets with the old school cash bag. They serve full dinners, fast food, and have excellent service.

Hadn't been to the dog racing in 37 years but went recently for a benefit night. It was a great experience after so many years away. Great facilities, bar and tote betting available. A most enjoyable night out for small money.
Diarmuid H — Google review
Great night kids allowed so fab food amazing staff friendly
Sharon C — Google review
Attended here for a couple of work night outs and a fundraiser for a local charity. It is small in comparison to the bigger stadia in the likes of Limerick Cork and Dublin but it is actually a very nice place for a group night out. None of us knew anything about dogs and that made it all the better as trying to interpret the form guide was a source of great debate and competition. I wouldn't go there individually or with just 2 or 3 people unless you are into Greyhound racing but if you have a large group then it makes for a good night out.

Great night and delicious food enjoyed a little flutter but picked the losing dogs well worth a visit

The main pool and kids' pool provide a relaxing experience, with changing rooms and lockers available for convenience. The facility is well-maintained, with safety-conscious staff ensuring a pleasant swimming experience. Visitors appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the efficient management of the pool, making it an ideal place to swim in Clonmel.
Amazing Staff! I bring my elderly father here and the care is outstanding – wheelchair & hoist always ready, gentle help in/out, even a noodle so he can float. Huge thanks to Ciaran, Alicia & all of the wonderful team. You guys make every visit an absolute joy!!

Probably the rudest lifeguard i ever came across. There's instructions and there's just plane rudeness. She should really work in a back office away from people. facilities were good
Colman G — Google review
The swimming pool is good. However, the tiled walls throughout the facility appear unclean, which takes away from the overall comfort and atmosphere. 🏊‍♀️🩱🤿

Very poor experience, I attended last Tuesday for the first time with my autistic son, he enjoyed the pool however we went to the family changing rooms to shower afterwards, I left my son in the shower while I dressed myself in the cubicle across from him eyes on him at all time's. He was happy out, a blonde lady came in twice in a few minutes and the second time asked me to dress my son as he was causing a flood she said people usually pop in and pop out of the showers, she starting brushing water down a drain, definitely not a flood. I told her once I'm dressed I will sort my child as I couldn't do both and until then he was fine. We were the only people in the changing area at the time and my child was in a shower that could accommodate for 4 people. Never experience this before. Will never return.
April R — Google review
The weights area is very small and lacks proper bench press facilities. No gym instructors in the gym area at all and all. You have to go to reception for a gym instructor but they are very busy with a very busy public pool. Getting help with the equipment mid workout is impossible. Even though one doesn't go to the gym to watch TV the TVs in the aerobic room were off during the olympics which I found to be super motivational to be watching when working out or dong a long cardio session. The staff are great and very helpful but would appear not enough instructors to cover the gym area.
John C — Google review
Nice spot. The kid's pool is nice and big, also good and warm. Big pool is good. Very attentive lifeguards. Dressing rooms clean and roomy.
Emma H — Google review
Lovely. Kids pool like a warm bath and the main pool was clean and it wasn't too busy when we got there. Changing rooms were good, lockers provided but you needed a padlock to lock it, usually public changing would offer a euro coin type like. Anyway, our belongings were untouched and we left with two tired and happy kids.
Kev S — Google review
Great facilities and staff, reasonable rates. The sauna is a highlight - temperatures of 90°C+ in a large room with 3 levels of benches.

Clonmel Racecourse is a charming rural racecourse in Ireland, known for its picturesque surroundings and great facilities. The racecourse has seen significant improvements, including the addition of a marquee in the betting ring area and a well-placed big screen near the stand for optimal viewing of the races. Visitors can enjoy close-up views of the races on soft ground days, thanks to improved tarmac down to the second last hurdle.
Went to Agricultural show, had an amazing time. Loved the animals and all the tents with things to buy. Also lots of food and ice cream vans . So much for children to do,all in all a really enjoyable day. We'll worth a visit next year if you missed this year. Farmers work so hard its a 24 hour job, good to support their efforts. To see the very young showing their cattle and such was so heartwarming. Then the youth up and coming and so upto date with all the new ideas that help our world and try to make it better.

