Lovely café with a great selection of freshly baked cakes and really good coffee. The sea view from the seating area is amazing – such a nice place to sit and relax. Prices are very reasonable, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly, efficient, and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the De La Warr Pavilion!
I love the De La Warr Pavillion. From the art exhibitions to the live music, festivals and the café. It’s by far my favourite seaside haunt. After an afternoon at the beach, it’s a must for a coffee and cake. The range of homemade gluten-free and vegan cakes is outstanding. My particular favourite is the gluten-free brownie. The staff are always kind and polite, too. Thank you for so many wonderful times beside the sea.
Visited here to watch a live music event... Easy to find, right on the seafront and a fairly decent car park. It was very busy and we were crammed in.... A nice bar on the 1st floor with a good range of alcoholic and soft drinks. Good sized stage for the size of the building and the standing area was large... Upstairs is the seated area, a balcony arrangement and here is where the venue lets itself down.... The area is very small and the seats are extremely cramped and uncomfortable.... No room for knees and the person sat in the row down from you, blocks the view to the stage. Aircon would be a great addition to this venue. Outside - outside is a lovely area, views out to sea with a paved and grassed area and an outside balcony on the 1st floor is great.
Lovely place inside, we had a function on the roof terrace and despite the stormy weather the views are great. There was a shop selling vinyl and an art exhibition. It looks like there are a few shows on and films are shown outside
The DLWP is a magnificent venue, offering so much to the area. Its auditorium hosts concerts, plays and stand up comedians. The galleries host a variety of different exhibitions through the year. And the cafe, with a terrace overlooking the sea, is just wonderful. The staff are polite and helpful and the food is varied and very good. One of my favourite places…
Nice multifunctional building in a modern art deco style. We saw two exhibitions there and had a tea and a blueberry milkshake in the café inside, pleasant experience, great views from the terrace.
Lovely venue, very welcoming with outstanding staff. Kid Kapichi in midsummer was always going to be a hot and busy night so they had extra bars and seating set up outside, very nice to cool down between acts. Great to see cold water available in the lobby and plenty handed out to the crowd at the front.
Wonderful art deco / modernist architecture. Spiral stairs and wonderful roof terrace etc. Excellent enthusiastic helpful staff. Great place for a music gig too.

A nice shingle beach with sand and rocks in places, quite typical of the Hastings-Brighton stretch. So why go? DINOSAURS. At low tide, if conditions are favourable and you are prepared to look carefully, you can find dinosaur tracks fossilised in the rock. Actual. Dinosaur. Footprints. DINOSAURS, dammit. Did I mention the dinosaurs?
So beautiful and pretty. Didn’t feel like uk. Me n friend called it Greece dupe 🤭. Definitely worth visiting after peak summer as that’s when it gets quiet n peaceful. And the neighbourhood is pretty small and welcoming as well. Good thing is it’s only few minutes away from the station and another bonus is for us Muslim if anyone doin a day trip is that there’s a mosque nearby as well. So it’s a perfect day out from London.
Brilliant clear and pure sandy beach Brilliant for people and land animals a like always free of rubbish. Toilets 🚻 by the shops about 5 minutes away lots of disabled access as the ground is very flat car parking in main town area around 15 minutes free for blue badge holders paid for others lots shells 🐚 to collect as well with some rare ones in there
It would be lovely if only Southern Water would stop dumping their sewage near the beach every time it rains (even after days of dry weather). You can see the water turn from turquoise to brown.
Lovely quiet place, great prom for a walk , flat surfaces for prams and bikes. Cafes spaced along. We prefer this to Hastings as it's a lot more quiet. Parking is ringo via phone or machine. Loads of it. Beach is shingle, gets very windy !
In the sunshine in April Clean pebble beach with seems like the original wooden anti erosion posts and dividers. Loads of well kept beach huts. It has a nice even tarmac surface with plenty of memorial bench seats spaced along the way. It is in places a safe distant away from traffic. A beach cafe and a a well maintained enclosed band stand.
Lovely beach. Look out for the dinosaur footprints on the rocks at low tide! There are several sets of prints of small and large iguanodon dinosaurs. They’re not always visible as the tides sometimes cover them over with sand and gravel but worth a look.
