Asbury Park

Asbury Park is a small seaside city on the New Jersey coast. It’s known for its sandy shore and beachfront boardwalk lined with shops, arcades and cafes. The city's live music venues include the Stone Pony, which has hosted native New Jerseyans Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, and the 1920s Paramount Theatre. The Silverball Museum’s video games, arcade games and pinball machines date from the 1930s to the present.

My visit to the Asbury Park Boardwalk was amazing! The boardwalk has a great mix of classic charm and modern energy. I enjoyed walking along the ocean, checking out the unique shops, and grabbing some delicious food from local spots. The live music and street performers added a fun vibe, and the whole area felt clean and welcoming. It’s a perfect place to relax, people-watch, and soak in the beach town atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back!
Beach Day Bliss: A Perfect Spot for Everyone! I recently visited this beautiful beach, and it truly exceeded expectations. From the moment you arrive, everything is well-organized — there's an entrance fee, ample parking, and a helpful enquiry desk to guide you. The beach is fully accessible, with wheelchair access, clean restrooms, and a shower area to freshen up after a dip in the water. Safety is clearly a priority, with beach guards actively watching over all areas. You’re welcome to bring your own mats, tents, and chairs, but there are also plenty of benches and designated seating areas to relax and take in the view. What really stood out was the lively atmosphere: there are numerous stores for shopping, food courts with a variety of options, and a spacious boardwalk perfect for a stroll. Whether you're with family, kids, or friends, this beach is clean, easy to access, and incredibly relaxing — the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, sea, and some shopping too!
This is one of the first beach and broadwalk that appears along the NJ shoreline after exiting north Jersey. Of course that makes it really popular and crowded destination in summer months. There are lots of parking lots and paid street parkings near the broadwalk. The lots are far more expensive than street parking, so better to go early to find one. The beach area is nice. There’s a $8 entree fee and they do check for the tickets time to time. Rental chairs and umbrellas are available but super expensive, $35 for an umbrella and $15 for each chair. Lifeguards actively monitor the designated areas. The broadwalk is huge. Plenty of shops, restaurants, restrooms, fun activities and a convention hall reside along it. Inside the convention hall, there are more shops, local artisan market, and restaurants. We spent about 6 hours in the area. I found this beach friendly and safe. The food was decent. Restrooms were well maintained too. Overall a really nice place to go for a beach day, but be prepared to spend some, unless you come fully prepared from home.
It's Beautiful 😍 place to see the sunrise .. I was very happy to visit this place and to see the nature , sunrise , beach .. challenges are to find a free parking place.. if you need free parking place there please start early by 1 hour One of the best place or view point for Sunrise in and around New Jersey
Gorgeous place. Calm, friendly, clean and not a massive tourist trap. Lovely food spots and shops. You can see that the area is loved and looked after. Highly recommend checking out the the Asbury Angels benches commemorating musicians and those who worked in the industry.
Rated best beach town in the country. Asbury is always a great experience. Nice and quiet family friendly beach. Wide and long boardwalk with plenty of food options and small shops.
The nicest boardwalk we have ever visited. So clean and well taken care of. The people in the area are super friendly. Lots of shopping and beautiful beaches.
Walking around the boardwalk is a peaceful way to be with yourself for winter, very cold but it’s so amazing to stay around

