β¨ Stayed 4 nights | November 2022 | Family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids aged 3 & 10 months)
We booked the Andaz Suite (formerly called Premium Room), and it was the perfect fit for a calm, family-first beachside getaway in Sanur. Spacious, lush, and thoughtfully run β Andaz really delivered on every level.
β
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Room Layout & Sleeping Setup
β
We stayed in the Andaz Suite β 113 sqm, which gave our family plenty of space to spread out.
β
Layout included a separate bedroom and living room, and we had an extra bed set up in the living area β perfect for a nanny or older child.
β
The living room had its own full bathroom with a shower, so every adult had privacy and no one needed to share morning routines.
β
The main bathroom was huge β double sinks, large tub, and great for evening wind-downs with the kids.
β
Bed area was a bit tight in layout, but still very comfortable.
β
Our suite faced a quiet, lush garden pool, away from the beach crowds β ideal for naptimes and stroller breaks.
π¬ Child policy: Kids under 12 stay free using existing bedding.
π¬ Room tip: The suite is perfect for families with toddlers or a nanny, thanks to the dual bathrooms and smart separation of space.
β
π Child-Friendly Amenities
β
Kids Club was a highlight β with daily crafts, games, and even feeding fish in the garden ponds.
β
The resort is lush and walkable, with wide, stroller-friendly paths and plenty of spots to explore.
β
Lagoon pools and the beachfront are toddler-safe β calm waves, shallow edges, and easy access.
β
We loved the natural play areas scattered throughout the gardens.
π« No in-room toddler gear by default, but staff were quick to fulfill requests for baby meals and extra towels.
β
π½οΈ Food & Convenience
β
Breakfast was one of the best weβve had among Sanurβs 5-star hotels β buffet plus Γ la carte, with fresh and diverse options.
β
Restaurant staff were incredibly attentive β they custom-prepared soft food (like grilled fish, steamed veggies) for our baby each morning, and remembered our preferences.
β
Room service was great and included toddler-friendly options.
β
On-site dining felt refined but welcoming, with just the right balance of service and flexibility.
β
π Location & Access
β
Located directly on Sanur Beach, with a peaceful shoreline and gentle waves β great for small kids.
β
A bike and walking path runs along the beachfront β perfect for sunrise walks, cycling, or stroller time.
β
You can walk to places like Massimo, Cork, and Pescado, but with young kids we preferred taking a quick car ride.
β
The resort itself is very stroller-accessible, including the beach areas.
β
π Travel Day Logistics
β
Check-in and check-out were smooth and welcoming, even with two young kids in tow.
β
Staff were warm, familiar, and personal β not just polite. They remembered us and our kids, and made each interaction feel easy.
β
Room service, special meal requests, and extra assistance (like warming baby food) were all handled quickly and kindly.
β
πΈ Visuals & Real Reviews
β
Hotel looks exactly like the photos β even better in some areas.
β
The modern-Balinese design feels warm, not flashy, and very family-appropriate.
β
We did a casual family photoshoot during our stay β the garden paths, koi ponds, and pool areas made for beautiful backdrops.
β
Everything is well maintained, peaceful, and visually calming.

π° Category & Value
π³ Rate during our stay: 4.5 million IDR per night for the suite
π³ Current rate: ~7 million IDR per night
π·οΈ Category: High-End Family Comfort
βοΈ Worth every bit for a calm, elegant stay where you donβt have to βfight the hotelβ to make life with toddlers work.
π‘ Compared to others: If rates are close, this is our #1 pick over InterContinental or The Meru β the layout, warmth, and thoughtfulness are unmatched. Meru may edge it out only if the price difference is significant.
π Booking tip:
- Best rate was through AsiaFriendly travel agent (Ms. Lita, +62 811 3865 444 β mention my name!)
- Hyatt loyalty members can get room upgrades and late check-out depending on tier
β
𧳠Nearby Hotels for Nannies
β
101 Oasis Sanur is nearby and budget-friendly
β
Plenty of 2β3 star options around, though honestly, our nanny could have stayed with us comfortably on the extra bed if we hadnβt pre-booked elsewhere
β
π‘ Who Itβs Good For
Perfect for families with young kids or babies who want a low-stress beachfront stay with plenty of space, great food, and genuinely kind service.
β¨ Weβve tried InterContinental and The Meru β and Andaz wins hands down for layout, walkability, and that rare blend of style and sincerity. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
