Seafood market

Local products, with fresh fish market and fruits and vegetables available. The attraction was finding a Seal in the market.
This is such an amazing venue! 😀 the seafood is so fresh and there is such a great range of options. It is a good idea to visit here and have a walk around. There are a few people who are there to offer day trips and other tours around the area. Thank you to the stalls for the amazing food, which was so fresh and delicious! 😀 We will be sure to visit when we are next back
Great experience. A fish market with a lot of sea lions and birds.
Lots of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, and cheese. A great place to see sea lions, vultures, and cormorants. We even saw a night heron!
Very reasonably priced fish and sea food, cheese, fruit and spices… it gets your juices going!!! 😁
Such a lively market with animals and humans coming together for the love of seafood. The salmon here is really good and you can try ceviche of 4 different kinds of fish. Worth a visit!
Nice open market with fresh produce!!
Fresh fish and vegetables, the sea lions are very impressive and so are the birds. A bit sad for the health of the sea lions though

Botanical garden

If you are visiting Valdivia you must visit this place. It is beautiful and so peaceful. Totally worthy. I would recommend to walk there from the city. It is short and nice. I got a rainy day but still very nice walk. 😊💚💜
Google maps took me to a locked entrance, stay on Los Laureles. Good garden, some beautiful old trees so a very old park. We enjoyed the Japanese forest bathing, memorial and Miyawaki forest. The medicinal garden was not in good condition. Very peaceful walk it needs some more love and attention. Entrance was by donation.
We had a good time here. I would probably hang out by the river if I want to school here.
Excellent place, very close to the city. A lot of trees and birds.
This is an unusual botanical garden in that there are no flowers -- just huge, mature, stately trees whose grandeur and song ( in any wind) is captivating. Allow an hour to stroll, not hustle, through the experience. If you have your meditations or reading with you, allow more time. Sidelight: lots of fun student canoodling in the vistas and bushes.
Nice place to be at to connect with nature and enjoy a good reader day.It may need some signs to help turist identify certain areas.Overral, pretty good.
Cool place for hanging out or walking around. Good vibes because of all the different people that are visiting the garden.
Nice for a walk! Free entry.

There is a lack of police control but despite everything, it is a beautiful and unforgettable southern route. Back in Valdivia you can visit a brewery. (Translated by Google) The people who serve are very loving; The place is small and cozy because it is a cabin type, and therefore, there are few tables; The menu is somewhat reduced but it is quite rich, although the first is logical considering that they work in a very remote place. We rode the public bus out to Niebla from Valdivia. Pleasant half hour ride with commuters and Chilean vacationers, the caught the ferry to Corral to see the fort. Maybe spent $10 USD (equivalent). All the pubs were closed in Corral, but the famous Kuntsmann Brewery is on the way home by bus. Great lunch and beer! A bit of a wait for lunch...
Nice "castle" with lots of history behind, recommend watching a video about the history of Valdivia (there are many on YouTube), so that you can better appreciate the geo-historic location of the place. During the day play some "reconstruction" of the key battle that took place there (unsure it's worth waiting for it, maybe watching some YouTube recording is enough?). There are no facilities like public bathrooms or even parking (need to park on the crowded streets nearby), tickets cost about 2 USD per person. You may end up spending 40-50 minutes. Consider opening hours, especially in relation with ferry schedule to get there, we waited 2 hours on January to cross from Niebla.
While the stone structures are maintained for their age, the signs have sadly fallen into disrepair.
Nice place, great views, and that's all. You have to pay to get in.
Cool! For a good voluntary amount, you can also get a historic tour to the place. Learned a lot, for exmaple, how relevant and strategic this fort was for the Spanish, and more about Thomas Cochrane.
It was pretty cool. The forts of full of ruins and history. One of the forts they have a little show in and then you can take pictures with the actors.
Featured in Sharpe book 21.
Incredible place. Natural scenery and historic buildings with plenty of history. Well worth a visit!

(Translated by Google) Very nice island, with a fort that is fun to explore, the only bad thing is that it does not have bathrooms available, only 3 chemical bathrooms on one side of the fort that are in full sun and have an emetic smell. I think there should be more concern in that sense since I saw foreign tourists commenting on this and there are not a few people who go. We asked in a restaurant, I think it's the only one there near the pier, if my daughter could use the bathroom and they told us no since it was for people who consumed food, which is fine, I asked her if she bought some juices or ice creams she could use the bathroom and neither, only for people who had lunch there. Zero provision. The rest is fine, getting around is fast and nice.
(Translated by Google) Very nice panorama. It is a very quiet place. I recommend going for half a day to enjoy the beautiful views and the beach. Also for bird lovers you can observe many species both on the beach and in the forest. Be aware that the descent to the “Rocas Manceras” has a path with many trees with thorns, so you should wear thick pants. (Original) Muy lindo panorama.

(Translated by Google) I was going for the first time, I was enchanted, it is beautiful, very small, you can walk the entire way in no more than 1 hour. The beach is very quiet. On the way you find flagstone everywhere, the earth comes to shine 💚. We ran into a very nice lady on the way who invited us to see her garden, it had giant plants of about 2 meters and a viewpoint at the top of the land where you could see the corral. The journey to get there is by boat, they leave every 30 minutes app. The cost of the ticket was $1,500. There is a museum of a fort that existed in the place, access to this is worth $1,000.
