Astonishing sandy beach. Blue clear and shallow water 💙 At the beginning of September we found a calmy and hot water just perfect to swim and enjoy this beautiful place. It is the most beautiful beach on the island, and if you want to have a breathtaking view climb the hil that is near to see why this place is so appreciated by so many people.

"This way to paradise" was so accurate. By far the most gorgeous beach with the best water for swimming I've ever visited. Extremely shallow with white sand and warm water, I could stay all day. The chairs are overpriced so I'd recommend just sitting on the sand, it is soft and relaxing either way

The beach is one of the most beautiful that I have ever visited. Clean water and luxurious sand. The review is for the team that was renting out beach chairs and umbrellas. They were kind and fair. 35€ for the set of wooden beds and umbrellas. 20€ for the set of regular beach chairs and umbrellas. Worth the price. This is an amazingly beautiful beach on Elafonissos. Take a quick ferry from Pounta. You need a car here. Water is an amazing blue and crystal clear. Sugar sand beach. There is no shade— you’ll need an umbrella or need to rent from a beach bar. Worth the trip

One of the best beaches I have ever seen - it can easily compete with beaches in the Caribbean. Parking is free and there is one big parking area. The sunbeds and umbrella cost 40€ per day(June 2025), which is quite a lot, but it pays off. We spent the whole day there and it was a day in paradise. Food and drinks can be ordered directly to the beach for a little tip.

I’ll start with the good — a very beautiful beach, stunningly colored water (warm, even when it’s windy), and trash bins available. Now, what somewhat spoiled the mood — on the part of the beach where there’s easy access to the water without rocks, there are two rows of sun loungers. If you come with your own umbrella, you’ll be asked to move further away and not sit in front of them (so you don’t ruin the view with your “cheap” umbrella?). I wouldn’t mind paying for one of their loungers, but wait — what do I actually get for 50 euros besides the lounger itself? Nothing. No changing rooms, no showers, and most importantly — no toilet. The umbrellas are old and worn, and the mattresses are stained and shabby. In my opinion — and forgive me if this sounds subjective — it comes across as disrespectful and greedy. If you walk further down the beach and reach another one, you’ll find a lovely café and a toilet there.

Exquisite sandy beach with clear waters and interesting geography. The waters are shallow making them ideal for children. There is not much shade at the beach. No amenities like shower.

Beautiful beach with crystal clear water and spectacular views from surrounding hills. Note that there aren’t any beach bars or restaurants but there are several that are only 5-10min away - some of them even deliver directly to the beach. It can get pretty crowded during busy seasons so it’s the best to arrive before 10am to find yourself a good spot.

Such a unique beach. Visited middle of October on a weekday and had great weather and small crowds. Parked along the road. No entry or parking fees. Some great hikes too.

Bring your own towels, chairs or umbrellas. The beach does not have any sort of commercial activity so there is also no food or water for sale. The water however is extremely warm and clean, amazing swimming location. Also to the left there is a hike to a cave and then past the cave to a castle which leads to a STUNNING view. It is a difficult hike but absolutely worth it!

Seems like a beautiful beach but word of caution - BE CAREFUL ABOUT PARKING AFTER RAIN! My car was stuck in the wet mud and could not move out. Had to call for a tow truck. Please be careful when driving after rain and do not go into the muddy area! Unfortunately I didnt get to visit the beach itself, but huge thanks to the wonderful greek locals who were so helpful and concerned for my situation!

Voidokilia Beach is located a bit outside Pylos, along the beautiful Navarino coast. It’s a completely natural beach, once used as an ancient port, sitting just below the Paleokastro fortress and near the famous Thrasymedes Tholos Tomb, a Mycenaean burial site dating back more than 3,000 years. The area is steeped in history, with legends linked to King Nestor and his son Thrasymedes, making the visit even more fascinating. The water is crystal clear, and you can drive right up to the beach, but keep in mind that there are no facilities. This is pure, untouched seaside tourism, so make sure to bring water, umbrellas, and everything you need. The beach forms a perfect semicircle — resembling a cow’s belly, which inspired its name — and because it’s relatively small, it’s best to arrive early as it can get crowded. We arrived later in the afternoon due to a road closure caused by an overturned car, which delayed us a bit. The road leading there is narrow, so take it slow, but it’s absolutely worth it. Many call Voidokilia one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Personally, I found it stunning, maybe not quite at the extreme level of hype, but definitely a unique and memorable place, perfect for breathtaking photos and a special experience.

What an amazing and peaceful beach spot! We spent most of our days here and truly loved every moment. The beach beds are complimentary — you only pay for the food and refreshing drinks. The staff are absolutely wonderful: so kind, welcoming, and easygoing that it instantly feels like home. We’re going to miss this special place. While we did see small cars going further, also I wouldn't recommend a tourist in a rental car getting further than here. We parked here and while walking down were greeted by two guys on the back of a pickup truck, that drove them back uphill shouting "5€ on way back" at us...and that's precisely what we did, too: The pickup truck with seating in the pickup area made from rolled-up carpets may be waiting at the bottom-most parking lot and charges 5€ per person. That is the way to go and a lot of extra fun!

Don't go any further with non 4 x4 vehicles. Good accessible parking lot, last 600 meter is a gravel road. Slow speed is enough to get to the parking.

Great monastery dating from the 15th century, perched on the side of the rock. It used to be a nunnery, but since the last nun died, the place is looked after by priests who go and open it in the morning and close at sunset and leave. You can wander around and go into the two churches, but the nuns' cells are closed, as they are no longer occupied. The road getting there is very good. Don't miss out on taking photos from the view point from the road below.

Monastery in the valley, at an impressive position, nested in the rock. The view is beautiful, as is the way to get there. There is a WC. Outside the monastery there are stands selling local products like honey.

Amazing historical church, there is place for parking outside and then 5 walk until the monastery. We drive from Leonidio and the landscape also the mountains was very beautiful trip. You can see outside from the church many small shops of local items. Beautiful and quiet place. Perfect spot before the monastery for hiking and extreme sports. Many paths to walk around to explore the local nature.

