It was good fun. You must visit if you have the time. It takes around 1 hour to complete it. Lovely illusions and trick eye on all the pictures. They have different rates for Individuals and for family packages that work of cheaper. The staff was very helpful and explained us how to take pictures to get a good 3D effect. Kids and adults both will enjoy the place. Follow the instructions given on the floor for each picture to be taken . We went on a weekday and it was practically empty

Fantastic visit. I loved it. We had so much fun there taking loads of photos at so many stations of amazingly crafted designs of Art to include people into the photos. Fabulous variety and awesome experience.

It was a lot of fun. The 3D illusions were impressive. There are suggestions on how to take the photos on the floor and where to stand. But generally hold the camera in a slightly elevated position. Allow at least 1.5 to 2 hours here if you want to take photos at every station and especially if you come with friends. If you come alone you'll need a tripod. Selfies will not work.

Took the Kids today to Artvo and they had a great time. So many illusions to take pictures with and a place for good photography. So many memories made and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good experience near the Melbourne CBD. Thanks for having us!

ArtVo is more than just a gallery; it’s a reminder that creativity thrives when we allow ourselves to have fun and see the world from new perspectives. Sometimes, the best memories are painted with laughter and shared moments of creativity.

Beautiful art work to entertain kids, every art was placed well to be able to take photos and the directions to take photos are so simple. We had a great time and is a must see in Melbourne

Great place to visit with family and friends. Kids enjoyed it a lot. Nice views of Melbourne and great to visit during nice and clear day. Night views are also great. During night time they lit up the wheel which looks great from distance. We visited during school holidays and have to wait about 2 hours due to the long queue however due to the wait we get to see both day and night views of Melbourne. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great cafes and restaurants available. Toilets are available on site. Lots of on street and undercover parking available.

Really wish this iconic landmark would reopen. It's such a must-see and has been since I was young and visiting Melbourne in the early 2010s. Visiting docklands isn't the same without this operating.

A Melbourne icon and a fantastic place to see thhis beautiful city from a new perspective. The pods are climate controlled and the wheel turns so slowly that you barely feel it moving. Views are just phenomenal. Plenty of close parking and restaurants nearby for a fun day or night out.

Wonderful experience, the staff were lovely and the pricing was good, you can even go around again straight away for $2. The view is amazing at night or during the day. I would definitely recommend checking this out!

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the queues were small, which was a bonus. An even better bonus was getting a cabin all to ourselves as there were not many other visitors at the time. The views were great and the commentary was good too, however we thought there could have been some ambient music or something whilst there was no commentary. The staff were lovely and helpful, also there is an impressive Lego model of the wheel in the gift shop which is a must see!

This is my second time to take on. The first the lady attendant was real rude and didn't allow my friend and I have our own cabin while there less than 10 clients. That's the main reason I took off one star for it. This time the friendly male attendant give me a way much better experience! Got amazing photos and really enjoyed my journey.

It's always a great place to shop and to visit when in Melbourne. It's a plus that it's close to the city center and around 15 minutes away (including a 5 minute walk) via the city tram. Uber and cab accessible. Lots of dining options inside the mall and even outside along the the wharf.

DFO is always fun for a bargain hunt! The Adidas outlet was a standout with some seriously good discounts, scored some great gear for way less than usual. Worth popping in if you’re nearby.

It is a big outlet mall with lots of brand shops and good discounts. It’s nice and easy to walk around. Parking is a bit expensive but you can get discount if you shop. Good place to find deals.

Great array of shopping options of all the big name brands and retailers. As far as special discount items go I would recommend checking online for a good guide to pricing as the onsite specials are not that much different from regular prices. But there are some bargains to be found.

Way too crowded, a nightmare to get in with a car and prone to car accidents in how people squeeze cars trying to change lanes brutally. The downstairs section of the outlet is the larger section and as there’s no natural light, it’s rather claustrophobic. Coupled with a huge amount of people on a Sunday, it was a migraine triggering experience. In terms of shopping, it’s a typical outlet, sometimes you’re lucky you find bargains. It’s a personal shopping experience. Plenty of food in the food court. Not the DFO my us personally. Prefer Moorabin one.

Easy walking round this shopping centre to find loads of bargains from branded retailers that also has a great food court and homewares sections. Would appreciate some seating close to the amenities though.

A visit to Sealife is a wortwhile and enjoyable activity for the whole family. There is something for everyone and a wide selection of exhibits. They have sharks, rays, turtles, jellyfish, seahorses a touch tank, frogs, snakes and penguins! The lift upgrade was happening during our visit so had to park the pram out front. We had reserved a pram spot but were strongly advise against it unless we absolutely needed it. Managed ok without it. They have "free" pictures which they ask you to pay $40 for at the end. To be fair they come in a very cute book and it is a neat souvenier. Overall, recommend. Will be good once the lift is fixed.

It was ok, maybe were just spoilt other similar places around the word are way better. I really wanted to give it 3.5 but that wastnt an option. I went with my 15 year old daughter and we went as slow as we could and were in and out in under 2 hours. The exhibits were pretty good but there was a lot a areas with nothing. You also couldn't really do multiple laps more like a one way system. It was also very tired and in need of a huge update. So areas were unique and very enjoyable like jelly fish section. The crocodile pen was closed which we were unaware of. I does get really busy, I don't think it's worth queueing up for long unless you've neve been to an aquarium before. It's also on the expensive side for what there is. Perth Aqua which I think is better is about $20 cheaper. The only good thing is kids age is 15 which is very fair.

