We had a blast on the Zipline Adventure today! The guides were fun, experienced and very focused on keeping us safe while having an excellent time. I highly recommend this as a birthday gift or just a fun way to spend time together. We tried having a meal on the bar deck but were unable to get service. Surprising for such a beautiful and expensive venue. No worries...we drove to Vancouver and had a delicious meal at the Cove. Highly recommended! 😎
We had an excellent time at this aerial adventure park! Our guide was amazing and the course itself was challenging but very enjoyable! My son, who is nonverbal, had an absolute blast! The views are amazing! I highly recommend!!
My partner and I ziplined for the first time and it was a blast! We arrived early (recommend) and were warmly greeted by Shane upon checking in. From there on out, Stan and Jack guided us through this amazing experience with safety talks, proper zip lining techniques, combined with their easy going fun personality and infectious humor. We drove in from Portland, stayed the night at Skamania Lodge. I would highly recommend this adventure and any others they offer, due to the incredible staff! Thank you for making my birthday special 🎉❤️❗
My husband and I were looking for a weekend to get away and happened to run across Skamania Lodge in our Google search. besides the fact it was a beautiful drive to the lodge, the lodge itself was more than what we could have hoped for. we were amazed at how many activities were available and decided to try zip lining for the first time. We had an absolutely awesome time! We love the restaurants at the lodge and the staff was friendly and helpful. We plan on coming back and trying out the glamping tents next time. Would highly recommend this to our friends
Aerial obstacle course took about an hour before we were done, zip line took hour and a half. Good guides.
We got married on 9.20.2025 and spent a few days in Carson. My husband surprise me with something I had wanted to do for many, many years. This zipline experience was so much fun. Even though im afraid of heights but have always wanted to do it. Our guides made it so much fun, easy and im so happy I did it. I truly recommend doing the zipling it is well worth it.
My husband and I were in the gorge for the week and wanted to do something a little adventurous. The zip line tour was fantastic. Our trip guides were funny, kind, supportive and made the whole experience a blast. I’m very grateful we chose an off hours time to visit because having a group of 5 and not 10 made a big difference. All of the zips were a blast and made you feel like you were flying. We felt safe and well cared for. Having the extra pictures (despite the high price) was a great bonus. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
My wife and I had an amazing adventure with the E-Bikes for our first anniversary. The bikes were fairly priced for what you get and provided a lot of fun. We enjoyed riding around the area, crossing the Bridge of the Gods, and exploring the fish hatchery. It was an unforgettable experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unique way to explore the area.

It was cute and beautiful museum. 10bucks for each one(adult) teens 8bucks, under 5yo is free. Restroom is clean, facilities are super clean and neat. We had a great time. Not many people were there so plenty of space to go to see the Columbia Gorge history. We had a great time. Crews are kind and friendly.
Great smaller museum, very friendly staff with a nicely done gift shop. There are places around the museum to sit and look at the exhibits, the first exhibit with the Native American collection was lovely. There are elevators conveniently located for those who cannot take the stairs. Definitely worth a visit, we went on a monday and there were very few visitors which was nice for us.
Great place to visit. Logging history. A neat story about local turtles. We'll the few that remain. Few other cool things. Outside found some hidden art should have taken a Pic. When you find it you'll know. Who knew the dam had pill boxes.
Fun, but as each floor increased the disconnect to the subject matter widened. Keep it to the first floor and outside if you want the history of Oregon and early settlers. The staff was very friendly.
Outstanding museum with Gorge history. Take your time reading all the displays, and make sure to wander outside through the historical logging equipment
Great little museum with lots of history of the area.
Definitely worth a visit. The exhibits were very well done on the history of the river area, first peoples, and Lewis & Clark expedition. There were some unique and unexpected special exhibits on a couple of local men-- very interesting! The facility itself is so nice and the staff very helpful.
Beautiful and fun! There is so much to see and learn! Will be looking into as a wedding venue 😍

Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. Angie in the gift shop was so sweet. The front desk and hosts for the restaurant also went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The hotel is very kid-friendly and welcoming for little ones. We will absolutely be returning for the beautiful views and incredible accommodations.
We stayed here as it was recommended due to the location of a wedding we were attending. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the views from the lobby were truly amazing. The hotel has a cozy, lodge-style atmosphere, though it is on the dim side. Unfortunately, the rooms felt dated and the beds were uncomfortable. While we can see why some people love this hotel, it just wasn’t the right fit for us.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, and overall we were very happy with our experience. We visited from Friday to Sunday, and the lodge was bustling with guests and events, including two weddings. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside right away was the $15 per night parking fee, which felt unnecessary. We booked a Superior River King room on the third floor, which had an incredible view of the gorge. The room itself wasn’t huge, but it was clean, cozy, and perfect for the two of us. With views that stunning, I only wish the rooms had floor-to-ceiling windows to really take it all in. The newly renovated pool and spa areas were a highlight. The pool is large and beautiful, and the outdoor hot tub was especially relaxing, surrounded by trees and the sound of a waterfall feature. There’s also an indoor hot tub, plus additional hot tubs and saunas in each locker room—plenty of options to unwind. The lodge offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but prices are on the higher side, as you’d expect at a resort. We ended up heading into Stevenson just a quick 5-minute drive away to try some local restaurants, which turned out to be a great choice. One small inconvenience was the lack of bottled water in the room. At night I found myself wandering the resort trying to find some, only to discover the vending machines were out. Eventually, I came across a water fountain on my floor, but it would have been nice to have bottled water provided. All in all, I’d recommend this lodge to anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest in a peaceful, relaxing setting.
Overall a great experience. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and what you’re paying for. It would be nice if there were more bar/ restaurant options as the menu was a bit lack luster. Service at check in and throughout the stay was wonderful. Dog friendly which was a major plus.
We came for an anniversary getaway and had a wonderful time. The customer service was excellent—there was a mix-up with our room type that we discovered after checking in, but the hotel manager, April, went above and beyond to make it right. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. The food at the Cascade Dining Room was outstanding—one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time, especially the pork chop and lava cake. We were looking for a place where we could both relax indoors and enjoy nature, and this spot delivered. Between the hikes, golf, and outdoor fire pit, it was exactly what we needed.
Very nice stay, especially with the fall colors. Reminded me of Yosemite, which is a very high compliment. The treehouse was a very private space, nice balcony, warm fireplace that sat in the outside wall so it heated the balcony and the inside. They even had a s'mores kit for roasting marshmallows in the fire.
Good: I love the location, the staff were friendly and it’s a really nice lodge. The room was clean! Bad: it’s a dumb TV! Meaning there were no streaming options for the TV. Nobody wants to flip through channels anymore, get with the times! Thermostats are battery powered and my room’s thermostat batteries were dead upon arrival. They fixed it with though, it was just kind of annoying.
I wish I could give Skamania a better rating but after this last experience with their customer service / reservations department, I've had enough. We were looking to book a room for a few night stay during the most recent sale for me and my extended family and I reached out before the end date since I was having trouble finding the discounted rooms through their website and the person on the phone said he tried to reach the front desk twice and was going to email them, telling them my issue and assured me that they would have no problem booking me a room at the discounted rate once they got back to me. So they emailed a short sentence saying "that sale ended already!" and that was it...so I emailed back, explaining what THEIR rep said and they continued to send one line emails, which made me feel like I was in the wrong.

Beautiful area near Mt. St. Helens. You can hike out to a point and back. There is also a loop trail that connects via a suspension bridge (closed right now). However, there is a metal bridge near the start of the loop trail you can use to access the other side of the trail. Great way to spend a few hours.
Easy hike but the suspension bridge was blocked.
Beautiful hike with impressive cliffs and waterfalls. The top section is easy. If you continue past the suspension bridge it gets a lot more difficult, since the trail gets a lot narrower and runs along the edge of the canyon. The views are worth the effort though.
Beautiful hike - currently an out and back but when repaired is a stunning loop. Currently, the swinging bridge is out of commission - the halfway point for either side of the trail. As your facing the river/creek, the right trail provides close up views of the lava formations and the just too blue pools (I know, sounds weird but you will see what I mean) - just stunning. The left trail provides a better view of the larger waterfall and kind of the columnar affect on the creek walls. This place is absolutely stunning - not to be missed.
Lava Canyon in Washington is stunning but also dangerous, as evident from the numerous warning signs posted throughout the area. It's highly recommended to hike with a buddy for safety. While staying cautious should keep you safe, awareness is crucial. The trail is divided into three sections: 1. **Beginning Section**: This area is paved and easy, suitable for all hikers. 2. **Intermediate Section**: This part takes you down to the suspension bridge. 3. **Expert Section**: The final mile and a half is rugged, steep, and poorly maintained. It is not suitable for children or pets. Much of the trail is washed away, making it hazardous and arguably not worth the risk. Most of the trail's beauty can be appreciated within the first 35 minutes of hiking. Although the suspension bridge is a highlight, it is currently inaccessible due to a washout. Overall, Lava Canyon offers incredible scenery but requires careful consideration of safety risks.
Beautiful trail! Paved part of the way to the bridge. Might not recommend going down to the suspension bridge with kiddos as the trail gets rocky, uneven, and close to canyon without rails.
This hike is divided up into three sections easy, intermediate, and hard. I did all three sections and I’m left with mixed feelings. Sadly the suspension bridge was damaged in some winter floods and was not open. The first part of this trail is paved, short and easy. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take a leisurely 20 minuets to wander around. The intermediate portion is also very short but more steep and unpaved. This heads down to the suspension bridge. The final portion is the longest. The signs tell you that the trail is steep, difficult and unmaintained. They are not kidding. Even though its only 1.5 miles down, its very rugged. The trail is almost completely washed out making it dangerous. I wouldn’t even consider bringing kids or dogs down this portion. The other thing is that i don’t know if the scenery was rely worth the struggle. Because of the location of the trail you cant always see the waterfalls well. And there are large stretches that break away from the stream. But the woods are beautiful in themselves and I do feel a sense of accomplishment having completed the hike. I would say unless your determined to do the whole thing just go down to the suspension bridge and call it good.
Another Hotspot to visit when you are at Mount St Helens. A beautiful waterfall and a nice hike. There are three different hikes that ranges from easy, moderate, and hard. We did the first two and didn't do the hard one. The place is very beautiful and you'll see some wildlife (we saw a couple of snakes).

