Le Grau-du-Roi

Le Grau-du-Roi is a resort on France’s Mediterranean coast. It’s known for sandy L'Espiguette Beach and Port Camargue marina. Seaquarium has sharks and protects sea turtles. West, on Etang de L’Or lagoon, is La Grande-Motte, a resort town with modernist architecture. Northeast is the medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes. Farther east, the wetlands of Camargue Regional Park are home to bulls, horses and flamingos.

Large aquarium with lots of different areas and break out rooms. We have been to aquariums all over but this one is very good with the variety of fish and sharks to see. The kids loved it, there is lots of toilets and lifts available throughout the whole experience. It took us around 1 hour and half to get around the whole tour followed by a gift shop and cafe at the end.
One of the best oceanariums I have visited in France. I think it’s pretty cozy and definitely can be an attractive touristic spot in summer.
Nice way to get out of the heat. But apparently everyone else in the entire south France has the same idea. Parking a car was not the easiest. Saw lots of fish. Some very large things. Some tiny things. The shop was good. WiFi didn't work.
It's a nice place to spend time with kids or anyone who's interested in underwater life. For 16€ for an adult, you can see sharks, rays, huge turtles, different fish, other sea creatures and seals. The place is full of information about sea life, endangered species, water pollution puzzles for curious minds. The day I visited the seaquarium, there was a quest for children : they got a task at the entrance and had to look for clues around the aquarium. So their time there wasn't just wondering around and watching fish. There's a parking next to it and a few places to eat. The photos I post can't show the real beauty of the place, so go and check it yourself 🤗
Very nice place to visit. Was quite packed, but it was a nice experience for us and our 16 months old
Great Aquarium for a 2-hour visit! Plenty of activities for kids, clean and tidy aquariums. The fish look healthy and well taken care of. The entrance fees are reasonable for what you can see and do. There are some booths for pictures, an area where you can touch mini-sharks (highly recommended, really cool experience also for kids as they cannot bite). Overall a nice experience and time well spent! Really educative especially with regards to sensibilisation to waste in the oceans.
Nice and modern sea aquarium. We were there during end of season and some items were not in use or was being cleaned. Fair money for value. Staff friendly and helpful. Highlight is are the baby sharks wich can be touched. That was a stunning experience. Interesting story of the monk seal. Visit is worth it.
Surprisingly big aquarium for a small town

Nice surroundings, many birds and flamingos, we had a beautiful walk to the beach, and a new year's dive in the sea... The beach was also very clean. Very happy. A pleasurable experience.
When u arrive with your car u pay a ticket all day lasting of 7 eur, u park your car and.. START WALKING in order to get to the naturist part u gotta walk for 20 mins, for the gay beach is another 20 more or less. Once u reach the beach, just head left. Bring everything u think u’ll need cause there’s absolutely no place u can buy anything but some random carts selling icecream and few other things. Ppl are niiice!!! The beach is wide but the sea isn’t that much of a beauty.. nothing u cannot find anywhere around. P.s.There’s a cruising “wood” behind the sand hills if u’re asking why ppl keep coming and going 🤭
This beach has something for everyone. You can mingle with the crowd or walk along the shore and claim your own private beach! It goes on and on for ever!
Endless sand and sun. Amazing views of the sea. Bring an umbrella and sandals. You’ll bring back a thousand sandy memories to your car; there are no showers. Didn‘t try the nude part.
Beautiful yellow sand, open spaces. People selling refreshments with little carts... More people than I expected, though, and our side of the beach was marked as naturism prohibited, which was a bit of a shock.
Great beach, good parking (6€ a day or 30€ for 7 visits).
great beach, anything you want it to be

