As a catholic, I’m writing this review with great pleasure and joy. It was my first time in Lourdes and I felt so special and blessed. Please note there’s a candlelight procession happening at 9pm at night every day from April to October. Also there are several mass services in different churches in the premises. You can buy bottles from near by shops and fill holy water. There’s staff that help you with information and guiding you through. Have a pleasant pilgrimage Our Lady of Lourdes, Pray for us

If you are a devotee of the Mother of Jesus Mary, if you are desperate for healing, this place makes miracles. So many devotees from around the world would flock this Holy place. So many proven miracles of healing that science couldn't explain. A beautiful place for everyone to experience the love of Mother Mary expressed through feelings of hope and love for Jesus and his mother.

From the moment you enter the grounds, there is an overwhelming sense of peace, faith, and reverence. The atmosphere is filled with quiet devotion, where pilgrims from all over the world come to pray, reflect, and find healing. The Grotto of Massabielle, where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette, is incredibly serene — especially during the evening candlelight procession, a truly unforgettable experience of unity and prayer. The basilicas, chapels, and walkways are beautifully maintained, and everything radiates a feeling of hope and grace. Whether you visit for spiritual reasons or simply to experience its profound tranquility, Lourdes touches the heart in a very special way. A sacred destination that inspires faith and peace beyond words.

Visiting here for the first time was truly breathtaking. The sanctuary is grand, magnificent, and more beautiful than any place I have ever seen. If you visit, you will feel the same wonder and excitement that I felt.

Lovely day taking in the beauty of Lourdes and it's surroundings. Very quiet on a Monday as most places were shut, but we did manage to find one place selling gorgeous crepes.

Beautiful grounds. Inspiring architecture. It's like a religious Disneyland. Healing waters. Round the clock rosary. 25000 seat basilica.

It is good to visit in early November, when it is much less visitors. I stayed for 6 days and having a serene time and a profound spiritual experience.

Absolutely stunning experience! The Château Fort offers breathtaking views over Lourdes and the surrounding Pyrenees — a perfect blend of history and nature. The museum inside is rich with regional culture, artifacts, and beautifully preserved rooms. Everything is well-organized and easy to explore. A must-visit if you’re in the area — peaceful, inspiring, and unforgettable.

Such a beautiful castle and place where you can see the whole Lourdes city from a hill. Get the guide map so you can follow the trail. My favorite is to sit down at the garden where you can look at the city in peace.

This is a fantastic fort with an interesting history sitting on the mountain that flanks Lourdes. Access is either by a lift or you can take the stairs. Once there you can follow the guide pamphlet which takes you through all areas of this restored fort and gives you its history. In some of the rooms there are multilingual information sheets, which provide more detailed descriptions of the parts of the foot and its history. It is filled with interesting artifacts from the Pyrenees and the most stunning views across the city and towards the mountains. This alone is worth the price of admission, which is only eight euros for adults. A wonderful thing to do if you need to get away from the crowds across the river in the religious complex.

Really nice place, amazing views over the city, lots of shade and drinking water tap that you can put your dog under to cool down. Dog friendly Shade, even though lots outdoors, little places to sit and cool down, even little free postcards dotted round the castle

Castle Pyrenean is absolutely worth visiting. The castle itself is charming, but the real highlight is the panoramic view from the mountain top — stunning on a clear day, with sweeping landscapes all around. A perfect spot for photos and for taking in the beauty of the Pyrenees.

The tour of the fort was very well thought out. With different stations to explore it was a wonderful experience. Of course the views of Lourdes was another highlight. Do go check opening and closing times cos when I visited they closed at 1230. Think it might be for lunch.

Easy access to the fort, especially if you use the elevator. A lot of pyrenees history give yourself an hour if you want to do the whole tour.

A must go if you are in Lourdes. Exceptional views from the top (to be reached following a trail).

Extraordinary views. Amazing ride. Cafe on top. To get to the top you need to walk a bit in maze of trails. It is worth it. Would go there again.

Expansive views from the top which can be reached from a mountain cable car. The staff of the cable car were great though I can't say the same of the restaurant staff on the top.

The downhill mountain biking trails are great but even the easiest trail was hard. Definitely recommend to any somewhat experienced mountain bikers.

As soon as you get to Lourdes the air, the senses and everything comes alive. Unfortunately I went without faith but with the knowledge that it was one of our Lady's home. In hindsight it made all the difference in my reversion. Go, with or without faith, Our Mother will love you regardless and grant you graces accordingly.

The place where st Bernadette Soubirous is said to have seen the Lourdes apparitions is called the "grotto of Massabielle", which is the most famous place in the sanctuary. The Lourdes water flows from a spring located inside the cave. From 2014 to 2018, the surroundings of the grotto were modified to facilitate the passing of pilgrims through the various facilities around the grotto. A new esplanade was built on the banks, taps providing water from the spring were moved away from the grotto while new fountains for pilgrims were created, baths were renovated and a new bridge was built. Chapel of lights were built on the right bank for pilgrims to light candles.

