Though some will continue to remain skeptical, the limited success the lake has experienced after overcoming so many obstacles instills confidence for its future prospects."
I recently visited for the first time, and this area is so beautiful. The space is very calm + serene, and the views are absolutely fantastic. There are mountains surrounding the water, adding to the picturesque quality of the area. Lake Las Vegas has several hotel, restaurant, and shopping offerings available (in terms of the community itself), including the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa!

This a location only a few Nevadans know about. Originally built as a get away from the strip for locals. It holds events monthly. Quiet casinos & lots of things to explore & see in a more relaxing quiet atmosphere then the strip. I've been to a few events here. Wine testing, Shakespeare in the park, A 5K & art show. Excellent internal staging of the city block of houses moved to the site. From the 19th - 20th century each house represents an era that is literally dressed in its time. From the carton of Lucky Strikes laying casually on a coffee table during WW2 with the radio blasting news of the boys overseas to the 1950s kitchen's stuffed pantry with the biggest name brands of the time, the staff did an over the top job! Pre radio to color tv its all represented on the time capsule of a city block at this museum. A hidden gem!

Nice museum for free entry. Good collection of buildings and a nice place to walk around. Mannequins are a little creepy and unsettling, especially if you’re alone in the houses with them. Lots of potential for future expansion. Hopefully they can get some funding to expand the indoor part and do some upgrades like paving and signage.

He also had a bag of tricks we saw and felt a lions whiskers to touching the texture of a lions main. So much more. They have plenty of shade and seating. It's a smaller place, but we would definitely recommend it!

We had such a great time at the Lion Habitat in Las Vegas, NV! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We love the lion habitat! I took my 1.5 and 3.5 year old and we had such a great time. You could tell the staff really wanted everyone to have a great time, and Jim was especially wonderful, teaching my girls new things and making sure we didn't miss a chance to watch a feeding or enrichment session. Wow, what a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The Lions, Birds, Tortoises were all adorable and interactive. Jim was amazing! Nice place to stay out of town away from the Vegas craziness. Overall vibe is very relaxed and surprisingly quiet. We didn't gamble so I can't comment on the casino.

The room was large with a nice mountain view. Room was clean, bed was comfy, though the room did look a bit worn/well-used, and there was some mold in the shower.
There wasn't a microwave - we missed that - there was a small fridge.
All the staff was very pleasant.
Lots of amenities around - cafes, restaurants, spa, pool, etc. Food was just OK, not great, reasonably priced, so was worth it for the convenience a few times, but if you're looking for great dining, I'd look elsewhere.
Would definitely stay here again for any off-the-strip activities.

This is a beautiful place to observe a large variety of birds or just take a nature walk. We saw bunnies and a turtle in addition to hummingbirds, ducks, grebes, snowy egrets, great white egrets, towhees, roadrunners, a white pelican, and a kestrel. There are paved and dirt pathways. This course just went through a 6 month renovation with brand new Bermuda fairways and greens, and let me tell you it is absolutely amazing.
First time here and I booked through VIP golf services, I would HIGHLY recommend this golf course to anyone who has the chance to play it. Every hole is well designed and has great variety. The greens are as pure as any in Las Vegas (close to Shadow Creek). There's also some great views of the strip from parts of this course. Also had great staff and everyone was friendly. If you get the chance, play this course!

