Mini Mundo is a must-visit outdoor park in Gramado, featuring intricate miniature replicas of famous international buildings. This miniature universe has been under construction for over 30 years and showcases detailed replicas of real locations, all at a scale 24 times smaller than the original. The park's central location makes it a popular tourist attraction, with miniatures including the Prince of Monaco's Castle, Curitiba's Botanical Garden, and Porto Alegre's Gasometer.
My 4-year-old daughter loved this place and spent more than two hours here without getting bored. Note: There is also a nursing room for families with babies.

Amazing park with an incredible work. Lovely staff.

Great place for kids. Amazing walking and adventure inside mini mundo city.
Roque F — Google review
An awesome experience, the park is well structured, the mini-buildings are fascinating. Really cool how smaller structures can be built and look like the real building. Definitely worth a visit! Buy tickets in advance so you don’t have to wait in line.
Eric V — Google review
It is a pretty cool place. The “mini world” is very detailed and feels alive. There are many landmarks (mostly Brazilian and German) and they are very well done. Adults and kids will have a good time there (2 or 3 hours to see everything if you aren’t in a rush). Look out for the weather since this is an open museum.
Willian — Google review
Beautiful place, very well designed and built. Great for kids and enjoyable for adults. Pay a lot of attention to details, the small figures are doing all sort of fun stuff. The Cafe is not expensive and the food is very good
Esteban R — Google review
Cute lovely detailed miniature representations for local and some internationals buildings. And is not only about the structure they really paid attention to details and you can find the most lovely and or hilarious scenes blend in the landscape! If you look carefully it will be way much fun!

Mini Mundo was an amazing attraction. So much time was spend on the tiniest details that were truly mind blowing. Entire cities 1/100th of the size were created. Many different cities from countries like Brazil and Germany. The mascots were cool too. The family enjoyed themselves here.

Joaquina Rita Bier Lake is a charming manmade lake featuring fountains at its center and scenic walking paths around it. The area is known for its popular Christmas show, which enchants visitors with a large cast structure, special effects, and storytelling about the creation of the world and the meaning of Christmas. Surrounding attractions include themed parks, museums, churches, and cultural centers. Despite rainy weather during some visits, the lake's beauty remains captivating.
We were there on a Sunday afternoon. Great place to lay a blanket on the grassy area and have a picnic with family. You can also take a walk around the lake and take pics in the middle area. We enjoyed as a family.

This place is mostly cement, but if you just want a break from the city and to see the water it's a nice place to walk around and quieter than Lago Negro. We saw some butterflies while there that we're super pretty.
Robin C — Google review
Small lake very close to the main avenue, a good place for a walk
Narda L — Google review
It was a rainy, misty day when I visited the lake, and yet its scenic beauty was more than worthy getting a litte wet. I am quite antisocial, so being able to go there without other people visiting it just added to its beauty.

Aldeia do Papai Noel is a delightful Christmas-themed park that brings the magic of the holiday season to life all year round. Nestled in the stunning Serra Gaúcha, this enchanting village features Santa's charming house, a whimsical toy factory, and even artificial snow to create a winter wonderland atmosphere. Families can enjoy rides on both a train and monorail while soaking in the breathtaking views of nature surrounding them.
What a fun thing to stumble upon. It was all in Portuguese but I got it and had fun the whole time! Great for Christmas lovers in your life. Bring a translator or be familiar with Portuguese because there is no English.
Natasha T — Google review
10,000 Google reviews with many profiles just saying "Top" or "Show", clearly these are fake reviews bought by the company. It's an ok park, suited for young families with the monorail, photo opportunities with festive statues, a foam snow blower to excite the kids, and plenty of gift shops. The constant Christmas songs are mundane. My best part of the place was the gorgeous view out over the valley. Would say is expensive for all that it is. Also why isn't Orkney on the outside flagpole with distances to destinations?
Adventures A — Google review
Has very beautiful view, and great nature, can be a good place for family
Reza A — Google review
We saw all the bad reviews here before we went to the park but my family still wanted to take the kids since they are from Gramado. Unfortunately the reviews are right, this place is really old and not clean. I don’t think they have done any remodeling in 30 years. Save your money and check all the other attractions in Gramado.
Baris E — Google review
Completely disappointed, we brought the tickets, and then when we get there to use the 3 best attractions, you have to pay extra, so they should charge in full before.
Flavio P — Google review
good to spend some time. However they don't tell you the fee you pay to get in doesn't pay for anything inside. Any ride will cost 15R extra
Kevin S — Google review
Real reindeers and a nice view of the valley are the only redeeming features in this very lame park. Expensive and beyond ridiculous random attractions spread in the park are of no interest for any adult. I'm giving 2 stars here for the good housekeeping and good looking gardens that otherwise could serve as a great park.
Girl2wise — Google review
Incredibly overrated. It would be an amazing haunted park, because everything there is creepy and scary. The reindeers are far away and sleepy. The place is full of screaming kids and mums that can't control their kids. Absolutely not worth it. I went with a person that loves xmas and she also hated it. There's already enough xmas stuff all around. Also, it costs $28, they don't accept credit cards and they don't accept student cards.. they brag about it in a notice. They found a way around it. Unethical and stupid business practice.