After breakfast by the sea, we check out and continue along the coast road with wonderful views to the village of Leonidio. From here we choose the road into the mountains, which first follows a valley and later winds its way up the mountain in ever steeper bends. Our first stop is the 16th century orthodox monastery of Elonis. It sticks like a swallow's nest under the ledge and you have fantastic views in the morning sun. We are apparently the first visitors and a priest finishes his cell phone call and lights incense as we arrive. In the church there is a lot of gold on the icons and there is a holy spring. On the breakneck path to the monastery you can still take a look at the massive old discarded gate.

Beautiful place with a bunch of information, both in text and through videos, on historical occupations and how they used the water streams. It has exhibits on a granary, tannery, and even a gunpowder shop. Nice views, well maintained, and educational. Absolutely worth a visit. And if you're nice you might get a visit from the museum kitty.

We went there during the 25th of March celebrations period. It was beautiful, the entire town was getting ready for the march with the unique torches as a symbol of the contribution of the town in producing gunpowder during the revolution. The museum showed the actual machinery that is water operated to produce the gunpowder, and so many other things. The place is neat, pretty well explained in English and very unique.

IMPORTANT: visit when the weather is good since it's mostly outdoors. One of the best museums I've visited recently. Incredible exhibits of local history with working mechanisms that show you how gun powder was made, how they washed leather back in the day and how they utilised water power back in the day

A very interesting museum in the countryside where you can find information on how leather was processed and gunpowder was produced in Greece 2 centuries back. We visited on a week day and there were not many visitors, only a few pupils from a school. The visit shouldn't take more than an hour. Make sure you see how the wooden sticks move with the power of the water to smash gunpowder grains. 5 stars, highly recommended!

Hidden gem in Arcadia! Stunning natural formations, fascinating history and an overall magical atmosphere. But what truly made our visit special was our amazing tour guide: kind, incredibly knowledgeable and so passionate about her work. She didn’t just share facts she brought the cave’s history to life with the way she spoke. A big bravo to the entire team, it’s clear they love what they do. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it, it’s absolutely worth the visit!

Sometimes you go somewhere and you aren't sure what to expect.. here this cave surprised us in a gold way.. first of all they offer guide tour.. around an hour it will take you.. big enough cave with very interesting things to see ... And very interesting things to hear from the tour guide.. we really enjoyed every second with spend to this cave. We will definitely come back again during spring time when it will have more water inside the cave.

We originally thought it was closed. It looks abandoned. Then you go to the cafe and wait for a tour group to start. The guide Savas is simply amazing. He makes the cave come to life

Loved the tour through this spectacular cave, felt like I got to the heart of Arcadia. The guide, Savas, is just so passionate and talented that you are going to love it too. They are opened only during the first half of the day and they organize tours every half hour. The last one is at 14,30. I am not posting more photos because the live experience is completely worth it. The ticket is not much, only 6 euros.

20,000,000 years old Cave that keeps one of the most magnificent sculptures of Mother Nature! I can't thank enough Christina Liadi, the Cave Tour Guide, who showed us everything with such excitement and thrill on every step we made with her inside and outside the Cave! Nice beach in Napfliou, you rent the chairs for 15 euro a pair. Beer is 8 euro for 2 big ones. Water is warm but very salty.

I love Tolo beach outside of the season. Its nicer when its not over crowded. Its a sandy, shallow beach which is child friendly for that reason. There are many bars and taverns also a water park at the beach. Tolo beach used to be a blue flag beach, but it has lost its flag in summer of 2025 due to disorganization of the beachside and garbage. The water quality is still good.

Love this area! Clean beach, many shops and restaurants. The growing city is making parking more difficult. Many nice hotels available.

Tolo, unfortunately, has been overexploited through the years. Don't let the seemingly picturesque photos fool you. The beach that used to be the main attraction is literally covered with seats and sunbeds from the local shops. If this was done tastefully, it would be fine. However, the prices are similar to those found in Greek islands and kitsch is the order of the day everywhere. Go to Nafplio instead instead of spending a day here

A beautiful sandy beach with shallow water. There are outdoor showers, deckchairs, changing cabins, free parking, food, drinks, shallow water in the sea for non-swimmers and for children. There is not much space for sports on the beach, but it is worth visiting. Fun little beach.

When there is no wind, the water is amazing, clean, warm, and relaxing. Not deep for many meters far from the beach. Closer to the end of the day you could experience great waves, therefore, kids and adults are full of joy 😁

Great beach, but the Bartender at one of the main coffee and lunch spots is marginally not pleasant. Despite having good products and good waiters, the Barista is as I said , not ideal. Beach is great, sea is Greek and the sun is as always glorious.

Overall a good beach to spend time and enjoy the sea. Sandy beach with clear water, 5 minutes by car from the city. It is big and there are some spots with shade. The only thing that I didn't like is that you can find a lot of cigarette butts in the sand and some trash here or there.

Beautiful beach with the option to shower after a swim. There are some bars and restaurants nearby. Parking is easy, and a few trees provide shade if you don’t have a sun umbrella. The water is clear and the beach is sandy. But be aware—there are still some rocks with sea urchins in the shallow water! It can be quite windy, but the view makes up for it!

Beautiful views from the top, the panoramas are really worth it. Unfortunately, the site itself is poorly maintained, not really visitable inside, and the €20 entrance fee is absolutely too much. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price – €5–10 would be more appropriate considering the limited access and its recent history.

A fantastic place to visit in Nafplio! The view from the top is absolutely stunning, especially when the water around the town turns that beautiful blue-green turquoise shade. There are several viewpoints around the fortress, so take your time to walk around and enjoy the different perspectives. There’s also a small café inside for a quick break. You can either climb up the famous stairs or drive up — both options are worth it. The only downside is that the ticket price feels a bit high, but overall, it’s definitely worth the visit for the view alone!

