Q&A About Asia

Is it possible to travel around Japan without knowing the language?
Google translate app... Using the photo and viewfinder options allow the translation to appear on the screen as you point the phone at the text... Lifechanging. I couldn't have made it in Thailand, China, Japan and Hong Kong without it! You can go to an Asian grocery store and use the app on the labels to see for yourself how it works and whether you think you'd be able to understand well enough!

Should I spend my birthday trip in Maldives, Thailand, or Morocco?
Never been any of those places, but I do have a friend who lives in the Maldives and it looks amazing. It's a crazy long flight, though. Just came to say you are a super cute couple and he is yummy!

Which pet-friendly airline to book for a trip to Costa Rica, Brazil, or the Philippines?
If your not going for long I would hire a pet sitter. No need to put the babies under that much stress if your able to have someone watch them in their home where they are comfortable.

What are some of your tips and recommendations for South Korea?
How long will you be there? For South Korea, I was in Seoul and Busan. Loved both and had a great time. Head to the various food markets As for Japan, I’ve been to Tokyo and Osaka. Also had a great time there, but I enjoyed Osaka more. Tokyo was a bit too busy for me but I still enjoyed Tokyo. In Japan, not many people speak English, so be prepared with an app. This being said, they are very willing to help 🙂

What are recommended tourist spots and food venues in Japan?
Hi I'm Japanese in Osaka🏯🐙. Osaka is the food paradise, Okonomiyaki(the photo I took today), takoyaki and kushikatsu! Well people don't speak English, but they can read, so you can ask them with your smart phone.

I booked two client’s honeymoons in Maldives/Dubai this year. It seems to be a very popular choice!

How much is the daily expense for food while visiting Japan?
1) I personally love Disney here. To me, it has a more adult vibe than any of the other Disney parks I’ve been to. You can also drink alcohol in DisneySea. 2) You have to visit the Ghibli museum then. It’s in the west of Tokyo. 3) The 3 cities in 2 weeks sounds pretty reasonable to me! 4) Restaurants here are quite cheap and there’s no tipping. I’d say about ¥1200 per meal is pretty standard (like for a bowl of ramen or something similar or for a full meal at a conveyer belt sushi restaurant). 5) I’ve only ever stayed in hotels so don’t have any Airbnb’s to recommend but I personally love staying in Asakusa. It’s a mix of old and modern Japan. If you want to be a bit more central, Shinjuku and Shibuya are always popular options. Anywhere along the Ginza or Yamanote metro lines would be good I’d say because you can visit most places by using one of them. I’ve been living here for almost 2 years so feel free to ask any other questions 😄

Does anyone have hotel recommendations in Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka?
We stayed at the Hotel Century Southern Tower in Tokyo. It's walking distance to Shinjuku Station and 4-stars.
