Children's farm
Hounslow Urban Farm, located on Faggs Road in Feltham, is recognized as one of London's largest community farms. Covering 29 acres, the farm is home to a diverse range of domestic and exotic animals such as pigs, rabbits, ducks, alpacas, peacocks, snakes, and Thai water dragons. Visitors can enjoy close interaction with the animals through daily activities like owl-flying displays and animal handling sessions.
This place is fantastic! The staff is super friendly,, and the place has a great vibe. The animals are well looked after, and you can even feed some of them. They also have a fabulous show where you can see and touch different animals, like reptiles. Plus, there's an amazing soft play area! Plenty of parking.
D D — Google review
Lovely little farm, a good range of animals, from small to big! The farm animals are all so gentle and you can buy a bag of food to feed them just for £1. Lots to do here with kids! Rides and soft play! We didn't eat here but there is a small tea room. Lots of parking and good area! Right next to Heathrow which we liked but not ideal for everyone as it is noisy! Only thing that we didn't like was the small animals birds etc aren't in very good conditions..
Molly F — Google review
Hounslow Urban Farm offers a charming escape for families looking to connect with nature without venturing too far from the city. While the selection of food options and animals may be somewhat limited, the overall experience remains enjoyable. The farm features a quaint atmosphere, nice for kids to explore and learn about various animals in a hands-on environment. The accessibility is a significant plus, with ample parking available, making it convenient for families to visit. The entrance fee is also quite reasonable, adding to the overall appeal as a budget-friendly outing. Although the range of food choices could be expanded, the quality of what's available is satisfactory for a casual day out. The friendly staff enhances the experience, always ready to answer questions and engage with visitors. In summary, Hounslow Urban Farm is a good spot for families, offering a unique opportunity to interact with some animals and enjoy a leisurely day in a peaceful setting. With a bit more variety in food and animal exhibits, it could easily earn a five-star rating, but it’s still well worth a visit for an enjoyable family day out.
Matin A — Google review
Me and my boyfriend went here for a fun day out on a weekday, not busy at all. We paid £8 each so pretty good pricing. We bought some feed also (£1 per bag) to feed some goats and sheep! Used to go here as a kid so it was nice to visit again as an adult 🤣 Very adorable animals including some exquisite looking owls. We attended a talk with 4 young keepers who were very knowledgeable about the animals they were showing. We were even able to hold the animals which was an incredible experience. I recommend this place for all ages!
Caroline L — Google review
A great fun day out! We were so lucky to go when we did, it was the summer ☀️ party for kids, swimming pool and foam party in full swing. The farm is so lovely, lots of feeding the animals which is so fun. They also had a animal enclosure experience going on, which was amazing, my husband and I really enjoyed it, it gave boy the confidence to see and handle different animals, my husband had a snake 🐍 around his arms, I held a turtle (which I have never done) we also took the chance to hold insects, he may only be 2 but it shows him not to be afraid. A great experience! We had a bite to eat for lunch, all hand made, it was the best tuna cheese toastie ive never had. I'd go back just for that alone..lol Food reasonably priced, kids lunch meal deal too and staff were lovely and full of fun. So many things here to enjoy, a great day out.
Megan S — Google review
It was so fun!!! We got to visit animals and stroke them too. We visited a show at 3:30pm where we touched the exotic animals and then we got to join in the lamb feeding at 4:30pm too (tickets needed for this though). There are so many animals and the alpacas happen to love taking selfies with visitors.
Nippety N — Google review
Nice place to visit, will keep your toddler busy for the day. Very interactive with the exotic animals encounter and plus others. Decent cafe and plenty of parking spaces. Shame it's not very advertised cause we didn't know about it till last week.
Mihai S — Google review
Quite expensive to get in and see a few animals but you do get nice and close to them. Good place to feed sheep and goats and alpacas. The exotic animal encounter was good being able to handle snakes, skinks, turtles and cockroaches. Good little cafe. Children enjoyed the soft play.

Nice green area. Not very clear, but this is up to all of us. Good for the day to walk around or have a picnic.
Bobica R — Google review
There’s a range of smaller well maintained trails that come off the main trail. The heath has lots of history and wildlife, look carefully and you’ll spot them. Joins up to crane park too if you’re looking to do a long distance trek or run, or go eastbound at the river to sites like Allianz stadium and harlequins. Overall a good size space. Different landscapes and a variety of plants and flowers.

Visitors can explore the architecturally impressive house and take leisurely walks through the meadows, woodlands, and towards Middle Lake. Lovely park to go for a walk picnic etc. They have toilets available. Great open green spaces, loads of trees, cafes, kiosk for snacks. Option to hire bikes. You have to pay for parking if not a member of National Trust. Trails are fun, and scenes are beautiful. Cows, horses, ducks, Swan, geese, etc.

We decided to come here for a nice little Sunday walk and had a beautiful day! While still in London, it really feels like you’re outside the city. Really couldn’t believe this was here! Lovely lakes and walking trails and great for dogs!

Osterley Park truly is a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, parking was easy and stress free, and we were warmly welcomed by knowledgeable staff who made the history of the house come alive. The main entrance is stunning, with beautiful art and fascinating stories to discover throughout the rooms. Despite visiting on a rainy day, we still enjoyed wandering the gardens and pond, which added to the charm of the visit. We can’t wait to return in the summer to see the grounds in full bloom. A wonderful mix of history, art, and tranquillity… highly recommended.

Osterley Park is a beautiful green escape in West London. The grounds are expansive, peaceful, and perfect for walking, jogging, or just enjoying nature. The lake, gardens, and woodland trails are well kept and offer plenty of space for families, dog walkers, and anyone wanting fresh air away from the city rush. The historic house is also worth visiting – it’s full of character and gives a real glimpse into the past. The National Trust staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the café is a nice spot for tea and cake after a stroll. Parking is available, though it can get busy on weekends, so arriving early is a good idea. Overall, Osterley Park is a wonderful place to spend a few hours or even a whole day – a perfect mix of history, nature, and relaxation.
M A — Google review
This is situated off a busy road from all sides. Parking is available but to members only it's free. There is usually on street parking outside the park on weekends and all other times extortionate prices. Excellent place to visit both from a natural and historical point of view. Lots of walkers, runners, dog walkers come here from early morning and throughout the day. I particularly liked the upkeep of the park, ponds and wildlife. You could spend all day spotting wildlife.

London Museum of Water & Steam

Mentioned on
4 lists
Museum
Historic Sites
The London Museum of Water & Steam, formerly known as the Kew Bridge Steam Museum, is a Victorian pumping station that offers a unique insight into London's water supply history. It houses the world's largest collection of working Cornish engines and features hands-on exhibits where visitors can explore the city's water story. The museum also provides interactive activities and a steam locomotive ride on weekends.
We spent 3 hours fully investigating the wonderful and varied exhibits here, which are all extremely well done, detailed, and explained with videos and descriptive labels. An extra bonus was the current resident exhibition, Tender Machines by Dr Jasmine Pradissitto. Her additions of huge printed silks with artistic renderings of conceptual art were colourful and complemented the machinery. The dried flowers and arrangements placed in many locations were artistically presented and the sound compositions that played throughout provided an excellent background for the visit. The variety of engines, pumps, and exhibits about water and steam was superb and we will be back on a Steam Up day when they fire up the working engines. Notable is the largest engine in the world which completely occupies a huge multistory building and it has the largest collection of Cornish engines in the world, including the world’s largest working single cylinder steam engine and the only complete in-situ Bull engine. We were present during the May STEAM Explorer water engineering course for youths interested in volunteering and witnessed an eager group of youths being educated in the detailed workings of a major water pumping plant. Highly recommended!
Charlie R — Google review
A wonderful museum, particularly for those interested in industrial heritage and steam engines. To see and hear these magnificent, historic machines in motion on a steam up day is just fantastic. There's also lots to see in the informative static displays. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and helpful. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Steve C — Google review
It is a great place to see working history. Staff members were amazing and very helpful. There is something for every age, and if you are with your little one outside, it is a perfect spot for kids to learn how the water flows are working( just look for a sunny day, it's wet and fun). Also, i will recommend checking in advance the website for additional information on the steam train.
Kostadin I — Google review
Went there with my children they very liked to see giant steam engines and learned how they were working and pumping the water to the city. Not for only children also good for adults. There is a different world under the building I wish I could have seen this part it would be wonderful.
Erkan A — Google review
That’s a very interesting place with old steam engines and pumps. The museum is pretty good for children because you can find a lot of interactive stuff there
Timofei D — Google review
Great museum to learn about how steam steam engines work, and how they are used to provide water from Thames to London city in the last century. To see the original steam engines in their original place is great.
Kaan O — Google review
Absolute gem! We loved our visit here! The day we visited was a 'steam up' day so all the incredible engines and pumps were working, including a steam melody maker! Little steam train running for the kiddies too. All the volunteer staff very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Great displays educating about water supply, disease, greedy utility owners ... all very thought provoking

