Architectural Buildings
Chernivtsi National University is renowned for its five scientific schools and offers a diverse range of disciplines. The university's striking red-brick ensemble, designed by Czech architect Josef Hlavka, features colorful tiles adorning its pseudo-Byzantine, pseudo-Moorish, and pseudo-Hanseatic wings. This architectural masterpiece was completed in 1882 as the official residence for the Metropolitans of Bukovyna.
The best city attraction. Happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful architecture comprised of terracotta buildings and stone carvings. A must visit when in Chernivtsi.

The architecture is beautiful. If you're a tourist and want to explore the site, you'll need to join a guided tour. Tours depart every hour during the winter and every 30 minutes during the summer.

Probably the most impressive building in Chernivtsi. You must pay a tour visit, around 1.5 euro / person, totally worth it.

Beautiful architecture 🏫 great university ✨ entrance fee is 50 UAH just cash ✨ but you can’t see inside the university and the staff are rude and don’t speak English 😕

A very beautiful university which has an amazing architecture which reminds us of ancient time. I was so myself when I visited this university. It’s seriously an eye catching spot and definitely a tourist attraction. It was founded in 1875 when Chernivtsi (Czernowitz) was the capital of the Duchy of Bukovina, a Cisleithanian crown land of Austria-Hungary. Some of the reviews says that they had to pay to enter, but we were allowed to enter the university free of charge.

Armenian church
Sights & Landmarks
The Armenian Church in Chernivtsi, Ukraine is a striking red-brick structure with twin steeples and stained-glass windows. Designed by architect Josef Hlavka, it shares similarities with the nearby Chernivtsi National University. Built in the 19th century, this architectural masterpiece reflects the rich Armenian heritage in the region. Today, it serves as both a place of worship and an organ hall for concerts.
Always have the privilège to hear the organ while admiring the nice view inside by myself and attend concert because of my husband who always plays concert here.

Beautiful orthodox church in Chernvitsi, Ukraine . Sadly we couldn't enter inside because it was closed . I really enjoyed the red brick architecture all around . Peaceful. Right next to it there's a bench and a mini cafeteria
Jiboo P — Google review
Armenian Church (Church of Saints Peter and Paul) in Chernivtsi, now lovingly repurposed as an exquisite organ hall. Built in 1869–1875, this Armenian Catholic church was designed by the celebrated Czech architect Josef Hlavka, who also created the Chernivtsi Metropolitan Residence. It uniquely blends Romanesque, Gothic, Byzantine, and Ukrainian Baroque elements, with a Latin-cross layout and vibrant red-brick façade. After Soviet closure and years of neglect or storage use, the building was transferred in 1986 to the Chernivtsi Philharmonic as an organ music hall; a new Rieger-Kloss organ was installed in 1988. Since 1992, the hall has hosted classical and chamber music concerts, taking full advantage of the hall’s superb acoustic properties. This building is not just a religious landmark, it’s a cultural gem harmoniously balancing spirituality, artistry, and music. Whether you’re drawn by architecture, history, or live organ music, the Armenian Church in Chernivtsi offers an experience that’s both elevated and deeply resonant.

The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, located in Bukovina, is a significant Eastern Orthodox church with a rich history. Despite its relatively young age, completed in 1864, it stands as one of the largest churches in the region. Chernivtsi Town Hall, located near Kobylyanskoi Street, is a remarkable architectural gem in the city. Its 50-meter high clock tower features a trumpeter in traditional Bukovina attire playing 'Marichka' at noon. Visitors can arrange to ascend the tower through the Tourist Information office. The town hall's construction began in the 1820s and was completed in 1847 under the design of German architect Adolf Martin.
Attraction that catches visitors' eye from the mile away, standing majestically among the intricate elaborated settlements of hundreds years' history.

(Translated by Google) The history of Chernivtsi Town Hall began in the 1820s, when the idea to build a town hall in Chernivtsi appeared. The construction of the town hall lasted from 1843 to 1847 according to the project of the German architect Adolf Martin. He convinced the city authorities of the need to locate the town hall on the city's main square. The town hall was built on a solid foundation, the depth of which was about six meters. Initially, the building was used as a fire station. During its long history, the town hall has seen periods of domination by Austrian rulers, Russian officials and Romanian occupiers. To date, the town hall continues to serve its purpose and it houses the residence of the mayor and the Chernivtsi City Council.

