Art Museums
Amgueddfa Parc Howard, also known as Parc Howard Museum, is housed in a grand 1886 estate made from Bath stone and surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland. The museum showcases locally made pottery, paintings, and other objects that depict the unique history and heritage of Llanelli. Visitors can explore exhibits ranging from the town's Iron Age roots to its prominence as a tin manufacturing center.
Free entrance. A wonderful small municipal museum and art gallery set in a beautiful park. Perfect for children as it's a manageable size and with an excellent hands-on science area upstairs. Friendly and helpful staff. Good collection of paintings.

Lovely place for a day out for anyone who's a child or older. The house has many interesting historical displays including local pottery items, welsh artefacts, plenty of art and even a room with some interesting visual games to try out. There's also plenty to see in the grounds including well tended gardens, a playground, a paddling pool and even one of Llanelli's two gorsedd stone circles as used in Eisteddfod ceremonies. And the lawns are perfect for a picnic or just to sun yourself (if the welsh clouds have parted). With the addition of a gift shop that also sells ice creams and hot drinks, and the helpful and friendly staff, it's a credit to Llanelli and well worth a visit in my opinion.

Free entry however asking donation of £3n which I have made. I have checked website for times and days. We attended, daughter loved it there, esspecially games room, ypu can do colouring, play games, but we were asked to leave maybe bot even aftwr 30min as there was a function happening. That was a shame ; as it was rainy day and wanted to do something meaningful as well. Staff was very apologetic, but I would advise to make sure that, things like that are updated on the Web as some people travel from far.

We enjoyed our visit. The gardens are very well kept and the museum was interesting covering Llanelli's history and it's pottery links. Good for those with young kids as the imaginerium has lots to keep them entertained.

A free museum in a gorgeous park, donated to the locals in the early 1900s and still free today! Definitely worth a visit to find out the history of the town, the house and the surrounding area. A great little gem for Llanelli
Ellis H — Google review
Lovely place, open and quiet but toilets, museum and other areas closed on a Saturday. We used the play area which was up the back right passed the small duck pond and museum which was quite decent but did have scaffolded off areas with no explanation. We did enjoy our visit and will be going back. Great little sand out to bring beach toys to in the park play area also. Flowers in most areas were looking great!

A public park with beautiful grounds, a bowling green and a new kiddies' playground. The mansion is pleasant and there's an interesting free exhibition inside. It's just a shame there's no cafe, although the mansion does sell a few drinks and ice lollies. The grounds and gardens are beautiful at this time of the year (spring) and the grounds staff keep it looking stunning.
James M — Google review
Lovely, varied walks on this stunning park. Maintained by enthusiastic staff plus volunteers. They do a grand job. It's a pity the old bandstand is in bad repair and no longer in use. It must have been magnificent in its heyday. A wonderful fairytale playground, structures made from wood, is a delight for infants. Tennis courts behind serve older enthusiasts. A 'secret', sunken memorial garden with two benches gives the opportunity to sit and reflect. An extensive field is an open playground for all, dogs alike. My Nell demands to be brought here on an almost daily basis. Unfortunately she isn't allowed into the museum in the hall. Another pleasure still awaits me.