The theatre is known for its intimate setting where the audience can be in close proximity to the performers on stage. Throughout the year, it offers diverse cultural performances and events.
A great small local theatre - we always visit for pantomime by Hounslow Arts Centre - the place needs a revamp and they are fund raising for this - everyone needs to donate to the cause!
Huzaifa K — Google review
Terrible experience. Lighting was so poor. Heating wasn't working. The technician was so rude and uncollaborative. Once is a lifetime dance performance of our dear daughter was so messed up. Even after complaining no actions was taken. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY. AVOID EVEN IF IT'S FREE.
Keshav P — Google review
Needs a huge revamp as when went many people were split up as seats were not able to sit on. Hand rests broken, stuffing on seats literally falling out of the worn fabric. It would be nice they renovated it though.
Esha — Google review
Community theatre in a shopping centre. Theatre is raked straight into stage so you are face to face with actors. Great fun as they do Panto and the kids are literally under the noses of the characters.

Nature & Parks
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in Richmond is a renowned destination featuring an extensive collection of trees and flowers from all over the world. Visitors can explore vast gardens, expansive greenhouses, and a treetop walkway. The gardens are home to rare and threatened plants housed in the largest Victorian glasshouse globally. Additionally, there are family-friendly exhibitions and events such as Kew the Music, a week-long music festival with acclaimed performers like Lewis Capaldi.
Spent a lovely few hours in Kew Gardens. Even in early October, many flowers in bloom. Colours were just starting to turn on the trees, lovely vistas everywhere, interesting conservatories. Nice lunch in in Orangery. Highly recommend a visit. Need a few hours.
Joanne F — Google review
The autumn colours at Kew are simply spectacular and worth the visit alone. The foliage was at its peak, and the landscape was incredibly beautiful. Do dress warmly though, as it gets cold in the late afternoon. One drawback for evening visitors: the shop closes considerably earlier than the advertised time. Staff began asking people to leave at 5:40 PM, and the shop was completely closed by 5:50 PM. So, if you're counting on buying gifts at the end of your trip, make sure you visit the shop with plenty of time to spare.
YUHAN T — Google review
We visited here for the first time ever last weekend, despite our Daughter living in London. We bought tickets online so that upon arrival they were promptly scanned, no queue whatsoever. Where do I start, the gardens are stunning and the place is so vast. We walked around the perimeter path to start, then we walked everywhere, the large glass houses and conservatories are amazing, there is so much to see. Amenities are great, lots of choices for food, we ate at a Orangery restaurant in the grounds under the grape vines (al fresco dining) the food was amazing, where a main with drinks was only £66 for 3 adults. These gardens are predominantly wheelchair accessible too. We thoroughly enjoyed the Treetop Walkway (which has a lift and stairs) so pushchair users were also able to go up, the views were fantastic. The day was warm, so there were families enjoying picnics in the relaxing grounds. Prepare to sieve a whole day, and for the entrance fee considering this is London, we found the prices to be very reasonable indeed. There is just so much for the whole family. Facilities are extremely good too, with accessible toilets, changing places toilet, baby feeding room, baby change, shop, cafe, information, and water fountains throughout the gardens, there is also a prayer/reflections room, and finally a bus stop. Visiting is a must.
Victoria J — Google review
It is one of the most famous and important gardens in the world. It is a historic landscape garden in southwest London, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Charles Darwin’s contributed to Kew Gardens significantly, mainly because Kew houses a large part of the plant specimens he collected during his famous voyage aboard the HMS Beagle from 1831 to 1836. Around 450 of the approximately 1,400 plant specimens Darwin gathered are preserved at Kew, with these collections still actively studied and digitized. Great experience with really a lot of different impressions: - areas with plants from all over the world - treetop walkway Kew Gardens is renowned for its extraordinary glasshouses, which house diverse plant collections from across the globe. The key glasshouses include: - The Palm House: Built between 1844 and 1848, the Palm House is one of the most iconic Victorian glasshouses. It features a tropical rainforest environment and hosts many rare and endangered tropical plants, including the oldest potted plant in the world, - Temperate House: The largest Victorian glasshouse in the world, the Temperate House houses around 10,000 plants of 1,500 species from regions including Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas. - Water Lily House: Built in 1852 and designed by the same architect and ironmaker as the Palm House, the Water Lily House shelters aquatic plants including tropical water lilies. - King George III‘s house King George III’s house in Kew Gardens is known as Kew Palace, also called the Dutch House. Originally built in 1631 as a silk merchant’s mansion, it became the smallest royal palace and served as the summer home of King George III in the 18th century. George III and his wife Queen Charlotte spent many happy summers there with their large family. The palace and its gardens provided a private, intimate retreat from public life, where the king could live more normally without the usual royal ceremony. Really a great experience and you have to plan enough time - or even several visits.

My new favorite place in London. No matter the season, it’s always beautiful and full of life, with so much space to explore and unwind. My personal favorite is the Princess of Wales Conservatory, where you get to see stunning orchids and unusual plant species. It brought out my inner child who loves water, tropical fish, and that feeling of quiet wonder.
Kim T — Google review
This is an amazing place you must visit if you like being outdoors. Let your children run in the park. And if you are interested in seeing up close some exotic plants you will be really surprised at the number of different plants. There are so many plans you can see so don’t miss the Lillypond and Princess Diane‘s cactus place. Visit the beehive or have a picnic in the picnic area.
Tautvydas K — Google review
Visited during bank holiday! Perfect weather! Blazing hot sun but that’s fine as there’s loads of places to find and hitch under shade. The park is well kept and looks fantastic. We must’ve walked around for 5-6 hours. The park is really amazing. I took a trolley with me loaded with blankets and food and stuff which was great as there’s no restrictions on that. The family and kids loved the day out here definitely will be back for Christmas lights!

Absolutely wonderful day out for the entire family, absolutely huge variety of plant life to enjoy! It's all extremely well looked after and all of the staff are so wonderful and well informed! Loads of toilets around and a nice selection of cafés to enjoy! If your deep in to your plants you could easily kill an entire day here!

Castle
Syon Park is a historic estate located near Kew Gardens, boasting vast landscaped grounds and a Grade I-listed building. It is the last surviving ducal residence in London, home to the Duke of Northumberland and encompassing 40 acres of beautiful gardens within 200 acres of parkland. The estate features the stunning Great Conservatory and offers an idyllic venue for weddings, accommodating intimate or extravagant celebrations.
The ticket for the garden entrance was about £15 and to me that was well worth it. The garden was beautiful. The conservatory match Kew Gardens for its beauty with a small lake to walk around. Another major plus is Syon park garden was very quiet and perfect if you want an outdoor space without the crowd.
Poom S — Google review
Syon Park has both public and private areas. The public side is good for walks, while the private section has nice views by the water and shady spots for picnics. I’ve taken my baby daughter there a few times, and it’s a peaceful place. The entrance fee is £6, which seems a bit high for a park, but the private area makes it worth it. I haven’t been to Syon House yet, but I think it costs around £13 to enter. Overall, Syon Park is a nice place to enjoy nature and spend time outside.
Tarik R — Google review
I had a great experience at Yon Park. The area is well-maintained, with clean walking paths and plenty of green space to relax or enjoy a picnic. There’s a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for unwinding, and the park is family-friendly with enough space for kids to run around. I especially appreciated the shaded seating and how quiet it was compared to more crowded parks. My only reason for not giving five stars is that a few facilities could use some updates, like the restrooms and signage. Overall, though, it’s a lovely spot worth visiting!
Jasmine — Google review
Lovely small park/garden to walk around. Free garden entry for RHS members. It would cost £6 something to upgrade and see the house. The short walk takes about 45mins around the lake, with stops to see the outdoor photo exhibition. Plenty of benches around. When driving, use the new exit for a much quicker get away, as there are lots of road works going on there. Be patient with traffic coming to Syon Park!
Carmen L — Google review
Syon is a photographer’s dream! You can’t get much more light & airy than a glasshouse, and The Great Conservatory is a breathtaking example. The ceremony room, the library, the courtyard – the choice of backdrops was endless. Everything has such a luxurious, elegant feel!

