Beautiful place with plenty benches next to the river with amazing view, free parking and picnic area. Even Sunday with the parking full we didn't felt surrounded of people because it's quite big park. Also had pretty clean toilets.
Always lovely to walk around the lakes. You can also see the water ski. They are building a new bridge to the other play area but it’s not finished yet and is still fenced off as of yesterday. You have to walk the long way around.
A great place to walk and relax. There is a café and children play park. Only problem was while I was walking around the lakes, a dead baby bird was on the ground after having it's head run over by a bicycle( mountain bike ) They need to stop cyclists from going around the nature reserve lakes.
The park is big and very good for walks, dog walking, to enjoy fresh air. The car park is big but can get fill up quickly on weekends especially on warm days, durring summer school holidays even during the week days. The car park is free much thank you for the council. You can practice different water sports on the lake. Close to the car park is the cafeteria where you can enjoy food, cakes hot/cold drinks or ice cream. The foot path along the park and lakes are easily accessible for wheelchair users, strollers, push cars. Very dog friendly park. The walk around Stocker's lake is more closer to nature (not suitable for wheelchairs). A very nice add to the park is the canal that passes it. You can walk, bike, run along the footpath while enjoying nature, the quiet, seeing the long narrow boats moving along the canal and using the locks. You can spend easily few hours here. The train station is 20 minutes walk from the park.
Fantastic on a sunny day and to see the start of the sunset. One of our party saw a snake in the water near the shoreline. Car park is free and toilets by the café.
A lovely place to walk around. We took our granddaughter and saw many others with children and grandchildren. Great for walking with friends & couples too. Great to plot up for the day for a panic with family & friends. Loads of open green spaces, lovely Waterside pontoons to feed the birds or just to sit & contemplate. It's got a lovely little cafe thats clean, tidy and well kept. The public toilets are kept clean. All very well signposted to choose which route to take around the aquadrome. It really is a lovely day out in the fresh air for everyone.
Lovely place nature with toilets and Café whats Not to Like😎
Nice park, was a bit swamped last time I went there but luckily I had wellies packed, nice parking. Easy to find and good signage.

Loved the Cooking Academy - doing the Malaysian cooking all-day experience. Sarah was a lovely instructor and took the time to explain each step and helped with suggestions for substitutions if a diner had dietary requirements like needing gluten free options. The food was amazing and we got to eat whatever we could and to take home which I DID NOT SHARE BECAUSE IT WAS JUST SO AWESOME 😁 If you're thinking about learning something new and partaking in a wonderful experience - this is it. I had so much fun! Thank you Sarah! 🥰
Fantastic class of the moghul emperors feast run by Kumud, she narrated the health benefits and origins of each dish and all organized brilliantly a toy, we each had our own cooking station too, highly recommended
Fantastic cookery course. Kumud went to great lengths to explain the process start to finish. There were a small group of attendees on our course, enough for a nice ambience and also a bespoke 1-1 service. The food we cooked on the day was world class - a great course for all levels of experience. Thank you, Jack & Andrea
I attended the one day Malaysian cooking class with expert chef Sarah Levy. Fantastic, informative hands on class learning about the spices and breadth of Malaysian cuisine Sarah was a knowledgeable instructor, whose clear instructions and tips and tricks along the way meant that I got so much more out of this class than just a new set of recipes to try. Thank you so much!
Thoroughly enjoyed a days cooking at The Cooking Academy. They laid on an extra date for us and I just loved not only the wonderful food and flavours but the genuine science behind what we eat, from the very knowledgeable and highly trained Kumud Gandhi. We had fun, tasted and learnt so much and went home with numerous tasty dishes for home consumption. Thoroughly recommend. Not cheap but worthwhile.
An excellent day out. We had the Indian Cookery Course, and learnt new cooking skills handling spices and techniques to make delicious meals at home. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience, attended the Indian Cooking day … the journey in the morning through the spices were fantastic and so informative, followed by putting the knowledge into experience of cooking and showing the difference how spices flavour meats differently. An excellent venue, super friendly staff and Kumud is exceptionally knowledgeable and this shows, not just in Indian cuisine but in food, flavour and techniques. Highly recommended and will be back for other classes too!
The half day Indian cooking class has really helped develop my knowledge of the techniques required to cook beautiful dishes. There was a great balance of theory and demonstration from Kumud, the tutor, who then guided us through the cooking of our own dishes. I have already recreated the meals at home and highly recommend the experience.