The design, the interior is unbelievable. What a beautiful place. Very impressive. The design of the plates were appetizing, the taste of them needs some attention. Pizza was cold, risotto was rice cooked with cream with some frozen mushrooms. Please, no frozen products in this quality of a restaurant. Mushroom soup was flavorful but missed the excitement in taste what a customer would expect after seing the ambiance and presentation of the dish. Ribs were somewhat burned on the outside, lack of seasoning. Again, presentation was great, with missing the excitingness on the palate. Duck was half cooked, tasted good though. I know, that we don't overcook this sensitive protein, but having improper doneness changes the flavor, texture and the look of this beautiful dish. The place was not busy, so I don't understand the servers' inattentiveness. The owner definitely has all the rights to be proud of this amazingly beautiful place, but the managemet needs to focus a bit more on the product.

My mom and I went to Di Bocca last night, it was special evening for us. We came here for a glass of wine and a snack after a fabulous performance of Sukhishvili. First Impression. Right after we opened the door, a young proffecionally dressed waiter greeted us nicely and gave us a table we wanted (as it wasn’t busy time). He helped us with the coats and hand out menus. We felt cared at that time. The Restaurant Design is very elegant and beautiful. I felt like room temperature was pleasant and restaurant’s light was rightly dimmed. Expensive porcelain, glassware and silverware added richness to this place. Restaurant Service. Service we’ve got wasn’t WOW. Unfortunately, our server (the one I already mentioned) wasn’t educated and trained enough to do his job properly. At first, he insisted on helping us with wine even though I didn’t ask for it. I decided to give him a chance, opps WRONG. He asked me what kind of wine I like, I told him I like smooth and full body, like Syrah. I noticed he had no idea what I’m talking about ( I spoke with him in Ukrainian), then I asked about Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, negative again. He said they don’t have it but I could see in their wine list grapes I asked for. Wine We ended up with tasting two wines, Bordeaux which was VINEGAR, then we had one of their Georgian wines which didn’t have any flavor.I think they don’t store wine in right temperature or they keep open bottled too long. Food. We ordered only Caprese with pesto sauce, as we’re not hungry. It was fresh and nicely served, it tasted great and balanced. Besides, we got it pretty quick. Thank you Chef! Generally, this place is nice and has super location but needs improvement in customer service and alcohol storage. Be Cautious about bad wine quality if you buy by glasses. If I were you I would taste it first before buying otherwise you might end up with paying for Sour Liquid not a wine. Cheers

Awful service, we waited for the menu for like 5 minutes, then we waited for the waiter for like 10 minutes or more to take our order, and then we waited for the drinks for like 20 minutes. I had ordered non alcoholic mojito and salad, I got the salad but stil had to wait for the drink, nonsense. For the main course we waited more than an hour, poor service, very dissapointed. The main course was not woth the wait.
Tania T — Google review
Meats and starters were great. The pizza did not look very Italian but smells good, the lasagna was not even close... Dry, tastless and cold, for this price it's outrageous.
A H — Google review
Menus are in Russian, which is offensive here in western Ukraine. Ordered fresh juice, salad, and soup. Been here an hour now. Juice was great. Beet salad with feta was...special. Some thin sliced beets under a mound of *mostly* fresh lettuce (some brown ends and wilted pieces). The cheese was not feta I was hoping for. It was like a soft cream cheese. I set it aside but the dollop of mayonnaise in the lettuce was harder to avoid. Just got the cream of asparagus soup with scallops. Meh. I don't want to come off as too negative. Quality of items is ok. Friend's steak is tough and grainy and they are having a problem cutting potato slices (too tough). Atmosphere and food presentation is top notch, but I'm afraid I wouldn't come back. Wow. Got the bill. Not what was expected based on menu prices and heavy gratuity included. Feel like I got ripped off! Not worth complaining. Just get out!
Joe B — Google review
Very stylish, creative tasty food. The chef must be very talented. I would recommend beef tartar, foi gras, filet mignon. What could be better: tostes for tartar could be black and selfmade, not industrial. The choice of wines could be improved either. I would set steak sauce separately from the steak.