Lovely day at the Clonmel race's on clonmel oil day, weather wise the day turned out good, but some one had the foresight to erect a marquee in the betting ring area if the weather was inclement. Also the big screen was well placed near the stand which meant you could get a good view of the horses on the back straight . Catering was well placed and very adequate for an enjoyable day at the races.

St. Patrick's Well is a serene and well-maintained site located in a sheltered valley near Clonmel, County Tipperary. According to legend, it was where St. Patrick and St. Declan first met over 1,600 years ago. The picturesque setting has been revered for centuries and is believed to be the place where St. Patrick converted the King of Munster to Christianity.
No picture can truly explain the feeling of peace and tranquility you experience when you stand in awe of the beautiful surroundings. The caretaker eagerly shared the history with us, making our trip so special. Will definitely be visiting again
Bernedette C — Google review
My review is effected due to the day of my visit as it was packed with school children doing what school children do and running into and out of every photo. Anyway, the location has much to admire and the old church and pond contrast each other. The statue is interesting with a lovely step entrance. I had no problem with parking and on another day I may just have had it all to myself, but on the plus side it was great to see children enjoying a site like this, it took ages to remove them all from the photos, cheers

What a amazing peaceful spiritual healing place... Met the lovely David who guided us through the pilgrim.. Sit with feet in water 20 mins then walk out to cross & around it 3 time clockwise for your intentions.. If you suffer with feet bring flip flop or light sandal. Beautiful place, donations box on site.. Horse in field beside can nip you so warning for all 😁... ❤️ 🇮🇪

Just a lovely peaceful place. But short to walk around . Worth a visit. Beautiful village nearby. Marl field with a super lake walk.
Peter J — Google review
This place turned out to be a real hidden gem — a quiet, almost mystical corner near Clonmel, where you can truly feel the spirit of ancient Ireland. Walking down the steps into the valley felt like stepping back in time. In the middle of the crystal-clear spring stands an old stone cross, surrounded by the ruins of a small church and lush greenery. Legend says St. Patrick met St. Declan here, and the waters of the well are said to have healing powers. The whole place radiates peace — the sound of flowing water, the silence, and the sense that generations before you came here to pray and reflect. It’s one of those places where you simply stop, breathe deeply, and feel how special Ireland truly is.
Oksana O — Google review
We happened upon visiting this place, being referred to going by a local. I highly recommend pairing going with visiting Rock of Cashel as they intertwine. If you spot the local caretaker, Dave, on site, ask us he'll share his knowledge of the site. Dave really added to our experience. Finally, be sure to take off your shoes and walk out to cross. Circle it 3 times clockwise, then say a prayer. St. Patrick will head your plea. You can drink the water from the well. Kneel at the spring and let it flow into your water bottle. It is naturally clean due to the limestone.

Carey's Castle is a hidden gem nestled in the woods near Clonmel, offering a picturesque ruin by the river with ample space for a leisurely picnic. Visitors can enjoy an approximately 1 km circular path through the forest leading to the castle and along a tranquil stream back to the parking area. The off-the-beaten-track location provides an escape from city life, allowing for a peaceful and romantic stroll amidst nature's soothing sounds.
A stunning location with a fantastic castle, there are lovely walks and a beautiful river running along side the castle. It has excellent parking and the grounds were clean, tidy and well kept. The fact you can access the castle interior is great and photographing it from all angles is a pleasure, I loved it you will too, enjoy
Michael G — Google review
Lovely walk through the forest, along the river and then the castle. Great picnic spot. When you are in the car park take the road where there is a gate preventing cars for the quick route to the castle. The bigger road on the right will take you on a loop through the forest, along the river and to the castle but it much longer.
Robert — Google review
It is a small, pretty castle with a tower on the river bank, surrounded by forest. Initially we went to it along the right bank of the river, but then we returned and, having crossed the bridge, we came out onto the left bank and reached the castle.