This place is Nepalese 🇳🇵 ran and wonderful curry’s they produce. Massive menu and big beer selection All Nepal 🇳🇵 and Indian 🇮🇳 food. Will come again
Recently held an annual function (one of many) here at the White Bear, and the food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Great value for money considering the amount of food that they supplied and some really tasty options.
Fantastic experience. The food was amazing. Have been quite a few times and each time is as good as before. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I look forward to coming back again
This is a regular for me and "the lads". We come here for drinks and food probably once every couple of weeks. When we come here we stick to the mix grills, starters like chilli paneer, mogo, mushrooms and lamb. Coupled with naans, dardka dhal and poppadoms. We know what we want, what to expect and it hits the spot each time. The food is always served hot and sizzling away. The staff are always welcoming and as regulars greeted with handshakes and lovely pleasantries. As part of a football group, we've also had several larger gatherings here and they have catered really well for us. We get the private area on the side of the building with a buffet option that we select. Again, even as a buffet, the food is always fresh and tastes great. This is a great place to have a drink and meal with your mates whilst catching up in a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a local pub to check out.
One of the best curry restaurants I’ve ever been to. We have been going to the white bear for a number of years now on and off. Originally I’m from Edinburgh and when friends come to visit. They always cannot wait to come down here and go to the white bear. The food and menu is top drawer and is always a struggle to try and choose an order. Always. Staff are kind and friendly. I absolutely love coming here and whenever a trip is in the diary it’s always something to look forward to. My friend even said he’d be happy to fly from Edinburgh just for dinner at the white bear. Sensational stuff. 😋
Good pub that has Indian and Nepalese food. Really busy so need to book. Food is delicious which is why it’s so popular. Service is not so good, they forgot to serve our first course but gave it with the main course and didn’t charge for it. They need to balance good service with being busy and popular.
We held a wake at the pub before it opened at 3.00pm. It was an excellent venue with first class food and service. Arun made sure our requirements were met for the day in question and nothing was too much trouble. Once the pub opened we had a large quiet area reserved for us to one side of the pub for those that needed to stay longer. Well recommended for any private gathering or event.
Wow! Is all we can say about this place. Food was so tasty. And portion sizes were huge. Staff were so friendly and accomated us so professionally. I recommend the Lal Mas for the spice lovers. And the Rogan Josh for the mild lovers. We will be back!

Had a fantastic time playing the High Course. The fairways and greens were in decent condition and the pace of play was smooth. Big thanks to Ben who went above and beyond - my last minute booking was handled efficiently and he also gave me a tour of the beautiful clubhouse. Looking forward to coming back to play the West Course next time.
We celebrated a work do here, and it was truly unforgettable. The manicured grounds are nothing short of spectacular—perfect for photos or a leisurely stroll between events. Inside, the interior is elegant and thoughtfully designed, striking the ideal balance between grandeur and warmth. And the food was simply outstanding: each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Overall, Moor Park delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Fantastic grounds with deep history. The club house is simply stunning. Very good food and drink options that are reasonably priced. Great golf
Absolutely brilliant venue. Nice and clean. Brilliant staff helpful. Food was amazing. Wheelchair and Disability access. Toilet facility available. Ample Parking facility available with extra parking spaces. Members only golf club unfortunately. Architecture and decor was superb and kept so neat and tidy with history of the building.
Pretty good golf course. Played the upper course. Fairways are decent, the rough is maintained and the greens are in great condition. Signage for the next tees could be better. Some of the holes are pretty tight and wayward fairway shots can easily find adjacent greens or tee boxes. £8-9 for pint is pretty steep but you can understand why when you look at the clientele.
Marvellous courses. Managed to play both in the last couple of months. Always made to feel welcome.
A fantastic place! What a building, steeped in history. Had a family meeting there, buffet was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it.
Having lost a dear friend, I thought it would be nice to give them a fine farewell at one of the rooms in Moor Park Mansion. As an ordained church minister I was tasked with organising this celebration of life. Unfortunately I felt somewhat abused by one of your members telling me to get off the road to the mansion as it is for members only and cycling is not allowed (I saw no signage prohibiting my chosen transport), maybe if I chose to use my Maserati/Porsche/Skoda that may not have happened. I can only assume that as a cyclist he felt I was not worthy of using the mansion therefore some judgement and discrimination based on my transport was in order. As a consequence I decided this is not the place for a celebration of life, and as such I carried on past the mansion deciding not to waste my time or money at this establishment as I have done in the past. This occurred on 01/10/25 at 11:15 on the lower green. I'm sure 99.9% of members are civilised and wonderful ambassadors, but alas this one slipped through your net.

