My wife and oldest took the ride, so this is related to their experience.
We were the last ride of the day. We saw a deer laying down in the trail, but were not lucky enough to see larger game. The “tour” was more of a nose-to-tail “walk”, but I am sure that is fine for most families. Before the ride, the hands provided snacks for the horses so everyone could feed them, which was cool.
There is fishing, swimming, and boating (in separate ponds) for those not riding.
The water was brisk.
There is a place to practice roping (not on a live animal, but still pretty cool)
The place is as beautiful as you can imagine.
We also got to see the horses wrangled right past our car, which I think the hands did for a bit of fun.
Nice place, reasonably priced, and options for everyone.
The riding part is somehow separate from the ranch in a way I don’t understand, but whatever.
The fifth star is not a function of not seeing game, just that it was a little vanilla. If perfectly cromulent is your thing, consider it 5 stars.