Tomislava V — Google review
Lovely walk and old house (castle) with a stream on one side. Free parking, free walking and everyone we met was friendly - some even told us about the history of the house. Apparently it was originally a large house, later fortified, and at one point home to the very unpopular Hanging Judge.
K P — Google review
This place is a real treasure and people should preserve it! A very nice walk along the river and around the Castle brings you a relaxing feeling and pace of mind! We walked from Clonmel up there, around 5km one way and totally worth it!
Ana C — Google review
This beautiful place is hidden away down a country trail 10-15min walk from the carpark. When you get to the Castle can hear the stream along with the sound of nature and nothing else. Which is really nice if you are wanting to get away from city life. The walk to and from the castle is really relaxing and great for a romantic stroll.

Shake Dog is located in a bustling shopping center that offers a wide range of stores and dining options. The diner serves delicious meals, including breakfast and burgers, with generous portions at great value. Visitors can also enjoy milkshakes, but some have found them to be lacking in flavor and thickness on occasion. Despite this, the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere make it a recommended spot for families looking to dine out.

The staff are what make it Subsequent to excellent value on their meal deals (particularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) the food is very tasty. I love their peanut and chocolate milkshake. But the staff are always very friendly. I notice one lady, who as well as been very obliging and friendly, always hops in and cleans up each table the moment it is vacated. She does an excellent job - I had to ask her name, it's Emma.

Got a burger deal for 17.99 When I went to till I was charged 21 euros. For a burger small portion of chips and a drink it seemed a bit much for me. It was tasty but the price was off the scale. Really disappointing
Avril W — Google review
As an university student, shake Dog has a casual feel to it which is a great place to catch up with friends! The interior of the place really amplifies the theme of an American Diner along with the background tunes. We initially went in to have some milkshakes on a sunny afternoon, but stayed for the food as they sounded delicious and mouth watering on the menu. I suggest going for the 10 euro meal deal if you have an appetite like me, which is worth every cent and leaves your cravings satisfied. I recommend the Piri-Piri Chicken burger for anyone who likes a bit of kick or zing to their meals. The staff took orderly precautions given the situation and were friendly throughout. Overall a great experience.

We had an excellent experience in Bodega celebrating our wedding anniversary. The venue itself is stunning, inside and out, the live music sets a lovely atmosphere. We were sitting outside and when booking I was a bit apprehensive about this as it's October but it was warm, cosy and sheltered from the elements. We ordered tapas from the vegan selection which had a good choice of options. The food was top notch, beautifully presented and delicious! Our dishes included vegan nachos, aubergine tempura, beetroot and pear salad, patatas bravas, a sweet pepper dish and a pumpkin dish, all were really tasty. Also the pinot grigio we would recommend 👌

Supermac's & Papa John's in Clonmel is a vibrant fast-food destination that serves up a delightful array of American-style burgers, chicken, fish, and sandwiches. The spacious restaurant boasts ample seating and a large parking area, making it easily accessible right next to Tesco and Euro Giant. Diners can expect fresh ingredients and generous portions at reasonable prices; however, some have noted occasional inconsistencies with seasoning.
Always friendly, polite and efficient service here. The food is cooked fresh and portions are good. Great choices, from fried chicken, fish, wraps, pizza, subs etc. Lots of seating. Clean tidy environment. 5 stars from me.
Barry M — Google review
Was here last Sunday and the place was very messy, no clean tables, drinks spilled on tables and floors aswell as alot of food on the floors, no one cleaning! I stupidly went back today, Sunday September 14th at 7pm, got a 12inch pizza with 4 toppings, Chicken breast sandwich meal with taco fries, 2 drinks €40!! I went to use the bathroom, OMG, I was disgusted, couldn't use them from being blocked, urine on the floor, broken seats and just dirty looking, not forgetting the mould on the sinks! So I used the disabled bathroom, it was ok but then the toilet didn't flush properly, 8 times I had to try flush so it was presentable for the next person! I spoke to the manager who really didn't seem to care and told me there was toilets upstairs! I won't be back here! I have gone to the Supermacs on the Cork Road, Waterford and its in great condition, look well inside and out with extremely clean toilets, very disappointed with the Clonmel branch!
Claire R — Google review
What the actual hell is this, half the topping not even cooked on the pizza, absolutely slapped together and cheese just in random places
Lauren M — Google review
The particular supermacs was exceptionally good the staff were friendly and had a smile on the face the service was also super fast and good and took about 10 minutes maybe less to recieve a burger and chips. The food itself was phenomenal way better than other fast food chains. They were very well priced and u sure do get your moneys worth, we ordered a chicken breast bacon meal and a 5 oz beef burger meal and totaled to around €24.50 which was quite good for this economy. The burger itself was huge and well seasoned with a side of real potato chips which were perfect. Definitely suggest going here if you want fast food that doesnt rip you off
Gianluca F — Google review
I drive in this evening and that’s the chips I got. Less than usual, overcooked, unfresh, a lot of scraps, not crispy and hard to bite.
7 J — Google review
Usually great spot for food, however; my girlfriend ordered food on Thursday which took over 2 hours to arrive, and the chips were cold and the wrap lukewarm upon arrival and they also forgot a part of the order. Absolutely shocking. Usually would have blamed JustEat but this was on their website so no excuse. Supermac’s? More like POOPERMacs in this case. Get it together.