We've been members here for years and totally love it. They've renovated, especially with a cool new section where you can check out native marine life like biscuit starfish and spider crabs, and explore the rocky shore. The interactive rockpool is awesome for all ages, and their staff are super helpful, explaining all the species. One young Asian guy, I didn't catch his name, was amazing – he'd notice us looking at something and then drop extra facts. My toddler was hooked and learned so much from him! We went on a Friday around lunchtime. This place always delivers with spot talks all day long. We ended up staying over four hours. If you're coming from far, they have designated parking for a discount, but definitely check their website first. This time, we parked across at Crown Multi Parking and only paid $15 since we arrived before lunch and left around 4 pm. Their membership is worth buying especially if you have a little and wants to come for few hours. I highly recommend.

Wonderful exhibit, loved how interactive it was and lots for many different age groups, walking through the tunnel aquarium with big sharks and rays swimming above you is excellent. Penguins were the best part. Food quite reasonably priced wrap very yummy (chips too)

My partner took me here for a surprise date! He knows I love fish… it was perfect. I would recommend getting tickets in advance because it’s cheaper and if your students too there is a discount. The aquarium itself is quite large and the area where you can touch the starfish was nice. Although I feel bad about going to aquariums I think it’s nice to inform the general population about ecosystems that are in danger and how to help them as common people. I think fish are quite the underestimated and not so seen importance of our earth. I’m happy to see animals but it makes me sad to see them in enclosures. I hope that Sealife is an active participant in the ocean life and contributes in helping with the destruction of our earth.

The aquarium is much larger than I expected, and its strongest feature is the jellyfish zone, genuinely stunning and almost hypnotic to watch. The penguin exhibit is also engaging, helped by the addition of a fun 4D cinema experience. That said, there are several drawbacks. The souvenir prices are noticeably inflated, often around 40% higher than what you’d find elsewhere. Some of the larger tanks feel surprisingly empty, with fewer fish than you’d expect in a space that size. The overall variety of marine life is a bit limited, and there aren’t many interactive activities to keep the experience dynamic.

Was a nice experience. takes around 2 hours to go through the whole aquarium. My criticism of it from when I went to this aquarium when it first opened and then 5 years ago is that they have way less marine life now. Not sure of it’s a cost cutting measure or for animal welfare? Some of the tanks looked amazing and some had 3 fish in them for example. And lots of walking around with big open spaces but would prefer more tanks of marine life.

This is by far our favorite Prada Store in Melbourne..fantastic staff and customer service especially from the Manager Hamish and Client Advisor Christine. My wife and I were welcomed, taken care of and treated fantastically from the minute we walked in. My wife left with two handbags , shoes and earings and samples of perfumes... This store and staff set the benchmark that others could learn from.

I purchased a white Saffiano leather handbag from Prada at the outlet store in Montevarchi Tuscany in July 2023 whilst on holidays. I carefully stored the handbag and in October 2023 I took the bag out of the dust bag for the first time to use it. To my utmost shock, the white leather on the front and back was now a shade of yellow, the sides and bottom were the original white colour. I called Prada in Melbourne, they told me that I would have to take the bag to them for photographing and that they would contact their head office - which I did. They assured me that they had never seen this sort of discolouration before. (I now know this to be rubbish based on other reviews that I have seen!) I requested that they find a replacement bag for me - they claim that they were unable to find one. They had very similar ones in their store but they never offered to replace the defective one. After a very long and painful process taking several months, they agreed to give me my money back for the defective bag. This took well over a month and when they did transfer the money, they short paid me and blamed it on the bank fees - which was their responsibility to cover. I will never purchase a Prada product again. I would recommend choosing another brand.

First time attempting to shop at the Crown store for my birthday usually I shop at Collins St store (Which is always amazing service) and my partner and I have an extensive purchase history with them, was just denied entry into the store this afternoon by two girls while I was wearing multiple products from Prada.. Assuming it was the way I look wearing a hoodie, it’s cold in Melbourne tho and can’t understand why I was turned away, it really ruins the experience for a long term client 😭

Just had the best experience at this store! Christine has been following up with me via text on the availability of some items, she is really knowledgeable and I can’t stress enough how much she did care making us feel welcome. As an alternative client (coloured hair, urban fashion lover), I haven’t felt so accepted in many places unfortunately, and I can’t stress enough how amazing the customer service is at this particular Prada store. Thanks to the whole team for making high end fashion a little bit more diverse and inclusive!

Always skipping stops when I'm waving my arms like a maniac for them to stop, literally RUNNING to the tram stop because they're 5-10 minutes early, completely ignoring me when I request a stop while onboard Why do you bother having a scheduled if you never follow it?

Love the trams! So why do only the inner city trams have stop information. You are wrong! Tourists do not just stay in the inner city! In my time here I have travelled far into suburbs and don't appreciate having to stress out because you're too cheap to give us a proper display!

