Nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Fasano, Zoosafari Fasanolandia spans an impressive 150 acres and offers a unique blend of wildlife encounters and thrilling amusement park rides. Families can embark on an exciting drive-through safari where they’ll encounter free-roaming animals like elephants, giraffes, lions, tigers, and bears. The experience continues with a tropical center showcasing fascinating reptiles such as snakes and alligators.
This was one of the most amazing and funny experiences in my entire life! This place is absolutely amazing and it is a great place for kids! The amusement park after the safari is absolutely amazing! For the safari I can highly recommend you to buy carrots, apples and cabbage in advance so that you have for more animals to feed. It is super funny and awesome that you can pet the zebras, giraffes and camels.

Amazing experience! We took the train from Bari and a bus from the train station + a 30 min walk from Fasano, as there was no shuttle bus during weekdays, but was totally worth it. We did not have a car, and were planning to take the bus, but we were given a spare car, which made the experience unforgettable.
Eugen O — Google review
Amazing experience! One literally feeds giraffes amd zebras out of the car window. Animals are so near that it cannot be compared with any other zoo. Bring 3-5 kg Carrots and buy peanuts for the monkeys! Totally worth it for any age.
Sergey P — Google review
The safari tour was great but the rest more la la.. Rest is the second part of walking tour including a funny train and many closed attractions. Also they forced me to pay extra parking 4 EUR although I paid a family ticket 140 EUR and they know the tour ends with parking and proceeding by foot once through the safari with the car🤣 . Pretty low and embarrassing 👎 But!! The camels are over cool. 🐫
Iztok Ž — Google review
Loved it! Safari from the car was definitely the best part! Bring carrots with you, animals will love it. It can get slow and crowded in the season, so have patience and enjoy the ride. Bring water with you cause it can take 2 hours to just go through the first part in car. You don’t have to buy tickets in advance, you can do it at the gate from your car when you arrive.
M R — Google review
Great time spent with the family in the Safari and the park! The park is huge, you can see the animals very close, pet them! The animals are well looked after, there is no bad smell at all! Their territory is large, it looks like the animals are happy in the park! I highly recommend it!
Egle V — Google review
Me and my family had a great time! Every penny was worth it :). The animals seemed happy and freely ran around the park. After our family went through the safari we left without knowing how much is left there,so make sure you don’t make the same mistake! But even if you do,you can come back the same day with the same tickets and you can make sure you don’t miss any more fun! 5 stars❤️
Sofija L — Google review
It's well managed and unique (for Europe) place to see lots of exotic animals considerably free in a wide space from the close but safe approach of your car. There are many areas that you are allowed to touch and feed the animals (please don't give them junk or human food, you can buy carrots, peanuts etc. specially for them at the entrance) and areas where you need to stay in your car at all times but it's all worth it. The animals looks like the staff take good care of them which is very important for me considering other similar places or zoo parks in Europe. It's really family/kids friendly place. In the pedestrian area you can find other animals and different zones like reptiles and insects, lake with birds and monkeys where you can have a paid boat ride, there is a rail car (zoo metro) which you can take from one zone to another, a special monkey zone which you can visit with a caged safari style truck and feed peanuts to the animals through a special holes. There is an amusement park in the pedestrian area where you can find food and drinks and have some fun before you take off. Overall a great place for kids and families, we had amazing time there.

It doesn’t matter how nice a place seems to be, if the people managing it are that greedy. No one can forbid someone else to drink water!!! It‘s a human right. This behavior diminishes the pleasure from going to a lido so much, that I don’t want to step another foot into such a place. But even forbidding to eat is not ok, when you have already paid for the umbrellas and beds.

Archeolido Egnazia Beach is a beautiful summer getaway! There are a couple of restaurant / bars nearby to serve guests and the staff is friendly and helpful to find you excellent chairs overlooking the beach. The sandy part of the beach is limited; however, it includes a natural pool and some Messapian tombs in the water. Groups of children with chaperones come to the beach in the morning and leave by noon, giving the beach a mix of family atmosphere and quiet relaxation.