Bird watching area
WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre, managed by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, is a 500-acre nature reserve on the outskirts of Llanelli. It's home to a variety of bird species including flamingos, geese, and Mandarin ducks. The salt marshes provide habitat for rare and endangered species like water voles and black-headed gulls. Visitors can explore open wild wetlands and aviaries housing exotic birds.
Fabulous few hours in this beautiful location. Lots of wildlife to see and opportunity to feed the geese and duck (remember your stock of 20p). Free parking, dogs on leads and easy access for those with mobility issues. Staff are very friendly and I was fortunate to get in for £1 as part of the HASSRA scheme. Lovely cafe and gift shop.
Reddy M — Google review
Fabulous day out for the family or on your own. The birdwatching is amazing, so many different species. There's lots of activities for children at holiday times. Nice cafe with efficient hard working staff. The car park is free and of a good size. We've been here many times in the past and will surely visit many more times in the future.
Scott L — Google review
Absolutely fantastic day out of anyones looking for somewhere to take the kids. And if you live local an annual pass is highly recommended! We try to go once a week if the weathers nice and it costs me less than £10 for a family of 4 with a pass.
Leanne K — Google review
Brilliant day out for families and nature lovers alike. We were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff inside a clean, well kept and cosy visitor centre. The park is split into two halves: one that has lots of endangered birds and some things to entertain children, and another that feels more like a traditional nature reserve. Both sides are quiet, peaceful and interesting to explore. Plenty of variety of ducks, swans and geese, as well as rarer species such as cranes and flamingos, to look at. You can even feed the birds in the European section. Lots of exceptionally clean hides, some with stunning panoramic views but all with beautiful views (it is possible to see even more animals from the hides), additionally there is an observation tower in the visitor centre which offers stunning views of the landscape and nature, sadly if you are in a wheelchair you can't get to this one as it is only accessed by steep, spiral steps. Plenty of things to keep kids entertained, and quite a few places to stop for a picnic. The whole thing is set on a beautiful landscape which makes coming even more worthwhile. Definitely worth a full day's worth of a visit.
Pingu P — Google review
Had a great time with my wheelchair bound friend and her mother (she hired a mobility scooter). They both had a lovely time pottering around the paths (most were accessible with care, if a little bumpy). We had a very enjoyable cake and coffee/tea, with a couple of gluten free options.
Kathleen F — Google review
Really enjoyed it.Beautiful view from cafe of pond with geese and swans. Saw a spoonbill and a sparrowhawk from one of the hides. Nice to feed the mallards.
Helen A — Google review
This place is fantastic. It is so well laid out with two main areas. The area through the cafe has the bird collection and excellent hides. Don't worry if you cannot identify the species as the local birdwatchers are very willing to help you and point our particular birds through their telescopes. I saw a curlew sandpiper for the first time, thanks guys. The other area is wilder through wet woodland and reed beds. It makes a lovely walk with plenty to see if you stop and allow the birds to settle you will see them. The visitor centre has lots to entertain families with young children a cafe and a shop.

Fantastic place 😀 an asset to Llanelli town. The atmosphere & service here is second to none, food & drink are great quality and fairly priced. A great place for a coffee & a catch up. I love that they open 6 days a week too and accept cash (some coffee places are now pushing card only) the staff are so pleasant and attentive. Diolch!

We had a fantastic tour last weekend for our anniversary. The tour guides were so passionate and enthusiastic, and it's the best tour I've been on. Usually I switch off with all the facts but they interesting stories and it was really interactive, we loved it. We had afternoon tea afterwards which was delicious. Would really recommend the tour, it's really varied and interesting

The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back, always very clean, and food awesome. Its always lovely when I come here and service always amazing. My main reason for writing this review is the outstanding service provided today from all the staff and in particular from a lad who we found out was called Paul. If you can imagine the best service you've received and double it, nothing was ever too much and attention to detail and attentiveness to all the customers needs was always there. Heart and soul in the job. Well done Paul, all the gorgeous staff and Llanelli house 👏

Absolutely amazing experience, a warm welcome from staff and all aspects of the tour was given first class. Our host was so accommodating, knowledgeable and enabled us to engage from start to finish of the tour. The tour was at a steady pace, and interactive so we can really absorb the information given. Having images & sounds projected, also live characters helped to bring the experience to life. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Llanelli.

The best experience I've had in a very long time, the breakfast was out of this world, all freshly cooked to order, and the cappuccino was top quality. The staff were so friendly and made you feel so comfortable and at ease And as we're leaving the lovely lady told us about the history of the house and the tours that you can book to go on......can't wait to go back for another visit soon

Traditional market
Llanelli Indoor Market is a covered market offering a taste of Welsh classics like faggot meatballs and laverbread. The market features fresh produce stalls, hand-knitted wool jumpers, soy candles, and other goods in the retail section. Visitors can explore various stalls including perfume and makeup, while also finding birthday gifts, clothes, books, bags, and bath bombs.
This review is an extra piece from my previous visit, the following are just some of the amazing stalls you can visit in the brilliant Llanelli Indoor Market . The perfume and makeup stall is my favourite obviously. The only down side I would say is the public toilet in the market, I can't remember ever having to use it and come out Happy, it is smelly, outdated, and truthfully the toilets are a no go for me, I would rather spend money in a cafe for a coffee and use thiers.

Fresh meat fruit and vegetables and lovely staff! Even a little corner shop to have a quick lunch break before getting on with the day. Highly recommended. Would recommend the Thai food stall they serve great food too.