We had both our ceremony and reception at Anthem Country Club and it was the best choice we could have possibly made! We absolutely loved the venue! Getting married lakeside with the view of Las Vegas in the background was breathtaking. And we loved having our dance floor outside on the balcony terrace underneath the open sky and beautiful bistro lights. The ballroom was also a perfect space for dinner and celebrating as well. The staff at Anthem are amazing, Sheena leads an awesome team and they were very organized, professional, and considerate throughout the entire wedding planning process as well as on the big day. Pastor Pete was our officiant, Darlene and Cakes on the Move provided our wedding cake, Jennifer from Add Creative Excitement was our DJ, and Jovani Linens and Floral Design provided our ceremony flowers, table linens, and chiavari chairs. We loved all of them and it was so nice to have them included in our wedding package. The catered food at Anthem was also fantastic! And their bar staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to take care of our guests at our wedding reception. Overall we could not be happier with Anthem Country Club as our chosen wedding venue! We loved everything about it, from the getting-ready areas, to the ceremony location and photo-op spots, to the beautiful clubhouse and friendly staff. Ascaya is absolutely amazing, I just got done touring this amazing secure affluent community. Me and my wife are moving to Vegas from Washington and found that this particular community fits us the best, we have looked at all of the luxury communities within the entire Las Vegas area and without a shadow of a doubt will be moving into Ascaya. My only issue with this community is that there are not enough houses to choose from, had we found the right house at about 6000 - 8000 ft.² we would’ve snatched it up in a heartbeat. I would strongly encourage the developer to put up a half dozen or so resale homes so people like me that are coming in and want to settle in immediately can do just that. Other than that I would rate this community the best in Las Vegas, views are amazing - especially at night. The weather is crisp and clean.

We were visiting Vegas on a family vacation and we enjoyed our day at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory. Our greeter Mr. George at the front was spectacular his smile was so infectious and he gave us the story about the factory. Areli, in the shop, was able to convince my sister to try dark chocolate and it was amazing. Their chocolates were soooo good and had decent pricing. She was so sweet and pleasant like Mr. George. The cactus garden was beautiful and calming. The different species of plants and cacti were very educational! We will definitely be back when we're back on the West Coast!

Amazing BBQ place right at a nice little shopping street with lots of fun and cool vibes especially at night. The place is huge and with a massive smoker right in front of you. I ordered delivery through Uber Eats and while the food did take longer than anticipated (over an hour by the time it arrived at my home), it was packaged well and tasted great. I had a relatively large order with several meals and sides, so I can understand needing the extra time during afternoon lunch. The presentation was top notch and everything looked beautiful. My salad was very fresh and had bright vegetables. The salmon was grilled perfectly; I would definitely order again. The biscuts and honey butter were filling and fluffy. All the sides were yummy, with generous serving sizes. The brisket did seem kind of dry, and it tasted fine, but I would have liked it to have more moisture. Overall, it was a really great meal and I’m super pleased and plan to order delivery again sometime soon!!

I had dinner for two last night 11/21/25, the food quality was horrible, and the service wasn't great. Our side dishes were cold and stale. The restaurant itself was very cold, it didn't even feel like they had their heat on and it was cold and raining outside! I ordered beef ribs and paid extra, but I'm not what the burnt mess was they served me? These ribs used to be HUGE portions, what is this!? Is it even a beef rib?

Overall, the whole experience was terrible. The atmosphere of the place showed what to expect. This place is dead in the water and they're barely afloat. I ordered a 3 Meat Platter for the WHOPPING price of $23. For $23, I expected a pretty good portion of 3 different meats of my selection. What came out was a few little pieces of Rib Tip, a very tiny portion of Brisket, and Bones with Barbecue Sauce on them. Those bones were supposed to be the St.Louis Ribs, it ended up being just bones covered in Barbecue Sauce. I could have went to Cracker Barrel or even to Burger King and gotten way more food than what was presented to me, and at a much more respective price.
The server forgot to bring the Mashed Potatoes out and asked, "do you still want them?". WE PAYED FOR THE FOOD, YOU WILL GIVE US THE FOOD WE PAYED FOR. I told everyone in there, go somewhere else if you want Barbecue, this place was absolutely terrible, will not be back.

Our family really enjoys visiting Sunset Station, and it’s become a go-to destination for us—especially because of Kids Quest. The kids absolutely love it there! From the moment we walk in, they’re excited to dive into all the fun activities, games, and entertainment that Kids Quest offers. It’s a safe, clean, and engaging environment that keeps them busy and happy for hours.
We actually make trips out to Sunset Station specifically for Kids Quest because it’s just that good. It’s such a relief as parents to have a place where we know our kids are well taken care of and having a great time, giving us a chance to relax a bit too.
That said, we did have one unpleasant encounter with a staff member on a previous visit. While it wasn’t a great experience in the moment, it really seemed to be an isolated incident. Everyone else we've interacted with has been friendly, professional, and genuinely great with the kids. One bad apple won’t stop us from coming back to a place our family enjoys so much.
Overall, Sunset Station and Kids Quest continue to be a highlight for our family outings. The smiles on our kids' faces say it all!

