Linvilla Orchards is a farm store that offers U-pick apples and pumpkins, along with seasonal local produce and baked goods. It makes for a great day trip as there are plenty of activities to keep visitors entertained, such as playgrounds, fruit picking, a zoo-like area featuring various animals like fancy chickens and goats. Additionally, it has an outdoor food court selling carnival foods and beverages including beer for those interested in grabbing a drink.
We went for Apple 🍎 picking last year and this year went for strawberries 🍓 picking in May. We got cherries 🍒 too. The strawberry farm is a bit far so they take you on hayride which adds to the fun. The apple farm is nearby so you can just walk. In the fall it becomes Pumpkin patch and looks awesome. Overall great place for kids and adults both.

As its popularity has grown, so has its touristic appeal to locals and visitors alike. It’s home down feel, will bring nostalgia to those like me who visited this place in the 70’s. New well refined layout of the farm along with well labeled signs will get you to where you need to go whether it’s picking your own fruit or taking a break and grabbing some food in the grill area. As you can expect, prices have risen across the board. See photos as pictures and video are from July 26, 2025.
Jason D — Google review
Linvilla Orchards is a fun place overall, but there are definitely things they could improve. The signs are super confusing, especially in the parking lot. It would be so much better if they had clearer directions for finding the PYO area. On the plus side, the ticket price is very reasonable—just $11 before tax, and it even comes with a free bag for the apples. They also offer tons of activities, which makes it a great outing for families. The gift shop and market are nice, but honestly, the prices feel pretty steep. My biggest gripe though is the bathrooms—or lack of them. Having only porta-potties is disappointing. Maybe they do have proper restrooms somewhere, but if so, they’re hard to find, which is frustrating. All in all, it’s a fun destination, but some better signage, more reasonably priced shopping, and proper bathrooms would make the experience so much better.

I love going to Linvilla! There is always fun things to do with the family. Tad overpriced, but great place to go for rare seasonal home decor. Lots of options for plants. Preorder your cakes here, they’re amazing! The chocolate fantasy cake with NY cheesecake inside is delicious! Their bakery is just the best! 💕

This place is where my family goes annually for October/ fall festivities. The Apple Blaster, the train and the playground are my youngins favorites. I enjoy the beer garden which has been expanded. Best thing this year was that the bee's were darn near non existent. I highly recommend this place.
Scoobdooittoo — Google review
I have concerns regarding the horses health .. Topline looks extremely emaciated and shows signs of slight bloat or ulcer . Ribs showing and very puffy tummy. This place is lovely and has great products, at a high rate but that’s the general cost of farm to table and that experience. I enjoyed their lemonade and the grounds are well kept . The deer have fungal rain rot and need some MTG or basic anti fungal treatment. Sheep in decent condition but need more pasture space and lack access to grass. Chickens, hens, and roosters in areas too small despite having ample expansion space and abandoned rides and buildings. Decent farm products, non decent farm. Shop at the cost of your moral personal regard for animal health and welfare.
Cara — Google review
Lots of fun and plenty to do! There’s hayrides, pony rides, food, market, garden center, playground for children, food trucks, huge beer garden. Animals to see like horses, chickens…Orchard for apple picking and other fresh quality produce. Great for dates, family’s, friends. Highly recommend the apple cider donuts and apple cider

Theaters
Hedgerow Theatre is a renowned theater that presents regional performances and offers acting classes for all ages in a 19th-century mill. The venue has at least one decent sized stage with close seating arrangement resembling matchboxes. The entrance door is located right in front of the stage, making tardiness noticeable to everyone present. The surroundings and lobby area have an enchanting ambiance when illuminated, but parking could be a problem if not planned adequately beforehand.
This delightful local theater company located in a historic barn. We visited to see their holiday season offering A Christmas Carol Comedy. The facility is charming and the show was a silly delight. Seating was comfy and the venue is accessible with front row seating, requiring no steps. Parking is a challenge, but they had a parking lot attendant making use of every inch of the lot. Parking is free.
Michael G — Google review
Nora A Doll’s House is an interesting and thought provoking play. The actors seamlessly shift from one character to another as they explore the role of women In various time periods. Great venue to enjoy an intimate theater experience. Highly recommend this production.

Wonderful community theater. Sound, lighting and sets are 1st class. Seating is comfortable. Excellent theater camp for kids. Ticket prices are very reasonable. Parking is limited. Highly recommended. 👍👍
Doug P — Google review
I went to see A Christmas Carol Comedy starring Sarah Mackus and Mark DelGuzzo on Sunday night (12/22/24), and it was so amazing I went to see it again on Monday! A 2-person performance with Mark playing Scrooge, and Sarah playing 'everyone else' (literally!), it was a feat of acting and comedy. Of particular note was Sarah's performance, channeling characters with various accents, mannerisms, body morphing positions, and all with minimal props! Who could imagine one person playing each Cratchit family member in the Christmas dinner scene - interactively! And I could watch her do the Ghost of Christmas Present all day. I smiled and laughed throughout the whole play, as did the entire audience. Amazing acting by Sarah and Mark, and brilliant writing by Katie Leamen! While I understand that as part of the Studio Series the play was primarily performed for school audiences, I'm delighted they did the limited two-show run for general audiences. My recommendation would be to do more general audience performances - with a lot more advanced notice/advertising - audiences would be flocking in!! Oh, and it's a great theater with super comfortable seating.