There is a little Thai food shack that is worthy of a mention and even possibly a dedicated journey, amazing!
Jason P — Google review
It’s a traditional small town indoor market that in many ways is unchanged over the past 60-70 years (if it wasn’t for the computer repair and phone case stalls). It has locally grown produce, cafes offering a full range of meals, an old fashioned proper knitting wool pitch (closed Mondays because…. well little old ladies don’t do Mondays). It is a lovely place to just wander around and see people who have been using it since it was established.
Tom M — Google review
A hidden gem in the centre of Llanelli. Everything you need under one roof. I've found lovely Birthday gifts here, clothes, books, bags and bath bombs. The stall holders are friendly and it's aways good to support local businesses. Plenty of little cafe bars to eat at. Love it.

A little bit of everything in here. We went primarily for the butchers and we wasn't disappointed! Also made a stop at the little sweet shop. Can easily use wheelchair.. plenty of room and access.

Restaurant
Tafarn Morlais, located in the village of Llangennech, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales, is a charming family-owned traditional pub housed in a historic building that was once a blacksmith. Following extensive renovations, it now features a private hire dining room for events and functions. The pub offers a cozy atmosphere with an open log fire during winter and serves a delightful menu featuring steaks, grills, chef's specials, salads, and light bites.
Tafarn Morlais is back - and it's worth the wait! During our usual Thursday walk through Langennech, we stopped by the Tafarn Morlais to see what was happening with the pub that's been empty for months. We met the new landlords Mitch and Sophie, who explained they've been working hard to address some significant issues left by the previous operators. They were clearly determined to get things right, and when they mentioned Saturday would be their first evening service with the new menu, we booked a table for our extended family What a difference a passionate team makes. Our party of six plus a young baby had an excellent evening. Chef Wes delivered quality across the board - the rump steak on volcanic stone was of high quality from Howells Butchers of Penclawdd, the Thai hanging kebabs were full of flavour, the garlic mushroom chicken hit the mark, and the cheeseburger was genuinely good. The service stood out particularly. The team conducted regular check-backs throughout all courses without being intrusive, striking that difficult balance between attentive and overbearing. Having worked as a mystery diner for several companies, I can say with confidence that both the service and food quality would have scored highly in any professional assessment. What impressed us most was the team's genuine interest in feedback. They actively sought out what was working well and where they might improve - the kind of approach that shows real commitment to getting it right. It's clear that Mitch, Sophie and their team are putting serious effort into bringing this local pub back to standard. Like any reopening, they're working through the inevitable early challenges, but the foundation is solid. The food quality is there, the service standards are high, and most importantly, they care about doing it properly. A proper local pub run by people who understand what that means to a community. They deserve the support, and based on our experience, they've earned it. We'll definitely be back.

I thought I would leave a review as we have not visited for a while and could see new owners were trying to get it established. What can I say what fantastic food!! All freshly cooked to order, even making a meal for a fussy eater that was not on the menu. What lovely people made us feel super welcome and when they knew it was my birthday and my husbands birthday the following day they came out singing with some gorgeous chocolate cake. Thank you guys we will be back

Absolutely amazing couldnt be any happier right now the flavour they bring into the food is something else havent been here for like 8 years as its always been hit and miss but they have had new owners cooking their own food its bloody lush very lovely people who own it now you got to come here and try their food what an experience

Have always loved this pub so happy to see it reopened with owners that seem to have put a lot of work into making it a great place. Great beer garden with reasonably priced drinks. Staff are so friendly too! Haven't eaten here yet at the kitchen is not quite up and running but lucky enough to view a sample menu from a lovely member of staff. It's so nice to see a menu different to every standard pub around Llanelli - cannot wait to try the hot stones!