This is the best riding stable for all ages and do not listen to the German reviews as we really loved it and after helping malades in Lourdes it was a wonderful chance to ride out all those days working with the sick and injured. Thank you to a wonderful host a really charming stables. Even fir a Knight of Malta and his son Bravo.
Enjoyable horse riding experience, good for beginners like us. Owners kept saying things like "don't let the horse eat the grass" but they hadn't told us "how" to stop a horse eating grass! So it was a little frustrating at times!
It was magical we had a wonderful experience and our Guide was amazing. It was the sportive, we were three people. I can only recommend you this Ranch
Very nice, the horses are all clean and healthy, and well trained for beginners as well as cavalier. Horses are not aggressive at all, they are very kind to people and to other mates . The only thing, walking by the sea side its not really as it is on the picture that people go into the water. There is a beach there is a sea, but the sea is far and all you see is a sand around you.
Excellent experience. We always try to get a horse ride in wherever we go and this was a great trail along the beach. Guide was great.
this is the third time i went to this ranch. We took the sporty ride and it was really amazing. The guide always checked up on us to make sure we were okay. i can only recommend this ranch.
Fantastic- beautiful healthy horses and a ride through beautiful natural areas. Excellent friendly experienced guides. I highly recommend. I am an american that speaks very little french and all the guides were helpful to make sure I understood directions.
We started 30min late. The staff was not nice. We didn't had any instructions. Due to that they yelled at us because we didn't know how to ride the horses. After the ride we looked at the photos. We offered a prise but the staff just tore the photos apart in front of ur eyes. It was very frustrating.

Very close to the port and beach. Beautiful location from the other side of the water
Good information about local attractions. Nice building. And I got map to find around.
Lovely welcoming and everything you need to discover the regio!! And so welcoming!!....a must go to prepare your visit
This is a busy part of the city. Almost on the beach and a short walk to the river and restaurant area.
The tourist office was focused on promoting local business it was still helpful but one must take this attitude into consideration when dealing with them.
A must visit if you are in Grau du Roi,really helpful staff with all the latest info on the local happenings plus they have occasional art exhibitions upstairs win win :-)
Nice that they have some places to sit inside and out with great WIFI and an interesting little museum upstairs to go with the standard tourist info
They don’t know anything! Local buses and train information was good and beautiful building. Bike, car, paddle board, windsurfing, etc. was either wrong or they just didn’t know. Waste of time.

Very disappointing. Went there for a meal at the restaurant. Lots of empty tables but were not accepted because they already had too many orders. The staff obviously cannot handle a regular work load on a Friday evening and is unprofessional/rude.
A clean, small casino with a variety of modern slots and a few table games with low stakes. We went twice during our stay, and came out about even. Smoking is relegated to a covered outdoors are with additional slot machines. There is a restaurant and shows, but we were not able to visit either during our stay.
Super casino excellent resto personnel super

Good place to go with kids for adults its not enough;)
Great place for kids from 2 to 10 years old. It is not paid directly with money, you have to purchase chips for each entertainment, at the cash register. There is a restaurant near by, also toilet with tax of 0,50 Eurocents. An ice cream Kiosk, pancakes, sweets. The water park is just for little kids, nor for adults but there are plastic chairs for free on which you can sit on the shadow and read a book while your kids play in the water. There are also 2 tables with benches if you brought some picnic with you.
Babyland is a small amusement park that’s perfect for little ones, especially toddlers and younger children. There are plenty of age-appropriate rides from mini cars and boats to trampolines, bouncy castles and a little roller coaster. I really liked that parents can control the start and stop of many rides, which makes it easy and safe for younger kids. The token system works well (buying a pack gives you better value), and entry to the park itself is free. It’s a nice way to spend an hour or two away from the beach, and the children had a great time. That said, the park could do with a bit of care and updating, as some attractions feel old. The toilets aren’t the cleanest, and we found the snack bar slow with staff not particularly friendly. Prices also felt a little high for what you get. Tokens work out to be roughly around £2 each per so per person. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you have small children and want something simple and fun, but don’t expect a polished theme park experience.
Difficult to find parking close by but a really good set up with 3 nice mini-golf courses in a beautiful setting. However, the practice of only giving one golf ball to each group, however big the group, really slows things down and can cause traffic jams. Good fun though.
Lovely place and delightful staff. Fun golf courses. Three to choose from.
Historical immersion....our children were engrossed as technology of tablets and games were smartly used for the tour. It was fun and worth visiting.
The Minigolf is the best in the Montpelier area and the rides are perfect for kids 3to 6
Great plqce for kids. I use to going there when i was young also i spent really funny moments.