Eternal Love Fountain is a charming spot in Gramado, known for its colorful night-time lights and the thousands of padlocks attached by couples professing their eternal love. It's easily accessible by foot, and nearby attractions include Rua Coberta, Palacio dos Festivais, Igreja Matriz de Sao Pedro, Rua Torta (Ladeira das Flores), and Praca das Etnias.
Beautiful spot to take pictures. Right next to the church. Very cute attraction to visit
Tati B — Google review
Full of photographers making money. U don’t have a good opportunity for good photos here, unless you pay for it!
Akailson S — Google review
Cute place for “professing your eternal love.” Couples of many nationalities come here to purchase a lock, write their names and date on it, and add it to the thousands of locks already there. I am not sure if they ever remove some to make way for new ones, but I did see that they add more metal holders as space becomes limited. The store to buy your lock is right next to the fountain. There’s no entrance fee to the actual fountain. Keep in mind that if you throw a coin or key to the fountain, as some people do while making a wish, it will be removed. In order to maintain the pH and quality of the water in the fountain they remove what is tossed to it after a while.
Carla C — Google review

Meh. Buying a lock from the local shops cost something like R$30,00, and there will be photographers around trying to sell you professionally taken photos for a few more bucks. Not my type of program.

The Royal Trudel in Gramado has been hailed as the best dessert in town. It's not just an ice cream, but a trudel with ice cream inside, making it even more delicious and sweet. This Romanian treat, reminiscent of a round pretzel, is popular in cities like Prague and Budapest and widely available in Eastern Europe. The trudel is made with sweet bread dough and the flavor comes from the ice cream filling.
OMG!
Digao M — Google review
Delicious, world class chimney cakes. Really enjoyed it. Although there are some fake news here. Chimney cakes (locals call them trudels) are not Romanian at all. Nothing to do with Romania. They are part of the Hungarian culture, more precisely part of the Szekely's culture. Szekelys are a Hungarian speaking ethnic group. Besides their website even refers to Budapest, still these products are advertised as Romanian. Budapest is the capital of Hungary. The owners seem to be ignorants, they dont seem to care about facts, which is very disappointing. Fake news are dangerous.

Delicious, but having to order outside especially if the line is long and weather conditions aren’t great is really a let down. Maybe open up a larger space that can accommodate taking orders in the building instead of taking up so much space on the sidewalks for lines.

(Translated by Google) Excellent burger option in Gramado! I was in the city during Natal Luz/2024 and went twice with my husband. It's a small but very cozy store. The service was efficient and the orders arrived quickly. Even the simplest options are delicious, especially for the quality of the meat. We ordered the rustic potatoes as a side, which were very good. The house sauce that gives it the finishing touch is a highlight. On our next visit to Gramado, we plan to visit Le Grand again. Pedimos o acompanhamento da batata rústica, que é muito boa. Destaque para o molhinho da casa que dá o toque final. Numa próxima visita a Gramado, pretendemos visitar a Le Grand de novo.