Saw the current production Friday night - Nora: A Doll's House. Great night out. Amazing little theatre with a ton of fun quirks about it - and the performance was excellent. Definitely recommend.
Rob M — Google review
The theater is intimate and beautiful! The shows and actors are top notch. The ticket prices are affordable. I've been back again and again. Great date spot! The updated the seating with new cushions & they are quite comfy now.
Rachel P — Google review
Great theater! I'm not sure if there is more than one stage, but where the Guys and Dolls Jr. Show that I saw, was a decent size stage and close, Matchbox, type of seating. The door is at the front of the stage and the bottom of the steps when you walk in. So if you're like riigght on time, everyone is gonna know 🤷🏾‍♀️ life happens, lol. The outside and lobby area are nice and have a great vibe when it is all lit up. Since I was nearly late, I did not get parked in, but I could see how that could happen very easily. I do not know how parking works, so that is one thing to think about when you go!

Park
Glen Providence Park is a picturesque 33-acre park located in Media, PA. Established in 1935, it offers a serene natural retreat with hiking trails, a duck pond, and abundant birdlife. The park's wooded terrain provides an ideal setting for picnics, fishing, and wildlife viewing. It is known for its historical significance as Delaware County's first park and was generously donated by George and Eleanor Butler.
Glen providence park is big it's really nice the trails are up hill and down hill there's a small river they have picnic benches throughout the park where u can sit it was really nice here it's big doesn't look it but so much to do here even when it's hot alot of peace and quiet

This place is an amazing hidden gem. Truly a nature sanctuary nestled in suburbia. Extensive trails feature a sublime pond packed with turtles & frogs, a waterfall, woods, and sprawling fields. A forestbathers paradise.
Janine C — Google review
Enjoyed a mostly shady spring hike from the State St entrance to the pond and a loop trail to the old mill site. Scroggie Pond was teeming with painted turtles, sliders and hidden bullfrogs. Although I'm not a birder, I spotted easily a dozen different species enjoying this sanctuary. Recommend wearing boots to explore the wetlands area of the trail. There is free parking but did not see any restrooms. The park is dog-friendly and is carry in/out. They offer concerts and other events on the WPA stage in season.
Barb ( — Google review
There are entrances with parking on either side with wide open areas. The Media side goes downhill into a valley with a patio on one side. The Upper Providence side is flat, but once you go into the woods onto the trails, you are on a steep hillside. Between the two sides of the park there is a creek. There's a pond too, but it was all scummy. Perhaps the most challenging trails in the county, as parts of the trails are quite steep. As far as I can tell, bicycles are allowed on the trails, but I wouldn't suggest trying. The trails in the woods are mostly very narrow, with barely enough room for two people to pass by. There are a lot of little parks in Delaware County, and I wouldn't suggest this one, unless maybe there was a band playing there that you wanted to see.
Rob A — Google review
Actually, there’s nothing much there. I wish there were flowers but all there is are just trails and woods. There were only two turtles just sitting there, but other than that, nothing much. It’s more for hiking in the woods and there’s a big empty space with nothing
Sarah S — Google review
I took my dog here for the first time today and 😒 left disappointed. Started on the trail and had to turn back. This park is so pretty and a true gem...if you're not mobility challenged in any way. There needs to be easier access from State Street, like handrails and shallower steps. Also, the chains in the parking area are a hazard. The trails are very rocky and could be better groomed. I love that it's tucked away from the town center, just wish it was easier to navigate.
Sarah S — Google review
Our favorite park in all of the world! Every time we visit we see something new and love seeing all the wildlife really thriving. Just beautiful*

Great vibe, good service, excellent Q with cold beer….not iced cold beers :|. Beans and ribs were legit. Make sure you get the spicy mustard and BBQ sauce—-finger licking good 😋 Weather was a 10 so we ate at a high top indoor/outdoor style. Bigger than I thought. Cool crowd - perfect spot to watch the game and sip and chat at the bar.

Price - 3 Stars - The food was definitely not worth the price. Service - 5 Stars - The service was very good. The servers were on top of everything.