Absolutely gorgeous views and a very impressive fortress. The architecture and preservation is amazing. We had so much fun exploring and there seemed to be a new view around every corner. I was surprised they even had a little snack cafe’ in the main area and it appeared they were working on some sort of museum as well. Oh…bring good shoes with traction. You’ll thank me later.

The view from the top is breathtaking — you can see the entire town of Nafplio, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. It’s worth every single step of the climb (or drive up if you prefer). The fortress itself is massive, beautifully preserved, and full of history. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring the different bastions, tunnels, and stone pathways. Every corner has a different perspective and photo opportunity. It’s peaceful, scenic, and gives you a real sense of Greek history and architecture. Whether you hike up the 999 steps or drive to the entrance.

Nice view even from the front of the door :) We could not get inside cause the doors were already closed about 5pm. During summer they are open longer till 9pm as I heard.

The fortress is an impressive place with amazing views over Nafplio and the sea. The history and atmosphere are truly worth experiencing. However, the entrance fee (20€ per person) feels a bit high, especially since there’s no museum or additional exhibition inside. It takes no time at all to climb the stairs, but walking down the road will take you about an hour.

The Palamidi Fortress, a grand and impressive Venetian fortress, is nestled on the crest of a high hill overlooking Nafplio. A must-see sight, it feels like a never-ending structure that sprawls across most of the hill. It’s a top destination to visit if you’re nearby, as exploring it and learning about its rich history can take two hours or more. You can access it by climbing 913 steps from the town of Nafplio or by car/taxi, which brings you directly to the fortress entrance, where parking is available. We recommend arriving early, as the parking fills up quickly. The fortress also offers free public restrooms, a bar, and a museum shop.

Amazing condition with only basic restoration. To be able to climb tge steps & sit on the ancient seats is such a treasure. Would be fantastic to attend a show there. A small museum was also quite interesting. The walk through the remaining archaeological site was sadly cut short due to rainy weather.

This is a place to visit indeed, a massive and well-restored ancient theatre overlooking the mountains. We have seen other theaters before, in Thermessos, Aspendos and Phaselis in Antalya, this one is far bigger though. The place has great acoustics and definitely worth a visit, there’s also a museum with findings and inscriptions from the past and a large archeological site.

Incredible site to see! Highly recommend. If you sing, this is a chance to get heard by strangers for an impromptu performance with amazing acoustics and likely applause from visitors. We got lucky and got to hear a short casual performance.

An absolutely incredible site and a must-see in Greece! The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is astonishingly well preserved and famous for its perfect acoustics — you can literally hear someone speaking or dropping a coin from the stage, even from the top rows. The setting among green hills adds to the magic of the place. The surrounding archaeological site and small museum are also worth a visit. It’s an easy and peaceful walk around. Truly one of the highlights of any trip to the Peloponnese!

Really impressive space. The amount of constructions around the place, the sheer size of the theater, the unbelievable acoustics, the good state of conservation, the scenery, everything make up for an unforgetable experience. A must.

It’s impressive to see the theatre, views from the top are wonderful. We did also catch a girl briefly singing & the acoustics are just amazing. The rest of it is just ruins! Very expensive at €20 each - it’s not worth that. No audio guide, not even a restaurant open! No discount for English seniors either, EU only! Another brexit bonus. It was dog friendly - though not allowed in the actual theatre.

The place exceeded my expectations! We didn't manage to see ancient theatres in Athens, but coming here was much better experience. First of all because of much quieter location, much greener, lovely nature and the whole complex around. The theatre structure itself deserves a credit for being preserved so well. Parking at the entrance is huge, no worries about where to leave your car. All info tablets are in two languages, wonderful museum with sculptures. But, obviously, visiting place in mid-October also contributed to my super positive experience. Looking at infrastructure, I can imagine flow of people here in summer.

After seeing the theatre, walking around the surrounding areas and taking in the scenery. Then I think you should go to the museum in order to piece everything together. This museum has all the artifacts found in the surrounding areas. I had a tour guide with me so I was able to appreciate the artifacts, what they meant and the gods that the ancient Greeks worshipped in this area. Without this context I would have been lost. Also €20 euros is a really steep price for in essence a small room and an ancient theatre. It should be €5 in my humble opinion.

Small archaeological museum.. near the theater/ stadium.. I felt a little bit of sorrow.. yes they have some ancient stuff.. but it is small.. not air-conditioning and need restoration.. you see the walls the painting goes out.. I don't know why they don't have it , in good condition.. again this you can see with the same ticket.

This place is definitely worth visiting!!! This is where modern medicine and modern doctors had their beginnings!!

The museum is realy small and highly neglected. It's collection has been plundered from the national museum in Athens leaving mostly replicas behind. Its exhibition is very old fashioned and a bit confusing. The museum collection has some great building parts from the roofs of the ancient temples of the area that are really impressive. But although the museum has its problems the archaeological site is one of the top sites in Greece. The ancient theatre is huge and well preserved (athens theater festival is hosted every summer there). And the remains of the buildings and the temples are really interesting and nicely presented. An UNESCO world heritage site Entrance 12€ and 6€ reduced ticket. Under 18 and eu students for free

I think this is the best beach in Poros island. Trees provide shade and environment up to where the water starts. It is organised and you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. Food and drinks are also available with prices the same like elsewhere. If you wish a good spot it is advisable to go as early as 10 o'clock in the morning.

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff was shockingly rude, the worst treatment we've received in 15 years of visiting beaches in Greece. Poor service, zero hospitality. Definitely not the Greek welcome we’re used to. Would not recommend.

The bay is absolutely gorgeous - crazy clear green waters, lots of fish to observe. This is unfortunately shadowed by poor customer service from there staff and over inflated prices for sunbeds. The staff is eager for money that they invoke some non-existing law that they cannot keep your already paid sunbed for more than 30 minutes. The worst customer experience ever in Greece.