The service was super fast and impeccable. We ordered the cheddar passion which was amazing but my favorite was the mushrooms with gorgonzola, what an incredible mix of flavors, congratulations! We also ordered drinks and fries which were also great. The price ends up being a little higher than conventional burgers but it's worth it. When I go back to Gramado it will definitely be one of my mandatory stops.

(Translated by Google) I already knew Le Grand Burger's reputation, but I was always worried about spending too much on a simple meal like a burger. However, the restaurant's mission is to offer customers a gourmet version with a special touch of French cuisine added to the sandwich. Indeed, I felt like I was enjoying an excellent burger made in France. I ordered the Steak au Poivre, which features a distinctive seasoning made with crushed peppers and fried garlic, along with a very tasty sauce. The rustic potatoes must be ordered as a side, so you pay extra for them. What I can say is that they were the best rustic potatoes I've ever had. Dry and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service I received from the two waiters who served me was very good. The average price for the burgers on the menu is R$40.00; if you add fries, it goes up to R$50.00. It's a price commensurate with the quality of the food. I think it's fair, yes. Besides the quality of the food and service, the restaurant's location, next to São Pedro Church and right across from Rua Coberta, is an added charm. Excellent experience. I'll definitely be back!

Hard Rock Cafe is a renowned rock 'n' roll-themed chain that offers a high-energy vibe and serves American classics like burgers. Located in Gramado, this iconic restaurant is filled with modern decorations and attractions for the whole family. It features daily shows by various bands, tributes to famous artists, and special events on occasions such as Valentine's Day.
My partner and I frequent Hard Rock Cafes in other cities/countries. We were going to be there Gramado and to our surprise there was a Hard Rock there. Too me kind of strange. Gramado seems like a German village in The mountains & Wa LA. There'sa Hard Rock Cafe. Small , clean, neat. We were also chosen to make a video about Hard Rock Cafe, How many visited talk about experience. The only complaint was My order. I ordered my burger well done. It ended up being medium. I don't care for pink meat. I ate as much as I could thou. If it wasn't for this this review would have been all 5 stars. The merchandise/store is awesome. I have been collecting The Glasses for 10 + years. T shirts, hats etc are Included in this.

It was great. Just, as usual, Hard Rock Café doesn't offer the most incredible service. It's good. But not excellent. Food-wise, it was great.
Nani G — Google review
Very disappointing. I've been to this chain of restaurants all over the world. But this one stands out. The service was very bad, the food didn't mach the famous name of the restaurant. Although the food isn't the main reason people come here, it's expected to be at least average (but this time was below average). They charge entrance tickets, called "artistic couvert". Definitely a disappointing experience.

Unlike everything that arrives in Brazil, this is the first foreign concept that works better than we could imagine. I was very impress when I find out that the Hard Rock Cafe in Gramado is much better than the Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona. They have a amazing decoration, three floors, very delicious cheeseburger. It is a little bit more expensive than traditional local restaurants, however it is totally worth it because the quality and all general atmosphere.

Chateau de La Fondue is a renowned restaurant in Gramado, offering a rustic and intimate ambiance with low lighting that creates a unique atmosphere. This establishment combines refinement with great service and offers an exceptional gastronomic experience that perfectly blends tradition and sophistication at an affordable price.
Best fondue ever. Service was one of the best I have ever had. The waiter picked a delicious local red wine for me which was amazing.

It was a bit crowded on Friday night. The food was good. Cheese fondue was not the real deal.

I understand why the restaurant is cheap at fifty nine reals, the service was terrible. We waited ten minutes for the waiter to come over to us after being seated to ask us if we wanted it drink. Wait when we got to the restaurant there was only one other table seated in the restaurant. The meat was hard discolored and no taste. I recommend spending another fifty rios at 109 and going to royal fondue.Obviously I didn't believe the ratings, so I decided to try it
Jeff E — Google review
Loved the service, the fondue was excellent and the live music was great ( even though they charge a " couvert" fee of r$ 9 per person). I always believe that if restaurants want to offer live music they shouldn't charge for it, even though there was a sign about the charge but most people don't see it and it's not like they warn you as soon as you walk in...BUT the cost of drinks are OUTRAGEOUS! A tiny bottle of water was r$ 10, a small glass of orange juice was r$ 20, a bottle of a Moscato champagne was r$ 120 ( a very simple brand, nothing fancy), a common brand ( I don't remember the brand now) of Cabernet Sauvinghon was r$ 125!!! In another words, they advertise a cheap price for the fondue but they gouge their customers on the price of drinks!

