Spectacular spectacular! Indescribably beautiful, and it feels as if I am walking on the moon. Quite steep stairs to go down and up but it was a pleasant walk. It was raining when we visited, so it wasn’t hot at all. I heard walking in the sun could be hot as there are no shadows. Once in a life time experience. I will remember this beautiful place for a very long time.
It is lovely driving to Le Volcan. The landscape is very unique, it feels as if you are on the moon. JUST BE AWARE OF BEING ROBBED at the parking area! Our car remote was jammed and all our cash stolen from our wallets in our handbags. We parked next to a car with a couple searching for something inside 'their car'. We only realized afterwards that they were stealing from that car as well.
A very busy attraction. We were only able to get to about 1 kilometer from the car park as there were so many vehicles. There were many tourists. Be prepared for a tough long climb. Plenty of water and even a walking stick would be an advantage. It takes about 5 - 6 hours to complete the hike. The signage on route is good. The restaurant and toilets are totally unprepared for the volumes of tourists.
Longish walk to get to the top but so worth it. The second most active volcano in the world. Driving to the car park is a bit bumpy but there are also helicopter tours over the top to get a different perspective.
Nice, but honestly wasn't worth the hike; the view from the viewpoint at the start was just as nice
What a beautiful landscape, this is definitely a must visit place if you’re in the area. The road to get here is already worth the visit. Unfortunately when we came the fences were closed due to recent eruptions. Make sure to ask around if you can go in or not. Probably will have to call someone to ask. Definitely recommend it!
Couldn't walk but booked a tour of ULM with zen attitude from saint pierre. It is just an amazing experience!!!! I would recommend this to all people and the prices are not expensive at all and the pilots are really nice and experienced guys. We even see... Check out the photos :)
Amazing volcano. The path is pretty simple just follow white dots, but it's unnecessarily too long. The last 1h of hike is only going around the volcano away from the peak to the exact opposite site. We chose to make a shortcut to the peak when ascending stopped, it was much shorter and we ended up much higher than other tourist. However it's on your own risk because there were some rifts during the way there. Probably that's why they created tourist spot on the opposite site.

A mesmerising church with all its architectural details outside and as well as inside. The inside is amazing too. I also saw the christmas nativity scene there and it was so beautiful. So peaceful there.
Pretty church in a town where not much else shouting WOW! Enough parking, church was open, but no-one around to ask for more info. The local mosque in Saint Benoir central, on the other hand, had a resident imam who not only spoke English, but was happy to show us around. Much more interesting.
One of the most beautiful looking churches in my opinion. The inside isn't as impressive as the outside, but it's one of my favorite churches on the island. There is parking lot in front of it, and a small park with tables next to.
More beautiful thank in the Fotos, it's worth a stop.
Very nice architecture
Nice architecture… and to make the visit even better, the ice creams at the entrance are awesome 😁🍦
Very nitty pretty. Also it's location. Worth a visit on this island. Come out of peak-hours to get the best experience.
Beauty church both outside and outside worth visiting.

As other reviews mention it is forbidden to swim there, but it's still a gorgeous lake to visit for the views and a little hike to bassin la mer
Its closed currently (december 22)
Sadly, the site seems to have been closed since 2019. From other reviews, it seems like some people 'risk it' and go see it anyways, but since there are three separate signs warning visitors not to go to the Bassin, we decided against it.
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful waterfall, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful on the island! However, be careful of the path which is not maintained and can be dangerous, especially after a period of rain. The pontoon and the stairs are in ruins, I would not recommend access to people who are not very sporty or with children.
(Translated by Google) Several beautiful waterfalls in succession. You can picnic there, walk around the pool and even swim.
(Translated by Google) Access is prohibited via the path indicated on maps. The Peace Basin Bridge is closed by a private barrier. Access is only via the path in front of you upon arrival. Access to the basins is prohibited, and the Peace Basin is inaccessible. Otherwise, a pleasant walk through the sugarcane plants and the forest. Very nice place to take a stroll. Views are stunning! Easy to park and to start walking. The hike down is not very difficult but I still suggest to keep walking on the higher path. Easy to walk and again the views are great
The view is just magnificent! There is a construction on site, but does not disturb the visiting of the viewpoint. The hiking trail starting from the viewpoint is closed due to reconstruction works until August 2024n
After an extremely serpentine drive through lush groves and sugar cane fields, past the Takamaka Public Park, you will come onto row upon row of breathtaking elegantly flowing waterfalls. At the parking lot, walk up to the reservoir landing to the viewing area where more waterfalls and a dramatic view of two large inner craters await. Children and families can easily visit this area. For hikers, you can hike further down onto the ravine valley to see the Marsouins river.
Takamaka is the most humid place from Reunion Island and here you will find the first hydrcentrale from Reunion. It is very accessible from tge main road .. around 20min if the sky is clear you may have wonderful views!
Nice view, but the hike is closed
Platform is open! Some construction ongoing but you have a very good view. Hikes closed. Road closed but there is a parking 100m before the viewpoint. Just walk via the closed road to the viewpoint.
Breathtaking views. You won't regret the journey. Come before 10AM for the best chance to see the waterfalls. Walk 300 meters, flip-flops difficulty. Good with small kids. Parking is not difficult, but in April 2024 some maintenance was going on and the top carpark got locked on weekdays. On the way down (5 minutes by car) is a rest area with a good playground for kids, toilets and BBQ pits.
Beyond breathtaking. It takes a little while to get to and it is at considerable elevation so be prepared. We didn't get to spend a whole lot of time there as our trip was quite limited but it is truly a magical place. You are set up on this viewpoint amidst the cloud forest. The waterfalls are too numerous to count. Visibility can be challenging later in the day but it's definitely worth a visit.

We have enjoyed the canoe-rafting with 3 kids (11, 10, 9) trip even though the boat track was basically just 3 rapids.
(Translated by Google) Great afternoon with an adorable team! Safety, good atmosphere with our friends and children aged 6 to 10! 100% recommend! And a little homemade punch to round it all off! Thanks to the whole team!
(Translated by Google) Nice place. A little expensive when you compare with the descents in mainland France in particular. Especially on a river with little volume.. A monitor (well egocentric) which takes beautiful photos however. (Original) Lieu sympa.
(Translated by Google) Incredible descent! Till is a very nice instructor who was able to manage our descent with 10 people. Thanks again (Original) Descente incroyable ! Merci encore
(Translated by Google) Very good time spent Top instructor who explains well. Puts people who don't know how to swim at ease. Sensations guaranteed. Sensations garanties. A refaire
(Translated by Google) We booked for rafting for 4 people in the same boat. After an hour and a half of driving we arrive there and we are offered two-seaters because the water level is supposedly too low. We had an appointment at 1 p.m. why not notify people in the morning with a simple text message? We left disappointed because the goal was for all 4 of us to be together.
(Translated by Google) A unique experience! With the added bonus of great instructors! Jojo and Alice are so nice, thank you for the welcome! We'll come back! On reviendra !

(Translated by Google) Place suitable for swimming in fresh, clean water in complete safety. You can come there as a family for a picnic.