Nice water, nice beach, but the services leave a lot to be desired. In the pure Greek commercial spirit, you pay 20 euros for a lounger, but if you leave more than 30 minutes because you don't want to eat extra lunch from them, you've lost your seats. It is a petite cute beach that is excellent for quiet relaxing time. The bay is surrounded by deep vegetation which ensured its privacy. That is how the name came. It is very popular with couples or even people who prefers quiet calm environment. The water is sea green, clear. The sand is a little red to brown but sandy. The bay water is also calm enough, making it a perfect place for holidays and romantic outings. A narrow road surrounds the bay, but there is not much traffic in it. The bay has shower and drinking facilities.

Nice little beach with catch name. The waters look nice from above, but when you get in, you'll realize they are pretty muddy. OK for 1 time but it wouldn't be my favorite beach. The beach bar offer some sunbeds but at full season it's very very crowded.

It was my long walk on New Year's day, came all the way from the port that's downtown Poros & it was absolutely stunning! No wonder it's crowded in the summer, there were others enjoing a little picnic on the same day, such a quiet lovely place with crystal clear waters, looking forward to visiting again in the summer!

After a hard and hot days walking we needed to relax😁 Askelli beach is near to our studio so decided to head there😁🇬🇷 Very nice sun beds and umbrellas and even found a bit of shade 😁 €15 for two beds 😁🇬🇷 Nice bar area. Really beautiful beach 😍 the coast is sandy, seawater is clean. This place isn’t crowded ( in the middle of June) I was missing the bar and coffee shop or tavernas therefore only four stars for me…( this place is so far the supermarket and any possible of buying) If you want you can get a sunbed as well.

The beach is really good, in the beginning starting at the golden hotel don't have rocks many rocks and the umbrellas are for free. If you go bit more to the left is where the rocky part starts but if you have watershoes is just fine! Enjoy and have fun !

Went there on a mid-sunny May afternoon. Definitely not overcrowded (maybe due to the time period) but a very nice and picturesque beach! Sand was clean enough to lay down with your towel and the sea was also very clear and clean! 4 stars just because it lacks of amenities such as bars, umbrellas etc.

Water is abit cold today as is quite windy in September , we got a spot right on the rocky beach , is not sandy so is quite a feet massage to go thru that for a swim. we got our set of lounge seat from the nearby restaurant , Askeli . 12€ a day for the set of two. Price reasonable I reckon , and you can order drinks and snack to be serve. overall the staff are very friendly. Beach is not full at all, so is kind of peaceful and we enjoyed it very much

Impressive place to visit if you are in historical stuff, or have a vivid imagination, took me about an hour to study it but the sun was unforgivable, take sunscreen and put it on all your body parts :) there is a car parking at the top. The place is quite amazing.

Very interesting history and some very impressive sights. Some of the paths are slippery and hard to walk on so be mindful of what shoes you wear. Costs 20 per person so not bad but would be a much better value if you are a history buff. The experience was quite humbling at times thinking about the ancient civilization. Parking was nuts and it wasn’t even that busy of a day. Overall we were happy we went but it isn’t something we’d pay for again.

We stopped by on our way to Nafplion and it was totally worth it. The site is surrounded by mountains, and the views are just amazing - both towards the peaks and the sea. We arrived around 10 in the morning and it was already pretty busy, parking wasn’t easy to find. By around 1 p.m. it got really crowded, so it’s better to come earlier if you can. The ticket costs 20€, which feels a bit pricey, but the place is quite big and full of interesting things to see — tombs, caves, and old stone walls. Definitely a must-see if you’re in the area.

Very extensive site with good explanations in Greek and English. The parking was a bit tight but cleared out after buses left at midday. I love the beehive tomb very unusual in my experience.

A must-see, of course! Even though not much remains from the Bronze Age structures, it’s fascinating to walk through the site and imagine how this mighty citadel once stood proudly atop the hill, surrounded by majestic mountains and a breathtaking landscape. The atmosphere feels ancient and mysterious — you can really sense the weight of history here. Don’t miss the royal tombs, especially the Treasury of Atreus (or Tomb of Agamemnon) located a bit further down the road — it’s truly impressive!

Parking is small, it gets filled up quickly. The museum should be visited first for a better understanding. The Mycenian culture greatly influenced other peoples, it is very significant in history. The city is huge and with lots of monumental architecture. Too little info onsite to be honest.

A must visit site for anyone interested in the Mycenaean civilisation. Be warned though, there is very little shade and thus no real respite from the heat on a hot day. Additionally, the 'cafe' at the entrance is run by a scalper - €5 for a litre of water is outrageous.

Paralia Aponisos is a beautiful and peaceful spot on Agistri Island, offering crystal-clear waters and stunning natural scenery. Unlike the adjacent private islet of Aponisos, which charges an entrance fee (€6) for access to sunbeds, umbrellas, and food facilities, this beach area is completely free. Getting There: Paralia Aponisos is about a 15–20 minute drive from Skala, the island’s main port town. The route follows Agistri’s main road — it’s narrow but in good condition and very easy to navigate. Once you arrive, you can park conveniently right near the beach. The Experience: The beach itself is small, but the surrounding rocks offer plenty of spots to lay down a towel and relax, even though you’ll be lying on rocks rather than sand. The water is incredibly clear, with the feeling of a natural pool — really something out of a movie. The seabed is rocky for the first 20–30 meters, then turns into soft sand with beautifully transparent water, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. When we visited in early May, it was very peaceful and uncrowded, with only a handful of people around. Just be aware that during peak summer months (July and August), it likely gets much busier. Facilities and Surroundings: Behind the beach there’s a small port area and a food establishment (a bar/café), so you have options for refreshments nearby. To the side, you’ll see the private islet of Aponisos, which you can reach via a concrete platform. On the islet, for a fee, you’ll find organized facilities like sunbeds, umbrellas. Just a heads-up: directly behind the small sandy part of the beach, there’s a small port area, along with the road and a parking area for scooters and cars. This does take a little away from the feeling of untouched nature, since you’re not completely secluded. Still, the beach itself is so beautiful and the water so clear that you’ll probably enjoy it there anyway — once you’re swimming or relaxing by the sea, it’s easy to forget about what’s behind you. Final Thoughts: Paralia Aponisos offers a stunning, clear-water swimming spot with easy access and a laid-back vibe. Whether you want to snorkel, swim, or just relax on the rocks, it’s a fantastic place to spend a few hours. Just keep in mind that it’s not a sandy beach, and it may be much busier in the high season. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend visiting if you’re in Agistri.