Absolutely appalled by the behaviour of a tram driver on Route 58, tram #2106, around 4:49pm on Sunday 6th April on Toorak Road West. As someone new to Melbourne, I wasn’t aware of the road rule requiring drivers to stop behind trams that pull up in the middle of the road to let passengers on or off. I was driving through slowly, not realising I needed to stop—but instead of managing the situation professionally, the tram driver got out, began shouting aggressively, and accused me of trying to kill passengers. He then hit the bonnet of my car with a metal pole, and as I drove off, continued to strike the side of my car. This kind of aggressive and threatening behaviour from a public transport professional is completely unacceptable. While I now understand the road rule and will follow it going forward, the driver’s violent and abusive response was far beyond reasonable. Deeply disappointed and shaken by the experience. I truly hope Yarra Trams addresses this properly.

Deeply disappointing service. No one answers the phones, and the lack of care shown by some drivers is unacceptable. I witnessed an elderly woman running for a tram that was stopped and taking on passengers. The driver clearly saw her but chose to drive off rather than wait a few extra seconds. The tram wasn’t holding up any traffic as it was on a dedicated tram route. It shouldn’t matter who it is — if someone is running to catch a tram, drivers should wait until they’re safely on board. This level of disregard for passengers is incredibly disappointing and reflects poorly on Yarra Trams and Australia.

Was waiting for an hour at stop 60 today until the van pulled up and the passenger side large lady began yelling profanities at us for waiting, saying there was an accident and the whole route 86 was shut down. She lied. Only a few stops were shut and literally the next stop at 61 on had trams running.

Yarra Trams/City of Melbourne should really consider how and when they do their maintenance activities at night time. It’s 1:30am midnight and they are conducting maintenance activities at the tram stop shelter roofs that’s so freaking loud. When I mean loud it is effin loud. People who work day hours unlike the maintenance crew are suffering to sleep. I do understand that most PM (preventative maintenance) are conducted during the night time once the tram services are stopped, however this was extremely loud. Either Yarra trams or city of Melbourne should come up with solutions to atleast notify the building managements so tenants are prepared to ruin their night. Thanks for spoiling my sleep.

Went in on a whim because a tour was picking us up outside of the museum and it was fantastic! Never would have expected it. A whole kids play area too! Absolutely wonderful. Great throwbacks as well. Definitely worth a visit, also cool interactive displays like seeing what it's like immigrating.

I honestly felt like I’d stepped right back into my childhood 🧡 Jumping on the giant fluffy bunny was the best part (I could’ve happily napped there all day!). Another favourite was Video Land – pure nostalgia stacked on every shelf. 🎬✨ It instantly took me back to the 90s… Friday night trips to Blockbuster, searching for new releases and hoping they weren’t all rented out.

An overlooked gem that’s worth visiting for locals and tourists alike. The Joy exhibition is nearly done but we loved it. The rest of the museum is really interesting and well done.

I visited the Immigration Museum on a Saturday in September 2025. Coincidentally, it was the same day as immigration protests outside which ironically made the museum itself pretty quiet. The museum is right in the city and super easy to get to, with plenty of trams out the front and Flinders Street as well as Southern Cross Station just a short walk away. The building itself is a large, old heritage building with clear signage, accessible entry, and beautiful traditional architecture that really sets the vibe as you step inside. Entry is free for concession card holders and reasonably priced for adults. I walked in and with no wait, got my ticket from one of the friendly staff. On the ground floor there’s a cosy reading room, including a kids’ section, plus an outdoor patio and a peaceful courtyard. They are the perfect spots to pause and soak in the atmosphere. Even the bathrooms here impressed me! They were spotless, modern, and filled with natural light. A huge contrast from the immersive theming of the exhibits but a really nice touch. Level one holds the permanent Immigration Museum exhibition, which is packed with interactive displays for both kids and adults. It explores the journey of immigration throughout history while also acknowledging how Indigenous owners were neglected in that process. There’s a gorgeous ballroom full of history and more exhibits that cover the 1900s, the impact of war, and how shifting ideologies shaped migration policies. Often with devastating consequences for individuals and families which is covered really well. On level two I was lucky enough to catch the temporary Joy exhibition, which was incredible. The foyer had a wall where visitors could write and share their own sparks of joy, and the exhibition itself was a series of immersive, artistic rooms interpreting joy in all kinds of ways. Highlights for me were the giant bunny room and the recreated Video Ezy shop filled with old VHS tapes. It was nostalgic, interactive, and honestly just so fun to explore. That level also continues the immigration story with personal accounts and reflections, connecting the past to modern immigration experiences and challenging how we see and treat people today. It was moving, thought provoking, and beautifully presented. The staff were warm and welcoming, the whole space felt inclusive and engaging, and I honestly loved my time here. If you want to better understand Australia’s immigration story, this is the perfect place to spend an afternoon. And if you get the chance, don’t miss the Joy exhibit before it finishes, it’s creative and super nostalgic.

What a wonderful place to visit. My parents were immigrants to Australia in the 50s and a lot of the photos held special meaning to me. You could easily spend over half a day reading all the information that is held here.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The museum has a mixture of videos, displays, text, and interactive exhibits so it can appeal to different ages and preferences. Also has an exhibition space with interactive artworks which currently includes a replica video rental store. The museum has elevators and ramps for accessibility.

We tried some food and drinks from the café; although the prices were a bit expensive, we really enjoyed the mocktails, which were refreshing and tasty. If you’re visiting Melbourne, this is a must-see attraction — especially for first-time visitors who want to see the city from above. A short visit can give you a great glimpse of the entire city. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for both kids and adults.