Long stretched green field with Syon house and a huge Hillier Garden which is famous for outdoor garden equipment. Its lovely to view such a huge setup which sells everything garden. Syon House closes at 4:30 pm.
Mominah — Google review
If you can't afford to pay the entry fee, there is interesting stuff to look at for free, such as history boards on historic buildings, the general shop, a garden centre, garden out~buildings for sale and a cafe with outside tables.
Star C — Google review
A lovely relaxing afternoon walking the gardens of Syon park. We firstly stopped to have tea and cake at the restaurant, which was very tasty. Unfortunately we didnt have alot of time to look around the Gardens but luckily we were still able to see most of it, as we only had 2 hours. I love the main bridge over looking the river, very picturesque, especially this time of year, coming out of summer into autumn, all the autumnal colours coming though. The building is stunning, love the ceiling and all the pillars and beautifully filled with flowers and tall plants. The other little part I loved was this particular tree further on in the park, it was a lovely little spot to relax, so I stay there for 10 minutes and did a bit of meditation, it was surrounded by a little rock pool but filled with moss. We will come again when we have more time and look around the garden centre and the food shops.

Absolutely lovely little museum over three floor within the heart of Gunnersbury park. There are all sorts of exhibitions and they change fairly frequently. The history of the place as well as eider Acton and london is by far the most interesting, especially if you live in the area. Definitely recommend!

Free museum with toilets available. Good museum with a mix of historical, cultural, and current community of the Ealing area. The current state presents the wealth of the Rothschild family in the 1800s. Those elaborate ceiling decor fixtures left me in such awe towards the craftsmanship. They have a small souvenir shop right at the entrance where you can get ice-cream too!

Gunnersbury Park Museum is a charming local museum set in a lovely historic building. It’s free to enter, which is always a bonus. The exhibits offer some interesting insights into the area's past, but overall it feels a bit limited and could benefit from more interactive displays or updated content. Still, it’s a quiet, pleasant place for a short visit, especially if you're already enjoying the park.

Park is lovely - boating lake yet to have boats operating in early May. Museum exhibition very disappointing. Rothschild rooms sparse but fabulous although without furniture. Gardens by museum are glorious.

Gunnersbury Park Museum opened in 1929 and has a large and incredibly varied collection of around 50,000 museum and archive items. Our diverse collections provide an insight into the heritage and culture of Ealing and Hounslow’s past and present populations.

As a wedding planner, it's important to learn more about the venues near you. Gunnersbury Park House and Orangery is a stunning venue to hold your wedding. The Rothschild Rooms is an excellent venue to have your wedding reception. The Orangery on the edge of the lake, is a fabulous backdrop for your photos; in summer with the gardens at full bloom, I couldn't think of somewhere better to hold your nuptials.

An amazing museum that is free to visit with beautiful park. It is also a reasonable size and has friendly staff. We'll worth the visit with a free exhibition and the park has a Cafe, mini golf course, football pitch beautiful scenery it's just out of this world. I was there for ages just walking around and looking at flowers, buildings and reading the signs and I really enjoyed myself.

A fun little addition to a visit to the park, but it is a small museum. Some history of the area/life back in the day. They have a Dalek as well. It is quite simple in the end. There are some beautiful rooms which would probably be nice to hire as a venue.

The Musical Museum in Brentford is a three-story museum that houses an impressive collection of self-playing musical instruments, including musical boxes, toys, wurlitzers, player pianos, orchestrions, and violin players. The museum also features a recreated shopping street and stage area for performances. Located near Heathrow, the museum offers a 230-capacity concert hall and cinema where music enthusiasts can enjoy live performances throughout the year.
The Musical Museum is a little treasure in the heart of Brentford. Really well worth a visit, especially with a guided tour, that includes demonstrations of instruments. Our guide, Marcus, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. All the staff were very nice. I learnt a lot about ancient mechanical instruments I didn’t know about. It was so lovely! Really impressive to see the Mighty Wurlitzer. I strongly recommend taking the time to visit and also checking their events (concerts, dance, cinema…). The Musical Museum is a wonderful gem!

A hidden gem for music lovers. The collection spans centuries of musical history, from antique harpsichords to rare violins and early pianos. Well-curated and atmospheric, with some interactive elements. It’s not very big, but what’s there is rich and beautifully presented. A rewarding visit overall. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.

We visited the Musical Museum on Saturday and had such a wonderful experience. Our guide, Marcus, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and his companion Alex was equally brilliant in bringing the history of the instruments to life. A real highlight was seeing the magnificent Wurlitzer come to life on stage, absolutely breathtaking! The whole visit felt special and full of charm. We’re already planning our next trip back, especially to catch one of the silent cinema screenings. A true hidden gem, highly recommended!

We spent two hours at the Music Museum in Brentford before heading to Kew Gardens, and it was absolutely fantastic! The collection is fascinating, and the guided tour really brings everything to life — highly recommended. So many wow moments seeing and hearing the instruments in action. A real hidden gem and well worth a visit!

A trip down memory lane of the different musical instruments made since the sixties. A great day out! You can get a tour too. At the end you hear a concert of a Wurlitzer- great fun!

What an incredible experience. This is not a museum where you stare at artefacts through toughened glass. Of course, some items are protected, but you can get up close and personal with many of the exhibits. However, it was the people at the museum that made the experience so special. From the moment we bought our ticket, we felt welcomed. The tours were informative, friendly, and interactive. There was a perfect blend of knowledge, passion, and informality that gives people the space to absorb the ingenuity of historical musical automation. Added to this, there were live performances, demonstrations, and many opportunities to discuss (or even play with) items of interest. We had planned to go for an hour, then head to Kew Gardens. But, stayed for over three hours! Personally, I loved the Gershwin piano and the Wurlitzer. But it was the people who work there that made the experience so special. Out of all the museums and galleries I have visited over the years, this one will forever live in my heart. A huge thank you to all. I will certainly be back.

Gordon Ramsay Plane Food

$$$$affordable
Breakfast restaurant
Gordon Ramsay Plane Food at London Heathrow Airport is a stylish restaurant and bar offering superior dining with airport views. The open kitchen allows guests to observe their food being prepared, adding to the unique experience. The restaurant also features a separate cocktail bar and ample seating with fantastic runway views. While some dishes received mixed reviews, such as the sea bass being perfectly cooked but underwhelming in presentation, the Caesar salad stands out as a delicious highlight.
Perfectly located just after the security gates in Terminal 5, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food is a great stop for a proper meal before your flight. We had the fish and chips and lobster linguine, as the rest of the menu wasn’t halal — and both dishes were absolutely delicious. Flavourful, fresh, and served in very generous portions. The setting is stylish yet relaxed, and the location is ideal for travellers looking to unwind right after security. A great experience overall and well worth a visit if you’re passing through Heathrow!

Ordered the chicken wings which were delicious - very crispy too, and well sauced. And for my main had fish and chips. Fish was a bit bland tasting but okay, but the chips were not chips... they were fries. For £24 I was hoping it'd at least be traditional. Tartare sauce was nice, as were the peas which again were not traditional mushy peas but were nice. My main gripe was with the service. I sat at a small table by one of the tablet screens and the tablet itself and the vessle it rests in were filthy. Service was virtually non existent as you are directed to book via an app. Miserable server (woman, middle aged, south east asian) really needs some advice on how to give service with a smile... rather laughably there was a 15% service charge added to my bill which I told her to remove. No way did she deserve a 15% tip. Overall, the food was decent but nothing special. Would definitely recommend the wings though, they were great.