I just had the best barbecue outside of Memphis that I have ever had. And tasty brew to accompany the food. (I liked the IPA best). Oh my goodness! I don’t know how anybody couldn’t give this establishment a five star rating. My biggest worry is blowing my budget here.
Geoffrey D — Google review
We’ve been going to SP since it got here in Media. We’ve always had great experiences but had a really bad order-in night tonight. The Mac and cheese was average at best with very little flavor and the ribs seemed half cooked. Parts were well done and other parts were slimy and chewy. The seasoning on top was great but hadn’t seeped into the meat leaving it bland and tough. For $23/half rack they should really be doing a better job.
J. M — Google review
Couple things, dirty menus and sticky table tops. Place needs a good cleaning. Bartender/Waitress couldn't be more friendly , she is a bartender normally but filling in as a waitress for the holiday. Food was excellent and well priced , had leftovers to bring home. Beer is great I have had their beers many times also fresh and spot on. Music was a bit load for such a early time and not many people in the place so that could have been a little lower for that time of day. Will I go back .... yes but clean the menus and tables. I'll give it another try.
Joe L — Google review
First and last time I’ll visit this establishment. Beer was warm & they were out of several options on the menu. Food was meh. Brisket & pulled pork were dry. Service was terrible. Waiter entered half of our order wrong and when they took it back to correct it, it took almost 25 minutes with me asking x2 where it was. Our party was done eating by the time the other meals showed up. Disorganized is an understatement. Granted, we were comped for the food that was made incorrectly but I won’t go back here again anytime soon if ever
Jackie G — Google review
My husband and I have been going to the Pig since it opened. We don’t get to go nearly as much now, so when we do it is something we look forward to. We always get the nachos. We did not see much chicken at all in the nachos and had to send them back. The second time there was less of everything in the nachos. Then when waiting once again for the nachos.. I had to ask the waiter abt the status of the nachos. He comes back and says the kitchen is refusing to make them. It was a Saturday night, and no manager on duty to help take care of the matter. I have never experienced such disrespect where a restaurant has refused to serve any more food. Other customers even comment how they will only drink the beer there and not the food. So sad and disappointing.
Jennifer M — Google review
I should say from the beginning that I only had beer so I can't comment on the food. Stirling Pig is a cool little brewery/restaurant located in Media. The ambience is a lot of gray, black, exposed metal. There is a restaurant area and a bar area. The beer is decent if not exceptional. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. In addition to beer they do have cocktails that sounded good from the descriptions. It was a neat little place. I hope to come back and try the food some time.

Asian fusion restaurant
Azie Media is a chic, minimalistic restaurant that serves contemporary Asian cuisine and sushi. They also offer a Sunday buffet. Despite the popularity of this spot, it wasn't crowded when visited on a Friday afternoon. The menu provides numerous options for appetizers, entrees, and drinks. The restaurant is clean and boasts beautiful decor with eye-catching statement pieces like the wine bottle display. It's an ideal place for quick meals with friends or family and even suitable for happy hour gatherings after work.
I recently had a delightful lunch at Azie in Media, PA, with my nephew the day after Thanksgiving. He had a strong craving for sushi, so we decided to give Azie a try. We kicked off our meal with edamame and crab and cream cheese egg rolls, both of which were delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed a variety of sushi rolls, including the New Philly, shrimp tempura, and California rolls. We also ordered the chicken drunken noodles, which were incredibly flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. The service was outstanding; our waitress, Murph, was exceptionally attentive and made our dining experience even better. Overall, I would rate Azie a perfect 5/5. The ambiance, food, and service were all excellent, making it a memorable meal.
JM T — Google review
This is a very cute spot. It has two levels and we ate downstairs by the bar. Our server was very nice. The food was so delicious. I got the sea bass and brussels sprouts and my date got salmon rolls, which were great too! The only thing I was bothered by was we were seated by the front door and it was very cold that night, so we kept getting the cold draft. It was a hour away from closing time, so I just assumed they wanted us to be downstairs.

I absolutely adore this place! The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is great as well! Sushi is so fresh and delicious. I recommend the Chilean Sea Bass and the drunken noodles! I cannot wait to go back! Drinks are awesome as well. We enjoyed the espresso martinis. 🍸

Azie has great ambience, service, and food! Last night we went to Azie and sat in the open air space on the second floor. The setting was really lovely. Our server Ashely was also lovely! She was very friendly, welcoming, and made some great recs when I asked. Our drinks, appetizer, and entrees were all delicious. We’ve been to Azie several times previously and have always enjoyed it. Their brunch is also delicious, and I’ve had a few really tasty cocktails here.