Best beach of the island in terms of views and facilities. Entry with umbrella and regular sunbed is 6€ per person, and they have plenty (I’d say at least 100). If you want a set with cushion sunbeds (more comfy) it’s 5€ more (2,5€ per person). Considering the beach and the views, it’s excellent value for money. Very important: if you want, you can contact them to reserve sunbeds without additional fees, to make sure they are available when you arrive. This might be very useful especially during the weekends, where there are many more people and it might be hard to find available sunbeds. There is a beach bar with some food and drink options, and you can order directly from your sunbed through a button which calls a server without additional charge, very nice. The water is fantastic, there is both a shallow and a deep area, and you can also rent a kayak to explore the bay. Overall, I highly recommend, one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to, particularly nice after 5pm when most people have gone away and it’s quieter. Side note about the bus: as per July 2025, there are 2 (occasionally 3) buses that go from Skala to Aponissos, stopping by Megalochori, Dragoneira and Limenaria. The timetables are displayed on site, but it’s usually once an hour. While during the week you can manage to catch the bus in the morning (either the tourist bus for 5€ or the regular bus for 2€), during the weekend it’s almost impossible to catch one before 13:00, and there are very few taxis on the island, so I recommend be prepared for that maybe by reserving in advance or by renting a scooter. Conversely, catching the bus to go back in the afternoon, especially after 18, is much easier.

- It’s a private beach with 6Euro entrance fee. The fee includes sunbed with shade (no mattress- with mattress you pay 5Euro/2 person more and if with bed and cover- 10Euro). - However the access to the water is free as it can be access before the entrance. Out of that area there are 2 restaurants and many shade below trees. - Good service and perfect organization. Stay and press the button, they will come to get your order. Price is reasonable. - They also provide some stuff on the water for you to have fun. - The beach is sandy (still rocks here and there but still). About 6km from Skala.

It is a very beautiful place with lovely surroundings. The water is clear and great for swimming. However, admission to the sun loungers costs €6 per person, and a sun lounger costs an additional €10 per person. The front sun loungers in the first row are even more expensive. .

A very pretty beach with crystal clear water. There is a private beach side, cost of entry is 5€ which includes a sunbed. The customer service is very friendly and quick with reasonable prices. There is also a free area where you can lay down towels and rest under tree shades.

Beautiful beach. You don't need to cross the bridge in order to enjoy the beautiful water. Be aware that the sand is rocky and Not sutible for barefoot. Lots of urchin!

Sadly enough nearly all of the videos were only in Greek, no subtitles. Off course the text boards were in both Greek and English, but perhaps English subtitles would be a good idea, giving more feel of what happened here.

One of the best museums in Greece. It has a good mix of historical evidences, testimonies of the survivors, digital archives, collection of personal items of the martyrs, letters etc. The set up of the exhibition and the presentation was exceptional. The museum is within the school which was an important part of Kalavryta’s history. It is definitely worth a visit.

It is a small museum of 4 rooms, but I think it is essential to understand well the history of kalavrita, there are some videos with some witnesses of the German olocaust. It doesn't have cruel images, but I won't suggest it for children. I suggest to visit it immediately when you get off the train.

Excellent museum that tells the terrible story of the 13 December 1943 atrocities against the people of Kalavrita. The building was the town’s school, where the population was gathered, and then separated forever. The displays and videos are extremely moving.

Amazing museum that gives you a full sight of the chronicle of the slaughter of people that stayed in Kalavryta by the nazis during the second world was! Really emotional was the fact that there are several monitors with videos with testimonies from survivors! It was very touching! Definetely recommended if you find yourself in Kalavryta!

The museum and the archaeological site of Corinth are definitely worth visiting! I recommend bringing water, a hat, and comfortable shoes, especially on hot days. The only downside is that it’s a bit tricky to get there: you either need a car or have to take a taxi (from Corinth town we paid €12 to reach Ancient Corinth and the archaeological site). That said, it’s absolutely worth it. On our way back to Athens, our taxi driver stopped at the Isthmus of Corinth(20€): we got to see the canal, take some photos, and there’s also a ticket office and a bus stop for the return to Athens.

Easy to get to off the main highway. Normally open 8am to 8 pm. Closes at 6:30 in October. Costs to enter. They do not give you a map so you will need to read the signs to understand what you are viewing. The museum was nice and flowed well. It is easy for adults and small children to navigate.

We have been looking forward to seeing this archaeological site for years. The ruins of Corinth we see today are from the Roman era. This site was founded by Julius Caesar himself. The Greek city was destroyed by the Roman general Lucius Mummius in 146 BC. For us, the best aspect of seeing these ruins is to follow in the footsteps of the apostle Paul. He ministered to Corinth for 18 months.

So incredible to walk through what was once a thriving and bustling structure in ancient Greece. We especially were in awe of the Bema where the Apostle Paul would speak...so cool and rich in biblical history. A must see in Greece!

I went with a group and we had a guide. I would say having a guide of some sort is key to understanding more of its history. The ruins are beautiful and there is a small museum that also has restrooms. There is a decent amount to explore in Corinth. There is also a small town center with snacks, food, and souvenirs.

100% worth the drive especially if you combine it with a trip up to Acrocorinth. So much history happened here both from a Greek mythology perspective and a Christian/biblical perspective. Bring you walking shoes!