Was a good experience with the food being very well made, after a while the batter on the fish tasted a bit doughy well bland. The beer was refreshing and a peaceful environment a typical airport atmosphere very private and closed off from other ppl around you. The waiting staff are exceptional with great knowledge of the menu and recommendations was really appreciated. Overall pretty much on par for the price point for such an restaurant at the airport.

We were really surprised with this food at the airport. We didn't do the reservation but waited only 5 min to be seated. The service was great, very nice and quick . The waiter was really good and pleasant. Food was great, we enjoyed burgers, beet salad and fish on skewers. It was a lot of food and we finished everything. Highly recommend to visit.
Marika Y — Google review
Hello Gordon. So the food is pretty good, the salmon teriyaki needs some work. A bit dry and the overall execution of the dish is a bit clumsy. Pretty nice sauce though. The burrata is quite nice. Very creamy🥛The buffalo chicken burger was nice but very messy! The service is nonexistent. Why, just why do you have like 10 staff members wandering around and still make the customers order via some poorly designed app? Its a bad move, SAD. When we told the staff that we wanted to order manually, they scoffed and returned five minutes later to take the order. And the food arrived 30 minutes later. ”10 minute waiting time” is optimistic. The breakfast was not my cup of tea. I had the Full English and what is supposed to feel like the complete breakfast felt very lacking, not only in flavor, but also in execution. Dry meats, sloppy mushroom and the tomato was completely ray in the middle. The beans, 10/10. Good job on them. But its also the easiest on the plate. Season the egg. Don’t be, an idiot sandwich👍🏼
Luthus S — Google review
Service was non existent. You order via QR code. No one asks how your meal is. Warm glass for cold water. Brown and under ripened avocado that was expensive. Unripe tomato. Bland and undercooked burger. Fries were inedible; previously cooked and reheated. Highly expensive and could have eaten better anywhere else. Very disappointed.
Amy-Lynn F — Google review
Located inside Terminal 5 after security, the process here is very automated. You order and pay through an app, and then they automatically add a 15% service fee. If you want it removed, you have to speak to a member of the team. The problem is that there’s no actual service. The staff simply drop off the food at your table with no friendliness or interaction. The restaurant was not even busy, yet the wait for food was surprisingly long. Personally, I feel the prices are a complete rip-off for what you get. That said, the burger itself was really good. The bun was stale, but the beef patty was excellent quality and the chips were crispy and very tasty. Overall, it feels like you’re paying for the name, not the experience.

Ordered the chicken curry and it was absolutely amazing! I also chose the gluten-free bread, which was great quality as well. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow. Despite asking three times, I was never shown the drinks menu and had to remind the staff again before finally receiving it.

Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen is a modern public house that truly captures the essence of a contemporary dining experience. Located conveniently in Terminal 2 at Heathrow, it boasts an impressive selection of beers from its own Big Smoke Brew Co., alongside popular brands like Budweiser and Corona. The menu features all-day breakfast options, including a hearty full English, as well as mouthwatering burgers, slow-cooked ribs, meat sharers, DIY tacos, and fresh salads.
A nice place to grab a bite to eat when traveling. The staff was very welcoming, and were confident in their task and role. I was always given very good information and good follow-up. The menu for both food and drinks was well laid out, and had a variety of different things to choose from. Both food and drinks were well in line with the prices, and what you would expect at a busy airport. Will most likely come back here on my next visit to the airport

Summary: this is a great spot to eat while you wait for your flight. The food is delicious but a bit overpriced. The quality is great and i have no complaints. I ordered fried chicken on waffles which i don’t usually like but the balance in flavours was tasty. The staff on shift that day was super nice and helpful, she was friendly and even advised us on what to get. I would come back here if i ever was in Terminal 2 again.

All the way from South Africa & just looking for some good food & drink before a long trip back home, I stumbled across Big Smoke Taphouse at London Heathrow Terminal 2 & had the absolute privilege of meeting Savio, the server who knew very well I struggling with the QR Code version menu & was eager to assist me & simplify my order & dining experience. Savio was extremely friendly, helpful & patient as we took our time to go through the hard copy menus & eventually opted for Tex Mex Tacos, Pork Burnt Ends, Some Onion Rings & 2 glasses of wine. I was pleasantly surprised with the bursting flavors of the all the food, especially the smokiness of the pork burnt ends & most especially encountering very bland food in England overall, LOL. Thank you Savio for an incredible dining experience during my very first visit to a Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen, keep up the world class service & excellent work ethic :-) From Deon & Hayley - South Africa

I must say that the waitress and waiter who served me are both very kind. It must be something wrong in the kitchen. It's not a busy day. I ordered a steak which is medium cooked. After 15 minutes, the steak was on my table but a well-done one. I wouldn't like to waste food and tried to eat some part of the steak. It's too hard to swallow, so I told it to a waiter. He brought it back and promised to deliver a new steak. I waited more than 35 minutes and got nothing. After complaining, I have a medium cooked steak finally. I should not add tips on the bill. When you order by QR CODE, you have to pay first.

Had the all day breakfast which was excellent, but there was a loooong hair in my beans. It happens, even if it should not. The waiter did not hesitate, and neither did the kitchen. They remade my breakfast and apologized profusely. I would have given 5 stars of this did not happen, but due to the staffs response, I upped from 3 to 4. Will go back next time without hesitations.

Service felt rude and dismissive, was not even greeted with a «hello». Night club music created a stressfull atmosphere. Food was ok, I’d rather pay a bit more and sit at the cozy London’s Pride pub upstairs.

Best thing you could say is it was quasi edible, however undercooked ribs that i waited 20 mins for but came cold, a chicken burger made of 3 mini strips and a cold slice of cheddar for £18. Table wiped in front of me with a dirty cloth, looked like a chalkboard - I mentioned it kindly to staff, she wiped again with the same dirty cloth. Worst £60 quid i have ever spent, go to McD or anything else really

A bit noisy/ I had sausage and mash which was nice but quite pricey. I asked for a lemonade with out Ice. Waitress came with a tin of Sprite which was warm. I added some Diet Coke to try and give it some taste but to no avail. Menu clearly States Lemonade. Sprite is a lemon and lime concoction. I was expecting an R Whites or Schepps Lemonade so a bit disappointing. It was quite warm as well.

wagamama - heathrow t5

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Wagamama Heathrow T5 is a delightful casual dining spot that brings a taste of Asian cuisine to the bustling airport atmosphere. With its Japanese-inspired decor and communal seating, it offers a unique dining experience that's perfect for travelers looking for something different from typical pub fare. The menu features an exciting blend of Asian fusion dishes, including their intriguing take on breakfast options like tea egg and sausage.
If you're looking for a satisfying meal while at Heathrow's Terminal 5, Wagamama is a fantastic choice. The restaurant offers a spacious and well-organized dining area, ensuring plenty of seating options even during busy hours. The service stands out for being attentive and efficient, making the experience pleasant from start to finish. As for the food, it doesn't disappoint—flavors are vibrant and dishes are prepared with care, satisfying any cravings you might have before your flight. Overall, Wagamama at Terminal 5 is a reliable spot for tasty food and excellent service, coupled with a comfortable and spacious setting. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in this terminal!

I really thought this place looked legit at first, but it was such a disappointment. I ordered a ramen with a coke — the coke came warm with ice, and the ramen was simply not edible. The noodles were mushy, like they’d just poured hot water over Thai salad, and the flavor was Thai salad gone wrong than ramen. The chicken smelled off and was tough to chew. For £20, this was the biggest waste of money I’ve had in a long time.
Mari S — Google review
Before flying home, we decided to stop at Wagamama because we were craving something warm — ramen sounded perfect! The service was smooth: they seat you, take your order, and you can pay either with your server or easily online using the QR code on the menu. I also liked that you can leave a tip directly by card. I ordered a ginger mojito, which was refreshing, while my husband had a red wine — it was fine. We shared a grilled chicken ramen, which was fantastic — loved the flavorful broth and great noodle texture. We also tried the chicken teriyaki with rice; it was okay but a bit plain, could use a bit more zest or sourness. It did come with a small side of kimchi. Overall, a nice and easy dining experience with plenty of seating. You share a long table with others, but there’s enough space to feel comfortable. A great spot for some warm comfort food before your flight at Heathrow Airport.