Food is above average. I've tried Supermac's food multiple times from here. Most of the time, it's good. But a few times the chicken felt a bit too salty. Haven't tried Papa John's from this location yet, so can't comment on that. Washrooms are clean and well maintained. Overall, it's an ok-ok place. Good for a quick bite, especially if you're around Tesco.

The Talbot Hotel Clonmel is a modern hotel that offers basic rooms with free Wi-Fi, meeting space, a pool, a gym, and a spa. The newly refurbished Wheat Bar provides an exceptional afternoon tea experience with beautiful decor and attentive service. Guests have praised the delicious food served by friendly staff in the clean restaurant area. While the restaurant may feel basic in appearance, it offers a reasonable menu and friendly service. The alternative bar is undergoing renovation to potentially enhance the dining and drinking experience.
Really nice stay. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Location was handy, not far off the M8. Kids enjoyed the pool. Dinner was really good. We had a family room for 4 which was good, except to make it a family room they just had added a fold out bed to a normal room, so it was a bit cramped and not as comfortable as we would have liked for the 4 of us, particularly for the price we paid. (But the kids really appreciated the treat bags). Other than that, we could not fault the hotel.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Bar and restaurant was beautiful. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and delicious dinners, only suggestion would be if there were more options for vegetarian.

From the minute we walked in we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. She was so friendly and helpful. We were made feel very welcome and everything was explained to us. The rooms were lovely and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a meal in the wheat bar and restaurant. The food was exceptional and the staff were so attentive. We really couldn't have asked for better. They have lots of entertainment also which was great. We all enjoyed the pool and facilities. We will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful stay at the Talbot Hotel Clonmel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made the experience exceptional. Megan at reception was outstanding—warm, welcoming, and incredibly efficient. She made check-in seamless and set a positive tone for the stay. A special thanks as well to Michael and Angelika, who were both very helpful and attentive throughout my visit. Their professionalism and friendliness didn’t go unnoticed. Highly recommend this hotel not only for its facilities but especially for the fantastic staff who truly go above and beyond.

The Main Guard in Clonmel offers a captivating look into the town's history. Built in the late 17th century by James Butler, Duke of Ormonde, it served as the courthouse for the Palatinate of County Tipperary. Over time, it underwent changes such as conversion of its ground floor into shops and addition of extra floors. This historical landmark played a significant role during the Palatinate era and now stands as a fine monument from that period.
Beautiful building tastefully restored. Lovely for an oasis of calm in the middlw if the busiest street. Lovely exhibitions. Recently has become an intimate venue for amazing music performances as part of Finding a Voice festival of music showcasing female composers.