Long queues, but the food pays off! The service is very good! Waiters are very friendly and helpful. Good food for a fair price. Queues start to form at 7pm, arrive early.

We took the recommendation of the 3 course fondue. Bread and veggie start with the cheesey fondue. Meat course then chocolate fondue with loads of fruit. There was so much food and it wasn't expensive. Staff were lovely and made us feel welcome.

Mundo a Vapor is a unique theme park that showcases various miniature steam-powered machines in full operation. Visitors can marvel at mini replicas of paper mills, potteries, blacksmith shops, steel foundries, and more. One of its notable features is the facade displaying a life-sized reenactment of the famous 1895 train accident at Montparnasse station in Paris.
This is a very good museum. The price of the tickets is fair. It was an amazing experience, for they recreated steam powered machines in a small scale, and it is great to see the machines working and the improvement in our technology and process of manufacturing things! Really recommend it!

There are very few attractions in Gramado and Canela that have any information available in the English language - either a piece of paperwork or anyone who speaks English. Mundo a Vapor gave us an incredible personalised tour entirely in English, with only 5 mins waiting time. Unfortunately we did not get the name of our guide, but would like to personally thank him for his efforts. This is an incredibly interesting museum even if you do not have a particular interest in steam engines, taking you on a tour of steam history through the world.
Jenny H — Google review
It was more entertaining than I expected, they have different machines explaining how the steam systems works and how we evolved some engineering processes. It was fun to know more about the old way of doing things.

There's lots of museums in gramado but not many to actually worth to visit. this place is popular museum in gramado. good to know vapor system in 1900's. It was also interesting in the train, haning and through out the wall, is real incident in Paris in 1980's.
Maria K — Google review
Museum themed on the age of steam. The locomotive hanging out the front of the building is replica of an actual railway disaster which happened in Paris in 1895. There is a mini train ride which last 3 minutes, several displays of traction engines how they transformed agriculture and industry from horse power to relying on steam driven engines to operate heavier load. You can get dressed up in antique clothing for an old fashioned photograph.

Papipupenta — Google review
R$18 entrance to see the history of chocolate. Not bad compared to the wax museum where nothing looks like no one! The toilets are a long walk from the cafeteria...looongest walk inside any place I know. Chocolate not that cheap considering you are buying from source...but hey, 200 reais later, if the girls love you for it...then why complain!

(Translated by Google) I saw this restaurant on TikTok, and some people recommended it. It was the first restaurant we went to as soon as we arrived in Gramado. We had lunch there. The meat was cooked to my husband's liking, super juicy. The food was wonderful. The only thing I would add to the dish was beans, but that didn't change my opinion. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the waiter, Maycon, was super friendly and polite. We also chose to end our mini-vacation there. Since we were using Prime Membership, we were entitled to a snack. Oh my God, what a snack! It was perfect, I think it was the best I've ever had. Thank you so much for the service. If we ever return to Gramado, we will definitely return to Carne & Osso!

Excellent! Pizza flavors were good with lots of variety, service was great, entertainment was awesome! It's like a dinner buffet and a show, with a jungle theme. Good cost for what you get. $130 for our family of 7.

It's pricey but kids LOVE it for the decorations and show! They can not forget this place, I think it might have been the highlight of their trip! Pizzas are good too, although it makes me a bit sad that nobody eats the rims, I hope they recycle them somehow.

Fun show for the kids. They have a play room where you can leave the kids play. I was skeptical about the pizza buffet concept but the pizzas were delicious and tons of variety (classic pepperoni to mango pizza and even octopus). The waiters keep bringing the pizzas. Make sure to visit this place with empty stomach. Fun place for the kids, highly recommend it.