My 1st stop in Melbourne was here! I mean there is no other place with these views. Definitely a must for sunset, or just night views. You can get drinks and snacks too.

Very good value if you buy the whole package online. The 3D simulator is very good and the views from the top excellent.. and there's the highest bar in Australia at the top.

I wouldn't recommend to get the edge ticket as you can see the view just before it without paying anything. I definitely recommend theater experience! Worth every penny!

It has been years since I was last at the Shrine and I cannot remember it looking so well kept and iconic. This area is such a wonderful part of Melbourne to walk around and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for Australia. The trees around the Shrine are dedicated to various Battalions and units throughout the ADF history. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the maintenance of one of Australia's most sacred areas.

A beautiful and peaceful place that I often visit. The architecture is impressive, and the view from the top gives a great look over the Melbourne skyline. The lush gardens around it add to the serene atmosphere. It’s a war memorial built to honour all Australians who have served and continue to serve in wars and peacekeeping missions. There’s also a museum inside with interesting displays and personal stories. It’s a place where you could sit for hours, switch off, and reflect. Definitely worth a visit.

I were surprised there is no charge for visiting Shrine of Remembrance. Donations are accepted. The place is truly grand and beautiful, absolutely magnificent. If you visit Melbourne, this is definitely a must-see. Underneath the structure, there’s a museum that you can visit for free.

The NGV is definitely a must-visit when you’re in Melbourne. The variety of art on display is incredible — from classic works to contemporary installations, Indigenous pieces, and international exhibitions. Every room offers something unique, and you can easily spend hours exploring without getting bored. What I loved most was how thoughtfully everything was curated. The exhibitions had a clear flow, the descriptions were informative, and the overall vibe was calm and inspiring. The gallery space itself is also stunning — spacious, clean, and easy to access by public transport. That said, it can get very crowded during major exhibitions. Some parts felt rushed or hard to fully enjoy because of the number of people. Also, the layout can be a bit confusing at times, especially when transitioning between different sections or locations. A few visitors seemed frustrated by early room closures or long queues for ticketed exhibits. Still, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. NGV offers a rich cultural experience and is a gem for both locals and tourists. Just try to visit on a weekday or earlier in the day to avoid the peak rush!

I’ve been a few times before as a local, but this visit stood out because I had the chance to really explore more of what the gallery offers. It’s just a short walk or tram ride from Flinders Street Station if you’re coming by PTV, or plenty of paid parking is available nearby if you’re driving. The building itself is hard to miss, with its large size, striking fountain and man made pond out the front, and of course the iconic water wall at the entrance. Entry is free unless you choose to see one of the rotating paid exhibitions. This time, we skipped the ticketed exhibit and wandered through the many free galleries instead. On the ground floor, there’s a stunning foyer space filled with sculptures and the famous room with the colourful stained glass ceiling, which always feels magical to walk under. From there, you can step outside into the sculpture garden and pond area, which is another highlight. Getting upstairs is easy with both escalators and accessible options. The galleries are currently arranged by region, and it was fascinating to walk through each one and see the differences and similarities across cultures. I especially loved the Japanese and Chinese galleries, the detail and richness of the traditional pieces were incredible. Even though it was busy, the space felt open enough for everyone to explore at their own pace. There were toilets on every level, information points, and staff around to help if you needed directions. The building itself is so large that it almost felt like a maze at times but getting “lost” just meant stumbling upon more artwork to enjoy. We didn’t even manage to get through everything before closing, which only gives me another reason to come back. Everything felt well looked after, and the whole gallery had such a calm, inspiring vibe. I’d absolutely recommend visiting the NGV if you’re in Melbourne and looking for something to do in the CBD. It’s packed with history, culture, and beauty, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again.

After Six years，I visited here again. There were many tourists and many interesting exhibitions, which were really amazing. After visiting the exhibition, you can also have a cup of coffee or some afternoon tea here, buy some art souvenirs, and there are many books worth reading.

Visited The Block Arcade early in the morning, quiet and easy to explore. Beautiful heritage building with ornate mosaic floors, glass roof, and boutique shops. Fun fact: it was opened in 1893 and is one of Melbourne’s most iconic historic shopping arcades.

Flinders Street station. Over the years I've seen a few impressive improvement changes. The organisation of signs is super helpful. Within seconds you can figure out where to catch the right train, making your travel experience enjoyable.

We visited this iconic landmark in Melbourne. The architecture is classic and a nice place for photos. However, inside the station is all business and we could not get in without a train ticket. There are some food stalls and cafes just along the side of the train station.

Huge station with friendly staff and a lot of shops. I visited this station on Australia Day. There was a big crowd in front of the station but the police and security staff kept everything in order. This is historically building. It worths to visit even if you don’t use train. There is beautiful cathedral in front of the station. Good place to visit too.

It is a big shopping centre in the city. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants. The glass dome with the old shot tower inside is nice to see. You can get there by train or tram, but it can be busy. It is a good place to shop, eat, and spend time.