Parco Rupestre Lama D'Antico is a captivating ancient medieval settlement located on the outskirts of Fasano. Divided into two sections, it offers a glimpse into life between the 10th and 14th centuries with cave dwellings, stables, and workshops alongside a small canal. The park also features centuries-old olive and carob trees, as well as a church set in tuff rock with frescoes restored using innovative projection methods.
I was really enchanted by this place. You can wander around almost alone(you can visit without anguide), taking your time to feel the past energy of the place and exploring the former village. Plenty of houses carved out from tufo rock, and the churches are fabulous! You have the long visit (almost 3h) and the short one (almost 1h) A good place for kids too (short visit). Super super friendly staff, very knowledgable!

(Translated by Google) It was a wonderful opportunity to visit this magical place. We grandparents, along with five children, strolled through the lama for a couple of hours. The children, extremely curious, explored the numerous caves and had a blast. We even met the mascot cat, who let everyone pet him. The place is truly remarkable, and imagining the lives of the people who once lived there was fascinating. We found carob trees and blackberries, and the youngest was thrilled to look for his favorite animals: insects. Marica was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this visit to everyone, especially families with children: it's a safe, interesting place, full of wonders to discover.

Nestled by the picturesque harbor, Osteria del Porto is a delightful culinary gem that specializes in regional fish, seafood, and pasta. The restaurant boasts a charming terrace where diners can soak in stunning views of the marina while savoring generous antipasti and expertly prepared dishes. Guests rave about the freshness of the seafood; highlights include the grilled octopus and polpo alla pignata, both celebrated for their exquisite flavors.
The covered portico was much appreciated on the windy night, we watched the sun set as our prosciutto and melon was served. My cavatelli with mixed seafood was so fresh I could taste the sea. My partner is not a huge seafood fan but his beef steak was tender and huge! The local cake filled with custard and cream was absolutely delicious. The veteran staff expertly hosted and served food as the tables filled twice over when we were there. There was a huge group inside that started singing as we left, everyone had a jolly time.

Cool place close to the water. Make sure to ask what they have that was caught that day. We had a fish i had never heard of or seen before as an appetizer. It was really good. Those aren't its actual eyes...I added pomegranate seeds.

The best food experience so far on our trip in Puglia !!! The Burrata and the grilled octopus can be recommended. Lovely service, we felt so welcome at this place. Thank you all at Osteria del Porto for making this lunch memorable!

Best fish restaurant in this Area I didn’t had any reservation and the restaurant was fully booked. But the waiter was so service minded to get a table for me. I eat some fresh oysters, gratinated mussels and fried fish and all was so very good and real fresh fish. To complete my diner a small dessert and I had some wine of the house and a double espresso. Only had to pay € 62,-!!!

We came here on the recommendation of our wonderful Trullo host Marilena – and it was a spot-on choice. Apparently, her entire family has been celebrating all their special occasions here for years, and now we understand why: The food is incredibly fresh – straight from the sea – and absolutely delicious, prepared with great care and passion. The atmosphere by the harbor in Savelletri is both relaxed and cosy, and the staff is warm and attentive. We also had a lovely interaction with the waiters, who shared stories about their culture, adding even more depth to the experience. I especially loved the slogan on their t-shirts which stands for “slowly slowly”. It perfectly captured the relaxed, joyful spirit of a holiday in Italy. After all, as the saying goes: “Take a vacation in Italy – it adds years to your life.” And this evening certainly did.