It's basically a clone of the American style Rainforest cafes. Highly professional made, good service and food. The shows are weak and mainly focus on children but still fun to watch. As family i would recommend a visit, as a couple there are better places. It's overpriced for what they do but in the other hand it's different and there for worth seeing.

More than 30 years of history. This place keeps the great quality since ever. A sort of different dishes and desserts. All you can eat for $75 BRL. Cozy and great staff! Congratulations (to the owner and staff) for the great Café Colonial!

Good tip - you can pay for this restaurant online and it will be cheaper. It was my first time in a colonial restaurant, and all I can say is that it is all about a great amount of local food on the table at the same time. And yes, save the space for deserts because the come as a second course!
Tolgonai T — Google review
This restaurant incentivize you to leave a five-star review, that is why they are rated so highly. Very disappointed! This place is EXTREMELY overpriced. The food is completely average. My girlfriend and I chose this cafe colonial because their website said wine was included in the buffet. However, they limit you to one small pitcher of wine per person. The wine limitations and quality of the food do not justify the outrageous price.
Jacob P — Google review
Food was amazing. But definitely would say that it's better going in large groups as it is a huge quantity/variety and can serve a lot of ppl. Very nice staff. Overall, a great experience. We've also been told by locals that they have the best cafe from the area (though it is more expensive).
Izadora M — Google review
The concept of the restaurant is a traditional German/Brazilian breakfast brunch type meal that is served family style to the guests in your party. In fact we didn't feel comfortable in that place. We counted 27 different dishes that were brought to our table, not including the selection of desserts after the meal, and not including white and red wine. However it's pricey and the owners they should re-think the ambiance. The place looks like a simple restaurant, doesn't have a cozy feeling. I do recommend if you don't care about the ambience and if you're just hungry. ***

Very nice park with waterfalls and wild animals. It is a perfect place for you coming with your family for a happy day. However, remember that this is a touristic place. So, if you don't like crowded places, it is better you come during the weeks days, in low season periods.
Rafa H — Google review
Like many things in Gramado/Canela, the Caracol Park is overpriced. R$75 for an adult or 90 with the mirador. Add to that parking (30) and if you want to do the little train inside (hard to avoid with kids) it’s another 20. The views are nice, and compared to other things in the area it’s not a complete rippoff, but it’s too expensive nonetheless It’s not accessible like they claim. If you’re on a wheelchair forget about it. If you’re with a stroller, prepare for a treat: the gravels uphill are a delight!
AJ J — Google review
It's small, so don't expect to hike in nature. Well maintained. The only way to see the larger waterfall is via some observation platform you have to wait in line for. There's another short walk to a waterfall where you can get closer. I think it's designed mostly for families with children--lots of playgrounds and BBQ areas.
Nathan J — Google review
The falls are quite impressive but this is a expensive touristic attraction. You can't get close to the water and you have to pay extra if you want to access the best spot to have a picture of yourself with the falls
Rousselle M — Google review
Beautiful place to spend the day with nature. We saw a hummingbird and a toucan and had a wonderful time hanging in the hammocks and viewing the waterfalls.
Emily T — Google review
Price is way too expensive - R$70 per person for regular adults. We saw the waterfall for free by going to the cable car park farther down the road, entering the car gate on foot and walking to the viewpoint by the parking lot - the only problem with that one is that you currently can't see the bottom quarter of the falls because some trees are in the way.