Visited Melbourne Central and loved the energy of the place. It’s more than just a shopping centre — it feels like the heart of the city, filled with cafés, restaurants, fashion stores, and small boutiques all under one roof. The mix of modern design and the historic Coop’s Shot Tower inside gives it a unique Melbourne character. The food court has great options, from quick bites to quality coffee, and the layout makes it easy to explore. It’s also well-connected, sitting right above the train station and close to trams, so it’s super convenient for locals and visitors alike. There’s always something happening — live music, pop-up shops, or art installations — which makes every visit feel a little different. A perfect spot to shop, eat, or just experience Melbourne’s vibrant city life.

Major shops, eateries in food court and restaurants, all in one place. Most shops open till 6pm. Do check the Lead shot tower/museum which gives a historic preview of the place. Well connected, tram on the outside, and train station at the basement.

The Coops Shot Tower was built in 1888 and used to make lead shot (small round bullets for firearms) by dropping molten lead from the top so it could form perfect spheres as it fell. It’s one of only a few surviving shot towers in Australia. When the Melbourne Central Shopping Centre was built in the early 1990s, instead of demolishing it, the developers preserved the tower and enclosed it under the large glass cone dome, now one of Melbourne’s most recognisable architectural features.

Went to the market for a look very interesting morning. Worth a visit if you’re interested in that kind of thing. Got some cheap joggers. Plenty to see and buy. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies at reasonable prices. Area was clean and under cover.

I just came out of Melbourne Central. Its sucha vibrant and plave full of life. The simplicity in all over makes it much easier to locate what you want. The stores have such nice workwers, that it makes me want to stay there. Th3 food ajd drimks vaey from simple brekkie all the way to 5 star dishes. Overall i think its a must visit place. Its full if thrilling experiences and kind people.

This is a arts & culture plaza situated across from street from St. Paul's Cathedral and the historic Flinders Station at the intersection of Flinders and Swanston Streets in the CBD. It makes use of 3.2 hectares of space and includes several notable venues for art and cultural events and performances along with museums, galleries and restaurants. You can learn more about current and upcoming events on the Fed Square website. There are a handful of modern buildings with appealing architectural design on the square, making this an interesting place to browse and spend time even if not visiting to attend events. For this purpose you can pass by and spend a few minutes just before crossing Princes Bridge and the Yarra River to spend time at the Gardens or South Bank attractions to the south.

We visited this museum, it was very close to our accommodation.. it’s free to enter however they do have a few exhibits that you have to pay $18 to visit but we did not.. this is a museum that centres on art , some done by indigenous people and their culture .. others done with recycled material, and others from famous people like James Brown + many more .. you can take pictures as well .. there is a gift store and bathrooms on every level .. there are escalators and elevators…

Very wonderful plaza place. This is a nice place to meet up at, as there are many places to sit and talk about whatever is happening. This place is right opposite Flinders street railway station, which is good, i guess. This place holds many different events and shows, and at Christmas time, has some amazing Christmas decorations, like a giant Christmas tree, and more. Very nice.

Crowd during weekends, less people on weekdays, however, it’s indeed many restaurants & cafe, shopping malls & food courts, easily to spend hours to walk through & choose your favorite restaurant & cafe.

We had a good time — there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots of sweet shops like ice cream and drink stores. However, the area does have a strong smell of urine coming from the nearby alley.

My favorite Chinatown so far — full of character, culture, and little surprises around every corner. Honestly, I love it so much more than the one in New York. It feels more authentic, more alive. Whether you’re here for the food, the atmosphere, or just to wander — you won’t be disappointed. A must-visit every time I’m in Melbourne.

Visited State Library Victoria, a stunning blend of history and knowledge in the heart of Melbourne. The domed La Trobe Reading Room is breathtaking, and the historic architecture combined with modern galleries makes it a perfect spot to explore or enjoy some quiet time. Fun fact: it’s Australia’s oldest public library, established in 1854.

We made a special trip to this library, which is reputed to be the most beautiful. Sorry, but I didn’t borrow a single book, as I came purely to see this stunning architecture. Looking up at the double-height space, you can feel a sense of spacious, pressure-free openness. Many tourists kept taking photos, even as closing time approached. The staff repeatedly reminded everyone that it was time to leave, yet many were still reluctant to go. This alone speaks volumes about the charm of this place. Perhaps it’s not that no one was borrowing books, but the simple, substantial, and grand spatial beauty is truly unforgettable.

Such a good place to visit and hang out. Full of students doing their assignments as well as tourists checking their collections, but still nice and quiet. Learn more about Ned Kelly here. They also have his real armor on display. My wife use one of their library room to have zoom meeting. You can do this for free by making an appointment.

When we were in Melbourne, we visited State Library Victoria, one of the oldest and most beautiful libraries in the world. The La Trobe Reading Room with its white dome ceiling is absolutely magnificent — peaceful, bright, and full of charm. Many tourists go up to Level 5 and 6 for the best photo spots overlooking the dome. Free entry, open to everyone — definitely a must-visit when you’re in Melbourne!

Honestly so impressive. Loved the exhibition spaces, could wander for hours. Note there was wait time to take the lifts up/down to look down at the upper levels of the dome as there is no option to take stairs, so this does get crowded. Might be better on a weekday.

Melbourne city library is the iconic site I feel the most impressed about the city. Full of cultures, paintings, artworks and writing works here. I had the most relaxed and enjoyed moments here on the weekend. Perfect.

This is such a great place! There are lots of planes you can explore and experience, which aviation enthusiasts will love. You can also see some really good planes practicing nearby. Kids enjoy it so much — and children under five get in for free! There’s a DFO close by, and it’s not far from the beach either. Amazing spot!