My wife and I were really looking forward to a rare night away. As parents, with school starting soon, we finally had the chance to line up a babysitter and enjoy some quiet time together. We checked into Sunset Station and everything seemed fine at first.
After settling in, we went downstairs to grab a drink and grab a few items from our car. Unfortunately, what should’ve been a short trip turned into a nightmare. We returned to find our car had been broken into — the back window was shattered, and clearly someone had broken in.
At that point, we obviously couldn’t stay the night. We were shaken, frustrated, and didn’t feel safe leaving the car like that. We immediately checked out and hoped that the hotel would show some level of understanding for what happened on their property. Unfortunately, the best they offered was to waive the resort fees.
We’re locals and weren’t asking for anything unreasonable — just some recognition that this situation disrupted our entire night, cost us money in repairs, and ruined what little time we had to ourselves. Sadly, the response felt more like a business transaction than genuine hospitality.
I never write reviews, but this experience was upsetting enough that I felt it was necessary. We won’t be returning to Sunset Station.

The rooms are exceptionally clean, and there are always individuals diligently cleaning around the casino and other areas of the property. Everyone is remarkably pleasant. The gentleman, Robert, who was stationed near the elevators leading to the motel rooms, was very polite and even went above and beyond to provide additional information about the restaurants and a map of the property. He had recently started working there and was still familiarizing himself with the establishment. Upon my return to enjoy dinner and the casino, he kindly provided me with the map and an informational pamphlet. Also, Kat, I believe, was our main server's name in the Italian restaurant, and her service was off the charts remarkable. She was very kind and quick, as were all who took care of us while we enjoyed a very delicious dinner. The service was top-notch, and the food was amazing. We had zucchini chips, which were a very light appetizer, bread with oil and vinegar, and lasagna, of which one plate could have easily fed both of us. It was amazing. The prices were very reasonable in a comfortable atmosphere.

Sunset Station is an excellent Hotel/Casino. All of the Station Casinos are, in my opinion. Staff members are kind and helpful, always professional. Their prices are always affordable and accommodating. I’ve stayed there quite a few times, even as a local. They’re my favorite staycation spot. I really wish they had kept their buffets. They were some of the best with quality foods and friendly prices.

We came to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary. We made a dinner reservation and they were ready for us when we arrived. The restaurant is very upscale and the happy hour seemed to have quite the draw as it was busy. We ordered the shrimp tempura. The shrimp was perfectly cooked but had a bit too much of the aoli I might recommend ordering that on the side. My husband tried the sea bass special and I had a filet. It was perfectly cooked. The sea bass just flaked apart. We also ordered the potato puree and the Mac and Cheese. The potato puree was amazing! The mac and cheese i would pass on. Been a loyal customer of Hanks for the past 4 years and this time, I'm very disappointed with the food. Came here with some friends from out of town and they wanted some good steak, plus Hanks is only 5 min away. p
Service was bit slow and the dining room was pretty busy for a Monday night.
We always start out with the crab cakes and beef tartare and it's always on point. We also added the Shrimp Tempura, which was pretty horrible. It was soggy and flavorless. Panda Express fire Cracker shrimp would of tasted better.
Out of 6 of us, 4 ordered the bone-in Ribeye and 1 American Bison Ribeye, all was cooked to perfection.
1 ordered the Alaskan Halibut. Now this is where the kitchen Ef'd up. The plastic was still wrapped partially on the fish and that fish was so overcooked and hard, you can use it as theft deterrent.
All of the sides; grilled asparagus, spicy creamed corn, Aspen corn, wild mushrooms, mac n cheese and creamed spinach was perfect.
We had a lot of to go and didn't want the fish but they still packed it to go with the plastic still intact to the fish 🤦♀️.