We took our Grandchildren here this afternoon and enjoyed a short Canal Trip. The people were lovely and the trip took around 40 minutes. We then went for a walk around the Lakes and fed the various water birds, Swans,Canada Geese, Cootes and Gulls. We all had a lovely time, its well worth a visit and very reasonable prices. See photos. Highly recommended.
We were travelling home from Milton Keynes to Dover, and wanted to avoid motorways. I noted in advance that this canal centre would be a good stop for coffee. We enjoy canal locations and coffee. We parked at Tesco car park, 5 mins walk away, and after buying some drink, crisps and sweets to 'legitimise' our parking, we walked the short distance to the canal. Apart from the canal centre shop and museum, there is a small food and drink outlet. Outside seating only by the edge of the canal. Five star food/health rating. We ordered two coffees, sat and watched the canal side activity. Schoolchildren being given a short ride, a poodle, obviously very excited, but under control, cyclist and runners using the canal path, and canal boats. After coffee we took a 20 minute walk along the uneven path alongside which were mostly unkempt canal barges, which in themselves were interesting to look at. The owners we spoke to were friendly, and living their lives.
Nice place near pinner and rickmansworth. Boating option available from 6 pound onwards and 15 for family. Since it is july and heatwave is ON, it was noce experience to hop on the boat and traverse in the water canal. There is a nice cafe called cafe@81 which provides food options as well. We also have the boat shop, which has lot of souvenirs, hats, ice creams, etc. Overall very nice place near to rock
What a fantastic afternoon. I haven't been that relaxed in forever. Only £6 each for a 45 minute relaxing ride between locks.
We had the pleasure of doing a boat tour here today. It is almost like a secret,I did not know about it til a little while ago. It is a stones throw away from the Aquadrome and the meeting point is in a lovely sort of bucolic area with three rivers and a small house which is the reception/shop area for the tour. The small shop is lovely and sells local goods too. The outdoor waiting area is lovely with loads of tables and a beautiful riverside view. The boat tour is great value and lovely. It was a very peaceful and relaxing experience. The boat goes very slowly so it is very relaxed, but the 40 minutes of the boat tour goes very quickly. They do boat tours every 45 minutes here. We went at 11:00 on a Monday morning and it wasn’t busy on the tour at all so if you are planning to go at that time there is no real need to book way in advance, maybe see what the weather is like and give them a phone call if the weather is suitable. Thank you so much Chris(our driver)and to all the lovely and friendly team for making it such a wonderful start to the week for me.
Staff so very helpful. Had a super trip on the canal with family with Skipper Brian, sun shone, would highly recommend
Fantastic boat trip with lovely crew. We also got to see inside a Narrow boat with original style fittings as part of our trip.
The room was quiet, clean, tidy, and comfortable. But the outstanding aspects of our stay was the sheer quality of service led by Ben and Luciano backed up with other team members Cherise & Elaine whom I believe were a credit to their company, so well done

The staff at The Coach and Horses made us very welcome for a family gathering prior to a wedding. At all times they were friendly, attentive and reliable. They quickly made significant adjustments to the seating arrangements to accommodate our group of 11 in a different area of the premises better suited to our limited mobility. The food was excellent and chef extremely attentive to complex dietary requirements within our party. We ate well, the food was very good and the customer service excellent. We will certainly return when we can all gather again from the different corners of the globe where we live, but people in Australia and Sweden can expect to hear The Coach and Horses recommended for good service and attention to allergens
Fantastic food, great service and great beer. Highly recommended. Annie was our waitress and was brilliant, really attentive and ensured we had everything we needed.
Very tasty and abundant food. Great service (thank you, Alex!), great music. Beautiful, old pub (1741). Spacious. The after-six pm roast 2-for-1 is great value for money. Try the pork roast.
Lovely old pub with great quirky decor inside. A lovely beer garden out the back and AMAZING nachos!! The roast dinners are fab too but roast potatoes aren’t the best. We made a complaint and the manager was so so helpful and didn’t charge us for one of our meals. Everything else was brilliant and we will definitely return again to sit out in the lovely garden in the sun ☀️
very nice food. All are good taste. nice presentation of food. the shop environment is well decorated and good temperature, clean and happy mood. We reserved table and give us a quite comfy and private area. Staffs comes in often to check with your needs. Price reasonably. kids meals are good, mix and match to your preference. If you would try the single scoop adult ice cream £1.5, please order before 9pm. good for friends gathering and nice food.
A nice pub with a huge pub garden & hard working staff. The food service is quick, but pretty average. They definitely need a projector for showing sports because the screens are too tiny & a few better stools because they're very uncomfortable.
I’ve visited a couple of times this summer, and have been thoroughly impressed. Service is friendly and efficient, the beer is good (and decently priced), and the food is delicious. You would be amiss not to visit!
I’ve eaten here many times before and never had an issue, but this was by far the worst service I’ve had here — and in a long time anywhere. We booked for the Sunday 2-for-1 roast offer at 6pm with 2 side portions to share. One meal arrived at 6:20pm with one side, while the second roast didn’t show until gone 7pm after chasing staff twice. It was dropped on the table without apology or cutlery, by which point the cauliflower cheese was stone cold and the stuffing balls never arrived at all. Staff only checked in as I was finishing my last bite, far too late to put things right and get the stuffing from the kitchen. The food itself was fine, when it came, but the service was shockingly poor. No offer of a refund, no attempt to recover the experience. Sadly, we won’t be returning for food or watching the football — The Western will now get our custom instead for these experiences.