Churrascaria Garfo e Bombacha - Noite Gaúcha offers a self-service system where you can choose from a variety of dishes to accompany the 8-hour roasted rib, including capeletti soup, an array of special cheeses and cured meats, abundant salad bar, traditional hot dishes like carreteiro and assorted grilled meats. The lunch spread also includes fried polenta, lasagna, and grilled cheese among other options.
Here you find good food, desserts, beverages , and a great atmosphere. From the entrance door, you are treated by fine people who welcome you with a warm smile. The show can not be missed. They have good music and dances. For lunch normally the time spent there is almost 3:00 hours starting at 12:00 PM. For dinner, they offer an option to pick you up at the hotel. I highly recommend this place.
Nivaldo ( — Google review
Really nice night show that showcases the culture within the state and the area. It also pays homages to the past, having dances with German, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese descent. Even dances from Argentinian Gauchos were present. The wine was also good - from the Jolimont Winery. The service was very good, having many attentive and friendly staff. However, the food is subpar. The churrasco was bad - the meats were not tender, did not have a good quality taste, etc. I’ve eaten so many churrascos in many restaurants around RS and beyond, and sadly this one was near the bottom. I’d rate the food 3 stars, while the rest is 5 stars. You’re paying for the show, just keep that in mind. Spent R$700 in total for 2 people. Pretty steep for bad churrasco. Nonetheless, I totally recommend the show.

The food was good, obviously, and the show was awesome, but this was all a bit overwhelming, so be aware and when you go there don't let the music, loud volume and the awesome dancing distract you from what's most important, the meat 🍖!

Jeff E — Google review
It's more comfortable if you drive there for yourself, since after the show it's hard to find a cab. The show was very nice and pleasing, but the foods were just average chorrasco. I would say 4 star show + 2star food.
Derf — Google review
I was very excited to visit this Churrascaria. My husband isn't Brazilian so I love to show him all the different cultures Brazil has. The show (musical and dance presentation) is phenomenal. The dancers and the band are amazing. You can watch many gaucho tradicional dances in one night. It is a long night, so beware that they "close" the stage at 11.30pm. With that being said, we weren't very impressed with the food. They don't cut the meat at the table, which is no problem, if the meat was wonderful, I'd take as many lines as needed. However, most cuts were fatty and thick. I'd "grade" the experience and show a 10, and the food a 6. I'd love to come back and see some improvement in the dinner "department".

(Translated by Google) It definitely doesn't meet Gramado's standards. We found plastic in the salad, water for R$9.90, food without salt, no salt on the table (when we asked, they served it in a shot glass), a very beautiful and cozy atmosphere, with background pagode music (which we liked). The food was as simple as possible: rice, beans, pasta without sauce, meat/chicken, and vegetables. Cheap is expensive, friends. O barato sai caro, amigos. Visita em 17/08/2025

Fondue restaurant
Restaurante Maison De La Fondue is an elegant venue located in the central region of Gramado, offering classic fondue options such as cheese, meat, and chocolate. The restaurant provides a romantic atmosphere and quality service, making it ideal for a memorable dining experience. Guests can enjoy a three-course meal including cheese fondue with vegetables, grilled meats and chicken at the table, and chocolate fondue with fruits. The restaurant also offers a good selection of international wines to complement the meal.
excellent experience! The restaurant manager is very competent and courteous. Restaurant was busy and there was a half our wait yet he managed seating very efficiently. Food is served in three courses: vegetables with cheese fondue, then meats and chicken grilled at the table, followed by fruits with chocolate fondue. Food quality was very good and service was fast enough. Prices were also very reasonable for a touristic area. would highly recommend for anyone visiting Gramado and looking for unique experience.

We recently visited Maison de la Fondue in Gramado at the invitation of some friends and had a wonderful dining experience. We tried the cheese and fruit fondue as well as the meat, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors and ambiance truly made the meal memorable. One small note: the entrance has a few steps, which might make it a bit challenging for strollers. Overall, I highly recommend Maison de la Fondue for anyone looking for a unique fondue experience in Gramado.

Le Jardin Lavanda Park is a beautifully manicured park featuring various species of lavender, a greenhouse, lavender gift shop, and a cafe. Nature and flower lovers, a must. It's one of the few "affordable" things to do in Gramado/Canela that's for nature lovers. Beautiful views of the ranges, flower beds along all the path and lots of places to sit and enjoy. Even my kids, 3 and 10, enjoyed the walk and open grass area to run around.

R$20/person to enter. It’s a peaceful garden with great views of the mountain. I liked the landscaping. It has a decent recent restaurant with a gift shop. I ordered spinach and ricotta tortellini but it lacked flavor/spice/salt. Personally, I thought the prices were steep for the quality of food. The price of admission seems high for the size of the garden.

