Lovely few minute walk along the Eyemouth harbour to see the boats that were there at the time. It was quite lovely to see them all and to see the harbour quite full! There are restaurants, bars and other type of shops across the road too. A familiar smell around the area from the local fishing but that means the food near is fresh! Recommend going to visit if you’re in the area and have a few minutes to spare. Will be visiting again in future.
Picturesque harbour, worth a visit. Friendly locals. Nice coastline.
Sea Fishing charter onboard the Sagittarius. Great day out, good crew, and the other lads were great company . Weather was a bit blowy . Caught a few members of the cod family, so that made the day complete. Ling. Cod and a Pouting. The harbour was immaculate. Very clean and tidy, and it was an early morning start frosty underfoot the cantilever walkway to the boat had been salted.
Visited in our boat recently. This is a busy working harbour but the harbourmaster went above and beyond to help fit us in. Lots of friendly discussion and advice given, we felt welcome. It is shallow around low water but still doable, wild weather will make entrance difficult. Beware the seagulls are aggressive but these are not employed by the harbour.
Lovely spot for a coastal walk south.great views of St Abbs and the cliffs to the north. Very quiet area
Lovely place to visit …
Beautiful place, the harbour seals were on full show and following the fishing boats coming back in. Lovely food and had a nice wander around
Compared to other places nearby it’s a little more expensive. You have to raft up mostly, then you have to get someone to put the electric on, then the taps don’t give water, then the toilet and shower block code isn’t given and then you need 2 50p coins, and only that to have a shower in the only working toilet. Everyone staff and visitors alike were lovely but this falls short of everywhere else on the NE coast.

A big group of us took a trip in the middle of June and it was fantastic. From cruising out the harbour at Eyemouth, seeing all the different types of sea birds, some amazing scenery as we made our way along the coast to St. Abbs and into the harbour there and of course the speed the rib can go at was brilliant. Tim and Laura where great throughout the trip and had some great stories to tell as we went along. I'd highly recommend a trip to anyone!
Probably one of my favourite experiences at Eyemouth!! The guide was very informative when stopping at each location and even handed out laminated paper with images and information on about both the area and the marine life. You do get the chance to see dolphins, porpoises and even orcas on occasion. I unfortunately didn't get that lucky but definitely worth the money paid!!!
This was an amazing experience. It was the first time we’ve been on a rib and certainly won’t be the last! The guide was lovely and gave us great local information Saw some seals lazing on some rocks and lots of bird life Highly recommended
We had a really fantastic time. We requested a special trip to Siccar Point and Laura was really accommodating and easy to work with. The boat ride itself was lovely and we loved spending the morning with Tim and Laura. If you're around Edinburgh, it's totally worth a half day to get out of town and see the countryside and the coastline.
Absolutely incredible! What a thrill! The staff were great and knowledgeable, saw dolphins, jellyfish, seals, all sorts of birds, the new asguard but not Thor 🤣 brilliant value for money and just great family fun! Can't wait to go on again!
We had a fantastic time on the rib trip yesterday, the two tour leaders were lovely people with a clear passion for the whole coastline. They were very informative and explained what attracts people to the area for different activities, the different wildlife in and out of the water and the history of the areas. It was lots of fun, and the adrenaline junkie in me loved the speed back to Eyemouth at the end. We all hugely recommended the rib trip, it was a really great hour spent
Booked to ride the rib on a random Monday in October. We had stayed in Coldingham for 5 days and booked the trip as a wee treat. Tim instantly put my nervous hubby at ease. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the large pod of dolphins were an added bonus. Absolutely fantastic. Thanks Tim.
Wonderful trip, very informative tour of Eyemouth to St Abbs coastline. Looking for marine mammals but also birds and a short stop inside St adds harbour. Sadly no marine mammals aside from the Eyemouth harbour resident seals but this is not the fault of the trip providers. We enjoyed it non the less. Everybody including the other group that joined our family really enjoyed the relaxed trip out but also the full speed run back to the harbour where every single person aboard was smiling ear to ear. The gentleman providing our tour was clearly very passionate about the local area but also very proud of it's business' but also about coastal conservation. And even about boats he spoke with our son about all of the jobs you can do related to the ocean and boats which he was very pleased with.