First time trying wagamama and was a bit sceptical because of the comments about blandness. The waiter was extremely helpful in describing and recommending a lovely meal. There is an abundance of chili oil and crisp to amp up the heat even for hot spice lovers like me. The shrimp was crunchy on the outside and very fresh inside. The noodles were a much needed warm hug on an absolutely awful transit...my mood lifted instantly ! Highly recommend
Khadijah B — Google review
The service and atmosphere were good. The food was extremely bland and lacked any authenticity to the dish. The best thing of my meal was the lemon ginger tea. I could make the ramen at my house and it would taste better

Walked around most of the terminal in search of food that wasn't the standard breakfast. This place is a great asian fusion, and offers non non-breakfast breakfast options. The bang bang hashbrowns don't mess around with their spice level.

The food in general was good. This is a nice spot while waiting for the flight at terminal 5.

Stopped by Wagamama in Heathrow Terminal 5 before my flight and had a great experience. Josh served me and was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient — exactly what you want when travelling. I ordered the chicken ramen, beef gyoza, yaki soba, and chilli squid, and everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavour. The ramen broth was comforting and well-balanced, the gyoza perfectly pan-fried, and the chilli squid had just the right amount of spice and crunch. The yaki soba was another highlight — tasty, generous, and cooked just right. Overall, a surprisingly relaxing and delicious airport meal with top-notch service from Josh. Would definitely come back next time I’m flying from T5!

Breakfast restaurant
The Perfectionists’ Café in Terminal 2 is a clean and comfortable place with polite staff. The breakfast plate with a bloody Mary and additional mushroom was cooked to perfection, using top-quality ingredients. The portion size was generous and worth the money. While the food is consistent and nice, some wish for halal options. However, the biggest criticism lies in the slow and inattentive service from the staff, although there have been instances of good service as well.
They are truly the perfectionists! My best dining experience with dining at the airports! The staff is super friendly and obliging. The food is delicious and well presented. I had a breakfast with salmon and cappuccino with almond milk. Everything was perfect!!!

The Perfectionists' Cafe at Heathrow Terminal 2 offers a unique and potentially exceptional airport dining experience. Good food, average service. Pricey but on par with Gordon’s airport restaurant (plane food). My fish and chips came with a small amount of tartar sauce and there was a charge for more. Would go again but wouldn’t rush back.

Nice decorations and setting for an airplane restaurant. The staff was really friendly and attentive. I had a latte, a croissant and pancakes (added bananas). Better than my usual airport breakfast. The menu has many more options and a good selection of drinks. If you have time (food service is a bit slow), it is a good stop before your flight

Our server being great is the only reason this wasn’t a one start review. The place looks nice and charges prices like a cafe that will provide great coffee and food, but this was just another lesson in not judging a book by its cover. We order a flat white that was terrible. The cookie was dry and they didn’t even warm it up. Our server was really nice though, but overall service isn’t great - they seem under staffed.

Having been to this restaurant 3/4 times, I would say that the food is consistent and it’s nice. I wish there were halal options, but that would be a great bonus. My biggest criticism is the staff here. 3 of the times I have been, it’s not been good service. It’s very slow and they are not attentive. Only yesterday evening around 4pm I would say is the first time I’ve actually had good service. This is what I think could be improved. Also, another point is the desserts. It’s very weird the cookie and tarts are served cold. I feel like it would have been better served warm. If the staffing was improved, the place would be 5/5 for me, even with the lack of halal options as there are still a few things to order.
Xo — Google review
My 4th time here and great experience if your flight arrives early and you get here just as they open. If there are long queues it's not worth the wait. The food and tea is consistent, full breakfast is a good way to revive after a long haul flight and is one of the better cooked meals and as expected at an airport, coffee and eggs could be hotter. Service is prompt, friendly with a quick turn around, prices could be better value for money.

Great experience here. The are very cognizant of allergies and while allergens are marked on the menu they have a separate menu where you can search based on contamination on a little tablet. It's quite useful and really nice. Did you not have a separate fryer for gluten-free. I had the gluten-free English breakfast with gluten-free toast and a smoothie. Super happy with the quality considering the breakfast I'd been having at the hotel the past week was barely edible. Yummy yummy 🤤!!

While waiting for our flight at Heathrow Airport, Terminal 2. While looking for a place to grab a quick bite, we decided to try Wondertree. It's a very spacious place. Seating areas are comfortable. We ordered fish&chips to eat and 2 different beers to drink our salad. Fish&chips was much better than I expected. It was cooked perfectly. The salad was a little small but delicious. Me and my friends had the following; Vegetarian breakfast, egg Benedict with Avocado, and English breakfast. Staff who served us today was a friendly chap. My friend did not want black pudding and ask for a few chips to compensate what he did not want, and they kindly done just that. My veggie breakfast was pretty good. Egg was not done to perfection as it still had some uncooked parts, as I do like mine runny. But not to the extent where some parts are uncooked. Had flat white, which really didn’t taste of flat white ... real strange. Veggie breakfast was £11 something. Pretty pricey for breakfast nowadays! Nice seating areas and decor. Comfortable and cosy. Real tranquil areas.

Wondertree located in the main restaurant and shop area in terminal two past security. The best seats are all the way at the back -booths with open views of the runway. The menu includes all day breakfast (i.e chicken and waffles £13.75), starters (i.e prawn tacos £9.25), large plates (i.e cajun ribs £21.75), burgers (i.e bacon burger £15.75) and salads/bowls (i.e poke bowl £15.25). There is ample seating for groups, families and individual travellers with a few chargers on the walls. The service is hit and miss, yet enthusiastic and friendly. The drinks menu includes food non alchoolic choices including smoothies and lemonade. The poke bowl (£15.25) was took about twenty minutes to arrive and while nicely presented it was poor excuse for a poke bowl. The rice had been reheated and fish looked like something out a laboratory. The watermelon was not fresh and probably defrosted. Maybe just a bad day for the chef but the food served offered no wonder.

A place with good space and great location at Heathrow Terminal 2. However, there seemed to be some issues with the service that led to the long queue. Ppl were waited outside for a long time to be seated Food was okay, I like the Peruvian chicken and its sauce. It’s served with a salad composed of cucumber, avocado, and pickled red onions. Skin-on fries were also recommended. Slaw was a but disappointed as the flavor of different ingredients were basically the same. I like that the staff reminded me of the portion of the dish I was about to order, which was very considerate. But the checkout took like forever…not an ideal eating place for those who needed to catch a plane

Casual airport dining at a handy location on a balcony overlooking the terminal. Service was good but the food was standard airport fare so nothing exciting. There is a kids menu with the usual selection of pasta and fried stuff, enough to keep them happy. There is a separate bar if you just want to have a drink before takeoff. Prices are high but that's fairly standard for Heathrow.

Kids eat for free! But Not really! Unless you pay $15 per adult. This information was conveniently hidden. Anyways the kids had fish and chips and they liked it. Feel like the portion could have a bit bigger. Service was okay, but you can expect that being it’s in an airport. We were billed for items we did not eat which we had to remove. Overall was okay, not bad but not overly good either. Filled up the stomach for a long day of travelling on beer and a few other items.

I’ve eaten in here so many times but have never left a review. Once again I had the Turkish eggs for breakfast. They are delicious. Poached eggs on grilled pita, labneh, sweet chilli and spring onion salsa. This has been my go to dish when travelling from Heathrow Terminal 5

With impeccable service from attentive staff like Raul and Liam, diners are treated to a warm and professional atmosphere.
First time in the Sofitel, and La Belle Epoque has turned out to be the most unexpected and fabulous bonus! Served by the courteous, efficient and knowledgeable Samerdeep, and introduced to an amazing mocktail by manager Sandeep, we were immediately assured we were going to have a great meal. A gorgeous Amuse Bouche, was followed by our incredible starters of chalk stream trout and the best duck liver parfait I have ever tasted. Our entrées were, Aubergine risotto, and roasted Duck breast and we relished every mouthful. Dessert would have been a wonderful finish, but we were too full!! To find this gem in an airport hotel was an absolute joy, and the perfect start to our holiday. Compliments to the chef, the management, the waiters and the bar tenders. Thanks Team!

