I am a LOYAL Publix customer as I have ties, to the original, Publix in Winter Haven, and later in Lakeland Florida. I have watched Publix suffer, especially in recent years with struggling to get and KEEP, good employees! Earlier this week, I experienced an UNPLEASANT FIRST!!! I was at the self checkout, which I'm not typically, in favor of to begin with. Something I had, rang up incorrectly. I never saw ANYONE "in THAT general area. After waiting a few seconds, and looking around, I asked, louder than just to MYSELF but, not very loudly, I"anyone working self checkout?" I actually had to ask TWICE, the second time louder. I sudden heard, "UH, YES" but when I looked to see who said it, she was shaking a card or something at me. She walked over, never acknowledged me, other than the card. Realizing she was NOT going to communicate with me, I said, pointing, "those rang up wrong". She swiped he card, removed them and walk off, taking what I came in for with her. It was the most disgusting thing I have EVER witnessed at a Publix. I was so ASHTONISHEDI, I went to customer service and asked her name. I was told, she was Wendy....I didn't see her because she was "PROPPED UP, LEANING against registrar 7!!!!!! I expect better from Publix!!!!! Beware of Wendy, who in my opinion, is NOT there to work or for the customers!!!!!!!