(Translated by Google) I do not recommend it! If you came to book a restaurant and they only offered you an extra place for a celebration because everything was almost full, but there were places for you for 15 people, then do not accept such an offer! Because once they came here, oh yes! They shoved us into a corner. And the whole other banquet with their musicians was directed in our direction! And the whole restaurant was 100 dB! And the music was LIKE FOR THE DEAF! We could not communicate normally. Even when we ate! And they told us that everything would be great! Just to make money! And it turned out the other way around! We said - we want a photo zone - and in response to us - No, because there must be other photo zones here! But we stayed together for a while, ate, shouted at each other in the ears, took pictures and left. (Original) Не рекомендую! Ми немогли нормально поспілкуватись. Даже коли їли! А нам наговорили що все буде чудово! Аби лише заробити! А вийшло навпаки! We got to this restaurant at 22:30 and it was very busy. Great testimony for the place. The food was excellent and service was good. The waitress was trying to help in English. We had also beer tasting (not best beer we had in city) but nice experience. The short shots of alcohol with different taste was good. Overall recommend the place. I had an excellent experience dining at this restaurant in Ukraine. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The borscht was rich and full of flavor, served with fresh bread, herbs, and cream on the side — a true taste of authentic Ukrainian cuisine. The meat dish was perfectly cooked, tender, and well-seasoned, paired with a creamy base and garnished with care. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great spot not only for a casual meal but also for business lunches or team gatherings. Ilona was professional and attentive, and the overall atmosphere felt cozy yet refined. I would highly recommend this place to all my colleagues — both for the quality of the food and the excellent value. Definitely a restaurant worth returning to!

It's a restaurant located in the old city center, on the pedestrian alley Kobiliansky, very cozy and clean. The service is very good, from the entrance you are welcomed to the table by a very kind young lady. The location is a combination of a select restaurant and pub. It is made up of 3 different areas, in the basement you can smoke sisha and serve alcoholic beverages at the bar, the central location where it looks like a mini brewery and the elegant area where you can enjoy a quiet meal overlooking the pedestrian alley. The waiting time is very reasonable, the appetizers come very quickly, as well as the soup. The main course is brought just in time and crowns a table in honor. You can eat traditional things from Ukraine and Bukovina such as: pork ears, bread with lard, 3-4 kinds of bacon and various other goodies. also you can serve plates of cheese assorted with 6 different types of drinks, specially created in that restaurant. They have aroma drink of walnuts, nettle, raspberries, cherries, berries, anise, etc. At the same time, the place also produces 5 different types of beer, which can be served initially in a 100 ml glass, and then order what you like in large size. The portions are very large, like where he writes that they can eat 3 people, they can eat 4-5 on saturates. There are waiters who speak english, the menu is also fully translated into english. The surprise was to be served by Anastasia, a super friendly girl who spoke Romanian perfectly and was very helpful when we didn't want to waste food and money. It was a great meal, for the second time at this restaurant and we will definitely be back soon.

Was a bit worried after reading some negative feedbacks, however, was very pleasantly surprised. Waiters very friendly and quickly, ordered dishes came after 10-15 minutes (approx 14:00 during week) and were very reasonably priced (all together 371 UAH f.schopski salad (very tasty),borsch(average),mititei(very tasty)and a cake(also tasty)together with a beer degustation set, a wheat 0,5 and a double espresso(average).Very nice and high-end-styled interieur. One big minus:quality of beer - its own brewing, but there is a)too much water or b)some problem with the fermentation as even 5 different kinds of beer lacked carbonate or aroma of hops. The wheat has potential, but might be approved. Honestly, ukraine has a lot of very tasty brewers (bierwelle,lisopylka...), but they still do not play in the first class. 9.2.2024 tasty lager and bogratch, very attentive staff👍

With its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it's perfect for gatherings with friends or a cozy dinner date. Guests rave about the delicious food offerings, which include not only sushi but also delightful desserts that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. While some have noted that the music can be a bit loud at times, many still appreciate the overall ambiance and service quality.

The food is delicious, but the site was better before, it's uncomfortable to use. I used to enjoy ordering takeout from your service because it was convenient and I appreciated the discount. However, now this option is only available at one location, which is very far from me. Unfortunately, it’s no longer practical for me to use your service, so I prefer to order delivery through other platforms that are more convenient.

We were with friends here in january 2020. the waiters are friendly, the dishes are also delicious, interior is also nice. that is, for the kitchen and service I can put 5. But (!!!) the music was playing very loud 😕 we couldn't communicate, we didn't hear each other, we didn't hear waiters..It was awful. That is why I put 4. We will definitely visit YOKI restaurant for the second time. If there will be loud music again - we will exclude this restaurant from our plans. Thanks 😉

Nice place. You can do order and pay by your phone, they have QR code’s for each tables, so when you finish your order Yoki will send all notification about status to Telegram or Facebook

One of the most delicious and clean restaurants in Chernivtsi, I liked their kitchen (all is fresh), also they have 5 stars hookah for good price, I recommend it for all.