Nonno Mio is a cozy restaurant in the central area of Gramado, inspired by German and Italian cuisine. The beautiful building is located next to the Plaza of Ethnicities and the Bus Station, with inviting garden surroundings. Inside, two large halls combine rustic inspiration with elegant decor. Since its establishment in 1982, Nonno Mio has been a reference in the city for classic Italian dishes of high quality, such as their renowned Galeto ao Primo Canto.
Amazing customer service. All staff are very professional. I had the pleasure of being aided by Paulo, who explained to us the ins and outs of some dishes and consequently, we purchased an olive oil bottle made by the Nonno Mio team. All the dishes were superb, fine and memorable. See pictures. I cannot recommend this place enough. Came in on a Wednesday night and was seated immediately. No wait times for drinks or food. Cantina Pastasciutta is an Italian restaurant located in Rua Coberta, one of the main tourist spots in Gramado. It's known for offering homemade pasta with a variety of delicious sauces. What an amazing restaurant, I had a funny night. I asked the waiter if I could pay with a e-tick card and he call the manager to the table and he was so careful to tell me they couldn't accept the card. All staffs was great and at the end they lend me a crayon to write my name on the wall. That was a day to remember. The food, wow hand mad pasta and a very nice burrata.
EVERALDO A — Google review
Party of 5, been in the restaurant at least once a year for the last 10 years. It really became a tourist trap. The flavor of the food is good, but the prices are high and it lost part of its essence. Some stuff, like the pasta cooked in the grana padano, feels more like a show for tourists than anything else. We ordered 2 plates, one came wrong, we got the ravioli instead of the tortei. Was quite disappointed with the taste. The parisiense was great, but very rich and the cheese overwhelmed the plate. I got a complimentary dessert and a coffee for the mistake, but I will not be coming back again.

The pasta menu is to die for. Great options for at least 2, but I would say 3 will eat comfortably. The service was great and they even make up with a dessert after forgetting about the salad. By the way the best salad selection I had in Brazil. Many green organic leaves with a great taste.

Nestled in the charming town of Canela, Castelinho Caracol is a historic home turned museum that showcases vintage furnishings and utensils from a bygone era. The main attraction here is the tea house, where visitors can indulge in one of Brazil's best apfelstrudels. For those looking to simply savor the delicious dessert, there's an option to order it for takeout without paying museum entry.
Beautiful property with an excellent display of history
K S — Google review
Nice visit with interesting historical buildings, true Apfelstrudel, however, a bit overpriced for someone that already paid an entrance fee. As in today, you pay R$16 for one ticket (adult) and R$32 for one slice of Apfelstrudel with cream. Don’t get me wrong, it tastes truly German, but I just don’t think the price is right. It was overall a nice experience though!
Cynara B — Google review
interesting venue, filled with historic farming artifacts and traditional buildings. There is a coffee inside one of the houses with a famous apfelstrudel which I personally didn't like much (too much filling and almost no pastry). The apple tea was surprisingly sweet, even though it has no sugar added!
Leonardo S — Google review
Nice place but they're telling that it's German and some big signs are in German too but the history and information signs are only in Portuguese. It would be better to have also English and/or German translations of them.
Tobias K — Google review
Charming little chateau. The Tea room is great. Friendly staff.
Cleber G — Google review
It has a nice sight seeing but that's all. The apple strudel is shameful and poorly prepared. The hot chocolate they serve is nothing more than a terrible quality Nescau alike...and the variety simply doesn't exist. To add insult to injury they only take cash, not bothering to make this clear until you are on your way to the cashier. Do not recommend it.
Brenner H — Google review
The Apfelstrudel (Apple strudel) is one of the best I ever had. Every time I travel to Gramado or Canela, at least one day of the trip I NEED to go to Castelinho Caracol to have Apfelstrudel.

Nice place to visit. For everyone how is addicted to motorcycle, I totally recommend take a look at this kind of pub/museum. drinks and food are a little expansive inside, but if you are in Gramado/Canela it is not the moment to be a penny-pincher person.