Wonderful space to enjoy and not too busy

One of the well-maintained parks in the East Sussex area. My daughter had so much fun with the sand pit. The place is clean. No rubbish.
Beautiful park by the town area. Lush greenery. Got lots of play areas for kids, excercise areas, courts other fun activites. Has a few small ponds with beautiful swans. Near to many food shops to grab a drink or snack and enjoy. Has a public toilet.
Lovely family park. Clean and well looked after. Great facilities, sports wise and the kids play park looked well enjoyed. A decent little cafe by one of the lakes.
My happy place, good to sit quietly and admire the wonder of nature. Very well maintained and excellent cafe with good coffee and cake!
A wonderful park for all ages to enjoy! First time there and will definitely be going back!
A beautiful park in Bexhill on a sunny day. There are a few ponds in the park. The children’s playground is new and suitable for kids from toddler ages to 12. There is a cafe in the middle of the park that serves drinks, cakes, and pastries. Kids are having a blast here. There is a restroom here but not too clean. People bring a mat here for picnic. There are dogs in the park.
Lovely playground with plenty of activities for all ages. Unfortunately there is no fence round the playpark to keep toddlers in and to stop them running off. Very busy on the Saturday in school holidays, and quite noisy. I worried a bit that a child being abducted wouldnt be heard screaming!
Beautfully kept park with swans and ducks. A nice way to spend an afternoon

Visited on a miserable January day after the museum had just reopened. The museum was a diverse eclectic mix of exhibits. It ranged from local history to taxidermy. It is a fascinating journey through the museum. We were there for a couple of hours and there was plenty to see. Our visit was enhanced by the wonderful friendly staff who were always on hand with additional information. There is a small entrance fee which we felt was very worthwhile. Would thoroughly recommend a visit here!
A simply superb local museum, based around the original collections and building from "ages ago!" The staff are very welcoming, especially the guy who introduced the various rooms and asked us about our favourite displays. A must visit attraction in Bexhill.
The museum is easy to locate by the park. Modest entrance fee with step and ramp access. Inside is a wide variety of exhibits, local history, collections from private explorers. A nice model railway depicting Bexhill with its 3 stations under a snow covered scene. The staff are very keen and knowledgeable and easy to talk with. Well, worth a visit and later return again to view what you missed.
We took our 7 year old grandson for the first time,he absolutely loved it, there is a whole range of things to do and lots to see. He loved the dinosaur hunt and the displays, and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 working train layouts, all interactive, a must visit, will visit again soon
A brilliant little museum at a very reasonable price. The first room was fantastic it was completely full of artifacts from dinosaur bones to Egyptian artifacts it had it all. The fashion room was wonderful and the little video in there on Bexhill was definitely worth a watch. Downstairs the railway was lovely and the staff member in the car room was very knowledgeable. The museum was also great for kids with trails in every room and interactive exhibits there was plenty to entertain the little ones. Overall, it was a perfect day out in Bexhill and definitely worth a visit.
A great museum easy to find and very welcoming. The staff are very knowledgeable and easy to interact with. Having never visited Bexhill-on-Sea before I left the museum feeling like I had been given a warm step in time with an understanding of a snip in history. The museum holds a diverse range of items from across the world. I enjoyed my visit and will be visiting again. Thanks to the team for making me feel very welcome.
Lovely little museum. Fascinating info about the dinosaur footprints, local wildlife, history, world war 2 and costumes through the eras. 7 and 4 year old loved the halloween trails, the volunteers were very knowledgeable and great at interacting with the kids. The model railways were amazing! Great value for money...
Nice museum, good to improve knowledge of local history

Despite the fact that this pool is old and a bit rough round the edges, the staff are always very helpful and willing to help with any issues. I really like the warm atmosphere and staff do their best to keep it clean. The swimming instructors have always been kind and conscientious with my grandchildren at swimming lessons. The pool is well patrolled, monitored and safe. In these difficult times not everyone can afford to join a private club. I value our public pools and long may they continue.
Staff were very welcoming and professional on entry and when signing my child up for swimming lessons. However we visited on a Sunday afternoon hopeful to experience the slide and waves as advertised on the website, but sadly they were not working. The whole facilities are quite grubby and dated looking, which is a shame as we have been looking forward to using them more often being our most local leisure centre, with such potential to offer a lot of health benefits to the surrounding communities.