5 stars all around. We got excellent service from Raul and Liam. They were friendly and very professional. The food was phenomenal. I had the steak filet medium and my wife had the duck both were cooked to perfection. I had the cauliflower soup and my wife had the lobster bisque for starters and then we split the apple tart and we each had an old fashioned. Well done all the way. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for fine dining.

An absolute disgrace of a steak, for 44 pounds plus VAT and Service charges. We all complained to the staff, that was not the issue at all, and they basically said it was what it was. Average quality at best, and totally unacceptable quantity for the price. I will never return or recommend this place again, on a bill over 1000 pounds for the whole table, where 5 of us almost stopd up and left.

We had an excellent experience. My husband and I ordered the bisque, the filet, the duck, the apple tart, and a bourbon old fashioned. We were impressed with the presentation and the flavors were unique and delicious. We were waited on by Raul and Liam, both very professional and also polite and personable. We highly recommend this place!

Good quality food. Price to be expected from an airport restaurant/hotel. Excellent service. Not the nicest looking restaurant - but again- it’s an airport hotel.

A good place for dinner. Located to the left from reception. Nice and open interior. The food was good but bear in mind dishes are relatively small. The Guinea fowl was tasty. I recommend this place.

Delicious food with clean and crisp flavors. Located inside the Sofitel Hotel at Terminal 5 the restaurant is a great place to escape from the busy airport surroundings.

VIVRE

Restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
At VIVRE, a chic hotel restaurant, guests can indulge in a delightful fusion of Asian, Italian, and European cuisines. The atmosphere is inviting with well-spaced seating that enhances the dining experience. Service is prompt and friendly; patrons have praised staff members like Christo and Angelo for their attentiveness. While some dishes may not be perfect—like the burger overshadowed by thick-cut onions—the overall quality shines through, especially with standout Indian offerings that cater to spice lovers.
After a string of bad reviews I expected a slow, painful affair - but nope, am pleased to report that I had a great meal here, exactly what a weary traveler hopes for. Regarding the food, I give a particular shoutout to the Indian items. I can never get it spicy enough, and while not overwhelming, my request for “as hot as possible” yielded a respectable level of heat and lots of fresh peppers added (delicious!). Service was quick and pleasant, everything came out fairly briskly. They definitely have a captive audience but this was one satisfied customer.

The food is amazing! My server, Angelo, was very nice and provided excellent service. I came here two nights in a row, and he even remembered what I ordered the first night.make me feel warm and welcoming.

Having stayed at many of the worlds Sofitel and dining in afew of their restaurants, this place ranks below average. It might have been the only one open tonight (Tuesday), but that’s no excuse to offer sub standard food at high end prices. We had the minestrone soup and was not serviced with any bread. When I asked, they said “we used to” but now it’s extra. We have never been anywhere that doesn’t offer bread with a soup dish. For mains, we opted for fish and chip + Caesar salad with chicken. I can’t believe they are serving food cooked from frozen. This is completely unacceptable. They clearly ride on the fact, they are the only option for hotel guest. Sofitel raise your game or lose your status as a 5* brand. This is the second visit to your hotels in 4 months and I am wondering if I will maintain my loyalty status.

Service was good, and we loved the curry! The only drawback was the low air con setting. Similar to our hotel room, the dining area felt much too chilly for our liking.
Rolf W — Google review
We had been in Paris, Somerset, Oxford, and London, in fact we left our London hotel and decided to stay at the airport as we had an 11 o’clock flight, and needed to be at the airport early so we booked this hotel as we had been impressed with Sofitel in the past. We booked at the restaurant and had a very good experience for the first half of our meal. It seemed like once the food had arrived and the waiter asked if we needed anything and if we were happy with the meal, he then completely disappeared. My husband had the pork chops and I had the risotto. Both were good, the issue I have with the restaurant was that we never saw our waiter again. We finished our meal let the plate sit in front of us, no issue we were looking forward to dessert and an after dinner drink, but the waiter never came. My husband thought if we stacked the plates and put them on the end of the table it would be impossible for the waiter not to notice. that did not happen. It was at least 10 minutes before my husband was able to get his attention and he ask if we wanted anything else, by that time he could see we were upset, gave us no apologies. Just acted as though nothing had happened, there was no way we were gonna order a dessert after such bad service. Here is the thing, people who stay at airport hotels are not going out looking for restaurants, Sofitel, you have to up your game. It’s no good having a great hotel with a lousy restaurant.

We were greeted well on arrival. And service was okay. Once we got out food which was the sharer meet platter, it was the only strong point from the experience. Now the dining experience turned very bad just after we received the platter with bits missing from it (vegetables that were ment to be char-grilled) all we had were tomatoes. Asked for medium/well done steak and got rare. Everything else tasted fine, however when my wife and myself wanted to question about the missing items etc..another table sat down next to us clearly with a bit of wealth had 4 waiting staff buzzing around them like flies to a rubbish bin. We didn't get seen to after that for an hour! One finally came over and asked if everything was okay at which point my wife became very disgruntled with how we felt we were 'sidelined' for a 'higher class'. We all pay the same right? Probably pay the same service charge of 12.5% too... We have never EVER experienced being made felt like second class guests in a very highly considered place.

My visit to Vivre was good. Nice vibe, nice spacing of restaurant goers, my food order was taken quickly by Christo and the food came in quite a timely manner. They did forget my sweet potato fries, however they came out piping hot and really quick so it didn't bother me. Burger was just nice overall. Not the best burger I've had and thick cut red onion kind of overpowered the rest however the bacon was tasty and crispy just as I like it. Overall I'd say 4/5 and it was £27 for beef burger with fries and a coke.
Martyn F — Google review
I think the staff are trying to do their best but they are fighting against a tide of table numbers that this restaurant can't deal with. The food tasted ok but was cold from either being left on the pass too long at doing a circuit or the restaurant to find the correct destination. My advice would be to give this place a swerve. I will never eat here again after a pretty bad and relatively expensive experience.

If you’re looking for bold flavors and a real mix of South Asian dishes, Honeymoon London is a place worth visiting. The menu brings together a variety of highlights, starting with Curry Leaves Prawns that are fragrant and full of spice, and a Tandoori Soya Chop that’s smoky and satisfying. The Mutton Roll makes for the perfect starter, while the Mixed Grill is generous and packed with flavor. For something unique, the Dosa Platter and Egg Hopper are both must-try items, offering authentic textures you won’t find everywhere. The Kizhi Parotta, layered with rich fillings, pairs beautifully with their hearty Mutton Curry. You can also enjoy a soft Sri Lankan Parotta or dip into their Chilli Garlic Naan for an extra kick. And of course, the famous Lamprais brings everything together in one comforting, traditional dish. Overall, Honeymoon London delivers variety, authenticity, and dishes that leave a lasting impression.

We recently hosted a birthday party here, and it turned out absolutely wonderful. The ambiance was perfect, the decorations and arrangements were spot on, and the food was incredibly delicious—every guest enjoyed it to the fullest. The entire experience was smooth, joyful, and truly memorable. A big thanks to Bala and Raja, for their outstanding support and warm hospitality throughout the event. OXBO Kitchen

British restaurant
OXBO Kitchen is an impressive dining establishment located within the Hilton T4, offering attentive service and surprisingly delightful cuisine. The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of cocktails, while the wine choices are average but notable for their availability by both bottle and glass options. Notable menu items include the flavorful butter chicken curry with spicy red peppers, accompanied by pompadom and Naan bread, as well as a generously portioned avocado flatbread that could almost pass as a salad on its own.
We had an incredible dining experience at OXBO Hilton Heathrow Terminal 4! The meals were absolutely delicious, and the service was even better. The aubergine flatbread with pea shoots was a standout, bursting with flavour. The staff informed us that the kitchen uses locally sourced ingredients, including herbs from their own garden and honey from their own bees—how amazing is that? We even checked out the garden afterward, and it’s truly impressive. Highly recommend OXBO for a memorable meal in a beautiful setting!