It is a perfect place for happy hour. The food selections are delicious. The korean style wings(sweet w a hint of heat, umami tots(crispiest version of tater tots) served with a sauce, shrimp tempura roll, fish taco(only one served) the fish is grilled.
A J — Google review
A nice place to go for sushi! I really like that they have several speciality rolls, appetizers, and entrees that have salmon. I love salmon and I find a lot of sushi places are too focused on tuna. They have a lot of fresh clean food. I like that they have a lot of fresh sushi rolls that are not overloaded with tempura. I find it much better to have sushi some place a little classier and upscale than the typical sushi spot, and Azie is great!
Chelsea W — Google review
We could never go wrong with a night out on the town in Media! Azie is a lovely restaurant with lovely employees. I was especially grateful for Patrick, who kept our water glasses full. Ice cold- just how we like it! Thank you Patrick and Azie for a great night.
Jordan K — Google review
The service and food were fantastic. It was very busy when I went with my husband, but our server Dom handled the large crowd exceptionally well. He was very attentive and our food was served quickly and piping hot. For a starter we ordered the bulgogi spring rolls and the California rolls. The spring rolls and sauce were delicious. The rice vinegar in the sushi rice really brought out the flavor of the seaweed and the freshness of the cucumber and avocado. For our entrees we had the drunken noodles with beef and the ny strip steak with sweet potato fries. Everything was great by the caramelized honey butter with the sweet potato fries was out of this world. My husband and I kept coming back to the fries and honey butter! Overall our experience was wonderful, the food, atmosphere, and service were all very worth the price!

Nestled in the charming town of Media, English Offerings is a delightful family-owned restaurant that has become a beloved spot for both locals and visitors alike. This eatery specializes in traditional British and American fare, offering an enticing menu filled with global favorites such as savory pies, juicy burgers, and crispy chicken. The ambiance is inviting, especially the outdoor seating area which provides a perfect setting to enjoy your meal.
This place was 10 minutes away from my house so I wanted to try it out. Exceptional. The meat is smoked and the meat pie is flavorful and gives a homey feeling. I devoured it in 2 minutes. I also got sticky toffee pudding. The cake was light and airy and the Carmel was good. I just wish they gave more of it because I love my sticky toffee pudding drenched. They have exotic fantas and English sodas which is really cool. I’ll be back for sure.

The fish & chips here are delicious! The cod is double fried making the outside crispy and the inside very tender, it almost falls apart! Fries could be a little less greasy, but otherwise tasty! This is definitely comparable to the fish & chips I had in London. Only thing missing is the mashed peas!

Lovely for authentic UK takeout food. Not inexpensive, but high quality. Bring your own lemons if you want to squeeze on your fish. Sticky pudding was delicious. Fresh fish!

The best UK food I've had in the states. I lived by the seaside in Scotland and England when I was a child and this is the closest thing I've had to those newspaper fish and chips since then. Loved it and I cannot wait to come back. (PS my wife's Scottish family loves this place too, but her mum's sticky toffee pudding is better 😜)

Excellent excellent excellent food! I highly recommend you get the fish and chips - it's the best I've ever had. This cute little restaurant focuses on takeout so order ahead then pick it up and bring it home. The staff were extremely friendly, it was quick to pick up my order, and the food was oh so good. What a wonderful local establishment with the best homemade food.

My wife and I had gotten English Offerings today for dinner. We ordered their fish and chips as well as bangers and mash. Food was absolutely amazing. By FAR the best fish and chips we ever had. So much flavor in addition to the size of the cod filet-man oh man! Owners were also incredibly sweet. All around, a new gem that we found in Media, and we couldn’t be happier. You will NOT be disappointed!

We drove by this place on the way to a dance recital and absolutely had to stop by on the way home. The restaurant is adorable and the seating area outside is really superb. We got the fish and chips and the toffee pudding. Both were absolutely fantastic and better than a lot of what we had in London. The owners seemed lovely and the food was super fresh. Also the containers are all biodegradable, so less guilt with takeaway. I appreciated this small touch. Ate the pudding too fast forgot to take a photo

Our first stop at this little culinary jewel off the main streets of Media - and what a treat it was! We had an order of the fish & chips, the daily special scones, and a potato, onion, and cheese pie. The fish was perfect - fresh, lightly battered, and perfectly fried. Honestly I’ve never had fish and chips as well prep’ed as this. Fantastic. The scones were also delicious - a little cinnamon and nutmeg spiced, with clotted cream (think whipped butter for the uninitiated). We haven’t tried the pie yet. We filled up on the other items (filling) and have it in the fridge for a later bite. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Wayside Market. This charming café in Delaware County offers an impressive menu that caters to all tastes, featuring everything from fresh club sandwiches and burgers to vibrant salads and mouthwatering pizza. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by warm, friendly staff who ensure you feel right at home.
Have taken out from wayside from time to time for years, but this was the first time dining in. I always get a turkey and cheese hoagie with sweet peppers and onions, this time had to be the biggest hoagie I ever gotten anywhere. It was fresh and the roll was soft and tasty. Probably the best turkey hoagie ive ever had. My mother got a small BBQ Chicken Stromboli that was stuffed with chicken and cheese, not greasy. Served it with a huge side of marinara sauce to put on top. My father got a large chicken cheesesteak with mushrooms and fried onions. Said it was really great and was really large. Will definitely eat in from now on! Great food!
Steven R — Google review
I took a chance on this place as the reviews brought me in. sometimes that could be a good or bad thing to pay attention to reviews. That being said, I will give my unbiased opinion of my food purchase . Ordered the small cheesesteak, I took it out the bag and It was very light picking it up and then noticed not enough meat or should I say barely any meat on it at all especially paying $12-13 for it . The taste was OK. also ordered the chicken garden salad. Some of the greens were wilted. Onions and cucumbers were diced very small, that you could barely enjoy it, chicken was dry, overcooked and lacked flavor.that being said, I ordered a raspberry vinaigrette dressing that was very thick in it’s consistency that pouring it over your salad you would get a big chunk of dressing while eating it. Did not enjoy it . Ordered small cheese fry as well that barely had any fries in it at all and too thick of cheese that it couldn’t be poured on the fries .Lastly , ordered the Italian hoagie Which was OK as well and probably may have been the better option to choose over everything else. Lastly, you could see the kitchen, may look outdated or needed more cleanliness to it