Such an amazing place. Great for kids and big kids 😜 my husband loved sitting in some of the planes himself. It's well maintained and so munch information about the planes and local airforce and defence personnel. Highly recommend coming here.

It’s not a huge place, but the entry ticket is worth every penny. Despite its size, they managed to fit as many displays as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the planes, and having a seat in a fighter jet was an amazing experience. It’s definitely worth visiting and a must-see place.

My son and I enjoyed ourselves here. The best part is getting into the old plans to get a sense of how older pilots operate. The analog dials and switch gears is an eye opener.

It’s not a big museum but they have tried their best to put everything in, from military to commercial jet. A place where aviation lovers must visit, not crowded and can even sit on those jet. We had a fun time there.

So many things to explore! They have done an amazing job keeping with the original design/rustic feel of the planes but made them accessible and mostly safe for children and young people. Older people would enjoy the history information available in the shed, whereas the outside space seemed more kid friendly. My son got a little scared inside the dark aeroplanes and shed so probably best for ages 3+ years. There is one plane that you can enter that has seats and seatbelts which would be awesome to take your child there to practice if you have a flight coming up that they are anxious for! One staff member was quite firm with a small bunch of teenagers that I didn't feel were doing anything wrong, I think she was worried as they were unsupervised and there are some areas that need careful supervision such as going up very steep ladders/stairs. So probably best to go if you have a small adult to child ratio.

Loved it here, so much more than we expected. Indoor and outdoor displays, lots of information about many of the aviators. The little shop is also really good. Great for all ages.

It's an interesting place with a lot of history. The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. The actress/guide on the night in particular was very good. The Ghosts! What ghosts? Tour wasn't what you'd call scary in any way but it was very interesting.

Highly recommend add on just $5 dollars for watch house experience and you can see more old gaol not just the experience itself! The staff there are all super friendly. I missed the watch house experience for the first time so they let me go at another day just for it and I didn’t have to buy the ticket again! (The last time is at 15:45) Had a really great time there✨

My partner and I attended the 'Ghosts? What Ghosts?' guided tour, lead by a great storyteller Janette. I loved the experience and stories told, as well as the images we saw along the way. Loved being guided in the dark, added to the atmosphere. Overrall very very happy with our experience, loved it!

It was my first time attending a Halloween event, and it was a lot of fun. It would be even better if there were more interactive elements and little surprises in the decorations.

My go-to place for branded items at great prices. This is my favourite spot whenever I’m looking for branded products at reasonable prices. There’s plenty of parking available, although you might need to wait a bit for a free spot. But considering the parking is free, that’s completely fair.

A bit like sealife we were underwhelmed. Im not sure Melbourne Zoo lives up to its expectations of a world class Zoo. It had so much potential. Now we are spoilt!! San Diego Zoo for example, and even Singapore. Personally I preferred Perth Zoo. I think the big thing for us was what appeared to be the lack of animals. Yes I know they could be sleeping but it felt like there was mostly only one of everything and you had buckleys chance seeing it. Funny enough you actually go to a zoo to see animals. Some of the enclosures felt small and not really good enough. There were also no shows like most other zoos, normally a daily programme. Also a lot of sections were closed either for a private function (not acceptable) or i don't know what. As with every entertainment event Food and Beverages are always a rip off but the quality, variety and costs here were terrible, again compared to other zoos. To be totally honest for the cost it's not really worth it. Fantastic for tiny kids otherwise forget it.

Had a really great time at Melbourne Zoo, the weather was a little crazy so not all the animals were out but it was still okay. the meerkats are so adorable, they are definitely used to people. Few food places within the zoo out didn’t get the opportunity to eat at them. Found a couple of gift shops with a huge range of memorabilia. You get to walk inside a cage with lemurs in it which was really cool. zoo is open from 9am onwards. I suggest bringing an umbrella because the ones in the gift shop are $40. There is also a beautiful Japanese garden and a koi fish pond. Great function rooms.

we spent 3 hours here (skipped a handful of exhibits). great zoo to visit. super easy to navigate, great variety of animals. animals look well taken care of, with a lot of thought and effort put into their habitats and enrichment. lots of education for visitors. appreciate all the conservation efforts and information as well. loved this zoo and highly recommend it.

Melbourne Zoo is an amazing place to spend a day. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the habitats feel natural and spacious, giving you the sense that the animals are truly cared for. Don't expect to see all the animals. Some of them are sleeping or just hiding from the public. Not all of us like cameras and lots of attention. Hahaha 😁 There’s a fantastic variety of wildlife — from lions and gorillas to playful lemurs and the always-fascinating butterfly house. It’s also very family-friendly, with plenty of activities and areas for kids to learn and explore.

We had a fantastic day out! The zoo was huge and had so many animals to see. The food was yummy and prices were super affordable. Only bummer was the butterfly garden was closed when we visited. Would definitely come back, there's just so much to see and enjoy!