Great museum, the ancient city grounds and ruins are one of the best in all of Greece. If you love the anvient cities it is a must see. Rent a car and drive out and visit this and many sites nearby. Free for under 18

This great monastery began as a reclusive abandon for monks seeking solitude and serenity for their prayers. They found this within the impressive cave. Gradually, more arrived, and they started building, and it gradually evolved into the massive complex we see today. At some part, as is most common with monasteries of the late medieval times, the accumulation of wealth (offerings of the pious) and provisions (the produce of the lands of the monastery, cultivated by monks residing within) attracted invaders. Thus, they evolved not only as communities but also as defensive structures. The tower just to the left of the main entrance to the yard tells part of this story. Its height, with arrow slits at all levels, bespeaks of its function with profane eloquence. The overall site is an outstanding natural landscape with wonderful architecture and a magnificent view. It is also easy to visit and requires little time. Therefore, believer or not, it's well worth a stop.

One of the oldest, if not the oldest, monastery in Greece.. it is built on a cliff of a mountain.. for sure what we see now isn't how it was.. they renovated the monastery in 2013 last time. As you can imagine the monastery has a lot of history so you can read a book about it. Road is good to go up there. It is free for Greek orthodox , I don't know if you need a ticket for the foreign tourists... But It is logical, we pay for tickets when we visit abroad places. So tourists must not complain.

Very good experience, the church inside is amazing, the cavern is an experience. Road to reach this place is pretty full of turns….by car is OK, by bus I do not think so….

We stopped by this monastery on the way, just 30 minutes before closing. Inside the monastery, there is a small cave, but nothing too special. However, if you go up the path to the right of the monastery and go through a small gate, you’ll find a trail with amazing views of the valley. We walked quite far along it, and the views were really beautiful. Highly recommended!

Monastery Mega Spileon is a decent quick stop if you're in the area. About half an hour from the highway, you're looking at roughly a 20-minute visit to see everything. The monastery itself is kind of nice but not too exciting. There's a small museum with some religious artifacts, though nothing particularly memorable. What makes the trip worthwhile are the views - they're genuinely great and amazing. The monastery's location offers beautiful panoramic vistas that are definitely worth photographing. Overall, it's a reasonable quick stop for the scenic views, but don't expect it to be a highlight. Worth a brief visit if you have extra time, but not a destination in itself.

The Holy Monastery of Mega Spileon is magnificent - packed with history, spirituality, and dramatic natural setting. A must-visit.

We checked this place online and it said it’s free entrance so we jumped in a car and drove an hour to see a monastery. We were so excited, enjoyed breathtaking views all along our way. When we got inside and were enjoying nice art inside a museum we were greeted by a monk who told us that it cost 3 euros each to be there. We did not have any cash and he told us that in mountains nobody takes credit cards which is not true because everyone else had no problem with it. He basically asked to leave… so disappointing … and misleading…

It's a beautiful temple, which I highly recommend visiting to learn about its historical significance. It's one of the three temples in the "Sacred Triangle." Admission is 10 euros and also gives you access to the museum.

Beautifully maintained Temple of the Goddess Aphaia, a mysterious figure local to Aegina and sometimes Crete. Pausanias (2nd c. CE) records that the Aeginetans called Britomartis “Aphaia. The Temple is really well-preserved and maintained. Admission is 10 Euro. Go early in the morning to avoid the buses and crowds. Taxis do go up here.

I like to call this island pistachio island. Everywhere you go including the beautiful temple of Aphaia are pistachios. Beautiful views and I would love to go here in the evening to take in the view of Athens. Amazing views.

A must-see if you’re visiting Aegina! The Temple of Aphaia is beautifully preserved and stands on a hill with an absolutely stunning view over the sea and even the mainland on a clear day. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels very authentic compared to the crowded sites in Athens. Totally worth the 20-minute ride from the main port — it gives a real sense of ancient Greece. And after your visit, don’t miss grabbing a pistachio ice cream from the little shop right next to the site — Aegina’s specialty and the perfect way to end the visit!

It was okay. Maybe a lot better if we didn't walk a mile straight up to get there. Ruins with a small tourist store. Interesting information tables throughout. Lots of cats roaming around begging for food. Cost $10 euros to explore site. Very nice view from the top. Several tour busses were visiting at the same time as we were there.

It wasn’t that easy to get here - the ferry and then the taxi. But it’s worth it because of its more than 2.5K history and no need to jostle with other tourists. We got all the photos we wanted. The cats were very friendly once they knew we had cat food

It is a beautiful ancient temple well preserved. I don't know about the entrance cost because EU citizens under 25 have free entrance upon showing their ID. Highly recommend

The trip was about an hour and a half from where i'm staying.But after you get out of the hustle and bustle, the trip was awesome. A lot of places you could pull over and take pictures or just pull over and go down to the shore. The temple itself was twenty euros, which seemed kind of high.But I did have a good time and got plenty of pictures.

The temple is beautiful, but the tickets are a little expensive for how much time you can actually spend here. This is definitely one of the best places you can watch the sunset from, though. We went on a semi-cloudy day, and even then the sunset was stunning. There is also a cafe that is nice to take some time to relax at, since if you're staying in Athens it is a bit of a drive.

A beautiful place in itself, but the unjustifiably high price of €20 made us turn back and take a free walk in another part of the peninsula, where the views were just as breathtaking. Is the price of watching the sunset — even next to such a stunning temple — really comparable to the entrance fee for Mycenae, Corinth, or Epidaurus, where, in addition to the ruins, you also visit a museum and get a wealth of information? A highly promoted tourist spot — deservedly so for its amazing views, but not for its price.

Well worth the visit. Beautiful spot for sunset or sunrise just pity cant buy tickets in advance and so creates lenghty lines to get in . One desk to buy tickets . Bathrooms another long line for ladies especialy.

This place is just magical during sunset.🌄 It was actually raining when we got there and just before the sunset at 18:30, the weather turned. There was also a beautiful rainbow🌈 Don't buy tickets in advance due to weather conditions, so just buy on the spot.