Never been here before ended up in the area with a Rideshare Customer. I figured I would give it a try. I thought the pricing was a bit high, I got a BLT Club and it was $12.22. The ladies at the counter did not even inform me that when you order you have to walk up to the register and order so I sat at my table for like 5min waiting and eventually I said I was ready to order and the girl told me ok well you come to the counter to order so no Waitress or Waiter you wait on yourself. Quaint little place out in a country setting but everything is self serve there is no wait staff, no one checked on me or asked me how everything tastes. The older lady told me on my way out, I hope you enjoyed your food

Our first visit to Wayside Market won't be our last. The food was great, clean Cafe vibe with a solid variety on the menu ranging from fresh club sandwiches and burgers to salads and pizza. Warm, friendly staff and good prices. Their perfectly done 'Wayside Burger' with caramelized onions and Bleu cheese on a brioche bun with a side of homemade coleslaw cost about 50 cents more than a lackluster fast food burger. Easy choice. Perfect spot for a meal when you're visiting Linvilla Orchards.

My husband and I ordered clubs and cheesy bread. My club was in different packaging than my husband’s and when I looked inside of it, my clubs were super small and barely had anything in them compared to my husband’s. Edit: they gave us a refund for our entire meal. I was not expecting that. I thought only for the sandwich. They have amazing customer service and wanted to fix it right away. I appreciate that. 5 instead of 3 stars!

Wayside Market is one of the most charming cafes in Delaware County. Anything and everything offered on this menu is fresh and delicious. A major convenience is the grab-and-go items that are available in the cold displays; tuna and chicken salads, pasta meals, pepper shooters, and more. The gourmet desserts are a speciality as are the muffins and cookies. Take out is also available and easily navigated on their website. If you have yet to visit I recommend you do so. Catch up with an old friend and meet here. There is never pressure to leave no matter how long your visit. And, you can expect to see the owners lovingly engaging with their guests. This place is special. Believe me.

The wayside signature salad is incredible! Love everything I’ve ever had from here. The owner delivered our order herself once to our house and was so so kind.

Nature & Parks
Ridley Creek State Park is an expansive area comprising of woodlands and meadows, providing visitors a refreshing retreat to indulge in various outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and picnicking. The park features both paved and unpaved walking trails spread out on over 2,606 acres that are perfect for jogging, biking or dog walking.
It was a pleasant day with beautiful weather so we decided to go for a hike after our stay at Grace winery Inn. We hiked approximately 6 to 8 miles throughout a well marked loop. For the most part, it was flat with light challenging inclines and declines, but overall good workout. An overall perfect visit.

Beautiful area. Hadn't been here in about 38 years or so. The only drawback to this place is the parking situation. I tried getting here early but it didn't work. Had to park down the road on the shoulder. Otherwise, lots of trails and beautiful scenery. For some reason or other, some of the trails did not show up on my GPS. Some of the trails are rather hilly due to the varying terrain. Some historical buildings throughout and lots of markings on the numerous tree varieties. Worth the parking aggravation.

Friends told us to meet them at this park. We are from out of state and never heard of Ridley Creek State park. We walked over four miles but that’s just a short walk here. There are miles of roads and hiking trails to walk on. The trails are well marked. Take a map at the kiosk or take a pic of the map if you plan to walk the trails. We walked on the park road here and only had three cars pass us during our hour on the road. I can’t wait to get back and explore the trails. We met at the Hunting Hill Mansion parking lot above the park office. It was a great place for us to park as there is EV charging. A two-plug, EV station is available for public use for free.

Riidley has a permanent orienteering course that you can find on the DVOA site. There's a regular course with numbers & a long course that includes letters. It's a great way to see the park & improve your map reading skills....while enjoying a fantastic park.

Easily accessible. There are some parts wheelchairs can't get through. But all in all great place for a hike. Couple of bridges over creeks. We even found some Morel mushrooms there too. Love the fact they have multiple trash bins. For dog owners, don't have to hang on your doggies schnitzel in a bag the whole hike. Def one of my favorite places to hike now. Planning on going back asap.