Ristorante Sapore di Sale in the South of Italy is highly regarded as an exceptional dining destination. With a focus on fresh and flavorful cuisine, it offers a must-try experience. This establishment provides an opportunity to savor authentic "crudo" paired with exquisite Puglia wines. The menu boasts a variety of delectable dishes such as tuna tartare, caprese salad, fried mussels, pasta with pistachios, and more.
We had a family and friends dinner here and the food was extremely tasty. The wine was to die for and the RICCI was very fresh. Nothing like fresh UNI from the Adriatic Sea. I strongly recommend this place. Go check it out. It won’t disappoint

The coconut prawn and guacamole starter was very, very delicious. Lasagne followed but was a little bland. Lovely atmosphere on the harbour of this beautiful fishing town.

Although the managers were welcoming our server was like the ice queen from the get go! Not sure why she treated us so coldly as we always treat servers with respect and warmth. When I asked to have my glass topped up as her pour was definitely below the norm she complained loudly and complained it meant opening a fresh bottle and stormed off. She continued to loudly complain in the kitchen area which was audible to all in the restaurant. Appalling way to treat a customer who was not being difficult or demanding. I’d never come back!
Francis K — Google review
My main dish was extremely delicious! 10 out of 10 would recommend the octopus! Only bringing it down to a 4 starts because I ordered a tiramisu for dessert and it was a supermarket bought one which even came in the packaging. Not bad, but would expect a home-made one or a better presentation.
Daniella B — Google review
Decent food and nice setting but our server was extremely rude. Shocking way to treat paying customers. Even more shocking that management let their staff behave that way.
Colin H — Google review
Food - don’t bother with the tagliolino. The prawns are from frozen and it’s not actually guincale - more a bacon lardon that was under cooked. This dish was extremely underwhelming. Got the assassina as well - this was probably the highlight of the experience - very good dish - would highlight more in the menu. Got a steamed sea bass - because it took two hours to get three dishes it was hard to rate as we were full by the time the sea bass came - overall seemed well cooked. Service - good service from the time we arrive to get a reservation, but that was about it after that we were there for two hours because it took our food forever to get, but we only saw our server about twice. There were more people working at restaurant than seated eating so we thought service should be excellent. The owner and the staff were eating inside as we waited for our food….if that isn’t telling enough I don’t know what is. Atmosphere- hard to tell with only 6 people in the restaurant

Da Renzina is a charming restaurant located by the water, offering breathtaking views and an exceptional seafood dining experience. Guests rave about the freshness of the crudo seafood, including oysters, black mussels, vongole, and other delectable sea creatures. The presentation of the dishes is impeccable, complemented by friendly and attentive service from the staff. Visitors appreciate the value for money and commend the extensive wine selection.
This ristorante was one of the best crudo sea food we ever been, the place is on the water, amazing views. The fish was the freshest crudo , from oysters to black mussels , vongole , other types of sea creatures, amazing .rizzi di mare All it needed was a fresh squeezed lemon on top. Excellent job on the presentation, waiters were friendly . I highly recommend this restaurant, I will go back.

This is an old-fashioned sea restaurant with a huge indoor dining area and a terrace. We booked our table, but there were not many guests on an August weekday. The waiter was very nice, although not really competent in wines. We managed to choose a good brand and we were very happy with our starters too. Unfortunately, we had to wait too long for two plates of risotto, which arrived at least 20 minutes after the other main course, so we ate in two turns. What’s more, we couldn’t finish any of these dishes due to the long wait after the starters. I think it’s a good place to try, though.

This is one of those Italian fables that you know can't be true. You know the 1 where you are served several dozen items over the course of 4 hours. Well it is true. Antipasto was 6 different kinds of fish dishes, pasta was risotto and shrimp, main was swordfish and we were smart enough to say no thanks to desserts.

The location is beautiful, although to fully enjoy the seaview the windows of the restaurant should be cleaned... we could not really see the sea. The service requires drastic improvements. The food is overpriced for what it offered. Our octopus was over salted and served cold though it was grilled, the potato puree was cold too and even though we asked for the dish to be warmed, it arrived luke warm after two tries of warming it...

