The golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and mesmerizing sunsets make it an ideal place to unwind. The beach is well-maintained, with clean facilities and convenient amenities nearby. Nallikari Beach has something for everyone. It's a hidden oasis where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in nature's beauty.

This place never disappoints. It always has fresh air, beautiful sunset and tasty ice cream. If you love photography, there you can meet several photographers capturing the mesmerizing moments.

In winter the sea is frozen over. Many people walk, ice fish, cycle, ski, snowmobile. We even found an igloo. On the shore there is place to grill makkaraa. A restaurant is also nearby.

I felt like, I'm somewhere abroad or in the south of Finland. Nallikari has become a colorful, multicultural, and diverse beach place to visit, especially with small kids trying the new park.

This is an interesting museum with tons of hands on and interactive displays. There is also a 3D cinema. We visited on a weekday and the museum was virtually empty and we had the space to ourselves. The place is perfect for kids of all ages - the museum is fun and enjoyable, and a certain favorite with families. The café offers a decent selection of snacks and refreshments. There is also a small museum shop.

A bit like Heureka in Helsinki. But its a lot smaller and is more oriented for smaller children and families. It was quite cheap though: for students with a student card or certificate, you will get two tickets for the price of one. It was quite interesting and there is a tower you can climb that has awesome views to Oulu. I recommend this place for families with smaller children. It will take around 2 hours to go around it.

A great place to explore some inventions, find out how the things come into our lives. Also, there is a glass lift to enjoy Oulu town from above. On the last floor are games toys and other funny things to play with children or challenge each other.

Highly recommended place to visit for families. In Tietomaa there is interesting things for all age groups and most of those all also very educational. It is easy to spend whole day in this place.

There are some things that do not 100% function and there is some work to do, for example in the tower. 3D movie was worth it (now playing a movie about a dinosaur) For the rest worth visiting with kid(s)

Amazing place! If you are in the region, book a few hours of your day to visit. Prices are at highest around 10 (per adult). The estimate time the staff suggests for exploring the who center is 4 hours ... With a friend we took 6 hours (with a 30 minute 3D movie screening included). Great experience!

An interactive science museum in downtown Oulu. There are dozens of experiments and hands-on exhibits. It's great for kids, but older ones will have fun too. A special highlight is the museum's own 3D cinema with hourly screenings and a high tower from which you can look out over the city. The entrance fee is comparatively expensive, but you get a lot of different things for it.

I have been here several times from some ago, and the service is excellent. The food is good and quite creative. It is better to call them directly for reservation than email them. The atmospher is great and relaxed. Clean restrooms and wheelchair access. In general, the staff is nice and helpful.

We went there as part of a conference event in Oulu. I really enjoyed the space and food. Their salad selection as well as salmon and mashed potatoes were very good. They had both alcoholic and zero alcohol wines and beer, which was very convenient.

Took my boss and a colleague here for a fine dining experience as they do appreciate good food. A disaster. Three-course surprise menu. Well, a Monday. We waited. 30 minutes for the appetizers which was manageable. And then over an hour for the main that was cold. No crowd, plenty of waitressess and they served the food cold. Seriously. Might have been good warm. Did not want to make a scene with my boss around so we paid and left. Never again.

Great service. The food was good. Delicious starters and bread! The best of the night. The mains were ok. The veggie burger patty tasted very generic. My partnersaid his fish was ok, but nothing special. Generally a good place for dinner.

Cute place for coffee dates. Great environment and nice services. The bakery looks good and the coffee is cute too. Very pleasant experience and I think it’s perfect for a date. Also located in center Oulu, convenient for commute and easy to find. I like the decoration of the building.

Went there randomly on Wednesday evening for quick dinner. Nice ambience, friendly service. We took main courses from the ala carte menu. I appreciate that they slice the ingredients locally, we support local products. We ordered liver and pasta. Liver was grilled very well at the right time and the right temperature, not plus not minus, just perfect. All the side things were great except the “salad” like cabbage. Maybe next time the chef should get rid off that salad, and just focus on the liver itself, the sauce, and potatoes or pure. Pasta was great, I’m into pasta and I love mushroom. This pasta was probably the best I had in Oulu, one of the best I’ve tasted in Finland. It’s simple taste, and that’s where the greatness come from. Good portion too, happy tummy.

Amazing place at the city center. The staff is friendly and attentive, the service fast and good. Food quality is high, cake portion 🍰 is small for the price, omelette 🍳 fluffy. Pizza 🍕 is Napolitano style, super good. I recommend reserve a table if go for a dinner. Totally worth visiting 👍🏽

Had a private Karonkka dinner in the winecellar cabinet. Amazing atmosphere and elegant place. Food was great. The waiter serving us ( Norman ) was extremely professional, attentive and friendly.

Nice place with warm ambiance. Bit pricey but all the products are "home made" and fresh. Only minus comes from the breakfest menu, there's no porridge and meal size is small (but quality is great). Btw service where friendly :)

We liked the food, the ambiance and the service. We had a reservation for 8pm but when we went in at 17.30 to see whether we already could have a table, the lady showed great flexibility. Widely regarded as one of Oulu’s finest and most popular French restaurants, Alfred came highly recommended by locals—and rightly so. I made a reservation and visited in May, when seasonal ingredients were at their peak. For my main course, I chose a dish centred around white asparagus. Gently cooked and served with a delicate asparagus mousse, it was elegantly topped with salmon roe and fresh herbs. Beautifully presented, and just as delightful in flavour. Dessert was an affogato with rich caramel sauce and ice cream—a superb pairing. But what truly stood out was the house-baked bread and butter served alongside the meal. So good, I asked for seconds!