Visiting the Temple of Poseidon was an unforgettable experience. The temple itself is truly majestic, standing tall for more than 2,000 to 3,000 years and offering a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Greek history. The surrounding sea views are breathtaking, and when combined with the temple’s presence, it feels almost magical. The highlight of the visit was without doubt the sunset. It is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with the colors reflecting over the Aegean Sea and the temple glowing in the evening light. The road leading to the temple was also a wonderful part of the journey, with scenic views all along the way. A must-visit when in Greece! 🌅🏛️

The temple on the edge of the sea is a magnificent view. It's definitely worth it to visit. It's not so hard to get to there from Athens with the public transport. You can take the bus to Sunion which cost only 6.20 euros in direction. We took it from the Singrou-fix at around 11 o'clock. The trip to there takes around two hours and the road is very beautiful by the sea. The entrance ticket is 20 euros. There is coffee/restaurant there. The bus will drop you off right to the entrance of the temple.

Standing on the bridge, you get a powerful sense of the history and the immense engineering effort it took to carve this narrow, deep channel through solid rock. Nice place to stop by! Such a deep and narrow cuts which separates the Peloponnese peninsula from the Greek mainland. With a nice history behind ofcourse. Only the view from the bridge is stunning. I wanted to try bungee jumping here but it was closed 😩 Still, totally worth the visit!

Parking was easy and the area felt tourist-friendly. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through the region — even a short visit is worth it!

The Corinth Canal is a fascinating sight. Typically, tour buses heading to the Peloponnese start there for a rest break and spend a few minutes seeing the canal. The ancient Greeks and Romans dreamed of building a canal here, but lack the technical ability. It was completed in the late 1800s using steam equipment. If you are able, suggest driving to the Diolkos. This was the ancient road that ran across the isthmus, mainly to transfer goods and on rare occasions ships.

This canal is impressive, but it’s a short 5-minute visit. Don’t expect much to do here; there’s nothing to see or do.

You can't imagine how much I love Corinth canal, it looks unreal. I was many times here and always is amazing. I can stand on the bridge all day long. Don't miss this beauty.

Absolutely amazing! Stunning views. We stopped here while travelling through Greece. There was plenty of parking and also many restraunts, shops, cafés and beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend going to see and experience for yourself.

A hidden gem for sure - more of a beach club than we were expecting but it’s very relaxed with a great array of amenities (showers, bar, restaurant). It’s a beautiful setting and the doctor fish were a great add to the experience. Staff aren’t the most welcoming or attentive but the food was tasty. Would recommend!

Had a wonderful time at the lake today, we got there for about 11-11.30 (via metro and bus, took an hour) and queued for 10 minutes. Didn’t ask for student identification and we easily managed to get two sunbeds as there was still many available. It was lovely vibe. Foods quite pricey for small portions and not a lot of vegetarian options, just tomato basil pasta or margherita pizza as the two hot mains. We spent a few hours here, loved the fish. Water was SO salty! Not seen anyone else post about how salty it was, suprised me a lot! The lake was pretty cold despite it saying 25 degrees but fair enough. Changing facilities were good. Only two cubicles for female toilets though which surprised me. I enjoyed the experience as a whole!

This place is just suuuuper cool👍👍 Enjoyed it just a to the beginning of March, sunny weather. Sun is very warm, but not burning, temperature in the lake is very refreshing. Lake is surrounded by the high rocks, so there is no wind there, just a smooth breeze.All what you need on weekend!! and it is very close to Athens 👍

Absolutely great idea to visit this lake. Come early as the sunbeds get occupied pretty fast by lunch time. No sunscreen allowed into the water, which is perfect in my opinion. Food and drinka available as well as wheelchair access.

This is a spectacular lake and chill beach club. It is such great spot to spend the day but the bad service of the staff there really let it down. I visited in June 2024 and had a wonderful experience in a cabana with my family. I even wrote an 3-page feature article about the Athens Riviera mentioning it and Abraovato for Robb Report ANZ where I was the assistant editor at the time. This year my visit today was still beautiful but the service was underwhelming. There was a mix up with my booking on the door which resulted in the blonde female manager in charge being very rude to on the door acting aggressively from the start. Then after settling down to read in our pre-booked lounge chairs for 50 euro (not what we thought wee were getting really) we ordered mineral water and coffee and decided to make the most of where we were seated. But after our first swim we were then surrounded by two male lifeguards, a swarthy and loud old male pool cleaner, and another two older male service people who gossiped very loudly right behind us for over 25 -30 minutes which made me very uncomfortable and made it hard to concentrate on drawing and reading (let alone sleeping which would have been nice). I didn't come to the beach club to sit around with a bunch of strange men who were supposed to be working and weren't. Every time i turned around they were staring at me. The place was pretty empty so we asked to please be moved to a quieter spot and we did move to some chairs right around the back of the lake where we continued reading and sketching the lake. We ordered a salad and a cocktail and moved all our own stuff to some new sun beds that were just in the sun. Again empty beds around us for as far as the eye could see Then we were getting prepared to relax when the blonde female manager came back over and told us we had to pay another 60 euro to stay on the sunbeds. So instead of staying until 6.00pm and eating and drinking as we had intended and having a snooze there went to the One &Only for lunch in Glyfada where the service, pool and bar is impeccable. This beach club could have made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable and the unprofessional staff really let it down. Had they offered us an upgrade to start with and some good service we could have had a great time. I have told so many people about this place and now I will not continue to because there is a nasty attitude in the staff that is truly inexplicable.

Everything is great. But look on this toilets.??? 17 euros entrance ticket and you can not fix it. You can see a neighbor in another cabin from the hole in that plastic cover. The door is not closing and the button with a mechanism outside

Very beautiful place. But the staff ist handeling und the equipment during opening houers in the afternoon which is very noisy and disturbing. They even take your chairs away you pay for and put yor stuff somewhere else 2h before closing. If one charges about 40 EUR entrance fee clarly wrong.

One of my favorite place where you can enjoy great view and wonderful boats. Good places for drink, dinner or lunch. Or just walk aroun snd enjoy the atmosphere.🫶🥰❤️😍 and parking available two hours only €6!!!