Had a wonderful visit to the zoo to see the new baby giraffe. We are members and love visiting the zoo as a family. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the butterfly house but was disappointed at the Asian tourists trying to touch the butterflies. There really needs to be an attendant in the butterfly house the whole time because even after pointing to signs not to touch these people were touching. Made my heart sad for the little butterflies.

visited the Melbourne Zoo on a Friday and was genuinely impressed. It’s hands down one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. The variety of animals is excellent, and what really stood out to me was the thoughtful, intelligent design of the enclosures. They allow you to get remarkably close to the animals — much closer than in many other zoos — without ever compromising the animals’ comfort or safety. While the ticket price is on the higher side, I found it absolutely worth it once I was inside. You can really tell that a lot of care and effort goes into making this place special — both for visitors and for the animals. Highly recommended!

Visiting the Melbourne Cricket Ground was truly a memorable experience. Visited the MCG for the AC/DC concert, and it was an unforgettable experience! The energy, the sound quality, and the atmosphere were absolutely electric. The stadium was well-organised, easy to navigate, and the vibe was just incredible. A perfect venue for a legendary show! ⚡🎸

My daughter and I, visiting from England, had a great time on the tour of the MCG. Expertly guided by club member Anne, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience on the eve of the AFL Grand Final. As we anticipated, the changing rooms and Long Room were out of bounds so close to the big event, but these minor disappointments were soon forgotten as the rest of the tour was so informative and inspiring. Should you have the opportunity to also visit the adjoining museum you must do so, as this is a phenomenal experience. Many thanks to Bill, the very helpful volunteer who entertained me here. A real highlight of our trip to the city.

This is the second largest cricket ground. We were welcome to visit the cricket ground. Each and everything of the auditorium was clearly presented to us. We saw the cricketers landing area , their changing rooms , Physio therapy rooms , resting rooms . The ground was being maintained. We also saw the place where the speakers sit , the management sitting area cafeteria and so on . The best part is the museum. Very informative. Must visit whole you are at Australia don’t miss it.

Fantastic venue for AC DC's return to Melbourne in many years. Staff onsite were great to help and answer questions. Sure it's a blast for a match there as well!

Purchased a Tour and Australian Sports Museum Ticket. Best buy! Tour was fantastic and the museum has been well set out. Highly recommend both but if you're not a museum fan at least do the MCG Tour.

Stunning Neo-Gothic Cathedral — Best to Visit on Weekdays St. Patrick’s Cathedral is absolutely beautiful. The moment you see it, the building has such an impressive and majestic presence. Inside, the stained-glass windows and the architecture are stunning — every detail makes you stop and look around. I loved the peaceful atmosphere, it’s a place where you can take a break from the busy city and just enjoy the silence. I recommend going during the week because it’s much calmer and you can really appreciate everything without the crowds of visitors on weekends. Definitely one of those spots in Melbourne you shouldn’t miss.

This is such a wonderful building in Melbourne! Ancient and Gothic looking from the outside and then you go inside and it is an area of peace and sanctity. There is so much history and some beautiful sculptures in and around the Cathedral. The stain glass windows and serenity makes this Cathedral particularly reflective. Thank you to all the staff who ensure the building/gardens are so well kept and maintained. For anybody who is in Melbourne, it is one of the gems.

One of the most stunning landmarks in Melbourne. The cathedral is built in the Decorated Gothic style architecture. The inside is just as peaceful and grand as the outside. Whether you’re religious or not, the calmness and beauty of the space offer a quiet moment of reflection. It’s free to enter, and not too crowded on weekdays. If you go around golden hour (late afternoon), the sunlight through the stained glass is truly breathtaking.

One of the most beautiful and breathtaking cathedrals we have been to. The architecture, statues, stain glass, displays, etc are moving. If you go on a partly cloudy day with the sun shining intermittently, you’ll get a special visual treat. More importantly than all of that is the peace and sense of holiness. Also check out the gift shop. I wish we had gotten the name of the gentleman working there. He was so kind, helpful, and friendly. We were so blessed to talk to him:)

Nice cathedral, worth having a look while there's no mass going on, as entry is free of charge. Despite being a catholic church, it doesn't feel oppressive, it's not full of gold and marble either. But it has its classic beauty nevertheless.

Another lovely church with a detailed exterior. Beautiful gardens and quiet when I went in the evening. We were allowed to be inside for a while before the security closed the church to visitors.

Melbourne Museum is an absolute gem! We visited after lunch with my son, and even in just a few hours, we had an incredible time. This is a place where kids (and adults!) can learn so much in a fun and engaging way — you could easily spend a full day exploring. The dinosaur exhibition was a highlight for us, packed with fascinating displays and information that really capture children’s curiosity. We also loved the insect area, which was both educational and surprisingly fun to explore. Everything is well-presented, interactive, and perfect for sparking young minds. Adults tickets are $15, and kids go free, making it fantastic value for families. I recommend booking online to avoid the queues. We’ll definitely be back for a full-day visit next time!

An awesome experience! The Star Wars Lego exhibition was super easy to access and really simple to navigate. There are plenty of activities throughout, for both kids and adult fans. It’s a great outing for families as well as die-hard Star Wars and LEGO fans. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking it out!

Pretty cool place tbh. The Melbourne Museum is huge — like, you could easily get lost in there. Loved the dinosaur section and the First Peoples exhibit, super interesting and well done. There’s also a kids area that looked fun even if you’re not a kid lol. Some parts felt a bit dated though, and a few displays could use more interactive stuff or better lighting. But overall, it’s a chill spot to spend a few hours and learn a bunch of random cool things. Would def recommend if you’ve got some free time in Melbourne.