We ate at Hank's Fine Steaks at GVR Resort, Casino & Spa for our anniversary dinner. For drinks we decided to go with Belvedere and Absolut Elyx, and a Frank Family Cabernet, instead of our usual champaign because the mark up on the champaign was out of line.
We started with their oysters served with Sherry Mignonette, Cocktail Sauce, Horseradish on a bed of blue back lit ice. A very attractive plating. The no-name oysters were very fresh and enjoyable. We also had their Caesar salad which while not prepared at the table side, was quite good.
For mains we ordered their 16 oz New York Strip Niman Ranch steak and their Prime Rib Dry Aged 21 Days from Hastings, Nebraska. We added a Baked potato served with sour cream, bacon and chives on the side. The NY Strip was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The Prime rib was also perfectly cooked but not particularly well seasoned and inconsistent in terms of tenderness. The baked potato was a bit undercooked- disappointing especially considering they charged $17 for the one baked potato.
For dessert they brought a nice plated assortment of sweets with two chocolate covered strawberries and a happy anniversary confectionary sign.
Service was excellent from start to finish, especially Margot. The ambiance was nice and noise level moderate for the most part.

Its always a delightful experience at Hanks but this time it was superlative. Try the Picasso ( pomegranate martini) . The ribeye was so flavorful and the meat next to the bone was exquisite. The pizza was wonderful, and a good price for the amount provided.
Initial reception by one of the young ladies was far from warm and welcoming. I'm guessing she was having a rough moment. The wait staff was a bit cold of an attitude at first (I think her and the other young lady had words before we went in) and then warmed up.
We ordered 2 pizza's, don't recall the names, and a focaccia bread. The bread..... it wasn't focaccia, it was a pizza dough round with herbs on it and was a slap in the face to real focaccia bread.

Just went in apprarently for first day since remodel, were from out of town, and Setebello is always a highlight stop for us. Somtimes the service has been a bit rude. But food is too good to care.
But... last night Maddie (hope i got that right) and every single employee made our meal amazing. From making sure my daughters got their favorite gelato, to the absolute best service we have seen in years.

We were greeted and seated by a very friendly hostess. The food was very tasteful. We had a 6 egg omelet fully loaded with toast, coffee, and potatoes. We also had biscuits and gravy, 2 over medium eggs, potatoes (more than we could eat 😊), and toast.

I am a USA road trip traveler from Virginia Beach, Virginia and favor owner/operated diners with counter-seating to eat.
I selected the Omelet House after discovering it is a local business started by 2 local gentlemen. The fact they have multiple locations made me hesitate, but better than than selecting a “corporate-saturated” line-up of locations.
My server “Dena” was super and the local customers were interactive smilers.
I can only speak for “my” breakfast selection - the scrambler with an order of country gravy to top the scrambler.
I immediately discovered their potatoes (“spuds”) reminded me of soggy potato chips. The next thing I noticed was my “scramble” was way too over-salted - LOTS of water water required due to then excessive salt.
I like their “MONSTER Challenges” of a 3 lb burger and a dozen-egg omelet, although not for me.
I would return, but avoid the “spuds” and hope the salt issue was a fluke - less salt OR just remove salt-shakers from tables.
The country gravy was way too thick for my liking - it was like a stack of gravy rather than a flowing gravy. I could eat the gravy with a fork off the top of my scramble.
This is not so much a “critical” review, as it is a “constructive-criticism” review.
I appreciate and thank server “Dena” for her smiles & efficient service 😃✌️.

We can't tell you enough how we have been waiting for a fantastic BBQ place to show up in this side of town.
The atmosphere was such an upgrade compared to the last restaurant that was in this place. Along with the service and food to match! We walked in on the second day of soft opening so we weren't expecting much but boy were we in for a major surprise! Every dish we ordered was absolutely amazing! The half Rack of ribs were caked with dry rub and cooked to perfection. When eating ribs with my wife, I usually need to cut the meat off the bone, but that action was futile. I want to go move the ribs by a bone and the bone literally slid right out and the meat fell off the bone. The brisket was dripping with juice and perfectly smoked. The corn bread was exactly how I like it; a hint of sweetness a little chewy and doesn't fall apart in your hands. The fries were not typical either. They were delicious! Perfectly seasoned. Then came the green beans..... Oh the green beans!!! Covered in garlic and butter yet wasn't drenched to the point of feeling heavy.