The area is popular for walking, dining, and relaxing, with cafes, restaurants, and shops. It’s a great place to enjoy the seaside atmosphere close to the city center.

An excellent marina with a large number of berths for all types of vessels. The marina also has a number of bars and restaurants with excellent service and very good food where everyone can find something for themselves and there is also a gift shop if you want to buy a little something or a souvenir.

Fast and comfortable trip that was on time both ways. I removed 2 stars only because I went to the ticket desk in Aegistra and the friendly agent said it was no problem to board an earlier ferry. I repeated myself just to make sure she understood that my ticket time was different and she patiently responded that the QR code would work. The QR code did not work, however, when I boarded and so I was unsure if I would have to buy a new ticket. The agent on the boat said she would take care of it and disappeared never to return. Please just make sure your agents and your ticket scanners are on the same page

Fast ticket sales. Very accommodating. Was able to change my ticket times so we can go back to Athens earlier than planned.

Don’t stress the reviews, reliable, easy to book online, got us there quickly, everyone was kind, just don’t come late and you won’t be stressed. Really grateful and such a more pleasant commute than flying!

Last boat of the day had a problem so they cancelled with no communication or care for how people get back from Aegina, they said email for refunds, and refused to issue them there. absolutely no duty of care for customers

Riding the ferry to Aegina from Athens was beautiful. The ferry ride was amazing and comfortable. The ride was 40 minutes and $40 round-trip. It was a slow day, it was easy to get tickets. It was a beautiful day on a beautiful ferry.

I love this Zoo. We come with my son who is now 2 for over the year every weekend. We come less in summer, as it is hot. Its amazing zoological park with big variety of animals. Animals overall seems to get a great care. One thing tho, I really dont like how they "care" for rabbits! Im an owner of the rabbit fo over 12 years and the care they get at zoo is absolutely inadequate. They should do afoption program for them there. But real and seriouse one, maybe to partner with shelter, etc... And I do belive the seals need a much bigger pool. Also I wish the owner could participate with nice coffee shops and spread them around the territory. So people can have wariety of options. Also I do belive place can benefit from more programs like : buy a steak for Lion, or buy some food for animal of choice and you can see him fed by our stuff at certain hours. Thats will bring more money and more returned visitors and more visitors in general. We have annual path. Its amazing park otherwise to come to.

Very nice organized zoo close to Athens, very close to the airport. It has a large variety of exhibits. The dolphins pool is unique, I have never seen that kind of activity in a zoo. The Asian elephants are great. The butterflies area is also very nice. Has a lot of spots to seat, with plenty of shadow. The crew was very helpful, the place well maintained, and not crowded.

We really enjoyed our visit, so much we stayed 6 hours! If you have young kids, renting a trolley is worth it as there is obviously a lot of walking. Regardless of what you think of zoos, the zoo is clean, animals seem healthy and happy and it’s a great educational environment for children to learn to respect the planet and the animal kingdom. A fantastic day out!

It was a wonderful experience, especially the Lemurian therapy :)) ! There is great variety of animals and they are very well taken care of. The trail is beautiful with trees and greenery. We spent aroud 3h but you need around 4h-4:30h to see everything.

Amazing experience for my little boy 💙 I know he won't remember today's activities but he enjoyed it the most, so we decided it's good for his brain development to repeat this activity every year until he is old enough to create meaningful memories with his family 😁 until next time then!!!

I can't say enough good things about this zoo. It's clear from the moment you walk in that the staff genuinely cares about the animals and their well-being. Every animal looked incredibly well-maintained, healthy, and clean. The enclosures are spacious and meticulously looked after, providing a great environment for the animals. Beyond the animals, the entire zoo was spotlessly clean and well-arranged. The pathways were clear, the landscaping was beautiful, and it was easy to navigate from one exhibit to another. It made for a very pleasant and enjoyable day.

The Athens Zoo is a true oasis of joy for animal lovers. The fact that you don’t have to wait in long lines and can even enter certain areas to feed the animals makes the experience truly wonderful. It’s a beautiful, relaxing place filled with special moments.

A monastery off the beaten path which we really liked! We took a detour to the monastery on our way back from Arachova to Athens. It is big and beautiful and has a beautiful painted crypt and inside of the church. Well looked after and lost of interesting history. The stables and one or two other buildings did burn down 2-3 years ago and they are restoring it. It does not distract from the great experience and I can highly recommend the place. Lots of parking and we could pay by card.

A must see. Worth a detour, worth a visit. Meteora is also a must see at a stunning location. This is a stunning monastery at a beautiful place.

Stunning view of the mountains, the building itself is beautifully taken care of, it is active so people do go to participate in service but there is plenty of small areas to explore with bits of history information and a small museum room where u need to buy entry tickets. There is a large parking lot higher up from monastery but with the hills and stairs it could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. There are clean toilets for use before you get the entry gate as well

I drive in from Domvrina. The drive was amazing, Ag Anna was beautiful, all the villages on the way were beautiful and the Monestery is in a unbelievable place. Stunning views. The people there are so nice. I recommend anyone visiting Greece visit here.

Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Lots of history and things to see. I think it was 10€ to enter.

Gorgeous monastery that everyone should visit. I can't believe how obscure this place is when it's monumental and religious value matches that of Parthenon in its respective hostorical era. The view is wonderful and everyone is so friendly and willing to share facts about Saint Loukas and the monastery itself.

Lovely place for a short trip from Athens. Best fish taverns and best place for walk close to seaside. Calm city. This aerial photo can show you the beauty of this place. This bridge also used long years before for extreme sports.

Ancient technology but still strong when walking on it and cars passing by, you can feel the noice. And a ship crossing we well all stoped both cars and humans. And you can hear the noice as they left the bridgle, amaizing. And I love the surroundings restaurants bars et cetera.

I'm glad to have seen this old bridge. I walked over this and admired the Island of Evia from the Mainland side. Looking into the sea, the currents are so strong.
