The loop including the pond and the beach is 3.25 miles, some of it is strenuous and some difficult. Hiking poles would be useful, particularly if wet or icy. The trail is marked okay, but some critical blazes are faded. Poison ivy was seen, and ticks are possible in season, so long pants and DEET. The rewards are incredible. Five stars is not enough. 2nd only to Isle Au Haute. We had it to ourselves in mid June.
Had the place to ourselves 9/29/22. Lovely quiet trail with some rocky terrain that goes to a beach. About 3 miles round trip loop.
Breathtaking trails. Truly beautiful! Can't wait to come back!