The food is really outstanding! Almost every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. One small disappointed is risotto was bit too salty but I really suggest the beef & Parmesan I was really impressed by the service at Alfred kitchen and bar. The staff members were very knowledgable about the food and provided fantastic suggestions. Truly excellent service! Would definitely will comeback !

This is the fine dining place to be in Oulu. The food is innovative, great ingredient combinations and it tastes great. It isn’t an extensive menu but there is more than one thing that you want to try. The menu changes often so that there always be new dishes coming. We had the cold cod and fennel, and the stracciatella and tomato as starters followed by the white fish. The rhubarb and meringue dessert had touches of green lemon grass and rhubarb ice cream, yum. The caramel sauce on the pear pancake was delicious. The portion size is not large but you are inform in advance. This is fine dining of course. The service was exceptional and they didn’t mind explaining everything in English to us. The staff took an interest in us and then explained each dish in detail when it was brought out. It is not cheap but well worth it for a special occasion.

Exceptionally good food and service, such a positive surprise. I feel that it is difficult for restaurants to serve quality throughout the entire service, however Alfred managed to exceed all of our expectations. Food was well prepared and of high quality with recognisable palate complimenting the season. Will definitely return and give my warmest recommendation!

Oulu waited a long time for a restaurant like this. Short, well planned menu that has excellent meat and vegetarian (also vegan) options, all dishes are equally cared and executed so it doesn't matter if you go for the steak or the risotto you will be satisfied. The wines were excellent, well selected, and the bar side is so good you could also spend a night digging the cocktails. The atmosphere is simply perfect for a nice date, a family dinner or a business meeting. Prices are perfectly reasonable when you think of the excellent quality of food and service you are receiving. If you are visiting Oulu this is a MUST VISIT restaurant hands down!

Very good location for the view but better quality chair would upgrade the place to be more value. Steak tastes okay but the beef is quiet tough that they don't know how to cook it well.

Beautiful place next to the sea. Landscape is gorgeous from the restaurant. The service is good, waitress is always taking care of the tables, food table is replenished constantly. A lot of salads and hot food: scrambled eggs, kermaperunat, makkara.

Best Launge Atmosphere place in Oulu. If you want fancy brunch or romantic dinner this is the best place in Oulu.it has lovely location on the most famous Nordic beach Nalikari and offers best vireety of salads and main course. Soop of the day are also available for symbolic price.

The brunch was good, as vegetarian they had good options, but for the price I got disappointed with the variety of bread, buns and cake. Only by the end of our brunch we could get small portions of a cake, no other pastries included, only Finnish pancakes.

Went there 22:30 on a wednesday, door and website says restaurant should be open until 23:00. Lights were on, worker was inside, all ways to get in were blocked by chain. Drove 20km to enjoy a hot chocolate with my wife and dog by the beach, ended up not getting anything but a cold walk on the beach.

The place and location is nice. Following the 70's style as it used to be in the old days. There are two separate functions, the cafe area which serves the beach customers and then the dining side which serves people coming for the food. The restaurant identifies itself as a more fine dining place but unfortunately is lacking behind with food and service. The people serving are friendly and there is nothing wrong there. The level of service is just not on level I was expecting. The food is ok but e.g. my mussels were served cold with way too less sauce. The beef was better, well cooked.

We had a delicious dinner with a small group at the atmospheric Sokeri-Jussi. The over a hundred year old log house is most beautiful inside and works great as a restaurant. I had the "Kievarin Pihvipannu", a combination of two steaks with country French fries and bearnaise sauce. The dish was very tasty and came in a reasonable time. The Chilean carmenere red wine went well with the food. My companion's lamb liver was also tasty. The service was a bit stiff at first, but improved towards the end. The price level is high compared to Oulu's general price leve.

We were visiting this place just after new years on the 4th of January, as we were heading out from Oulu back to Frankfurt. The food was not good at all, small portions, very salty and extremely expensive for the offered food. Especially the vegetarian food was not worth it and was really bad.

We are group of 8, me and my Finnish wife and 6 of my other Vietnamese friends. We back from Rovaniemi and call to book the table before. When we were there, the waitress didnt start to say hello to us first but we did it first and she just respone back. After we got a table, she speak finnish to my wife and didnt talk to us in english, until we said we didnt speak finnish well enough. She did serve us very slow service, slower the other group who came after us. During the dinner, she was not really nice to us and her attitude show on her face that made we feel that we are not welcome. After we finish i ask her to have bills for us separate, then she showed her attitude again to us by gave us the bill and put it on a table with angry face. After we paid, when we left, she didnt start to say thank you and goodbye us, just respone to us after we said thank you to them. So all in all, good food but very racist, unfriendly staff which destroyed our mood of the night, while we were waiting for a good fine-dining restaurant like this. So bad, i wont suggest and wont come back.
