Sights & Landmarks
Fortress
Bozcaada Castle, located on the island of Bozcaada in the Aegean Sea, is a well-preserved historical site dating back to the Ottoman Empire. While its exact origins are unclear, it underwent repairs and reconstruction over the centuries. The castle was restored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1996, giving it its present appearance. Visitors can explore this robust building with panoramic views and also enjoy an amphora exhibit inside.
Tenedos (Bozcaada) castle is well restored. This historical site was disputed between Genoa and Venice, then fortified again after Ottoman conquest. A robust building with panoramic vistas around. Easy to visit.

Leaves a lot to your imagination. 50 TL entry fee

Amazing beachs, roads, boutique hotels, adventure opportunities. You can get Bozcaada via ferry along with vehicle. it cost 300TL 2 way. last ferry from canakale is 11pm. 30 minutes in total journey. Hotels are little expensive as compare to services and comfortablilty. start from 1000 TL/night. however if you are on 1 day trip i suggest to spend night at canakale where you can get nice hotel start from 500tl/night. you can drive around whole island in hour but you will pullover everywhere because its too scenery and attractive.

Corvus Şarap is one of the Turkish wines you can sample in Bozcaada, along with other local varieties like Talay, Ataol, Amadeus, and Camlibag. The island's vineyards offer tours where you can learn more about Corvus and other wines such as Gulerada and Talay.
This year, I had the chance to sample Corvus wines. While they may be slightly pricier than other wines sold on the island, they offer a range of high-quality and award-winning options. The taste is fresh and pleasing, avoiding excessive dryness. I highly recommend them. The staff inside the winery were attentive and helpful, readily assisting us with any inquiries. If you have the space, they would make a delightful gift representing the beauty of Bozcaada.

(Translated by Google) We've been buying Corvus for years, it's good, it's nice; But it is difficult to understand the pricing policy of the shop on the island. The price of Merlot 2018 on the island is 1000 liras, and you can buy the same wine from Ankara Çağdaş for around 800 liras. The prices of the factory outlet should be more affordable. (Original) Yıllardır Corvus alıyoruz, iyidir, hoştur; fakat adadaki dükkanın fiyatlandırma politikasını anlamak güç. (Translated by Google) The wines are above average, the stone is heavy, this is where the saying is true once again. The wines of the producer are cheaper in the wine shop in Izmir. Forget coming all the way to Izmir, the prices are 150-200 TL cheaper per bottle in the Uysal supermarket right across from the store on the island. While it should be cheap at the producer, the market that buys from the producer and sells it with a profit on top sells the same wine for 200 TL cheaper, it's a joke, unfortunately I was very upset when I saw it in the market after buying it. We bought it because there was no tasting in any way, whether paid or free, if I had tasted it, I wouldn't have bought those wines for that money anyway.

(Translated by Google) We were tourists visiting the island for the Jazz Festival between September 5th and 7th, 2025. Knowing that Corvus is the island wine and having a few favorites where I live, I eagerly entered the shop, but the sales experience was quite interesting. They said they didn't offer tastings, but that might be the case (as I said, the product is familiar to me). I saw a 20% discount on the promotional purchase price. When I inquired about the included items, I was met with a disinterested and unprofessional tone of voice. When I asked if there would be a discount for bulk purchases, I wasn't expecting such a dismissive response as "You just buy it, we'll see." I was with friends, and the level of conversation made us uncomfortable and left. We had another tasting at the Corvus cafe near the Salhane (they offer tastings of the Novum series, so I don't think it's necessary). They gave me a 10% discount card valid at the sales office. On the day we were leaving the island, when I returned to shop, an even more bizarre exchange took place. I ordered a Corvus Corpus wine and asked the price. I was planning to buy one for myself and my friends. He quoted the price 400 TL higher than what we'd drunk at the hotel we were staying at. When I pointed out this price difference to the seller, he replied, "If you can get it at that price, go buy it all there." When I showed him the 10% discount card, he said the promotion was from the previous week and wasn't valid, but he could try to work something out for the discount. My friend and I left the shop without making any purchases. I went to the tasting cafe next to the Salhane and tried to get a price quote there. The same product had increased by 1,000 TL over the retail store. He offered to use the 10% discount card, but I didn't dispute the invalidity of the discount card. We thanked him and left. As someone who has been buying Corvus wines at restaurants and as treats for guests since 2013, I was deeply saddened by this negative experience and the incomprehensible pricing policy I experienced at his restaurant in Bozcaada. I believe Corvus wines are a significant asset to Turkey. A company that produces internationally award-winning wines, however, don't ignore the damaging impact of this negative customer experience on the brand's image. It's safe to say that you need better strategies for connecting with individual customers who have visited the island where you produce, and you can't solve this problem with just a smile. Smiling is important, but it's also possible to act as if you're cursing while smiling. Please protect this brand, be aware of the situation, and take steps to improve it.