WARNING DO NOT ATTEND WITH SEN CHILD! I booked swimming lessons here for my daughter as she loves water. She has autism. I got there early to get her use to smells, sounds, and to watch and take everything in she was so excited just wanted to get in and have fun. I walked to the shallow end so i could just introduce her to the water. No i was told no you cannot do that i explained her sensory autism needs but No okay fine. She was very upset with this and went in to a meltdown like any child would showing them water then not allowing them in. We waited for the class to start, they expect every child to walk through the water on there own to the middle of the pool where its the water is below there chin and my daughters tall. I wouldn’t ever teach my child to walk in to deep water! The teachers did not come over say hello see if i was okay with my child in a meltdown. So i walked round the side of the pool to them and their faces looked horrified as if to say why on earth are you bringing that over to us. They didn’t try to engage with her, talk comfort nothing i advised she has autism and nothing. I was told just to put her in the water which i did, this freaked her out setting off another meltdown the trainers were awful clearly no knowledge or training in SEN no support to me literally nothing. I felt awful, as if they didn’t want my child there, we felt like everyone was starring and judging us. I finally got my daughter and left. I went to the manager to express how i was feeling as this is the first i have felt not wanted due to my child having SEN and he just said no that wouldn’t have happened. Nothing no apology absolutely disgusting! I walked out with my daughter in tears! We were all so excited for her to start swimming lessons here and it ended like this. Never again will i set foot in that place and i advise anyone else thinking of going with children with SEN not to! I was also told by my husband other parents were laughing at my daughter! Just not a friendly supportive place! very disappointed!
Joined for gym use and swim, £48 a month, was not showed around so I asked a few questions and got told there was a free weights room, weight training machine facilities etc, so I took their word for it, then I went down for a first session...firstly the shower areas/changing rooms are absolutely filthy and need an overrall upgrade, once I got changed I went to find the "free weight room" to then find a little tiny unventilated room the size of a small bedroom with a very small amount of free weights, and 1 weight bench all old equipment, then went to find the machine room as I could not work out let alone breath, again I was met with another small unventilated room with 1 very small air conditioning unit that did nothing no windows, no doors open nothing, it was extremely hot and humid, there was about 7 or so machines all squeezed into a tiny tiny room, all very dirty, I could not work out on a machine without touching the person next to me. For 48 pounds a month I would expect a level of space, to be able to workout and be able to breath with decent air conditioning units, the place needs a full upgrade if they want to keep charging that much a month for a membership. Every other freedom leisure is 10x better in all aspects.
I used to lane swim here regularly in the evenings a few years ago (2014 - 2018) and had absolutely no complaints, it was great back then. I visited last week and was shocked at how rundown and dirty looking it's become over the years. The pool looks like it was lifted from downtown Pripyat or something! Like If you dive in, you might come out with a new superpower or some extra limbs! The water was far from crystal clear and there's a disturbing greenish-brown tint to it all. Seriously though, the pool is in dire need of a repaint and overall freshen up - It's seen much better days. Please, give Bexhill Leisure pool the tlc it needs! I thought the staff were nice at least.
Visited with my 5 year old daughter. Pool is OK. Sloped entrance which my daughter enjoyed. Showers need attention, some are broken, others kick out cold water only. Worse part are the changing rooms - absolutely filthy. Look up and there is a layer of dust and dirt in the mesh ceiling which must have taken years to accumulate. We don't want to breathe that in. Shameful hygiene.
Trying to find out the price to go swimming for a hour on your website. Are you trying to keep the price secret or something ? Why don't you put the price of stuff on your website like any normal company would ? Unbelievable you build a website with no prices very very annoying. I'll go somewhere else.
Waited for 45 minutes to enter the pool as they were understaffed. Was charged full price despite the flume and wave machine being unavailable. Absolute joke and quite honestly embarrassing! Do better freedom leisure, your community deserves better than this! If you can’t run a business efficiently then don’t run a business at all! New management is desperately needed. This is the third time I’ve experienced this, acceptable as a one off, not as a continuous issue. Improvement is desperately needed!