Ridley Creek State Park is absolutely gorgeous at all times of year but especially in the fall. This is a great place to drive through or spend the day and visit with kids or family. Tons of space for activities and fun. The video I filmed showcases the trees in the fall as we drove through the park. I had the 360 camera mounted to a seat and held by the person in the front seat for extra safety. I hope you enjoy the views

Great place to go on a hike or bike ride as well as excellent fishing in Ridley Creek thanks to the Delco anglers who stock a lot of brook trout which are the native trout to this area. Make sure you check out the fishing area just off of Barren Rd above the fly fishing waterfall. Great trail and great fishing. I've seen everything from mink, river otters to Make eagles and much much more!!

The Tyler Arboretum, also known as the Minshall & Jacob Painter Farm, is a 650-acre park featuring a pinetum and woodland walk. It is a beautiful venue for weddings, with excellent catering provided by JAM caterers. The food is outstanding and has been praised by guests as the best wedding food they have ever had. The Tyler team ensures that all details and decor come together smoothly on the special day.
We visited for the pop-up winter event and had a blast! I hadn’t been to the arboretum in years and forgot just how beautiful it is! This is a great place for a nature walk any time of year. Lots of different plant and animal life, perfect for exploring at any age! We’ll definitely be back.

Gravel paths and tar paths great for walkers (rolators) , Use bathroom in The Barn. Easily accessible. Ask at desk where benches are on paths if you need them. Don't forget to stop at store in visitor center. Beautiful any time of year.

This place is beautiful, was able to visit with a volunteer group, I was the bus driver. Lots of old buildings with history back to late 1600s and 1700s. There are paved trails and woodland hikes, they have events, weddings, church groups. It is a very peaceful place, some odd buildings to see. If you visit make sure to find the book to read along the trails, it starts around the goblin house. I was told to buy tickets online, I would save a few $

There’s so much local history in this garden dating back to the Painter brothers and William Penn! Tyler Arboretum is such a fun place for families! The trails are easy to enjoy and of course my kids loved the treehouses and Hobbit hollow. It's a perfect spot to explore nature together. This park is very nice, full of events such as summer concerts and Christmas lighting. It also has a very special monument that commemorates the first Korean American, Philip Jaishon, who was historically important in Korea as well.

Always a favorite! Beautiful trails and huge park to bring your dog (of course always on their leash). They also built a wonderful park for children of all ages a few years back. There is the biggest enclosed slide I have ever seen there too! May have to watch your little one for that one though. A little more challenging for younger ones under 3. They have an awesome amphitheater there too for concerts! Christmas time they have festive activities, vendors and they dress up the trees in lights! Santa even pays a visit too! Not to miss!

Delaware County. Whether you’re out for a walk, a picnic, or just looking for a peaceful place to relax, this park checks all the boxes. It’s clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained year-round. One of the best things about Rose Tree Park is how dog-friendly it is. As long as your pup is on a leash, you’re good to go. I bring my dog here regularly, and it’s always a great experience. There are plenty of open areas to explore, shaded walking paths, and even water fountains where you can fill up a bowl. Other dog owners are respectful, and the overall vibe is calm and welcoming. There’s a lot of variety here—open fields, wooded areas, walking trails, and even a scenic overlook. The park also hosts events like the Summer Festival concert series, which adds a fun, community-driven energy in the evenings. But even on quieter days, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Highly recommend Rose Tree Park for anyone looking to get outside—especially if you’ve got a dog who loves a good walk.
Greg S — Google review
It's a nice big playground, but rest rooms are not conveniently located. There's walking trails that can be treacherous from what a native told me while I was there. Trees fall all the time in the woods where the trails are. They're are no postings making you aware of this, and rotted trees are not monitored for safety. But there are many trees that fell and stay there in their natural elements. They also have periodic concerts at the pavillion/ stage. They do apparently have their own rest rooms. Behind the stage that are unlocked for these events only. The sitting area to the stage is tiered so other people heads aren't in the way of people behind them. The have done a lot of upgrades to this park over the years and it looks amazing. Kids and bathrooms go hand in hand. Some playgrounds don't even have rest rooms, at least this one does have them even if they are a hike to get to.

Rose Tree County Park is a true gem in Delaware County—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of natural charm. From the colorful rose gardens to the scenic walking trails, every corner of the park invites you to slow down and breathe. One of the most moving features is the memorial area dedicated to fallen firefighters, EMS personnel, and law enforcement officers. It’s a quiet, dignified space that honors the brave individuals who gave their lives in the line of duty. The memorial bells and engraved plaques offer a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made to keep our communities safe. Whether you’re here for a family picnic, a peaceful stroll, or a moment of reflection, Rose Tree Park offers a little something for everyone—with heart and history woven into its landscape.

A fascinating place staffed by remarkably informed volunteers. The building itself is lovely and the assortment of objects is inspiring: fossils, a stuffed alligator, a collection of microscopes & lots of books. Once a month (during the school year ) there are lectures. Hours are a bit limited but if you call ahead small groups are graciously accommodated.