My experience in Lourdes was nerve wrecking, after the immersion I felt the tingling sensation from my painful, tight left leg disappeared. I truly believe that miracles do happen.

The architecture is impressive and so is the decorations. However it's very busy and you will have to wait between services to take pictures on the inside. The whole atmosphere gives me a vibe of being the ultimate tourist trap. Something of religious importance, now a massive business venture.

A very spiritual and serene place of worship in a unique surroundings. The mosaic masonry and miniature tiles pictures depicting history of Christ are absolutely incredible to view and appreciate.

Amazing peaceful place. Give a full day so you can participate in the candlight procession. No entry fee.

I didn't know this famous place before. IT was in my Route to the sea. But IT IS an archtectional Highlight with old History. But even more interesting than the building are all the people coming to Here. And luckly they know the Details of this place, I guess. The place can be fully free visited. In The whole area reminds of holy places in Jerusalem or Turkey. I would recommend a normal weekday for a visit. I think at holy catholic days IT IS massivly crowded. I found IT crowded enough at this "normal" Friday😊.

I went during the night time, it would have been better if I went during the day time. Good thing about night time is you can find free parking. The Chapels were still open and services were taking place:)

Absolutely stunning pizza; I can't recommend it enough! Great service, lovely staff and beautiful space, we disnt have booking so the waiter placed us not in the main room. And the seperate small room on a side of the main room disnt have as great atmosphere, hence i marked the atmosphere to 3 not 5. We were alone which is not what you want when the other part of the restaurant is lively and its buzzing. Next time i will make sure to make a reservation!

The food is exceptionally delicious and there is a variety of pizza, pasta and meat to choose from. It is always packed with people so better to book a table.

Great place for lunch or dinner. Reservations highly recommended unless you come early, real early. Great pizzas.

I loved the ham board and my husband loved his lamb chops. Service was EXCELLENT!!!!

Delicious food, nice staff, and, possibly, one of the best restaurants in Lourdes. If you want to eat over there, I suggest that you either make a reservation or go there upon beginning of service. Otherwise, you would have to wait for a table, which is ultimately a sign of the restaurant's success.

I come to Lourdes almost every year and I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time in 2025... The pizza was one of the best I've ever had and after that the dessert was also 5/5. The service is excellent. I come from the Balkans where the food is considered one of the best and most traditional, but Da Marco still surprised me. All praise!

Probably one of the best pizzas I've had anywhere in the world. I got the Reine which is mushrooms, ham and basil. It was absolutely delicious, don't usually like mushrooms on pizza but it was banging. Service is excellent, staff all brilliant.

I ordered their set menu which had an anchovy appetizer, small squid in linguine, and a chocolate dessert. Squid was cooked in garlic and was very flavorful and tender; the linguine was a bit dry. Great staff; warm and Cosy atmosphere. Our group of five were easily seated despite not having a reservation. The pavlova dessert was excellent!

We stopped here for lunch today before heading back to Spain. We really enjoyed our lunch. Delicious lamb stew and pork cheeks both accompanied by a fresh mashed potato. A glass of house red wine and a plate of delicious cheese completed our lunch. A place to highly recommend when visiting Lourdes.

Delicious food! Every dish was fantastic! The service was quick and attentive. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome! I’d go back in a heartbeat!

We spent a week in Lourdes recently and very much enjoyed a dinner at O Piment Rouge. This is a Basque style restaurant situated along Rue de la Grotte. The interior is nicely decorated, there is a fair amount of seating and table spacing is good. I'd recommend making reservations as they were full up on the evening that we dined there. On the occasion, we ordered the Duck Confit (leg) as well as the Duck Breast both served with fries. The confit had crispy skin, succulent and flavourful meat. The duck breast was beautifully grilled at medium-rare with a delightful reddish pink centre. It tasted excellent. Both dishes were worth returning to reorder. House wine and Basque style custard cake served on the evening were worth returning for as well. Overall, this was a great restaurant and meal, one easily worth recommending in Lourdes.

We ordered the menu with a soup, tagliatelle with calamari and ice cream. All 3 options were very bad. The soup had no flavor (it tasted like water), the calamari was very chewy with a flavor of burnt garlic and the ice cream tasted old and had crystals of frozen water on it. Really bad experience, I don’t recommend.