White Memorial theatre

Movie theater
The White Memorial Theatre in Clonmel is a charming and old venue that hosts various shows throughout the year, including performances by the Stagecraft Youth Theatre group. The theatre has a quaint and classic front, but it is in need of an upgrade to revitalize the space. Despite its dated appearance, visitors appreciate the warm staff and the heartwarming atmosphere. The theatre's unique setting with interesting decor on its walls adds to its appeal as a local venue for arts and entertainment.
What a great show and great night well done to everyone involved especially my grand daughter 😀 😊 ❤️
Robbie F — Google review
Went to see a show that my niece was in recently. The show was great and all the staff were lovely too. The White Memorial Theatre needs an upgrade though. It is very very dated but it has a massive heart. The County council and Arts council and the theatre's management need to come together and revitalise the place. Clonmel needs it!!
Vinny P — Google review
This venue is a piece of Clonmel history and the performance of Evita was a superb performannce. The theatre however is very small and all seats are too tightly packed. Made for kids!. Not an experience for the feint hearted or anyone with limited mobility. Had to stand out for the second half due to cramped seating and backpain.
Gerard B — Google review
This theatre is in dire need of an upgrade. The chairs are like buckets....difficult to get out of. There is no legroom whatsoever, which makes for an uncomfortable experience for anyone over 5" 3. It is cold and unkempt. Only that the performances are of such a high standard, one would not recommend
Loraine K — Google review
Went to see Little Shop of Horrors. It was brilliant 👏 . We thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a small and very old but charming theatre, very much out of the way with a beautiful and classy front. And the music society put on a great show. Go see one if you can and support the local arts!
Mike G — Google review
Great theatre but getting dated, seats quite restricted and needing new padding.
Ann T — Google review
Interesting and old venue. The theatre area doesn't have banked seats and are old so don't allow you to stretch out that well, and view of stage can be limited by those in front. However, it's a wonderful secluded venue with a lot of interest on the walls and should be used well to remain a local venue.

Fantastic place for a show and situated near enough to two car parks so should have no issue with parking. Centre of town and pubs also close by for a quick refreshment before or after.

Just a fantastic B&B. 3 of us got 3 single bedrooms with a shared bathroom. It was all in one corridor and it was like having our own wing of the house! The owners could not do enough for us either. We were given a lift to a hotel at which we were attending a wedding on the first night which was fantastic, just amazing hospitality. Then the breakfast was fantastic. The normal cereals were available but also fresh fruit and yoghurts etc. And then the cooked breakfasts were perfect and exactly what we all needed! Lastly, the location is central yet still quiet so it's perfect for attending anything that's happening in Clonmel while still being able to get a great night's sleep. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A friend recommended the restaurant for girls evening out. And I highly recommend to anyone to try it out. Well balanced flavours, portion sizes are great. Irish pub
Phil Carrolls Bar in Clonmel is a charming and rustic pub that offers an excellent pint, especially for Guinness enthusiasts. The decor has remained unchanged for decades, giving the place a timeless feel. The walls are adorned with fascinating treasures, creating a cozy and quirky atmosphere. The friendly and efficient staff contribute to the welcoming vibe of this establishment. With no TV, the bar encourages good old-fashioned conversation, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed Friday evening.
If you want to enjoy a genuine old style pub in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, then this is the place. No fancy seating, the pub is narrow in places but has a lot of hidden seating areas for customers to sit and enjoy a drink. Staff are brilliant, you won't be left standing at the bar. Your seating could be an old stool while sitting at an old singer sewing machine. Make sure when in Clonmel to pay a visit. You won't be disappointed.

We arrived at the restaurant and were shown to our table. After a while, a waitress came and took our drink order. We saw food on the table next to us and asked what it was. So, we told the waitress that we'd like to order eight pieces of sushi and that we'd decide what to eat later. She said, "Why don't you order everything at once?" I explained to her that we'd order the sushi first, and if we were hungry, we'd order another dish. ENGLISH HERE IN THIS RESTAURANT IS A HUGE BARRIER. Then, she told us a second time that we'd have to order the dishes all at once. We explained again that we wouldn't do that. Then, she insisted a third time. We were already extremely irritated by her insistence. She seemed to be having a bad day and even took a deep breath in front of us. We explained to her that we wouldn't do that and that we could order more whenever we wanted. We were trying to be polite. Then they started speaking in their own language, which I didn't understand. Anyway, we ordered the food. The main courses were tasteless, and in the end, it wasn't worth it. Train your staff a little more. I won't be back, and I don't recommend it to anyone.