Oh my God I never had so much fun since I was younger. I loved it. I played as much as I could possibly play. It reminded me of my good days beanpole days awesome place. I highly recommend it to a lot of people. I wrote a good review on it on Facebook I told everybody they should go down. I love the place thank you. We’ll be visiting it again and I’m 74 years old and I enjoyed every moment of it.❤️
This is a great place to just chill by the boardwalk and have fun! It's really exciting to see all of the retro and vintage machines they have stored, many of which are one-of-a-kind, and not found much else. The food is also great and convenient. Plus, everything's ten times better when you're in one of the best places in the world: by the beach on the Jersey Shore Boardwalk.
Easily well over a hundred games to play including various pinball, skeet ball, bowling puck, baseball batting, and much more. Food available. Clean restrooms. Chose the one hour ticket ($17.50) thinking this was more than enough time for a nostalgic trip (I was raised in Northern NJ 50+ years ago). Could have stayed much longer. The half-day price is only $20 - a much better deal. An old friend and I went here while the wives went shopping. How many times have we waited for the women while they were in a store? Too many... This was a wonderful diversion and both parties enjoyed the day.
The Arcade is really fun! You pay a fixed amount for entry, and then all the games are free to play. There are a TON of pinball games! They also have skeeball and several other retro games not just pinball. Kid friendly. I know they have food but I didn't have any just because I wasn't hungry. Location is cool because it is right on the boardwalk.
alright this place is definitely a gem. if you grew up with pinball then you are in heaven. you pay per hour ($17.50) and you are allow to come in and out as you like within that hour. They have quiet a few retro game and don't forget to spend some time on the basketball ring.
Great experience! Well priced and a large selection of games. If you’re on the boardwalk, check this place out.
Very cool place. My boyfriend enjoyed it more than I did but it was awesome reading about each machine and seeing the years they were made. $5 for a non-player was still worth it to me.
This place is AWESOME!! For one price admission and you can play all kinds of vintage games. If you go to Asbury Park I highly recommend it.

Though this venue is older, we had a great time! Seating makes it very easy to see any show. I would definitely go here again
We drove over to NY last summer to look around Asbury Park and the boardwalk. This beautiful building houses the Paramount Theatre and the adjoining Convention Hall. It sits right on the boardwalk and the beautiful beach. A great place to take a walk on the boardwalk and walk right thru this building to continue on the boardwalk.
Every staff member was super friendly and helpful. Intimate, historical theatre. Great place to see a show!
Love the architecture, history of the venue and the designer in me, loves that light ocean green color 😍
Built in 1930's small intimate theater in a bit of disrepair! Great acoustics! In the heart of Asbury Park can't beat the location!!!
Saw "Get the LED Out", great show but hot as hell in the Paramount!!! Seats were comfortable and beer was cold, great crowd. Would definitely go there again....
This is a gorgeous theater that needs some tender loving care.
Loved it. Warm. Great acoustics. Excellent venue.

I had a great time visiting Asbury Splash Park! It’s the perfect spot for families with young kids to cool off and have fun. The water features were exciting and safe, and everything felt clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and kept an eye on things, which made the experience even more relaxing. Plus, it’s in a great location—just steps away from the boardwalk and beach. It's a fun and refreshing stop on a summer day!
Adults have to pay to get in even if they don't utilize the spray ground. $15 for kids $7 for adults. Groupon had discounts last I looked. Staff were super nice and even helped me pick a good sun block for my son. Can take food in, no alcohol or glass. Right across the board walk from the beach. Food stands around. My only complaint would be that it could use updating. The water can wasn't spraying from the spout along with a couple other fixtures. I'm hoping an update will happen with new infrastructure in the area.
So much fun for the little ones! Very clean!! Great place for both the kids and adults. I enjoyed the lounge chairs under the umbrellas as well as being able to get wet to cool off!
I saw this online and decided to take my 5 year old Granddaughter. She loved it. We got there at 10:30 am on a Sunday and by 2pm I was making her leave and she didn’t want to. So I want to let you know some things I didn’t know to make your experience great. You are issued a wristband upon entry so you can come in and out as you please. You ARE allowed to bring in food and beverages from home or purchase something on the boardwalk and bring it in. No glass or alcohol obviously. They have plenty of lounge chairs, and seating with umbrellas. Kids can bring in small plastic toys, buckets, etc. they do have a small picnic area behind the bathrooms. They do have a shower in the ladies room and 2 changing booths and toilets. My only suggestion is to either have a fan or AC in the bathrooms. I will definitely take her back. BTW I saw Groupon has discount tickets. I think you save $4
Absolutely love it here. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas and it’s all fenced in so I feel safe having the kids run around knowing they can’t go anywhere. Even on the most beautiful weekend day, it doesn’t feel TOO packed.
Fantastic place to spend time for about 3-4 hours without bring bored. They have a nice play area for kids and slides in it. Post 5pm they have discounted price on tickets.
The kids had a blast. The 8 dollar admission is well worth the price.
The location is perfect. The resort is quiet and peaceful. The Staff is super friendly and helpful. The water park and beach were free to campers and are well maintained and the food was great. Excellent getaway, we will return.