I recently dined at OXBO Kitchen at the Hilton LHR and was impressed by the beautiful, open space. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options, making it perfect for different group sizes or even a more intimate meal. However, do keep in mind that it closes at 9:30pm, so if you're arriving late, you’ll need to plan accordingly. OXBO is located in the heart of the hotel’s atrium. If you're not familiar with the area, just keep walking past the bar and cafe, and you'll find it tucked in the middle. It’s a nice, somewhat hidden spot that feels cozy despite its open setting. The drinks were fantastic, with a great selection of cocktails to kick things off. For starters, we had the British cheese plate, which was a perfect sampler of rich, local cheeses. A great start to the meal! For the main courses, there was a solid variety to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or lighter, there's definitely something to suit every palate. Overall, OXBO Kitchen delivers both on flavor and ambiance. It's a great option at the Hilton LHR, offering a cozy, stylish dining experience right in the heart of the hotel.

The restaurant is clean and beautiful. The food is ok. The breakfast is way over priced. The fish and chips is pretty decent. Fries need salt. The club sandwich was the tastiest thing. The chicken was bland and tasted like water. No flavor at all. I was worried about the fried egg but it made the sandwich. The bread was delicious. The fries here, too, needed salt. All in all, the restaurant is ok. I probably will only eat here when it's my only option.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The highlight for me was the tomato soup—it was absolutely incredible. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, it felt both comforting and refined. Every spoonful was fresh and full of depth, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Equally impressive was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. They made sure everything ran smoothly and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Between the amazing food and the thoughtful service, this place is a true gem. I’ll definitely be coming back to London—and bringing friends with me to this location.

By far thee best food I have had since spending time in London and surrounding areas. We had the butter curry chicken, bread basket with honey Butter, Mac and cheese, tomato basil soup, carrot cake bite, and raspberry parfait made with ice cream, shaved chocolate, and a brownie. The staff was exceptional and waited on us with what I can say is the best service we received while visiting the UK. I am not an easy person to impress when it comes to food and this place has that wow factor

We had the fish and chips and butter chicken curry. It was fine, typical of what you would expect of a hotel restaurant though a bit pricey. The staff were amazingly friendly and professional and that made all the difference. Make certain to have a reservation as we saw and few people turned away and having to eat in the bar area instead.

Ate here while staying the night in the hotel. Had a two course menu. The food itself is very filling and good quality and the menu has many good options. But it took almost an hour for the food to arrive despite not being busy. Service was awful, asked for a drink three times and ended up having to go to the bar myself. The management seem flappy and stressed and staff poorly trained. Lets it down massively

London Gatwick Airport, the UK's second-largest airport, is conveniently connected to other airports and London through direct coach and rail links. The nearby urban center of Crawley provides various accommodation options, with Buchan Country Park offering a peaceful retreat just outside town. Yotel Gatwick Airport in the South Terminal offers a unique Japanese-style capsule hotel experience with free Wi-Fi and 24-hour front desk service.
I’ve seen the battle between Heathrow and Gatwick ebb and flow over the decades I’ve been flying from these 2 airports. Since the airports came under separate management, Gatwick has really upped its game Their security lines are now all open. Together with new security machines that don’t need passengers to remove electronics from their bags, the security lines are really quick. I love that there are normal shops and restaurants, not just silly high end ones Our flight had a 20 minute departure delay due to volume of traffic but not bad overall

London Gatwick Airport is a fantastic choice for travelers heading to London, Sussex, and Surrey! It's quite expansive, featuring a handy train service that connects the North and South terminals. The design of the airport makes it easy to get around, ensuring comfort and safety for everyone. You'll find a great variety of shops, including a lively food court and plenty of duty-free options to explore. It's a bustling place with a vibrant atmosphere! Navigating the airport is a breeze, thanks to clear signage and a smooth check-in process. While security can be a bit busy during peak times, overall, Gatwick is a convenient spot with solid facilities, shops, and dining choices to keep you satisfied during your travels.

Gatwick Airport is a large and very well-organised airport that offers a great travel experience. The terminal is spacious, clean, and modern, with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants to choose from — perfect for spending some time before your flight. Everything feels safe and efficient, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. Security checks are quick and well-managed, and there are many signs and screens, so it’s easy to find your way around. I also appreciate how tidy and bright the airport is, which makes the whole atmosphere comfortable and stress-free. The only downside is the £7 drop-off charge, which feels a bit expensive, but apart from that, everything else is excellent. Overall, Gatwick is a great airport — clean, convenient, and reliable, making travel from London a smooth experience.

Where do I even start London Gatwick is just an amazing airport! It has great views great food options a vast route network everything! Gatwick makes you feel like you never left London a lot of their food options are local which is a nice touch. One small thing I dislike is that it’s busy and it might take a bit to pass security so make sure to come early! Lastly if you like seeing planes in the north terminal there are some easyjet gates a little bit detached from the main terminal but the walkway goes straight over an active taxiway! And if you go to the end of the walkway and don’t take the elevator or escalator down there is a small seatings area overlooking the 2 runways!

North Terminal Long Stay Car Park- You get 2 hrs free. Drop your passengers here or collect later. Parking location signs could be more plentiful. Bus stop has a simple reference only as shown. I waited at a stop for my pick up.. it was so full - only one section open to park.

Flew with Norwegian from here (South terminal) and it was smooth. Check-in, bag tag print and drop were via automated counters. London Stansted Airport

International airport
Airport
London Stansted Airport is a hub for low-cost European flights and offers convenient access to the M11 express train. While it may be crowded during peak season, the airport provides clear instructions and directions for passengers. The seating options are limited, but there are shops, currency exchange services, and water stations available after passport control. Staff members are generally friendly and helpful, making arrivals a pleasant experience. However, long layovers may be challenging due to the condition of some departure gate seats.
Today was a good day…all smooth and fast. Though it was fairly early for the 6:45 flight, from stepping in all was great. No queuing or waiting time at all. Flying to Germany and the plane is kinda ready to take off at 6:20am. Positive experience.

I flew from London Stansted Airport and overall had a great experience. The airport is very organized, clean, and easy to navigate. Security control was super quick – even with the crowds, I passed through in under 10 minutes! There are lots of shops, restaurants, and places to grab snacks or souvenirs, which made waiting much more enjoyable. However, it can get very crowded, especially around check-in and boarding time. My flight was delayed, which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, and I also noticed that some gates are very far away – it took me almost 10 minutes to walk to mine! So make sure to check your gate early and be ready to move quickly. Overall, a very good airport for both short and long flights, just a bit busy – but well managed!

I was really impressed with London Stansted Airport on my recent trip. Everything ran super smoothly from start to finish — check-in was quick, security moved fast, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The airport itself is bright, clean, and easy to find your way around, which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling. There’s a good mix of shops and restaurants too — plenty of options to grab a coffee or something to eat while waiting for your flight. Getting to and from the airport was straightforward as well, with clear signs and good transport links. Overall, it was a really stress-free experience and definitely one of the better airports I’ve flown through. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly from Stansted again!

The cheapest way to get to Stansted is to take the national express coach. The Stansted express train is quite expensive compared to the couch service. Stansted airport is pretty much the Homebase of Ryanair. The airport is pretty basic. There aren’t many seats for passengers to relax. I would recommend the Wetherspoon there. It is not expensive. There is not much children facilities, no soft play or any area for young children. However there is a Hemleys toy shop. Some gates will need shuttle train, kids love that. The security check service is good. Passengers don’t need to take out the electronic devices and liquids out. There are some water fountains after security checks. Bring your own bottle and save few pounds on bottled water.

Fast, smooth and reasonably nice. We quickly moved through security(saving time by not needing baggage drop off as we bought an overhead bag) and through to the shops. A wide range of provisions. Lots of seats and lots of people. I traveled on a thursday and although at first there was limited seats, spaces quickly appeared as people left for their gates. Our flight was delayed so we spent a lot of time here. It was made easier by the comfortable seats, free WiFi and USB charging ports so I plugged in and watched some plane crash documentaries. I had Burger King but there’s many other option too. There are limited toilets that are poorly signposted. There is one just off the main area with all the seats(water fountain there too). It was also incredibly hot with poor ventilation, especially outside the gates. Nice airport seemingly focusing on budget airlines. Edit: Just as quick on the return. The E-gates allowed us to get through in two minutes.