The prices are also very reasonable for the amount of food you get and you can always ask for a to-go box. Service is also very quick and I've never been disappointed in here. Absolutely love them ☺️

my first time here was very positive! The staff were lovely and I personally really loved the decor of the restaurant. It's not too big of a place but I enjoyed the coziness. There wasn't much of a wait either as the food came quickly

We were staying in Cahir but felt uninspired by the offering so came to Clonmel for dinner. This was one of the few places open on a Monday but we would come back any night of the week. The food was incredible - all home made - and the staff delightful! Plenty of veggie options.

Very tasty food and family like atmosphere! The staff is very receptive and good mannered. Worth all the money!

Bodies of Water
Marlfield Lake is a popular spot for nature enthusiasts, as it hosts a variety of waterbirds such as swans, mallard ducks, coots, and herons. The lake was established in the late 18th century by landowner Stephen Moore and was once used to power local mills. Today, it serves as a wildfowl conservancy and offers visitors the opportunity to observe birds in their natural habitat.
Really good place to go for a walk. If you have children, this is a great place to visit. Stand at the viewing point and feed the ducks, not not with bread as the sign on the lake says. The children can do a bit of exploring on the hillside, see the birds in their natural habitat feeding from the well positioned feed tables. If you are energetic, a walk south into the village of Marlfield or along the drive to the "big house" of Marlfield and see how the other half lived. A really great afternoon can be spent here only three kms from Clonmel town centre. Well within your 5km allowance.
Diarmuid H — Google review
A lovely location to relax and enjoy the sound of the wildlife on the lake. It has good parking and a pleasant small walk along the river, there are tables to eat and enjoy refreshments and the children will enjoy feeding the ducks, cheers
Michael G — Google review
Absolutely unique place! Recommended..
Olena B — Google review
Lovely place to visit at any time of day but my personal favourite time is early morning. Lots of ducks there to feed plus some swans and other water birds. There's a nice walk around marlfield and benches for picnics. Very child friendly but be careful nevertheless, as its on the side of the road.
Mags — Google review
Stunning lake to take kids too the ducks and swans can always be seen by kids beautiful walk way too with picnic benches fab spot love it
AINE H — Google review
There was a beautiful lake with ducks and swans, but the children were scared by a pack of five rats
Oleh Z — Google review
This is a beautiful and scenic area, ideal for all ages. There are only 2 problems I've noticed, and neither are to do with the lake: 1. Cars driving through often go way too fast to be safe for walkers. Please slow down, it only adds a few seconds 2. Despite the signs, people still give bread to the ducks and swans. This is dangerous to them, and there are better options to give our lovely wildlife

Tip museum is interesting, clean, quiet and educational. its a great amenity to Clonmel, one of the few good ones, really nice staff too. The recent John D. Kelly exhibit was a good one, amazing works, in nice displays that really make the works stand out. Top tier attraction that id recommend to anyone.
Ben L — Google review
I had paid a visit to the museum a few weeks ago as a part of one of my modules for college, I had really enjoyed walking through here and there had been a lot of eye catching displays. I had a lot of interest in was the old toys and clothes. I liked these ones the most as I find it really interesting to see how life was lived years ago. I would highly recommend visiting this museum if you are in the area.
Asher — Google review
I paid a visit to this museum as a part of a college day trip, and needless to say it was a truly remarkable experience. Upon entering, I mentally noted how well-structured the museum was, making it easy to follow without it becoming obviously distracting, which added a sense of natural flow to the whole walkthrough. Personally, the constructed sets were my favorite part of the museum, as I found them deeply immersive. Antique technology, old furniture, it felt as though we were stepping backwards in time, and for a historical museum, it added an additional layer of depth. I also enjoyed the narrative storytelling, which was portrayed through the combination of displayed items and written plaques.
Tia O — Google review
Paid a visit to the museum as part of a module for college and thoroughly enjoyed walking around and taking in the artefacts on display. The exhibits were varied in their presentation, including some that were interactive. Pictures don’t do it justice, a bunch of fascinating historic objects on display that you have to see in person. Would recommend for anyone with an interest in the history of the local area.
Ava S — Google review
I went to see the John D Kelly exhibit of his work over the last 40 years, it was a great display of old and new generations being photographed as well as items and keepsakes from throughout the ages. I liked that there were some interactive pieces to the exhibit so I felt more involved in the experience. Both the facility and the staff were lovely and quite accessible.
Luner L — Google review
We visited the hidden museum as part of a college module, mostly focused on the Visual Emotion exhibit by John D. Kelly. The interactive display for the photography exhibit was full of interesting pieces that gave a good look into life and community, along with other interactive pieces through the museum like a clothing display and informative item displays varying from everyday utilities to weaponry. Overall did not disappoint and was absolutely worth the visit, would definitely recommend to anyone interested in local history.
Sarah M — Google review
Fascinating photo exhibition of John D. Kelly’s work over the last 40 years, “Visual Emotion.” The display documents the highest of highs, featuring winning matches across the years, to the dire times of the Covid-19 pandemic, while exploring the habitual and mundane lives of Clonmel’s citizens. A particular quote written below the display caught my attention, “we take pictures to stop time.” In an era that’s advancing so fast, so caught up in innovations and inventions, it can feel as though time is blurring by. These historical photos, displayed in a modern fashion through projectors and TV screens, combine past and present in a wonderful exhibition, which captured my attention throughout.