Fun place & free will donation. Skulls, fossils and old microscopes. Oh My. Free lectures the second Monday of each month during the school year. (Just about an hour and a wide range of topics. April of 2019 is Owls of Pennsylvania.) The building is lovely inside and out. Understated. Find out about something new by learning about old stuff.

Irish pub
Sligo Irish Pub is a traditional Irish establishment offering shepherd's pie and various appetizers, along with happy hour deals and live music performances. During a visit on a Saturday for lunch, the pub had limited patrons, creating an enjoyable private atmosphere. The service was prompt and pleasant while the decor exuded elegance. They boast an impressive draft beer selection and an extensive menu catering to all tastes.
Our company holiday party at Sligo Pub in Media was a resounding success. The cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food and drinks made for an unforgettable evening. The private room upstairs was the perfect set to allow us to celebrate the successes of our fabulous real estate agents. Our bartender Tim was great. His personality was appreciated by our guests and he felt like part of the event! We opted for the cocktail party menu, and it was PERFECT. Food was served hot and was available to our guests the whole night. Sligo Pub exceeded our expectations and is highly recommended for any gathering or night out. CG REALTY thanks you!

My husband and I held a small wedding reception at Sligo mid July. The staff went above and beyond to make our reception perfect, from making last minute changes to the menu/beverage options to allowing us to decorate the night before our event. We were very pleased with how flexible they were with the timing. Jen and Jeff were very professional, friendly and attentive to all of our guests. Everyone at the event enjoyed the food, drinks and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend holding any event at Sligo!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. The place was almost empty at the time, so it was very nice to have the place all to ourselves. Service was prompt and pleasant. The decor is very classy. Nice draught beer list, and great menu options for everyone. But if you’re here, you have to try the Irish food! We had the Guinness Beef Stew and the Fish and Chips. Both were outstanding. And to top it off, the bartender made a great half-and-half! Next time I’m in Media, this will be my choice for dinner or drinks!

Last night, I tried the "Famous" Cranberry Turkey and Cheese Stuffing Sandwich at DiFabio's, a takeout restaurant. It satisfied my early Thanksgiving food cravings. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and fries, and we shared the delicious cheesesteak egg rolls. The staff were all very kind and took good care of us during our dinner, constantly refilling our drinks.
Difabios is the best! I moved into the area and have been going there for the last 6 years. Love the restaurant, wonderful food and you can't find better service. Staff is always friendly, and meals & drinks are always delicious. The pistachio chicken tenders are amazing. The market and to-go family meals have saved me a headache more than once when I have needed dinner (real food, not fast greasy take out) or a bottle of wine and dessert in a hurry. Or even just running, in, and grabbing a prepared salad out of the case for lunch. I've done take out catering for holidays and home parties, and it has always been a hit. I recently rented their Rose Tree room to host a birthday party and definitely plan to host future events at DiFabios. They offer an extensive and varied catering menu. Alexa helped me walk me through all of my choices, from table linens to appetizers and desserts. They were on top of everything, and I was able to enjoy myself at the party without worry. My guest raved about the food, particularly the roast pork, though the pasta bar was also a big hit. On a side note, I mentioned looking for a photo wall for the party, and Alexa from DiFabios was able to recommend a local business that they have worked with in the past. It could not have been a better recommendation. Everything was set up beautifully in the room when I arrived, and it was gorgeous. Check out Poppinyourparty if you are looking, Andrea's shimmer backdrop and baloon work was a highlight of the party.

Went to a 50th Birthday Party at the Sky bar which is located in DiFabios. It’s upstairs. What a great venue! Clean! Nice! Enjoyable! Plenty of indoor seating as well as balcony seating! Array of food was really good! Brushetta. Crabcakes. Flatbread. Drinks were good! Bar staff was great! Especially Sydney! She was awesome! Attentive and could make a good drink! Great atmosphere to have an affair!

If you are looking to host an event - look no further. I recently hosted my daughter’s bridal shower at DiFabio’s and I truly cannot say enough about the experience. From start to finish, the event planning team was absolutely top notch. The event directors took the time to really understand my vision and helped ensure every last detail was exactly as I had imagined. On the day of the shower, the staff went above and beyond—attentive, professional, and making sure every single guest was catered to. The food was simply amazing. It’s rare to find city-quality dining outside of the city, but DiFabio’s delivers exactly that and more. The entire day was perfect in every way. Thank you, DiFabio’s, for making my daughter’s bridal shower such a beautiful and memorable event ♥️
Pam W — Google review
We always have a wonderful experience at DiFabio's, whether it's take-out or dining in. We especially love the cakes - highly recommend the beautiful strawberry shortcake cake! I ordered it for my mother-in-law and we all loved it - very fresh with whipped-cream icing and perfect strawberries. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I always enjoy our date nights at DiFabio's! The food is always fantastic. Same goes for their drinks! The staff is polite and attentive. Save room for dessert!