Food was so so, wasn't impressed. Gambos were overcooked and hard to peel, risotto didn't have any flavor, duck breast was like rubber - hard to cut

Great service. They were very patient, to help me translate, provide options and super willing to help. We even receive an small appetizer as courtesy from the house. Food was amazing in size and quality. Great value for the investment. I fully recommend 🥂

had my third lunch here, first in 2013 and 2025 whilst on pilgrimage to Lourdes, in 2019, we didn't have a lunch reservation and didn't get a table, so, upon arrival in Lourdes, we ensured we made a reservation prior to arriving for lunch, same food, same taste, however the set menu no longer offers duck confit as main course and we didn't feel like eating chicken nor trout nor rump steak but having said that 3 Spanish tourists happily gobbled up their set lunch so it must have been good, for us we decided to go alas carte

promised much from arrival, huge portion, but the steak ordered medoum was under cooked and barely hot, the fried were clearly microwaved.

Best restaurant in Lourdes. Menu is always interesting and seasonal. Plates are delivered with great pride and attention to detail and matched with their tastes. Last visit after a hard day in the mountains I had the Talisker dessert, my treat for tired legs and topped it off with a glass of the World's best whisky The Talisker. Keep up the good work guys and hopefully see you soon.

I visited this place in August 2023, and while the setting and atmosphere were beautiful, the service was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we sat down, we felt like we were being treated with the attitude of “we’ll serve you when we want.” Just five minutes after receiving the menu, we were ready to order. Instead of taking our order, the server scolded us and told us to wait. It was frustrating and unwelcoming—especially when another table that arrived after us was served before we were. The food itself was average and didn’t justify the high prices. It's a shame, because the ambiance had so much potential to make it a great dining experience. Unfortunately, the poor service left a lasting negative impression.

Great place with friendly service, portions were really generous. Pork and duck were delicious.

Piccante and Lasagna are good. Spaghetti is just good. The guy is very friendly and accomodating us with the table.

Will never return again. Food cold and disgusting , returned 3times. Tried to charge me for food I did not eat and argued that it wasn't cold and reheated 3 times instead of giving fresh dish. They argued with me at till and were aggressive. Under new management and not the same place.

We shared the hamburger served with fries and salad although the menu did not mention the sides. It was really good! We would come back for the burger. Half the burger was filling for one petite person.

Pizzas and lasagna are good. Service was so so and they overcharged several beers. When questioned about it they initially didn’t want to correct, but finally gave up.

Pizza and pasta are delicious here. The staff is friendly. If you don't like Italian food you will at least enjoy the nice view of the river and the basilica

The waiter recommended the calzone, which ended up far exceeding my expectations. Seems like a popular place for pilgrims to Lourdes to eat based on the convenient location.

After reading the amazing reviews, I decided to book a table for dinner. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the food one bit. Service was slow. Staff were cold and the linguine with prawn I had was so salty and I couldn’t even swallow. I ate all the prawns but left the linguine. The staff asked if everything was good and I gave my honest feedback. The staff apologised and that’s about it. There are better options elsewhere.

This restaurant offers classic French dishes that are very well-executed. The waitress was kind enough to toast the bread basket as per our request. We got the veal cutlet and beef tenderloin with pepper sauce. We savoured every bite. The place also has an elegant/classic French ambiance.

We came here after an attempt at dinner at a paella place which didn’t work out was a understatement. We ended up in here with little choice because it was late but we were so glad. It’s a classic brasserie on the main stretch with excellent A/C (which is a luxury here), friendly bartender and service staff. First, they gave us a carafe of cold water without asking which was amazing cuz we were hot and (cold!) water doesn’t just come when you sit down like in the US. If you don’t ask correctly here, most places would just try to give you a small bottle of water with charge. Sorry for my dissertation about my excitement of water.. The food is what I care about the most and they were all excellent! I had the best escaroles and fois gras, one with apples recommended by the bartender. I read mixed reviews of this place but maybe we chose the better food so we were very happy with it. The steaks that were ordered for the table were too undercooked. The bartender assured us it’s OK to order medium rare to medium but they definitely came out closer to rare to bleu. We didn’t say anything because that’s obviously the chef’s preference not the customer’s lol. The mushrooms sauce served with it was great though. Overall, we enjoyed it a lot with both the food and the service.

Enjoyed our tenderloin and recommended regional red wine. Tenderloin done to perfection.... The pan seared foie gras was a winner. We walked in without reservation and had no issues. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Price is reasonable Visited mid dec

Lourdes can be such a tourist trap. Ate a wonderful healthy generous omelet and salad, and saw very nice platters pass by. Great for families too. Recommend highly

Cosy atmosphere, attentive service, carefully and creatively presented dishes, a tiramisu to remember.... the only downside was that the salad portions were too soggy, limp in texture. not crunchy enough.

Thank you very much, George, Nicolas and other servers and also, those inside the kitchen for always a good meal for me. Glad to be back and to see that almost all tables were again full of happy people excited to have their meals.