Salhane Bozcaada is a beloved spot that used to be an old waterfront abattoir, now transformed into a vibrant venue offering stunning views of the castle from its own jetty. The place hosts various events and has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Its menu features delectable snacks and a rich selection of drinks. You can enjoy pleasant conversations with your loved ones while savoring your drinks in this charming setting.
For some it may be just have been a simple cheeseburger but for me, it was a perfect birthday meal, with a basil cocktail and by the fireplace. I recommend this place for its authenticity, the soundtrack and, obviously, the people’s kindness <3

The atmosphere is very nice; it’s the only popular place in Bozcaada that truly lives up to what’s said about it. We had drinks at night and went back in the morning to swim and have coffee. The only downside was that the Aperol we had didn’t really taste like an Aperol Spritz. But overall, the setting was lovely. In the evenings, it’s better to bring something to wear. The staff are friendly and very helpful with requests.

The word "unique" should be used for this type of places. Very unique. Once upon a time this place was used as slaughter house but today it is served people as a cafe bar. During summer time it should be very crowdy I think because I have never been in Island in summer but during spring and winter this island and everyplace on this island much more beautiful such this place. On the other side if you are reading this comment imagine that it is writing by a man not young anymore :)

Talay Sarapcilik offers a wine tasting experience with a selection of 5 different wines for 220, which is considered reasonable compared to other places. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy their good quality wines. The tasting menu allows you to choose from a variety of wines at an affordable price range. Customers have praised the pleasant environment and attentive staff, recommending others to try it out.
One of the local wine producers in Bozcaada. They have wines of different tastes and it's one of my favourite local producers in Turkey. You can do wine tasting for a moderate price, before you decide which one to choose. My personal favourite is Cabarnet Savignon.

We visited Talay Şarapçılık during our stay on the island, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The setting had a relaxed charm, oak barrels placed along the street were repurposed as tasting tables, creating a casual yet authentic vibe that fit Bozcaada perfectly. Even though I’m not usually a wine person, I was completely drawn in. We tasted 11 different wines, ranging from local varietals to classic French and Spanish grapes, each one distinct, thoughtfully crafted, and introduced with care by the staff. Each tasting came with a small serving of beyaz peynir, but we also ordered a separate cheese platter featuring four different cheeses. It was clear that they had put real thought into curating cheeses that complemented the wines. The pairings were spot on, and elevated the whole experience. For those who enjoy sweeter wines, the Karasakız was a standout. Fragrant, smooth, and balanced. To my own surprise, I ended up buying 14 bottles to take home. That’s how much I enjoyed it. The oak-aged reds, in particular, were rich, full-bodied, and left a lasting impression. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate and not once did it feel commercial or rushed. It felt personal. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or simply curious, Talay Şarapçılık is a must-visit on Bozcaada. You’ll walk in for a tasting and might just leave with a box full of bottles and a new favorite wine.

(Translated by Google) We tried the tasting menu consisting of 5 different wines at Talay Winery in Bozcaada, and paid 500₺ in total. The quality of the wines was quite good; Especially those made from grape varieties specific to the island made you feel the unique spirit of Bozcaada. The kitchen was closed that day, so we were only served crusty bread, but we still had a good time. Luckily, we had the opportunity to meet the owner of the place. A very gracious gentleman shared with us his new wine, which has not yet been released — it tasted truly amazing and we were very happy with this nice gesture. The gentleman working was also very attentive and friendly, we felt very good. Those wines we sipped against the sunset, accompanied by the light wind of Bozcaada, were etched in our minds as a sweet memory. It will definitely be one of the first places we stop by when we come to the island again. Greek Orthodox church
Sights & Landmarks
Virgin Mary Church, a historic Greek Orthodox church on the island, is believed to have been originally built during the Venetian period. The town center surrounding the church features traditional architecture and narrow cobbled streets, with notable landmarks such as Namazgah Fountain and Alay Bey Mosque. While it was previously closed without specified opening times, it now reportedly opens only on special religious holidays.
When I first visited this church it was closed. There were no signs that tell you what are the opening times. From what I’ve heard now it opens only on very special religious holidays. On my last day on the island, I heard the church bell ringing. I quickly went to the Church and took the attached photos and footage until I was told that I shouldn’t do so.

I think the rum orthodox church of Panayia is the island sight second only to the castle. Nevreste Bozcaada is a charming restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience on the island. The establishment is known for its fresh and high-quality seafood, as well as an array of delectable meze and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Visitors can enjoy their meals under the iconic yediveren rose tree, adding to the unique ambiance of the place. Nevreste also provides a picturesque setting for breakfast with stunning views of the island's landscape.
We stayed in Bozcaada for 3 days. And 2 nights out of 3 we had the chance to eat at Nevreste. We are living in Asia and my wife and daughter is Asian. We had the most delightfull dinners in Turkiye here in Nevreste. The appetizers are out of this world. Made with very fresh and premium ingredient. The tastes are on spot. We fall in love with Bozcaada Bomb especially , a unique appetizer special to Nevreste. First night we had deep fried Dulger fish and second night we had steamed seabass with tomato and herbs. Both of them was extremely tasty and well cooked. The place is very clean , the atmosphere is great and the staff are all great. I can say we had the best experience in our Turkey trip. The owners are also very friendly and attentive. Everything was top notch. Highly recommended.