Went for the halloween event and was pleasantly suprised. Great for the kids and the staff were lovely! Barely cost a thing and our girls (6year+8year olds) really enjoyed themselves. Free face painting and glitter tattoos and donut bobbing etc. Really good fun really great staff 😁
Very good, interesting visit. Well worth a visit. The car park is a bit of a walk down several steps so anyone with a mobility issue needs to be dropped off outside the door before going to find a parking space. The car park is on the hill behind the building. It's only a couple of minutes walk away.
A really enjoyable experience. Strongly recommend to anyone visiting the area. You may also catch sight of the seals and enjoy some holsome chip from the local chip shop. A really well situated museum and plentiful parking.
Wonderful from start to finish. Ambience was set by David, who was a great pianist. Warm and inviting. Afternoon tea was exquisite Will definitely be back
When you arrive and park in the car park, it is possible that you may see the sign at the entrance and like us fail to notice, that it points to the stairs down to the quayside entrance. Later we saw others on the day who had also missed that, allowing us to smugly point out the stairs. The entrance leads in to the cellars where there is an excellent informational display of the history of the house and about the many smuggling and tax evasion activities of that part of the Scottish borders in that era. There are some touchy/feely exhibits which children will love. From the cellars we ascended the stairs to the ground floor or rather the half ground floor since it is not fully up to ground level. Here we see the kitchen with many interesting pieces of equipment of those times. Up one more floor to the main level with the principle entrance door. Here the rooms exhibit some interesting pieces of furniture and in one room is an exhibit of the evolution of the wall paper and coverings. The two floors above are not accessible as they make up a self catering holiday accommodation. It was definitely worth the visit and we all found it very interesting.
Brilliant for a family stay! Had a great time for our Grans 80th and enjoyed the house so much. Would benefit from a little bit of refurb in some areas and rooms to freshen up.
Really cool house, I was here for a stag do and we had rented it for three nights. Great for a relaxing trip or a mad one, nice local pubs and walks along the Smuggler's Trail.
This is an amazing place to stay, I have a family of 9 and this is the first place that we've stayed in since we could go out because of COVID-19, it's a shame that we couldn't go into the museum but the house itself is stunning, the pubs, shops and restaurants nearby are great places and even though the queue for the ice-cream was long it's absolutely worth it!

The golf course was really enjoyable. Great views and some varied holes. We booked on Golf Now so green fees were reasonable. The clubhouse appears to be the Heathers restaurant upstairs. Quirky decor but lovely views and food & drink was decent.
We played at Eyemouth on Fri 12/9/25. I found this the best course we played at beating Dunstaburgh and Bamburgh. Firstly I am a disabled player and first impressions were good as disabled parking available. Pro shop was well stocked and a friendly greeting from the club pro set us up well. I'd had no issue obtaining a buggy so off we went. Course was challenging but a good mix of longer par 5s and short, tricky par 3s with a reasonable amount of par 4s. Overall a good mix suiting different games. The views were equal to the other 2 venues making it a perfect golfing experience. The clubhouse staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The food was fabulous and well needed after playing. Eating our meal, over looking Eyemouth and the coast was so relaxing. We could even see our holiday cottage at St Abbs lighthouse in the distance. All in all a great experience and I highly recommend playing here.
Had a wonderful day out, the course was in excellent condition and the greens were amongst the best I've played on this year. The scenery throughout is beautiful, particularly some of the views along the coastline. Pleasant variety of holes, and we were fortunate to play in stunning warm sunny conditions (it's late Sept!). Course has a 600+ yard par 5 but you can make it in 3 trust me! The restaurant was excellent, the staff friendly and warm, as were all the members I spoke with (on the morning of Ryder Cup weekend, easy chit-chat). Definitely worth a visit.
Eyemouth GC is a little beauty! Not on everyone's must play list, but it should be! The fairways and greens are top notch and the course is both fun and challenging with shots over ravines with crashing waves, to a 600yard par 5 (don't be put off, elevation helps) and a mix of fine links, a couple of parkland and even some heathland holes. There's something for every golfer. The pro shop was well stocked and the pro helpful and friendly. Do stay for a burger and a pint afterwards and soak up the panoramic views from the well used bar upstairs. Put it on your list for the area, you won't be dissapointed
A fantastic track which has some brilliant views across the bay and north sea. Lucky to play when the weather was calm but will be a stern test once the winds blow. A little gem of a course. One to add to your list
What a fun track, would only be better is I played there before.
Highly recommend both playing and staying here (if you have a motorhome or camper). We stayed Monday 8th to Tuesday 9th September 2025. Course was in brilliant condition and we were lucky to get stunning weather too. The course is a great challenge, would highly recommend playing here. The food was excellent too, we had evening meal and breakfast, dogs are allowed in clubhouse so they came with us for breakfast and enjoyed some of ours! Top marks to Eyemouth Golf course!
Saturday breakfast. Fantastic breakfast with black pudding and haggis. Great coffee, great views and great friendly service

Nice little museum to explore. The kids had a little questionnaire to complete as you walked around and looked at all the items and read all the boards with information on. Educational and interesting. Was about £10 to enter as a family of 4. Would recommend. There is also a little shop to buy any trinkets you may want to take home as a souvenir
If only you could get into the Museum.! Their webpage says it is open today from 11 am so we travel to Eyemouth for around 1:30 pm only to find a sign in the window stating the museum is actually closed until April. Why can’t that be stated on the webpage for tourists?
Great small local history museum... definitely worth the visit..
Nice little museum telling some history of Eyemouth including the storm disaster
Small, but wonderful museum, dedicated to the history of Eyemouth area .
Very informative. So very sad to read about the 1881 disaster. Lovely staff.
Great way to learn about the social history of the area and about The Great Storm. Was good that dogs were allowed in too. Very good for children, but interesting for adults too. Very friendly and helpful man selling the tickets as we went in. Thank you 😃
Absolutely superb held your interest from the first exhibit too the last. Well worth the small entry fee. It is a place that I would visit again because even though it is small it is crammed full of interest.