He kindly said not to worry it's not a problem at all.
On top of just opening and people learning the operations of this establishment, the customer service was fantastic.

Earlier in the day we just spent $26 for a meal and a half at fatburger. Here we spent $32 on two meals and a soda.

The “world’s best beef meatball soup” to which I would add for its price range ($6.99) lives up to its name with a solid broth and lots of tasty meatballs. Best Mediterranean restaurant ever! Staff is so friendly, they gave us free appetizers while waiting for our food. The atmosphere is very welcoming. A must go to place for kebabs! Great experience! Started the hike about 8:30 am and took about 2.5 hours to complete. We saw lots of desert lizards on the trail, including a fierce looking little thing that mimicked a scorpion. Of course the petroglyphs were worth the hike, but the stars for us were the Bighorn Sheep and the Kit Fox, whose breakfast we interrupted.
The petroglyph trail takes you up a series of small, dry waterfalls that you need to crawl or climb up. It's not too challenging and the selfie background is pretty amazing. If you want an easier walk, the cowboy trail is the way to go. It will take you the "back way" to the petroglyphs. (The trail is well marked).
Do yourself a favor if you've never been here before and check in at the visitor contact center. The staff there was super helpful and knowledgeable about the trails.

Had an outstanding experience hiking the loop today. Spend about 2 hours, ~3 mile hike there total. We are novices from the Midwest so some points got our heart rates up, some mild climbing, definitely not ADA accessible, but brought water/snacks and took some shady breaks. Great hike, been there a few times but find new trails every time. I will say its clean most of the time but once or twice have picked up a few trash items. But the flowers bloom and the rock structures are beautiful. There are lots of places to lose footing so i would recommend very nice high top hiking boots! We bring our dog and he is very active outdoors, being said he knows his way around i wouldn't bring a dog who's not well footed. No shade unfortunately.

This chocolate factory, retail store and cactus garden was a really great outing. The host at the front door, the glass windows on the factory and the delicious chocolates in the store were awesome. This is such a beautiful park at night. And the equipment here are some of the newest version. My favorite is the gravity seat. The view is exquisite. The shades at night look like beautifully lit glass flowers. There is so much to do here from playing to just taking a great walk. It is so clean and up kept. The park it's awesome. No doubt the comments from everyone exactly as they said. The parking lot it's small for like 20 cars but on west side of the park plenty parking on the street. And also the entire perimeter of the park. It's a little bit small. Lots of shades from the structural view of the park. But it's on the wrong side of the park. You don't need shade coming from the park down you need the shade where people are sitting. Hardly any trees at all. No shade on the stairs side facing the south side. Other then that everything looks perfect on the water park section.

I ordered one of their tailgate specials for a party including chicken tenders, BBQ beans, macaroni salad and Cole slaw with a selection of sauces. Everything was terrific! Went to The Willows for lunch today with zero expectations, and somehow still left disappointed.
The place feels dated (fits the older community vibe) and the service was just okay. Sticky menus.
My husband's cheeseburger was nothing special, and my turkey bacon sandwich was a total miss - cold dry turkey with hot bacon? No thanks. They did pile on the fries though - fresh, but way too many.
If you're in the area, just head to The Riviere instead. Better food, nicer atmosphere, and staff that seems to care. The Willows just don’t cut it.

This is a rather nice place set in a recreation club. The restaurant is open to the public. The staff was short-handed, but the waiter and the waitress were good, and friendly. Audrey was just great! So was the other gentleman who brought us our drinks. We had hot chocolate, cranberry juice, pancakes with eggs and bacon, and the Chili Relleno omlete.