Great view, moderate hike, the trailhead is not clearly marked, the sign is turned backward. From the parking head down the dirt road 300 yards, the trail starts on the right side.
Great trail! Very steep in the beginning. Glad to have hiking poles on wet grounds. Sacred area. See picture with sign where to pick up trail which is down the road from main parking area.
Such a fun hike! It’s like a mini dog mt. With the incline but the view at the top is amazing!

Had an amazing experience & one of the best massages I’ve ever had by Gina. She took the time upfront to understand my problem areas & was extremely thorough throughout the massage applying trigger point & different massage techniques. The facility was also very nice, loved the private hot tubs in the locker rooms. Very impressed!
I had a wonderful experience with a message by Alison. She was attentive to my needs and requests and made me comfortable. The only reason for the 4 stars is because I feel like the whole “spa experience” is completely forgotten by hotel management. Upon checking in I was led to a locker room with a robe provided. However I didn’t not receive any slippers or a towel (I like to shower before massages). The massage products were unlabeled and unscented. The music and atmosphere of the room were nice. After the massage I showered and the body wash container was empty. Again. No name products. No water dispenser for guests to drink after sauna/jacuzzi/treatments. Additionally the sink area looked like one you’d find in a public gym. A bit of care and attention to the space would go a long way for guests experiences. For such an expensive massage I would have expected more from the establishment.
Gorgeous outdoor hot tub! Indoor hot tub and pool also available. There is also a sauna and spa, although I didn’t get to use them.
I had a facial and it was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and explained everything to me and also recommended some great products for me :-)
My facial at Waterleaf was by far the best I've ever had. I have had facials domestic and international. It was an awesome experience. Thank you so much. I will recommend and return.
This review is just for the spa. I received a massage and the lady was nice but did not know what she was doing. I've had a fair amount of massages to know they shouldn't feel like fast skin to skin friction fire. She barely used any lotion or oil and rubbed so fast and vigorously it should've been called a scrub. Was disappointed for the $140 price for 50 minutes.
My husband and I decided to take a mini winter vacation and somewhat randomly chose our destination to be Stevenson Washington right on the Columbia River. We booked our hotel and researched some points of interest to visit. To surprise my husband, I also scheduled a massage for the two of us at Waterleaf Spa and Fitness Center. Unfortunately severe weather hit so hard, knocking out power throughout the town (leaving our hotel without heat) we had no choice but to try to make the 3 hour drive back home in that blizzard. I called the spa and cancelled our appointments the day before they were scheduled. Despite their no refund policy, the manager I spoke with was so understanding and compassionate and relieved my worry about being charged for the massages we were unable to get. We found the entire town of Stevenson welcoming, kind, charming and seemingly a not very well known honey hole for countless sites and experiences. We are already planning to return in Spring and hope the Waterleaf Spa and Fitness Center has openings for my husband and I to finally get those massages.
I'm a little torn here. I am thankful they have brand new robes, sure that was nice. The facility is fine. I will say, I've had many massages, and I paid $185 for a deep tissue massage that was NOT done very well at all. The practitioner massaged one of my feet, but not the other, typical mistakes like that. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, loved them. Lost a ring there and called about it, have not heard back. There are other places to receive a much better massage for a better price, I assure you that. I would not recommend, seriously.