First of all this place is adorable! The interior design is so cool - I would come here all the time if I lived closer. The beer is also delicious and they have a good variety - it's not oversaturated with IPAs like a lot of places. It's close to Asbury Park Beach, so it's nice to stop by before or after.
Wild Air was a nice stop for a Saturday afternoon visit. The interior is bright with a lot of natural light, and cozy with several nature elements present. The man behind the bar was attentive and polite. The beers we tried were good, I recommend the “Real Horrorshow” red ale. It was early in the day so our experience was very relaxed, but they do have ear plugs listed on the menu so I’m sure it gets quite loud with live music at night. I would stop in again for another afternoon visit when I’m near Asbury Park.
Wild Air is a great brewery for lager lovers! If you are over the IPA crazy, you must try this place. Their lagerbier range today included American and Japanese Rice lagers, an elevated single hop pilsner, and a dark and malty Czech lager. Our favorite on draft was the Light Wing Rauchbier. They also brew up a well curated line of funky beers like Beautiful Little Fool (mango sour) and a saison with hickory bark called Boundless Shade. Yes, they also make delicious IPAs for you hop heads 🍻 but give their lagerbier a try first!
Used to stop by here when it was Dark City glad to see this beautiful space has fallen into more capable hands. The decorations are fun and inviting (sit inside a Volkswagen bus) and the menu is great. The Dunkle was a hit and the Brett pale and Berliner made for great tasters (just a warning no flights). Good music too excited to see this place grow!
Visited Wild Air for the first time today. The decor and overall vibe was welcoming and comfortable. The selection of beers was good but is mainly focused on pilsners and lagers. Parking, as you can imagine, was challenging. Just be sure to leave yourself enough time to find a spot. The staff was friendly and nice to interact with. We even learned a bit about the history of the space and the bar countertop, which was made by a surf shop. Happy to see a good brewery in a fun town. Will return!
The beer is great, but if you're going for the music..... just be aware that it wont sound super great, and that's NOT the band/artists fault! I do think ear plugs help you out. Anyway, that isn't a huge deal in my opinion, although im sure the bands disagree 😞 at least bring the ear plugs... They need a new PA. It's B l o w n. Otherwise, the service was great, the beer and seltzers were great, and the spot is cute. They have this cute vw bus you can sit in while you eat/drink. I don't think there's food but you can bring your own. As a photographer, I want to use this place for a photo shoot sooooo bad. There's vintage looking wall paper, this cool vintage-like 20s style vintage- phone, and the bar is actually clean looking and nice wood. Anyway, I've spoiled enough. I think it's worth checking it out yourself! I've only been there after sunset, I can only imagine what it looks like at Golden hour or during the day in general. Anyway if you guys do read this, please let me do a photoshoot in there 🥹 then I'll send you a link to some PAs for sale 🫠
This place is quite the experience. The company is locally owned and the love really shows. The ambiance is unlike most places. It’s somewhere you can bring a date or just hang with friends. The owner is super nice and welcoming and very friendly, stopping and talking to us for as long as we wanted. They also have an assortment of beers that are all fantastic not to mention affordable. If you’re ever in the area I would say it’s a definite must try! The day I went there was also free tarot card readings! How awesome is that!
Neat place! Beer is good and the staff is great. Enjoying a nice Kolsch. Thankful this Thanksgiving weekend to have LOTS of choices beyond IPAs - pilsners and lagers and more. Nice atmosphere. Glad we found this.

A small gallery with exceptional artwork chosen by Jenn. She is inspiring, fresh, extremely talented, art lover and the sweetest person. Do inquire on having a tour of the murals in the area. The gallery is also a great place for any event and Jenn will be your best supporter to make everything just perfect.
Some of the most fun and interesting curated work. The atmosphere is very welcoming, even for those of us with not such a strong background in art
Amazing Art Work curated by Amazing Owners. This art gallery is a must see when visiting Asbury Park!
Jill Ricci and her gallery rock!!! I've been collecting for decades... but my wife and daughters all fight over the inheritance rights to only my Ricci's! They LOVE her stuff, as do I, because it's so personal and hand crafted. Her prices are so reasonable, I don't know how she does it. But we're not complaining... were buying!! A+++
Always love the carefully curated exhibits here! I stop in whenever I can!