Under the new management there now. Had an excellent evening out. Starters and main ordered . Front of house staff were outstanding and extremely friendly and professional. Food was served at a very high standard and tasted amazing . Would highly recommend to friends

The food is world class, the flavour the quality and presentation absolutely amazing, Service was fantastic i couldn't ask for better service, I visited here a few years ago and was a little disappointed, but we came again and im glad we did, its not eating out, its an experience, customer satisfied... will be returning very soon,
Matt L — Google review
50% of the group were satisfied with their food - positive comments were, “it was very tasty”, negative comments were, “I’ve had better tasting” and presentation on hanging kebabs was dire. All complained that the menu was very limited and even difficult to navigate the way it was laid out with the clipboard. Little things maybe but you don’t get these issues at good pub restaurants - the Bridge. All of our biggest gripe was the state of the pub left little to be desired. One side of the restaurant/bar area was full of rubbish - like they were getting ready for a car boot sale. Outdoor Ninja grill just left on the floor by our seating area. Come on! Put all this stuff anywhere but where your customers see it. Unfortunately we won’t be returning anytime soon but good luck! The staff/owners seemed pleasant after all. In order to pinch some clientele from the Bridge they’ll really need to improve quite considerably!

This is a gem of a restaurant. The food was really nice. Definitely up on par with Thai food and we just came back from a Thailand holiday so we are familiar with the genuine article. The waitress was very polite and provided a great service. And the best part was the prices - they were very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. We will happily go back again.

Whether you choose to dine in or opt for takeaway, you're guaranteed a delightful experience filled with authentic flavors reminiscent of the Indian subcontinent.
Delicious, quality Indian. Been here a number of times over the years. Mainly have take aways but also eat in every now and then. Cannot fault it, the taste and quality has consistently always been at a very high standard.

Had a takeaway from here cost around £18.00 for 1x lamb takeaway marsala ,1 x mushroom rice and 1 x keema nan. There was hardly any lamb in the takeaway marsala, enough to fit in the corner of tray . The keema nan was OK. The mushroom rice was chewy , dry and didnt really taste of much . Im really disappointed ive been a regular customer here for years having there buffet over the years, sit down but majority of the time a takeaway. Just hope it gets back to its former self

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Has to be one of the best testing carry restaurants you will ever find. I lived fır many year's in Indian sub continent, and this food is classic and very very good. Staff or friendly and helpful, and decor a bit dated but adds to the charm. Highly recommended. Certainly the best carry for Miles around. Parking a bit of an issue, but do not let this put you off. Location at heart of the town.

A fine dining in Indian style in the heart of the town centre. The ambience and service is of the higher standard except that one young male waiter is not very knowledgeable and had to pass on to the experienced one to answer queries about the food. It’s surprising that we could not pay via Apple Pay although it’s displayed that this facility was available!
Mas H — Google review
Awful meal for new years eve. Dripping in oil, so bland and lacking flavour. The Kochi literally looks and tastes like someone took an old onion bhaji and broke it up over the top of the curry. If it's a chicken chat, strangest one I've tasted. You pay a little extra in this place too and it's really poor. Not sure how they get awards as I've tried better food many times from unrecognised takeaways. Wouldn't order again. So disappointed. They missed a main out and asked me to go back. Nobody has time for that at 9.30 at night. A 40 quid meal which was missing a main worth 10 quid and what was there was bland, dry and lacking in seasoning. I couldn't get anywhere through the meals and they'll be for the food recycling. Shame. I'll always remember new years for the awful food served tonight.

I went for a meal this week with 2 friends and although pricey as usual (the bill for the 3 of us was just over £100). As there was food over I asked for a container and carrier bag to take home and was amazed they had charged for these at the bottom of the bill after spending all that money there. I had booked a large table for family for a special wedding anniversary. The meals were wonderful and the waiters were great. A Four because we asked for a circular bonquet seating area as where we were seated was a little squashed ..but were told it was reserved! an hour and a half later when we were leaving it was still vacant! Food is always good and today didn't disappoint but it was not quite it's usual standard and it seemed a little rushed so attention to detail was a little lacking.. cutlery was plonked on the table so I felt it was a little sloppy!! will I go back?? Yes definitely because the food is usually good and the staff extremely friendly but sadly tonight it didn't quite cut it!

This charming venue is perfect for social gatherings, offering an enticing selection of tapas and grill options alongside refreshing cocktails. We have eaten here before but thought I would add this to my scrambled egg tour! So I had scrambled egg and brown toast which was lovely, nice change not to have sourdough. Eggs a little form for me, but food was quick and mine was delicious. Hubby had Chorizo, which he found a bit bitter, but there was loads of it! This place is a delight to visit. They are usually quite busy for a very good reason. The food is excellent! Whether it is something as simple as a coffee and a piece of delicious cake or a light lunch that you will certainly remember then you are pretty much certain to be satisfied.