In my 46 years, I’ve savored many delights, but nothing beats the deliciousness and charm of Nevreste. Wow, what an experience! This warm and welcoming spot, which I’ve heard so much about, has now become my favorite memory of Bozcaada. The wonderful people, professional service, spotless cleanliness, groovy Turkish music, and incredible flavors made it truly special. The appetizers were amazing: sour cherry wrapped vine leaves, stuffed zucchini flowers, Selanik meze, herbed cheese, fava, island tzatziki, date artichokes, smoked mussels; and the hot starters like island delight, levrek roasted, saganaki cheese were just perfect. The main course of grilled sea bass and the volcanic dessert left me in awe. When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I said to my spouse was, “Those appetizers were incredible….Good morning by the way!” We left our hearts and taste buds at Nevreste. Thank you for everything, Nevreste! We’ll definitely be back again and again. Plus, the music was lovely, the place was super clean, and the prices were just right.

Batti Balik Restaurant, located in the Cumhuriyet Mah. Rum Neighborhood, reflects the island spirit with its white and blue colors and fun wall paintings. It is one of Bozcaada's most famous fish restaurants known for its carefully prepared mezes and dishes. The restaurant offers a variety of recommended delicacies such as sardines wrapped in grape leaves, octopus, salmon pasta with island herbs, and local cheese halva.
The chef hand picked our starters, wine and main. All delicious! One of the best dining experiences I had in Turkey.

The food was great! Definitely try some fish. However it is a bit pricey, approximately 550tl per person with rakı.

We had a lovely dinner but the prices are sky high. And it is very annoying that you acn not see the price before you order. In Europe we could have a dinner much cheaper

It was a dissapointment. The staff and the owner is so rude. They ruined our night. The food wasnt that great. We asked for ice, they didnt had it. We asked for tea they didnt had it and finally we asked for coffee and they told us that the machine was broken. They didnt even try to make up for anything. They dont deserve anything.

Owner was really rude. He doesn’t care about social distancing. He told us to leave the place when we try to warn him about social distancing.

Meyhane
Restaurant
Simyon Geleneksel Meyhane is a popular dining spot on the island, offering a traditional Turkish meyhane experience with an extensive selection of mezes and raki. The attentive and efficient service provided by Simyon adds to the overall appeal of this establishment. After indulging in a delightful meal, take a leisurely stroll through the town and savor the evening atmosphere.
We’ve been to this place a few times before and always came for their bone-in Dülger kavurma — it’s absolutely legendary. This time, we made a special trip just for that dish, and it did not disappoint. We also ordered a variety of mezes: the caramelized onion barbunya pilaki, atom, artichoke, şakşuka, and black-eyed peas. All were delicious, but the pilaki was out of this world. The seasonal salad served in the middle was also fresh and flavorful. Honestly, this spot alone is worth the trip to Bozcaada.

The food wasn’t that good but the service was. There are better restaurants in the neighborhood. This place is also expensive.

Not sure why the rating of this place is low. The food was FANTASTIC and the service was fast. The waiters were attentive and kind. It is pricey, yes but it is worth it!

Ordered takeaway last night. They gave us uncooked chips with the food. So disappointing...

We have visited this place off season so we were the only customers. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they found someone speaking English from the place nearby to help us navigate in the menu. The food was very good!

The ambiance is nice but we didn’t receive the great service and the food is good but not great, especially for the expensive price. Caution, they don’t have menus so you’re not aware of prices, and they suggest many dishes to try. We were surprised when we received the bill. Also, it took over 30 mins to receive one dish.

Extraordinary Greek and local appetizers, great wine, fresh fish. Highly recommended! Book before you go. Paid less than 100$ for 8 varieties of appetizers, a bottle of Corvus wine, and a large sea bass for three.

Maybe the best restaurant in bozcaada. Great choices of mezes tapas and fish and wines. Great hospitality. If you really want to taste different mezes in town you must eat here. Wont regret it and the prices are moderate compared to equivalents.

Well seasoned potato with garlic and parsley! There was ‘’balik tantuni’’ which were prepared with care, and "tereyaginda karides" was very delicious too like other dishes. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend that you make a reservation before going to the restaurant.

Very tasty limited food. Different and trusty cold appetizers. Well seasoned potato with garlic and parsley! Well prepared ‘’balik tantuni’’ with them tempting bread under. The only deficiency is Turkish Tea :( and of course can’t forget the lovely waiters.

A place we make reservation before going to the island, that's how we love it. Friendly, comfortable and delicious fish what else could you ask for. Not a very full menu but they do have is awesome especially Begendili Balik

Very noisy and amateur, there’s a real fish and raki restaurant in front of it, prefer there for fresh taste and value.

Food, atmosphere and the stuff were nice however portions were incredibly small even with the high prices.

Variety of food is very limited, not so tasty and quite expensive. I would not recommend, especially considering much better alternatives in the neighbourhood.