I took my granddaughter to the Halloween at the Museum on the afternoon of Oct31st. We came a little early so we had to wait to enter. It was such an exciting event for my granddaughter…and for me. Kids in costume as well as the adults. The activities for the kids were great and we enjoyed looking at the gallery in the dark. It was fantastic. Parking in the basement was handy. Staff were friendly but not quite knowledgeable of the wheres and whats that night. Still, I will recommend this museum and this particular event. Its a must see and must attend!

We had the best experience at the museum. We went there when there was the Lego Exhibition on Star Wars - the creation were insanely good! There was also a rainforest in the museum - we went in to have a look. We saw the T-Rex show at the iMax theatre too. We had so, so much fun. Absolutely recommend a visit - more than worth the day and money.

This review is only about current special exhibition: Treasures of the Viking Age -The Galloway Hoard. The Galloway Hoard discovered in 2014 had 100 items, a small but very significant find. However, what is exhibited here is a lot less, museum blurb states about 90 pieces but it does look significantly less. The items are spread out in sections - entrances like Viking doorways & "padded" with massive graphics via video & static projections, albeit immersively displayed & easy to digest. The superstars of the Hoard - the small silver vessel with lid, the tiny crystal jar covered with elaborate goldwork & one more item - are all 3D-printed replicas. The reason - too fragile to be transported. I really liked the presentation & background on how the hoards were buried, the trade & marauding routes traversed by Viking warlords that enabled procurement of precious metals from far away lands along the Silk Route. But disingenuous inclusion of other discoveries is not necessary. I would rather hear more about why hoarding was so prevalent 1000 years ago or did I miss this bit? There is enough original intricate pieces that makes this exhibition worthwhile - artefacts like the Silver Cross with the fine spiral chain, intricate armbands (make great copies for olde fashion wrist watches!) & the elaborate brooches. But, but (& the reason for my 3 star review) - Where are the replicas of Vikings - both men & women, depicting how these wonderful ancient antiquities were adorned/worn? This would have really showcased the the wealth of the warlords & their treasured heirlooms..✨️✨️

Thankfully our visit wasn't as disastrous as some other people's. It's definitely a bit run down, but I actually love the vibe of the place, it just needs a deep clean and a bit of love, care and updating. The place was pretty empty and the popcorn wasn't fresh but we did go in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. The women's toilets were fine. The cinema seats, while obviously older, weren't super dirty or anything. I felt okay sitting in them. They were maybe a little bit cramped for anyone on the bigger side. The concession staff was friendly, and $13 for a drink, popcorn and a choc top felt reasonable compared to other cinemas. We enjoyed the photos and displays, Mum took a photo with knockoff-Bumblebee and Dad with the car. It all felt like a blast from the past, classic Hollywood style. I think if it was all fixed up it would be a pretty iconic spot.

We came to united cinemas in craigieburn but the recliners are such a bad conditions and very dirty as well. Some of the recliners button not working. And the thing is they did not even repair.

So basically, I went to watch a movie yesterday and I was extremely disappointed as the cinema was extremely bright during the film causing it to be very distracting to watch. I could barely see the film because it wasn’t dark enough in the actual cinema…. I had 4 teenagers behind me that were talking throughout the whole movie absolutely disrespectful and entitled. The staff were very unprofessional in the hall way carrying on & laughing. The whole entire cinema feels very dirty and gross. Some of the positives though were the‘s sound was very good and the recliners were comfortable However, they were dirty. Please save your money and just go to a Hoyt’s… Craigieburn really needs to get an upgraded cinema. Feral to say the least

The attendant gave me the wrong directions to the movie, so I ended up going to three different theaters. I was shocked by the filthy conditions - the first theater had a off musky smell, all the thearters had multiple broken seats, majority of the armrests were missing or broken, trash was everywhere, stains all over seats, even the recliner seats didn't work. It felt like a cinema in a third world country. The whole experience was gross. Who is managing the place? They should be fired immediately, the cinema has so much potential but its clearly been severely neglected for a long time.

This cinema has gone downhill ever since it opened up. Early on it was amazing, clean seats, toilets and the entire venue was spotless. It was until recently when one of the seats was broken where it didn't recline, the tables where you would put your snacks on were sticky and when I turned my phone flash on, all of the seats had stains on them. Given the movie had started it was too late to go out and try to change out seats so we sat down throughout the full movie. While I would like to give the cinema few more chances, given how many complaints I have heard about this cinema from others, I am not sure if I will ever go back. The staff were lovely, I am not sure why this place is run purely.

Been going to this cinema over a few years now- pros are that it’s relatively quiet and we’ve never had an issue going there at a preferred session time, they have all the desired snacks you want but they are pricier than what you should be paying. The staff are generally friendly and happy to help. The cons: the toilets are way too dark inside, many of the female cubicles have broken doors, and it’s hard to see in there! ( especially if your taking kids in there! ) Finally, the most recent observation is that sadly the general condition, and cleanliness/ tidiness of the cinema seating has declined. Lots of rubbish, spilt food/ drink stains.

I had a very disappointing experience at United Cinemas. The recliner seat was broken, the area was dirty, and it didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly. The only reason I’m giving 1 star out of 5 is because the popcorn was fresh and tasty. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance need serious improvement. Thank you