Fancy bar. Cool atmosphere. Nice and unique decoration. Good rock music playing at background. When I lived in the town I used to come here at least once per month. They could have more options for beers and drinks, specially for suit better on all this Harley-Davidson bar concept that they present for us. And they also could have a pool table, as any rock bar have. But what can we say? Nothing is perfect, right?

Restaurant
Café Colonial Bela Vista is a must-visit spot in Gramado, RS, known for its mention in the best-selling book '1,000 Places to See Before You Die.' This traditional establishment has been serving an abundant spread of 80 German, Italian, and Portuguese dishes since 1972.
We made a reservation and paid online and we got a BRL 10 discount per person which is good as we were in 4 people and it is not a cheap experience. But to be honest it was worth every penny. The amount of food they brought to the table was insane and the quality was just amazing. Make sure to leave room for the desserts, they have many options of ice cream and cakes. Service was 10/10. All waiters were super friendly and we got advice on how to combine the dips! Definitely is something to not be missed when visiting the South of Brazil!
Ana C — Google review
This is definitely an extremely expensive affair if you choose to indulge in this experience that is unique to the Gramado region. The concept here involves them serving up everything they possibly have with an all you can eat style dining. The only problem here is that there are a lot of sweet dishes here and there is only so much that you can eat when it comes to such sugary dishes. This in turn throws the taste balance that you come to expect from such a premium place. Although this is a unique experience, I would personally avoid it as it does not give us that out of the world experience that we come to expect.
Balasubramanian G — Google review
My kids said it was the best place they ever had breakfast at, and the service was awesome 👌. My wife finally realized that cafe colonial is the best thing ever.
Marco B — Google review
Not worthy to be honest, food was brought to the table to quickly means it was ready on the plates, no explanation, just trough plates around yhe table. All grilled items were cold, cake friedge state was disgraceful. Not even one fresh veg, few pickles, everything sweet or deep fried. Nobody cleared the table, also price is over exaggerated, way over vs what you actually eat. Very touristic approach, people comes once and go, like it or not , doesn't matter.
Marina Z — Google review
The food was delicious, however, there is so much pork versus chicken, turkey, or beef. More sweets than salty foods (I prefer salty foods)... Overall, great experience since the waiters were so friendly and courteous.
Tanya S — Google review
Thank you for fantastic meal. Johnny gave us fantastic service with very good and inspirational recommendations 👏 😀
Morten J — Google review
I usually avoid giving low marks for restaurants or, in fact, anywhere people do their best to serve others. Having said that, I couldn't be more disappointed than having tried the famous "cafe colonial" in Gramado. Why? To start, it is over expensive and you get no value for money. It's a "tapas" of sweets and savoury dishes. I ate in many places in the world, from Europe and America (expensive and affordable) but here you pay European prices for things you find in any good Brazilian padaria (bakery and pâtisseries). I paid roughly £27 per head, which is a sizeable amount for Brazilian restaurants. To contrast this I give you an example, a much more exciting gastronomic experience can be found at the Alles Blau restaurant in Igrejinha for less than half of the price I paid at the cafe colonial, in a "all you can eat" restaurant. At the cafe colonial, not only i was served some blant dishes, the chicken leg was served raw inside, which meant it was left on the plate. The orange cake had no taste of oranges, as was the chocolate caket. The pudim was a tasteless gelatin, and my wife loves pudim. How difficult is it to mix 3 eggs, a tin of condensed milk, a tin of milk in a blender and cook it in bain-marie for 25 min? The tortas were nice though. The service was first class, but I would rather eat well than just having someone serving me with a smile. Would I ever come back or tell anyone to go to a café colonial? No. I am awfully sorry to have written this review, but I felt like a mug when I left the place.

Service was excellent!! So much food, options to every taste. Yummy food, yummy grape juice and a great experience for someone from outside of Brazil. Special thanks to Fabiano, Francisco, Clécio and Elair for looking after our table! Thank you team, great brunch experience 🫶🏻