We were driving by today and five of us stopped for lunch. The food was great, the view was great and the service was great. Tucked away in a small town between Fasano and Cisternino, Il Cortiletto is a charming family-owned restaurant that attracts locals and visitors alike. The menu features traditional regional dishes such as a generous antipasti selection, flavorful orecchiette con cimi de rapa, and a popular crispy chicken dish. Diners rave about the quality of the food and the reasonable prices.
We had an excellent dinner in a beautiful garden setting — peaceful, charming, and full of atmosphere. Every dish we tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and thoughtfully presented. What really stood out, beyond the food and ambiance, was the wine recommendation. We shared what kind of wines we usually enjoy, and the suggestion matched our taste perfectly. A truly memorable experience — highly recommended.

We got insanely lucky to eat at Il Cortiletto, especially without a reservation!! Everything was insanely awesome (I would not order the chicken though), from the starter taste to the last sip of primitivo wine. - mezze maniche with cauliflower & anchovies - ricotta gnocchi with crusco pepper breadcrumbs, bitter turnip greenss, & fried sweet olives - orrechiette with house meatballs, brasciole, and sauce (not pictured, i ate it too fast) -marinated Capocollo CBT (sous vide) with grape tomatoes, crispy red onion, and roasted cornaletti pepper cream [FREAKING INSANE!!! 15/10]

Tucked away in a quiet little corner, this trattoria feels warm and homey the moment you walk in. What really blew me away though was the food way better than you’d ever expect from such a modest spot. The kitchen turns out dishes that are both thoughtful and full of flavor, and you can really tell the whole team works together perfectly. There’s a kind of harmony between them that comes through on the plate. What I loved most is the creative twist in every dish, it’s not your usual, straightforward Pugliese cooking. If you want something a bit different from the classic seafood-focused menus around here, El Cortiletto is definitely worth checking out. You’ll leave pleasantly surprised and probably planning your next visit.

The dining experience at FronteMare was exceptional, with both the service and food being of high quality. The staff was friendly and informative, showcasing the daily catch and providing guidance on various cooking options for each fish. I opted for a delicious steamed white fish accompanied by two excellent primi dishes, all at an affordable price. A refreshing prosecco complemented the meal, which cost less than 25 per person when splitting an appetizer.
I had a fantastic dining experience at frontemare. The service, quality of food, and view from the roof terrace were exceptional. This has got to be the best restaurant in savelletri. If you're thinking about it, don't - just go to frontemare for a meal. You won't regret it!
Luke R — Google review
Went here for lunch, the location and atmosphere were great and staff were friendly. However, my grilled fish was almost too close to being raw, although still tasty, my friend’s grigliata mista was way overcooked and too salty. The “day’s special” pasta was very good, as well as the side dish of zucchini carpaccio.
Elizaveta B — Google review
We started to Osteria del Porte, only to find that they had no table available since we didn'thave a reservation. So our visit here was accidental. Street parking is available for €2 per hour, and there appears to be plenty of it. At the Fronte Mare, all tables were full, but they found a place for us on the roof. The seabreeze was a bit on the cool side, but the view was outstanding. Our server came within 10 minutes, took our order at 14:08 and delivered some of the food at 14:40 and the remaining at 14:50. As all European restaurants, dining is a hassle. Reservations are expected, even for tourists, and even for lunch. The food was warm, the presentation was nice, but the meal was less than stellar. We simply did not like the taste of anything. Might be a personal preference, but did not enjoy the food at all. Took a few bites and left the rest.

We came in before they were opened but they offered us to sit and have an apperativo while they finished opening. They were helpful with the menu, the food was great and the view on the patio was perfect. This place is a must if you’re visiting Savelletri.

We had lunch and both service and food was really good. They were very welcoming, showing us what was the daily catch also explaining how could each one of the fishes could be cooked. We needed up having a steamed white fish and two primi. Everything was cheap. We had a nice prosecco along with the lunch and ended up paying less than 25€ per person with a main and shared appetizer. Still regretting not having tried their famous Ricci/urchins as starters.