My siblings and I hosted a surprise 40th anniversary party for my parents at Difabios and from start to finish our experience was amazing. The communication was great from the beginning stages, planning stages and throughout the day of. The process to book a room, choose a menu option and dates for the event was so well laid out and clear. Pricing as well was listed in plain print right on their website which I loved! Theresa and Alexa were our point people throughout the process and addressed all of our concerns and questions with quickly and clearly. Day of our event we came in and set up our few decorations and when the event started we didn't have to do anything other than enjoy our party and guests. The servers were polite, kind and attentive. They served professionally and cleared dirty dishes always at the perfect time. They were alll amazing! And the food was delicious! Cooked perfectly, served hot and topped up when needed. I would recommend Difabios for anyone looking for a stress free catered event. We were very very pleased with our experience here all around. Great pricing as well. Food, staff, planning and communication was 5 stars!

Last night our group of 12 enjoyed a great dinner at DiFabio's. We sat in the bar area. The atmosphere was comfortable and lively, which was ideal for our party. The bartenders/waiters Kevin and Jason were exceptional - friendly, personable and attentive. Despite managing a full bar, they ensured that our large party was promptly served and checked in on us regularly. The food was excellent. There were sandwiches, entrees and pizzas. The food did not disappoint. We had a great experience and look forward to returning.

Show stopper! Found a new favorite place! LOVE, the little area of wine and Italian groceries, take out food and wonderful desserts you can take out! The sit-down restaurant was perfection. The waiter was probably the best we have had in years! There wasn't anyone there to great us, though. We did have to wander around to find out where could sit. Luckily, the meal and wonderful service made up for it, and we will definitely be back!

La Porta Ristorante is a creative Italian eatery that offers its patrons a warm and inviting ambiance, complete with a wine bar and live musical performances. This charming establishment has quickly become a beloved destination for many due to its innovative culinary offerings served in a rustic setting. The attentive and friendly server, Beth, ensures that every guest feels welcomed and taken care of throughout their dining experience.
We had a sensational meal last night at La Porta. We tried so many things, so just some of the highlights were the pork belly, the wood fired polpo, and the beet salad. I was full but still had to have a gluten free pizza, which I have been going there for, for years. I want to go back again soon for their great, revolving selection of fresh oysters. There are just so many incredible options on the current menu, it’s hard to decide. And we were able to order a few great glasses of wine that paired perfectly with our meal. Kudos to the whole team for making our meal so special.

Absolutely loved La Porta! The food was truly exceptional – some of the best Italian I've had in a long time. The pizza and gnocchi were particularly delicious. The ambiance inside was lovely, but we chose to dine outside. While the food was still fantastic, the service out on the patio wasn't quite as attentive as it seemed to be for those dining indoors. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended!

I went the other day for an early dinner to this restaurant. The food was outstanding. Prosciutto wood fired pizza was some of the best I’ve tried. Service was quick and responsive. I also had my 9 month old in tow and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly with a child present. The high chair was waiting for us at our table. Atmosphere was great. Music at the right level in the dining room to allow conversation to continue at the table at normal volume. The bar area seemed very lively and a great time during the Saturday games but I did not go into the bar area.

The 2-for-$25 pizza deal at La Porta is hands down the best tasting pizza deal around. Their artisan pizza is outstanding - cooked in a wood burning oven, with great tasting crust, cheese, fresh tomato sauce. We got the margarita and plain cheese plus a Caesar salad. Great service. Great people preparing your food. Worth a try!

We went tonight to enjoy a nice dinner somewhere "new to us". All I can say is Why did we take so long to find this amazing spot??? From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like gold. Appetizers, wine selection, main course and dessert. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!! The manager, Walt, was very attentive and super friendly. The waitress Chantelle, was a delight as well. We were even shown around the place and given a little history lesson. We will make this a regular spot for sure.

So disappointed in the new menu, which is a laminated sheet, felt like a diner menu. This was our favorite, go to place but never again. The food is nothing like the old menu. Ordered braised beef ribs. It was a couple of pieces of cut beef nothing like the last time I ordered it. Service was ok. Had to ask if there were any specials. We were handed a cardboard list. So so sad what happen to our favorite place.

Part of me doesn't want to tell you how good this place is because you will go there and crowd the place; this restaurant is small. However, it is also warm and cozy and acts like a true roadside inn. The cuisine is Italian and everything is fabulous as the chef obviously knows what he's doing. There is a nice bar area and outside patio as well. The happy hour is killer with good food and wine for $6 a glass. Beyond all this is the pizza from the wood fired oven which is incredible. You got to get here if you haven't been!

We stopped in for wine and dessert having already had dinner. They happened to have a musician playing so we chose to sit on the patio so we could still have a conversation. The wine was good and the dessert, a flourless chocolate torte, was tasty. We did end up at the bar a little later due to a key incident and ordered wine and a cocktail. I guess she didn’t understand that we wanted the cocktail so she didn’t make it for us. Oh well! It was an eventful evening for sure.