Park
Nestled along Waterford Road, Mulcahy Park is a delightful destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. This expansive park features a contemporary playground that promises hours of fun for children of all ages. Open year-round, it’s conveniently located just a short five-minute drive from the hotel, making it an ideal spot to unwind or enjoy some quality time outdoors without any cost involved.
This park is perfect for babies – the playground equipment is great and in good condition. But be careful when letting children roam outside the play areas, as some dog owners don’t pick up after their pets. The lack of common sense is noticeable.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Crazy Noodles! This charming eatery has garnered rave reviews for its fresh and flavorful chicken noodles, served in generous portions that cater to all appetites. The staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, making every visit feel welcoming. Many patrons return time and again, often bringing home delicious noodles to enjoy later. With a menu featuring an array of meats and sauces, there's something for everyone here.
I visited Crazy Noodles because of a recommendation and I was not disappointed. The food was fresh and of excellent quality and the staff member that served me was courteous, helpful and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Bathrooms were immaculately clean. I will definitely visit here again.

The kids enjoy Crazy Noodles but I visit to learn the ingredients list so we can stir fry at home. The Lavazza is €2 per cup and that is what many local places offer too. But the best cheap coffee is a mile uphill at the Cashel Road Roundabout.
Topgold — Google review
Have never had any problems with the restaurant. They do freshly made fried noodles served in a box. With a choice of meats and sauces. They have a menu on just eat, and the delivery can be a bit slow on the busy weekend nights. Which is understandable.

Love this place!. We visit friends in Tipperary a few times a year. It's the first place we stop at in Clonmel when we arrive and we also always stop in on our way home and bring noodles back to Dublin with us to enjoy when we get arrive back. Can't recommend this place enough. Cheap and delicious!

Food is so good. Staff is very friendly. The shop deserves more attention as it's nearly always quiet. The sizes of the boxes are great and can go from a regular size to extra large for when you're really hungry.

Bar & grill
Coopers is a popular spot for both adults and kids, offering delicious food and friendly service. Despite some negative reviews, many visitors find the restaurant welcoming and inviting. The menu features high-quality food with generous portions, complemented by fantastic cocktails. While some guests found the seating area slightly warm and crowded, they still enjoyed their experience and plan to return in the future.
I’ve been reading some of the previous reviews about this restaurant, and one of them said “regular Irish county pub” “dark and dirty”,.. now this isn’t fair or right, and frankly has more than an undertone of racism. Myself and my family regularly visit this business, to eat and to drink. And I’ve always found it welcoming and inviting. It is not dark, nor is it dirty! It is perfectly fine, the food here is very good and they have a fine menu, I recommend the “bucket of bones”! There is a very good child’s play area to the rear of the pub, and a very nice restaurant is also located on the rear of the pub, I always sit in the pub as the TVs and bar are in close proximity. There is also a nice size car park. I highly recommend this bar and restaurant.
Dani C — Google review
Food was lovely, staff were very friendly and service was quick and efficient, sat at restaurant area and only thing was it was too warm and we were seated in middle of floor and surrounded by people so I felt slightly claustrophobic, would definitely go back but would prefer to sit at bar area next time 😊

The cocktails and food are soo delicious and the staff are great as well. I forgot to take a picture of their cocktail menu, but there's a great selection.

