Busy beach with a lengthy expanse of sand & shallow water attracting families with children.

A beautiful, endless sandy beach that stretches for miles in both directions. The sea has a pleasant temperature, perfect for cooling off, and the waves are just right…not too high, not too calm. We went in July. There’s a nice café on the beach where you can grab a refreshing drink. However, there are too few umbrellas and sun loungers for rent, and unfortunately, access with a stroller is very difficult. We had to carry ours down to the beach. A proper ramp, especially near the café, would be a big improvement.
I just tried to walk. I thought I would have a nice time walking around sunset time. But it was horrible and not safe.
Clean beach. Very close to Barcelona Direct bus from Barcelona and T10 ticket works. Less crowded as compared to Barcelona beach. Designated beach zones specially for kite and wind surfing during autumn and winter season. Good restaurants at the beach. Train station around 1 km far. No public toilets. We encountered many jelly fishes during summer.
It's Monday evening and there are petards bombing all around. We are staying in the apartment by the beach and the kids feel scared and don't understand what is going on. I saw a kid walking from the beach crying and holding his hand, probably got hurt by a petard?.. We saw adult people together with small kids queuing to buy petards in the town.. You can see the police from time to time passing by on the pedestrian walk trying to manage those who are selling t-shirt.. The beach is long and quite mainstream. It's nice to be in the warm sun, the kids love warm water, the sand is nice. We even saw a couple of rabbits hopping in the protected area along the beach! But the petards... it's not necessarily our type of atmosphere, unfortunately...
Beautiful long stretch of sand but the water is incredibly dirty, foam and plastic and oily spots. (06.09.25) No shows for feet and toilets are only in restaurants. We tried to go further along the beach with the same result.
If your are beach person and like it quiet it’s the place to go
Nice long beach usually clean with good slow access to the sea. Especially good for families with small kids. There are showers, restrooms and few restaurants along the beach.
It's absolutely gorgeous sand-beach area with nature conservation areas and long pedestrian waking path. Unfortunately all the beaches are completely dog-prohibited not even just during the swimming season but for 365 days. And it seems to be not only due to fact that governments can't or perhaps even don't want wisely regulate or partly change local dog-politc but also due to local common opinion and attitude to the dogs being some kind of hygienic issue.. Which seems especially absurdly at the beaches where is a lot of seagalls and pigeons who definitely don't make those places sterile. And historically they have never caused non of known epidemics. Furthermore ironically they helped people quite a lot out non else but in Spain to get outside during the Covid-lockdowns. Logic is out.

Brilliant experience, particularly towards the end of the visit. The chapel is very interesting, historically. Great fun for kids.
I didn't go inside the castle, and didn't know that this was an option. Maybe the managers should consider putting up a sign with information regarding entry. It's a good walk from the town. Not too arduous, but quite taxing on a hot day. Nice landscaping and good views from the top.
This is a good historical place. It has a great view from the top of the castle. Most of the castle has been modernized, and there is a lift that goes up a few floors. It's a small castle and the tour takes about 30 minutes. It's one of the landmarks in Castelldefels. You can actually see it from the bottom of the town. There isn't much to do there, just the tour of the castle, and they show you a video of the history and how the castle was extended and also the wars that took place around the area. It's ok to view it once. We had an awards dinner there, so I'm not sure if there is any food sold there during the day.
Very nice castle with good information through signs and audio. It also offers multiple multimedia experiences (such as the church video, pirate experience and photo booths). On top is a nice view all the way to Barcelona. The staff was friendly and helpful; where normally we should have waited for timed schedules we were helped directly. The price was fair for the experience we had.
This is a really interesting place. Not your typical castle visit. The audio visual is experiences are extensive and incredibly well done. Very immersive. Fascinating history and really nice staff. It’s not huge so kids will enjoy it and not get bored. Quite a few steps but there are also lifts available so seems very accessible. It’s at the top of a big hill so be warned about that. All round fantastic experience for people of all ages. The audio guides are very good - it’s important to note that, unlike many places, the audio guides here are ESSENTIAL. If you don’t have one then the castle won’t make sense. Trust me on that.
Castell de Castelldefels is a charming spot with beautiful grounds, located not far from Barcelona. The castle itself is quite small and there’s an entrance fee. Nice for a change of scenery, but not a must-see.
Nice catle, wonderful view - next time I'll spend more time...
The castle is very nice with an interesting story. The views from the rooftop are spectacular. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Slide 1 of 8
Huge shopping mall with food supermarket, cosmetic shops and a lot of clothes shops (Calzedonia, Zara, Stradivarius etc). Good opening hours. Not a lot of people. So it is amazing place for shopping.
More difficult to rate this fabulously designed shopping centre due to the ongoing restrictions. Plenty of shops, at least one designer: Guess. A large Mercadona on the basement level. Restaurants scattered throughout, but takeaway only. There seems to be a roof terrace with restaurants or bars. However, due to the lockdown I haven't been up to the roof level. Worth a visit when in Barcelona, especially when all the restrictions are lifted
A pretty sizable shopping mall, with everything you can imagine. Cinema, groceries, clothing, games, toys, home items, etc. Was very clean, and it is open on Sundays. I ate at Udon, an Asian restaurant. The second photo is of their apple tart, which I had with matcha ice cream.
Very good and clean commercial center in Castelldefels with all the shops and brands
As a British tourist I found this shopping centre wonderful. A great selection of shops that beat the prices of UK shops hands down. Every staff member was very friendly and the added bonus was they spoke amazing English and restaurants provided English menus or discussed options.
Very quiet and small mall located between main roads. Not very accessible via walking but the selection of stores was decent for grabbing some quick fashion.
Very nice mall...not too nig not to small. Excellent shops and food market
An ordinary shopping centre. Nice Iberian prosciutto and tapas. Very affordable prices even for Macedonian standard.