Last time they had a coffee machine fire, but caused such a mess with following the incorrect protocol, that 3000 people delayed or canceled their plans! Had to sleep in the car like a dog as no one toqld is Ryanair will fly us on the next day..... Wrote email to both companies, £200 and a day later I've made it to Rhodes, holiday ruined, no compensation, plans destroyed and yet they still closing the Airport overnight and people sleeping rough everywhere, purely because they don't want to pay night shifts rates and got cartels negotiation with the flying operators. Avoid on any price, as on the End you will pay more than flying Business class with Emirates, but receive dogs treatment from the stuff and wording like "You should of pay for a hotel Sir" Absolute Clowns 🤡

London Luton Airport

Airport
International airport
London Luton Airport is a hilltop airport that primarily serves domestic and European destinations, particularly by low-cost airlines. It offers plentiful transfer options such as bus and rail services. While public transportation is easily accessible, traveling by car may be the best option to reach most attractions. The terminal is spacious and clean with ample facilities including restrooms, water filling stations, restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, clear directional signs, and a variety of amenities for travelers' convenience.
Departing from Luton Airport was a smooth and efficient experience that made traveling stress-free. The airport was easy to reach, and once inside, I found it well-organized with clear signage that made check-in and security straightforward. The staff were helpful and kept everything moving quickly, which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed the variety of shops and cafés, which made waiting for my flight more comfortable. The atmosphere was lively yet well-managed, and the facilities were clean and modern. Luton Airport provided a seamless departure experience and left me with a very positive impression.

I had a few flights here along the time so I will share my key take-aways: - if you have a connection, speak to the staff, they will guide you to cut the queues. - mornings are extremely busy, do take into account their recommendation to arrive 2.5 - 3 hours earlier (if you also want to check out their shops and do some shopping). - if it is a straightforward go to the gate, the standard 2 hours will suffice. - you might not get seats in the crowded mornings. At 11 am was decent, but at 6 was full. - the bathrooms are mostly clean, but again, get ready to queue when the flight schedule is busy.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Brilliant Experience at Luton Airport! I recently passed through Luton Airport for the first time in over a decade, and what an amazing transformation! The upgrades made in recent years have completely paid off — creating a travel experience that, in my opinion, now outshines other outer London airports. The journey from St Pancras was quick and easy, with the Luton DART transfer being an absolute game-changer — efficient, modern, and seamless. Check-in and security were smooth and well organised, and the internal layout of the airport is clear, well signed, and pleasantly uncluttered. I was also impressed by the range of food and shopping options, and the staff were fantastic — friendly, helpful, and professional throughout. It made my recent weekend trip completely stress-free and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. Congratulations to everyone involved in the redesign and to all the staff who make the airport run so smoothly. A truly brilliant job, Luton Airport!

I recently flew from Luton Airport to Amsterdam and had a really good experience overall. The staff were very courteous and helpful throughout the process, from check-in to security. The airport itself was clean, organised, and easy to navigate, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. There are also some nice coffee shops where you can relax before your flight, a pleasant surprise compared to many other busy airports. Overall, a solid 4-star experience, efficient, friendly, and comfortable!

The airport itself is fine for the most part — check-in and security were reasonably smooth, and staff were polite. However, during this recent heat wave the air conditioning was almost nonexistent. It was uncomfortably hot in the terminal, making the wait for boarding unpleasant. A bit more attention to climate control would make a big difference for passenger comfort.
Mohamed F — Google review
Good food options and clean toilets. A bit crammed and long walk outside from terminal to the car park and drop off/pick up. They even have shops outside. It’s really not nice when you have to walk in the freezing cold. They need to build an extension and cover the walkway to carpark.
Oana G — Google review
The access between Luton Airport and the center of London is not the most convenient, yet once you are at the airport, you find it very convenient and efficient. I got there very early in the morning. The place was fully crowded, but the check-in and security went very quickly. Inside, there is a large number of the usual duty-free stores, as well as a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. I spent more than two hours there—it was bearable…..
Gaby — Google review
Luton is by far my most hated airport. It feels so far away, and the transport links are poor, which already makes the journey stressful before you even arrive. Once you get there, the building itself feels like a giant tin shed, always crammed with people and unbearably hot. The queues are endless, no matter the time of day, and with so many people squeezed into such a small space, you constantly find yourself being bumped into. Yes, there are places to eat and shop, but they don’t make up for the sheer chaos of the experience. The overcrowding, the heat, and the long waits make everything feel overwhelming. Overall, it’s a stressful, uncomfortable airport that I try to avoid at all costs.

This review pertains predominantly to terminal 5. Richard Rogers and Mike Davies did a great job designing this modern and efficient terminal. My visit was for a connecting flight. I opted for the cross-terminal walkway rather than the shuttle. This was a great choice to stretch my legs between travel stints. T5 is well equipped with amenities, including frequent toilets and a range of duty free shops and establishments in addition to a number of eateries. Personally, I can see more room for eateries as I had to walk quite far (near gates A1-4) before I saw somewhere with a range of hot sandwiches or similar (Pret a manger). I did not want to sit down in the Wetherspoons, partly so as to not support Tim Martin but also partly as I did not feel like a sit down occasion met my specific needs of a “grab and go” type offering. The airport is well signed and there is abundant seating available as well as quiet spaces. Security for connecting flights had a small-but-slow-moving queue. As usual with airports they like to gate keep (quite literally) information that would indicate which gate you are departing from until the last possible minute, so as to encourage you to purchase from duty free. I was not so persuaded on this visit. Overall it does the job well, and is pretty efficiently run as an airport considering it is one of the worlds busiest airports with just two runways.

Heathrow Airport is one of the busiest in the world, and it definitely feels that way. While it offers a wide range of shops, dining, and services, the airport can be very crowded, and immigration checks often take a long time, especially during peak hours. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, but the overall experience can be tiring due to the rush and long waiting times.

It’s my second time flying from Heathrow. Today from terminal 5. I am blown away by the cleanliness and efficiencies of the place. So many shops with any kind of stuff, restaurants. If you forgot to take something from home don’t worry they will have your back. Amazing, huge and busy airport but run very smoothly and fast. I was able to buy some cosmetics in boots. I went to wagamama to have a lunch and coffee, also went to Itsu to have something for take away. Amazing ! I have the Heathrow app to collect the points whenever I purchase something on the airport. To get there from London is easy too, you just take one national express bus from Victoria coach station, it takes around 1h and 15 minutes. Very convenient.

✈️ My Visit to Heathrow Airport, London My experience at Heathrow Airport, one of the world’s busiest airports, was smooth and efficient. The airport is vast, modern, and well-organized, with five terminals serving international and domestic flights. Signage is clear, making navigation straightforward, and the staff were helpful throughout check-in and security. Heathrow offers a wide range of shops, duty-free stores, restaurants, lounges, and amenities, ensuring a comfortable experience whether you’re departing, arriving, or in transit. Free Wi-Fi and charging stations made it easy to stay connected, and the terminals are clean and well-maintained. Visitor Tips: Arrive early due to security checks and busy terminals. Use the Heathrow Express or London Underground (Piccadilly line) for quick access to central London. Pre-booking lounges can enhance your waiting experience. How to Reach: Heathrow is located about 23 km west of central London. It’s well-connected via the Heathrow Express (15–20 minutes to Paddington), London Underground Piccadilly Line, taxis, buses, and ride-sharing services. Overall, Heathrow Airport is a world-class travel hub — efficient, modern, and convenient, providing a smooth start or end to any London journey.

Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world and it has excellent facilities and services. Locating boarding gates isn’t too difficult and their duty free is actually well stocked as well although not that much of a saving, things are a bit more expensive here than other airports in Europe. Definitely one of the best airports have travelled through.

Heathrow is a nice airport with lots of shops and places to eat. It’s clean, easy to get around, and staff are generally helpful. It does get super busy at peak times and things can feel a bit pricey, but overall it’s a solid airport for travel.
