Hang in there roadmaps are being published by individual European countries about opening up to tourists, you can’t leave yet but when you can France will be opening to tourists from 9th June. Just need to 2 countries to agree! Fully vaccinated or pcr test obligatory but there is also a Europe-wide decision that will overlay but not substitute for local country regulations. I think low price fares will be available soon as companies need cash flow.

So much to see in Germany. I’ve lived here 4 months and been somewhere different every week and still haven’t put a dent in what there is to see and do here.

The train system is fabulous in germany and throughout switzerland. I would really consider the trains (they are always prompt and clean and safe). Switzerland isn't part of the EU in the same way that Germany/France/Spain/Italy are, so taking a rental car between those countries might be difficult.

In Switzerland go to Grindelwald, Lucerne, Lake Geneva, Lugano, Zurich, Grimentz, blausee

I loved the public transportation systems. I love love Würzburg and Düsseldorf! I usually hate big cities but love Berlin.

We are hopefully thinking 2022 (my husband and I are fully vaccinated but for us it’s better to wait another year since we have a toddler).

Just be a free spirit ✌️ I would buy a ticket to wherever you want to start in Germany and just take the most improvised way to Berlin. Honestly the best way to travel ❤️

Hello, Franconian German here. Franconia is beautiful, visit Rothenburg, Bamberg, Würzburg and many more medieval small towns.

I’ve not done Oktoberfest, but if you get a chance to go a bit north to Köln, it’s a lovely city and my favorite of the three I’ve been to in Germany. ❤️

I haven’t done Viking, but I did a cruise with Ama Waterways and loved it. I did colors of Provence through France. It was an older crowd for sure, but my friends did the Danube on one of the wine cruise and it was more 30-50 year olds.
