Crozon

Crozon is a town in Brittany, northwest France. It sits on the Crozon Peninsula, where medieval and 17th-century fortified towers line the Route des Fortifications. The coast near Morgat Beach is known for its multicolored sea caves, including Grotte de l’Autel. South, tiny L'île Vierge Beach is surrounded by rugged cliffs. Nearby, the House of Minerals is a museum with a collection of fluorescent minerals.

This place is a must if you travel in this area. Spectacular views, relaxed atmosphere and amazing view. Take proper shoes with you as getting to the beach is little bit tricky. Great place for picnic.
Magical. 100% worth the drive to get there

(Translated by Google) A look back at a site visited 15 years ago There were far fewer people, and the access points were still a bit "hidden," with little traffic and therefore "little damage." Today, things are different... Fortunately, this doesn't detract from the beauty of the site.
(Translated by Google) From the mineral house, you can take a path that will take you to this place. You will have superb panoramas to observe during the walk. Easy trail. If you want to access the beach at the bottom of the cove, the descent is more complicated.
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful loop starting from Saint-Norgard towards the tip of Rostudel then the GR34 towards Morgat via the Pointe de Saint-Hernot (Ile Virginie), la Grande Roche, Ménez Kador and return via the alignments of Ty ar C'huré.
(Translated by Google) Superb cove but prohibited for the moment and until further notice and given that many tourists do not respect the bans and continue to destroy access by their repeated passages, it risks being prohibited from access for a good while longer. Too bad because this superb place risks paying dearly for this incivility.
(Translated by Google) Worth the detour, frankly exotic! The view is earned after a 25-minute walk from the Maison des Minéraux in St Hernot on the Cap de la Chèvre road from Morgat. In season, prefer late morning or afternoon so as not to be overwhelmed by the waves of tourists and appreciate the beauty of the place and its exceptional side. Too bad that lazy people always try to park as close as possible to the place... a victim of its success.

(Translated by Google) Terrible service, outrageous prices, and very poor quality: this is what awaits you at the Café du Port. - Let's start with the service: it clearly takes more luck to be served in less than 15 minutes at the bar than to win the lottery. Once you get to the fateful ordering stage, you still have to deal with the particularly unpleasant "bartender." The tone is condescending, the attitude haughty, even contemptuous. You ask for two drinks, but you can't pay for them together (a curious policy). And when you come back to pay for the second, surprise: your card isn't accepted for anything under €10, a fact that's clearly posted... nowhere. And of course, the pint is already served, so you have no choice: you have to get another one. Regular friends have told us they've already paid by card for anything under this amount. - Let's move on to the prices. A 50cl mojito for €17. Yes, seventeen euros. That's the price of two full galettes in a good crêperie. Even in Paris, that price would raise eyebrows. - And the quality? Nothing to elevate the level: a mojito drowned in a cheap lemonade (the cheapest from Super U), lots of ice cubes to maximize the margin, and a tasteless beer, closer to water than malt. If you like paying a lot for a bad welcome and ordinary drinks, this place is for you. For everyone else: run away.

This is a most extraordinary place ! Notably there is one room where the lights are alternately turned on and off and special lamps make the minerals glow brightly all colours in the dark ! Stunning displays ! Lovely staff too. And the small shop is full of very good value treasures. I also enjoyed the contour sand tray - make your own landscape, and the beautiful photo room. Do not miss this amazing museum ! I can't wait to see it again ! Very VERY highly recommended.
Over expectations! A member of the museum has provided very interesting and detailed information on how the geology (but not only) of the surroundings brought to the different types of rocks present in the area. As well, the collection of fluorescent rocks is stunning! Maybe the overall content can be interesting for grown up children as it is sometimes complex to understand all the dynamics.
Brilliant place, homespun exhibits but there were some informative videos in French sub-titled in English. Loved the garden behind with the plate tectonics exhibit. The fluorescent rocks were very evocative.
A pretty diverse collection of fossils, rocks, minerals showcase the geological history of the peninsula and other adjacent topics. We had a guided tour which was very very informative, focusing on the peninsula's formation and some other general questions but the overall picture was understandable for the laymen. The garden also has dozens of examples along with the UV-collection, can only recommend the museum!
Very interesting museum, the man at the ticket booth is passionate and will give you precious information. It's a great way to spend a couple hours during a rainy day, as it happens often in Brittany. There is a free parking. It's perfect for kids too!
Probably our expectations were completely wrong. We expected some kind of general museum of minerals. This one is limited to the ones found in Brittany and then not so well displayed
Really well thought out. The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the fluorescent display.
You have to visit! The fluorescent minerals are beautiful!