Went for a Thursday dinner with a friend, after calling to see if the restaurant was open. Arrived only to be the informed that restaurant area would not be opened and we can order in the bar. Not impressed at all by the welcoming, nor the menu. Previous time we were in some of the food was not up to a good level too (the ribs), but we thought to give it another chance.

Cafe
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Clonmel, The Junction Cafe is a delightful themed licensed cafe and ice cream parlour that promises a unique dining experience. Open daily from 9 am, it serves breakfast all day long, making it an ideal spot for early risers or late brunch enthusiasts. With captivating themes ranging from Harry Potter to rock music and jungle vibes, this cafe offers an extensive menu that caters to diverse palates.
The Junction, Clonmel – A Breakfast Worth Getting Out of Bed For The Junction gets one thing very right: it cooks like it cares. The egg arrived with whites just set and a yolk made for dipping toast—not the sad, overcooked puck you find too often on steam tables. The black and white pudding were standouts—rich, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with respect. Sliced potatoes hit the sweet spot too: crisp edges, soft centres, and full of flavour. The plate came together beautifully, with each element pulling its weight. And the coffee? Strong, no-nonsense, and served in a mug that felt like it meant business. Add excellent service and a room with just the right amount of bustle, and you’ve got a place that makes the Full Irish feel like more than a fry-up. The Junction doesn’t just fill you up. It wins you over.

Everything we had here was lovely! Is always quite busy so expect to wait for a table and for your food. We were left waiting a while for food but the food was very nice. Food is reasonably priced.

Lovely spot for coeliacs. I had a delicious gluten free toasted sandwich with chips. The chips are fried in a separate fryer and they use a separate toaster also. The menu is clear regarding options and the staff were happy to answer the questions I had re cross contact. Super cool decor, especially if you're a Harry Potter fan!

We ordered a Chicken Breast burger that on the display was a breast but instead we got 2 very mini processed chicken burgers not the breast and not much taste. On the menu it said it is served with cubed potatoes but when I ordered she said it wasn't but did not say why and gave a few crisps instead. Saying all that the staff were friendly but we would not be in a hurry to return.
Karen G — Google review
The adult dishes were great. The ribs were phenomenal. The sweet chili chicken wraps were good. They had several gluten-free options. I received the sweet chili chicken sandwich on GF bread. Absolutely loved the sweet potato fries. The staff were all really nice. The problem was the kid's pizza. My kids LOVE pizza, but none of them enjoyed this. It reminded me of the €1 ones you get at Aldi. They clearly are pre-made frozen.
Claire N — Google review
Fantastic atmosphere, plenty to choose from on the menu. The different themes in each part of the restaurant make each visit just a bit more unique than the last. Dessert menu is tempting but be aware the portions are big. Highly recommended. Only downside is that it can get quite busy so you might be left waiting outside for a while.

The restaurant has garnered praise from international visitors who have found the food to be delicious and unparalleled. With a pleasant view of The Main Guard, it promises a positive dining experience for anyone who appreciates Irish cuisine as well.
👏 Amazing food, best India i have ever tasted. We had the special menu, €46 for 2 starters 2 Mains and 2 half pints/2 glasses of wine. Onion Bajis and Chicken pakura to start and its was stunning followed by Chicken Korma for me and Beef Rogan josh for my hubby, he said the beef was so lean and so tender and his meal was delicious. My Korma was just fabulous. The staff were lovely, and the service was very efficient, no waiting around. One of the waiters talked us through the ingredients in the complementary sauces and was wonderfully friendly and polite. The empty plates in the picture says it all, the food looked and smelled so good we forgot to take a picture Will definitely be coming back.
