Great school, especially for anything natural resources related. Their music program also has tons of cool opportunities, there's always a performance you can go see during the school year!
I graduated in 2016. Almost every class I had was taught by a professor, and not a TA. Due to the small class sizes, I felt as if the professors were able to get heavily invested in their students. As a result, the quality of my education was excellent.
The only problem with the small campus is that sometimes I felt like I was at high school 2.0. Classrooms and labs are basic, and the history of the campus is not well expressed. There wasn't much school spirit.
Nice campus. Typical UW system school - they screw you over with classes you need, string you along to see if they can get you there for 5+ years. Facilities are nice. Parking for athletic events suck.

The education was decent and did well to keep up with trends in fast paced technology. On the other hand, "hindsight is 20/20" and since day 1 the 'system' enabled the worst long term impacts to build up on my life. Graduated earlier than intended and left an on-campus potential career. I would call the issue "culture" but broader social issues were at play.
I did a college visit with my high school senior, and I was impressed with the university...with the opportunities shown, the college campus, the incredible internship opportunities spoken about.
For an undecided major with my child, UWSP may not be the best long-term fit, but I like what we saw, and with friends currently attending, or some planning to attend next year, I see UWSP as a solid offering...great tour, great pitch given.
